JOE BIDEN'S ORCHESTRATED IN VASION OF AMERICA - 13K Chinese Migrants Apprehended on U.S.-Mexico Border Since October

When it was announced that Hunter Biden would be quitting the board of a Chinese equity firm, lots of news outlets credulously reported it.

Six months later, records indicate that Hunter has not, in fact, quit.

Schweizer said, “Biden’s lawyer claims that his client did resign, and has produced a document from Hunter’s China-based company saying as much. Maybe. But Hunter’s attorney did not address the more important problem – the fact that Hunter still owns a piece of the Chinese company, called BHR.”

“[BHR] is an investment vehicle, financed by the government of China, which has conducted at least two-point-five billion dollars worth of deals,” added Schweizer, “and Hunter Biden has a ten percent equity piece of that.”

Since the beginning of Fiscal Year 23 on October 1, 2022, Border Patrol agents along the U.S.-Mexico border apprehended nearly 13,000 Chinese migrants. The number represents a more than 1,000 percent increase in migrants from the communist regime when compared to the previous year’s totals.

Nearly 13,000 migrants from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) have been apprehended along the U.S. Southwest border with Mexico this fiscal year, according to a CBP source not authorized to speak to the media. Approximately 84 percent of the migrants from the PRC are single adults. After processing by the Border Patrol, most are released to pursue asylum claims in the United States.

The source says the agency is baffled by the increase as intelligence debriefings yield little information about the migrants and their purpose for entering. The language barrier is proving to be a challenge according to the source.

“Having to use third-party translation services, Border Patrol agents and intelligence officers who are already struggling to cope with thousands of migrant apprehensions daily, are getting limited intelligence information from the migrants,” the source told Breitbart Texas.

Breitbart Texas also spoke with Dr. Kenneth Allard, a retired Army Colonel and former Dean of Students at the National War College. As an author of several works including Warheads: Cable News and the Fog of War, a former intelligence officer, and special assistant to the Army Chief of Staff, Allard is also concerned with the lack of intelligence regarding the spike in migrant apprehension of citizens from the People’s Republic of China.

Allard says the fact may be that most of the migrants from the PRC are in fact dissidents fleeing poor conditions in China. But as an expert on totalitarian regimes, he believes the current administration lacks the willpower to properly investigate the phenomenon.

“Totalitarian governments like China are great exploiters of opportunity,” Dr. Allard told Breitbart. “They recognize weakness and capitalize on it immediately. What we are seeing reflects a deliberate policy choice by the regime.”

When asked about the potential for China to take advantage of the current crisis along the southern border, Allard says the regime most certainly recognizes the weakness President Biden has exhibited on the international stage, adding “its obvious he is not entirely in control at present, China realizes that as well.”

What little information that is retrieved from the migrants would indicate most are fleeing the repressive regime due to the aftereffects of the extreme COVID-19 lockdowns imposed by Xi Jinping’s government. Another reason cited by the migrants is the negative economic effects of China’s strict COVID-19 policies regarding the exportation and importation of goods.

Lacking definitive answers, some have speculated the opening of China’s ports after the COVID-19 lockdowns ended is a predominant factor in the exodus of Chinese nationals. An analysis of the timeline of significant world events, however, does not altogether align with the theory. It may be true that most of the migrants who form part of the increased number arriving at the border are in fact dissidents who are weary of the Chinese system of government, the PRC’s dismal record on human rights, or the harsh controls on the use of the internet and social media inside the regime, but with worsening relations between the United States and the government of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the exponential increase in arriving migrants from China should not be ignored.

China opened its ports and loosened travel restrictions for tourists in January 2023 after a three-year closure. That move was more than eight months after the first notable doubling of Chinese migrant arrivals along the southwest border. In April 2022, migrant apprehensions for nationals of the People’s Republic of China rose by nearly 100% from 74 apprehensions in March to 146. The number has continued to double almost every three months until reaching more than 1,000 apprehensions at the time of the re-opening of Chinese ports in January.

Despite the re-opening of its ports, China, through the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, still exerts strict exit and entry controls that apply to all travelers including its own citizens.

When further analyzing the timeline of significant events in relation to the notable increase in migrant flow from the PRC to the United States, several newsworthy occurrences were closer to the start of the increase than China’s border opening.

In February 2022, the Department of Justice announced the abandonment of the Trump-era China Initiative. Developed as a counter to Chinese national security threats, FBI Director Christopher Wray issued the following statement concerning the implementation of the initiative, “No country presents a broader, more severe threat to our ideas, our innovation, and our economic security than China.”

The agreement faced criticism of anti-Asian bias and, when announcing the departure from the initiative, Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen of the DOJ’s National Security Division stated:

To be clear, we are focused on the actions of the PRC government, the Chinese Communist Party, and their agents — not the Chinese people or those of Chinese descent. As we talk about the threats that the PRC government poses to the United States, we must never lose sight of that fundamental distinction. We must always be vigilant to ensure that no one is treated differently based on race, ethnicity, familial ties, or national origin. This is a foundational commitment of the Department of Justice.

In the announcement, Olsen pledged to maintain a vigilant watch over actions carried out on behalf of the PRC that could negatively impact national security. Within two months, the initial doubling of migrant apprehensions from the PRC appeared at the southwest border.

In August 2022, a visit to Taiwan by then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sparked outrage and swift condemnation from Beijing. The visit was viewed as an escalation towards China due to Pelosi’s high rank within the US Government. Soon afterward, China announced it would halt cooperation with the United States regarding anti-narcotics, climate change, and a host of other issues. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a chilling warning in response to the visit stating, “These moves, like playing with fire, are extremely dangerous. Those who play with fire will perish by it.”

Within a month of the visit, migrant apprehensions along the southwest border had risen by nearly 432% from 74 apprehensions in the March 2022 baseline to 392 in September.

By January 2023, when China opened its ports of entry after three years of COVID-19 closure, the Border Patrol’s migrant apprehensions of Chinese nationals had risen to 1,076 — an increase of more than 1,300 percent over the baseline of 74 in March 2022.

The January apprehension numbers would soon double once again, coinciding with the Chinese Spy Balloon incident that occurred in late January and concluded on February 4, 2023, when the Pentagon destroyed the craft over water off the coast of South Carolina. Again, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs was quick to condemn the United States for its actions regarding the incident.

“China strongly disapproves of and protests the US attack on a civilian unmanned airship by force,” officials stated. “The Chinese side has, after verification, repeatedly informed the (U.S.) side of the civilian nature of the airship and conveyed that its entry into the (U.S.) due to force majeure was totally unexpected.”

One news report alleges the balloon was able to gather sensitive military intelligence as it traversed the country. The report cited three unnamed U.S. government officials who alleged the balloon was able to fly controlled patterns as it gathered electronic signals.

By March, less than 60 days after the incident, a spike in migrant arrivals from the PRC occurred jumping from 1,076 in January to 2,265 — an increase of more than 100 percent.

By April, an additional increase of 41 percent in PRC migrant apprehensions along the Southwest border brought the total monthly apprehensions to 3,195, according to Customs and Border Protection reports.

The travel route for most Chinese migrants is costly and arduous, according to the CBP source. The journey to the United States in most cases involves traveling from Hong Kong to Turkey and on to Ecuador. Ecuador is a common point along the route as Chinese nationals are not required to possess a visa to enter the Latin American country.

The migrants, according to the source, move through Panama’s Darien Gap before traversing through Central America, into Mexico, and on to the United States’ southern border. As reported by Breitbart Texas, the smuggling fees have been revealed to be as high as $55,000 to reach the U.S./Mexico Border from the People’s Republic of China.

Biden Admin Won't Enforce Its Own Ban on Chips Made in China: Report

The Biden administration is backing down from its stated goal of curtailing the expansion of semiconductor manufacturing in China.

Chip manufacturers from South Korea and Taiwan, two of America’s most important allies in the region, will not be sanctioned for investing billions of dollars in building new semiconductor plants and expanding existing ones in China, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Initially, the Biden administration had provided a one-year exemption to its policy restricting Asian firms from investing in China. Following pressure from manufacturers, however, the administration plans to extend that exemption for another year, according to remarks by under secretary of commerce for industry and security Alan Estevez.

Security experts have argued that the expansion of semiconductor manufacturing in China undercuts American national security interests, allowing the Chinese to develop advanced weapons systems. South Korea and Taiwan are largely reliant on the United States for security, though they also have substantial economic ties to China.

America has leverage over Taiwanese and South Korean manufacturers, as their operations rely on goods produced by American firms. Pressure from business interests, as well as European and Asian governments, however, appears to have caused the Biden administration to retreat in its efforts to limit Chinese access to semiconductor technology and manufacturing capacity.

Derek Scissors, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, told WSJ that allowing a small number of companies to do as they please makes it difficult for the Biden administration to prevent China from growing its semiconductor industry. Scissors went on to say the United States looks "very weak" as a result of its inability to exert influence.

PARASITE GAMER LAWYER OR JUST A TRAITOR WHO SHOULD BE TRIED AND EXECUTED?

Instead, the Biden family name has really stood for only two things: buffoonery and corruption.  For fifty years, Joe Biden has managed to hold onto some slice of power in D.C. as a senator, vice president, and Oval Office stooge not because he is renowned for his erudition or virtue but rather because his doltish behavior and venal character make him ideal for others to control.  Perhaps no other Washington relic has accomplished so little for the American people over such a prolonged government career or managed to harness those defects for lucrative advancement more successfully than China Joe

THE BIDEN KLEPTOCRACY

American people deserve to know what China was up to with Joe Biden, especially when Beijing had already shelled out millions of dollars to Biden family members — including millions in set-asides for “the big guy.” What else is on that infamous Hunter Biden laptop? The conflicted Biden Justice Department cannot be trusted to engage in any meaningful oversight on this issue. We need a special counsel now.

Marc Andreessen: AI ‘Doomers’ Are Misguided, China Is the Real Threat

In a recent essay, renowned venture capitalist Marc Andreessen has dismissed the widespread fear of artificial intelligence as a potential existential threat to humanity, instead pointing to China’s rapid AI development as the real concern.

CNBC reports that Marc Andreessen, a renowned venture capitalist, recently published a comprehensive essay in which he dispelled the widespread belief that artificial intelligence poses an existential threat to humanity, which he calls a “wall of fear-mongering and doomerism,” and instead emphasized China’s explosive AI development as the real cause for concern.

A partner at Andreessen Horowitz, Andreessen is well-known for his audacious claim that “software is eating the world.” In his most recent letter, he applies this viewpoint to AI, advising creators to “stop worrying and build, build, build.”

OpenAI founder Sam Altman, creator of ChatGPT

Andreessen stated that AI isn’t sentient, despite the fact that its ability to mimic human language can understandably fool some into believing otherwise. “AI doesn’t want, it doesn’t have goals, it doesn’t want to kill you, because it’s not alive. And AI is a machine – is not going to come alive any more than your toaster will.”

Andreessen’s remarks come in response to an increasing number of tech industry leaders who have voiced their concerns regarding the potential risks posed by AI. He suggests that these leaders are motivated by financial interests, as they “stand to make more money if regulatory barriers are erected that form a cartel of government-blessed AI vendors protected from new startup and open source competition.”

The venture capitalist complains that attention is being diverted from the current harms that some algorithms can cause in real life by focusing on potential future threats posed by AI. However, Andreessen paints a more upbeat picture of AI’s potential rather than acknowledging these known risks.

AI could be “a way to make everything we care about better,” he wrote. “Anything that people do with their natural intelligence today can be done much better with AI. And we will be able to take on new challenges that have been impossible to tackle without AI, from curing all diseases to achieving interstellar travel.”

Andreessen argues that AI companies and startups should be allowed to develop AI as quickly and aggressively as they can, calling for a return to the “move fast and break things” mentality of the tech industry. He also suggests using AI itself to shield people from bias and negative effects.

Andreessen names China as the real threat due to its rapid advancement of AI and worrisome authoritarian applications. He puts forth a vigorous plan for the advancement of AI that involves major tech firms, startups, the private sector, the scientific community, and governments.

“We should drive AI into our economy and society as fast and hard as we possibly can,” Andreessen wrote, emphasizing the need to counter China’s AI influence.

Andreessen has a positive outlook, but his predictions haven’t always come true. Shortly before the industry started to decline, his company launched a $2.2 billion crypto fund. During the pandemic, one of its key investments was in the social audio startup Clubhouse, which has since been forced to lay off half of its staff.

In conclusion, Andreessen expressed his unwavering support for those working on AI, stating, “They are heroes, every one. My firm and I are thrilled to back as many of them as we can, and we will stand alongside them and their work 100%.”

Saudi Energy Minister Post-Blinken Visit: I’m ‘Ignoring’ U.S. Concerns About China Ties

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman told reporters on Sunday that he “ignore[s]” concerns about growing friendship between Riyadh and Beijing, much of it coming from the United States, because too much “opportunity” exists for growth between the two countries.

The energy minister was discussing China-Saudi ties at the Arab-China Business Conference in Riyadh on Sunday, an event the Saudi government touted as bringing together thousands of political and business elites and resulting in “$10 billion in investment agreements,” most of them involving Saudi projects. The conference follows a visit by genocidal Chinese dictator Xi Jinping to the country in December, which culminated in the signing of deals worth nearly $30 billion, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The conference occurred shortly after American Secretary of State Antony Blinken departed the Saudi city of Jeddah after meetings with high-level officials, including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Prior to his arrival, Reuters described addressing the growing relationship between the Saudi government and communist China as “probably the most important element of Blinken’s visit,” but neither Washington nor Riyadh mentioned China in its statements on the visit.

Growing business and political ties between Saudi Arabia and China appear to be developing at the expense of the longstanding Saudi alliance with the United States. Under left-wing President Joe Biden, who vowed as a candidate to turn the country into an international “pariah” while running for president in 2020, America has lost significant influence with the Saudi government, prompting the Saudis to take multiple measures in the past year that damage American interests, including pushing for multiple oil production cuts within the oil cartel OPEC+ and restoring diplomatic ties with state sponsor of terrorism, Iran. Notably, the groundbreaking Iran-Saudi deal was brokered in Beijing.

The Saudi government has disregarded its role as the custodian of the holiest sites in Islam, and thus a leader in the Islamic world, in its negotiations with China. China is currently engaging in a genocide of indigenous Muslim communities in occupied East Turkistan, forcing millions into concentration camps and engaging in forced sterilization, gang rape, and slavery. Riyadh has not only failed to condemn the genocide, but actively supports it as an “anti-terrorism” operation.

Saudi Arabia warmly welcomed one of the world’s most anti-American leaders, Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro, the day before it welcomed Blinken.

Prince Abdulaziz told reporters during the conference on Sunday that the Saudi government has no interest in “competing” with communist China.

“Oil demand in China is still growing so of course we have to capture some of that demand,” Reuters quoted the prince as saying. “Instead of competing with China, collaborate with China.”

On Western concerns regarding Saudi Arabia’s growing role in China’s diplomatic orbit – and its granting of increasing geopolitcal influence in the Middle East to the Communist Party – Prince Abdulaziz said he simply disregards them.
“I actually ignore it because … as a business person .. now you will go where opportunity comes your way,” the energy minister said, according to Reuters. “We don’t have to be facing any choice which has to do with (saying) either with us or with the others.”

The regional outlet Arab News reported the energy minister as describing parallels between the future goals of both China and Saudi Arabia, in particular the potential “synergy” between the Saudi Vision 2030 program – a holistic plan to diversify the Saudi economy away from oil and modernize its culture – and the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a global debt-trap plan that claims to intend to build and renovate the world’s transportation infrastructure. China granted Saudi Arabia a role in the BRI – as a predator country offering to build prohibitively expensive projects in poor countries, not as a target nation – during Xi’s trip to the country in December.

“We do not have to be in a place where we set ourselves in competition with China. We have to set ourselves in a place where we collaborate with China,” the outlet quoted him as saying. “There are so many things that we want to do with them (China), but equally, they want to do with us. There is a great deal of synergies between the two countries.”

The Chinese Global Times newspaper, a government publication, described several of the deals brokered at this weekend’s conference as BRI agreeements.

“The agenda includes sessions and discussions that range from investment in the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), clean energy cooperation and the oil and gas supply chain, to tourism and entertainment sectors as well as financing and investment opportunities in the capital markets,” the Global Times relayed. “Under the BRI framework, the two sides have had robust cooperation, which has boosted their development and rejuvenation, according to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah similarly touted long-term cooperation between the Islamist theocracy and the communist Asian state in his opening remarks for the business conference on Sunday.

“The conference is an opportunity to strengthen and consolidate the historical Arab-Chinese friendship, build a common future that takes us on a new era that will benefit peoples and maintain peace and development in the world,” the foreign minister said.

The SPA noted in its coverage of his speech that China is both Saudi Arabia’s largest trade partner and that of the other Arab states.

“The minister further stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia makes up 25% of the total volume of trade exchange between China and Arab countries, which reached $106.1 billion in 2022, a 30% increase over 2021,” the SPA added.

Joe Biden Helps Expand Semiconductor Manufacturing — in China

President Joe Biden is greenlighting South Korean and Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturers to continue expanding their operations in China thanks to exemptions rewarded to various companies by the administration.

Late last year, the Biden administration issued prohibitions on semiconductor chip exports to China, among other tech exports. The rules were designed to cut off exports of chips to China, which the communist country is reliant on, by United States companies and multinational corporations that use U.S. technology.

One-year exemptions, though, were given to some manufacturers — including Samsung, Taiwan Semiconductor, and SK Hynix — which allowed them to continue expanding semiconductor operations throughout China.

On Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Biden officials have confirmed to industry insiders that those exemptions, set to expire in a few months, will be extended so as to ensure that semiconductor manufacturers can keep growing chip production in China.

The Journal reported:

Those exemptions were set to expire in October. Estevez told a meeting of the Semiconductor Industry Association, a trade group, that the exemptions would be renewed for the foreseeable future, according to the attendees. The Commerce Department declined to comment. [Emphasis added]

The move to extend the exemptions, rather than winding them down, amounts to a recognition by U.S. authorities that efforts to isolate China from high-tech goods are more difficult than anticipated in a highly integrated global industry, according to industry executives. It also comes as some foreign businesses bristle at Washington’s expanding interference in their operations.
[Emphasis added]

The extension of rule exemptions for some multinational corporations comes as Biden, as well as his top agency officials, has made clear that his administration is not interested in decoupling from China.

“We’re not looking to decouple from China, we’re looking to de-risk and diversify our relationship with China,” Biden said last month at the G7 Summit. “That means taking steps to diversify our supply chains, and we’re not — so we’re not dependent on any one country for necessary product.”

Likewise, in April, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the U.S. decoupling from China would be “disastrous” and “destabilizing” for the world.

“As I’ve said, the United States will assert ourselves when our vital interests are at stake,” Yellen said. “But we do not seek to ‘decouple’ our economy from China’s. A full separation of our economies would be disastrous for both countries.”

Sen. Marco Rubio: Fashion Retailer Shein ‘Exploits U.S. Trade Law and Uses Fabric Linked to Uyghur Slave Labor’

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) sent a letter to fellow lawmakers on Thursday encouraging congressional efforts to implement American anti-slavery laws against Shein, a Chinese “fast fashion” company that “steals intellectual property, infringes copyrights, exploits U.S. trade law, and uses fabric linked to Uyghur slave labor.”

Shein is an online retailer that sells clothing primarily targeted toward young female consumers at extremely cheap prices. Recent reports estimate the company to be worth $66 billion, and it dominates the American “fast fashion” market, representing about half of all sales in that sector in America, according to recent remarks at a hearing held by the Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC).

The company has faced a barrage of criticism and outrage, from accusations by the Mexican government of stealing traditional Mayan designs to accusations of using Uyghur slaves in its supply chains.

Following the implementation of the Uyghur Forced Labor Protection Act (UFLPA) last year, authored by Sen. Rubio, companies importing products into America are forbidden from importing items from occupied East Turkistan, the indigenous territory of the Uyghur people, on the grounds that all items from East Turkistan are presumed to have been produced by slave labor. Companies can override the ban by offering definitive proof of the integrity of their supply chains.

Customs inspections for items from East Turkistan do not apply to packages worth less than $800, known as de minimis shipments. As Shein sells directly to consumers, most of its packages fall far under that limit and escape inspection. The average Shein package is worth $11.

“A strategy for circumventing enforcement of the UFLPA might be to break up a shipment that is clearly subject to all reporting requirements into multiple de minimis packages. And companies are doing just that,” Anasuya Syam, the human rights and trade policy director for the Human Trafficking Legal Center, told Congress in April.

“On November 20, 2022, Bloomberg reported that Xinjiang [East Turkistan] cotton was found in apparel shipped by fast fashion giant Shein to U.S. consumers, based on the results of a laboratory test.”

In the face of growing scrutiny, Shein has launched a public relations campaign that hired high-powered Washington lobbyists to ingratiate itself with the American public and American politicians. Sen. Rubio wrote to his colleagues in anticipation of this campaign.

“Shein is hiring D.C. lobbyists to protect the trade loopholes that allow it to avoid accountability. No one should be fooled by Shein’s efforts to cover its tracks,” the senator wrote.

Noting that Shein dominates competition through low prices and the sheer variety of its inventory, Sen. Rubio remarked, “Shein is able to offer this array of products at rock-bottom prices not because of any particular competitive advantage, but because it steals intellectual property, infringes copyrights, exploits U.S. trade law, and uses fabric linked to Uyghur slave labor.”

The senator noted reports that independent testing on Shein cotton products found cotton from East Turkistan, where China uses Uyghur slaves to pick cotton. Despite this, American customs officials rarely, if ever, block Shein shipments because they are so low in value.

“Shein ships small packages direct-to-consumer using a trade loophole known as de minimis entry. Shein abuses this entry category to avoid customs duties and inspections on its unethically produced products,” Sen. Rubio wrote. “Shein’s exploitation of de minimis entry prevents scrutiny under UFLPA, cheats taxpayers of customs revenue, and undercuts American competitors that play by the rules.”

He continued:

Shein knows its reputation is toxic, so now it is taking steps to clean up its image ahead of a potential initial public offering in the United States. It hired lobbyists from the firms Akin Gump and Hobart Hallaway and Quayle to protect its tax and trade loopholes. It relocated its headquarters from China to Singapore to escape scrutiny as a Chinese company, although its fabrics and garments are still made in China.

“Shein is even touting its own ‘third-party analyses,’ which found that only some of its cotton comes from Xinjiang,” he wrote. “This study amounts to an admission of guilt, yet incredibly, Shein presents it as evidence of good corporate citizenship.”

Sen. Rubio concluded in a call to other senators to help “urgent efforts to hold accountable Shein and other companies that are complicit in genocide.”

China is currently engaging in a campaign of genocide against Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz people, and other Turkic minorities in occupied East Turkistan, in addition to implementing ethnic cleansing policies in occupied Tibet and Inner Mongolia. As part of this campaign, the Communist Party imprisoned as many as three million people in concentration camps, a process believed to have begun in 2017. Survivors of the camps have testified to being subject to a wide variety of atrocities, including forced sterilization, beatings, communist indoctrination, gang rape, rape using electric devices, and witnessing rape, killings, and infanticide. Many have denounced Beijing for subjecting them to slavery.

Watch: Uyghur Muslims Protest Against the Chinese Government

Penny Starr / Breitbart News

The Chinese government allows the open sale of Uyghur slaves on its highly regulated internet in “batches of 50 to 100 people.” Human rights groups have documented some ending up working in factories nationwide; many stay in East Turkistan, forced to pick cotton. According to the 2020 Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) report Uyghurs for Sale, suppliers across China use Uyghur slaves to manufacture items in the supply chains of at least 83 internationally known companies, including Nike, Nintendo, BMW, and Apple.

While Beijing denies the genocide in general and enslaving Uyghurs in particular, the Communist Party does concede that the concentration camps, which it dubbed “vocational and education training centers,” did put people to work. Chinese officials claim the objective of the concentration camps was to give Uyghurs job skills that would give them an advantage in the modern Chinese economy.

The Chinese Communist Party’s denials have done little to ease concerns about the Uyghur genocide in the face of extensive evidence of ongoing abuses. Ongoing calls to regulate companies such as Shein to protect American consumers from buying slave-made products are likely behind Shein’s new charm offensive, which, as Sen. Rubio noted, featured testing of its cotton products that actually found East Turkistani cotton in its garments.

According to Politico, Shein hired Oritain, the industry standard in fabric DNA testing, to identify the origin of its cotton products. Oritain found East Turkistani cotton but said the company largely complies with responsible cotton sourcing given the small amount of its cotton that tested positive for originating in East Turkistan. Shein claims only four percent of its inventory sold in America is made of cotton, and most of its clothing is made with synthetic fabrics, which companies like Oritain cannot analyze as accurately.

Politico noted Shein denied that its synthetic fabrics come from East Turkistan, which is irrelevant given abundant reporting that China sells Uyghur slaves online to factories around the country.

Shein also published a corporate roadmap, titled “EvoluSHEIN,” in June “dedicated to creating opportunities for all stakeholders to access their full potential, anchored in integrity, inclusivity and respect for all.”

The roadmap heavily focuses on environmental concerns, from the mass production of synthetic material to “equitable empowerment” for consumers.

Facing Chemo Shortage, Biden Admin Taps Chinese Company That Made Drugs With Toxic Sludge

Supply chain snafu threatens to derail Biden's pledge to 'end cancer as we know it'

June 7, 2023

The Biden administration has outsourced production of cancer drugs to a Chinese pharmaceutical giant that was once investigated for using a toxic sludge called gutter oil to make antibiotics.

The Food and Drug Administration announced last week it will purchase the chemotherapy drug cisplatin from China's Qilu Pharmaceutical in a bid to alleviate what one expert called "one of the worst chemotherapy drug shortages in history." Chinese authorities investigated Qilu, one of the country's largest drugmakers, in 2012 for using discarded cooking oil from restaurants to make antibiotics. The FDA has not approved cisplatin for use in the United States but has granted a temporary waiver to combat a chemotherapy supply chain crisis that has caused widespread delays in treatment for lung, cervical, and other cancers.

The supply chain snafu threatens to derail President Joe Biden's pledge to "end cancer as we know it." Congress has appropriated $1.8 billion since then-vice president Biden launched his "Cancer Moonshot" in 2016. The president in 2022 "reignited" the moonshot and this March asked Congress for an additional $2.8 billion in funding. Researchers say a cure for cancer is still far off.

American lawmakers and medical experts have long called for the FDA to investigate foreign suppliers of raw materials for drugs. Investigative journalist Katherine Eban told the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission in 2019 that China remains "a continuing source of adulterated drug products" and that the FDA has "found widespread fraud and manipulation of quality data in Chinese manufacturing plants." Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) in 2019 called on the FDA to ramp up its inspections of overseas drug manufacturers that produce materials for American pharmaceuticals. Grassley noted that 80 percent of raw materials used in American drugs come from China and India.

Gutter oil, which is considered highly toxic and contains carcinogens, has been widely used in China's restaurants and food manufacturers for decades as an alternative to more expensive cooking oils. Qilu accepted responsibility for using gutter oil in its drugs but claimed it was unaware of the ingredients used by its suppliers.

The gutter oil scandal was part of a broader pattern of Chinese drugmakers using "cut-rate practices" to manufacture drugs, drug industry trade publication Fierce Pharma said at the time.

Chinese drugmakers have been at the center of several high-profile tainting scandals. Eighty-one Americans died in 2008 after taking the heart drug heparin, which was supplied by a Chinese company that used contaminated raw materials derived from pigs. And in 2018, the FDA recalled the Chinese-made valsartan, a blood pressure drug found to contain carcinogenic materials.

The FDA and Qilu did not respond to requests for comment. But FDA chief Robert Califf said last week, after the Qilu partnership was announced, that the agency will "very carefully assess product quality" and require its partners to "ensure the products are safe for patients."

Biden's Energy Department Counts Chinese Solar Industry Rep as Diversity 'Ambassador'

Abigail Hopper's trade association includes Chinese solar companies tied to slave labor

President Joe Biden and Chinese president Xi Jinping
June 8, 2023

President Joe Biden's Energy Department counts as a diversity "ambassador" the head of a trade group that represents Chinese solar companies, including one that allegedly accepted slave laborers from the communist nation's government.

The Energy Department on its website lists Solar Energy Industries Association president and CEO Abby Hopper as one of its "Equity in Energy" ambassadors. The initiative, hosted under the department's "economic impact and diversity" office, "is designed to expand the inclusion and participation of individuals in underserved communities, such as minorities, women, veterans, and formerly incarcerated persons, in all the programs of the Department of Energy."

Hopper's association, however, includes members that are not exactly known for celebrating minorities. China's top solar companies, including JinkoSolar, are Solar Energy Industries Association members. Consulting firm Horizon Advisory last year identified JinkoSolar as one of many Chinese solar giants that appear to have partnered with the communist nation's government to receive slave laborers in Xinjiang, where more than one million Uyghur Muslims are held in concentration camps. JinkoSolar, in one case, received state subsidies for employing dozens of what the Chinese government called "poor workers in southern Xinjiang," according to the report.

The association has distanced itself from its members' work in Xinjiang by citing its "Solar Industry Forced Labor Prevention Pledge," which calls on signatories to "commit to helping ensure that the solar supply chain is free of forced labor." JinkoSolar  signed the pledge by February 2021, despite its Xinjiang subsidiary allegedly using forced labor. Still, the company remains a Solar Energy Industries Association member and is listed on the association's most recent forced labor prevention pledge.

Daniel Turner, founder and executive director of energy advocacy group Power the Future, hammered Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm for Hopper's status as a department ambassador.

"I would assume the main reason why Granholm is okay with that is because it's not her family that's locked in a prison camp making solar panels for 20 hours a day," Turner told the Washington Free Beacon. "Instead, the Biden administration is the beneficiary of it. Whether it's China or cobalt mines in sub-Saharan Africa, they need it for solar and electric vehicles."

The Energy Department did not return a request for comment. Solar Energy Industries Association senior communications director Jen Bristol told the Free Beacon that Hopper's status as a Biden administration ambassador "has absolutely nothing to do" with the group's work for Chinese companies, even though the Energy Department's "Equity in Energy" site says Hopper "oversees all of SEIA's activities." Bristol went on to tout the association's work "in the environmental justice space" to make workplaces "more inclusive" and distance itself from the group's Chinese partners.

"SEIA represents the American solar and storage industry and American companies and workers, full stop," Bristol said. "To suggest otherwise is a gross misrepresentation of SEIA's work." Bristol's statement omits the fact that the association represents the U.S. subsidiaries of China's top solar producers, and those companies are forthcoming about their Chinese status—even on their American websites.

JinkoSolar, for example, boasts of its inclusion on the Forbes 2023 "Top 50 Sustainable Companies in China" list. Another association member, LONGi Solar, lists its revenue in Chinese yuan and notes the company "is named after the former president of Lanzhou University." A third member, Trina Solar, touts its status as "one of the first PV enterprises in China" that "reached a new milestone in 2020 when it was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange."

In addition to its decision to continue representing Chinese entities operating in Xinjiang, the Solar Energy Industries Association has aggressively lobbied against U.S. tariffs targeting Chinese solar companies that violate American trade rules.

Earlier this month, Hopper scrambled to oppose tariffs on Chinese solar companies operating out of Southeast Asia, a move those companies hoped would allow them to circumvent Obama-era duties levied on China for providing illegal subsidies to its solar industry. While Biden's Commerce Department identified Trina Solar as one of the Chinese companies guilty of illegally circumventing U.S. tariffs, Hopper argued that the Solar Energy Industries Association member should not face penalties, which she said would decimate the American solar market.

"The United States cannot produce enough solar panels and cells to meet demand," Hopper admitted in a statement.

Thankfully for Hopper's association, Biden went on to veto a bipartisan measure to restore tariffs on Trina Solar and other Chinese companies, a decision Hopper said "protects America's clean energy economy." Hopper, however, did not disclose in that comment the association's work advocating on behalf of Trina Solar and other Chinese solar companies.

The Solar Energy Industries Association did not return questions on whether it has considered cutting ties with its Chinese partners. Bristol told the Free Beacon the group has been "crystal clear that forced labor has zero place in the solar supply chain."

"SEIA has been vigorously fighting against forced labor practices in the solar supply chain since reports first surfaced," Bristol said.

China Seeks to Criminalize Hong Kong Pro-Democracy Protest Song

HONG KONG, CHINA - SEPTEMBER 12: A protester holds his hand against his chest as he sings the Glory to Hong Kong protest "anthem" during a demonstration in Times Square shopping mall on September 12, 2019 in Hong Kong, China. Hong Kong’s Beijing-controlled government sought a court injunction Monday against the song “Glory to Hong Kong,” which became the anthem of the massive 2019 pro-democracy movement.

China illegally imposed a tyrannical “national security law” on semi-autonomous Hong Kong in 2020 to crush the movement and is now using that law to ban the protest song as inherently seditious.

The Hong Kong Department of Justice said it applied for a court order against the song on Monday because it supposedly calls for “secession” from Communist China. The filing asserted that the continuing popularity of the short and perky protest song over the dreary Communist anthem “March of the Volunteers” was an “insult” to the regime in Beijing.

The government wants Hong Kong’s High Court to prohibit those with “criminal intent” from “broadcasting, performing, printing, publishing, selling, offering for sale, distributing, disseminating, displaying or reproducing in any way” the forbidden song.

China’s state-run Global Times quoted “Chinese experts” who hyperventilated about the urgent need to defend Beijing’s honor by obliterating “Glory to Hong Kong,” or else foreigners might keep using it as the Chinese national anthem:

“The HKSAR [Hong Kong Special Administrative Region] government now has conveyed a clear message, any distribution or promulgation of the song will be a criminal offense. This is an essential act to restore and secure the dignity of the National Anthem,” Chu Kar-kin, a veteran current affairs commentator based in Hong Kong and a member of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macao Studies, told the Global Times on Tuesday.

Anyone who deliberately facilitates the wrongful act is now liable. Representatives from Hong Kong who participate in those events should be cautious to prevent embarrassment and liability, Chu said.

The purpose of the HKSAR government applying for the injunction is to restrain anyone from disseminating or performing the song, with the intention of inciting others to commit secession, or with a seditious intent, the HKSAR government said.

The requested court order would prohibit any playing of “Glory to Hong Kong” that might be “mistaken as the national anthem” or suggest Hong Kong is “an independent state and has a national anthem of her own.”

The Hong Kong filing included 32 versions of the song in various languages and demanded all of them be criminalized, along with every other version anyone ever creates, and also demanded criminal penalties for “helping or knowingly allowing others” to spread the tune.

The lyrics of “Glory to Hong Kong” urge the people of the region to resist becoming “slaves” and fight with “valor and wisdom” to defend their freedom.

A line from the song “Revolution of Our Times” became the slogan of the 2019 democracy uprising.

The Hong Kong government outlawed that slogan in June 2020, but democracy activists found clever ways to keep using it, including simply waving blank sheets of paper and inviting observers to imagine “Revolution of Our Times” was written there — a tactic later embraced by the anti-lockdown protests of November 2022 in China.

During the 2019 protests, crowds gathered to sing “Glory to Hong Kong,” often while raising their hands with five fingers outstretched — a protest salute that evoked the “Five Demands” made by the movement.

Beijing’s puppet government in Hong Kong began trying to quash the song as soon as the “national security law” was in place. A young street musician named Oliver Ma was arrested in May 2021 for merely adding the popular song to his rotation during a non-political performance, as he had been doing for months beforehand.

The police claimed they arrested the busker for causing “disorder in a public place.” Later, they tried charging Ma with violating coronavirus social distancing rules but then gave up on persecuting him, as he was acquitted in May 2023.

“Would I be performing the song again? At this time, probably not. But it was really nice to have had a chance to sing it,” Ma said upon his acquittal, neatly demonstrating how quasi-legal tyranny works.

The Hong Kong Free Press (HKFP) on Wednesday suggested the fruitless prosecution of Ma, and another recently flubbed court case against someone who played “Glory to Hong Kong” as the national anthem at a sporting event, were major reasons why the Hong Kong government decided to seek a total censorship injunction against the song.

In November 2022, the Hong Kong government furiously demanded an apology when a South Korean rugby tournament played “Glory to Hong Kong” instead of the Chinese national anthem. One of Beijing’s stooges in the Hong Kong legislature, Junius Ho, demanded the dissolution of the entire rugby team because the players stood quietly while the anthem was played. Hong Kong police investigated the incident as an act of espionage, even though the tournament organizers said playing the protest song was a simple mistake.

The Hong Kong government pressured Google in December 2022 to manipulate search results to hide “Glory to Hong Kong” after it was played at another sporting event. Hong Kong officials furiously denounced Google for refusing the demand.

Chinese officials often claim “Glory to Hong Kong” keeps getting played at foreign events as the Chinese national anthem because it comes up in search results first. Google noted that might be because Internet users not trapped in the fetid backwater of China’s heavily-censored Internet tend to search for the famous protest anthem more often than they look for the plodding “March of the Volunteers.”

In a detail that will be depressingly familiar to free speech defenders around the world, the Hong Kong puppet government claimed it fully “respects and values the rights and freedoms protected by the Basic Law” — the rights, including free speech, supposedly guaranteed for Hong Kongers after the United Kingdom handed control of the region over to Communist China in 1997 — but added that “free speech is not absolute.”

In other words, the people of Hong Kong are completely free to say anything that does not anger the thin-skinned Communist despots that now run the region. In theory, according to the court filing, they would even be allowed to play “Glory to Hong Kong” in a non-seditious way — but, of course, every performance of the song will be instantly declared seditious and prosecuted.

Disney Reverses Course and Agrees To Meet With Uyghur Genocide Victims

About-face follows Free Beacon report that Disney executives reneged on offer to meet Uyghur groups

Disney CEO Bob Iger (Getty Images)
June 6, 2023

Disney executives have agreed to meet with Uyghur genocide victims after the Washington Free Beacon revealed the company had reneged on a planned powwow to discuss Disney's friendly relationship with Beijing.

The House of Mouse informed Rep. Jim Banks (R., Ind.) earlier this month that it "will be reaching out to the Uyghur Human Rights Project and the Uyghur American Association directly to arrange a meeting with our appropriate executives," according to a letter sent to the lawmaker and obtained by the Free Beacon.

Banks petitioned the company in May to explain why it allegedly pulled out of a meeting with a group of Uyghurs, their families, and advocates who were concerned with Disney's friendly relationship with China and decision to shoot a film in the province where the Chinese Communist Party is oppressing the country's Muslim minority. Disney officials, Banks disclosed in his initial letter, "suddenly cut off the correspondence" with the advocacy groups and have since "evaded meeting with victims of the Uyghur genocide."

Disney's about-face comes as Congress investigates American companies' work with China. Banks and other lawmakers on the House Select Committee on China are conducting broad investigations into a range of companies, such as Nike and Adidas, that rely on Uyghur slave labor and enable China's genocide. Disney has also been locked in an ongoing battle with Republican Florida governor Ron DeSantis, a 2024 presidential candidate.

Banks told the Free Beacon he is encouraged by Disney’s response, but he said that "we will see if it's a turning point" for the company as it tries to battle the perception it kowtows to China.

"Disney did the right thing here," Banks said, expressing hope that the meeting with Uyghur advocacy groups helps drive "a wedge between Disney and the Chinese Communist Party."

Disney faced criticism for its decision to film the 2020 live-action Mulan remake in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, where the CCP wages a genocide against the Uyghur Muslim ethnic minority.

The Mulan film sparked a public relations nightmare for Disney after viewers noticed that the film's credits "thanked several Chinese government agencies," including the Public Security Bureau of Turpan, which the Trump administration sanctioned for human rights crimes. Disney also thanked the Publicity Department of CPC Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Committee, "the CCP propaganda arm charged with covering up the abuses," according to Banks's initial letter.

Susan Fox, Disney's senior vice president and head of U.S. government relations, says that the Mulan debacle was a wake-up call for the company.

"We have subsequently increased our due diligence processes around location filming and acknowledgements in film credits," Fox wrote to Banks, "and we have no future plans to film in Xinjiang Province."

These updated guidelines will apply to all future projects filmed in China, the company said.

Disney also claimed that it could not find evidence that it pulled out of any meetings with Uyghur advocates, even though Banks and his colleagues were provided with insider information about the matter.

"Given the size of our company and the number of requests we receive for meetings with representatives of outside organizations, identifying whether or not a particular meeting request was made several years ago is challenging," the company wrote.

Some of the advocates seeking an audience with Disney remain skeptical that the company will change how it deals with China.

"It's hard to see how Disney can make this right," said Uyghur Human Rights Project executive director Omer Kanat, "but they certainly need to try."

Thousands of Chinese spy balloons are hovering over American universities

By George Fishman
Washington Examiner,
Excerpt: With Biden taking focused law enforcement off the table, we need at least to consider barring the entry of all students from the PRC, or at least those studying in STEM and other fields with military applications. While not every such student will engage in espionage while on our campuses, a sufficiently large number will that a blanket ban may be the only effective option.

When it was announced that Hunter Biden would be quitting the board of a Chinese equity firm, lots of news outlets credulously reported it.

Six months later, records indicate that Hunter has not, in fact, quit.

Will the mainstream media be following up? https://twitter.com/GOP/status/1250584309188177927

There’s more evidence that Hunter might have been selling state secrets

By Andrea Widburg

Late last night, Miranda Devine wrote an essay that’s ostensibly about a poll showing that Americans think that Biden was wrong to brush off the news about his squirreling classified documents as “nothing.” In fact, most Americans, including Democrats, think what happened is “something.” But buried in Devine’s article was well-grounded speculation more interesting than poll results: She believes there’s inferential evidence that Hunter Biden was openly selling national security information to foreign governments and corporations.

Devine opens her article, “Majority of voters, including Democrats, believe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents is a scandal,” by discussing a Rasmussen poll asking voters whether they believe that the way in which Biden handled classified documents is a “scandal.” As you may recall, Biden’s only take on the increasing number of classified document finds was that “there’s no there there” and that “there’s nothing there.”

Au contraire said the voters that Rasmussen polled. Those poll results show that 72% of voters, including 55% of Democrat voters, think that Biden’s conduct constitutes a “scandal.” Indeed, 48% believe that it’s a “major scandal.”

Hunter Biden turns out to be part of what voters consider so scandalous. Of those polled, 60% believe that Hunter used classified documents in his business deals.

Image: Hunter Biden. YouTube screen grab.

So, did he? It’s entirely possible that Hunter did indeed borrow information from Daddy to get money from foreign businesses.

Devine has already speculated, based on her intimate knowledge of Hunter’s laptop, that one of Hunter’s emails is so unlike his usual style—polished, comprehensive, and informed versus semi-literate and with minimal information—that it’s probable he copied it right off a classified briefing. What I can throw into the mix is that the language from that particular email, when run through Grammarly’s plagiarism checker, does not return any other document on the internet, suggesting that Hunter was copying a document that never saw the light of day.

It turns out, though, that you don’t just need to speculate about Hunter’s sudden high-level research and linguistic skills to be suspicious. Hunter was openly offering foreign oligarchs information that promised was unavailable elsewhere. Writes Devine:

The classified files Hur is investigating cover Biden’s vice presidential years, when Hunter and his uncle Jim Biden were actively monetizing the family name overseas. Some documents reportedly date back to the president’s time in the Senate.

[snip]

For instance, documents on the laptop from 2011 show that Hunter offered to sell intelligence on Russian oligarchs to the US aluminum firm Alcoa Inc. for $55,000.

In internal discussions over Hunter’s proposal, a senior executive at Alcoa suggested the information was valuable because it “would not otherwise be on Government Affairs team’s radar.”

As I previously reported, Hunter offered to “provide Alcoa with statistical analysis of political and corporate risks, elite networks associated with Oleg Deripaska (OD), Russian CEO of Basic Element company and United company RUSAL.”

Alcoa had just signed a metal supply agreement with RUSAL.

Hunter promised to provide a “list of elites of similar rank in Russia, map of OD’s [Deripaska’s] networks based on frequency of interaction with selected elites and countries.”

Devine has even more information about pricy offers Hunter was making to Russian oligarchs, promising to give them “raw data” from an “elite mapping procedure.” As Devine says, “How Hunter, 52, a raging drug addict with a voracious appetite for cash during much of his father’s vice presidency, got access to classified information is a matter of national concern.”

It’s not necessarily beneficial if Biden gets impeached because that allows Democrats to put their chosen 2024 candidate in the White House, first as Kamala’s Veep and then, when she’s driven out, as President. There is a real incumbent advantage. With the media rhapsodizing about the chosen one, there’s a strong likelihood that a credulous public, with help from a gamed election, will keep that Democrat in the White House. Better a lame duck Biden than an ascendent Michelle or Gavin Newsom.

Ultimately, though, assuming a clean 2024 election, it would be a wonderful thing if Biden and his son Hunter were definitively proven (at an honestly conducted trial, of course) to have engaged in criminal conduct and were then sent for a long stay in one of the less nice federal prisons.

Biden Diplomats Travel to Beijing To 'Thaw Relations' as CCP Cracks Down on Tiananmen Anniversary Protests

WASHINGTON/BEIJING (Reuters) — A senior U.S. State Department official arrived in Beijing on Sunday with meetings planned for the coming week as Washington seeks to boost communication with China at a time of tense relations between the two countries.

Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink will discuss "key issues in the bilateral relationship" during his visit to China, the State Department said in a statement on Saturday.

He will be joined by the White House National Security Council's senior director for China and Taiwan affairs, Sarah Beran, the statement said.

The officials arrived on the anniversary of China's 1989 massacre of pro-democracy protesters in Tiananmen Square. One day earlier, protesters in Hong Kong took to the streets in commemoration of the massacre, with the government arresting 32 people, the Associated Press reported. The trip is part of the Biden administration's "attempt to thaw relations" with China, CBS reported.

Ties between the world's two largest economies are strained over issues ranging from Taiwan and China's human rights record to military activity in the South China Sea.

During his travels through June 10, Kritenbrink will also visit New Zealand to participate in the U.S.-New Zealand Strategic Dialogue, the department said.

Kritenbrink's official meetings will begin on Monday, a State Department spokesperson said.

While in Beijing, Kritenbrink will raise human rights in his meetings as always, and continue to advocate for people's fundamental freedoms in China, the spokesperson said.

The U.S. embassy in Beijing did not immediately respond to a request for further details on Kritenbrink's itinerary.

Kritenbrink's arrival coincides with the anniversary of the 1989 crackdown by Chinese troops on demonstrators in and around Beijing's Tiananmen Square that rights groups say killed hundreds, if not thousands, of protesters.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken issued a statement on Saturday marking the anniversary of the crackdown, saying, "The victims' bravery will not be forgotten and continues to inspire advocates for these principles around the world."

Discussion of the Tiananmen Square crackdown is taboo in China and heavily censored on social media.

Kritenbrink's trip follows a visit last month to China by CIA director William Burns. A U.S. official said Burns had "emphasized the importance of maintaining open lines of communication in intelligence channels" in meetings with his Chinese counterparts.

In contrast, U.S. defense secretary Lloyd Austin rebuked China on Saturday for refusing to hold military talks.

Speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, Asia's top security summit, Austin said Beijing's reluctance to talk undermined efforts to maintain peace in a region where the two rivals are increasing their military firepower.

Blinken postponed a planned February trip to China after an alleged Chinese spy balloon flew through U.S. airspace over sensitive military sites, kicking off a diplomatic crisis.

But the White House has said further efforts were being made to facilitate visits by Blinken, as well as Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo.

Horowitz Video: The Moral Depravity of the Democrat Party

Freedom Center founder condemns Democrat treason.

[Order your copy of David’s new best-seller, Final Battle: HERE!]

Freedom Center founder David Horowitz recently spoke at The Brown Palace in Denver, Colorado on May 2, 2023 about the moral depravity of the Democrat Party — including the Marxist takeover of our schools, the corruption of the 2020 election, and much more.

Don’t miss this inspiring speech below — but first, read David’s personal letter to all FrontPage Mag readers:

Dear FrontPage Reader,

My new book has been a runaway bestseller.

But it’s being censored.

Almost a total ban.

Even though my book sales far, far surpassed other bestsellers — The New York Times won’t include me on their bestseller list.

All the major networks — including Fox News — won’t even mention “Final Battle: The Next Election Could Be the Last.”

Frankly, I was stunned by Fox’s reaction.

That was until Tucker Carlson was fired.

You should know my book reveals the Left’s end game: creating a one-party, authoritarian socialist state in this country.

Soon after Tucker was fired, he released a video saying a “one-party state” had arrived.

As I discuss in “Final Battle” — the left believes conservative and dissenting voices must be shut down.

Consider that Tucker was the #1 cable news host in America.

And he was shut down.

Consider President Trump was “president” and the leader of the Republican Party today.

And he has been shut down by major media.

I was told President Trump was shocked when he first read “Final Battle.”

A friend told me that he said this book “explains it all.”

I was grateful for President Trump’s strong endorsement for “Final Battle.”

He even posted an urgent message to Truth Social, telling Americans everywhere “Get David Horowitz’s book ‘Final Battle’.”

Dennis Prager, one of the nation’s leading conservative thinkers who heads PragerU, said he agrees with Trump, writing:

“‘Final Battle’ may be the most devastating book-length indictment of the Democratic Party yet written.

This is nothing less than a handbook for the salvation of the United States of America.”

All the major media — even Fox News — is banning any mention of “Final Battle” as it soars to the top of the bestseller lists . . .

David Horowitz – “The Moral Depravity of the Democrat Party” from DHFC on Vimeo.

Transcript below:

Thank you all for coming.

About this time twenty years ago I was sitting in the dining room at this very hotel, meeting with the Republican leadership of the state legislature headed by my friend John Andrews who would have been here tonight except that it’s his birthday and he had a prior engagement with his family.

In those days Colorado was still a red state. Bill Owens whom I had already met with was governor and John was leader of the Senate. Chairing the meeting was my dear friend Steve Schuck who is here with us tonight.

Steve is the most generous and dedicated man I know. Over the past twenty and more years he has been a great friend and supporter of mine and of the Freedom Center, and of this event.

I also want to thank Shari Williams head of the Leadership Program of the Rockies, who couldn’t be here herself but encouraged her members to come.

The title of my new book – Final Battle: The Next Election Could be the Last – may seem like hyperventilation, but in fact it is a sober and disturbing portrait of where we are as a nation. Which is why Donald Trump has not only endorsed my book but has used its title Final Battle to describe his presidential campaign. It is also why for four straight months it has been the #1 best-selling book on elections and politics on Amazon.

“Woke” has become a term to describe the enemies of our country who have colonized our schools and taught our next generations to hate America, hate white people and trash our history and national pride. How to explain this travesty? It began fifty years ago when the anti-American, Marxist left set its sights on taking over our schools.

In fact the purpose of my meeting at the Brown Palace twenty years ago was to launch a national campaign for an Academic Bill of Rights that would protect students from indoctrination by these leftwing ideologues who were busy transforming our schools into indoctrination and recruitment centers for Marxist causes and the Democrat Party. The key agenda of my Academic Bill of Rights was that students should be presented in a fair and dispassionate manner with both sides of controversial questions, and should be assigned readings representing both sides as well.

Knowing that the previous decades had witnessed a large-scale purge of conservatives from university faculties, the very first principle of my Academic Bill of Rights was that no faculty member could be hired, fired, promoted or demoted for their political views. The next day the Denver Post’s lead editorial was an attack on me and my proposal warning that a conservative right-winger from California had come to Colorado for the purpose of getting liberal teachers fired. The Brazen Lie culture of the left was already firmly entrenched …. And very effective at intimidating conservatives and Republicans.

Many of you may have thought that the takeover of our educational system by anti-American Marxists happened overnight. It didn’t. It was five decades in the making. But conservatives and Republicans chose not to notice it. And when they did notice it, they were reluctant to fight.

If you want to understand the disasters that have befallen our country, you have to begin with the failure of Republicans and conservatives to aggressively wage the political war necessary to defend it.

The anti-American left attacks patriotic Americans as “white supremacists,” “racists” “domestic terrorists” and “insurrectionists.” And we respond by calling them “liberals.” There is nothing about them that is liberal. They are vindictive bigots, determined to demonize and destroy us.

Their intimidation has been working like a charm. While Senator Andrews was able to get Republicans to support the principles of my Academic Bill of Rights they were only prepared to support a “Resolution” not a law. So it lacked any teeth to enforce it. The Democrats were happy with this result, and John was able to put together a Joint Resolution supported by both parties which passed both Colorado chambers unanimously.

But the cynical Democrats, as usual, were acting in bad faith, and nothing happened as a result. The Democrats had achieved their goal of supporting the transformation of the educational system into an indoctrination and recruitment Center for the anti-American political left.

I wrote 5 books documenting the Marxist takeover of the schools They sold about 100,000 copies and I had high level contacts with Republican leaders like Newt Gingrich and Speaker John Boehner. I also created a national organization called Students for Academic Freedom. However, nothing came of our efforts but toothless resolutions like the one in Colorado.

Boehner even inserted a Resolution endorsing the Academic Bill of Rights into the Education Authorization Act, which meant that federal funds would be withdrawn from any institution that didn’t implement its principles. That’s if it was formulated as a law. But it wasn’t.

The result of these failures was the destruction of our educational system and the atrocities committed against our youth today from gender transitioning behind parental backs to teaching that America was created in 1619 as a white supremacist slave state.

The Democrat Party is no longer controlled by a liberal left but by Marxist zealots who willfully disregard the Marxist atrocities and failures of the past. Democrats no longer respect the sovereign individual, the rule of law, or the primary values of the Constitution –the equality of races, the spirit of compromise or the decentralization of power.

Instead, Democrats regard the Constitution as a white supremacist document written by rich white slaveowners, designed to oppress all other genders and races. Its mentality is that of European fascism and Soviet communism, and its immediate goal is a one-party state.

This is actually a bad news/good news story. The bad news is that the tremendous damage to our country was made possible because Republicans and patriots failed to address the threat when it could have been nipped in the bud. The good news is that we can take our country back if we’re willing to fight now.

2. The 2020 Election

I came tonight ready to talk about some of the themes of Final Battle: The Next Election Could Be The Last. The public debate about the 2020 election like all public debates has been framed by Democrats’ readiness to demonize their opponents and make brazenly false accusations about their actions and motives. According to Democrats the 2020 election was the fairest, most just election ever. Anyone who questions this preposterous conclusion, moreover, is committing an unthinkable act of treason – and constitutes an existential threat to our democracy.

In the real world, as opposed to this fiction, Democrats themselves have questioned the legitimacy of every single presidential election that Republicans have won since 1980. They have done so by going to the well of the House to call for the de-certification of Republican electors.

The reality is that Democrats have been stealing elections since the days of Tammany Hall, and their alliances with big city mafias. It is a widely accepted fact that John F. Kennedy was elected by the narrowest of margins with the help of Sam Giancana and the Chicago mob who stuffed the ballot boxes and voted the cemeteries in Cook County.

Here’s the reality of the 2020 election, which Biden officially won by .027% of the vote or 43,000 votes out of 159 million. In other words roughly 20,000 out of 159 million votes could have changed the result.

It is often overlooked that in this election President Trump became the only sitting president in the history of the country to increase his vote total in seeking a second term, which he did by increasing it 11 million votes to 74 million. Biden, who campaigned from his basement got 80 million votes if you can believe the official tally, or roughly 16 million more than Obama at his peak.

These results didn’t happen by normal campaigning. In July 2020, six months before the presidential election, the Democrats sent out a task force of 600 lawyers and 10,000 volunteers, whose mission was to change the election rules and tip the scales in Biden’s favor.

According to the U.S. Constitution, the election rules are set by the state legislatures. But in key battleground states like Georgia and Pennsylvania, as a result of Democrat lobbying the election rules were not set by the legislatures that Republicans controlled. In Georgia they were set by a backroom deal between a Trump-hating Republican Secretary of State and Hillary Clinton’s fixer law firm, Perkins Coie.

In Pennsylvania, where Republicans also controlled the state legislature, the election rules were set by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court which had a 5-2 Democrat majority. Eleven days before the election they removed the signature verification requirement. Now why would they do that, except to cheat? And in fact one ballot dump of 570,000 votes in the middle of the night in Pennsylvania assigned 99.4% of the votes to Biden and only .6% to Trump.

To protest travesties like this, the Trump team submitted 61 lawsuits with massive documentation of irregularities. None of this evidence was ever examined.

Trump felt abandoned by the Republican legislatures that allowed the Democrats to ignore the Constitution and deliver election authority to Democrat-controlled entities that would tilt the scales in their favor.

In changing the election rules, the Democrat task force did not pursue random agendas but followed a strategic plan, based on how their changes would make it easier to cheat.

Their model was provided by the Carter-Baker Commission on Election Reform. The 2000 Bush-Gore election had irregularities that eventually had to be resolved by the Supreme Court which decided the election in favor of Bush. The problems with election integrity were so severe that in 2005, Jimmy Carter and Bush’s former chief of staff formed the bi-partisan Carter-Baker Commission. The Commission issued a report listing the chief reforms necessary to ensure election integrity and make cheating more difficult.

In 2020, the strategy adopted by the Democrat task force was to reverse every recommendation of the Carter-Baker Commission and make cheating easier.

Number one of the Carter-Baker recommendations was to avoid the use of unsolicited paper ballots. It described these as “the main source of potential voter fraud.” In the 2020 presidential election, Democrat secretaries of state sent out 44 million unsolicited paper ballots dramatically increasing the opportunities for voter fraud.

The second key recommendation of the Commission was to increase the number of laws requiring voter I.D.’s to cast a ballot. The Democrats launched an endless smear campaign against voter I.D.s calling them Jim Crow 2.0 – a racist attempt to suppress minority votes. There was zero evidence to back up this claim since minorities were voting in record numbers in states with voter-I.D. laws. Other reforms recommended by the Commission were to ban third party ballot harvesting opaerations and unguarded ballot boxes. In other words to prevent voting by proxy. All of these voting methods were required by the new rules the Democrats put in place.

January 6th was the date set to certify the electors. On that day Trump gave his famous “Stop the Steal” speech, which has been maliciously described by Democrats as a criminal “incitement to insurrection.” This was absurd on its face, since Trump had offered the Capitol Police and Nancy Pelosi 10,000 national guardsmen to control the crowds. Trump’s offer was duly noted by the Inspector General who attended the meeting. Pelosi and the Democrat-controlled Capitol Police rejected the offer.

In his Stop the Steal speech, Trump described some of the more egregious ballot-fixing actions of the Democrats, blamed the looming loss of the election on “weak Republicans” who allowed these changes in the law to happen. He urged his followers to march “peacefully” and “patriotically” to the Capitol to stiffen weak Republican spines.

If you fail to do so, Trump added, you must go home and primary the weak Republicans so we can win the next election.

You could not imagine a speech less insurrectionary or more respectful of the democratic process than that.

Later that day, a relatively peaceful protest took place inside the Capitol that was immediately attacked by the Democrats as an “armed insurrection” and the most heinous crime in American history comparable to 9/11 and the burning of the White House in 1812.

More likely, this was the biggest lie in American history. No arms were found among the 800 or so people arrested. This forced the Democrats to revise their smear and call it just an insurrection. But you can’t overthrow the government without arms. That didn’t deter Democrats from ritualistically describing January 6th as an “insurrection” driven by white supremacy and Islamophobia as though that was reality instead of a hoax. The Democrats also claimed that 5 Capitol police officers were killed by the demonstrators. The correct number is zero. Four of the deaths were suicides months after the 6th and one was by a Trump supporting Capitol Police officer who died of a stroke in his bed at home on January 7. But shameless Democrat leaders like Joe Biden and Hakeem Jeffries were still repeating this lie as late as last fall.

Only one person was shot and killed on January 6th in the Capitol. Ashli Babbitt was a five-foot tall air force veteran who was unarmed and threatening no one when she was murdered by a Capitol police officer. The murder was captured on video. Nancy Pelosi hid the identity of the shooter for months while she quashed any investigation, then publicly exonerated him, and gave him a medal.

A real investigation – if it would have been allowed to happen could have led to the conclusion that Pelosi was an accomplice to murder. This is a measure of how criminal the Democrat Party has become.

3. The Biden Regime

Biden’s inauguration was January 20. He began with a brazen lie that he would unify the country and represent both those who voted for him and those who did not.

Then he issued a series of executive orders that illegally and unconstitutionally nullified our immigration laws, and welcomed a flood of unvetted illegals from 200 countries to invade our country. This was the greatest crime ever committed by our government against its own people.

Here’s a glimpse of its impact: In 2018 the Government Accounting Office issued a report on the number of illegal migrants in American prisons and jails in the five years between 2011 and 2016. Keep in mind that during Joe Biden’s first two years in office more illegals entered the country than in all twelve years of the Obama and Trump presidencies combined. So you can probably multiply the following figures by a factor of 3.

According to the Government Accounting Office, in the five years between 2011 and 2016, there were 730,000 illegals in U.S. prisons and jails. They accounted for 4.9 million arrests thanks to the revolving door that Democrats have provided criminals with and 7.5 million crimes. These crimes included 1 million drug arrests, 500,000 assaults, 134,000 sexual assaults, 24,000 kidnappings, 33,000 homicides and 1500 terrorist-related events.

Even worse in measuring the moral depths to which the Democrat Party has sunk is to consider the fate of unaccompanied minors under their rule. Recall Democrats’ outrage when Trump arrested the illegal parents of 4000 minors who were not allowed under American law to accompany their parents to prison while they were being processed for deportation.

They remained in the facilities that Obama had built, cared for by Border Patrol. Democrat outrage knew no bounds. Biden personally accused Trump of “ripping babies from the arms of their mothers” and put in cages reminiscent of Auschwitz. This slander was hammered home by Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and every other leading Democrat. “It’s criminal” Biden said in disgust. Responding to the faux outrage, Trump ended the policy within two months.

But when Biden took charge f the Oval Office, he made it a point to welcome unaccompanied minors to come to the United States, assuring them they would not be deported.

So instead of 4,000 parentless kids temporarily separated, the number exploded to 250,000 with 100,000 of those “lost” – that is, somewhere in the United States unknown to our government and in the tender care of ruthless drug cartels, sex traffickers and other criminals ready to rape and exploit them as child laborers in jobs that adults won’t do.

This unconscionable treatment of migrant children is a horrifying stain on our country, inflicted by the morally depraved leadership of the Democrat Party.

What is the goal of this radicalized party that leads to such atrocities? It is the dismantling of the American system and its replacement by a totalitarian state.

In addition to his illegal destruction of America’s borders, Biden announced at his inaugural that the main theme of his domestic policy would be “Equity” – by which he meant a government redistribution of resources, wealth and privileges by skin color. To justify this policy Biden claimed that America was and had always been a systemically racist society, and that systemic racism touched every aspect of American life.

These were monstrous lies, worthy of our most dedicated enemies, which, thanks to the radical takeover of the schools have become the dominant view of America’s record on race relations. It is an attitude designed to destroy our country and its political system by making Americans ashamed of their national heritage, and actual achievements in providing opportunity to all.

For the record, there is no systemic racism in American institutions. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 specifically outlawed systemic racism. If any institution was systemically racist there would be a tsunami of lawsuits filed by racial ambulance chasers like Benjamin Crump, extracting million-dollar penalties for violations of the Civil Rights law and the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. There is no such tsunami because there is no systemic racism.

The war on white people is really a war on America, its creation, and its future. It is a weapon selectively used to demonize Republican politicians who belong to the party of Lincoln and support Martin Luther King’s vision of a color-blind society. This was also the vision of the founders, which is why the words “white” and “black” do not appear in the Constitution.

The anti-white racism that pervades the outlook of the Democrat Party and informs its policies is no more subtle than the anti-black racism of the Ku Klux Klan. But it doesn’t emanate from the fever swamps of America’s backwater regions. It has been manufactured and promoted in the editorial rooms of the New York Times and the boardrooms of the Pulitzer Foundation, the offices of the teacher unions and the faculties of our universities and schools, which makes it far more dangerous.

Here’s two ominous results. We now have a serious problem of recruitment in our military because the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Mark Milley, are anti-white racists who have made the demonization of white America a core element of military training.

Our system of justice is also imperiled by this anti-white racism. We have just appointed an anti-white racist to the U.S. Supreme Court who is such an ideologue that she can’t tell you what a woman is. She has been appointed to a position whose only job is to defend the Constitution but she is a believer in Critical Race Theory which maintains that the Constitution, a document that does not contain the word “white” is a white supremacist contract that should not be respected.

America is not now and never was a racist country. It is true that in the effort to defend slavery, southerners developed a poisonous anti-black ideology that flooded the region with racism.
But American slavery itself was not a racist institution. If it were – and America is a white supremacist country – how can you explain the existence of 500,000 black citizens who were free on the eve of the Civil War? You can’t.

Slavery existed in Africa for a thousand years before a white man ever set foot on the continent. Slavery in America was an imported institution. Virtually every black slave shipped to America was enslaved by black Africans and sold to Americans at slave auctions in Ghana and Benin. They were, in turn, freed by historic sacrifices made by mainly white Americans, 360,000 of whom made the ultimate sacrifice to set blacks free.

In all history there is not another case of one race making such sacrifices to free another.

Every nation needs to be proud of its history in order to defend itself. Americans can be proud of ours.

4. Gospel of the Fuhrer

How do I justify the subtitle of my book: The Last Election Could Be the Last? In fact, I finished it too soon to capture the Democrats’latest attempt to cancel our democracy. Mobilize corrupt Soros district attorneys like Alvin Bragg, to smother your political opponent with bogus indictments that could land him in jail or tied up in so many court proceedings that he couldn’t reach his constituents.

But the real threat can only be assessed by gauging the mentality of one’s opponents. For example, how committed are Democrats to the legal system under which we live? Here’s an incident you may be unaware of.

January 2, 2021 happened to be the one-year anniversary of the death of General Qasim Soleimani, whose assassination Trump had ordered. Soleimani was the leading terrorist in the world. He was responsible for thousands of American deaths including every wounded warrior blown up by an I.E.D. that you see on television. The Democrats condemned Trump’s decision to kill Soleimani because he was a “government official.” They said to kill this terrorist-mastermind was “provocative.”

The Iranian regime took a grimmer view. Its dictator Rouhani said that Trump would not only be removed from office – he had already lost the rigged election – but “he would be removed from life. We cannot forgive the killing of Soleimani.”

As you can imagine this threat led to a scrambling of White House security officials, led by the president’s military adviser General Milley. Details of how Milley led these security meetings were provided by two Washington Post reporters who were present.

According to the Post reporters, Milley’s “chief concern” was not the Iranian threat to the American president but remarks Trump had made in tweets that night regarding the 2020 election. Milley described Trump’s Stop the Steal speech as “the Gospel of the Fuhrer.” He told close aides that listening to President Trump was “like reading George Orwell’s 1984. “Lies are truth. Division is unity. Evil is good.” “This is a Reichstag moment” he said.

Milley went on to call Trump’s supporters “the guys we fought in World War II.” “They’re Nazis.” He proposed ringing the Capitol with barbed wire and 25,000 troops – not to keep out the Iranian terrorists, but to keep out the Maga Republicans and their alleged domestic terrorist threat. “We’re going to put a ring of steel around the Capitol,” he said, “and these Nazis aren’t going to get in.” Of course, no threat ever materialized.

Even more disturbing than these ravings by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was their endorsement by American elites. “You know what Milley was doing,” said CNN’s Anderson Cooper, “which you know was obeying the Constitution…. That’s what a patriot does.”

Actually, it would be hard to imagine a clearer form of treason.

In America’s constitutional order, the military is under civilian control, and the president is the commander-in-chief.

Yet Republicans failed to notice or mention this betrayal, and expose the extent of Democrat malice in the process.

Our country is in deep trouble. It can only be saved if actual patriots will step up and answer the call.

White House Claims Biden Family Business Represents ‘No’ National Security Threat

John Kirby, National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, denied on Monday the Biden family’s business schemes represent a national security threat despite admitting he had not read the House Oversight Committee report on the matter.

In May, the House Oversight Committee’s probe found the Biden family business over the course of several years received at least $10 million from business schemes in Romania and China in return for what appears to be influence peddling. In total, nine Biden family members received payments from the family foreign business ventures, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren, the investigation revealed.

“Have you read the report yourself and do you personally think there are any national security concerns here?” a White House Daily Caller correspondent asked Kirby during Monday’s White House press briefing.

“No, and no.” he responded.

The question on Monday was the second time in one week reporters raised the topic of the Biden family business during a White House press briefing.

During last Wednesday’s White House press briefing, a reporter asked Kirby what he thought about a recent Harvard/Harris poll that found 53 percent of Americans, including a quarter of Democrats, believe Joe Biden “was involved with his son in an illegal influence peddling scheme.”

“What do you say to the majority of Americans who believe that the president is himself corrupt?” the reporter asked Kirby.

“Wow,” Kirby replied, pausing before claiming that “there’s nothing to these claims.”

The questions come as the House Oversight Committee opened a new line of investigation into an unclassified document that allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions between now-President Joe Biden and a foreign national.

The FBI possesses the document from an interview the bureau conducted with the informant, who is reportedly a “highly credible” FBI source with a history dating back to the Obama administration era.

FBI Director Christopher Wray refused to hand over the subpoenaed record to the custody of the House Oversight Committee. On Monday, Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) announced the committee will move Thursday to hold Wray in contempt of Congress.

“FBI officials confirmed that the unclassified, FBI-generated record has not been disproven and is currently being used in an ongoing investigation,” Comer explained. “The confidential human source who provided the information about then-Vice President Joe Biden being involved in a criminal bribery scheme is a trusted, highly credible informant who is being used by the FBI for over ten years and has been paid over six figures.”

Nat’l Black Farmers Assn. Pres. on Report U.S. Paid Chinese Food Producers: We’re Giving China Resources to Buy our Farms

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends First,” National Black Farmers Association President John Boyd Jr. reacted to a report by Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Open the Books that the U.S. government has given at least $490 million in U.S. grants and contracts to Chinese entities and another $870 million to Russian entities since 2017, including $1.6 million to Chinese food producers by stating that China is buying up American farms, “and this administration is giving them resources to do these types of things.”

Boyd said, “You know, when you look at what China is doing, they’re buying America’s farms. So, when I spoke about farm foreclosures, it’s operatives like Chinese organizations that are purchasing these farms right here in the United States. So, we can’t go to China and buy their farms, but they can come to right here in the United States and buy our farms, and this administration is giving them resources to do these types of things. Something is terribly, terribly wrong with this picture and we have to look at what’s really going on. The American farmer is suffering right here with the highest input costs we’ve had in our nation’s history for America’s farmers. We’re out here struggling and we’re managing to help countries like China and Russia, America’s two biggest adversaries.”

Exclusive – Ohio’s Moreno Slams Democrat Sherrod Brown for Opposing China Tariffs, Border Security

Bernie Moreno
BernieMoreno.com

Businessman Bernie Moreno, the leading Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Ohio in 2024, is slamming his Democrat opponent Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) for voting last week against two critical amendments to the debt ceiling deal that would have protected tariffs against China and helped secure the U.S. border with Mexico.

“Sherrod Brown is a career politician who has managed to live off of the taxpayers his entire life by defrauding voters into believing that he’s ‘pro-worker,’” Moreno said in a statement provided exclusively to Breitbart News. “The reality is, when Sherrod goes to Washington DC, he regularly votes against the interests of Ohio workers and families. Just last week he voted against amendments to raise tariffs on China and secure our southern border. Raising tariffs on Communist China and securing the border to stop the flow of illegal labor are two policies that would directly benefit working people and help us rebuild our manufacturing sector here at home, but because Sherrod’s Democrat party bosses opposed them, he voted no on both amendments. In the U.S. Senate, I will never be afraid to buck my own party to hold China accountable, secure our border, rebuild our manufacturing sector, and protect Ohio workers.

Senator Sherrod Brown, a Democrat from Ohio and chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, speaks during a hearing in Washington, D.C., US, on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022. Moreno, who is endorsed by Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), has won praise from former President Donald Trump. While Trump has yet to endorse in the 2024 Ohio Republican primary, he has spoken highly of Moreno — and has criticized Moreno’s only declared opponent Ohio State Sen. Matt Dolan. Dolan’s family owns Cleveland’s Major League Baseball team, and caved to leftists who pressured them to change the name from the Cleveland Indians to the Cleveland Guardians. It is possible that Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose also runs, but it seems unlikely that LaRose would win Trump’s support. Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH), a Freedom Caucus member who the Club for Growth was pushing to run, formally declined to run last month.

Brown, the longtime Democrat senator from Ohio who the eventual GOP nominee would face in November 2024 in the general election, has regularly presented himself as someone who sticks up for working class Americans in the U.S. Senate. But when presented with two separate opportunities to actually do so on the floor of the U.S. Senate last week, when senators voted on amendments to the debt ceiling deal between Democrat President Joe Biden and GOP House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Brown voted no on both of them.

The first was an amendment from Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) which would have implemented tariffs on goods imported from China until trade between the United States and China was considered balanced. Brown voted against this amendment, which failed considerably given that only 17 senators backed it.

The second was an amendment from Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) that would have helped secure the border. This amendment vote was far closer. A total of 46 senators voted for it, and just 51 votes were against it—meaning that Brown was technically the 51st vote against security the border.

Cotton: Biden Officials Are ‘Chasing After’ Chinese Counterparts like ‘Lovestruck Teenagers’

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) said on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that Biden administration officials were chasing after their Chinese Communist counterparts like “lovestruck teenagers.”

Anchor Shannon Bream said, “On China, the Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is over in Singapore, Chinese counterparts do not want to meet with him there, they have refused that. We have had these incursions with a Chinese jet and now with war ships in the Taiwan Straits, some aggressive behavior there. Now there is talk this administration is considering potentially lifting tariffs and saying we have to do better can communication between these two countries. How are we doing managing that relationship?”

Cotton said, “Well, Biden administration officials should stop chasing after their Chinese Communist counterparts like lovestruck teenagers. It’s embarrassing and it is pathetic. In fact it projects weakness to China and encourages them to do things like buzz our aircrafts or come within a few hundred yards of our ships and send spy balloons floating across America. Reducing tariffs will send that same message. To get back to this bill we just voted on, the single best way to deter China, Iran and Russia have military capable of deterring them. That is one of the core lessons of history.”

Uyghurs Protest Corporate China Support: Tesla and Chase ‘Complicit’ in Genocide

Student activists wear masks with the colors of the pro-independence East Turkistan flag during a rally to protest the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, outside the Chinese Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, Friday, Jan. 14, 2022. Members of the Uyghur community and supporters organized a protest in front of the White House on Sunday urging the administration of President Joe Biden to take “meaningful action” to end the genocide of their people in China, as well as condemn American corporations such as J.P. Morgan Chase and Tesla for profiting from business with the Communist Party.

“We urge the U.S. government, especially the Biden administration, to uphold their promise of ‘never again’ by taking strong and meaningful actions to end China’s ongoing campaign of colonization, genocide, and occupation in East Turkistan,” the event’s speakers demanded.

Sunday marked the 34th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, in which the Chinese Communist Party killed thousands of peaceful protesters, most of them young students, who had assembled in the capital calling for democracy and freedom. The protesters, members and supporters of the East Turkistan National Awakening Movement, observed a moment of silence for the majority Han victims of Tiananmen Square and used the occasion to remind the international community of the horrific abuses that Beijing has engaged in for nearly a century under communism.

The Chinese Communist Party has for decades used brutal repression – including mass killings, forced sterilization, imprisonment, and live organ harvesting – to erase the people of East Turkistan specifically. Late communist mass murderer Mao Zedong occupied East Turkistan in 1949, after the killing of most of the country’s leaders. It has since administered the region under the Mandarin name “Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.” In addition to the Uyghur people, other Turkic ethnic groups, most prominent Kazakh and Kyrgyz people, are indigenous to the Central Asian territory.

The inhabitants of East Turkistan are now experiencing one of the most prolific acts of genocide in the world. Extensive evidence compiled by human rights lawyers and eyewitnesses to the abuse indicate that the Communist Party, under Xi Jinping, has imprisoned as many as 3 million people in concentration camps, where many are killed, tortured, sterilized against their will, and have had their children killed in and out of the womb. Many survivors say they experienced or witnessed brutal gang rapes and sexual torture including the use of electric decides to rape women.

“Women detainees have had their vaginas and rectums penetrated by electric shock rods and iron bars. Women were raped by men paying to be allowed into the detention centre for the purpose,” the Uyghur Tribunal, a coalition of human rights law experts, wrote in 2021 after hosting a trial to compile evidence on the genocide. “One young woman of twenty or twenty-one was gang raped by policemen in front of an audience of a hundred people all forced to watch.

Outside of the camps, the use of Uyghurs as slave labor is pervasive nationwide and of particular concern in the electric vehicle industry – implicating Tesla – and in the manufacture of solar panels and cotton picking. The Chinese government sells Uyghurs as slaves on state-hosted websites in “batches of 50 to 100 workers.”

The protesters on Sunday targeted Chase and Tesla in particular over the recent visits of their respective CEOs, Jamie Dimon and Elon Musk, to China, promoting business with the Communist Party. Musk’s visit – a bombastic three-day spectacle featuring high-level government meetings and a highly publicized 16-course feast in Beijing – is especially offensive as Tesla operates a car showroom in Urumqi, the capital of East Turkistan.

“We must demand more than mere words and sanctions. The United States and other nations must go beyond lip service and take tangible, meaningful action to address and end the ongoing genocide,” Salih Hudayar, the prime minister of the East Turkistan Government in Exile, said during an address to the assembly. “Appeasement and complacency have no place in the face of genocide. We must condemn the actions of U.S. companies like Tesla, Chase, and dozens of others which choose profit over principle by turning a blind eye and even being complicit to China’s ongoing Uyghur genocide.”

“We must hold them accountable and demand that they prioritize human life over financial gain,” he continued. “Furthermore, we call on the United States government, particularly the Biden administration, to demonstrate true strength and courage by ceasing appeasement and taking a firm stance.”

Tesla chief Elon Musk – who also claims to run the social media site Twitter, the SpaceX exploration company, public transit experimentation group Boring Company, and implantable computer project Neuralink – is one of the most enthusiastic supporters of business with the Chinese Communist Party active in the United States. Musk regularly promotes business activity in the company and has disparaged American workers as “complacent” compared to Chinese workers, many of whom are victims of slavery.

“China rocks in my opinion. The energy in China is great. People there – there’s like a lot of smart, hard-working people. And they’re really — they’re not entitled, they’re not complacent,” Musk said in 2020, “whereas I see in the United States increasingly much more complacency and entitlement, especially in places like the Bay Area, and L.A. and New York.”

In Beijing last week, Musk, according to Chinese government statements, proclaimed himself against “decoupling” supply chains from the genocidal slavery that fuels the Chinese economy.

While less vocal than Musk, Dimon, the Chase CEO, also recently visited China, a trip Chinese state-run propaganda outlets used to encourage the West’s top companies to invest in its genocidal regime.

“JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon made his first visit to China in about four years, during which he met with Shanghai Party chief Chen Jining on Tuesday and attended a two-day summit convened by JPMorgan,” the state-run Global Times reported in May. In light of Dimon’s visit, J.P. Morgan sent a statement to the iGlobal Times celebrating that “deeper understanding of the Chinese market is of unprecedented significance to global investors” and China’s “opening-up” represents a critical profit opportunity for morally apathetic corporations.

At the event on Sunday, Hudayar lamented that the Biden administration, and the U.S. government generally, “has not been taking enough meaningful actions to address the existential threat that China poses to America’s freedom, to America’s principles, to America’s very own sovereignty.” He noted that the lack of “meaningful action” in response to the Tiananmen Square massacre preceded a host of other atrocities by Beijing: the Uyghur genocide, the end of capitalism in Hong Kong, and ethnic cleansing campaigns in Tibet and Inner Mongolia, among other regions.

“Weakness only emboldens and empowers the Chinese government [to] perpetuat[e] the genocide in East Turkistan … jeopardizing the very principles and freedoms on which America is built,” Hudayar asserted, adding that the “only viable solution” to end the genocide in East Turkistan is to restore sovereignty to the region and grant it the status of an occupied country, similar to neighboring Tibet, which was colonized in 1951.

In remarks to Breitbart News last week, Hudayar noted that Tesla is particularly implicated in the Uyghur genocide due to the nature of electric vehicle supply chains that run through China.

“Tesla’s demand for lithium batteries is feeding the very system that exploits these victims. Most lithium used in Tesla batteries comes from occupied East Turkistan,” Hudayar explained. “Chinese companies, including Tesla’s main supplier Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), have invested $2 billion in lithium mining and production in East Turkistan, further exploiting East Turkistan’s resources while fueling the genocide.”

“With a showroom in Urumchi, the capital of Occupied East Turkistan, and increasing presence in China, Tesla’s economic endeavors directly contribute to the brutal genocide of Uyghurs and other Turkic peoples,” he concluded. “Tesla’s actions make them an accomplice in China’s horrifying campaign of genocide.”

In a War Against China, America Could Be the Underdog

REVIEW: 'The Origins of Victory: How Disruptive Military Innovation Determines the Fates of Great Powers'

Reuters
June 4, 2023

"Every war," former president Dwight Eisenhower once observed, "is going to astonish you in the way it occurred, and in the way it is carried out." In his new book, The Origins of Victory: How Disruptive Military Innovation Determines the Fates of Great Powers, Andrew Krepinevich reminds us that in warfare the only constant is change. War might be the "mother of invention," as the British historian A.J.P. Taylor famously said, but innovation itself can shape the destinies of nations.

Krepinevich, the author of several well-regarded books on warfare, spent years at the Department of Defense’s famed Office of Net Assessment, an inhouse think tank. In his latest volume, the scholar shows that militaries that successfully pursue "disruptive innovation" can "gain a major advantage over their rivals, while those that fail to do so risk exposing their countries to great danger."

The topic couldn’t be timelier.

For the first time in modern history, the United States is confronted with a potential war with a peer competitor, China. Beijing has designs on Taiwan and seeks to impose its will far from its shores, reshaping the global order to its benefit.

Meanwhile, as Krepinevich demonstrates, the United States will not be able to avail itself of many of the advantages it possessed in previous great power conflicts. Rather, the nation finds itself in the unenviable position of being thoroughly reliant on an enemy that seeks to destroy American hegemony.

A key component of this competition is in the realm of technology. Artificial intelligence will be a decisive battleground. A.I. has received a lot of attention lately, with the advent of Chat GPT and warnings from luminaries like Henry Kissinger and Elon Musk that A.I. will transform the world. It will also, Krepinevich makes clear, change war.

In 2017, when Air Force Lt. Gen. Jack Shanahan witnessed Project Maven, a Pentagon effort that utilized A.I. and machine learning, he was so impressed that he suggested "the Department of Defense should never buy another weapon system … without artificial intelligence baked into it."

A.I.’s potential to change warfare spans the gamut, from basic logistics to how war itself is fought. Once largely confined to air, sea, and land, the wars of the future will extend to the realms of space and cyber. And disturbingly, the United States no longer holds a homefield advantage.

A 2021 report by Harvard’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs warned that China has "become a serious competitor in the foundational technologies of the 21st century" and "will overtake the U.S. in the next decade." The Origins of Victory makes clear this isn’t hyperbole—and that the costs of inaction would be disastrous. Urgency is a necessity.

Yet, the book’s greatest merit rests in framing the future—and the rapidly changing present—in the past.

Krepinevich manages to put the rise of A.I., drone swarms, the internet of things, and big data in their proper historical context. Disruptive technologies are almost as old as warfare itself. He offers a study of modern history that focuses on several momentous changes that, while known to others in his field, might have escaped the general reader.

"History shows," Krepinevich writes, "that a military that first masters the new form of warfare enjoys a clear and potentially decisive advantage over its rivals." And he offers numerous examples.

In the middle of the 19th century, Prussia stood at the forefront of the "Railroad, Rifle and Telegraph Revolution." Trains offered land forces "the advantage of increased speed in mobilization and maneuver at the strategic and operational levels of war" while greatly reducing the wear and tear brought by long marches. They also enabled militaries to rapidly move supplies, further enhancing both their staying power and size.

The use of the telegraph increased a commander’s ability to direct and move troops. And improvements in small arms offered both better accuracy and the ability to engage at longer distances.

Prussia used this revolution in military affairs to its benefit, forging the nation of Germany and defeating the once mighty French empire. Other countries, notably the United States, which itself was fighting a war to unify a continent, soon followed.

The Fisher (or "Dreadnought") Revolution transformed naval warfare. Led by Great Britain, navies began to emphasize speed and were able to operate at greater ranges. New technology in the form of diesel engines and better torpedoes led to a seismic growth in submarine warfare. These advents, coupled with the rise of air warfare and greater mechanization, led to a greater emphasis on geolocating and scouting.

During World War II, signals intelligence and cryptography played a crucial role in defeating Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. Radar, and eventually satellites, became increasingly important as America stood at the forefront of the nuclear age. The Soviets and others soon followed.

Perhaps the most instructive historical lesson that Krepinevich cites is the "Precision-Warfare Revolution," best demonstrated by the quick and relatively painless victory achieved by a U.S.-led coalition against Saddam Hussein’s Iraq in the first Gulf war. Stealth aircraft linked to a nascent battle network coupled with laser-guided "smart bombs" changed warfare.

As Gen. Buster C. Glosson, the U.S. military’s director of air campaign plans, noted, "One need only look back to our raids on Schweinfurt, Germany, in World War II to see how dramatically precision weapons have enhanced our capabilities. … Two raids of 300 B-17 bombers could not achieve with 3,000 bombs what two F-117’s can do with only four."

But contrary to appearances, American victory wasn’t achieved overnight. As Krepinevich rightly notes, that revolution in military affairs could be traced back to the 1970s, when the Pentagon began to invest heavily in researching new technologies. As Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld famously observed, you "go to war with the army that you have, not the army that you might want or wish to have at a later time." Victory isn’t built overnight. Preparation is key.

Uniquely, the United States maintained its dominance for more than a decade. Potential competitors like Russia and China, beset with economic and development issues, were unable to take the field.

But times change. And so too does warfare. The nature of man, however, does not. "Only the dead have seen the end of war," Plato famously observed. And if war does come, innovation will be key to preserving life, liberty, and freedom against the greatest police state the world has ever known.

As Krepinevich warns, "Silver medals are not awarded to those who come in second."

Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), the chairman of the newly created U.S. House Select Committee on China, told Breitbart News exclusively that the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are deep into a “new Cold War.”

Gallagher’s bold characterization of years-long rising tensions between the two world powers, as the official authority of the U.S. House of Representatives on the matter, as a “Cold War” much like the decades-long one the United States eventually won against the now-defunct Soviet Union is a major escalation.

“It’s my argument that they, increasingly in partnership with Russia and to a lesser extent Iran, have been waging Cold War against us for the better part of a decade,” Gallagher said in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News that aired on Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM 125 the Patriot Channel last weekend. “I mean, historians will argue when this new Cold War began, it could have began in 2009 when under the previous leadership of Hu Jintao they made aggressive claims in the South China Sea that led to this sort of unprecedented militarization. It could be in 2015 with the OPM hack, which actually happened in 2014, or it could be when Xi Jinping came to power in 2012 or 2013. Who knows? But, they are waging it against us. The point of Cold War, in some sense, is to achieve your objectives without having to resort to hot war. Like the Soviets before them and as Winston Churchill said at the beginning of the old Cold War, of course they don’t want war—they want the fruits of war without having to go to war. We need to deny them that objective.”

Gallagher said some in foreign policy established circles are hesitant to speak so plainly about the threat of the CCP, but not doing so gives them everything they want.

“I think there’s this hesitancy to use the ‘new Cold War’ language for one reason: It’s the fear of upsetting Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party,” Gallagher said. “It almost gives in to the rhetoric we see coming from the CCP, where they attack everything—even attempts at engagement they will attack as ‘Cold War mentality’ or ‘Cold War thinking’ or ‘zero sum games.’ It’s designed to make us afraid to speak the truth. That’s sort of the overall point.”

After the speakership election in January, Speaker Kevin McCarthy quickly assembled the U.S. House Select Committee on China and named Gallagher to be its chair. The bipartisan committee has held some public hearings, and has been gathering information for the last six months, as it prepares to lay out a path for the United States first to understand the confrontation it faces with the CCP in what Gallagher calls this new Cold War—and then to win it. Much like during the first Cold War, with the Soviets, the CCP has influence operations worldwide and is active around the globe including here domestically on U.S. soil. Gallagher told Breitbart News that one of the first actions his committee uncovered was an illegal CCP police station operating in the heart of New York City. That, plus many other revelations like CCP activity on American college campuses and efforts to influence not just the U.S. federal government but state and local governments nationwide, are something Gallagher says are a major threat to the United States.

“Your point about what they’re doing here in America and why this isn’t just a military competition in the South China Sea is a good one,” Gallagher said. “One of the first things we did in the committee was an alley in front of an illegal Chinese Communist Party police station in the island of Manhattan. It’s a perfect encapsulation of the nature of what’s called United Front Work. There, they used an innocent-sounding nonprofit to operate out of a building that was being used to surveil and, in some cases, physically assault Chinese citizens, and in some cases American citizens on American soil. That’s unacceptable. That’s a direct threat to our sovereignty. We see similar things playing out on American campuses where innocent-sounding nonprofits that are ultimately connected to the CCP are being used to harass Taiwanese students, Chinese students who have been critical of the regime, and of course as you alluded there’s been all sorts of attempts to influence state and local governments. We also see to the north, our neighbors to the north in Canada, a profound corruption of the Canadian political system with a combination of coercion and bribery. So we need to make sure this isn’t happening here in America. To say nothing of just the propaganda war that’s underway every single day on our American social media platforms where we have Chinese government officials that are spreading dangerous anti-American propaganda. So it’s time to wake up before it’s too late because there are things that are worse than Cold War. Hot war is one of them, and surrender is the other thing that is worse than Cold War.”

Gallagher breaks the fight down into what he calls “three lines of effort”—first, a “military line of effort, there is an economic and statecraft line of effort, and the third is an ideological or human rights line of effort.” On most of these matters—particularly the first and third lines—Gallagher says Republicans and Democrats share “directional agreement.”

“Everyone wants to deter a conflict in the Taiwan Strait, there are some disagreements about how best to do that but large agreement,” Gallagher said. “Then, ask anybody—they don’t want to play the role in contributing to genocide in Xinjiang for instance. We have some bad actors in the private sector who want to ignore what’s going on there. But where it gets difficult, where the rubber meets the road and where Sen. [Marco] Rubio has really been a leader—an intellectual leader and a thought leader—is in the second bucket, that economic statecraft. How do we selectively decouple from China? That’s a big part of our challenge. I think as we lay out a framework for decoupling, the principles are obvious. In practice, they’re difficult but I think and keep coming back to three core principles in the committee’s early work.”

Decoupling the United States from China economically, Gallagher said, is about the United States stopping “fueling our own destruction.”

“We don’t want to send money—we don’t want American money to flow to China to be invested in Chinese military companies that are building things to kill Americans,” Gallagher said. “We don’t want American money to invest in Chinese AI companies that are going to be used to enslave Chinese citizens and export a model of effective totalitarian control around the world. We haver to stop fueling our own destruction. The second principle is we just need to be clear-eyed about the risks associated with doing business in China. If you do business in China, you do it by the grace of Xi Jinping. He owns your business, given just the massive power that he’s accumulated and all of these onerous national security laws as well as just the systemic risks that certain financial entities like these BIE securities create and the long-term risks of having your assets seized in the event of a conflict. The third and final thing I’d say, and this is the third principle, is we just need to reclaim our economic independence in key areas. We just can’t allow the Chinese to have the leverage that comes with dominating critical mineral production, dominating advanced pharmaceutical ingredient production. It would allow them to undermine our military power and our other forms of power in the event of a conflict if they threatened to withhold key things such as life-saving drugs. So those are the three principles. Putting them into practice is more difficult, but that’s what we’re trying to do on the committee. I do think we have a core group, a center of gravity, committed to getting more aggressive in terms of this competition and this new Cold War, because if we continue with the status quo, complacent mindset, we’re going to lose this thing in the early stages.”

The Chinese Communist Party has for decades now, since the end of the first Cold War between the United States and now-defunct Soviet Union, engaged in aggressive geopolitical power-and-influence-building diplomacy through programs like its Belt and Road Initiative. In the months leading up to the coronavirus pandemic, China had succeeded in flipping its first major western nation—a G-7 country—when Italy formally joined the Belt and Road Initiative. But that’s hardly the only effort Beijing has been engaging in across the Eurasian landmass into Africa and throughout the Pacific—even on this side of the planet, with efforts the CCP has engaged in in Latin America and throughout the Caribbean. China has pressured many Catholic-heavy nations in Latin America to formally change their diplomatic recognition of Taiwan to China—China refuses to formally recognize any nation that formally recognizes Taiwan—and even flipped some South American powers to use the Yuan instead of the U.S. dollar for trading purposes. Gallagher says that many Americans sometimes dismiss Belt and Road Initiative CCP victories as being far-distant, far-flung places around the world with no domestic national security implications—but that is increasingly not the case. The House’s China chief said, too, that the CCP’s actions in the western hemisphere threaten an incursion upon a modern-day Monroe Doctrine, the policy named for the fifth president of the United States of America James Monroe that argues the United States would view actions by world powers—then the Europeans, later the Soviets but now the Chinese—in the western hemisphere as hostile to the United States given the proximity of the rest of the Americas to the U.S. and their geographical distance from the rest of the world.

“I think when we talk Belt and Road, there’s a tendency to dismiss it as ‘oh that’s something that’s happening at the Gwadar Port in Pakistan’ or you know in a variety of African countries and ‘sure we should be concerned about it but it’s not a clear and present danger,’” Gallagher said. “I just would submit to you that this is happening in our own backyard. The Chinese Communist Party presents a threat to the modern-day Monroe Doctrine. They’re on a path to turn the Monroe Doctrine into the Mao Doctrine and surpass the United States as the regional power in Latin America. China has become the top trading partner for Brazil, Chile, Peru—and the second largest trading partner for many others. Over the last two decades, its trade with Latin America exploded from over $12 billion to $315 billion. It may double again by 2035. It’s using that economic leverage to coerce a lot of Latin American countries into advancing its interests, foreswearing recognition of Taiwan in many cases, critically they’re seeking to become the dominant player in the Panama Canal bypassing the United States and gaining control over operations at both ends of the Panama Canal which is a strategic chokepoint. Think of if they were able to restrict access to the Panama Canal through which $270 billion annual dollars of trade flows? They would have enormous leverage to make demands or disrupt the flow of American forces into the Indo-Pacific. Even closer to our southern border, we see the Mexican president AMLO basically running into the arms of the Chinese and saying a lot of things that are hostile to America and then of course they’re leading the crusade as you alluded to to replace the U.S. dollar as the global currency with the Yuan. Last summer, Putin and Xi agreed to ditch the U.S. dollar in trade between the two nations in principle. They’ve also had an agreement with Brazil, a deal to eliminate trade using the U.S. dollar. So this is increasingly concerning. They are in our own backyard and they are undermining the Monroe Doctrine. This is an area we just tend to neglect. We just tend to take for granted the fact that we have the luxury of friendly neighbors in a neighborhood we are the dominant power in. Increasingly that’s no longer the case.”

Gallagher’s mission—understanding and explaining the threat of the CCP, then beginning to chart a path forward for the U.S. through the raging conflict—is not without its pitfalls ahead. Sure, Democrats have joined the committee this year—after then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi last Congress reneged on a deal with now-Speaker McCarthy to create the exact same committee—but as he mentioned some do not see the issue here as clear as he does. As for whether President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and the rest of the Biden Administration see it this way—the executive branch ultimately sets U.S. foreign policy and the other policy priorities necessary to enact it—Gallagher said he is unsure though some seem clearer-eyed than others. Gallagher warned that many in Biden’s orbit seem more interested in relentlessly pursuing engagement with China than actually stopping China’s rise to power.

“You mentioned the spy balloon. There was a Reuters story that recently suggested some in the administration might have been slow-walking and might still be slow-walking the disclosures around the CCP spy balloon to help resuscitate a strategy of engagement with China,” Gallagher said. “But this quixotic attempt at having diplomatic meetings does not supersede the American public’s right to the truth about what happened to the spy balloon. Even worse, we can’t sideline critical priorities surrounding human rights, violations of our sovereignty, and export controls that are critical to our national security just to pursue one-sided engagement. If I have a concern about this administration, it’s that they seem to be chasing Chinese Communist Party officials around the world desperate to engage and they keep getting the stiff-arm. To the extent that then leads them to de-prioritize critical issues, whether it’s fentanyl precursors, whether it’s human rights issues, whether it’s export controls, I think that’s a bad strategy. The other thing I’ve said before is the administration is divided. There are some who I think have a more realistic view of China. But, there are many who believe that China is not our most important issue and it’s rather climate change. That creates an incoherence in their policy and that’s why you get some of this gobbledegook rhetoric around ‘well, we’re going to compete in some areas and then we’re going to cooperate in others and then we’re going to cooperate and compete with guardrails and this and that’ but all of that creates strategic confusion and of course climate change leads some in the administration to conclude we need to work with the Chinese Communist Party on climate change and if Xi Jinping cares about climate change. I think there’s a bit of naïveté underlying that and a bit of utopianism and that’s why we need to be honest, we need to be clear-eyed, we need to be realistic about the threat we are facing in the Chinese Communist Party. The threat is global. The threat is existential. If we don’t recognize that, we’re going to lose this Cold War in really its earliest stages.”

Chinese Spies Posing as Tourists Tried To Infiltrate Alaskan Military Bases, Officials Say

The Chinese flag flies behind a surveillance camera / Reuters

Suspected spies for the Communist Chinese Party have reportedly entered U.S. military bases in Alaska multiple times, pretending to be lost tourists.

One incident involved a car driven by Chinese citizens that passed security checkpoints and entered a base in Fairbanks. Soldiers found a drone in the car but the Chinese occupants claimed to be lost tourists. Other incidents appeared to be attempts to learn about the U.S. military capabilities in the state, U.S. officials told USA Today.

The news comes days after a Chinese fighter jet flew directly in front of a U.S. airplane, an event the Pentagon called "unnecessarily aggressive." The incident took place on May 26 over the South China Sea, where a Chinese J-16 fighter flew "in front of the nose of the RC-135, forcing the U.S. aircraft to fly through its wake turbulence," a statement from the Indo-Pacific Command said.

Sources briefed on recent high-level meetings between officials from the United States and United Kingdom recently said the countries have "no plan" on countering China's influence.

Most details remain classified about the Alaska base entries, but the supposed tourists, some of whom claimed to be searching for the northern lights, could have ulterior motives, USA Today reported:

Pentagon Grant to U.S. University That Feeds China Military Research Comes Under Congressional Microscope

Lawmakers are investigating a New York university that received a million-dollar Pentagon grant for missile research it conducts alongside an institution with ties to the Chinese military.

The House Select Committee on China is investigating Alfred University’s partnership with China’s University of Geosciences in Wuhan, which conducts classified military research for China’s army. The Department of Defense recently awarded Alfred University $13.5 million to study hypersonic missiles. Because the University of Geosciences "performs similar research" for China’s People’s Liberations Army (PLA), lawmakers say Alfred risks exposing sensitive military information to Beijing.

"You are conducting advanced, hypersonic weapons-related research while actively partnering with a Chinese university that performs similar research for the PLA," the House Select Committee on China wrote in a Wednesday letter to Alfred University president Mark Zupan, a copy of which was obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. "It is vital to U.S. national interests that sensitive military research is safeguarded from our foreign adversaries."

The investigation marks the opening salvo in the House Select Committee on China’s larger drive to protect sensitive research from falling into China’s hands, according to committee sources briefed on the matter. Congressional investigators are examining a host of American universities that maintain ties to China while also working on Pentagon projects. Stanford University, for instance, has accepted more than $27 million from Chinese donors since the beginning of 2021, while also performing sensitive research for the Pentagon.

The grant is of particular concern to the House committee due to its focus on hypersonic missiles, an advanced military technology in which China has been heavily investing. Lawmakers are concerned that this sensitive research project is susceptible to the Communist regime’s espionage operations, which are known to target American universities engaged in sensitive military projects.

Alfred University also hosts a chapter of the Confucius Institute, a Chinese Communist Party-backed program that Beijing uses to peddle influence on, and steal intellectual property from, American universities.

Many American colleges have shut down their Confucius Institutes due to spy concerns and an impending federal order that bars the federal government from awarding research projects to any university hosting a Confucius Institute. That ban will become effective in October of this year, raising questions about why the Pentagon decided to fund a school that is still hosting a CCP outpost.

"Unless Alfred University closes its Confucius Institute or receives a waiver, this grant will be in violation of the law," the House committee wrote, noting that the school’s Pentagon grant is scheduled to run through 2027.

The committee sent a similar letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, warning him that the "DOD is funding advanced, hypersonic weapons-related research at an American university that actively partners with a Chinese university that performs similar research for the PLA."

Lawmakers ordered both the school and Pentagon to provide them with a trove of internal communications related to the research project and Alfred University’s ties to CCP entities. This includes "all documents and information regarding Alfred University’s Confucius Institute," as well as information about projects the school is conducting alongside China’s University of Geosciences.

The Pentagon must now disclose to the committee exactly how it is working to stop China from stealing sensitive research contracted out to American schools. Defense Department officials will also have to brief the House China committee on these efforts.

With the federal ban on Confucius Institute’s scheduled to take effect later this year, the Pentagon is offering to grant some schools waivers, meaning that they can continue to host Chinese embassies while still receiving federal dollars, the Free Beacon first reported in April.

Many of America’s top colleges have been hesitant to cut ties with China because the country donates millions to their research projects. American schools have taken in $426 million from China since 2011, with much of this money fueling research projects.

The University of Delaware, which houses the Biden Institute, since 2017 has taken more than $6 million from the country.

Recipe for Disaster: A Democrat President and a Democrat Senate

By Warren Beatty

We have a Democrat president who will nominate anybody who will further his agenda and a Democrat-controlled Senate that places ideology and vote-buying ahead of country and will approve any cabinet member or judge that a Democrat president nominates.

We all know what a doddering old fool the current occupant of the Oval Office is, so there's no need to document his latest gaffes.  Let's examine instead four of his nominees, starting with Secretary of State Tony Blinken and his connection with George Soros.

Blinken's father, Donald Blinken, and his wife Vera funded the Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives at Soros' Central European University (CEU).  In one Soros Foundations Network report from 2002, Blinken was listed on the Board of Trustees of CEU after Soros and Aryeh Neier (who served as the president of the Open Society Institute from 1993 to 2012).

Like father, like son.  Blinken, in May 2021, wrote, "Former President of Albania Sali Berisha's corrupt acts undermined democracy in Albania.  I am publicly designating Berisha and his immediate family members as ineligible for entry into the United States."

Why?  Berisha had denounced Blinken's action as the work of George Soros.  When confronted by Congressman Lee Zeldin (NY-1), Blinken said, "I don't have anything to share."  He provided only platitudes but no evidence.

Let's examine Blinken's "accomplishments" without Soros.

Blinken said in remarks in April 2021, "As Secretary of State, my job is to make sure our foreign policy delivers for the American people -- by taking on the biggest challenges they face and seizing the biggest opportunities that can improve their lives.  No challenge more clearly captures the two sides of this coin than climate."

Blinken then doubled down, trying in September to justify his concern for climate change by blaming it for worsening conflicts around world.  "Look at almost every place where you see threats to international peace and security today -- and you'll find that climate change is making things less peaceful, less secure, and rendering our response even more challenging."

About Blinken's confrontation with the Chinese delegation in Alaska, former CIA analyst and National Security Council chief of staff Fred Fleitz said, "It was one of the most incompetent displays I've ever seen by an American diplomat.  I think they were just virtue signaling before the lapdog American media.  It was a serious mistake and it set back our policies and it made them look inept because they weren't ready for the counterattack by Chinese officials."

In July 2021, Blinken waived sanctions on Iran's oil trade to allow Japan and Korea to infuse billions of dollars into Iran's failing economy.  Then in February 2022, Blinken signed several sanction waivers related to Iran's civilian nuclear activities in a move, he said, was designed to "entice Iran to return to compliance with the 2015 deal that it has been violating since former president Donald Trump withdrew from the agreement in 2018 and re-imposed US sanctions."

Alejandro Mayorkas, the Secretary of Homeland Security who keeps insisting the southern border is secure, intervened to help obtain a sentence commutation for the son of a major Democrat Party donor.  The son was a convicted drug dealer.

Then U.S. attorney Mayorkas approached the White House in 2000 on behalf of Carlos Vignali, a convicted drug trafficker whom prosecutors said was a leading figure in a drug ring with nearly three dozen members that stretched from California to Minnesota.

Vignali's father was a wealthy real-estate developer and a substantial donor to California Democrats.  He persuaded more than nine important Democrat politicians to approach Bill Clinton on his son's behalf.  He increased his political donations as his son's trial began, then donated ever-increasing amounts to the Democratic National Committee during their convention in Los Angeles.  The Vignali family also contributed to Xavier Becerra's political campaigns prior to his advocacy for Carlos.  Becerra is currently the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Andrew Dunne, an assistant U.S. attorney in Minneapolis who prosecuted Vignali's case, said, "There was a lot of influence, oh yes."

Clinton, on his last day in office, freed Vignali after he had served less than six years of a more than fourteen-year sentence.

Further, an Obama-era inspector general report asserted that Mayorkas had assisted foreign investors in the EB-5 visa program who were connected to top Democrats.  "Mayorkas 'pressured staff' to expedite the review of a Las Vegas hotel and casino investment at the request of then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid," and made "...an 'unprecedented' intervention to help GTA, a company chaired by former Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe."  A third intervention for former Democratic Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell resulted in the overturning of another EB-5 refusal.

If not for Mayorkas' intervention, all the cases would have been decided differently.

As if Ketanji Brown Jackson, who can't (or wouldn't) define what a woman is, wasn't bad enough, we now have Nancy Gbana Abudu, Biden's nominee for the 11th Circuit Court.

Biden said Abudu's nomination was part of his "...promise to ensure that the nation's courts reflect the diversity that is one of our greatest assets as a country -- both in terms of personal and professional backgrounds."  Her nomination came as the administration and congressional Democrats emphasized voting rights and alleged voter suppression in Republican-led states such as Georgia, where Abudu serves.

She is late of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).  While at the ACLU, she boasted, "95 percent of my work is in voting rights."  She has compared the ban on felons voting to slavery and proof of citizenship to voter suppression.  "When you add laws that prohibit people with a criminal conviction from voting, it's practically the same system as during slavery -- Black people who have lost their freedom and cannot vote."  I guess she thinks non-Blacks never lose their right to vote.

Last August Abudu urged the Senate to pass HR 4, the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.  She said, "As HR 4 moves to the Senate, some senators have already committed to doing everything in their power to oppose the bill -- up to and including leveraging a legislative tool popular with pro-Jim Crow senators of the past -- to prevent its passage and to further erode the fundamental right to vote."

I don't think Abudu ever read HR 4.  If she had, she would know HR 4 restores preclearance, which requires states to prove “that the proposed [voting] law would have neither the purpose nor the effect of denying or abridging the right to vote on account of race, color, or membership in a language minority group.” This concept was struck down by SCOTUS in 2013.

Blinken and Mayorkas the men will pass, but the damage they've done will be with us for a long time.   As will Abudu and her legacy.

Tony Blinken Could Become First Secretary of State Held in Contempt of Congress

Secretary of State Antony Blinken / Reuters

May 15, 2023

Tony Blinken could be the first-ever secretary of state to face criminal charges from Congress, after House Republicans said they plan to hold him in contempt for failing to produce documents about the botched Afghanistan withdrawal.

House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Michael McCaul (R., Texas) said Sunday that he will "move forward to contempt proceedings" against Blinken. "This would be the first time a secretary of state has ever been held in contempt by Congress and it's criminal contempt, so I don't take it lightly," McCaul said on ABC’s This Week.

McCaul’s comments come after Blinken missed a deadline last Thursday to turn over a trove of internal State Department documents to the committee about the bungled evacuation that left 13 Americans dead. Included among the requested documents is a classified State Department dissent cable that is believed to show Biden administration officials knew the Taliban would quickly reassume control of the country once American forces departed.

The committee has already issued a subpoena for these documents, but the State Department is stonewalling the probe. McCaul warned Blinken earlier this month that his continued refusal to hand over the dissent cable would result in contempt charges. The dissent cable, sources said, is thought to be a smoking gun that could prove the Biden administration moved forward with the withdrawal even after it was told the outcome would be disastrous.

Contempt proceedings could take several weeks, and it’s possible Blinken could reach an agreement with the committee to turn over the documents in that time. The House Foreign Affairs Committee would first need to vote to send a criminal contempt recommendation to the floor, and then a full House vote would need to be scheduled.

McCaul accused the State Department of hiding "key evidence" from lawmakers investigating the Afghanistan evacuation, which also left hundreds of Americans stranded in the country under Taliban rule.

"The American people, particularly veterans and gold star families, deserve answers on how the Afghanistan withdrawal went so catastrophically wrong," McCaul told the Washington Free Beacon. "The July 2021 dissent cable from Kabul by 23 officials expressing dire concern over the Biden administration’s policy and the Department’s official response are key evidence."

Blinken would be the first secretary of state—and the third-ever cabinet official—to be held in contempt of Congress. In 1975, the House Select Committee on Intelligence voted to charge then-secretary of state Henry Kissinger for failing to turn over records about covert operations during the Nixon administration, but the committee later withdrew the recommendation. Former attorney general Eric Holder was held in contempt in 2012, and former attorney general Bill Barr was held in contempt in 2019.

"The Department is now in violation of its legal obligation to produce these documents and must do so immediately,"  McCaul wrote in a May 8 letter warning Blinken that charges could be brought against him. "Should the Department fail to comply with its legal obligation, the Committee is prepared to take the necessary steps to enforce its subpoena, including holding you in contempt of Congress and/or initiating a civil enforcement proceeding."

The State Department told the Free Beacon in March that it was having trouble producing all of the requested documents due to their classified nature, but that it had briefed McCaul and his committee several times on the contents of the communications.

"We are working as expeditiously as possible to accommodate what was an extensive and detailed request, and our provision of information and documents to the committee will continue as we collect and process additional responsive records," a State Department spokesman said at the time. The dissent cable is particularly problematic for the State Department, as it publicly identifies those American officials who came forward to warn against an early evacuation.

In addition to the dissent cable, McCaul has subpoenaed scores of internal documents that could provide the American public with a minute-by-minute accounting of the Afghanistan withdrawal, including "all reports, intelligence assessments, and intelligence community products." Most of the information currently produced by the State Department is heavily redacted, including public talking points that were ultimately provided to the press.

Blinken ‘Welcomes’ China to Mediate in Ukraine-Russia War

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a speech Friday in Helskini, Finland, that the U.S. welcomed mediation efforts by China, Brazil, or any other nation to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Blinken’s address was billed in advance as a way to emphasize “all the ways in which Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has been a strategic failure.” However, it also offered the following strategic twist:

The United States has been working with Ukraine, and allies and partners around the world, to build consensus around the four [sic] elements of a just and lasting peace. To be clear: The United States welcomes any addition that helps bring President Putin to the table to engage in meaningful diplomacy. We’ll support efforts, whether by Brazil, China, or any other nation, if they help find a way to a just and lasting peace, consistent with the principles of the United Nations Charter. Here’s what that means.

Blinken went on to explain:

A just and lasting peace must uphold the UN Charter, and affirm the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence.

A just and lasting peace requires Ukraine’s full participation and assent. Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.

A just and lasting peace must support Ukraine’s reconstruction and recovery, with Russia paying its share.

A just and lasting peace must address both accountability, and reconciliation.

A just and lasting peace can open a pathway to sanctions relief connected to concrete actions, especially military withdrawal.

A just and lasting peace must end Russia’s war of aggression.

While outlining Russia’s failures in the war, Blinken tried to reassure the world that the U.S. wanted the best for Russia. He also claimed that the U.S. does not want to remove President Vladimir Putin from power in Russia — despite President Joe Biden himself demanding that Putin be removed in a speech he gave in Warsaw last year.

Reports of a Chinese plan for peace in Ukraine emerged this spring, with French President Emmanuel Macron shuttling to Beijing. The Biden administration, which has declined to pressure Ukraine to pursue peace talks, downplayed the Chinese effort but did not dismiss it entirely.

It is possible Biden wants to maintain a bellicose stance while allowing China to mediate — at the price of allowing China to expand its foothold in Europe.

China and India Received Record Amounts of Russian Crude in May

The tanker Sun Arrows loads its cargo of liquefied natural gas from the Sakhalin-2 project in the port of Prigorodnoye, Russia, on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021. A new report says Russia sent significantly more oil and coal to India and China over the summer compared with the start of the …
AP Photo

Data from two top ship-tracking firms revealed that shipments of Russian crude oil to China and India, Russia’s top two buyers, rose by ten percent in May to hit record levels despite the Biden administration’s pleas to cut down on Moscow’s prodigious income stream by respecting sanctions and price caps.

The data from ship tracking firms Kpler and Vortexa found between 62 and 68 million barrels of Russian crude arriving in India last month, while China took in 41 million to 50 million barrels. China might have imported even more, as its refining companies seem eager to stock up on Russian products at discounted prices and reduced shipping costs, but the faltering Chinese economy is hindering energy demand.

Reuters noted that Russia is pumping so much oil that Middle Eastern and African producers are losing a substantial amount of business to Moscow. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) reportedly plans to once again ask Russia to reduce its supply to bring oil prices up at the June 4 cartel meeting, but the Russians are expected to refuse the request.

The Group of Seven (G7) nations, including the United States and the European Union, placed a price cap of $60 per barrel on Russian oil in December in a bid to reduce the amount of income Moscow can divert to its attack on Ukraine.

The G7 decided to keep the price cap at $60 in April, despite calls from some countries to raise the cap to reflect rising global oil prices, and others who wanted the cap lowered to cut deeper into Russia’s war finances. G7 members have rejected stronger bans on Russian oil because they would be difficult to enforce and could result in global energy price spikes that would hurt almost everyone except Russia.

The G7 and the U.S. Treasury Department said in April they would intensify their efforts to prevent Russia from selling oil above the price cap. The Treasury Department warned U.S. companies to avoid several specific cap-evasion schemes, which in some cases involved oil tankers tampering with their automated identification systems to conceal their activities.

report from the Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) in April warned that Russia’s big oil customers are “laundering” the oil by reselling some of it to G7 companies that would normally be restricted from buying it. CREA estimated that some $46 billion in forbidden Russian oil products have been laundered through buyers in China and India, as well as other big Russian customers like Turkey, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.

CREA also found that 56 percent of Russian crude oil shipped to these third-party “laundromat” companies was carried on vessels owned or ensured by companies in nations that enforce the price caps on Russian oil.

“This is currently a legal way of exporting oil products to countries that are imposing sanctions on Russia as the product origin has been changed. This process provides funds to Putin’s war chest,” the report said.

CREA cited Kpler data to contend that Russian exports returned to pre-war, pre-sanctions levels as of April, although the discounted prices meant Russia was making less money on the oil. The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimated in April that Russia’s total oil revenues are about 27 percent lower than they were before the invasion of Ukraine.

A Reuters market analysis on Monday suggested that some of Russia’s exports “may be at risk in coming months” as concerns about the oil “laundromats” critiqued by CREA bubble up through the supply chain. Oil purchases and shipping are arranged months in advance, so in another month or two, the concerns about price cap evasion voiced by the G7 nations in April could begin having a real effect on Russia’s export volume.

“This may lead to some slackening of demand for India’s refined products, which in turn is likely to force another round of re-aligning product flows as the oil industry battles to continue to use Russian crude and products,” the analysis said.

Biden Likely to Decide by End of Year Whether to Keep U.S. Tariffs on China

President Joe Biden is likely to decide sometime before the end of the year whether to keep billions of dollars worth of United States tariffs on China-made goods, officials suggest.

U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) Katherine Tai, an economic nationalist, is currently reviewing the billions of dollars worth of tariffs on China-made goods in accordance with trade laws that require tariffs to be reviewed every four years.

The China tariffs were first imposed in 2018 and 2019 by then-President Trump to counter decades of free trade policy that helped eliminate nearly four million American jobs in the last two decades.

Chart via Coalition for a Prosperous America

In an interview with Reuters, USTR officials suggested that the review process is likely to wrap up before the end of the year. Industry insiders expect a decision to be made around September.

The China tariffs worked to usher in a much-needed manufacturing boom across the U.S. while not raising prices for American consumers. Likewise, a study from the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) notes that there is no connection between tariffs and inflation.

Biden has hinted at further entanglement with China in recent weeks.

At the G7 Summit, Biden vowed that his administration is “not looking to decouple [the United States] from China.” That statement came after he vetoed a bipartisan-approved plan that would have reinstated U.S. tariffs on China-made solar panels — siding with the highly powerful import lobby against American manufacturers.

Last year, when Biden’s USTR began the review process, the United Steelworkers (USW) pleaded with the administration to keep the China tariffs in place.

“Too many U.S. companies have failed to take needed actions to address the threat posed by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) policies,” USW executives wrote. “Many continue to outsource production, and research and development, undermining U.S. competitiveness and national security interests … our government must act in the national interest to strengthen our economy for the future.”

A number of Republicans want Biden to go even further than keeping existing U.S. tariffs on China. Sens. Tom Cotton (R-AR), Ted Budd (R-NC), Rick Scott (R-FL), and J.D. Vance (R-OH) have proposed legislation that would end the nation’s free trade policy with China altogether.

Similar legislation from Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) would do the same.

From 2001 to 2018, United States free trade with China eliminated 3.7 million American jobs from the economy — 2.8 million of which were lost in American manufacturing. During that same period, at least 50,000 American manufacturing plants closed down.

Weeds grow in the parking lot of the closed Culp Weaving plant in Burlington, Noerth Carolina, on June 8, 2009. The upholstery giant moved to China to take advantage of cheaper labor. (Jim R. Bounds/AP)

Those massive job losses have coincided with a booming U.S.-China trade deficit. In 1985, before China entered the World Trade Organization (WTO), the U.S. trade deficit with China totaled $6 billion. In 2019, the U.S. trade deficit with China totaled more than $345 billion.

While skyrocketing U.S. trade deficits have led to devastation across America’s working- and middle-class communities over the last two decades, tariffs would be a boon for reshoring jobs and boosting wages, studies show. One such study finds that tariffs on nearly all foreign imports would create about ten million American jobs while boosting domestic output.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: Wall Street, China Turning American Farms into ‘Corporate Fiefdoms’

A “farmland buying spree” by Wall Street hedge funds and China is turning American farms into “corporate fiefdoms,” Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says.

In 2021, as Breitbart News reported, Chinese investors bought up $6.1 billion worth of United States housing, real estate, and land. Kennedy, in a Twitter post, criticized the federal government’s allowing hedge funds and foreign countries like China to buy up American land.

“Farmland buying spree by Wall Street’s mammoth hedge funds and China are turning America’s and the globe’s agricultural landscapes into corporate fiefdoms and farmers into serfs,” Kennedy wrote. “Many people do not understand that small farms actually outproduce large industrial farms.”

The Center for Research on Globalization report posted by Kennedy details how a small group of corporate behemoths dominate the nation’s food industry and, thus, have a stake in who controls American farmland.

Likewise, China, according to a 2021 USDA report, owns nearly 384,000 acres of American farmland –195,000 acres of which were purchased by Chinese investors and the other 189,000 acres of which were purchased by U.S. corporations with Chinese shareholders.

From 2019 to 2020 alone, China bought up 105,000 acres of American farmland. Then, in 2021, China purchased another 32,000 acres of land across the United States.

Like China, American billionaires are buying up America’s farmland and real estate at historic levels — driving up real estate prices for working- and middle-class communities. Today, billionaire Bill Gates owns almost 250,000 acres of American farmland, making him the largest private owner of agricultural land in the nation.

Sens. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Katie Britt (R-AL) filed legislation months ago that would ban Chinese nationals and Chinese companies from buying and owning real estate in the United States. The legislation, and its nearly identical bill in the House, does not have any Democrat co-sponsors.

JOE BIDEN CAN ALWAYS BE FOUND CROSSING OVER TO THE ENEMY'S SIDE!

HUNTER AND HIS DADDY ARE NOT THE ONLY SLUTS FOR RED CHINA!

Since Biden’s inauguration, the University of Pennsylvania has disclosed at least $14 million in donations from China or Hong Kong, the Free Beacon reported last week. The names of these donors have yet to be disclosed by the Department of Education, breaking the precedent of prior administrations which published foreign donor names in a public database.

As the San Francisco Chronicle noted, the Chinese spy on Feinstein’s staff for 20 years even attended Chinese Consulate functions for the senator, who has her own version of Hunter Biden. As Ben Weingarten reported in the Federalist in 2018, Feinstein’s husband Richard Blum has “profited handsomely from the greatly expanded China trade she supported.”

The Decline and Fall of the American Empire

A cursory examination of history reveals that the United States is mired in the same process that precipitated the collapse of the great empires of the past.  The foibles and failures of human nature and their impact on the rise and fall of empires is amazingly consistent and the end result always inevitable.  Can this nation avoid a similar fate?

Empires are defined as great military and economic powers encompassing large occupied or controlled land areas.  Although they vary greatly, they average around 250 years in duration.  The United States will be celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2026.

In 1976, Sir John Glubb, a distinguished British diplomat and general, wrote an essay on the fate of empires throughout history.  He enumerated, based on 3,000 years of historical data, the six various stages in the rise and fall of empires.

These stages and how they apply to the United States are as follows:

  • The Age of Pioneers       (The Revolutionary War and the founding of the Nation)
  • The Age of Conquests    (The Western Expansion to the Pacific Ocean)
  • The Age of Commerce   (Industrialization and evolution of a dominant middle class)
  • The Age of Affluence     (The meteoric rise of the standard of living in the 20th Century)
  • The Age of Intellect        (Global domination in the arts, medicine and technology)
  • The Age of Decadence   (For 30+ years America has been increasingly mired in this age )

The Age of Decadence is marked by debauchery, defensiveness, pessimism, materialism, a significant weakening of religion, frivolity, a welfare state, and a massive influx of unassimilated foreigners.  These symptoms of national decadence are the end product of long periods of prosperity and power, love of wealth and status, and self-obsession by the ruling elites leading to fateful government corruption and instability.

Sir John Glubb is definitive in stating that in all ancient and modern fallen empires, “there does not appear to be any doubt that money is the agent which causes the decline of strong, brave and self-confident people.”

An examination of various empires from the Persian Empire to the Roman Empire to the British Empire confirms Glubb’s hypothesis that pursuit and accumulation of money or wealth is the portal through which power over the masses is achieved.  The amassing of wealth and thus power evolves into a quasi-religion that over time triggers the descent into the age of decadence and corruption that inevitably leads to the collapse and conquering of empires by their external enemies.

In the early stage of the age of decadence, materialism becomes a driving force in society, inducing many in the upper classes to indulge in excessive, often conspicuous consumption as an absurdly wealthy elite emerges.  Far too many societal elites and non-elites become convinced that increased consumption and social status is the key to happiness, but in its pursuit they become demonstrably more pessimistic and less happy and fulfilled.

The search for happiness and fulfillment leads to imprudence and voyeurism becoming central to the culture.  Unhappy people searching for diversion became fixated on celebrities and captive to evolving voyeurism.  And voyeurism takes on a more sinister aspect as people in both ancient and modern empires become increasingly desensitized to graphic images and willing spectators or participants in violence and debauchery.

Debauchery is an oft-recurring theme in the demise of empires.  Societies develop an abnormally immature obsession with sex.  An obsession that requires increasing deviancy to satiate coupled with concurrent abuse of children and the marginalization and exploitation of women.  Meanwhile, the use of drugs and alcohol expands exponentially.  Debauchery is a symptom of the absence of meaning in people’s lives leading to the self-destruction of society and concomitantly a loss of a sense of duty and patriotism.

Other symptoms common among many empires in the last stages of decline include:

  • Massive and growing disparities between rich and poor and an undisciplined and over-extended military.
  • An intensification of internal political hatreds and a corresponding inability to reconcile in order to save the empire.
  • An ever increasing level of self-serving corruption and patronage among the ruling class.
  • A massive influx of unassimilated foreigners whose allegiance and cultural ties are  with their native lands and not the host nation and who do not feel obligated to defend the empire.
  • Severe financial and economic crises linked to the unending debasement of the currency.
  • An ongoing and irreversible decline in monotheistic religions that emphasize self-sacrifice, temperance, a sense of duty as well as honor and integrity.

Additionally, while the decline of empires is precipitated by internal factors, the final collapse is marked by defeat at the hands of powerful external enemies.  The United States is presently facing an implacable and powerful external enemy, Communist China.  A foe this nation’s elites, in their self-indulgent pursuit of wealth, essentially created by willfully intertwining the American economy with a ruthless and dictatorial communist regime.

Unfortunately, the vast bulk of the American citizenry is not aware of the historically precarious situation this nation finds itself.  Nor are they aware that the policies and actions of the Marxist controlled Democrat party over the past 20 years is a window into what will happen to this nation if they continue in power.  Another four to eight years of Democrat Party rule will permanently embed:

  • Unchecked corruption in government and America’s corporations and institutions.
  • The ongoing debasement of the currency, uncontrolled spending and economic instability,
  • The continued massive influx of unassimilated foreigners,
  • The intensification of political animosity and the persecution of any political opposition,
  • An undisciplined, ideologically driven and feckless military incapable of confronting China,
  • Drug-addled and crime-ridden dystopias in America’s major urban and suburban areas,
  • Continued and accelerated mainstreaming of decadence and sexual debauchery

As the last three years have amply proven, decadence and sexual debauchery will continue apace.  All forms of deviancy, including but not limited to pedophilia, will be forcefully mainstreamed.  Religious liberties will be denigrated and curtailed.  Infanticide and state-sponsored euthanasia will be legalized.  Materialism and voyeurism will become the new state religion.  And virtually all drugs will be legalized and easily available.

As the United States descends into insolvency, societal chaos and upheaval, Communist China, with which the Democrat party is intertwined, will actively abet and promote the dissolution of this country as it will be waiting vulture-like to feast on the carcass.

The inevitable can perhaps be mitigated if a significant majority of the populace acknowledges the current plight of the nation and initiates a return to the nation’s founding Judeo-Christian principles.  Additionally, it is imperative that either Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis wins in November of 2024 and for a populist Republican Party to control both the presidency and Congress for a minimum of two presidential terms.

Republican primary voters must also acknowledge reality and not be captive to cultlike sycophancy for either Trump or DeSantis.  They need to ask themselves: who can win against a corrupt and devious Democrat party reliant on voter fraud and manipulation in the battleground states of Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Nevada and Pennsylvania?  Who has the coattails to assure the capture of both Houses of Congress?  And can that person can either serve a second term or make certain another Republican will win in 2028?

It is not hyperbole to say the upcoming election cycle is the most determinative in American history.  If the Republicans fail to win the presidency and Congress in 2024, this nation will have passed the point of no return and a new chapter in the annals of the decline and fall of great nations will be written.

Biden Admin Defends Ford’s Work on China’s ‘Belt & Road Initiative’

State Department says project will bring Beijing in line with ESG guidelines

President Joe Biden and Chinese president Xi Jinping

The Biden administration is defending Ford Motor Company’s work on a flagship project of China’s controversial Belt and Road Initiative, saying the American company’s involvement will help bring Beijing more in line with progressive investment standards.

Ford boasts about its partnership with a Chinese mining company on "one of the flagship projects under the Belt and Road Initiative," which U.S. officials have called a military and economic security threat. But in a letter to Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.), State Department Assistant Secretary of Legislative Affairs Naz Durakoglu indicated that the Biden administration’s main concern with China’s Belt and Road Initiative is that the companies involved have "poor labor and ESG records." ESG is an acronym for a progressive-backed investment strategy that stands for "environmental, social, and corporate governance."

The letter, which was obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, suggests the Biden administration is no longer directly opposing the Belt and Road Initiative, and is now focused on improving the labor conditions of Beijing’s operation. The news comes over a month after the U.S. ambassador to Indonesia, Sung Kim, praised Ford’s partnership with China’s Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Company on a nickel production facility in Indonesia. Rubio asked the State Department to investigate Kim’s comments in a letter earlier this month, to which Durakoglu has now replied.

Durakoglu said the Biden administration was concerned that the People’s Republic of China was using the Belt and Road Initiative to "advance its geopolitical strategy via PRC-controlled businesses with poor labor and ESG records."

"[China]-controlled mining companies in Indonesia that are not affiliated with U.S. companies generally maintain poor labor and environmental standards but currently dominate the Indonesian nickel sector," wrote Durakoglu. "Indonesian officials, including President Widodo, are focused on attracting additional countries’ firms to invest in the sector to raise labor and ESG standards."

Durakoglu added that the State Department "welcome[s] Indonesia’s aspirations to improve labor and ESG practices in this critical sector."

China’s "Belt and Road Initiative" is a massive, multi-continent infrastructure project that U.S. officials have described as a global security threat. The United States government has urged other countries not to participate in the initiative.

In 2021, President Joe Biden launched the "Build Back Better World" project, also known as "B3W," which was intended to counter the Belt and Road Initiative. But since then, there has been little public reporting on the American program’s progress.

The State Department did not respond to a request for comment.

VP Biden’s Former Assistant: Classified Docs Left Unlocked in Penn Biden Center Closet

Classified documents were transported from then-Vice President Joe Biden’s safekeeping to the Penn Biden Center, where they were kept in an unlocked closet and remained accessible to center employees and potentially others, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) revealed Tuesday after an interview with Biden’s former assistant, Kathy Chung.

Chung, who current Biden administration officials appear to blame for the mishandling of Biden’s classified documents, told Comer that Biden’s classified documents remained unsecured at the Penn Biden Center for years and remained accessible to her until May 2022.

“This story does not begin in November 2022, as represented by President Biden’s attorney,” Comer said in a statement. “[T]hen-White House Counsel Dana Remus tasked Kathy Chung with retrieving these boxes from the Penn Biden Center as early as May 2022.”

Public records reported by the New York Post suggest that Chinese Communist Party-linked individuals or entities donated at least $54 million between 2014 and 2019 to the Penn Biden Center.

According to a CNN source, the classified documents found at Biden’s “private office” at the center pertain to Iran, the U.K., and Ukraine, where the Biden family conducted business deals.

On Monday, Comer raised concerns about Biden’s classified document scandal in connection with the Biden family business schemes. “We don’t the know the true extent of what he [Joe Biden] has done,” Comer said. “All we know is he had classified documents scattered all over the place dating back to the time as U.S. senator.”

“There is one document in particular that I can tell you from my investigation of Biden family influence peddling that we are very concerned about with respect to the document that Hunter Biden sent to officials at Burisma in Ukraine,” Comer said. “It was a government document. We are concerned that it may have been one of the classified documents.”

Comer’s investigation comes as Chung was hired as Joe Biden’s assistant after a recommendation from Hunter Biden. Chung appears in numerous email threads on Hunter’s “laptop from hell,” including Hunter’s correspondence to Chung about being hired as Joe Biden’s assistant.

According to Legistorm, Chung worked for Joe Biden until January 19, 2017, right before Joe Biden left the vice presidency. However, she told Comer she was tasked by a former White House lawyer to access the documents as recently as May 2022, contradicting statements from Joe Biden’s lawyers about the timeline of events.

The White House has failed to fully explain why Joe Biden’s lawyers were looking through the Penn Biden Center papers on November 2 when the classified documents were discovered.

Notably, the classified document scandal was leaked to CBS News on January 9, weeks after the initial trove was found by Biden’s personal lawyers in November. The establishment media has reported at least three times that Biden and the DOJ agreed to hide the scandal from public view with likely no plans to disclose it.

Joe Biden is currently under investigation by Special Counsel Robert Hur in connection with classified documents found at his Wilmington home and in his office at the Penn Biden Center.

Breitbart Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris’s investigative work at the New York Post on the Hunter Biden “laptop from hell” also captured international headlines when she, along with Miranda Devine, revealed that Joe Biden was intimately involved in Hunter’s businesses, appearing to even have a 10 percent stake in a company the scion formed with officials at the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party.

Hunter has reportedly sold five paintings worth $75,000 each to an anonymous buyer. Hunter’s art dealer, Georges Bergès, has previously boasted he had strong ties to businessmen in Communist China, which has concerned many due to the Biden family’s business ventures abroad.

“We are 95% sure that that artwork went to China,” Comer said. “We don’t know where exactly that went to in China, but we’re going to try to find out when we get subpoena power.”

Kevin McCarthy Pledges Subpoenas for 51 Intel Agents in Wake of Hunter Biden ‘Twitter Files’

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy said Saturday on FNC’s “One Nation” that he will bring the 51 intel agents that signed a letter that said the Hunter Biden information was Russia collusion to testify at a congressional hearing.

Host Brian Kilmeade asked, “We saw the revelations coming out of Twitter as Elon Musk is unmasking the corruption that existed there and the denials that they testified about. So for you personally you have another move you want to make. Not only do we want to hear from the former executives of Twitter and the other entities, but you have something else you want to say.”

McCarthy said, Yeah, I do. This is egregious what we are finding. They should not have section 230 to start out with, but we also have to go further. What did Facebook and Google do as well because they became an arm of the Democratic Party and an arm of government.”

He continued, “Those 51 intel agents that signed a letter that said the Hunter Biden information was all wrong — was Russia collusion — many of them have a security clearance. We are going to bring them before committee. I’m going to have them have a hearing. Why did they sign it? Why did they lie to the American public? A Clapper, a Brennan? Why did you use the reputation that America was able to give to you more information, but use it for a political purpose and lie to the American public?”

In 2018 and 2020, Breitbart Senior Contributor and Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer published Secret Empires and Profiles in Corruption. Each book hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and exposed how Hunter Biden and Joe Biden flew aboard Air Force Two in 2013 to China before Hunter’s firm inked a $1.5 billion deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China less than two weeks after the trip. Schweizer’s work also uncovered the Biden family’s other vast and lucrative foreign deals and cronyism. Breitbart Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris’ investigative work at the New York Post on the Hunter Biden “laptop from hell” also captured international headlines when she, along with Miranda Devine, revealed that Joe Biden was intimately involved in Hunter’s businesses, appearing to even have a 10 percent stake in a company the scion formed with officials at the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party.

According to the article, Falun Gong and its associated media, including the Epoch Times, have engaged in "conspiracy narratives" targeting Democrats and the Chinese Communist Party and of "links" between Joe Biden and the CCP.  In fact, a great deal of evidence is emerging in the Comer investigation to show that those links are far from being conspiracy narratives.  (See also a 2020 New York Times article, which labels Falun Gong "a leading purveyor of right-wing disinformation.")

The Group the Chinese Communists Fear the Most

By Jeffrey Folks

I have rarely heard it mentioned in the mainstream media, but, according to reports, during the 1990s in communist China, thirty thousand members of Falun Gong were rounded up and executed.  The founder of Falun Gong, Li Hongzhi, fled China and now lives in the U.S., while in China members of the order went underground.  According to Freedom House, "Falun Gong practitioners across China have since [July 1999] been subjected to widespread surveillance, arbitrary detention, horrific torture, and extrajudicial killing — abuses which continue today."  Nonetheless, there are still some 100 million practitioners worldwide, and the movement continues to grow.

Information concerning the repression of Falun Gong is a Chinese state secret, with severe penalties for anyone attempting to obtain data.  As the Falun Data Infocenter puts it: "The CCP has also used political and financial influence around the world to either keep journalists silent, or drive false narratives about Falun Gong."  With total control inside China and compliance by foreign journalists, the Chinese Communist Party has driven a false narrative that minimizes the number of Falun Gong practitioners and hides data on the number of those abducted, tortured, killed, and killed for their organs, thus totally obscuring the record.  At the same time, Chinese and foreign media continue to suggest that the victim is the abuser: the false idea that Falun Gong is a cult with dangerous potential.

For anyone who has studied the history of or practiced Falun Gong, the enormity of this continuing abuse and misinformation is obvious.  Falun gong is a benign practice of meditation, exercise, and moral instruction with no political ties of any sort, but it is often represented, even by well-meaning Western journalists, as a "cult" or as a right-wing anti-CCP organization, as in a recent article in the Guardian, relying heavily on statements by Media Matters.

If those journalists would do their homework, beginning with studying Falun Gong websites and  the book Zhuan Falun by Li Hongzhi, instead of relying on the well funded Chinese "zero out" campaign, they would realize that Falun Gong is an uplifting instruction based on traditional, conservative Chinese practices.

The story of the Chinese government crackdown on Falun Gong is a classic example of totalitarian intolerance of competing ideas, and it involves both propaganda and physical terror.  A careful examination of the record proves that the response of the communist Chinese regime is not very different from that of ancient regimes toward their own enslaved peoples.  Despite their vast power, totalitarian leaders are fearful and at times even paranoid, as was Stalin, and the flip-side of fear is repression.

In reality, Falun Gong is a complex spiritual practice involving qijong-like exercises, positive thinking, and moral belief based on truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance.  As a practitioner myself, I know how Falun Gong can transform an individual from illness to health, confusion to knowledge, and intolerance to open-mindedness.  It is obvious to me how a totalitarian regime would view Falun Gong as a threat, as indeed it would be to any form of deceit, corruption, or intolerance.  As Falun Gong spread in China during the 1990s, at one point with 60 to 100 million followers in China alone, the practice became a threat to a government that had once encouraged it as a healthy "money-saving" vehicle and a social safety valve for a dissatisfied citizenry.  Yet within months, beginning in July 1999, perhaps 100,000 followers were arrested and 30,000 executed.  Even now, nearly 4,000 practitioners were arrested in 2021 (latest figures).

It is critical to consider the magnitude of this repression, with between two and four million Falun Gong followers "detained" in forced labor camps between 2000 and 2008 alone.  Chinese policy toward Falun Gong is similar to the more widely publicized repression of Uyghurs, 1.5 million of whom have reportedly been detained in China, with hundreds of thousands of others subjected to forced sterilization, forced abortion, and religious suppression, and with the razing or damaging of 16,000 mosques.  Like totalitarian regimes of the past, the CCP appears willing to employ the most ruthless tactics in order to secure its hold on the country.

Though Falun Gong is not a political movement, the exponential growth of Falun Gong during the 1990s might well have pressured authorities to change, and as soon as China's leaders recognized this threat, they suppressed Falun Gong with a heavy hand.  One could hardly be truthful, compassionate, and forbearing and lend one's support to a communist regime governed by a few thousand members of the political elite intent on benefiting from their rule at the expense of the general population.  Falun Gong teaches a form of gentleness and goodness that threatens the lies and violence of any totalitarian government.

One must ask: if the Chinese communists are willing to imprison millions of ethnic and religious minorities and to murder tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, what are they capable of in the future?  How many lives are they willing to expend in a takeover of Taiwan?  And once Taiwan is taken, how many Taiwanese will they imprison and execute?  In the event of a war with Japan or with the United States, how many are they willing to see die, on both sides?  And if Chinese communism were ever to achieve world domination, what kind of future could we expect?  As Christians, probably something not unlike what the Uyghurs and Falun Gong have already experienced.

At the same time, the specter of Chinese repression should open our eyes to the remarkable value of our own system of democratic capitalism.  The CCP has diminished Falun Gong in China, but, like all religious and spiritual practices, Falun Gong has found a safe home in America, at least in principle, though the Biden administration continues to restrict religious practice, to challenge religious rights in the courts and in agency practices, and to unleash the power of agencies like the Justice Department and IRS against the open practice of religion.  Many of the same tactics adopted in communist China are accepted by progressives in our own country, including the encouragement of birth control and abortion, even late-term abortion and infanticide after birth.

For the present, there is still a difference between totalitarianism and democracy as practiced in the USA.  Now is a time when American citizens, media, government, and corporations need to see clearly that communist China is a totalitarian government and to recognize what it is capable of.  China's record toward Falun Gong, a violent repression that continues today, is one element in a string of crackdowns and arrests.  We do not need to send a balloon over China to understand the nature of their regime, but we do need to recognize the enormity of its abuses and take appropriate actions to defend ourselves.

Democrats Dodge the Real Reparations

How about all the damage caused by the China virus and Islamic terror?

Thu Oct 15, 2020

Lloyd Billingsley

“As a nation, we can only truly thrive when every one of us has the opportunity to thrive. Our painful history of slavery has evolved into structural racism and bias built into and permeating throughout our democratic and economic institutions.”

That was California Gov. Gavin Newsom in a September 30 signing statement for Assembly Bill 3121 which “establishes a nine-member task force to inform Californians about slavery and explore ways the state might provide reparations.” For all its faults, California was never part of the Confederacy, and Californians might wonder about a stronger case for reparations from damages caused by the China virus.

Evidence points to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, recipient of funds from the U.S. National Institutes of Health, which banned “gain of function” research in 2014 because of danger that a manipulated virus might be released into the population. The NIH revived the dangerous research in 2017 but kept it secret. The Wuhan Institute was an ideal place to hide gain of function, and Anthony Fauci backed the lab with more than $7 million. Dr. Fauci has been evasive about what, exactly, went on at Wuhan but there can be no dispute about the aftermath.

The China virus claimed more than 200,000 deaths in the United States alone and touched three leaders of G7 nations: President Trump, British prime minister Boris Johnson, and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, whose wife Sophie tested positive for the coronavirus in March. The economic damages are undeniable: millions unemployed, businesses going bankrupt, mounting debt, and all the social wreckage now on display.

President Trump is on record that this was all “China’s fault,” and China is going to pay “a big price” for what they’ve done to the United States and the world. One U.S. state is already taking measures. In April, Missouri attorney general Eric Schmitt filed a lawsuit charging that Chinese Communist officials are “responsible for the enormous death, suffering, and economic losses they inflicted on the world, including Missourians.”  For Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat, the Missouri lawsuit was the problem.

“We launch a series of unknown events that could be very, very dangerous,” said Feinstein in a July 30, Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.  “I think this is a huge mistake.” And Feinstein had only praise for China, “as a country that has pulled tens of millions of people out of poverty in a short period of time” and as “a country growing into a respectable nation among other nations. And I deeply believe that. I’ve been to China a number of times. I’ve studied the issues.”

Indeed, as Feinstein told James Areddy of the Wall Street Journal during a 2006 visit to Shanghai, the San Francisco Democrat had been coming to the Communist nation for 31 years. Feinstein compared Tiananmen Square to Kent State, and as Rosemarie Ho reported in The Nation, Democrats in general and Feinstein in particular ignored the Communist crackdown against Hong Kong.

None of this has touched off an investigation, which confirms that FBI favors for Democrats go far beyond Hillary Clinton. A party that functions as a cheerleader for China will not seek any reparations from China, or any other entity that has inflicted vast damage on the United States.

On September 11, 2001, Islamic terrorists claimed nearly 3,000 American lives and caused billions in damages. If that not a case for reparations, it is hard to know what one would look like. Democrats made no case, and the president formerly known as Barry Soetoro shipped billions in cash to Iran, the major sponsor of terrorism in the world.

President Trump pushed back on terrorism, taking out Iranian master terrorist Soleimani and ISIS boss al-Baghdadi. Democrats were critical of these actions, and their diversionary push for slavery reparations has no merit. Neither does Gov. Newsom’s charge of “structural racism,” which as David Azerrad explains, lacks proof on the historical, legislative, and even the subconscious level.

The nation can only thrive, Gov. Newsom contends, “when every one of us has the opportunity to thrive.” As it happens, the most powerful figure in recent California history is the African American Willie Brown. The thriving assembly speaker set up his girlfriend Kamala Harris in lucrative sinecures and backed her career all the way to candidacy for what she has called a “Harris administration.

Meanwhile, old-money Democrats are grooming Gov. Newsom for a presidential run in 2024. Should he succeed, the nation would never get reparations for terrorism or the China virus. On the other hand, the entire nation would soon look like California, whose rapid decline reminds Bill Maher of “Italy in the 70s or something.”  As President Trump says, we’ll have to see what happens.

Peter Schweizer: Hunter Biden Still Owns Ten Percent of Chinese Firm BHR

4,583

ROBERT KRAYCHIK

Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s second son, still owns a ten-percent stake in Chinese company Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), an investment firm he co-founded with funding from the Bank of China, noted Peter Schweizer, president of the government accountability Institute, senior contributor to Breitbart News, and author of Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite.

In episode 17 of the Drill Down, entitled “Hunter Biden’s Chinese Fortune,” Schweizer noted that Hunter Biden has not divested from BHR despite his father’s presidential campaign.

“The idea that Hunter could still profit off of the Chinese government if his father becomes president remains an incredible potential conflict [of interest],” observed Schweizer. “A conflict that seems all the more troubling when Joe Biden continues to dismiss China as a geopolitical threat.”

Hunter Biden’s lawyer claimed his client resigned from BHR’s board of directors, issuing a letter to this effect via the Washington Post. In September 2019, Schweizer highlighted the Washington Post‘s broad omissions in reporting on Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings during his father’s vice-presidential tenure.

The Washington Post‘s Glenn Kessler framed the aforementioned letter as a response to “Trump folks,” omitting any mention of Hunter Biden’s ongoing ownership stake in BHR.

Tim Murtaugh - Text TRUMP to 88022

@TimMurtaugh
