Report: Illegal Alien with Criminal Record Charged with Murdering Two Americans in Las Vegas Stabbing Spree
An illegal alien with a criminal record is charged with murdering two Americans, 30-year-old Maris Mareen DiGiovanni and 47-year-old Brent Allan Hallett, in a stabbing spree on the Las Vegas, Nevada, strip.
Late last week, 32-year-old Yoni Barrios, reportedly an illegal alien from Guatemala with a criminal record in the sanctuary state of California, allegedly went on a stabbing spree on the Las Vegas strip where he targeted eight random tourists and Americans while wielding a knife.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Barrios had recently arrived on the Las Vegas strip from California when he encountered DiGiovanni and other women with the “Best Showgirls in Vegas” group, who are hired for events and pose with tourists for photos.

Barrios walked up to the showgirls and asked for a photo, according to police, when he eventually pulled out a 12-inch knife — stabbing one of the women, and then stabbing DiGiovanni in the chest. While DiGiovanni was on the ground, one of the women applied pressure on top of her to help before paramedics arrived on the scene.
“Barrios thought the women were laughing at him and making fun of his clothing,” the arrest report states, according to the Associated Press. “Barrios started running and looking for groups of people so he could ‘Let the anger out.'”
Police allege that Barrios then ran looking for groups of people, stabbing six more including Hallett who died as a result. One of the stabbing victims is in critical condition and two others are in serious condition. The three remaining victims are in fair condition.
Barrios was quickly arrested in the midst of the stabbing spree and the knife he allegedly used was found in nearby bushes.
DiGiovanni’s family and friends have created a GoFundMe to help cover the costs of her funeral and support her husband, Cole.
“Maris was a light in the world, brightening every space she touched. Her light will live on and we will remember her always,” DiGiovanni’s family and friends wrote in a post.
DiGiovanni’s brother Gage P. DiGiovanni took to Twitter to remember his sister.
“Growing up in Spokane, WA she enjoyed sledding and making snowmen in the winter, and watching sunsets in the summer,” Gage P. DiGiovanni wrote:

Considering her passion for concerts and festivals, the obvious next home base was Las Vegas. Always opening their doors for friends and family, Maris was always the life of any gathering.
Maris loved the beauty of life, and lived it to fullest without limitations. She was an authentic and caring friend, a devoted wife, a kick-ass sister, and a loving daughter.
Maris always saw the best in people always gave them a chance and always accepted people for who they were. Her huge capacity for love lead her to have lasting friendships from all over the world. She was a beautiful spirit and soul and we will miss her for the rest of our lives.
She was a light to the world.
Barrios has been charged with two counts of murder and six counts of attempted murder. He remains in Las Vegas police custody without bail.

Biden’s DHS Gives Cellphones to over 255K Border Crossers, Illegal Aliens Released into U.S.
President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has given cellphones, with the intent of tracking their whereabouts, to more than 255,000 border crossers and illegal aliens released into the United States over the last year.
The data, published by DHS, reveals the extent to which the Biden administration has ballooned the size of the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program to more easily and quickly released hundreds of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities.
Hundreds of thousands more border crossers and illegal aliens are released into the U.S. interior with only Notices to Appear (NTA) in federal immigration court at later dates. Federal data has long suggested that a tiny fraction of border crossers and illegal aliens end up having valid asylum claims.
The latest ATD figures show that from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022, Biden’s DHS gave cellphones to monitor more than 255,000 border crossers and illegal aliens. The phones are meant to be used so the agency can track their locations. The phones cannot be used to search the internet or make other calls.
The cost to American taxpayers is more than $360,000 every day.
For comparison, just 26,000 border crossers and illegal aliens were given the cellphones for monitoring purposes in Fiscal Year 2021 — indicating the Biden administration has increased the use of the program by about 880 percent.
The number of border crossers and illegal aliens released on DHS’s “non-detained docket” now exceeds more than 3.3 million — a foreign population with no immigration status that is roughly seven times the population of Miami, Florida. As the data suggests, less than 10 percent of those border crossers and illegal aliens released into the U.S. interior are monitored by the agency.
Since Biden took office in late January 2021, his DHS has released about 1.35 million border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities — exceeding the populations of eight states.
In total, about 2.2 million border crossers and illegal aliens have arrived in the U.S. since Biden took office, including those who successfully crossed the border, undetected by Border Patrol agents.

Breitbart Business Digest: Labor Market Heat, Soggy FedEx, and Obama’s Inhospitable Island
Just for appearance’s sake, you would have thought that one of the homeowners in Martha’s Vineyard would have offered to open his or her house to the migrants shanghaied to the island by Florida governor Rick DeSantis. Instead, the migrants were sent packing to a military base on the mainland.
President Barack Obama, for example, has plenty of room. In 2019, Obama purchased a seven-bedroom, nine-bath, nearly 7,000-square-foot house that sits on 29 bucolic acres alongside Edgartown Pond on the island’s southeastern shore. His two neighbors to his immediate north have eleven beds between them, according to real estate records. The two neighbors to his south have ten beds between them. So by our count, the neighborhood could have housed more than half of the newcomers.
Since this is the Breitbart Business Digest, we’ll point out that the former president’s investment in Martha’s Vineyard real estate has worked out extraordinarily well. The president reportedly paid $11.75 million for the place in 2019. Zillow estimates that it is now worth $18.4 million, nearly a 57 percent gain.

I’ve Seen Fire…
The labor market remains incredibly hot. The Labor Department reported Thursday that initial unemployment claims fell by 5,000 to 213,000 in the week ended September 10. This is the fifth consecutive week of falling claims. The four-week moving average, which smooths out volatility from week to week, declined to the lowest level since June.
This suggests that the Federal Reserve’s efforts to ease labor market tightness have not gained much traction. Employers are clearly holding on to workers despite softening in the retail sector and in manufacturing. These low levels of layoffs point toward another hot jobs number for September. The tightness of the labor market will give workers more leverage to push for higher wages. That will fuel inflationary pressures further.
Shifting consumer spending toward services is likely creating additional demand for workers because so much of the services side of the economy is manpower intensive. Restaurant sales, for example, rose 1.1 percent in August, according to the Census Bureau.
…and I’ve Seen Rain…
FedEx delivered a pretty dire view of the global economy, sparking a broad selloff in stocks. The company warned that a macroeconomic slowdown was lowering the volume of goods being shipped around the world. In an appearance on CNBC Thursday, FedEx’s chief executive said he expects the global economy to enter a recession. The company warned that profits in the quarter that includes August would be roughly half of what Wall Street was expecting. Shares of FedEx fell 21 percent on Friday.
While FedEx’s size makes it a decent economic bellwether, it’s not safe to assume that the U.S. economy is in as dire shape as the decline in FedEx shares might seem to imply. In the first place, a lot of the softness FedEx expects is emerging from Asia and Europe, which have their own particular challenges. Second, FedEx was a huge benefiter of all the consumer spending on goods during the pandemic and post-pandemic recovery. Now that spending is rebalancing back toward services, this will hurt shipping volumes.
In the Census Bureau’s report on retail sales for August, online sales dropped by 0.7 percent. That is the first month-to-month decline since March and likely reflects a shift away from people ordering so much stuff. (Although some of the decline may be an artifact of the seasonal adjustment not properly accounting for Amazon’s Prime Day in mid-July.)
That said, the shift back to services is happening more slowly than expected. Remember that big jump in restaurant sales we mentioned? A good part of it was due to inflation rather than people eating out more frequently. The consumer price index of food away from home rose 0.9 percent. So the real increase was just 0.2 percent. On an annual basis, sales are up 10.9 percent, but the price index is up by eight percent, leaving real growth at just under three percent.
… I’ve Seen Rate Hike Cycles That Never Seemed to End
The Federal Reserve is almost certain to announce a 75 basis point rate hike next week, although there is a slim chance that they could announce a 100 basis point hike. If the Fed does act as expected, however, the focus of investors will be on the Summary of Economic Projections (SEP). We haven’t seen the dots since the June meeting, and it is very clear those are now badly out of date.
The last SEP had the Fed Funds rate rising to 3.4 percent by the end of this year and 3.8 percent by the end of next year. We’ve since heard from a number of Fed officials that they would like to see the target be around four percent early next year, which means the expected tightening has not just accelerated by 12 months but also pushed up the terminal rate. That report also had unemployment at 3.7 percent by the end of this year and 3.8 percent by the end of next year. Both are likely to be revised a good deal higher in the new estimates.
A big test will be not just how high the Fed Funds rate is expected to go but how long it will stay there. The June SEP had the rate falling back down to 3.4 in 2024. If the Fed wants to really convince the market that rates will stay higher for longer, officials may do away with the projected decline. The Fed still has work to do to convince markets that they will not soon see lower rates again.

The Hollywood Reporter recently broke a scoop about the latest Netflix documentary from the Obamas, designed to offer us an oasis of joy as we suffer through the coronavirus pandemic. It's called "Becoming," and it will be available worldwide on May 6. As the title suggests, it promotes Michelle Obama's memoir of the same name, which has sold more than 10 million copies. So let's get this straight. The Obamas were awarded a book deal worth an estimated $65 million for their memoirs, hers and then his. They also struck an estimated $50 million production deal with Netflix. (We don't have actual numbers. Could someone in the media ask for a tax return?)
With this self-aggrandizing documentary, their second deal is being used to accentuate the profits of their first. The buckraking here is intense. President Donald Trump surely admires their self-promotional moxie. The Obamas quickly became super rich. The documentary celebrates Michelle Obama's "Becoming" book tour events at stadiums that charged Obama superfans $300 or more a ticket, often with celebrities like Oprah Winfrey along for the ride.
Media outlets repeated Obama's self-puffery without rebuttal. "Those months I spent traveling -- meeting and connecting with people in cities across the globe -- drove home the idea that what we have in common is deep and real and can't be messed with," she said in a statement. She augmented her new status as a self-help guru with a workbook of sorts: "Becoming: A Guided Journal for Discovering Your Voice," complete with "an intimate and inspiring introduction by the former First Lady and more than 150 inspiring questions and quotes to help you discover -- and rediscover -- your story."
Not everyone famous is praised for self-help books for women. The current president's daughter Ivanka Trump wrote one in 2017, and The New York Times was brutal. "It reads more like the scrambled Tumblr feed of a demented 12-year-old who just checked out a copy of Bartlett's Familiar Quotations from the library," it wrote.
There are never Republican critics of Obama in the "news" these days. In a Washington Post story on the documentary, writer Sonia Rao quoted Anita McBride, chief of staff to former first lady Laura Bush, who said Obama was "a reluctant first lady" but then formed lasting public connections through her "extraordinary use of media and pop culture and television."
Is that Michelle's gift to the media? No, it's the media's gift to Michelle. The infatuated titans of "news" and entertainment media appear to have granted her every "extraordinary" wish in building this "billion-dollar brand."

It's time for them to take the criticism they so richly deserve.
I heard only two weeks ago about a grandmother in New Orleans, Linda Frickey, 73, who was carjacked in March after taking a break from work to put something in her car. When the carjackers rushed the car and drove off, Frickey got tangled in the seatbelt and was dragged for one block as her clothes were being torn off.
According to witness Leanne Mascar, after a neighbor frantically screamed to let her go, the carjackers “slowed down and opened the door to kick her out.” Naked and with her arm severed, that grandmother bled to death in the street.
This happened as the blood of vicious murdering and random violence spills from its usual purlieu to just about everywhere in America. As anti-policing policies infect the country with gut-churning insecurity, in August monthly civilian gun sales exceeded 1 million for a recording-breaking 37 consecutive months.
A day after a 27-year-old California woman’s head was found under her car, severed with a sword by her ex-boyfriend in broad daylight; the same week jogger Eliza Fletcher’s body was found after being randomly kidnapped and raped; and the same day deranged Memphis teenager, Ezekiel Kelly, livestreamed his massacre on Facebook – the Obama’s unveiled their portraits at the White House.
The two uttered calm, “mostly peaceful” speeches atop Biden’s wreckage of record inflation, record border crossings, record crime, record racial and political division, and full-blown generalized anxiety over the deliberate torching of America’s load-bearing institutions. The Obamas gave every indication that they have no earthly idea about what’s happening in the real world.
“Joe, it is now America’s good fortune to have you as president,” Obama said in the speech, partly meant to atone for overshadowing Biden on his last visit. “You have guided us through some perilous times. You’ve built on and gone beyond the work we all did together to expand health care, to fight climate change, to advance social justice, and to promote economic fairness.”
And then he said it.
“Thanks to your decency and thanks to your strength, maybe most of all thanks to your faith in our democracy and the American people, the country’s better off than when you took office …”
In what world is that true? A make-believe one, of course.
More than a century after slavery was abolished, over a half century after the end of legal discrimination, and when blacks in America – despite it all – have become the most successful in human history, Barack and Michele Obama remain the king and queen of an enchanted Neverland where the unicorn dreams of “social justice” and “economic fairness” produce a perpetual crop of endless grievances.
But paying homage to progressive policies makes sense when you think that it was Obama, who ran on a platform to “fundamentally change the United States of America,” opened the political can of worms that has, today, made America unrecognizable.
Biden’s catastrophes are the rotten fruit of Obama’s policies.
It was Obama, in 2009, who spent his first 100 days apologizing for America’s sins on three continents. In France he said America “has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive” of Europe. He poetically seethed, in London, that the world’s financial system was created through decisions made by “just Roosevelt and Churchill sitting in a room with a brandy.” And when asked if he believed in American exceptionalism, he said yes, but in the same way “that Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks in Greek exceptionalism.”
In the end, his confessions diminished America but earned nothing from jealous friends and avowed enemies.
It was Obama who, while in Turkey that same year, said the U.S. no longer believed itself to be a Judeo-Christian nation.
“Although, as I mentioned, we have a very large Christian population,” said Obama, “we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation.”
It was Obama who repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in the military in 2010 and, in 2011, refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which defined marriage as only between a man and a woman.
After the Supreme Court ruled DOMA unconstitutional in 2013, and in 2015 ruled that the Constitution protects same-sex marriage, it was an unusually giddy Obama who celebrated the decision by lighting up the White House in the colors of the rainbow.
After admitting he didn’t have all the facts, it was Obama who said that the Cambridge police “acted stupidly” in arresting his friend Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., and in 2013, took sides in the highly publicized Trayvon Martin case.
“You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot, I said that this could have been my son,” Obama said at a press briefing. “Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago.”
After saying that he, like many black males, had been followed while shopping, heard people locking their car doors as he walked down the street, and that he saw a woman clutching her purse “nervously and holding her breath” on an elevator until she got off, Obama said the justice system is racially biased.
“The African-American community is also knowledgeable that there is a history of racial disparities in the application of our criminal laws – everything from the death penalty to enforcement of our drug laws.”
Black Lives Matter was created that same month, a group that Michelle Obama fully supports to this day – after the riots, after the random violence and destruction, and after the Derek Chauvin guilty verdict.
“Many of us still live in fear as we go to the grocery store …” she told Gayle King in a 2021 interview. “Like so many parents of black kids … the innocent act of getting a license puts fear in our hearts. … I mean, all those Black Lives Matter kids, they’d rather not have to worry about this.”
With no more offices to run for, it’s sad to see that the Obamas have become completely irrelevant in the real world as they fully embrace their role as king and queen of perpetual black grievance. Despite the mayhem and death young blacks create in Chicago, New York and Memphis, and no matter how much their own lives contradict the deeply flawed narratives they push, the Obamas strut in the accolades of cheap royalty, with stupid pride.
“For me, this day is not just about what has happened, it’s also about what could happen,” she said at the unveiling. “Because a girl like me, she was never supposed to be up there next to Jacqueline Kennedy and Dolly Madison. She was never supposed to live in this house, and she definitely wasn’t supposed to serve as first lady.”
No Michelle.
Your extremist policies of climate change, social justice, and economic fairness are creating real victims – in the real world – who couldn’t care less about your bleeping color. They’re suffering and dying, for God’s sake.

No Shady Banking Buddy Left Behind
First Lady Michelle Obama's latest overseas jaunt is getting all the headlines. But President Obama's money-grubbing junket to Chicago may cost taxpayers far more in the long run. With his Gaultier-clad wife sashaying around the Spanish seaside, the lonely fundraiser-in-chief returned to Illinois to take care of some birthday-week business. Job One: Filling the Senate campaign coffers of his corruption-tainted political protege Alexi Giannoulias.
Mission accomplished. Obama's Thursday afternoon campaign event for Giannoulias, the beleaguered state treasurer of Illinois, reportedly raked in $1 million. Lagging behind his GOP opponent, liberal Republican Rep. Mark Kirk, Giannoulias has coveted one-on-one, grip-and-grin time with Obama for months. In addition to the cash, photo-ops and video of the Obama fundraising event that Giannoulias will milk from now until Election Day, the White House has dispatched Vice President Joe Biden, White House senior adviser David Axelrod and White House campaign management guru David Plouffe to boost Giannoulias' bid. Plouffe proclaimed Democrats "all in" for Giannoulias, whom he described as "a great progressive champion."
Obama gave his own personal seal of ethical approval,

strong sense of advocacy for ordinary Americans. You

What would Giannoulias know about "ordinary Americans"? Giannoulias, 34, befriended Obama during pickup basketball games with an elite group that also included Michelle Obama's brother, Craig; Chicago edu-crat Arne Duncan (now Education Secretary); and hedge fund manager John Rogers (the ex-husband of the Obamas' ex-White House social secretary, Desiree Rogers). He spread his wealth and influence around early and often to support Obama's fledgling political career. He pitched in $7,000 in 2003-2004 to Obama's Illinois State Senate bids. He hosted fundraisers for Obama's U.S. Senate campaign in 2004 and for his presidential campaign in 2007.
Where'd the cash come from? Giannoulias' Greek immigrant family founded Chicago-based Broadway Bank, a now-defunct financial institution that loaned tens of millions of dollars to convicted mafia felons and faced bankruptcy after decades of engaging in risky, high-flying behavior. It's the place where Obama parked his 2004 U.S. Senate campaign funds. And it's the same place where a mutual friend of Obama and Giannoulias -- convicted Obama fundraiser/slum lord Tony Rezko -- used to bounce nearly $500,000 in bad checks written to Las Vegas casinos. This week, the Chicago Sun-Times revealed an additional $22.75 million Broadway Bank loan to a Rezko-owned business in 2006. Giannoulias held an ownership stake in the bank at the time.
Giannoulias served as Broadway Bank vice president and senior loan officer for four years. According to the Chicago Tribune, during Giannoulias' tenure, some $27 million of Broadway Bank's funny money went to mob crooks Michael "Jaws" Giorango and Demitri Stavropoulos. Giorango is a hustler who fronted a nationwide prostitution ring and was sentenced to six months in prison; Stavropoulos is behind bars for operating a multistate bookmaking ring. Giorango ran the $400-an-hour call girl operation out of high-rise luxury apartments in Chicago with the infamous "Gold Coast Madam," Rose Laws. Giorango and Stavropoulos used their Broadway Bank loans to start their own risky lending business for nontraditional borrowers unable to secure traditional bank financing.
Despite Giorango's criminal record exposed by the Tribune in 2004, Broadway Bank approved massive mortgages for him. Giannoulias' brother, Demetris, explained that as a "relationship bank," Broadway wouldn't just throw someone under the bus because of a "bad article." Instead, the bank went ahead and rubber-stamped a September 2005 loan for $3.4 million to buy a 32-unit Los Angeles apartment complex. The application falsely stated that the borrower, Giorango, had "not been convicted of a felony." Giannoulias oversaw the servicing of such shady loans totaling $11 million. Remember: He was no low-level staffer. He was, as he reminded supporters when he needed to deflect attention away from his youth, top management at Broadway Bank.
In January 2010, the bank entered a consent decree with federal and Illinois state regulators. It required Broadway Bank "to raise tens of millions in capital, stop paying dividends to the family without regulatory approval, and hire an outside party to evaluate the bank's senior management." The city's former inspector general blasted Giannoulias and his family for tapping $70 million worth of dividends in 2007 and 2008 as the real estate crash loomed. Broadway Bank was sitting on an estimated $250 million in bad loans. In late April, federal regulators shut it down. Cost to taxpayers: an estimated $390 million. Giannoulias refused to drop out of the race -- and instead used the company failure to argue that it made him (SET ITAL) more (END ITAL) qualified to serve in office: "I have a renewed vigor and a new perspective on just how horrible it is out there for so many people."
Forget ‘Michelle for President’
Our betters in the MSM, and related ruling-class mouthpieces, have set the narrative: the lackluster, too-crazy pack of Democrat presidential candidates, even with a few token billionaires, will ultimately give way to the entry of Michelle Obama into the race. The former First Lady, author of an apparently best-selling memoir, will inject palpable blue energy throughout the nation, return black America to a 95+% Democrat voting bloc, consolidate the Obama voting coalitions that won two presidential elections, and the evil interloper Trump will be sent packing.
Don’t buy this narrative.
In a country of 320+ million people, there is always a sizable segment who will not be willing or able to discern or question anything beyond what they are told by the MSM, and will follow the narrative. That segment is actually becoming smaller every year; the reality of fake news has diluted the MSM’s influence to a far greater degree than they understand. But that’s not why I’m not buying the narrative.
Here’s why:
‘Obama’ is how we got Trump. For all the gigabytes devoted to explaining how Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, the simplest two-word explanation has always been: Barack Obama.
Most Americans never agreed with the radical left-wing policies that President Obama instituted, nor did they appreciate his subtle, persistent denigration of America’s character, identity and place in the world. But Americans did salute to the notion that we should be especially careful not to criticize America’s first black President.
In short, the absence of strong criticism of President Obama and his policies was not due to their popularity, but rather due to a surrender to the political reality enforced in great degree by the MSM that any such criticism would be labeled as racist. His policies and view of America were in fact alarming to many Americans, who silently bided their time until he was out of office.
The truth is that Barack Obama was and is a radical leftist ideologue who in his own words sought to fundamentally transform America. A few observers saw this agenda from the beginning of Obama’s appearance on the national scene, but they were voices in a wilderness dominated by a sycophantic media. The American people never supported a fundamental transformation of their country -- in leftist terms, a shredding of America’s Judeo-Christian heritage in favor of a godless, George Soros-vision of an Open Society, directed and controlled by almighty secular government -- and the more they understood the truth of who Obama was and what he was trying to do, the angrier and more resentful they became.
Donald Trump was the anti-Obama for one simple reason: he loves America.
And so…the “Michelle Obama riding on the residual goodwill of the Obama name!” campaign narrative, doesn’t resonate.
‘Blexit’ is real. Candace Owens deserves tremendous credit for branding and building the “Blexit” movement, and for devoting her amazing intelligence and energy to its articulate messages. Yet well before Blexit was a thing, Donald Trump planted the seed with black Americans when he said in August 2016: “What do you have to lose by trying something new, like Trump?”
Three-plus years later, with black unemployment the lowest in recorded history, polls that show roughly a third of likely voting black Americans supporting President Trump are not an accident or a fluke. (And they may just mark the floor of his support in 2020.) They reflect conscious recognition among black Americans of simple truths: black lives generally did not get better under eight years of Obama; black lives generally have gotten much better under less than three years of President Trump.
And so…the “Michelle Obama will bring back the good old days of black prosperity!” campaign narrative falls flat.
Barack Obama is the elephant in the room re Barr/Durham. Of all the names that engaged Americans associate with the Russia Collusion hoax -- Brennan, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Ohr, Rosenstein, Simpson, Steele, etc. -- there is one that is going to loom larger and larger in public thought as the Horowitz IG report and Barr/Durham followup becomes public: Barack Obama.
Our own guess is that when the truth finally comes out, Americans across the political spectrum will be stunned at the level of criminality and corruption in the Obama administration. It will shock the collective conscience of the nation that all of this was directed to brazenly and arrogantly overturning the will of the American people for the ugly but simple reason that Donald Trump was an outsider who threatened the Obama/leftist/globalist hold on power.
If the Horowitz report and Barr/Durham follow-up reveals, as seems increasingly likely, the deliberate and nefarious concoction of the Russia Collusion Hoax by leaders in the CIA, FBI, and DoJ, the vast majority of Americans, including millions who have historically identified themselves politically as Democrats, will be fiercely offended at this historic, unconscionable abuse. And who is at the top of all the plotting and scheming and lying and weaponization of government against the will of the people? Barack Obama.
And so…the ”Michelle Obama will bring back the days of the scandal-free Obama administration!” campaign narrative reeks.
Michelle’s heart isn’t in it… and may not be a happy heart anyway. Mrs. Obama is on record saying she has no interest in running, and of course, those words by themselves mean nothing as to whether she will enter the race. But we think they do signal that at her core, her heart is not in it. And ‘it’ refers to the pressure, the nastiness, the unrelenting spotlight, the every-word-and-every-smirk-on-video scrutiny of an American presidential race.
Michelle Obama’s eight years in a soft, adulatory spotlight as First Lady are not the same as the brass tacks rough-and-tumble of a presidential campaign. And even if the MSM did everything in its power to shield her (and it surely would), the MSM is not the gatekeeper it once was. Plus, winners tend to be happy warriors. There has always seemed to be an undercurrent of anger in Michelle Obama’s countenance, and if it ever flared on the campaign trail, she could quickly find herself in a big hole. Anger doesn’t win elections.
Michelle Obama may or may not get into the race; it’s probably a 50/50 proposition at this point. And if she does get in, she’ll have access to the best messaging talent the left can buy. So she’d make waves for a while. But soon enough, the reality of Barack Obama’s unpopularity, the reality of the criminal abuse by his administration in trying to frame and otherwise take down President Trump, and the reality of a booming economy helping all Americans, would take the air out of her balloon. “Bring Back Barack” is not a winning campaign theme. And if a tweet or two happened to get under her skin, the result could be ugly.
“Michelle Obama for President” is not inevitable or invincible.

The U.S. is currently in the midst of a serious border crisis since Joe Biden took over.
More than 1.7 million migrant encounters occurred in FY 2021, and more than 2 million in FY 2022. The actual number of individuals who managed to cross the border and are inside the U.S. has to be considerably higher.
So what usually occurs after these migrants are apprehended?
The Biden administration transports these migrants, including the underaged migrants, via night flights, from Texas to New York, late at night.
So what happens after they land?
The New York Post reported that the migrants are then bussed to various other states or cities such as New Jersey or Philadelphia. It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that these migrants are dropped into swing states.
None of this is reported by the mainstream news media, obviously.
The migrants are resettled into working-class neighborhoods of these states.
Any locality has facilities and resources that are directly proportional to the number of residents, i.e., citizens, living there.
What happens when migrants inundate these localities?
They occupy parks, pavements, and other free spaces, and once again the citizens whose tax money funds the construction and maintenance of these places, suffers.
When the sanitation and waste management facilities are overwhelmed, it results in the surroundings becoming unhygienic, which will become a health hazard causing the spread of diseases.
If the migrants have highly contagious infections such as COVID-19, Monkeypox, tuberculosis, measles, leishmanosis, or any other infectious diseases, once again the citizen suffers, first in the risk of being infected, and second as health facilities meant for citizens are overwhelmed, causing them to have no option but to ignore citizens.

Beyond these issues, the impact of uncontrolled migration is cultural, which can hardly be gauged because the change is gradual.
The migrants may originate from cultures that have anachronistic values and practices from what is found in the U.S. Instead of adapting to their surroundings, quite a few expect everyone else to adapt to their values. Among other things, their refusal to conform results in ‘honor' killings, incestuous marriages, child marriages, foot baths, and 'press 1 for English.’
In addition to the violence and regressive practices, culture and values are the core identity of a nation and a locality that sees its erosion will soon be a lost community.
This uncontrolled influx is a long-term project of the Democrats – to inundate swing states with these migrants who, they think, will be Democrat voters. The hope is this new Democrat voter base will overwhelm the impact of existing Republican voters.
Soon elections are rendered meaningless.
The Democrats have successfully implemented this in states such as New York and California, where even a potted plant, or worse, the likes of AOC, with the letter ‘D’ after its name, is certain to win elections. In California, there are districts so packed with illegal aliens that voter turnout only amounts to about 10% of the number of people present to create the district. These are known as "dead" zones and Democrats know all about them. Large numbers of illegal immigrants also pad congressional seats for Democrats so that even if the illegals do not vote, their presence makes Democrat congressional seats possible that wouldn't otherwise be there. The contests in these states with these arrangements are not between left and right, but left, far left, and socialists.
This open border isn’t due to Biden’s misgovernance, this is an intentional and malicious act to ensure a permanence of power, both nationally, and in key states.
The Democratic leaders who support open borders never suffer the consequences of the policies they advocate.
They live in affluent localities. Their properties are surrounded by imposing walls. They also have armed bodyguards. The migrants will not be allowed even near these localities, except as maids and gardeners.
That changed in April, when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott led a unique practical experiment by transporting immigrants on a voluntary basis to "sanctuary" states run by open borders advocates. The goal was to make them accept the consequences of their words and actions.
These migrants were transported to cities such as New York, Chicago, and Washington. Some were even dropped outside the Washington D.C. home of Kamala Harris, Joe Biden's border czar who had just advised the country that the border was "secure."
The governor of Arizona also followed this move, as so did Florida's Gov. Ron DeSantis, who flew some 50 migrants in to tony Martha’s Vineyard.
As expected, the migrants haven’t been welcomed with open arms. The mayors of the cities have complained and attacked Republican governors while the wealthy liberals of Martha’s Vineyard haven’t actually opened their homes to the migrants they claim to love. Some authorities have called the National Guard.
In doing this, the governors have revealed the Democrats to be hypocrites and elitists.
But we already knew that.
So what happens next?
Doubtlessly, at least some of these migrants will be transported to detention centers away from the local mansions where they will then be re-released back to swing or Republican states.
If there has to be any long-term impact from this amusing exercise, all GOP governors much join in and keep dispatching migrants, to liberal states for as long as they can.
In time, the Democrats may block the busses at their city borders and prevent migrants from disembarking from planes.
It will be chaotic.
The only hope is that the chaos will cause local authorities compel the upper echelons of the Democrat party to fix the borders.
But the exercise in holding the open-border proponents accountable must not stop here.
When the GOP wins back the House and the Senate, they must author a bill that does the following:
- Mandates the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to resume construction of a border barrier wall along the U.S.-Mexico border that President Trump began.
- Mandates DHS to deploy tactical infrastructure and technology across all borders beginning with the southern border.
- Mandates U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to increase the number of border security agents and officers.
Now for the most crucial aspect of all this, the funding:
Yes, the taxpayers will be paying.
But the bill must have any or ideally both of the following clauses:
- Mandate the transportation of migrants to liberal states whose governors, senators, representatives, and mayors advocate open borders.
- All lawmakers who do not vote for the bill, i.e., who advocate open borders, must be compelled to pay an additional tax to fund infrastructure in these liberal cities that will accommodate the newly arrived migrants.
- In addition to accommodation, these lawmakers must also contribute to funds for law enforcement, hospitals, and schools for migrants.
- This tax must not be restricted to lawmakers, but also to governors, mayors, and presidents who are proponents of open borders.
This will be an ideal way for the Democrats to show they really care for the migrants.
The Democrats will have two choices, either vote for border security and pay nothing, or not vote for border security and fund the costs of migrants.
Let’s see how they vote.
Will a bill such as this ever be authored?
Very unlikely.
But one sincerely hopes some among the lawmakers at least try.
