THE INVASION OF AMERICA - ARE YOUR CHILDREN SAFE? - "Two Aliens — at Least One Illegal — Charged with Rape of 11-Year-Olds in Montgomery County, Md."

Two Aliens — at Least One Illegal — Charged with Rape of 11-Year-Olds in Montgomery County, Md.

Where is the sympathy for the alleged victims, or concerned parents?

By Andrew R. Arthur on September 8, 2020

In a Wednesday post, I explained the connections between young foreign students on F-1 student visas and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. My longer draft included (for purposes of explanation), reference to two cases from Montgomery County, Md., outside Washington (MOCO to locals), in which two aliens, at least one illegally present, have been charged with second-degree rape of two separate 11-year-old girls. Those cases, and the subsequent response of the school system makes me wonder: Where is the real sympathy for the alleged victims or concerned parents in what is one of the most liberal counties in America?

Before I continue, let me note that I do not know the citizenship or immigration statuses of any of the alleged victims of these offenses. It is a fact, however, that alien crime usually falls hardest on immigrant communities. Lawfully present or otherwise, it does not matter, because everyone in the United States is protected equally against criminal attack, especially on their lives and dignity.

Now, to the MOCO cases themselves.

Jonathan Coreas-Salamanca — a 20-year-old Salvadoran national who was illegally present in the United States — was arrested on February 13 on eight criminal counts, including second-degree rape and third-degree sex offense. He was taken into custody at Montgomery Blair High School, where he was a student (more on that, below). As noted, the alleged victim was 11-years-old.

Coreas-Salamanca came to the attention of the authorities because he had purportedly given a phone to the victim, which they used to exchange explicit texts (at least one nauseatingly graphic) and photographs. Her father found the phone — and the texts — and went straight to the cops. That occurred on Christmas Eve, so the police obviously took care in building the case before the arrest, 51 days later.

Ivan Reyes Lopez — a 19-year-old who emigrated from Honduras three years ago and was living with an uncle — was arrested on February 19 at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School (BCC), where he was enrolled as a student. He allegedly lured a different 11-year-old girl to his family's apartment from a park near Silver Spring, where, according to the victim, he raped her (Lopez contended it was "consensual").

In fairness, I underscore that none of the alleged assaults occurred at either of the high schools. But given the fact that two adults are charged with sex crimes in connection with 11-year-old children, and the fact that each was arrested in (and while attending) their respective high schools, there was a certain amount of parental interest in the danger that they posed to fellow students.

So, Kevin Lewis, a reporter with the local ABC affiliate, WJLA, had the temerity to ask the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) how many 19-to-21-year-olds they had enrolled in their schools.

The response was a little surprising:

A spokeswoman replied, questioning the relevancy of that information.

...

"There is no data suggesting that being a high school student at 19, 20, or 21 makes a person more or less likely to commit a crime," spokeswoman Gboyinde Onijala wrote in an email to 7 On Your Side. "Any suggestion otherwise is wrong and trying to make a connection there to students enrolled in our district is wrong."

"Wrong" as used in the first instance means factual error, but in the second, Onijala suggests moral failing on the part of Lewis for asking the question to begin with. Let me explain it to her: The fact that grown men are in the same facilities as 14-year-old boys and girls on a daily basis would appear to be a relevant point of concern, particularly when two of them, in two separate incidents, allegedly raped pre-teen girls.

Curiously enough, however, MCPS did not let the matter rest there. It sent the following letter, signed by the principal at Montgomery Blair and the acting principal at BCC, to the parents and guardians of the students at the two schools:

Respectfully, although the two may be "deeply saddened and troubled by the news of these reported crimes", the tone in that letter as a whole is more defensive than one would expect — or than is appropriate.

And consistent with the earlier MCPS response, they seem as offended by the fact that the reporting tied the suspects to the institutions ("It remains unclear to us why the reporter chose to place so much focus on the schools they attend in his story") as they are that the offenses allegedly occurred to begin with — that statement shows up first in the letter, before any expression of sympathy for the alleged victims.

Of course, as Lewis notes, the letter fails to note that the arrests of the two actually occurred at those schools. And most parents I know are leery of allowing their 14-year-olds to go to malls full of older teens and young adults for an afternoon jaunt, let alone on a daily basis to a school.

It is laudable that "the majority of the 5,400-plus students at" Montgomery Blair and BCC "do amazing things every day", assuming it's not simply puffery: I was in class with 200 guys, most of whom went on to become respected members of the community, and I cannot think of a single "amazing thing" any of us did in four years. But MCPS should at least go a little bit further in acknowledging that — assuming the MOCO police are right — two of them stole the innocence from children of tender years.

Speaking of adult males who have been charged with child sex crimes in MOCO, the Washington Post's article on Coreas-Salamanca reported that a 23-year-old named Ryan Michael Johnson, from Gaithersburg (also in MOCO), was indicted on the same day. He was "accused of biting, slapping and choking a 14-year-old girl as he forced her to perform sex acts, according to court records."

No immigration status for him is listed, but it also does not appear that he had attended an MCPS institution anytime recently, so no response from them would be expected. If the charges against Johnson are true, he is exactly the sort of person I would want to protect my child from in public. The same goes for Coreas-Salamanca and Lopez.

Perhaps it is the fact that (logically) recent immigrants to the United States — particularly from non-English-speaking countries (and especially ones with educational systems that are not as robust as we have in the United States) — are often older when they attend high school than their peers. As the MCPS letter notes, by law, they are entitled to the same primary and secondary education as citizens and aliens here lawfully.

It is MPCS's own policy, however, that allows anyone (citizen or alien) aged 20 or below on the first day of school to enroll in its institutions, without reference to grade. So, you could conceivably turn 21 on the second day of the school year and be in, say, ninth grade. That policy is what puts adults in the same schools as children. MCPS could, at a minimum, recognize the fact that (1) that could lead to trouble; and (2) parents — and the media — have a legitimate right to be concerned about that policy.

It seems, however, that in the current politically charged climate (an understatement of the highest order), any crime having to do with aliens must be smoothed over and elided. Such "political correctness", however, appears to allow for no sympathy whatsoever for victims of those offenses, or for the legitimate concerns of parents who entrust their children to the state on a daily basis.

CHINA'S OLD WHORE FEINSTEIN AND BIDEN HOWL!!!! - TOM COTTON CALLS FOR U.S. TO REVOKE CHINA'S PERMANENT MOST FAVORED NATION STATUS

Tom Cotton Calls for U.S. to Revoke China’s Permanent Most Favored Nation Status, a Decision Biden Supported

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) on Monday announced new legislation calling for the United States to revoke permanent most-favored-nation (MFN) status for China — a designation Joe Biden supported as a senator — and approve it on a yearly basis instead.

Cotton said the U.S.’s decision 20 years ago to give China permanent special trade privileges, or MFN status “supercharged the loss of American manufacturing jobs.”

Cotton said in an interview on Fox & Friends on Monday morning:

This week is the 20th anniversary of Joe Biden voting to give permanent Most Favored Nation Status to China. Just think about that — Most Favored Nation status to a Communist country. And over the last 20 years, that decision has supercharged the lost of American manufacturing jobs.

And Joe Biden just defended it last week. That’s why I’m introducing legislation this week that would repeal permanent Most Favored Nation status and require the president and the Congress to decide on it annually.

Cotton said having Congress and the administration vote on it every year would give the U.S. the ability to punish China if it does something that goes against the U.S.’s interests.

“Let’s say China shoots missiles at our ships in the Western Pacific or cracks down on Hong Kong. Then we would be able to say each year, we are not going to renew Most Favored Nation status for China,” he said.

Cotton added, “Joe Biden supported it 20 years ago, Joe Biden supports it now. Joe Biden will continue to send our jobs to China if he’s the president.”

The revocation of MFN for China would restore the U.S.-China trade relationship back to what it was before 2000, when it was extended on a yearly basis.

Cotton’s bill comes as Biden has claimed he would crack down on Chinese made goods and make sure “everyone is playing by the same Made in America rules.”

However, as Breitbart News recently reported, when Biden was vice president for eight years, he ignored opportunities to help American manufacturers.

American companies have invested billions of dollars in China since 2001, which helped to build Chinese factories and contributed to the siphoning away of manufacturing jobs in the U.S.

China Wins if Biden Wins

Biden’s disturbing record of pro-China bias.

China will have a great friend in the White House if Joe Biden wins the presidency. At the same time, Joe Biden’s son Hunter will acquire more friends in Beijing anxious to do business with a member of the U.S. president’s immediate family in order to gain access to the Oval Office.

Joe Biden has a long record evidencing his pro-China bias. Thus, it was not a surprise when Biden said last year about China: “They’re not bad folks, folks … They’re not competition for us." After Biden received backlash for this remark, Biden’s handlers tried to turn him into a hawk on China. But Biden cannot escape his enabling of China’s rise in power while he was in public office, helping China to become the U.S.’s number one national security threat.

As Barack Obama’s vice president and point man on China, Biden cozied up to China’s Communist Party leaders. At the opening of the third session of the U.S.-China Strategic & Economic Dialogue in May 2011, Biden said that “a rising China is a positive, positive development, not only for China but for America and the world writ large.” Biden characterized the relationship with China sought by the Obama-Biden administration as “a cooperative partnership.”

In August 2011 at a U.S.-China business round table held in Beijing, Biden declared that  “President Obama and I, we welcome, encourage and see nothing but positive benefits flowing from direct investment in the United States from Chinese businesses and Chinese entities.”

Following meetings between Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping (then-Vice President) in 2011 and 2012, the Obama-Biden administration agreed to allow Chinese companies access to U.S. capital markets without having to go through the same rigorous inspection of their books by U.S. regulators that is required for U.S. companies. Biden’s idea of a “cooperative partnership” was to help boost the economic power of a “rising China” to further heights by handing Chinese companies an opportunity to cheat on a silver platter.

A “rising China” is a positive development only for China. A “rising China” is a very negative development for the United States. China's rapid economic growth, aided by Biden, has enabled the Chinese Communist regime to build up its military and cyber technology to the point that it has become the greatest single threat to our national security.

China did not become our chief adversary on the global stage overnight. China’s economy took off only after it joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001. And Joe Biden was in China’s corner every step of the way, beginning with his strong advocacy for China’s membership in the WTO while he was in the Senate.

In July 2000, during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on giving permanent normal trade relations status to Communist China, then-Senator Biden asserted as a foregone conclusion that “granting permanent normal trade relations to China has little to do with our national security. It does not increase their access to controlled U.S. technology. It does not increase their access to our markets.” Biden then claimed that bringing the Chinese regime into contact with the international norms of the WTO “is the best way to get China to clean up its act.”

Biden was wrong as usual. The Chinese Communist dictatorship did not clean up its act. It did the opposite. As former assistant director of intelligence for the FBI Kevin R. Brock observed in an article he wrote for The Hill, “China largely has cheated its way to prosperity.” Stealing valuable intellectual property and using deceptive tactics to gain an unfair economic advantage are second nature to the regime and its state-owned companies. The regime's atrocious human rights abuses have gotten much worse.

According to the Economic Policy Institute, “the growing U.S. trade deficit with China has eliminated 3.4 million U.S. jobs between 2001 and 2017, including 1.3 million jobs lost since 2008 (the first full year of the Great Recession).” This all took place since China became a member of the World Trade Organization, right under Biden’s nose and with his help while he was a senator, vice president, and Obama’s point man on China.

The most benign explanation for Biden’s pro-China bias is that he is a fool, who is oblivious to China’s growing threat to the U.S.'s position as the world’s preeminent global economic and military superpower.

There is also a more sinister explanation for Biden’s willingness to give China the benefit of the doubt. Joe Biden’s son Hunter reportedly cashed in while his father was the point person on Obama-Biden administration policy towards China.

Peter Schweitzer, a prominent author on government corruption who put together a documentary entitled “Riding the Dragon: Uncovering the Bidens’ Chinese Secrets,” has exposed Hunter Biden’s involvement in questionable deals with Chinese government affiliated entities while his father was vice president. Schweitzer charged that “the Bidens were prepared and willing to make money, even if it damaged our military posture vis-a-vis the Chinese who are our chief rivals on the global stage.”

Hunter Biden was involved with a Chinese-dominated investment firm called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR) through a U.S. company named Rosemont Seneca Partners that Hunter had formed in 2009 with Chris Heinz, the stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry, and others. BHR was formed in late 2013 by a merger between the Chinese-government linked firm, Bohai Capital, and Rosemont Seneca Partners.

Around the time of the merger creating BHR, Hunter Biden flew aboard Air Force Two with his father to China. While in China, Hunter helped arrange for Jonathan Li, CEO of Bohai Capital, to “shake hands” with then-Vice President Joe Biden. Hunter Biden met with Li for reportedly a “social meeting.” The coincident timing of Hunter Biden's sojourn to China with his father, the forming of BHR by Bohai Capital and Rosemont, and the father and son face times with Bohai Capital's CEO is suspicious, to say the least. Moreover, the business license of BHR was approved by China shortly after the Biden trip's conclusion. Through its equity participation in BHR’s business, Hunter's firm stood to make a tidy profit.

Last year, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) wrote a letter to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin focusing on the questionable acquisition of a U.S. automotive technology company, Henniges, by a Chinese aviation company and BHR.  Henniges’ technology reportedly has military applications. Grassley expressed concerns over the process by which the Obama-Biden administration’s Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) approved this acquisition.

According to Grassley’s account, “In September 2015, BHR joined with a subsidiary of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) to acquire Henniges for $600 million. Because the acquisition gave Chinese companies direct control of Henniges’ anti-vibration technologies, the transaction was reviewed by CFIUS. CFIUS approved the transaction despite reports that in 2007, years before BHR teamed up with AVIC’s subsidiary, AVIC was reportedly involved in stealing sensitive data regarding the Joint Strike Fighter program. AVIC later reportedly incorporated the stolen data into China’s J-20 and J?31 aircraft.”

Aviation Industry Corporation of China is identified by the Pentagon as one of the Chinese companies “owned by, controlled by, or affiliated with China's government, military, or defense industry." The Obama-Biden administration's approval of the joint acquisition of  a U.S. company with military-related technology by an AVIC subsidiary and its partner BHR is highly troubling. Obama’s VP and China point man Joe Biden needs to answer some key questions now as voters consider his candidacy for the U.S. presidency.

For example, what interactions did CFIUS members or their staffs have with Obama, Biden or their staffs on the Henniges transaction? What did Joe Biden know about the joint acquisition of Henniges by BHR (in which his son's firm had an equity interest) and a subsidiary of the Chinese government affiliated AVIC? Did Biden or his staff exert any pressure on CFIUS to approve the Henniges acquisition despite its obvious national security implications? Was the Henniges transaction subject to a national security arrangement? If not, why not?

Joe Biden needs to answer these questions and others now without equivocation concerning the Chinese-related business dealings of Hunter Biden’s firm while Joe Biden was vice president. Otherwise, voters will be entitled to assume the worst about what is likely to lie ahead for U.S.-China relations if Hunter's father Joe Biden is elected president.

Video resurfaces of Biden saying he asked China for help becoming president

There is far more evidence that China is interfering in our election to put Joe Biden in the White House than there ever was that Russia was backing Donald Trump in 2016 (or is backing him now). Properly handled, that evidence against Biden (and his allies in bed with China) should help re-elect Trump

During the 2016 campaign, candidate Trump made a joke about asking Russia for help in finding Hillary Clinton’s deleted (and bleach-bitted) emails from her private server, and that was taken as evidence for launching an FBI investigation and subsequent special counsel probe on non-existent “collusion” with Russia. Yet back in 2013, Joe Biden, whose son was hauled around on Air Force Two to help him make lucrative deals with foreign powers including China, openly “joked” about asking Beijing for help becoming president, and we are only hearing of it this weekend:

After 3 years pursuing phony Trump-Russia collusion, Dems have legitimized looking into the ties between a presidential candidate and a scary foreign power. And anyone who pays minimal attention can see that Beijing is a far more serious threat to us than Moscow, yet Dems an their media allies continue to pretend that we ought to worry about bad boy Putin, whose country has the GDP of Texas, while China is closing in on surpassing our national GDP. Perhaps more importantly, Russia struggles to export any manufactured goods and mostly relies on oil and gas to generate hard currency, while China is the “workshop of the world” and has stolen many industries from the USA. Russia, to be frank, has no chance to become the world’s hegemon, while Beijing’s leaders openly plot to do so, and already have a navy with more vessels than our own, and are a serious technology rival in key areas like artificial intelligence.

There is no question that Hunter Biden, Joe’s son who was kicked out of the Navy for cocaine use, is in Beijing’s pocket, and has become wealthy thanks to his business ties to Ukraine’s Burisma and his even bigger financial ties to China. With perfect timing, Peter Schweizer, whose influential documentary Clinton Cash uncovered the ways the former first couple enriched themselves from their “public service,” has just released a 41-minute film on Biden’s China ties, Riding the Dragon. It is embedded below in its entirety, but here is how Eric Lendrum of American Greatness describes it:

In “Riding the Dragon,” Schweizer reveals several Chinese business deals that Hunter Biden was involved in while serving as a member of the board of BHR Partners, a Chinese investment firm. The film also claims that Biden could only secure meetings with high-ranking Chinese officials because of the fact that his father was vice president at the time.

Many of BHR’s business deals “would serve the strategic interests of the Chinese government,” and “started making investment deals that would serve the strategic interests of the Chinese military.” The documentary was originally aired on BlazeTV, and has since been posted to YouTube....

The film is below, and here is URL, so you can send it to friends via email or social media: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRmlcEBAiIs

IN THE November 2006 election, the voters demanded congressional ethics reform. And so, the newly appointed chairman of the Senate Rules Committee, Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., is now duly in charge of regulating the ethical behavior of her colleagues. But for many years, Feinstein has been beset by her own ethical conflict of interest, say congressional ethics experts.

Everything we know about Hunter Biden's business connections in China

Alexandra Ma

·         President Donald Trump this week suggested that Hunter Biden had used his position as then-Vice President Joe Biden's son to secure a $1.5 billion deal with the Chinese state bank for a Chinese private equity company where he is a board member.

·         There is no evidence to this claim.

·         The $1.5 billion appears to refer to a sum that BHR, the private equity firm, was trying to raise in 2014 to invest outside China, according to The Wall Street Journal.

·         But Biden's lawyer said Biden has never profited from his work at BHR.

·         Here's what we know about Hunter Biden's business dealings in China.

The global business dealings of Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, have been thrust into the spotlight after President Donald Trump suggested without evidence that the father and son had engaged in corruption in Ukraine and China.

Trump on Thursday openly called on China to investigate the Bidens, suggesting — without evidence — that China had given $1.5 billion to a Chinese private equity firm where Hunter Biden was a board member to secure favorable deals with the US while Joe Biden was Vice President.

President Trump: "China should start an investigation into the Bidens because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine. So, I would say that President Zelensky, if it were me, I would recommend that they start an investigation into the Bidens." pic.twitter.com/Xia8vLUVT2

Here's what we know about the background of this allegation.

·         Biden has been a board member at BHR Equity Investment Fund Management Company, a Chinese state-backed private equity firm, since late 2013, according to The New York Times and the South China Morning Post.

·         In 2017, Biden bought 10% of the company for about $420,000, The Times reported.

·         The $1.5 billion Trump cited on Thursday appears to refer to a sum that BHR was trying to raise in 2014 to invest outside China, as The Wall Street Journal reported at the time.

·         That sum appeared in "Secret Empires," a book published last year that criticized Biden's business activities, The Journal reported.

·         Peter Schweizer, the author, said BHR "would seal a highly unusual $1.5 billion deal with funding from the Chinese government" after Biden flew to Beijing aboard Air Force Two at the time.

·         Trump has praised the book in the past, The Journal reported.

·         Trump on Thursday suggested that Biden used his position as the vice president's son to secure the money from China's state-owned bank, and made millions in the process, the South China Morning Post reported.

·         But Biden's lawyer George Mesires said earlier this week that Biden had never been paid for sitting on BHR's board, and has not received any payouts from his investment, according to The Times and The Washington Post.

·         BHR has removed all photos of Hunter Biden from its website, the South China Morning Post reported on Saturday. BBHR has not yet responded to Business Insider's request for confirmation and comment on the date of the photo's removal.

Mesires has not yet responded to Business Insider's request for comment on Biden's current role and responsibility at BHR Partners.

BHR has not yet responded to Business Insider's request for comment on Biden's role and responsibility at the firm.

Is Dianne Feinstein out to kill off Kamala Harris's presidential bid?

By Monica Showalter

Kamala Harris has always been known for her lean and hungry, pushy, grabby, ambition, which includes a willingness to sleep her way to the top to get what she wants. Her political start began as a social mountaineer with San Francisco's old-money Pacific Heights set dating from her 20s and then just moved onward and upward.

That's not sitting well with California's lizardy old-money senior Senator, Dianne Feinstein, who knows that establishment well.

And so, she's taking some action, as Fox News reports:

BLOG: BIDEN AND FEINSTEIN GO WAY BACK WITH THEIR RED CHINA FOR RAW CASH DEALS SIPHONED THROUGH HER HUSBAND AND HIS SON.

According to reports, Feinstein, the senior senator from the Golden State, will throw a fundraiser next month for Democratic 2020 presidential frontrunner Joe Biden -- and not for Harris, another White House contender whose poll numbers suggest she could probably use some high-profile help.

BLOG: WHAT FEINSTEIN MEANS IS THAT OL' BIDEN IS AS CORRUPT AS SHE IS ANY DAY!

“My candidate would be Joe Biden,” Feinstein told CNBC back then. “I watched him as vice president. I’ve seen him operate. I’ve seen him perform and I think he brings a level of experience and seniority, which I think is really important.”

The early evening reception will be the first that Feinstein hosts for Biden in the 2020 election, CNBC reported. Her husband has already participated in several fundraising events for Biden, who campaigned for Feinstein in 2018, when she was re-elected by a landslide.

Oh, spare us. Feinstein knows as well as anyone that old Joe is addled and gaffe-tastic. This is more likely about putting Kamala back in her place.

Fox News speculated that this fundraiser among the fatcat donors might just have been payback for Harris's nasty first-debate attack all but accusing Biden of being a Bull Conner racist. Remember Harris's phony earnestness in: "That little girl was me"?

Sure, it's possible. But it's also been known for close to a year that Feinstein considers Harris a wretched parvenu who hasn't paid her dues.

Remember this?

“I’m a big fan of Sen. Harris, and I work with her. But she’s brand-new here, so it takes a little bit of time to get to know somebody,” Feinstein said of the junior senator, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Her press secretary told CNN that Feinstein later added that she certainly likes her California colleague, saying, “Oh, I love Kamala.”

Translation in a plummy accent: Do we know her?

The lagniappe of 'Oh, I love Kamala,' straight from The Sloane Ranger Handbook, is a nice touch.

Hard to get a better old-money passive-aggressive remark than that one. People are either known or unknown in Feinstein's rich circles and it's pretty obvious to Feinstein that Kamala doesn't cut it.

What's more, Feinstein is a 'get off my lawn, whippersnappers' non-ideological sort of small-c conservative, or, as Fox News put it, she pulls rank. Remember this?

Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein pulled rank Friday when a group of kids tried to school her on climate change.

After the group sought her support for the Green New Deal, the 85-year-old senior senator from California let them know she wasn't about to be bossed around by a bunch of youngsters.

BLOG: THE OLD WHORE FEINSTEIN MADE A VAST FORTUNE SERVING CRIMINAL OPERATIONS LIKE PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC, CRIMINAL BANKSTERS WELLS FARGO AND BANK OF AMERICA AND THE FREAKING PARASITE TRIAL LAWYERS!

“You come in here, and you say it has to be my way or the highway. I don’t respond to that,” Feinstein continued. “I’ve gotten elected, I just ran. I was elected by almost a million-vote plurality. And I know what I’m doing. So you know, maybe people should listen a little bit.

So just the fundraiser in Harris's home state of California was a shiv in the side to Kamala.

Why is that?

Well, for one thing, the Democratic political set widely believes that to win the presidency, one must win California. Harris is from California, so that stacks things in her favor.

Now Feinstein is marshalling money from California Biden's way? So that they give their money to him and feel 'donor fatigue' when Kamala comes calling?

The matter is compounded by the fact that the California Democratic campaign fatcats weren't impressed with Harris's performance in the third debate, as this CNBC report here indicates. Feinstein knows those people and may very well be egging them toward Biden, or at least piling on.

Here's another thing: Money from fatcats over little-people donations is Kamala's vulnerable spot. The queen of fake Twitter followers is also highly reliant on big dollar donors over the little guys, even as the New York Times tries to claim she's changing that. Well, maybe she is, but if she is, it would be in the infant stage and in any case, they're taking her word for it. More likely, she still relies on the big boys, because that's what she knows.

Which would mean that Feinstein's bid to separate Harris from that cash lifeline is like that of General Grant at Vicksburg, targeting Confederate supply lines. The California dinosaur strategizes.

The Feinstein fundraiser, which will channel and suction big money toward Biden, can't help but come at a cost to Harris. And Feinstein, right in the middle of the Pacific Heights crowd, is lobbing her cannon ball where the funds are richest and Kamala's ties are tightest.

It almost looks like a concerted chess move to checkmate the upstart. And given the evidence of Feinstein's antipathy toward Harris, one can't help but think it's all intentional.
