Let the In-Fighting Continue: Biden Delivered Another Blow to the Progressive Community
Progressives voted for former Vice President Joe Biden out of hate for President Donald Trump, not because they were excited about a potential Biden presidency. Now progressives are even more upset with the presumptive president-elect. The reason? They aren't a fan of his cabinet picks.
The Justice Democrats – the progressive group responsible for the rise of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – on Tuesday slammed the Biden Team's "corporate-friendly insiders" like Rep. Cedric Richmond and political aide Steve Ricchetti. Richmond was tapped to be one of Biden's senior advisers and Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement. Ricchetti was named as a White House counselor.
According to the Justice Democrats, both Ricchetti and Richmond's appointments fail to "help usher in the most progressive Democratic administration in generations."
"If Joe Biden continues making corporate-friendly appointments to his White House, he will risk quickly fracturing the hard-earned goodwill his team built with progressives to defeat Donald Trump," the group's executive director, Alexandra Rojas, said in a statement.
The progressive organization takes issue with Richetti being a former pharma lobbyist, where he represented clients who opposed Medicare for All, one of the far Left's biggest pushes.
The other issue progressives have made a key part of their identity over the last few years: the Green New Deal. According to Justice Democrats, Richmond's appointment hinders that goal when he's "one of the top Democratic recipients of fossil fuel money." He allegedly received $92,000 from oil and gas PACs this year alone.
"Richmond has been aggressively criticized by his own constituents for failing to act on their concerns revolving around industry regulations and the climate crisis," Rojas explained.
Based on what they've seen from the Biden-Harris picks, they feel progressives "should receive adequate representation" in their administration since they make up nearly half of the Democratic Party's seats in the House.
The question is... where will Democrats – and progressives in particular – go from here?
A Joe Biden administration dominated by corporate-friendly insiders will not help usher in the most progressive Democratic administration in generations.

Kamala Harris Urges Illegal Migrants to Help Elect Joe Biden
…no one told this lawless lawyer that it is illegal for illegals to vote even if they’re voting Democrat for more.
As in 2016, Democrats advance a corrupt ruling-class candidate. Like the dead man Gary Ernst, Democrats want people to vote for Joe Biden so they can swap him out for Kamala Harris, already a beneficiary of voter fraud and with the exception of Xavier Becerra possibly the worst attorney general in California history.
The large U.S. population of illegal immigrants helps to push down wages for Americans, push disadvantaged workers out of the labor force, reduce corporate investment in technology and training, and spike corporate sales and profits.
The Democrats dismiss any mention of the innumerable irregularities that tainted the general election as little more than crackpot conspiracy theories. This is a convenient way to avoid addressing serious questions raised by serious observers, but it will further undermine confidence in key institutions that form the foundation upon which the republic stands. Public trust in government, media, and even science was already declining before Election Day. This trend will dramatically accelerate if Americans don’t get answers to questions such as the following: Why would the voters deliver the Democrats a comprehensive down-ballot drubbing yet hand the White House to the worst presidential candidate in living memory?
The only bellwether county out of the 19 that Biden won is located in Washington state, which long ago went to all mail-in ballots and one-party rule. We are expected to believe that this is a coincidence.
The last time a Democrat “won” the presidency while his party sustained a double-digit loss in the House was in 1960, during an election tainted by probable vote fraud in Illinois and Texas. Still, we’re expected to believe that Joe Biden achieved the same feat in 2020 with no skulduggery? Moreover, as Juan Williams admits in the Hill, “President Trump set a record last week by attracting the highest percentage of the non-white vote of any Republican presidential candidate in the last 60 years.” Yet we are expected to believe that, despite the worst showing among minorities of any Democratic nominee since JFK, Biden surpassed Barack Obama’s record-breaking turnout by 10 million votes?
Biden’s “victory” seems even more implausible after an audit of his performance in remarkably predictive bellwethers. The Wall Street Journalreports that Biden had a nearly perfect record of losses in counties whose election results have presaged presidential winners for decades: “From 1980 through 2016, 19 of the nation’s more than 3,000 counties voted for the eventual president in every election. Only one … backed President-elect Joe Biden last week.” So, a candidate who campaigned from his basement lost 95 percent of these counties yet won the election? What of the fabled bellwether Ohio? Last month, the New York Times advised that if Trump didn’t win there it was over:
Four years ago, Mr. Trump built a particularly balanced coalition among Ohio’s white voters, winning across education levels. But his support in the state has waned over the past four years, particularly in the suburbs … Columbus’s growth, and the expansion of suburbs and exurbs into what used to be rural and blue-collar areas, might have once spelled an opportunity for Republicans. But under Mr. Trump the Republican Party has lost its footing among specifically these kinds of voters — and the growth in Franklin County plays into Mr. Biden’s hands.
Well, not so much. President Trump trounced Biden in Ohio, winning the state by 8.2 percent. Suddenly, AP demoted the state to a bit player in presidential politics:
As Ohio goes, so goes the nation. That’s the way it had been in presidential elections for more than half a century, until this year, when Republican Donald Trump won a decisive victory in the state while losing the presidency to Democrat Joe Biden. Biden becomes the first president elected without carrying Ohio since fellow Democrat John F. Kennedy in 1960. Trump’s statewide victory — his second, after carrying Ohio in 2016 — brings an end to Ohio’s role as a presidential bellwether and even puts its future as a battleground state in doubt.
What we are expected to believe here is that the bellwether counties discussed by the Wall Street Journal and the Buckeye State have been left behind by the rest of the nation in the long march toward the mandatory lockdowns and mask mandates that Biden wants to impose on the electorate. In reality, Trump won Ohio and the vast majority of these counties because absentee ballots were managed transparently according to long-standing and coherent guidelines in place long before the election. The only bellwether county out of the 19 that Biden won is located in Washington state, which long ago went to all mail-in ballots and one-party rule. We are expected to believe that this is a coincidence.
This brings us to ground zero for election fraud — Pennsylvania. The Commonwealth illegally changed its election rules before and during the voting process. Essentially, the Commonwealth Court and the Secretary of the Commonwealth ignored the General Assembly and the U.S. Constitution to rig the election on behalf of Joe Biden. The American Spectator’s Paul Kengor and Jeffrey Lord have covered this chicanery here, here, here, and here. We are expected to believe that such stories are conspiracy theories, despite videos showing Democrat election officials evicting Republican election observers from vote-counting locations and erecting physical barriers to prevent them from watching.
Finally, we come to the Smartmatic/Dominion software that was used to tabulate votes in the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. As this Fox interview with Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani reveals, this software was developed in Venezuela and banned from the U.S. a decade ago. It’s now been brought back into the country under the aegis of a subcontractor. Its major design feature is that it allows the vote counters to calculate how many votes they need to win. Jeffrey Lord has more here. The Democrats want you to believe this is a conspiracy theory. It isn’t. The Democrats knew they couldn’t beat Trump honestly, so they’re stealing the election.
In the end, to accept Joe Biden as our legitimate Chief Executive, we must believe the voters hammered the Democrats in congressional, state, and local elections, yet decided to elect the “leader” of their party president. We must believe that he dramatically underperformed among minority voters, yet received 10 million more votes than Barack Obama. We must believe that virtually all of the reliable election bellwethers were wrong. We must believe that all of the elections in the swing states were conducted honestly and that the Venezuelan software used to tabulate the votes was secure. All of this beggars belief. Joe Biden may be inaugurated in January, but he certainly wasn’t elected president.

the United States, declaring it a "human right". We will defend all

"Fox’s Tucker
Carlson noted Thursday that Obrador has previously proposed granting AMNESTY TO
MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS. “America is now Mexico’s social safety net, and that’s a
very good deal for the Mexican ruling class,” Carlson added."

U.S. Weekly Jobless Claims Jump to 742,000, Worse Than Expected
New weekly jobless claims jumped by 31,000 to 742,000 in the week ended November 14, the Department of Labor said Thursday.
Economists had expected jobless claims to inch up to 710,000 from the 709,000 initially reported a week ago. The previous week’s level was revised up by 2,000 to 711,000.
This is the first week of claims following the U.S. presidential election and may be viewed as a proxy for business reaction to the election.
Jobless claims—which are a proxy for layoffs—remain at extremely high levels. Prior to the pandemic, the highest level of claims was 695,000 hit in October of 1982. In March of 2009, at the depths of the financial crisis recession, jobless claims peaked at 665,000.
Claims hit a record 6.87 million for the week of March 27, more than ten times the previous record. Through spring and early summer, each subsequent week had seen claims decline. But in late July, the labor market appeared to stall and claims hovered around one million throughout August, a level so high it was never recorded before the pandemic struck. Claims moved down again in September and hade made slow, if steady, progress until the election.
New restrictions on businesses aimed at stemming the resurgence of coronavirus are likely contributing to the rise in layoffs. Some states and cities have imposed new curfews and discouraged people from leaving home for non-essential reasons.
Claims can be volatile so economists like to look at the four-week average for a better view of the health of the labor market. This declined 13,750 to 742,000.
Continuing claims—those made after the initial filing, representing ongoing unemployment—get reported with a week’s lag. For the week ended November 7, these came in at 6,372,000, a decrease of 429,000. The four-week moving average for continuing claims fell to 7,054,500, a decrease of 525,000 from the previous week’s revised average.
In addition to regular unemployment benefits, the federal government this year created two new programs to provide aid to those not usually eligible for state programs. During the week ending October 31, 8.7 million individuals claimed benefits under the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program, which provides aid to self-employed workers, business owners, and gig workers. Another 4.4 million individuals claimed benefits under the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation program, which extends unemployment for an additional 13-weeks after state benefits run out. That’s an indicator that more workers are staying unemployed for longer.
The highest insured unemployment rates in the week ending October 31 were in California (8.3), Hawaii (8.3), New Mexico (8.0), Nevada (7.6), Georgia (6.5), Pennsylvania (6.4), Alaska (6.2), Massachusetts (6.2), District of Columbia (6.0), and Illinois (5.7).
Mexican Ambassador: Let’s Restart Mass Migration into U.S.
The United States should reopen itself to migration, amnesties, refugee inflows, asylum seekers, and more temporary contract workers, Mexico’s ambassador to the United States said Tuesday.
The U.S. immigration system “has to be based on facts and realities,” Ambassador Martha Bárcena Coqui told a forum arranged by the National Immigration Forum (NIF). She continued: ‘The facts and realities is the need to protect the most vulnerable, the need to keep open the generosity towards refugees, the need to recognize the complementarity of labor markets and demographic profiles, the need for temporary workers in the United States.”
The United States should not view migration as a security threat, she said, adding, “If you conceptualize migration as a national security issue, if you [push for] securitization of migration, and what is even worse, if you criminalize migration, then your approach always be policing, contentious [and] reduction of migration. So what we need is really to conceptualize migration … as an economic and social and political phenomena.”
“With all due respect to Madam Ambassador, she should mind her own country’s business, not ours,” responded Mark Krikorian, the director of the Center for Immigration Studies.
“The Mexican ambassador is going to tell us what is in the best interest of Mexico,” responded Rosemary Jenks, policy director at NumbersUSA. “But that doesn’t mean we have to do it — we have to do what’s in the best interest of the United States. of American, of Americans and legal immigrants,” she told Breitbart News, adding:
You know we have the pandemic still raging, we have economic lockdowns still going on, we have unemployment way too high. We have underemployment way too high. We have American citizens hurting. We absolutely do not need to reopen mass immigration — and certainly don’t need to give amnesty and taxpayer benefits to people who came here illegally. If Mexico thinks its plan is to just open up its own southern borders in the hopes that America will open our southern borders, that’s just going to reignite the caravans. I hope that the Biden administration is planning for that because that’s not going to go well, and 2022 is not going to go well for Democrats.
More migrants are coming, the ambassador said, even though the coronavirus crash has blocked the northward flow for the moment:
The root causes of these migrations have [not] disappeared. On the contrary, we are seeing pent up, building pressure. People cannot move now because of the restrictions on movement because of the pandemic. But the root causes are still there, [for example], the drought in Central America … a hurricane in Nicaragua and Honduras that have totally flooded Honduras.
The United States should amnesty many illegal migrants from all over the world, she said, and also import more migrants by accepting asylum applications at U.S. embassies, so the world’s migrants will not have to travel through Mexico. “What we would like to see, of course, is that the U.S. embassies in Central America could process even more of these requests for asylum, instead of having people crossing through Mexico and asking for asylum at the border.”
The ambassador was invited to speak by the NIF, which is a business-funded activist group that promotes cheap labor migration into jobs needed by lower-skilled Americans and by legal immigrants, and also into jobs that can be automated.
Roughly three million migrants have flooded over the southern border since the rules were loosened by Congress in 2008 and by President Barack Obama’s deputies in 2011. Trump stopped the flow in 2020, but few of the migrants — or of roughly 300,000 younger “Unaccompanied Alien Children” — have been sent home because they are being protected by pro-migrant immigration lawyers, by pro-diversity progressives, and cheap labor employers in sanctuary cities.
The Mexican government must help poor migrants travel to the U.S. border, says Mexican immigrant and Univision anchor Jorge Ramos. https://t.co/kHHU9ckxPG
The large U.S. population of illegal immigrants helps to push down wages for Americans, push disadvantaged workers out of the labor force, reduce corporate investment in technology and training, and spike corporate sales and profits. The large population also shifts the U.S. politics from a focus on Americans’ jobs and wages, and then towards a politics focused on business demands and the 1950’s claim by elites that the United States is a diverse “nation of immigrants,” not a cooperative nation for all Americans.
The flood of cheap labor that is being promoted by the ambassador would be a disaster for Americans, Jenks said. “They would absolutely destroy the employment opportunities for lower-skilled Americans, particularly for minorities and legal immigrants. It would reduce wages among the people who can least afford reduced wages and put downward pressure on everyone else’s wages. The people who would benefit from it, of course, would be the elites who can hire nannies, maids, and housekeepers, and who go stay at resorts and so on, while the rest of us suffer.”
The ambassador’s statement, Krikorian told Breitbart News, “suggests that the [President Donald] Trump really was getting Mexico to change its behavior [after 2018] and that once Trump is gone, the Mexican approach these issues will revert to form, and they will again usher large numbers of third-country illegal aliens into our country.”
But if Mexico is concerned about the migrants coming up from the South, it can take its own defense measures, said Krikorian.
“As far as refugees and asylees go, Mexico is a signatory to the U.N. Convention on these issues. Mexico is about half the population, maybe a little less, of the United States. It doesn’t take a nearly proportionate number of asylum seekers or refugees [as the United States. So, “Physician, heal thyself,” would be my first response.”
Also, Krikorian added, the ambassador may be overstating the view of the Mexican government. “Whatever the ambassador said, it is an open question whether Mexico will truly open the floodgates again. The country has its own interest in limiting this transit migration because Mexican citizens are getting sick of the migrations. And many of these people end up staying anyway, applying for asylum in Mexico, or just hanging around illegally, and that undermines the job prospects of Mexicans in the same way that it can undermine Americans’ job prospects.”
“The United States is a sovereign nation that should and can have complete control over its borders,” said Jenks. “Regardless of what our neighbors may think, our government owes it to the American people to have an immigration system that benefits America. Period. Full stop.”
Overall, open-ended migration is praised by business and progressives partly because migrants help transfer massive wealth from American wage-earners to stockholders.
A Mexican governor doubled down on his push for immigrants from his state to vote for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden only hours after his federal government scolded him for interfering in another country’s election. https://t.co/pVFgbyZNot

DOJ Releases MS-13 Report
74 percent of gang defendants charged were unlawfully present in the
United States
On Wednesday,
the Department of Justice (DOJ) released "Full-Scale
Response: A Report on the Department of Justice's Efforts to Combat MS-13 from
2016-2020". It
is well worth the read, detailing the department's efforts to eradicate Mara
Salvatrucha-13 (MS-13), which was designated as a significant transnational
criminal organization (TCO) during the Obama administration in 2012, worldwide.
The most interesting — but not shocking — takeaway is that some 74 percent of
the MS-13 defendants prosecuted by DOJ during the past four years are in the
United States illegally.
MS-13 is not
a new topic on these pages, but it is, oddly enough, one that does not draw
much attention — even in communities in which the organization operates. For
example, on September 4, I wrote "Five
MS-13 'Affiliates' Held in Rural Baltimore County Killing of 16-Year-Old
Girl". The
victim, Gabriela Alejandra Gonzalez Ardon, was slaughtered in the woods beside
a walking trail near an upscale Maryland neighborhood.
It turns out
that three of those indicted in that case were unlawfully present in the United
States, having entered as minors, as my colleague Marguerite
Telford reported.
The five were easy for the police to apprehend, as they were already in custody
for assault and attempted murder on a 17-year-old male who had reportedly been
targeted by the gang for recruitment (he was abducted from the local public
library, no less). That assault allegedly occurred eight days after Ardon's
murder.
Worse, you
can watch the pusillanimous response of Baltimore
County Executive Johnny Olszewski when asked about the gang in September 2019. Why was
the county executive asked about the gang more than a year ago? Because a
few days before, ICE
identified six of the seven individuals involved in the stabbing death of a
21-year-old man in Towson as illegal aliens and MS-13 gang members. Note that
Towson is the county seat — that is, where Olszewski works,
and runs the government.
In any event,
back to the DOJ report. It explains:
MS-13 operates in the United States,
El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and other countries. Each year, MS-13
is responsible for violent crimes in the United States, including murders,
extortion, arms and drug trafficking, assaults, rapes, human trafficking,
robberies, and kidnappings. For decades, MS-13 has exploited weaknesses in U.S.
immigration enforcement policies to move its members in and out of the United
States and to recruit new members who have arrived in the United States
illegally.
Astoundingly,
that report estimates that there are 10,000 MS-13 members in this country, and
tens of thousands more abroad.
As I reported
in April
2017, then-Attorney
General Jeff Sessions thereafter announced "zero tolerance" for
criminal gangs, with a special emphasis on MS-13. Subsequently, in October
2018, Sessions
announced the formation of a Transnational Organized Crime (TOC) Task Force
made up of experienced federal prosecutors to coordinate the government's
efforts against the identified groups, including not just MS-13, but also
narcotraffickers like the Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG), the Sinaloa
Cartel, and the Gulf Cartel, as well as Lebanese Hezbollah.
As the DOJ
report explains, in August 2019, Attorney General William Barr created Joint
Task Force Vulcan ("JTFV"). JTFV was charged with coordinating and
leading the efforts of DOJ and other U.S. law enforcement agencies to eradicate
MS-13. DOJ explains that JTFV has increased coordination and collaboration
between law-enforcement in the United States and international law enforcement
partners, including El Salvador, Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.
This
international cooperation is crucial, because MS-13 is essentially a large
foreign criminal pyramid scheme with illicit franchisees, as the 2012
designation of the group as a TCO made clear:
Local MS-13 cliques take direction
from the group's foreign leadership for strategic decisions involving moves
into new territories and efforts to recruit new members. Money generated by
local MS-13 cliques in the U.S. is consolidated and funneled to the group's
leadership in El Salvador.
The money
that is funneled back to Central America funds the group's criminal activities
in the region (as I will discuss below), fueling violence that is a major push
factor driving migrants to enter the United States illegally.
As an
immigration judge, I heard dozens, if not hundreds, of asylum claims based on
MS-13 extortion, coercion, and recruitment efforts. Eradicating MS-13 in the
United States and abroad thus improves security in the countries from
which the
majority of migrants entering the United States illegally hail — reducing that push factor.
JTFV has also
"designated priority targeting of prosecutions against MS-13 cliques and
leaders who have the most impact on the U.S." and "coordinated
significant MS-13 indictments in United States Attorneys' Offices across the
country."
DOJ reports
that, since FY 2016, it has charged 749 MS-13 defendants, and obtained (to
date) at least 504 convictions. Some 37 of those defendants have been sentenced
to life. In addition, the department is seeking the death penalty in two MS-13
cases, one out of the Eastern District of New York, and one out of the Eastern
District of Virginia.
The
indictment in the New York case charges the defendant, Alexi Saenz, with seven
murders. Four of the victims were high school students, and six were killed
with a machete and/or baseball bat.
The
indictment in the Virginia case names one Elmer Zelaya Martinez, who is alleged
to be "a high-ranking member of the Park View Locos Salvatrucha
clique". Martinez is charged with coordinating the "stabbing and
hacking deaths" of a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old.
DOJ has gone
after MS-13 members on a laundry list of charges, ranging from RICO, murder,
robbery and extortion, kidnapping, and human trafficking to "Conspiracy to
Provide and Conceal Material Support to Terrorists" and "Conspiracy
to Commit Acts of Terrorism Transcending National Boundaries".
The latter
two charges (among others) have been lodged against Armando Eliu Melgar Diaz, a
twice-deported Salvadoran national currently living in that country. Since his
second deportation, according to DOJ, he has become the leader of the
"MS-13 East Coast Program", overseeing the activities of 20 of the
gang's cliques in this country (including in Virginia, Maryland, North
Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, California,
Ohio, Rhode Island, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and the District of Columbia), as well
as MS-13 undertakings in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.
DOJ notes:
"The money Melgar Diaz received from members in the United States was used
to support MS-13's violent activities in El Salvador, including by purchasing
weapons." Proving my point, above.
How has MS-13
managed to wreak such carnage? The report explains that MS-13 was able to
exploit "weak immigration enforcement policies" in this country for
decades, recruiting and using aliens here to carry out its criminal activities.
Specifically,
of the MS-13 related individuals charged by DOJ in the past five years, 74
percent were in the United States illegally, 3 percent are aliens legally
present in the United States, and 8 percent are U.S. citizens (the status of an
additional 15 percent are "unknown", for reasons that are unclear).
There are
three key points in that report: (1) MS-13 is an exceptionally brutal, but
well-organized, criminal organization operating both in the United States and
abroad. (2) DOJ and a slew of other federal agencies are focusing significant
resources on bringing MS-13 members, including key organizers and leaders, to
justice. (3) Lax enforcement of U.S. immigration law has allowed that gang to
flourish, to the detriment of not only communities across this country, but
also to the citizens of and civil society in countries across the region.
Sanctuary communities nationwide should pay heed to this
report. As should clueless local politicos and the media.
When Arizona, a state that has
historically leaned conservative, was won by Joe Biden and now-senator Mark
Kelly this week, very few were taken by surprise. Extensive polling indicated
Arizona was ripe for swinging liberal and in this instance, at least, the
polling was correct.
The state of
California is home to more illegal aliens than any other state in the country.
Approximately one in five illegal aliens lives in California, Pew reported.
Immigration Studies (CIS)
finds that about 72 percent of households headed by noncitizens and immigrants
use one or more forms of taxpayer-funded welfare programs in California — the
number one immigrant-receiving state in the U.S.

Kamala Harris Gave Plea Deal to Illegal Alien Months Before He Killed Drew Rosenberg
In the first week of November 2010, then-San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris won her statewide race to become California’s Attorney General. Two weeks later, Angel Dad Don Rosenberg lost his son Drew, 25-years-old, at the hands of an illegal alien.
On November 16, 2010, second-year law student Drew Rosenberg was killed in San Francisco by Roberto Galo, an illegal alien from Honduras who had been granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to stay in the United States.
Galo hit Drew, who was riding his bike, and ran him over twice before attempting to flee the scene of the crash. Galo stopped his car on Drew’s abdomen, prompting a group of bystanders to help lift the car off of him.
Photo of Drew Rosenberg, courtesy of the Rosenberg family.
A year before Drew’s death, then-San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom (D) implemented a policy that allowed unlicensed drivers about 20 minutes to find a licensed driver to drive their car so that it would not be impounded by the city.
The policy ensured illegal aliens, driving without licenses, could be pulled over, cited, and fined without having to deal with having their car impounded. As District Attorney, Harris seemed to follow the Newsom policy, Rosenberg said.
“It was a decision by the city of San Francisco that if you’re here illegally, you don’t have to follow the law,” Rosenberg told Breitbart News. “And as district attorney, it was Kamala’s job to say, ‘You can’t do that — you can’t tell people that they can drive without a license.'”
Months before Drew was killed, in June 2010, Galo was pulled over by San Francisco police officers for driving the wrong way down a one-way street. Galo was arrested and charged with driving without a license and driving without insurance.
Harris’s office offered Galo a plea deal that would allow him to escape the more serious charges of driving without a license and driving without insurance by pleading guilty to driving the wrong way. Rosenberg said Galo had taken a driver’s test on three occasions and failed each time.
In a 2013 post, detailing his son’s case in great length, Rosenberg wrote:
The inspector told us it was a slam dunk felony vehicular homicide. There were no skid marks from Galo’s car as he never attempted to stop. He also told us that Galo had been caught driving without a license, driving the wrong way on a one way street and driving without insurance in June 2010. The case would now be in the hands of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. [Emphasis added]

On July 27, 2010 Galo appeared in traffic court for his June 14 charges. The DA’s office had cut him a deal: Plead guilty to driving the wrong way on a one way street and the charges for driving without a license and driving without insurance would be dropped. At this point Galo had already been driving again for 45 days. Of coursehe took the deal. The DA’s office refuses to tell us if he ever paid the ticket for the wrong way violation.
Rosenberg said he eventually discovered — after a year of asking the district attorney’s office — that Galo paid the $220 ticket.
Through his own findings in the case, Rosenberg learned that Galo was able to almost immediately begin driving in San Francisco again after his car was impounded for the June 2010 arrest and charges.
The very next day, Galo apparently signed the car title over to Digna Guzman, who quickly got herself and Galo insured on the car. That same day, Guzman was able to get the car from impound and Galo began driving, Rosenberg said.
In a letter to Harris dated February 21, 2011, who was now attorney general, Rosenberg pressed her office about why Galo had been offered such a plea deal and was allowed to get his car from impound so quickly against state law.
Rosenberg wrote to Harris:
I am not writing you as the Attorney General. I am writing to you because you were the District Attorney of San Francisco when Roberto Galo was first arrested in June. You were the District Attorney when this tragedy occurred. You were the District Attorney when the preliminary hearing fiasco occurred. The staff of the District Attorney’s office was under your control and responsibility. And what I have recently learned is that when Roberto Galo was caught driving without a license, without insurance and driving the wrong way down a one way street, your DA’s Office offered and Galo accepted a plea on the lesser charge of driving the wrong way down a one way street . Your DA’s Office dropped the charge of driving without a license and without insurance charges. Why would your DA’s Office do that? Could there have been an easier conviction? My son is dead because the DA’s did not (and continues to believe) that driving without a license is a big deal. [Emphasis added]
…
Although no one will confirm, it certainly appears that the policy of the San Francisco District Attorney’s office is not to prosecute unlicensed drivers unless they are in a fatal collision. Since you were the District Attorney, I have to believe that this was your policy and your department implemented it. [Emphasis added]
Galo was convicted of voluntary manslaughter. He spent 43 days in jail for killing Drew.
The Rosenberg case is not the first time Harris has been involved in such a matter. As Breitbart News reported, Harris failed to prosecute illegal alien MS-13 Gang member Edwin Ramos in a traffic violation months before he went on to murder 48-year-old Tony Bologna and two of his sons — 20-year-old Michael and 16-year-old Matthew.
Angel Mom Danielle Bologna publicly pleaded with Harris to seek the death penalty against Ramos. Harris refused and instead sought a life sentence.
Similarly, Harris implemented a jobs program as San Francisco District Attorney. Harris’s “Back on Track” program allowed 18 to 30-year-olds to plead guilty to drug felonies so long as they agreed to spend a year in the program, living where they chose.
The program was open to illegal aliens like then-20-year-old Alexander Izaguirre, who had pled guilty to selling cocaine. Months after Izaguirre was put in Harris’s Back on Track program, he robbed then-29-year-old Amanda Kiefer before jumping into an SUV to run her over.
Kiefer suffered ear bleeding and a fractured skull as a result of the attack.
Not until a year after Kiefer’s assault did Harris acknowledge that her Back on Track program for convicts had provided jobs to illegal aliens. Once she learned of their inclusion, Harris allowed illegal aliens to finish their time in the program.
