And many of those who do retire face the risk of falling into poverty in old age as they run out of funds and Social Security benefits fail to provide an adequate safety net for everyone. On top of that, given that the price of pretty much everything we buy and consume on a daily basis continues to reach one record high after the other, and the fact that 61% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, it’s never been harder for U.S. workers to start saving for retirement. In other words, today’s cost of living crisis will be tomorrow’s retirement crisis, and all of us are going to be dramatically affected by it.
For years, we have been warned that our country was marching toward a retirement crisis of epic proportions. But still, nothing has been done to effectively prevent things from getting worse, and conditions have become increasingly more difficult for U.S. workers to have the chance to put a percentage of their incomes aside for the future. The truth is that our retirement system is broken, and at this point, everyone agrees that it is heading for a major disaster.
Data released by the National Institute on Retirement Security reveals that over the past 35 years, 401(k) participants are not contributing regularly, asking for withdrawals, and not repaying their loans. On top of that, “we have a lot of individuals who have nothing saved for retirement, about 40 percent of the workforce,” said Diane Oakley, the executive director of the NIRS, adding that when her organization used census data to assess whether households were saving enough to retire with eight times their projected income, a very conservative estimate of retirement preparedness, “we found that 60 percent of households weren’t on track.”
Adding to this dire picture is the fact that for the first time since 1973, unemployment among workers over the age of 55 has remained higher than that of mid-career professionals for more than six months. Around 30% of workers now plan to postpone retirement and work longer. Others, facing poor working conditions, may instead choose to retire sooner and with less saved. For many, entering retirement early will mean balancing the rising costs of healthcare — estimated at nearly $300,000 for an average 65-year-old couple — with food, housing, and expenses related to long-term care.
Bills never seem to stop piling up, even as we get older. Simply put, many older workers who urgently need to contribute additional savings for retirement may never be able to do so. The consequences of this worsening crisis are going to be severe for both American families and the national economy, as a large share of households are forced to significantly reduce consumption in retirement and will have to rely heavily on their families, charities, and the government for help to make ends meet. Instead of having control of their economic lives, millions of Americans will have to muddle through their final years dependent on others for financial support and seeing their standard of living collapsing right before their eyes while the American dream slowly dies.

Trillions at Risk, Including Your Life Savings as Congress Sets Sights on 401(k)s
If you're fortunate enough to lead a reasonably normal American life, things go something like this: you go through school and graduate from either high school or college, somewhere in the middle of the class. You get a job, move out on your own, and meet your eventual spouse. You marry, have a family, and work at a series of jobs to support yourself and others. With any luck, you like (or at least tolerate) your chosen profession and derive a reasonable degree of satisfaction from having done pretty well. Then, at some point in your 60s, you retire, with the expectation that your so-called golden years will be a 15- or 20-year span characterized by decent health; minimal financial pressures and obligations; and a general enjoyment of a more relaxed, leisurely pace. Maybe there will be a few long-delayed material indulgences thrown in. What the heck — you've earned those, right? This is all the retirement that any of us really wants.
This describes me fairly well. After having spent my working career in the consumer electronics and musical instrument industries in marketing, product development, and engineering management, I retired two years ago. (By the way — if you need someone to design some killer new speakers for your stereo rig or play smokin' jazz drums at your daughter's wedding, I'm your guy.) I was really looking forward to relaxing and enjoying my retirement, but the Democrats have ruined those plans. I only get one retirement — just this one — and the Democrats have wrecked it.
Since I retired in 2020, this is what has happened, all courtesy of the Democrats:
COVID
Whether it was a legitimate mistake from sloppy lab practices in Wuhan or a deliberate plot by Communist China to upset the Western world or something else altogether, it descended upon the world like a ton of bricks dropped from the back of a huge construction dump truck. Worldwide panic ensued. The Democrats, utterly horrified that everything — everything — was going so well under President Trump that he'd easily win re-election that year, took advantage of the COVID scare to rewrite the presidential election voting procedures and execute their elaborately designed fraud plans. Drop boxes, mail-in/absentee ballots that weren't cross-checked for proper signature ID, Democrat state legislatures illegally changing the voting deadlines to make post-election vote manipulation that much easier, etc. — all manner of voting fraud was committed under the guise of "COVID" and "public safety." That ruse, the most blatant, damaging election gambit in American history, gave us this blitheringly incompetent, ideologically driven Biden administration.
Inflation
Biden printed billions of dollars to spread around and bribe voters, calling it "COVID relief," and paid people to stay home and not work. Now, under Biden, we have 8–9% inflation and a labor participation rate that is the lowest it's been since the 1970s. Prices are out of sight. The supply chain has collapsed, and shortages of household staples have become so commonplace that it's just an accepted way of life in 2022. The administration puts forth an abomination deceitfully labeled the "Inflation Reduction Act," knowing there is not one single thing in that bill that is intended to reduce inflation. Now the Fed is raising interest rates to try to calm inflation. In order for that to work, it has to crush consumer demand so suppliers will reduce their pricing in order to entice a weak and shrinking pool of customers to buy something. Nice going, Joe. My favorite salad dressing is hardly available these days because of supply shortages, and when I can find it, it's nearly double in price.
Shut Down Oil/Gas Industry
On Day One, Biden cut the legs out from under American energy independence. Oil, gasoline, and natural gas prices skyrocketed. Why did the administration do this? Because they think it's cool and woke to be Green. The Squad likes Green, and the administration wants to be "in" with that ilk and with the extreme voters who support that. Green energy and renewables can't come close to supporting our energy needs and won't for the foreseeable future. Remember, Biden, Pelosi, Kerry, Obama, Gore, etc., etc. — none of them lives by Green rules. But they expect you to. All I know is, now that I'm a retiree, gasoline has gone from $2.11/gallon to $3.76/gallon. And it'll be back over $4.00/gallon shortly, as soon as Biden's game-playing with the Strategic Petroleum Reserve runs out of tricks. And we just got a letter from our electric company — in November, the rate per/kWh will double. Double, just like that, for no reason. Bad enough as a retiree. Good thing I don't own a small business operating on a tight margin, like a restaurant or bakery or hair salon.
Unstable Foreign Policy
Biden is a weak, befuddled old man, clearly not in any semblance of control of his rapidly diminishing faculties. You can practically hear our overseas adversaries licking their chops as they run roughshod over the remaining elements of proper international behavior and decorum, totally confident that the frighteningly senile Biden will not do anything to oppose them. Would Putin have invaded Ukraine and be threatening the world with nuclear war were President Trump still in office? Would Communist China be saber-rattling over Taiwan? Would North Korea have resumed test-firing ballistic missiles? Would Iran be shamelessly flaunting its nuclear progress? Of course not.
All of the above has so rattled the investment markets (the Democrats can't fool the markets with their bogus smoke and mirrors) that the major indices have lost trillions (with a "T") of dollars in value. Retirement accounts are in a shambles. Two short years ago, things looked great. Now there's a financial/investment canyon that will likely take ten years to recover from. People in their mid- to late 50s will have to work much longer than they planned. New retirees feel as if the rug has been pulled out from beneath them.
I'm just like millions of other Americans: I played by the rules, I worked hard for forty-plus years, I did right by my family, and I was a solid member of my community. All I wanted was the modest retirement I had planned for. But the Democrats wrecked it. On purpose, and I'm mad as can be.
The actions of the people who are in charge of governments are supposed to benefit the countries they serve -- in theory, at least. In practice, the opposite is true. In the West, our leaders are destroying everything they can get their hands on.
This is certainly an apt description of the Biden/Harris administration. They inherited a healthy country from President Trump. The economy was taking off, inflation was practically nonexistent, the U.S. was energy independent for the first time in decades, and the border was closed. So what did Biden do? He immediately set out to reverse everything Trump achieved.
Who can claim to be better off under Biden? The economy has tanked, inflation is at a 40-year high, people can’t afford to heat their homes or fill up their cars with gas, crime statistics are off the charts, and confidence in America is at an all-time low. Biden’s open-border policy, which is opposed by a majority of American citizens, is leading to social unrest and economic chaos. A country without a functioning border is not a country, yet that is where Biden has taken us.
America is marching toward totalitarianism as Biden empowers the DoJ and FBI to go after his political opponents, i.e., at least half of the population. His worst offense, however, is following the climate dictates of the World Economic Forum. Biden is torpedoing the robust U.S. economy in service of a totally false assumption -- that human beings are able to change the planet’s climate. He is raising taxes so that billions of your dollars can be wasted on ridiculous anti-fossil fuel projects.
Biden has declared war on the energy industry in the name of global warming. He wants us to believe that oil, gas, and coal are killing the planet. What is the result of his climate policy so far? “Harvesting of fuel was cut back drastically,” explained Bill O’Reilly, “and that caused the price of oil worldwide to rise, and that caused the price of gas at the pump to rise, and that lit inflation, as all other goods went up in price as well because they are trucked in to the stores and businesses. That is all on President Biden.”
First, human beings are incapable of controlling the climate, which operates in cycles and always has since the planet was created. Second, our economy is dependent on fossil fuels, and -- contrary to the lies fed by the administration -- fossil fuel alternatives do not exist, and will not exist in the foreseeable future.
Climate Change Business Journal quantified the cost to the U.S. of the green agenda at a whopping $1.5 trillion per year. That is the equivalent of economic suicide. And what do we get for this waste of time, money, and effort? Danish environmentalist Bjorn Lomborg calculates that even if every nation in the world adheres to its climate change commitments -- which they won’t, by the end of the century it will reduce the world’s temperatures by a mere 1/20th of a degree. In other words, the quality of our lives is going to plummet based on a monumental hoax.
If Biden gets away with his green policy, it will play right into Obama’s socialist dream of fundamentally transforming America. Under the guise of responding to climate change, the Left wants to take what we have and redistribute it to the Third World even if it means crippling the U.S. economy. Rampant crime, insane immigration policy, assault on individual rights, suicidal climate dictates -- Americans are being sold out by the politicians in charge, who happen to be members of the Democratic Party.
Now let’s talk about our friends in Europe. The criminal politicians who are in charge on the other side of the Atlantic are no better than their American counterparts. Europe’s social fabric was destroyed when Angela Merkel decided to open Germany’s borders to an onslaught of immigrants from the Middle East and Africa, most of whom are either unwilling or unable to assimilate into European culture. Other countries followed Merkel’s deranged example. The appalling result is that France, the U.K., Holland, Belgium, Denmark, and Sweden are on the verge of civil war as they struggle to deal with hostile Muslim newcomers.
The takeover of Europe by Islam was predicted by Mark Steyn in his 2008 book, America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It. “What happens,” Steyn asked, “when a Western world so in thrall to platitudes about boundless ‘tolerance’ allows the forces of intolerance to carve it out from the inside? Much of the Western world is engaged in an act of auto-genocide, and Islam will be the immediate beneficiary.” European politicians have opened the doors to people who are opposed to the Western way of life and whose mission is to stamp it out.
On the economic front, European leaders have, like Biden in the U.S., succumbed to the delusional World Economic Forum. In a mad rush to eliminate reliance on fossil fuels, European economies are going into the winter without adequate energy supplies. The poor citizens of the continent are being told to anticipate blackouts and food shortages. They are about to discover that without fossil fuels, their way of life is going to hell.
What recourse do we voters have against the irresponsibility of political leaders who are obsessed with the lure of power? Is it too late to stop them? In the U.S., we have the possibility of Republican resurgence in the 2022 and 2024 elections. We need Donald Trump or someone like him to execute a return to sane policymaking. I’m counting on it. The alternative is just too bloody awful.

That's when Dobbs got off perhaps his best line of the morning. "The National Council of La Raza is talking about race? La Raza - what does that mean? It means 'the race'!"
Previous generations of immigrants did not believe they were

Bonin is not running for reelection to a third term; a left-wing “progressive,” he clashed frequently with constituents and with other civic leaders, especially over the issue of homelessness on the west side of the city.

Secret Recording Shows Racial Truths Behind LA Woke Politics
Earlier this month, an anonymous Reddit account posted several shocking audio recordings. The recordings seem to contain the voices of Council President Nury Martinez, Councilmembers Kevin de León and Gil Cedillo, and LA Labor Federation President Ron Herrera discussing a wide range of topics of great public interest and being incredibly racist while doing so.
Martinez is the LA City Council president and who was considered a mayoral prospect. She came out of a bunch of woke organizations and LAUSD. She’s as establishment as Kamala Harris. And, if she has her way, on a similar trajectory.
Kevin de Leon was an LA mayoral candidate, after previously running for Senate against Feinstein, he’s got positions with USC and UCLA pushing leftist agendas, and came out of the same woke establishment. Cedillo and Herrera are powerful union players. These are some of the powers that have made LA into the train wreck that it is and they want national office if they can get it.
These are not low-level politicians, they’re the local woke establishment. And in private, they say what they think.
In the recording, Council President Nury Martinez says of Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón, “F___ that guy, he’s with the Blacks.”
The revealing parts aren’t the racial slurs in Spanish, but the matter-of-fact racial realpolitik.

There’s the unapologetic colorism. And the naked truths about the racial dynamics of political power behind all that wokeness.
The politicians in question are being forced to apologize. Mike Bonin, as repulsive a creature as any of them, is calling for their heads. But who’s kidding whom? Behind the scenes, black politicians and Asians are likely to be just as racist, if not more so when talking about their opposite numbers.
The rainbow coalition is a tribal power struggle, not that different from Iraq or Afghanistan.

Los Angeles Democrats caught on tape guffawing together as one calls blacks monkeys
Two members of the Los Angeles City Council and a union leader released apology statements Sunday after a report published by the Los Angeles Times included transcribed leaked audio of offensive and racist remarks that were made during a private meeting. A third council member claimed to have no recollection of the conversation.
In the leaked audio, which was summarized by the Times but was originally posted to Reddit and remains readily available on social media, Council President Nury Martinez can be heard making derisive and racist comments about the child of Mike Bonin, the council member representing the 11th District.
Bonin, who is white, has an adopted son who is Black. In the leaked audio, Martinez can be heard describing Bonin's son as "ese changuito," or that little monkey, according to the Times. At one point, Martinez also refers to Bonin as a "little b----."
On October 9, 2022, a recording of a conversation between Martinez and other councilmembers Gil Cedillo, and Kevin de León regarding gerrymandering was leaked anonymously onto Reddit. In the meeting, Martinez stated "Fuck that guy ... He's with the Blacks", referring to District Attorney George Gascón. Martinez also insulted Councilmember Mike Bonin's adopted child, saying "This kid needs a beatdown. Let me take him around the corner, I'll bring him right back."[34]
The three councilmembers discussed how to appoint a new councilmember who would work in their interests and also agreed to gerrymanderNithya Raman's district.
Martinez, a longtime fixture in the Pacoima-San Fernando Latino political machine, Los Angeles City Council president, and the chief racist here, was trying to engineer a gerrymander of at least one district for the sake of the Latino machine at the expense of the black political machine. That's ostensibly because the black machine wields more power than its numbers of voters suggest, even though something comparable could be said of the Latino machine, which boasts about 48% - 65% of the population, with only about a third of whom can vote, either due to age (many Latinos are young) or the fact that many are here illegally from other countries.
So as Martinez attempted to rig the blacks out of the power system, through redistricting, she let spew the racism that came naturally to her.
It certainly explains this racism from her cited below from National Review -- signing off on cutting funding for the police, which hurts black communities the most:
Martinez and her colleagues cut the police department budget by $150 million, resulting in over $47 million in unpaid overtime hours by LAPD officers in the 2020-2021 fiscal year that will need to eventually be paid back, with interest, by taxpayers.
She reacted to a Los Angeles Times report on the council’s fiscal mismanagement by arguing that “regardless of any inevitable overtime pay, it’s undeniable that this council has listened and is focused on creating a more equitable city.”
Three hundred and ninety seven murders were recorded in Los Angeles in 2021, the most since 2006. It on track for roughly the same number of homicides this year.
Such a charming wokester. Now that the news of the tape is out, the denials and apologies are comical — the union leader among those guffawing, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor Ron Herrera, childing himself for not "speaking out" as the racism rolled was particularly a beaut — as if these people in their comfort zone with one another don't talk like this all the time. One of them, Gil Cedillo, who got himself a congressional seat awhile back from ballot-harvesting, claims he can't recall the conversation.
It's far from the first time that leftists in power have been caught on tape spewing hate about the people they claim to champion. It's natural stuff for the left. Recall that a northern California school board was caught on what its members thought was a private Zoom meeting (it wasn't) making foul remarks about parents who were concerned about lockdowns. These nasty creatures were eventually booted from office, but everyone knows what such Democrats say in private over that issue.
Martinez is part of the most corrupt segment of the Los Angeles ruling power elites: the James Acevedo-Alex Padilla-Kevin de León-Tony Cardenas Latino machine of the Pacoima-San Fernando area, who not only rule Los Angeles, but have the hooks in in Sacramento — de León almost won his Senate race against dotardly Sen. Dianne Feinstein in 2018. With Padilla now in the Senate, they've got the machine represented in Washington, too. They serve as a rival house of power to the corrupt Nancy Pelosi-Gordon Getty-Gavin Newsom-Kamala Harris-Willy Brown-Jerry Brown political machine in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the two houses, in their quest for power, work to out-woke each other — and shame the rest of the state and country as hopeless racists.
Well, it turns out that they're the flaming racists. This is much more than local politics here; this is how Democrats talk in private as they put on their virtue-signaling masks in public.
Their remarks are repulsive. Were a Republican such as Donald Trump caught making them — and he never has been, despite being constantly recorded — he would be denounced to high heaven. Such remarks would be hailed by this bunch as systemic racism and proof that all Republicans are racist. They get called racist anyway and not for anything racist.
But now we have the buck-naked racism on full display, coming from a solid blue city of Democrats with absolutely no conservative or Republican representation. We hear denunciations from other members of the political machines of Los Angeles, particularly the ones who were about to be rigged out of office. Most of the focus now is how if Martinez and the others aren't thrown out, it could affect the mayor's race, where a black candidate is running. Karen Bass, another former congresswoman who almost became Joe Biden's running mate, supposedly has a lock on the mayor's chair come November, but seems scared now that maybe with this scandal, the Latino vote is no longer a lock.
Democrats nationally have been silent and that's about par for this bunch.
That's why it's important that Republicans, as the media phrase goes, "pounce," taking full advantage of this unfinished scandal to remind the public that the Democrats remain the Party of the Klan. In Los Angeles, out in the Baldwin Hills area, there is a remnant branch of black Republicans dating from the Party of Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr. era. It's time to empower them.
And if not that, then Republicans. must get word out nationally that this is Who They Are.
These vile one-party machines need to be broken up so that if for nothing else, competition and civility can follow between the two political tendencies instead of buck-raw racism. The racism here in Los Angeles is completely at home in any one-party system or state.
UPDATE: Apparently, the ruling Democrats have managed to kick Martinez out, but it's not clear if she entirely resigned or is just giving up her fancy title as president of the city council. New reports say she's only giving up her fancy title as the Latina "first." The rest haven't, and additional racist ravings are revealed in this ABC7 story. The comparison to the Nazi Party is well deserved. La Raza openly supports pushing all but Latino Americans out of a portion of the United States (ethnic cleansing), they call for 'Reconquista' or the re-conquest of the American Southwest by Mexico (the re-occupation of the Sudetanland), and the establishment of 'Atzlan' which is the utopian all-Latino version of the American Southwestern states (Adolf Hitler planned to called his utopia Germania).

Both Barack Obama and John McCain will speak this week in San Diego at the annual conference of the National Council of La Raza, the Latino organization whose name is Spanish for, yes, "The Race." Can you imagine Obama and McCain paying homage to a group of white people who called themselves that? No matter. The presidential candidates and the media have legitimized "The Race" as a mainstream ethnic lobbying group and marginalized its critics as intolerant bigots. The unvarnished truth is that the group is a radical ethnic nationalist outfit that abuses your tax dollars and milks PC politics to undermine our sovereignty.
Here are 15 things you should know about "The Race":
15. "The Race" supports driver's licenses for illegal aliens.

Charlie Norwood rightly characterized the organization as "a radical racist group … one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West."

"The Race" is currently leading a smear campaign against staunch immigration enforcement leaders and has called for TV and cable news networks to keep immigration enforcement proponents off the airwaves -- in addition to pushing for Fairness Doctrine policies to shut up their foes. The New York Times reported that current "Race" president Janet Murguia believes "hate speech" should "not be tolerated, even if such censorship were a violation of First Amendment rights."
3. "The Race" sponsors militant ethnic nationalist charter schools subsidized by your public tax dollars (at least $8 million in federal education grants). The schools include Aztlan Academy in Tucson, Ariz., the Mexicayotl Academy in Nogales, Ariz., Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School in St. Paul, Minn., and La Academia Semillas del Pueblo in Los Angeles, whose principal inveighed: "We don't want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don't need a White water fountain … ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction."

As historian Victor Davis Hanson observes: "[The] organization's very nomenclature 'The National Council of La Raza' is hate speech to the core. Despite all the contortions of the group, Raza (as its Latin cognate suggests) reflects the meaning of 'race' in Spanish, not 'the people' -- and that's precisely why we don't hear of something like 'The National Council of the People,' which would not confer the buzz notion of ethnic, racial and tribal chauvinism."

Judge whose sister heads La Raza rules 130-year law against encouraging illegal immigrants is unconstitutional
Imagine if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Rashida Tlaib got to single-handedly veto sovereignty legislation dating back to the 1880s just like a president could veto a new bill passed by Congress this session. Imagine if they could unilaterally abolish ICE and declare open borders, except, unlike a president, they wouldn’t have to stand for re-election. Well, that is exactly the situation this week with a single federal judge. Thanks to Republicans agreeing to the notion that judges – even lower court judges – have direct veto power over legislation, a foundational immigration law has just been “vetoed.”
KCUR-FM reports that on Wednesday, Judge Carlos Murguia of the U.S. District Court of Kansas ruled, based on a Ninth Circuit opinion, that 8 U.S.C. §1324, the law prohibiting someone from “encouraging” or “inducing” illegal immigration, is an unconstitutional infringement upon the First Amendment. In doing so, Murguia vacated the convictions of two illegal aliens, Jose Felipe Hernandez-Calvillo and Mauro Papalotzi, who were convicted in August 2018 by a jury for conspiring to encourage illegal aliens to remain here through employment at a drywall company in Lawrence, Kansas. Four others were originally indicted by a grand jury in 2015.
Rather than rule based on the law, he decided to adopt the ruling of the Ninth Circuit (which doesn’t have jurisdiction in Kansas), which ruled last December that §1324 is “unconstitutionally overbroad” because it “criminalizes a substantial amount of protected expression.” “The court adopts (the 9th Circuit’s) analysis in full and agrees that (the law) on its face is overbroad under the First Amendment,” said Murguia in a brief bench ruling first reported by KCUR-FM.
This assertion is ridiculous, because the law clearly refers to engaging in subversive and fraudulent activities to encourage or enable actual individual aliens to remain in the country, not mere political advocacy for liberal immigration policies in the abstract. It’s like saying that someone who hates high taxes or gun control laws and advocates against them is the same as a person who actively assists tax cheats and gun felons in achieving the end goal of the criminalized behavior.
The 1952 INA (8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)) calls for felony prosecution for anyone who “encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.” Subsection (V)(I) prohibits “any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts.” The two defendants in this case were convicted on both counts. This law passed the Senate unanimously!
The forerunners to this law were the Contract Labor Law of 1885 and the 1891 Immigration Act. The 1885 law made it unlawful to “in any way assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien” for the purpose of contract labor. Section 3 of the 1891 Immigration Act made it a felony to “assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien by promise of employment” through advertisements.
Other circuits have long recognized this law as completely legitimate. “Harboring, within the meaning of §1324, encompasses conduct tending substantially to facilitate an alien’s remaining in the United States illegally and to prevent government authorities from detecting his unlawful presence,” wrote the Second Circuit in 1999. “Such facilitation may be attempted through a wide range of conduct.” (United States v. Kim, 193 F.3d 567, 574 (2d Cir. 1999).) The Fifth Circuit has ruled that Congress intended for §1324 to “broadly proscribe any knowing or willful conduct fairly within any of these terms that tends to substantially facilitate an alien’s remaining in the U.S. illegally.”
So how could a single judge who has a family history of open-borders activism be allowed to veto such long-standing and universal laws? The answer is that he has no such power other than what the other branches are willing to cede him.
The concern here is that this will not only protect employers who knowingly help illegal aliens get around our immigration laws, but it will also essentially legalize sanctuary cities. Throughout the county, sanctuary cities are taking active steps to thwart immigration law. We would never tolerate this for other federal laws concerning American criminals. Why should illegal aliens have special privileges?
Rather than shirking from §1324 prosecutions, Trump’s DOJ should aggressively go after sanctuary cities, especially in areas where there are saner federal judges. A judge has no power to “strike down” or veto statutes he or she believes are overly broad. If there is a case that concerns pure speech or advocacy without any conspiracy or action taken to encourage illegal immigration, then it is within the prerogative of a judge not to convict the person. That is judicial power. But judges have no ability to say that the statute can’t be applied even when an action is involved because, in their view, the text of the law might rope in speech in other cases. To believe otherwise is to concoct an entirely new level of judicial veto that our Founders explicitly rejected. This is the difference between judicial review and judicial supremacy.
Finally, it’s important to remember that this is yet another example of judges attempting to fully nullify long-standing immigration law. Some on the Right believe that Congress needs to pass new laws in order to end illegal immigration. It’s simply not true. We don’t have a law problem; we have a judicial supremacy problem. The only question is whether the other branches will give this fake power full effect.

The three adopted the 'Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America' and assigned 'working groups' to fill in the details. It was at this same meeting, grandly called the North American Summit, that President Bush pinned the epithet 'vigilantes' on the volunteers guarding our border in Arizona."
The CFR report – important excerpts of which are published in Whistleblower – also suggests North American elitists begin getting together regularly, and presumably secretly, "to buttress North American relationships, along the lines of the Bilderberg or Wehrkunde conferences, organized to support transatlantic relations." For decades, there have been suspicions that such meetings were used for plotting the course of world events and especially the centralization of global decision-making.

One of the standard arguments invoked by those in favor of massive immigration into the United States is that our country is founded on immigrants who have always been successfully assimilated into America's mainstream culture and society. As one commentator put it, "Assimilation evokes the misty past of Ellis Island, through which millions entered, eventually seeing their descendants become as American as George Washington."1 Nothing more vividly testifies against that romantic faith in America's ability to continuously assimilate new members than the events of October 16, 1994 in Los Angeles. On that day, 70,000 people marched beneath "a sea of Mexican flags" protesting Proposition 187, a referendum measure that would deny many state benefits to illegal immigrants and their children. Two weeks later, more protestors marched down the street, this time carrying an American flag upside down. Both protests point to a disturbing and rising phenomenon of Chicano separatism in the United States — the product of a complex of forces, among which are multiculturalism and a generous immigration policy combined with a lax border control. The Problem Chicanos refer to "people of Mexican descent in the United States" or "Mexican Americans in general." Today, there are reasons to believe that Chicanos as a group are unlike previous immigrants in that they are more likely to remain unassimilated and unintegrated, whether by choice or circumstance — resulting in the formation of a separate quasi-nation within the United States. More than that, there are Chicano political activists who intend to marry cultural separateness with territorial and political self-determination. The more moderate among them aspire to the cultural and political autonomy of "home rule". The radicals seek nothing less than secession from the United States whether to form their own sovereign state or to reunify with Mexico. Those who desire reunification with Mexico are irredentists who seek to reclaim Mexico's "lost" territories in the American Southwest.
Whatever their goals, what animates all of them is the dream of Aztlan. According to legend, Aztlan was the ancestral homeland of the Aztecs which they left in journeying southward to found Tenochtitlan, the center of their new civilization, which is today's Mexico City. Today, the "Nation of Aztlan" refers to the American southwestern states of California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, portions of Nevada, Utah, Colorado, which Chicano nationalists claim were stolen by the United States and must be reconquered (Reconquista) and reclaimed for Mexico. The myth of Aztlan was revived by Chicano political activists in the 1960s as a central symbol of Chicano nationalist ideology. In 1969, at the Chicano National Liberation Youth Conference in Denver, Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales put forth a political document entitled El Plan de Aztlan (Spiritual Plan of Aztlan). The Plan is a clarion call to Mexican-Americans to form a separate Chicano nation: In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historial heritage, but also of the brutal "gringo" invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the nothern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers ...declare that the call of our blood is...our inevitable destiny.... Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops, and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent.... Brotherhood unites us, and love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come .... With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil, we declare the independence of our mestizo nation. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan.
How Chicanos are Unlike Previous Immigrants Brent A. Nelson, writing in 1994, observed that in the 1980s America's Southwest had begun to be transformed into "a de facto nation" with its own culture, history, myth, geography, religion, education, and language. Whatever evidence there is indicates that Chicanos, as a group, are unlike previous waves of immigrants into the United States. In the first place, many Chicanos do not consider themselves immigrants at all because their people "have been here for 450 years" before the English, French, or Dutch. Before California and the Southwest were seized by the United States, they were the lands of Spain and Mexico. As late as 1780 the Spanish crown laid claim to territories from Florida to California, and on the far side of the Mississippi up to the Great Lakes and the Rockies. Mexico held title to much of Spanish possessions in the United States until the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the Mexican-American war in 1848. As a consequence, Mexicans "never accepted the borders drawn up by the 1848 treaty."
That history has created among Chicanos a feeling of resentment for being "a conquered people," made part of the United States against their will and by the force of arms. Their resentment is amply expressed by Voz Fronteriza, a Chicano student publication,
which referred to Border Patrol officers killed in the line of duty as "pigs (migra)" trying to defend "the false frontier."
Chicanos are also distinct from other immigrant groups because of the geographic proximity of their native country. Their physical proximity to Mexico gives Chicanos "the option of life in both Americas, in two places and in two cultures, something earlier immigrants never had." Geographic proximity and ease of transportation are augmented by the media. Radio and television keep the spoken language alive and current so that Spanish, unlike the native languages of previous immigrants into the United States, "shows no sign of fading."
A result of all that is the failure by Chicanos to be fully assimilated into the larger American society and culture. As Earl Shorris, author of Latinos: A Biography of the People, observed: "Latinos have been more resistant to the melting pot than any other group. Their entry en masse into the United States will test the limits of the American experiment...." The continuous influx of Mexican immigrants into the United States serve to continuously renew Chicano culture so that their sense of separateness will probably continue "far into the future...." There are other reasons for the failure of Chicano assimilation. Historically, a powerful force for assimilation was upward social mobility: Immigrants into the United States became assimilated as they rose in educational achievement and income. But today's post-industrial American economy, with its narrower paths to upward mobility, is making it more difficult for certain groups to improve their socioeconomic circumstances. Unionized factory jobs, which once provided a step up for the second generation of past waves of immigrants, have been disappearing for decades. Instead of the diamond-shaped economy of industrial America, the modern American economy is shaped like an hourglass. There is a good number of jobs for unskilled people at the bottom, a fair number of jobs for the highly educated at the top, but comparatively few jobs for those in the middle without a college education or special skills. To illustrate, a RAND Corporation study forecasts that 85 percent of California's new jobs will require post-secondary education. For a variety of reasons, the nationwide high-school dropout rate for Hispanics (the majority of whom are Chicano) is 30 percent — three times the rate for whites and twice the rate for blacks. Paradoxically, the dropout rate for Hispanics born in the United States is even higher than for young immigrants. Among Chicanos, high-school dropout rates actually rise between the second and third generations. Their low educational achievement accounts for why Chicanos as a group are poor despite being hardworking. In 1996, for the first time, Hispanic poverty rate began to exceed that of American blacks. In 1995, household income rose for every ethnic group except Hispanics, for whom it dropped 5 percent. Latinos now make up a quarter of the nation's poor people, and are more than three times as likely to be impoverished than whites. This decline in income has taken place despite high rates of labor-force participation by Latino men, and despite an emerging Latino middle class. In California, where Latinos now approach one-third of the population, their education levels are far lower than those of other immigrants, and they earn about half of what native-born Californians earn. This means that, for the first time in the history of American immigration, hard work is not leading to economic advancement because immigrants in service jobs face unrelenting labor-market pressure from more recently arrived immigrants who are eager to work for less. The narrowing of the pathways of upward mobility has implications for the children of recent Mexican immigrants. Their ascent into the middle-class mainstream will likely be blocked and they will join children of earlier black and Puerto Rican migrants as part of an expanded multiethnic underclass. Whereas first generation immigrants compare their circumstances to the Mexico that they left — and thereby feel immeasurably better off — their children and grandchildren will compare themelves to other U.S. groups. Given their lower educational achievement and income, that comparison will only lead to feelings of relative deprivation and resentment. They are unlikely to be content as maids, gardeners, or fruit pickers. Many young Latinos in the second and third generations see themselves as locked in irremediable conflict with white society, and are quick to deride successful Chicano students as "wannabes." For them, to study hard is to "act white" and exhibit group disloyalty. That attitude is part of the Chicano culture of resistance — a culture that actively resists assimilation into mainstream America. That culture is created, reinforced, and maintained by radical Chicano intellectuals, politicians, and the many Chicano Studies programs in U.S. colleges and universities. As examples, according to its editor, Elizabeth Martinez, the purpose of Five Hundred Years of Chicano History, a book used in over 300 schools throughout the West, is to "celebrate our resistance to being colonized and absorbed by racist empire builders." The book calls the INS and the Border Patrol "the Gestapo for Mexicans."
For Rodolfo Acuna, author of Occupied America: The Chicano's Struggle Toward Liberation, probably the most widely assigned text in U.S. Chicano Studies programs, the Anglo-American invasion of Mexico was "as vicious as that of Hitler's invasion of Poland and other Central European nations...." The book also includes a map showing "the Mexican republic" in 1822 reaching up into Kansas and Oklahoma, and including within it Utah, Nevada, and everything west and south of there
"This is country belongs to Mexico" is said by the Mexican Militant. This is a common teaching that the U.S. is really AZTLAN, belonging to Mexicans, which is taught to Mexican kids in Arizona and California through a LA Raza educational program funded by American Tax Payers via President Obama, when he gave LA RAZA $800,000.00 in March of 2009!
‘Diversity,’ Illegal Immigration and Destroying America

Now that official Washington’s political oxygen is being consumed by the latest school shooting, it’s easy to forget abiding disagreements about immigration policy. Yet, until supplanted by the current children’s crusade for gun control, it was the so-called “DACA kids” who had to be accommodated with a massive amnesty. Just as we seem determined to ignore factors in mass murders like the pop culture’s role in inculcating a lust for violence – the more, the better, what passes for debate about illegal aliens is increasingly unmoored from any discussion of their impact on American society. It’s time to reprise a 2003 warning by Democratic former Colorado governor Dick Lamm about a “secret plan” that is destroying our country through the combined effects of unchecked immigration, the “diversity” agenda and abandoning our national principle of “out of many, one.” This lunacy must end.
Earlier this month, an anonymous Reddit account posted several shocking audio recordings. The recordings seem to contain the voices of Council President Nury Martinez, Councilmembers Kevin de León and Gil Cedillo, and LA Labor Federation President Ron Herrera discussing a wide range of topics of great public interest and being incredibly racist while doing so.
Martinez is the LA City Council president and who was considered a mayoral prospect. She came out of a bunch of woke organizations and LAUSD. She’s as establishment as Kamala Harris. And, if she has her way, on a similar trajectory.
Kevin de Leon was an LA mayoral candidate, after previously running for Senate against Feinstein, he’s got positions with USC and UCLA pushing leftist agendas, and came out of the same woke establishment. Cedillo and Herrera are powerful union players. These are some of the powers that have made LA into the train wreck that it is and they want national office if they can get it.
These are not low-level politicians, they’re the local woke establishment. And in private, they say what they think.
In the recording, Council President Nury Martinez says of Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón, “F___ that guy, he’s with the Blacks.”
The revealing parts aren’t the racial slurs in Spanish, but the matter-of-fact racial realpolitik.
Cedillo: Yeah, that’s called K-Town. Yeah.
Martinez: I see a lot of little short dark people. Oxacan, Korean. Not even like Kevin, little ones. I was like, I don’t know what village they came from, how they got here, but
Herrera: I get what we have to do, right? Just message to create distincts that benefit you all. And the future too…
Martinez: If he resigns, hold on, if he resigns, and the African-Americans look at this as a hostile takeover because he’s gone. We’ll have to figure that S— out because politically they’re gonna come after us.
De Leon: Yeah, but can i say something right now. And this is what I call the coso se llama is the movie, the uh Wizard of Oz effect, and what I mean by the Wizard of Oz effect: you’re at the side of the curtain, is like this big voice, like thousands, but then you actually pull the curtain is that you see the little wizard
You know what? It’s the same thing.
Herrera: All right, it’s real simple. You got 100 people, right, 52 of them are Mexicano, I feel pretty good about it, about my chances of beating your ass
Cedillo: Twenty-five or so are black and the 25 blacks are shouting
De Leon: But they shout like they’re 250, when there’s 100 of us
There’s the unapologetic colorism. And the naked truths about the racial dynamics of political power behind all that wokeness.
The politicians in question are being forced to apologize. Mike Bonin, as repulsive a creature as any of them, is calling for their heads. But who’s kidding whom? Behind the scenes, black politicians and Asians are likely to be just as racist, if not more so when talking about their opposite numbers.
The rainbow coalition is a tribal power struggle, not that different from Iraq or Afghanistan.
This is what it’s like when the cameras are off and the pols feel safe talking to their own kind.

Los Angeles Democrats caught on tape guffawing together as one calls blacks monkeys
Two members of the Los Angeles City Council and a union leader released apology statements Sunday after a report published by the Los Angeles Times included transcribed leaked audio of offensive and racist remarks that were made during a private meeting. A third council member claimed to have no recollection of the conversation.
In the leaked audio, which was summarized by the Times but was originally posted to Reddit and remains readily available on social media, Council President Nury Martinez can be heard making derisive and racist comments about the child of Mike Bonin, the council member representing the 11th District.
Bonin, who is white, has an adopted son who is Black. In the leaked audio, Martinez can be heard describing Bonin's son as "ese changuito," or that little monkey, according to the Times. At one point, Martinez also refers to Bonin as a "little b----."
On October 9, 2022, a recording of a conversation between Martinez and other councilmembers Gil Cedillo, and Kevin de León regarding gerrymandering was leaked anonymously onto Reddit. In the meeting, Martinez stated "Fuck that guy ... He's with the Blacks", referring to District Attorney George Gascón. Martinez also insulted Councilmember Mike Bonin's adopted child, saying "This kid needs a beatdown. Let me take him around the corner, I'll bring him right back."[34]
The three councilmembers discussed how to appoint a new councilmember who would work in their interests and also agreed to gerrymanderNithya Raman's district.
Martinez, a longtime fixture in the Pacoima-San Fernando Latino political machine, Los Angeles City Council president, and the chief racist here, was trying to engineer a gerrymander of at least one district for the sake of the Latino machine at the expense of the black political machine. That's ostensibly because the black machine wields more power than its numbers of voters suggest, even though something comparable could be said of the Latino machine, which boasts about 48% - 65% of the population, with only about a third of whom can vote, either due to age (many Latinos are young) or the fact that many are here illegally from other countries.
So as Martinez attempted to rig the blacks out of the power system, through redistricting, she let spew the racism that came naturally to her.
It certainly explains this racism from her cited below from National Review -- signing off on cutting funding for the police, which hurts black communities the most:
Martinez and her colleagues cut the police department budget by $150 million, resulting in over $47 million in unpaid overtime hours by LAPD officers in the 2020-2021 fiscal year that will need to eventually be paid back, with interest, by taxpayers.
She reacted to a Los Angeles Times report on the council’s fiscal mismanagement by arguing that “regardless of any inevitable overtime pay, it’s undeniable that this council has listened and is focused on creating a more equitable city.”
Three hundred and ninety seven murders were recorded in Los Angeles in 2021, the most since 2006. It on track for roughly the same number of homicides this year.
Such a charming wokester. Now that the news of the tape is out, the denials and apologies are comical — the union leader among those guffawing, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor Ron Herrera, childing himself for not "speaking out" as the racism rolled was particularly a beaut — as if these people in their comfort zone with one another don't talk like this all the time. One of them, Gil Cedillo, who got himself a congressional seat awhile back from ballot-harvesting, claims he can't recall the conversation.
It's far from the first time that leftists in power have been caught on tape spewing hate about the people they claim to champion. It's natural stuff for the left. Recall that a northern California school board was caught on what its members thought was a private Zoom meeting (it wasn't) making foul remarks about parents who were concerned about lockdowns. These nasty creatures were eventually booted from office, but everyone knows what such Democrats say in private over that issue.
Martinez is part of the most corrupt segment of the Los Angeles ruling power elites: the James Acevedo-Alex Padilla-Kevin de León-Tony Cardenas Latino machine of the Pacoima-San Fernando area, who not only rule Los Angeles, but have the hooks in in Sacramento — de León almost won his Senate race against dotardly Sen. Dianne Feinstein in 2018. With Padilla now in the Senate, they've got the machine represented in Washington, too. They serve as a rival house of power to the corrupt Nancy Pelosi-Gordon Getty-Gavin Newsom-Kamala Harris-Willy Brown-Jerry Brown political machine in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the two houses, in their quest for power, work to out-woke each other — and shame the rest of the state and country as hopeless racists.
Well, it turns out that they're the flaming racists. This is much more than local politics here; this is how Democrats talk in private as they put on their virtue-signaling masks in public.
Their remarks are repulsive. Were a Republican such as Donald Trump caught making them — and he never has been, despite being constantly recorded — he would be denounced to high heaven. Such remarks would be hailed by this bunch as systemic racism and proof that all Republicans are racist. They get called racist anyway and not for anything racist.
But now we have the buck-naked racism on full display, coming from a solid blue city of Democrats with absolutely no conservative or Republican representation. We hear denunciations from other members of the political machines of Los Angeles, particularly the ones who were about to be rigged out of office. Most of the focus now is how if Martinez and the others aren't thrown out, it could affect the mayor's race, where a black candidate is running. Karen Bass, another former congresswoman who almost became Joe Biden's running mate, supposedly has a lock on the mayor's chair come November, but seems scared now that maybe with this scandal, the Latino vote is no longer a lock.
Democrats nationally have been silent and that's about par for this bunch.
That's why it's important that Republicans, as the media phrase goes, "pounce," taking full advantage of this unfinished scandal to remind the public that the Democrats remain the Party of the Klan. In Los Angeles, out in the Baldwin Hills area, there is a remnant branch of black Republicans dating from the Party of Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr. era. It's time to empower them.
And if not that, then Republicans. must get word out nationally that this is Who They Are.
These vile one-party machines need to be broken up so that if for nothing else, competition and civility can follow between the two political tendencies instead of buck-raw racism. The racism here in Los Angeles is completely at home in any one-party system or state.
UPDATE: Apparently, the ruling Democrats have managed to kick Martinez out, but it's not clear if she entirely resigned or is just giving up her fancy title as president of the city council. New reports say she's only giving up her fancy title as the Latina "first." The rest haven't, and additional racist ravings are revealed in this ABC7 story. Climate Change Business Journal quantified the cost to the U.S. of the green agenda at a whopping $1.5 trillion per year. That is the equivalent of economic suicide. And what do we get for this waste of time, money, and effort? Danish environmentalist Bjorn Lomborg calculates that even if every nation in the world adheres to its climate change commitments -- which they won’t, by the end of the century it will reduce the world’s temperatures by a mere 1/20th of a degree. In other words, the quality of our lives is going to plummet based on a monumental hoax.
