Texas Governor Greg Abbott met on Saturday with a contingent of Texas sheriffs to discuss their concerns about the current border crisis’s impact on counties within the state. According to Abbott, the necessity of such workshops is caused by the current administration’s abandonment of efforts to enforce immigration laws that were passed by the United States Congress.

Governor Abbott heard commentary from several sheriffs from different regions of the state who expressed concern with the increasing levels of arrests made in connection to the current migrant surge along the border. Issues discussed also included the heightened level of danger to the public as a result of high-speed pursuits on Texas highways.

At the conclusion of the event, Abbott expressed his dismay at the current administrations handling of the crisis. “The bottom line is, because of the current administration’s complete abandonment of enforcing the laws passed that were passed by the United States Congress, concerning immigration, there is an unprecedented increase in people coming across the border,” the Texas governor told the group of Sheriffs. He concluded, saying, “Even though the federal government may have abandoned their responsibility, we have not.”

“President Biden’s open border policies have led to a disaster on our border, and the State of Texas is stepping up in the federal government’s absence to keep our communities safe,” the governor told the sheriffs. “Our efforts would not be possible without our partnership with local law enforcement. With their support, we are working tirelessly to stop the influx of unlawful immigrants and prevent the smuggling of contraband into the state.”

“But more help is needed, which is why I called for legislation this Special Session to provide more border security funding for law enforcement and counties,” Abbott continued. “This funding will help us better step up to meet this challenge and gives our border communities the resources and support they need. I strongly urge the legislature to take up this issue, and I thank our law enforcement partners for their continued efforts to secure the border.”

Several sheriffs expressed concern regarding challenges facing their jails reaching maximum detention capacity. Abbott offered a potential solution to this issue through the installation of soft-sided facilities to quickly create more detention space. The increase in arrests is the result of heightened law enforcement presence under Operation Lone Star, launched by the Governor in March.

This operation involved the deployment of 1,000 Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers and Texas Army National Guard troops to the border area.

The operation resulted in an increase in arrests of not only narcotics and human traffickers, but also those facing warrants and parole or probation violations.

Abbott promised the attendees his Border Security Project Team would continue to work to meet the demands the crisis is placing on local communities throughout the state.

The following sheriff’s attended the Governors briefing:

  • Sheriff Clint McDonald, Executive Director of the Texas Border Sheriffs Coalition
  • Sheriff Oscar Carrillo, Culberson County
  • Sheriff Brad Coe, Kinney County
  • Sheriff Ray Del Bosque, Zapata County
  • Sheriff Danny Dominguez, Presidio County
  • Deputy Sheriff Hugo Garza, Dimmit County
  • Sheriff Joe Frank Martinez, Val Verde County
  • Sheriff Eusevio Salinas, Zavala County
  • Sheriff Kelly Rowe, Lubbock County
  • Sheriff Roy Boyd, Goliad County
  • Sheriff Emmett Shelton. McMullen County

“Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw, Texas Division of Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd, and Adjutant General of Texas Tracy Norris, joined Governor Abbott in the briefing.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas Cuts ‘New Mother’ Loophole in Immigration Law

An immigrant from El Salvador, seven months pregnant, she said, stands next to a U.S. Border Patrol truck after turning herself in to border agents on December 7, 2015 near Rio Grande City, Texas. Many pregnant women, according to Border Patrol agents, cross illegally into the U.S. late into their …

President Joe Biden’s border chief announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would not detain pregnant and lactating illegal migrants, widening the official effort to abolish ICE enforcement of U.S. immigration law.

Alejandro Mayorkas’s deputies at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) loudly announced the exemption from deportation laws in a Friday statement, which received uncritical coverage from establishment media:

We will not detain individuals known to be pregnant, postpartum or nursing unless release is prohibited by law or exceptional circumstances exist. This reflects our commitment to treat all individuals with respect and dignity.

The policy formally applies to ICE, but “it’s going to be applied across the board [and at the border] because that’s the way this operates,” in Mayorkas’ pro-migration DHS, said Robert Law, who was chief of the Office of Policy and Strategy at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency under President Donald Trump.

“The law requires the detention of adults with pending immigration hearings … So this just creates a carve-out” in the law for more migrants to exploit, said Law, who is the director of regulatory affairs and policy at the Center for Immigration Studies. He told Breitbart News:

The illegal alien population is incredibly rational — they respond to incentives and signals coming out of the administration … every time they [say] “We’re not going to apply the law to this type of population,” all of a sudden that that type of [migrant] population just surges.

For example, after 2010, young migrants started surging through the doorway the 2008 law for “Unaccompanied Alien Children” created. Officials still have no test to verify if a youth migrant has turned 18, so they also admit adult migrants who plausibly claim they are 17 or younger.

In 2019, mothers with children surged through the doorway created by Judge Dolly Gee’s unilateral 2015 expansion of the Flores settlement, Law said. In April, for example, one migrant told a reporter in the United States that he used his 3-year-old-son to get through the Flores doorway; “I had [to] use him like a passport to get here … I am here because of him.”

Once this “new mother” ICE exemption takes effect, rational migrants will claim they are pregnant and dare enforcement officers to conduct pregnancy checks, Law said:

Do you really think that when someone who’s not showing [weight gain] makes that pregnancy claim, [the officers] are going to bring them down to the hospital facility to have a test? No, they’re just going to say “Uh, okay.”

The exemption is open to women with babies that are one year old or even older, and it adds to the rules which direct ICE officers to only enforce immigration laws against violent criminals in the United States.

The announcement was top news at the Spanish-language TV station, Telemundo: “ICE avoids arresting and deporting pregnant women and nursing mothers: Biden overturns a measure introduced by Trump that allowed the deportation of thousands of immigrants and further extends restrictions on federal agents.”

The pregnancy rule will also encourage job-seeking men to enter the United States because it reassures them — and their dollar-counting coyotes — that they can get their pregnant or lactating wives into the United States, he said, adding:

The men just have to hike through the desert or swim across the waterway. Once done, congratulations, you can now raise your family in the United States with no legal channels to be here. We’ve welcomed you in and therefore you’ll take advantage of all over the generosity of this administration and the taxpayer dollars that will basically prop up their [lower income] lives.

Todd Bensman, another expert with the Center for Immigration Studies, reported July 6 from Costa Rica, that migrants are carefully using pregnancies to enter and stay in the United States:

CIS observed many of the Haitian women on the smuggling trail in Costa Rica were in advanced stages of pregnancy, often seven months.

Haitian national Peter Thesaus, 25, who was traveling with a wife and Brazilian-born child to join a relative in Florida, said his 6-month pregnant sister is on the way from Brazil further south. He and his extended family had been living and working comfortably and securely for six years in Brazil, on his job with a local hospital, until Biden’s election prompted his departure.

He admitted that his pregnant sister’s trip was carefully timed so that the child would be born an American. That would help the child qualify for a variety of welfare benefits, of course, but also help anchor the rest of the family and dissuade family-separating deportation.

Officials are allowing more migrants with children to come through the border, despite the official insistence that the border is closed.

The administration — likely Mayorkas — chose to announce the policy to the national media because it wants to advertise the new policy to potential migrants across Central and South America, Law said. He added:

If you want to have that policy in place, you can do so just through guidance to your field officers and that typically doesn’t become public. But you announce this through media channel when you want the word to get out that “If you fall within this new classification, now is your time. Come quickly.”

The goal of announcing it is to entice the movement of those populations. They are the next favorite category that they actually want permanently resettled in the United States, even though they have no permanent legal channel to do so.

For many years, the federal government has operated an unofficial policy of extracting migrants from poor countries to spike the U.S. economy and Wall Street via a brutal Hunger Games obstacle course of cartels, deserts, mountains, and border officers.

That covert policy of inflating the labor supply damages ordinary Americans’ career opportunities, cuts their wages, raises their rents, curbs their productivity, shrinks their political clout, and wrecks their open-minded, equality-promoting civic culture. But it boosts Wall Street’s values.

The DHS press release announcing the new doorway uses the language pushed by Mark Zuckerberg’s network of pro-migration activists: “Biden Administration further illustrates commitment to building a fair, orderly, and humane immigration system.”

Republicans can try to shut the exemption with lawsuits and actions in Congress, Law said. “I think the states are going to have the best likelihood to have standing [to sue],” he said because their state residents will have to pay for the birth and support of children poor migrants import.

Republicans can also fight back in Congress, despite their minority status, because the federal law and public opinion are on their side, he asserted:

They should be throwing as many amendments into the [appropriations] process as possible … You’ve got to fight … If you fail to file these types of amendments, then you’re giving them a pass. If you give them a pass, they feel emboldened and then they’ll take the next step and it will just lead to the further dissolution of our immigration laws and we will have a system that arbitrarily operates based on the whims of the Biden administration.

The nation’s migration system was drafted to help Americans compete for wages in their national labor market, to compete for decent housing in their national housing market, and to gradually improve their society via their citizen-only elections. But Biden’s progressive deputies are hostile to Americans’ use of borders to help govern their society, said Law.

Mayorkas “is completely hostile to Americans, particularly hard-working, blue-collar, working Americans … there’s never been someone with such a level of corruption, disdain for the law, and refusal to adhere to the mission of the department as Mayorkas,” Law said.

For example, on June 9, Mayorkas announced that he is putting the “dignity” of migrants — not of Americans — “foremost in our efforts.”

On the same day, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced that 92,000 Americans died of drugs in 2020 amid unemployment, poverty, and alienation, which is spiked by the migration invited by the Cuban-born Mayorkas.

While Mayorkas puts his “foremost” efforts towards the dignity of migrants, the Associated Press reported June 24 on the continued loss of dignity by some non-immigrant Americans:

ST. LOUIS (AP) — She screamed and cried, banged on the dashboard, begging her husband to drive faster, faster, faster toward her brother lying face-down on his bedroom floor.

Craig Elazer had struggled all his life with anxiety so bad his whole body would shake. But because he was Black, he was seen as unruly, she said, not as a person who needed help. Elazer, 56, had started taking drugs to numb his nerves before he was old enough to drive a car.

Now his sister, Michelle Branch, was speeding toward his apartment in an impoverished, predominantly Black neighborhood in north St. Louis. His family had dreaded the day he would die of an overdose for so long that his mother had paid for his funeral in monthly installments.

She was hysterical by the time she arrived at his apartment. The cousin who found him said he was sorry; Elazer had been alone and dead for hours. They tried to convince her not to go inside, but she wanted to see him.

The established media uncritically covered the new exemption. The New York Times reported:

Under the new policy, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers generally will not detain or arrest people who are pregnant or nursing, or who had a baby within the previous year, according to a draft of the plan shared with The New York Times and a person familiar with the policy. The language in the policy will be gender neutral, acknowledging that transgender men can give birth — another departure from past directives.

Potential migrants will not be able to recognize the life-changing opportunities of the new exemption, according to New York Times reporter Eileen Sullivan. “The new policy will affect only a small number of immigrants.”

The Washington Post said:

Thirteen pregnant women were in ICE custody as of Thursday, and they are being considered for release under the new policy, officials said.

Biden’s DHS has revived the pre-Trump economic strategy of extracting workers, consumers, and renters from other countries for use in the U.S economy. The consumers, renters, and workers are being pulled through the border by DHS officials who are widening a series of small side doors in immigration law.

For example, when illegal migrants are caught near the border, Mayorkas uses his legal authority to send them back to the five-yard line in Mexico instead of flying them 2,000 miles back to Central America.

He is helping economic migrants get jobs by letting them file for political asylum in the United States. He is helping teenage economic migrants walk into jobs via a side door created in 2008 law for victimized children. He is helping older migrants stay in the United States by letting them use the same 2008 law — and refugee rules — to pull their left-behind children up into the United States.

Mayorkas is also using his parole power to invite lawfully deported migrants to rejoin their left-behind migrant children who are applying for asylum. He is using the U Visa program to provide work permits and Social Security Numbers to migrants who say they were victimized by a crime in the United States.

On June 16, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced new asylum rules that will offer citizenship to people who claim they are persecuted by abuse from their spouses.

In April and May, for example, Mayorkas let roughly 170,000 working-age migrants through the U.S.-Mexico border, just as companies complain that they must pay higher wages to Americans.

NAFTA JOE BIDEN HAS BEEN PLANNING THIS INVASION OF 'CHEAP' LABOR FOR 50 YEARS. IT IS ONLY A CONTINUATION OF BARACK OBAMA'S SURRENDER OF OUR BORDERS TO MEXICO.

THESE TWO LAWYERS KNOW MIDDLE AMERICA WILL NOT VOTE FOR THEM AGAIN. THEIR VERY SURVIVAL DEPENDS ON GETTING TENS OF MILIONS OF ILLEGALS INTO THE VOTING BOOTHS, OUR JOBS AND WELFARE LINES.

Mo Brooks: Wage Suppression is ‘#1 Priority of US Chamber of Commerce’

DALLAS, Texas — U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) says Republicans should have a simple position on illegal immigration: stand up for American workers.

“Republicans need to have the courage to stand up for the average American,” Brooks, a candidate for U.S. Senate, told Breitbart News at CPAC Dallas, “and quit catering to entities like the United States Chamber of Commerce who are hellbent on punishing Americans by suppressing their wages and taking jobs from them and handing them over to illegal aliens or lawful visa workers.”

“This is the Number 1 priority of the United States Chamber of Commerce: the suppression of wages, hurting American families and we need Republicans who are willing to stand up to that and do what’s in the best interest of America,” he said.

The Chamber, often derided as an organ of the Republican Party, raised eyebrows in the 2020 election when it endorsed 23 Democrats for reelection, The Hill reported.

In February, Chamber CEO Thomas Donohue praised President Joe Biden’s rollback of a number of President Donald Trump’s immigration policies:

We commend President Biden for taking action to ensure the reunification of separated families, address irregular migration across the Southern Border, and improve the functionality of our nation’s immigration system by conducting a top-to-bottom review of barriers to our legal immigration system. Policies adopted over the past several years have undermined critical employment-based visa programs and significantly hindered many different companies’ ability to expand their domestic operations and create jobs for Americans. President Biden’s order to coordinate immigration policy through the White House and his effort to ensure that legal immigration is fair and efficient are a clear indication of the priority his administration has placed on fixing our broken immigration system. We look forward to working with the Biden Administration to address these critical issues.

Brooks told Breitbart News new people need to be elected to the White House and Congress to fix the problems at the southern border.

“Our elected officials have made a lot of bad decisions and Americans have suffered as a consequence,” he said.

Brooks said roughly 2,000 Americans die each year at the hands of illegal aliens.

“If we had a secure southern border, that’s 2,000 Americans who would be alive each year,” but are not because of the porous border with Mexico. He said another 30,000 Americans die annually from drug overdoses.

“Where is the sympathy?” for them, he wondered.

“If you’re going to be an elected official for Americans, you would think that the lives of Americans would have some degree of priority,” Brooks said.

So far, it does not appear Brooks’s Democrat colleague would agree.

In June, U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX) stood at the southern border and likened it to the port of entry for Europeans a century ago.

“Welcome to El Paso. Welcome to my community, to the new Ellis Island, to the capital of the border,” Escobar told Vice President Kamala Harris during a brief visit.

The "racial wealth gap" narrative obscures reality of class divide in the US

Over the last several years, news of a “racial wealth gap” has flooded America’s airwaves and print media. According to those pushing the concept, white Americans have a great deal more in all respects than black Americans, and that, therefore, race-based remedies tailored to upper income blacks—such as reparations, set-asides, and affirmative action—must be deployed.

Cartel Smugglers Toss Infants, Children into Texas Border River

Border Patrol agents and Coast Guard crews rescued migrants across the Rio Grande Valley Sector after human smugglers put them in jeopardy. In multiple incidents, smugglers moved women, children, and even infants into the river that separates Texas and Mexico. One woman was saved after an alleged sexual assault attempt.

McAllen Station Border Patrol agents encountered a female migrant on Monday evening who ran toward them. The woman told the agents she had just escaped from an attacker, according to information obtained from Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials.

The woman, a Honduran national, had just illegally crossed the border with her husband and a young child, she told the agents. She said the smuggler separated her from her family and told them to hide in a different area. After moving away with the woman, the smuggler forced her to the ground and tore her shirt and pants, officials reported. She began to fight back and eventually escaped and fled to the agents. The agents contacted local law enforcement officials to launch an investigation into the alleged attack. The agents did not find the perpetrator of the assault.

U.S. Coast Guard riverine units patrolling the Rio Grande near Mission, Texas, on Sunday afternoon encountered a raft loaded with nine people, officials stated. The people in the partially deflated raft included a nine-month-old child.

The Coast Guardsmen observed the overloaded raft taking on water and that the migrants had no flotation devices or oars. The migrants called for help and the Coast Guard unit responded by pulling alongside.

The crewmen pulled the nine migrants, including the infant, into their vessel and transported them to the riverbank where Border Patrol agents conducted medical screenings and transported them to the station for processing.

One day earlier, another Coast Guard river patrol working near Penitas, Texas, came upon a group of 20 people attempting to cross the Rio Grande from Mexico. Once again, the raft began to take on water. The two human smugglers abandoned the migrants and swam back to Mexico as the guardsmen approached.

The Coast Guard crew found two more infants among the 20 migrants rescued from the raft. The crew turned the migrants over to McAllen Station Border Patrol agents for processing.

As the Independence Day weekend kicked off on Friday, Kingsville Station Border Patrol agents received an alert from a newly placed rescue beacon located on a ranch near the Javier Vega, Jr. Border Patrol checkpoint. The agents went to the location and found two lost, distressed migrants. The agents transported the two to the Kingsville Border Patrol Station for a medical screening and processing.

In addition to these rescues, agents assigned to the Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint in Brooks County, Texas, found 70 more migrants locked inside a tractor-trailer.

Teen Allegedly Raped and Murdered by Migrants Had 11 Ecstasy Pills in Her System

Austrian 13-year-old Leonie, who was found dead last week, is said to have been given at least 11 ecstasy tablets before she was allegedly raped and murdered by several Afghan migrants.

A full autopsy of the teen is expected in the coming weeks, but already, investigators believe she may have been given a large number of drugs. A coroner has claimed to have seen evidence of violence on the teen’s body, as well.

According to a report from the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung, the coroner noticed fingerprints on the victim’s neck and compression marks on her chest, suggesting someone may have pressed their knee into her.

Police reports have also suggested that the teen may have died of heart failure after being allegedly raped by the four Afghan migrants, one of whom is yet to be apprehended and is subject to an EU-wide arrest warrant.

Investigators say that the 13-year-old met up with two of the suspects, a 16-year-old and a 23-year-old, on June 25th at the Danube canal in Vienna. The pair of migrants allegedly started giving her ecstasy pills while at the canal before bringing her to an apartment in Donaustadt.

The body of the 13-year-old was found near the apartment wrapped in a carpet against a tree. Emergency services attempted to revive the young teen but were not successful. A police dog was later able to lead officers to the apartment, where she is believed to have been murdered.

Days after the discovery of Leonie’s body, three Afghan migrants aged 16, 18, and 23 were arrested, while a 22-year-old fourth suspect is still on the run.

It also emerged that three of the four Afghans had been declined asylum. But due to appeal processes, they were never deported, despite the asylum claim denials occurring as early as 2017 in the case of the wanted 22-year-old.

The fugitive migrant has also been on trial three times for crimes including drug trafficking and bodily injury, all of which occurred after his asylum rejection.

Large Group of Migrant Children Abandoned in Arizona Desert near Border

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 100 migrants in the desert near Sasabe, Arizona. Human smugglers abandoned the group that contained more than 90 unaccompanied minors.

Border Patrol agents patrolling the Arizona border with Mexico near Sasabe encountered a large group of migrants, according to a tweet by Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John Modlin. The group consisted of more than 100 migrants.

Included with the group were more than 90 unaccompanied alien children.

“After crossing the border illegally, they were left in the scorching heat until agents arrived,” Chief Modlin wrote.

Elsewhere in the Tucson Sector, Border Patrol agents arrested a Guatemalan man who illegally crossed the border near Nogales, Arizona. A background check revealed a warrant from an Illinois court for Failure to Appear. The agents turned the man over to the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office for extradition to Illinois.

Human smugglers find many ways to abuse the migrants they are transporting into the U.S. Earlier this week, Chief Modlin tweeted a report of a group of 11 migrants found locked inside a tractor-trailer. The migrants had limited air circulation and no means of escape in the event of a crash or abandonment by the smugglers.
