THE CASE FOR KYLE RITTENHOUSE FROM KENOSHA UNDER SIEGE

Kyle Rittenhouse legally possessed a firearm last Tuesday in Wisconsin, said John Pierce, an attorney representing Kyle Rittenhouse, offering his remarks in an interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday with host Joel Pollak.

Rittenhouse was arrested last Wednesday and charged with murder in the shooting deaths of two people during the previous night’s riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Pollak asked how Rittenhouse obtained a firearm.

“Wisconsin is an open carry state,” replied Pierce. “You’ve seen the video of what was going on in that city. It was a war zone, and Kyle had every right — just as much a right — to be there as the people that were trying to burn down that city, and he was attempting to protect property and attempting to be there to provide medical aid.”

Pierce added, “Every person that has any sense at all is going to take a weapon to that location. It was a legal weapon. I can’t comment right now further on the specifics of where the weapon was obtained. It was obtained as a legal weapon. It did not cross state lines. That charge is incorrect as a matter of law in Wisconsin. Actually, that weapon can be possessed by anyone 16 years or older.”

LISTEN:

Pollak asked, “People are wondering why he would come to a violent scene. Was he looking to be a hero? Was he looking for confrontation? What was his motivation?”

“Kyle was not there looking for a fight,” Pierce remarked. “He is a great kid who serves as a community lifeguard in Kenosha. He was there to protect businesses that were being destroyed and burned to the ground. He was also there to provide medical aid to protesters and others who might be wounded. He actually took a first aid kit there to help wounded protesters, which he did repeatedly.”

Pierce continued, “Of course, Kenosha was burning, and he took a rifle so that he could protect himself if he needed to — and to protect property and to protect others. This is one hundred percent self-defense. It’s not even close. Kyle was actually attempting to put out a dumpster fire that the rioters had set.”

Pierce went on, “The rioters got enraged by that. Kyle actually attempted to retreat. He was chased down by attackers that were repeatedly stating that he should be killed. They came at him lightning-fast and attempted to begin striking him and wrestling with this rifle with an intent to kill. He had no choice but to fire his weapon and protect himself.”

Pollak asked, “Could he have helped these people with the medical kit without bringing a gun, and is that something he thought about doing?”

Pierce said Rittenhouse would have been killed had his client been unarmed.

Pollak inquired, “If that was the danger though, why did he go? If you can’t show up to a situation without a weapon, why go?”

Pierce held, “If we take that line of thinking, then the anarchists have won. He has every right to be in the community that he works in. We cannot turn over our cities to people who simply want to burn them to the ground.”

Pollak remarked, “If everybody showed up with guns, if everybody applied the same principle and decided they were going to enforce law and order. What would the result of that be for our society?”

Pierce determined, “If every law-abiding American showed up in the city that they loved with an AR-15, the chaos would stop immediately.”

Pollak asked if Rittenhouse belonged to any militia.

Pierce responded, “I am not aware of any such facts. … This is something that a lot of people are not aware of, but this is actually the law under Title 10 Section 246 of the United States Code, actually, every able-bodied male in the United States between ages 17 and 45 is actually part of the United States militia, and that is provided for under the Constitution and Congress has enacted that statute.”

Pierce addressed a possible plea deal: “We’re going to trial. We’re going to win this case. If I’m the prosecutor, I drop these charges immediately. I think that this is a rush of judgment, and if I was the prosecutor, I would be terrified to take this case to trial. I do not believe that there’s a jury in this country that’s going to look at these facts and is going to find him guilty for murder.”

“It’s absolute 100 percent self-defense, and we’re going to prove it if we have to,” concluded Pierce. “It was legal for him to possess that weapon in Wisconsin.”

Last week, 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse allegedly shot three men – two of which have died – during a riot in Kenosha. The teen is being charged as an adult and faces two counts of first-degree homicide, one count of attempted homicide, recklessly endangering the safety of two other victims and possessing a weapon while under the age of 18.

According to Pierce Bainbridge, the law firm representing Rittenhouse, his attorney was justified in using deadly force because Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) and Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian failed to protect the residents in the city. Although Rittenhouse lives 30 minutes away in Antioch, Illinois, he works in Kenosha as a community lifeguard.

Bainbridge stated Rittenhouse decided to help a business owner defend his property from rioters who were threatening it.

"The business owner needed help to protect what he had left of his life’s work, including two nearby mechanic’s shops. Kyle and a friend armed themselves with rifles due to the deadly violence gripping Kenosha and many other American cities, and headed to the business premises," the statement said. "The weapons were in Wisconsin and never crossed state lines."

According to the attorney, police started to clear out the area following the city's 8 p.m. curfew. As the crowd dispersed, many moved towards the shops Rittenhouse was allegedly guarding, where they teased and taunted those protecting the businesses.

"His intent was not to incite violence, but simply to deter property damage and use his training to provide first aid to injured community members," the statement said. "After the crowd passed the premises and Kyle believed the threat of further destruction had passed, he became increasingly concerned with the injured protestors and bystanders congregating at a nearby gas station with no immediate access to medical assistance or help from law enforcement. Kyle headed in that direction with a first aid kit. He sought out injured persons, rendered aid, and tried to guide people to others who could assist to the extent he could do so amid the chaos."

Police allegedly blocked Rittenhouse's path back to the original shop. He received word that the owner's second shop down the street was the new target.

"As Kyle proceeded towards the second mechanic’s shop, he was accosted by multiple rioters who recognized that he had been attempting to protect a business the mob wanted to destroy. This outraged the rioters and created a mob now determined to hurt Kyle. They began chasing him down. Kyle attempted to get away, but he could not do so quickly enough. Upon the sound of a gunshot behind him, Kyle turned and was immediately faced with an attacker lunging towards him and reaching for his rifle. He reacted instantaneously and justifiably with his weapon to protect himself, firing and striking the attacker," the statement explained. "Kyle stopped to ensure care for the wounded attacker but faced a growing mob gesturing towards him. He realized he needed to flee for his safety and his survival. Another attacker struck Kyle from behind as he fled down the street. Kyle turned as the mob pressed in on him and he fell to the ground. One attacker kicked Kyle on the ground while he was on the ground. Yet another bashed him over the head with a skateboard. Several rioters tried to disarm Kyle. In fear for his life and concerned the crowd would either continue to shoot at him or even use his own weapon against him, Kyle had no choice but to fire multiple rounds towards his immediate attackers, striking two, including one armed attacker. The rest of the mob began to disperse upon hearing the additional gunshots."

Following the shooting, Rittenhouse allegedly tried going directly to officers who ushered him away. Later that night, he turned himself in to Antioch police.

The attorneys representing Rittenhouse believe he was exercising his Second Amendment rights.

"A 17-year old child should not have to take up arms in America to protect life and property. That is the job of state and local governments. However, those governments have failed, and law-abiding citizens have no choice but to protect their own communities as their forefathers did at Lexington and Concord in 1775," the law firm's founder, John Pierce, said in a statement. "Kyle is not a racist or a white supremacist. He is a brave, patriotic, compassionate law-abiding American who loves his country and his community. He did nothing wrong. He defended himself, which is a fundamental right of all Americans given by God and protected by law."

Twitter Locks Ann Coulter’s Account over Kyle Rittenhouse Praise

Twitter locked the account of bestselling conservative author Ann Coulter over a tweet praising Kyle Rittenhouse, despite the fact that the platform initially informed her that her tweet did not violate the rules.

Coulter says the platform also deleted the tweet on her behalf, not giving her a chance to appeal the decision.

“I want him as my president,” Coulter said of Rittenhouse, the 17-year old who allegedly shot three rioters in Kenosha who attacked him, killing two and injuring one.

Videos of the incident show one of the rioters aiming a pistol at Rittenhouse before being shot.

“I decided to appeal it. I’m on vacation until after Labor Day anyway. But by appealing, that means I CAN’T TWEET until they decide my appeal. So I’m guilty until they rule,” said Coulter in a comment to Breitbart News.

“This 1) makes no sense inasmuch as they’ve already removed that tweet, so why not let me tweet in the meantime?; and 2) is clearly total bs. Inasmuch as ANOTHER twitter administrator expressly ruled that the precise tweet that got me suspended violated no twitter policies.”

“SEE YOU ON INSTAGRAM!” concluded Coulter.

A screenshot provided to Breitbart by Coulter shows that her tweets were initially found to not violate Twitter’s policies.

“We have investigated the reported content and could not identify any violations of the Twitter Rules,” says the message.

The reference to “German law” refers to Germany’s practice of forcing Twitter to comply with its hate speech law, with potential penalties of 50 million euros if the platform fails to comply.

In a statement to Breitbart News, Twitter confirmed that it had taken action on the tweet “I want him to be my president.”

“The Tweet glorified violence, specifically condoning an act of violence that may be replicable by a civilian,” said a Twitter spokesman. “It will need to be removed by the account owner before they continue back to Twitter.”

MONTAUK BREWING COMPANY IN THE HAMPTONS LOVES BLACK LIVES MATTER AND MURDER.... WHEN THEY'RE NOT LOOTING AND RAPING!

Montauk Brewing Company Faces Boycott over Black Lives Matter Support

A craft brewery in the Hamptons is drawing outrage from the community for declaring its support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Weeks after the Montauk Brewing Company publicly posted their backing of the group on a chalkboard outside their tasting room, and pledged to donate some of their profits to civil rights groups, the beer company has become ensnarled in an online boycott.

Robert Frank, a Suffolk County police officer, and his real estate wife, Valeria, created the private Facebook group “Defund Montauk Brewing Company” on August 12.

Even though the group is private, it boasts a massive 30,000 Facebook followers as of Sunday.

The group’s purpose is “to bring awareness to the recent events that Montauk Brewing Company has decided to take…by supporting an extremist organization,” according to its Facebook page.

The New York Post reported that some of the questions the group asks social media users before they are invited to join the group include, “Do you support extremist radical organizations?” and “Do you believe ALL LIVES MATTER?”

Many people also took their grievances to Yelp, where there were so many negative reviews about the craft brewery, Yelp had to put a disclaimer at the top of the page saying that it would be “monitoring” the page for content related to media posts.

The Black Lives Matter support message was initially written on June 2, a week after the May 25 death of George Floyd at the hands of the Minnesota Police.

“The founders and team at Montauk Brewing Company support the movement with all our hearts. Black lives matter,” co-owner Vaughan Cutillo wrote.

As the boycott strengthened in numbers, the company’s owners issued a lengthy letter via Instagram on August 15 doubling down on their support for Black Lives Matter, noting that they made contributions to other nonprofits including the NAACP and the Wounded Warrior Project.

They even said they “consistently donate” to police precincts and firefighters as well.

The brewery posted another chalkboard message saying, “We support people doing good things.”

The craft brewer was started in 2012 by three friends who went to East Hampton High School together, and it has grown to become the second-largest brewery on Long Island.

A spokesperson for the brewery did not comment on whether the boycott hurt business.

Brandon Straka Recounts Anti-Gay Attack by BLM After RNC: ‘No Consequence for This Type of Behavior’

An apparent homophobic attack near the White House after the RNC on Thursday night by Black Lives Matters supporters was reminiscent of anti-gay attacks of the past. Except now, the attackers are doing it posing as victims, New York City hairstylist and #WalkAway campaign founder Brandon Straka told Breitbart News.

Straka was invited to attend President Trump’s acceptance speech on the White House lawn Thursday. As the 1,000+ supporters streamed out of the complex, Straka said he and others he was with were targeted by several hecklers wearing Black Lives Matter shirts.

He was attempting to make his way to his hotel, about three blocks away, with two others. Straka alleged four agitators saw he was dressed up and “made the assumption that we were with the RNC.”

Video posted by Straka on Twitter showed the apparent incident:

“She said, ‘Y’all are really f*cked up,’ and, ‘You’re a bunch of faggots,” Straka told Breitbart News.

Straka said one of his companions asked what she allegedly said, “And she heard it a was a male voice and comes charging at me like she was going to beat the shit out of me and I said, ‘I’m not even the one who said it.'”

He said she was quickly in Mikey Harlow’s face “like she was going to kick the shit out of him, calling him names and stuff” and then the others in the attacker’s group headed in that direction, as the video apparently shows.

The video showed one of the women rushing Harlow, accusing him of calling one of her comrades a “dyke bitch,” which he denied.

The agitator then allegedly threw her drink on Straka and the cup at him. He said they were called “faggots” at least three times.

Straka said the woman came back and aggressively went after him, before swatting the phone out of another friend’s hand.

“The whole time it was happening, it felt like a flashback because this sort of anti-gay street attack, this has happened to me dozens of times in my life, but it hasn’t happened in about 10 years,” he said.

“But back then, the anti-gay attackers didn’t think they were the victims,” Straka told Breitbart News, “Or they were justified in doing it because they were the victims, even though they were the ones committing the violence.”

He said he didn’t know if they had weapons, but that he and his companions “just have to sit here and endure this anti-gay attack because the media, no matter what happens, will spin this as we attacked Black Lives Matter or black women.”

Straka noted the story is very similar to the Jussie Smollett hoax, except his alleged attack was caught on camera.

“Let’s see if the media has any interest in it whatsoever,” he said.

Straka said the police were apparently “watching” the whole thing happen and did not intervene. When asked if he was going to contact the police, and he said no.

“There seems to be no consequence or repercussions for this type of behavior and what they’re doing,” he said.

“The experience on Thursday became an anti-gay attack and this group, which claims to be about progressivism and tolerance and unity and all this stuff, now feels they have carte blanche to attack gay men and that they also get to be the victims while they do it,” Straka said.

VIDEO: Woman on NYC Subway Platform Knocked Down in Alleged Rape Attempt

A suspect knocked a woman to the ground on a New York City subway platform in an alleged rape attempt in broad daylight on Saturday.

The woman was waiting for the Q train on the platform on Saturday around 11 a.m. inside the Lexington Avenue and East 63rd Street station when the suspect approached her, the New York Post reported.

video released by the New York Police Department (NYPD) showed that the man then knocked the woman to the ground, climbed on top of her, and allegedly tried to rape her.

Other passengers in the area began forming a crowd and eventually intervened in the scuffle.

“Get off her,” members the group yelled at the attacker, according to police.

Police said the woman suffered minor injuries, but refused medical attention at the scene.

The incident was reported to the 19th Precinct of the NYPD and the NYPD Transit Bureau, amNY reported.

The NYPD released the video footage of the suspect Sunday. The suspect is described as a man with a black afro and facial hair with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing sunglasses, brown shoes, dark cargo pants, and a black long-sleeved shirt.

The suspect remains at large.

Fleet of Moving Trucks Seen in Manhattan’s Upper West Side: ‘Mass Evacuation in Full Effect’

A string of moving trucks was spotted in Manhattan’s Upper West Side on Saturday, according to Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa.

“The mass evacuation of Upper West Siders from NYC is in full effect,” he told the New York Post.

Sliwa blamed the city’s decision to house hundreds of homeless people in the neighborhood’s hotels for the exodus.

“The moment I walked out on my block, near Central Park West, there was a moving truck. I asked where you going, and they said, ‘Virginia.’ They told me, ‘Curtis, first the pandemic hit us and now the quality of life is so bad,'” he recalled.

Sliwa spoke to others moving to places such as New Hampshire and Tennessee, and one young family told him they were headed to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

“They said in the last month, there have been so many disturbed people in the streets, aggressively panhandling, defecating, urinating — they leave the hotels and have no bathrooms to use,” he explained.

Following complaints from residents, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) promised August 17 to start removing homeless people from the city’s hotels and get them back into shelter facilities.

However, he did not give a timeline as to when that process would begin, according to Breitbart News.

Safety was more a motivating factor for people leaving U.S. cities than the coronavirus pandemic, global investor Barry Sternlicht said Tuesday during an interview on CNBC’s Squawk Box.

“There’s hundreds of thousands of people looking for suburban homes, and I would say it’s not as driven by the Covid situation as it is safety and law and order, and that is now pervasive across the big cities of the United States, sadly,” he stated.

Six people were shot and two killed Tuesday into Wednesday across New York City, Breitbart News reported.

“The fatal and non-fatal shootings Tuesday-Wednesday follow a Monday on which seven shootings left 11 victims. And they follow a weekend which witnessed over 40 shot, five fatally, in de Blasio’s NYC,” the report said.

Sliwa explained Saturday that the people who lived in the area were those who elected de Blasio as mayor.

“It’s a progressive, liberal neighborhood. And now there’s a visceral hate here for him — the feeling that he has virtually singlehandedly destroyed this city,” he concluded.

NYC Police Union President: ‘You Won’t Be Safe in Joe Biden’s America’

Pat Lynch, president of the New York City Police Benevolent Association, the largest municipal police union in the world, warned voters that the Democrats would leave vulnerable people at the mercy of violent criminals if elected.

Speaking at the RNC, Lynch slammed Democrats for surrendering to the far left’s war on cops, highlighting actions taken by local Democrat politicians to undermine law enforcement. In city after city, they have slashed police budgets.

“They have hijacked and dismantled the criminal justice system. They have passed laws that made it impossible for police officers to do our job.”

“The violence and chaos we’re seeing now isn’t a side effect. It’s actually the goal,” Lynch said, adding “the radical left doesn’t really want better policing. They don’t really care about making the justice system fairer. What they want is no policing. What they want is a justice system that stops working altogether.”

Lynch said that the goal of the far left’s campaign against the police isn’t about genuine reform, but sending a message that “police officers are the enemy,” that “criminals have the right to resist arrest,” and that “if you victimize a vulnerable person, the justice system will not hold you accountable.”

“The criminals have heard that message, and they are taking full advantage,” said Lynch. “We must stop that message. We must expose the left’s lies about police officers and the job we do.”

“We look at the victims, the vulnerable, the regular working people who count on us. We know we can’t let them down.”

“And we hear the words of our President, who says to cops everywhere “I will never let you down.” We’ve been fortunate to have his powerful voice defending police officers. We know that we absolutely cannot afford to lose it.”

“You won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America,” concluded Lynch. “You can have four more years of President Trump.
Or you can have no safety, no justice, no peace.”

Looters took to the streets of Minneapolis late Wednesday following the suicide of a homicide suspect, looting several stores including Saks 5th Avenue and a liquor store, as several videos show.

“More looting in downtown Minneapolis. They’ve now breached the Saks 5th Avenue store on 6th and Nicollet and people are making out with lots of goods,” FOX 9 reporter Courtney Godfrey reported late Wednesday night:

“Burn this shit down!” one man screamed as another entered a store through the broken glass:

Another video shows looters knocking over displays in what appears to be Target:

According to FOX 9’s Godfrey, authorities broke up the looting at the Saks 5th Avenue store using pepper spray. Notably, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) recently called to ban officers from using non-lethal munitions, including pepper spray, on protesters:

Lawlessness broke out in the city on Wednesday after a homicide suspect committed suicide. While the Minneapolis Police Department initially released a graphic video of the suicide, showing no officer fire involved in the suspect’s death, some of those who took to the streets reportedly believed that officers fatally shot the man.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) announced late Wednesday that state patrol was en route to Minneapolis to help “restore order” in the city. He also activated the National Guard:

The NYT claims that racism, not Democrat policies, are why poorer neighborhoods are hotter

The New York Times has gone off the deep end again.

This article claims that racist urban planning is why some neighborhoods are hotter than others.

How racist urban planning left some neighborhoods to swelter

The story started with a simple question: Why are some neighborhoods so much hotter than others? In cities like Baltimore, Portland and New York, neighborhoods that are lower-income and have more Black or Hispanic residents can be up to 20 degrees Fahrenheit hotter in summer, with far fewer trees and more heat-absorbing pavement than whiter, wealthier parts of the same city.

Yet its chart shows absolutely that it is fewer trees and more cement or blacktop that causes warming, not CO2, fossil fuels or oil use.

Racism is pretty far-fetched.

It is also common sense that cement is hotter than grass or pastures or forests. One of the main reasons that the data show a minor rise in temperatures over the last 150 years, after a little ice age ended around 1850, is that many temperature gathering stations were moved from rural grassy areas to areas with cement, buildings and asphalt. What a surprise!

It is truly a shame that Democrat-run cities like Baltimore, Portland, New York and others do so much to keep minorities poor and dependent on government instead of giving them the opportunity to move up the economic ladder like Trump does.

And while they're running these cities, why can't they cough up for a few neighborhood trees?

The Democrat anti-poverty, welfare programs of the last fifty years have encouraged the breakup of families lead more people to live in poverty. That causes them to live in more crowded homes in hotter neighborhoods. The crowded homes and poverty lead to worse health outcomes and leaves them more vulnerable to diseases like COVID 19. Why do so many minorities have worse outcomes from the virus because their health leaves them more vulnerable. Could it be that it is because so many of them have been dependent on government run healthcare for decades? Why would we want this for everyone? Competition yields better results not a government monopoly.

The disease, nor climate change are racist. The policies that keep minorities dependent on government are. There is not systemic racism but there are a heck of a lot of people who want minorities to be dependent on government and that is most of the media, entertainers and other Democrats.

Why do almost all journalists repeat that the science is settled on oil and CO2 causing climate change and hotter temperatures when there is no scientific data that shows a direct correlation between temperatures and oil use?

Why aren’t Joe Biden, PresidentObama, Kamala Harris, Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Bill Gates asked for scientific data to support their agenda? The answer is that there is none and that is why the debate is cut off and those of us who tell the truth that the climate has always changed cyclically and naturally are called stupid, anti-science and climate change deniers. Instead of debating us, they call us names. We are also called racists because they don’t want to debate their radical leftists policies.

The answer is they want government control of all aspects of our lives, No one with any common sense or a brain should believe that politicians and bureaucrats can control temperatures, sea levels and storm activity forever if we just hand them trillions of hard-earned dollars and destroy the economy.

The same people who say they can control temperatures, sea levels and storm activity forever are the ones who continually lied that we could keep our health care plan, our doctor and our premiums and costs would drop substantially. Why would anyone trust them?

My guess is the New York Times journalists who wrote this article have no idea that they exposed the lie that CO2 and oil cause temperatures to rise but I thank them for writing it to give us stupid, anti-science people more ammunition before we intentionally destroy the U.S. economy.

The Collapse of the Democrat Brand

"He spoke in generalities that everyone found agreeable at first and meaningless upon reflection."  That is one summary of Democrat icon Franklin Delano Roosevelt's speaking style.

Last week's Democratic National Convention shows how little Democrats have changed — a beautiful outer shell with nothing inside.  Professions of equality, justice, compassion, and empathy are precisely the types of slogans many of us find initially agreeable but too vague and empty to warrant additional thought.  The only difference is that today's Democrats bring a parade of celebrities to play the part of aesthetically pleasing decorations on the outer walls of their empty shell.

Democrats have built their brand on proclamations of benevolence.  They've successfully branded themselves to many Americans as the party who cares about others, the tolerant people, the non-racist party, and the party for good-hearted people who want us all to get along.  This brand image was mostly built on the backs of tie-dye-shirted, pacifist 1960s hippies.  Educators romanticized the sit-ins and protests for decades, which calcified the left as the brand of non-violence.  After all, the pacifist hippie is a much better brand spokesman than the Black Panthers or the Weather Underground, who routinely committed terrorist attacks in the 1960s.

To be fair to Democrats, they have no choice but to be disingenuous.  They are beholden to a brand image that doesn't accurately depict who they are.  For decades, the left's monopoly on mass communication systems concealed its true character.  Today, ubiquitous camera phones and social media have made leftists' hate and violence impossible to hide.  Their only option is pretending to align with the existing Democrat brand and hoping we forget the last ten years.

Democrats approve of burning cities, mass riots, and hundreds of beatings for those willing to wear Trump-branded clothing.  Surveys show that nearly half of leftists won't even be friends with Trump-supporters.  There are also countless examples of Trump-supporters blacklisted for incorrect political viewpoints.  None of this is congruent with a kind, tolerant, peaceful brand.  Perhaps the pinnacle of the left's false brand image happened at a Minnesota high school when students violently beat another student for carrying a Trump flag during a protest — against gun violence.

It's hard for someone to be likable when any level of disagreement is anathema to him.  The same applies to the Democrat brand.  Hollywood has resorted to rewriting existing superheroes to be more woke because it can't create woke heroes.  That's because there is nothing admirable about wokeness.  Children don't aspire to be perpetual complainers who thrive on destroying people for typos.  There is nothing likable about paranoid malcontents, who see racism and Russian assets everywhere they look.  Nobody wants to be a leftist because it sounds miserable, and multiple polls prove that Democrats are less happy than Republicans.  Democrats can create superheroes — just not in their own image, because there is nothing honorable or likeable about the left.  Its brand is dead.

The Democrats' brand has collapsed beyond repair and they know it.  The current strategy to prevent the flock from fleeing the pasture is not preserving their brand, but branding the alternative option as so deplorable that it's beneath consideration.  The only way to cover up the noxious fumes of leftism is to double down on the negative branding of Republicans as a party of hate.

"Love Trumps Hate," "Make America Hate Again," "Hate Has No Home Here" — these are merely a few of the slogans attempting to link hate to the conservative brand.  Hate speech, hate crimes, hate groups — everything is "hate."

The dominance of the Democrat brand throughout mass media, education, and American culture successfully branded the left as the default way to vote — especially for young people.  But Democrat branding efforts are most effective when they're the only show in town.  For years, the left has bullied Republicans to preserve its brand monopoly.

If conservatives are scared to share their political beliefs, it makes those flamboyant about their left-wing politics seem like the morally superior choice.  If Republicans were morally superior, why would they hide their views?  Threatsintimidation, and doxxing are the primary reasons for the silence, and this bullying has prevented Republicans from taking pride in their brand.

The real cause for the vitriol toward Trump-supporters is that this new Republican pride is symbolic of the left's brand decline.  With every MAGA hat is the realization of the left's intimidation and propaganda not working as effectively as they once did.  The rage that follows is a panicked leftist struggling to understand why the left's efforts aren't working.  Leftists have inundated Americans with leftism at every turn but can't understand why some people still don't convert.  Every sighting of a MAGA hat is a reminder that the Democrats' brand is fading fast.

The only solution is to take the conservative brand down to their level and regain the advantage of the default vote.  Their desperation is obvious when they compare Donald Trump to Democrat segregationists like George Wallace, often incorrectly labeling Wallace as a Republican to strengthen the lie.  It no longer matters if lies, censorship, and cancel culture further damage the Democrat brand  — their brand has already collapsed.  Efforts must focus solely on damaging the conservative brand.  Besides, if they win one more election, they won't need to rely on branding anymore.

A Democrat sweep in November will provide amnesty to 20+ million illegal aliens, plus another five to ten million immigrants imported over the next four years through our new open borders policy.  These new American citizens will be bribed with our tax dollars to vote away our rights.  A Somalian immigrant isn't going to turn down a monthly paycheck to preserve your Second Amendment rights.  Antifa will help draft public policy; they'll abolish the Electoral College and pack the SCOTUS with leftists.  That's not hyperbole, either — they are open about all of this.  Under such circumstances, it will be difficult for Republicans to win an election anytime soon.

They know how close they are to reaching their goals — which is why the Democrats no longer even try to defend their brand.  Democrats have sacrificed their brand to win in 2020 without any contingency plan.  Their lust for power has blinded them to the consequences of destroying their brand in a losing effort.

When Trump wins in November, the death of their brand will finally sink in.

Portland Mayor: No I Don't Have a Plan to Stop the Riots, It'll "Burn Itself Out"

That's the sort of thing that has to be really comforting to hear if...

1. You're a Portland resident

2. A Portland homeowner

3. A Portland business owner

You know all that violence that's wrecking the city. We don't have a plan to stop it. But eventually it'll burn itself out.

Portland mayor Ted Wheeler (D.)—who has yet to provide his police department with consistent directives to quell the riots, arson, and looting that have plagued his city for months—told Oregon Public Radio his strategy was to let the violence "burn itself out."

Ah the, "This is Fine" strategy.

This is your public safety. And this is your public safety on police defunding where violent criminality is just expected to eventually burn itself out.

Mayor Wheeler's thesis is that eventually the Black Lives Matter rioters, looters, and assorted criminals tagging along in their wake will just get bored and go home.

And no, don't count on the police protecting you.

But if people aren't paying taxes for public safety, what are they paying them for? Oh right. Social justice initiatives.
