Report: 26 Illegal Alien Killers, Pedophiles Arrested in Sanctuary State California

Immigration and Customs Enforcement
ICE

More than two dozen illegal aliens convicted and charged with murder and child sex crimes have been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the sanctuary state of California.

Last month, ICE agents said they arrested 26 illegal aliens convicted or charged with murder, homicide, and child sex crimes, including assault against children, during a sting operation in the San Francisco Bay Area from Jan. 16 through Jan. 28.

“The neighborhoods where we live are now safer with the arrest of these egregious criminals,” ICE official Moises Becerra said in a statement. “The success of this operation is only possible through the continued professionalism, integrity, and diligence of our officers and their commitment to safeguard the homeland.”

Those illegal aliens arrested by ICE agents include:

  • A 29-year-old Honduran illegal alien convicted of felony lewd or lascivious acts on a child under 14 years old.
  • A 32-year-old Mexican illegal alien convicted of felony lewd or lascivious acts on a child under 14 years old.
  • A 26-year-old Mexican illegal alien who is wanted in Mexico on murder and attempted murder charges.

California has the strictest sanctuary state policy in the United States.

The policy bans local law enforcement agencies and state officials from cooperating with ICE agents to help find, detain, and ultimately deport illegal aliens convicted and charged of the most egregious crimes against American citizens.

Today, nearly five million illegal aliens and their U.S.-born children, commonly referred to as “anchor babies,” reside in California — the largest of any state in the nation.

A roster of Silicon Valley billionaires and some of the richest Republican donors are writing big checks for Nikki Haley's run at the 2024 GOP nomination.

Nikki Haley's presidential campaign is fueled in large part by cash from anti-Trump billionaires, according to new federal disclosures.

Ms. Haley raised $41.6 million in the second half of 2023 from a handful of billionaire donors who either funded former President Donald Trump in the past or have never supported him.

According to year-end Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations is linked to several organizations significantly bolstering her financial position. At the beginning of 2024, Ms. Haley's network gave her access to about $22.3 million in cash.

Ms. Haley is linked to four organizations outside of her principal campaign committee, Nikki Haley for President Inc. They are SFA Fund Inc., a hybrid political action committee; Team Stand for America, a nonqualified joint fundraising committee; Stand for America PAC, a qualified unauthorized PAC; and Stand for America Inc, a tax-exempt, nonprofit 501(c)(4) social welfare organization.

In 2023, the groups—with the exception of the nonprofit, which doesn't disclose its finances at the same rate as bodies regulated by the FEC—raised more than $129 million in total receipts in 2023 while spending more than $108 million.

SFA Fund Inc. raked in the most, with about $68.9 million coming in last year. Team Stand for America and Stand for America Inc. sent the hybrid PAC about $2.2 million in 2023. Another approximately $1.2 million came from WinRed, a hybrid PAC collecting online donations for Republican candidates. A majority of SFA Fund's haul came from deep-pocketed supporters looking for an alternative to President Trump.
Jan Koum

Just as in the first half of 2023, Ukranian American billionaire Jan Koum was the biggest benefactor of SFA Fund Inc. He gave another $5 million to the hybrid PAC in August 2023, bringing his total contribution for the year to $10 million.
Mr. Koum is a co-founder and former CEO of
messaging application WhatsApp. The application
was acquired by Facebook Inc. in 2014 for $19.3 billion.
Forbes estimates that Mr. Koum is worth $15.3 billion.

According to data collected by watchdog group Open Secrets, he began to donate to Republican Party causes in 2021. Most of his contributions have gone to the Republican Jewish Coalition Victory Fund and the United Democracy Project.
Paul Singer

Paul Singer, the founder, president, co-CEO, and co-chief investment officer at Elliott Investment Management, gave $5 million to the SFA Fund in December 2023.
Mr. Singer, according to Forbes, is worth about $6.1 billion. In terms of political donations, he is a consistent donor to Republicans seeking federal office as well as the major Republican-aligned PACs and committees, such as the Republican National Committee (RNC).
According to Open Secrets donor records, Mr.
Singer's recent $5 million gift to the SFA Fund was the largest of his career. The second largest was a $3 million gift in 2022 to the Republican-aligned Senate Leadership Fund.

In 2016, Mr. Singer supported Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) rather than President Trump. He sent more than $2.5 million to Our Principles PAC, which spent more than $16.3 million to oppose President Trump's 2016 run. In 2018, he donated $1 million to a PAC supporting President Trump called Future45.

Representatives of Mr. Singer didn’t respond to a request for comment by press time.
Ken Griffin

Kenneth Griffin, the founder, CEO, and co-chief investment officer of Citadel Investment Group, gave a total of $5 million to the SFA Fund in December 2023.

Mr. Griffin, according to Forbes, is worth about $36.9 billion, making him one of the 50 wealthiest people in the world.
Politically, Mr. Griffin constantly donates to Republican candidates and Republican causes and focuses much of his spending on Illinois. Between 2017 and 2022, he made 25 donations totaling $5 million or more.

His largest gift so far was a $26.75 million donation sent to The Coalition to Stop the Proposed Tax Hike Amendment in Illinois, according to Open Secrets records. That measure, which aimed to boost the Prairie State's ability to assess income tax, failed in November 2020.

Notably, Mr. Griffin also made significant donations to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis's reelection fund in 2018 and 2021. He did not support his run for the White House.

His $5 million gift to Ms. Haley's hybrid PAC was his largest donation of 2023, according to donor records.

Mr. Griffin has been a past supporter of President Trump. He donated $1 million to Future45 in 2018 and $250,000 in 2015.

In a statement provided to The Epoch Times, Mr. Griffin said his support for Ms. Haley is just part of his political donations ahead of the 2024 elections. However, he cited her "tremendous track record of leadership."

"America would be well served by someone with her foreign policy credentials and policy priorities in the White House," Mr. Griffin said in a statement. "She cares deeply about the future of all Americans and has demonstrated effective leadership advancing policies that promote lifelong prosperity, upward mobility, and our nation's safety and security."
Patrick Ryan

Patrick Ryan, chairman of Minneapolis-based construction and planning company Ryan Companies US Inc., gave $2.5 million to the SFA Fund in December 2023, according to FEC filings.
Mr. Ryan, who is not to be confused with another Republican donor by the same name (mentioned below), is not a major political donor. According to Open Secrets records, he has given smaller amounts to Ms. Haley and her associated funds in 2023.

Representatives of Mr. Ryan didn’t respond to a
request for comment by press time.

Chicago. Mr. Ryan, according to Forbes, is worth
$9.2 billion. The Ryan family is a significant

Ms. Ryan is a consistent donor to Republican causes and candidates. Her SFA Fund donation is her second largest ever. In 2022, she gave $7 million to the Senate Leadership Fund.

Representatives of Ms. Ryan didn’t respond to a request for comment by press time.
Tim Draper

Tim Draper, founder and managing partner of California-based Draper Associates and a member of the wealthy Draper family, gave $1 million to the SFA Fund in September 2023, bringing his total contribution to $2.25 million. Forbes estimates that he’s worth $1.2 billion.
Mr. Draper, who campaigned in 2018 to split the state of California into three states, is a prolific donor but not one to splurge on political causes. He’s given to both Republican and Democratic candidates, according to Open Secrets records. His SFA Fund gifts are his largest political contributions ever.

Representatives of Mr. Draper didn’t respond to a
request for comment by press time.
James Davis

James Davis, the owner and chairman of shoe and sporting goods company New Balance, gave about $2.5 million to the SFA Fund between October and December of 2023.
Mr. Davis, who purchased the Boston shoemaker
in 1972, is worth an estimated $5.7 billion,
according to Forbes. In 2016, Mr. Davis, according
to Open Secrets records, gave money to presidential
candidate Mr. Trump and a joint fundraising committee supporting him called Trump Victory.

According to Open Secrets donor records, Mr. Davis is a regular donor to Republican causes, but he hadn't previously donated more than $1 million. He has given small amounts to Democratic candidates in Massachusetts in the past, too.

Representatives of Mr. Davis didn’t respond to a request for comment by press time.
Warren and Harriett Stephens

Warren Stephens, who's the chairman, president, and CEO of Stephens Inc., and his wife, Harriet Stephens, gave more than $2 million to the SFA Fund between September and November 2023.
Mr. Stephens, according to Forbes, is worth an estimated $3.2 billion.

According to Open Secrets records, Mr. Stephens is a regular donor to Republican causes. However, his most significant expenditures have gone for and against President Trump.

In 2020, Mr. Stephens gave $2 million to Preserve America PAC, which spent more than $100 million against presidential candidate Joe Biden during that election. He also donated $500,000 to the Future45 PAC in 2020.

However, in 2016, he gave $2.5 million to the anti-Trump Our Principles PAC.

Representatives of Mr. Stephens declined to comment for this article.
David and Jennifer Millstone

One former key DeSantis donor flipped to Ms. Haley in 2023.

David Millstone, who's co-CEO of New York-based Standard Industries Inc., and his wife, Jennifer Millstone, donated a total of $1.6 million to the SFA Fund between October and December 2023.
In April, Mr. Millstone gave $1 million to Never
Back Down Inc., the PAC backing the candidacy of Mr. DeSantis until he dropped out of the presidential race in January.

Mr. Millstone typically donates to Republican causes, but he's also given to Democrats. In 2016, he gave a combined $350,000 to the Democratic Party-supporting House Majority PAC and Senate Majority PAC, and a number of other Democratic Party causes, including directly to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

As recently as 2022, Mr. Millstone was donating to both Democratic and Republican candidates, according to Open Secrets records. In 2023, he began donating solely to Republicans.

Ms. Millstone's biggest gifts have gone to Republicans. In 2022, she sent $115,000 to the RNC. However, she's also supported Democratic and independent candidates, according to donor records.

Representatives of the Millstones didn’t respond to a request for comment by press time.

David and Nicole Tepper

David Tepper, who's the president and founder of Appaloosa Management, and his wife, Nicole Tepper, gave about $1.5 million to the SFA Fund between November and December 2023.
Mr. Tepper, who is the owner of the NFL's Carolina Panthers, is worth an estimated $20.6 billion, according to Forbes.

Not a significant donor compared to others on this list, Mr. Tepper has given to both Democratic and Republican causes in the past. The donation to the SFA Fund was the largest of his career.
Image
His most considerable contribution came in 2016, when he gave $750,000 to New Day for America, a PAC supporting former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a Republican presidential candidate in 2016. In 2023, Mr. Tepper had previously endorsed the candidacy of former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie through a $250,000 donation to his PAC Tell It Like It Is.

Representatives of Mr. Tepper didn’t respond to a request for comment by press time.
Other Million-Dollar Donors

Three others gave a million or more to the SFA Fund in 2023.

Oil heir Ray Hunt and his wife, Nancy Hunt, together donated $1.2 million to the SFA Fund between November and December 2023.

Mr. Hunt, a son of H.L. Hunt, is part of the Texas oil billionaire family that Forbes estimates to be worth about $15.5 billion.

Mr. Hunt and his wife are regular donors to national and Texas-based Republican causes. He rarely donates to Democrats, according to donor records maintained by Open Secrets.

In the 2016 cycle, both Mr. and Ms. Hunt supported former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's PAC Right to Rise USA.

Representatives of the Hunts declined to comment on this article, citing a longstanding policy to not comment on Mr. Hunt's personal political donations.

Robert Granieri, a co-founder of New York-based financial services firm Jane Street Group LLC, gave the SFA Fund about $1 million.

According to donor records, Mr. Granieri gives to both Democrats and
Republicans regularly. The largest gift of his giving career came in 2021, when he gave $1 million to American Unity PAC, a group supporting the reelection of Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).

Representatives of Mr. Granieri didn’t respond to a request for comment by press time.

Ian Schaad, who is now retired but formerly worked at Jane Street, also gave about $1 million. Mr. Schaad often donates to Republican candidates, according to donor records maintained by Open Secrets.

The SFA Fund gift is the largest of Mr. Schaad's career. He had previously donated $450,000 to WFW Action Fund Inc., a PAC supporting the candidacy of Jane Timken. Ms. Timken, a former chair of the Ohio Republican Party, was a primary opponent of Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) in 2022.
