Hollywood mega-star Angelina Jolie has revealed that she is pretty much done living in Los Angeles, declaring that “Hollywood is not a healthy place.”

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Angelina Jolie said she plans to eventually leave L.A., though she didn’t specify when.

“It’s part of what happened after my divorce. I lost the ability to live and travel as freely. I will move when I can,” she told the newspaper, adding that she will spend more time at her home in Cambodia.

“I grew up in quite a shallow place,” she said. “Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So you seek authenticity.”

Jolie is the latest celebrity to throw in the towel when it comes to crime-ridden Los Angeles.

Police: Homeless Woman Fatally Shot California Social Justice Warrior

A social justice advocate was fatally shot Monday when a homeless woman allegedly broke into his house in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles, California.

The founder of the social justice organization Lead With Love, 33-year-old Michael Latt, was found suffering from a gunshot wound, the New York Post reported Thursday.

The man was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. The Post article noted that a motive for the shooting is unknown, and officials are handling the case as a random act of violence.

Police have identified the suspect as 36-year-old Jameelah Elena Michl. Officials later booked her on a murder charge. She is now being held on $3 million bail.

An image shows what appears to be officials outside the home where the incident took place:

According to KTLA 5, the suspect remained outside the home and raised her hands in the air as she surrendered to law enforcement officers.

“I keep picturing his face, and I can’t believe he’s passed,” one neighbor told the outlet. “I was hoping he’d be okay. It didn’t even cross my mind that he could die,” she added:

In a post on his social media page, Latt’s family members wrote:

He devoted his career to supporting others, championing organizations that raised up women and artists of color, along with leveraging storytelling, art and various mediums to create enduring change and instill communities with hope, love and inspiration. Michael will never be forgotten and we can all carry on his legacy of love, compassion and fierce dedication to positive and lasting change.

Latt was at home with his fiancé when the shooting happened, according to KCAL. Investigators told the outlet the suspect was living in her vehicle at the time.

However, it remains unclear if she knew the victim:

“Our family, Michael’s extraordinary friends and colleagues are shattered by the profound grief of losing our Michael,” his relatives continued in the social media post.

Michael Latt, a marketing consultant and social justice advocate with strong ties to Hollywood, died Monday after a woman entered his home and fired a bullet that struck him in the head, law enforcement sources told The Times.

Authorities believe the shooting was a random act of violence.

Police were contacted around 6 p.m. about a shooting at Latt's residence in the 900 block of Alandele Avenue. Officers arrived to find him with a gunshot wound to his head. He was transported to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.

A preliminary investigation found Latt was shot by a woman who had entered his home without his permission. The suspect, identified by police as Jameelah Elena Michl, 36, was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene. Taken into custody by responding officers, she is being held in lieu of $3-million bail.

Michl was described by law enforcement as a person living in her vehicle, which was parked nearby and removed as evidence by police. Latt did not know his assailant, and initial information indicated she was not given access to the home, law enforcement sources told The Times.

Latt was the chief executive of Lead With Love, an entertainment marketing consulting firm he founded in 2019 with an emphasis on elevating Black creatives and other underrepresented voices in Hollywood. He was the son of film producer David Latt and Michelle Satter, the founding senior director at the Sundance Institute. His brother, Franklin Latt, is an agent at CAA.

Satter shared the news Wednesday of Latt's death on X: "Our beloved son Michael Latt fell victim to a tragic act of violence this week," she wrote. "Michael devoted his career to supporting artists, championing organizations that raised up artists of color, & leveraged storytelling for enduring change. We celebrate his legacy, love & compassion."

As news spread Wednesday of Latt's death, hundreds of colleagues, friends and collaborators offered their condolences.

"Devastating loss — Michael was a shining beacon of selfless kindness and consistency," actor Jesse Williams wrote on Latt's final Instagram post.

The Sundance Institute, where Latt worked before and during his time at Lead With Love, issued a statement on behalf of the Latt family mourning his death.

"He dedicated his career to serving others, employing storytelling, art, and various mediums to create enduring change and galvanizing communities with hope, love, and inspiration," the statement read. "Michael will never be forgotten and his legacy and work will carry on through his family, his friends, and his colleagues."

After graduating from Chapman University in 2013 with a degree in public relations and advertising, Latt worked in entertainment marketing for several years. His work for Blackout for Human Rights, a social justice collective, led him to redirect the focus of his work to social justice activism.

"The moment I realized that I could use my skill set for social good, I decided to dedicate the rest of my career to helping others, empowering storytellers of color, and fighting injustice wherever it stands,” he told Forbes.

As the head of Lead With Love, Latt oversaw marketing campaigns featuring celebrities such as the musician Common and director Ryan Coogler. In 2020, the organization led a get-out-the-vote campaign in the lead-up to the November election. More recently, the organization led a campaign titled "Honoring Black Women" to promote the 2022 film "Till," which told the story of Emmett Till, the Black 14-year-old who was lynched in 1955, and his mother, Mamie.

"He was the definitive ally — used every tool he had to elevate the voices and work of Black creatives," writer Akilah Hughes, a friend of Latt's, wrote on X.

Los Angeles County has seen a surge in crime in recent years following District Attorney George Gascon’s (D) soft-on-crime policies that have decriminalized a wide range of offenses.

Smash-and-grabs have become endemic to Southern California, while shoplifting is now so commonplace that drug stores are locking up shelves to prevent theft.

Home invasions are hitting exclusive neighborhoods that are home to wealthy celebrities, creating a climate of fear in parts of the city that were once thought to be immune to urban crime.

L.A.’s homeless crisis is also getting worse, with tent cities lining the streets of even the most upscale neighborhoods.

JOE BIDEN IS STILL ON THE LAM - NEW Developments in Joe Biden's Classified Documents Case

JOE BIDEN'S CHINA CONNECTION COORDINATED BY THE BIDEN DOJ

House Committees Produce 78-Page Report on DOJ’s ‘Deviations’ in Hunter Biden Probe

The House Judiciary, Ways and Means, and Oversight Committees jointly released an interim 78-page staff report on Tuesday about the Justice Department’s (DOJ) “deviations” in the five-year investigation into Hunter Biden, describing political interference in the probe.

The report will be reviewed by lawmakers, who are likely to vote upon a formalized impeachment inquiry in preparation for potentially pursuing articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden.

The report outlines testimony from several DOJ officials and IRS whistleblowers. IRS agents alleged in April that Biden administration political appointees politically interfered with the DOJ’s probe, though several officials appointed by Biden deny the claims.

The report outlines several key findings by the committees:

  1. The Justice Department twice prevented United States Attorney David Weiss from bringing stronger charges against Hunter Biden.
  2. Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to name a special counsel in the tax investigation, which could have provided a degree of separation between Joe Biden and his Justice Department.
  3. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf refused to allow investigators to ask about Joe Biden being “the big guy.”
  4. Wolf stopped questioning about “the big guy” to limit where the investigation could go despite evidence of Joe Biden’s involvement.
  5. Wolf cautioned the investigation team from searching Joe Biden’s guest house in Delaware for evidence against Hunter Biden because of “optics.”
  6. Hunter Biden demanded in 2017 to be paid by Chinese Communist Party-linked Chinese businessman Raymond Zhao while Joe Biden was “sitting” next to him in a room.
  7. Investigators wanted to obtain the location data to confirm Joe Biden was in the room, but there is no confidence the FBI obtained that data.
  8. Hunter Biden deducted payments to prostitutes and sex clubs from his taxes.
  9. The investigation into Hunter Biden began as an “offshoot” of inquiry into a foreign adult platform.

“Even still, despite these troubling findings, there is more information that the Justice Department is keeping from the Committees,” the committees wrote:

The Justice Department has still not fully complied with requests for relevant documents, and it has impeded the Committees’ investigation by baselessly preventing two Tax Division officials—Senior Litigation Counsel Mark Daly and Trial Attorney Jack Morgan—from testifying, despite subpoenas compelling their testimony. These documents and this testimony are necessary for the Committees to complete our inquiry.

“The Committees will continue to gather evidence to determine whether sufficient grounds exist to draft articles of impeachment against President Biden for consideration by the full House of Representatives,” they stated.

Job Openings Crater and Quits Stay Frozen as Demand for Workers Declines - JOJO BIDEN SAYS WE CAN FIX THE PROBLEM WITH A FEW MORE ILLEAGLS JUMPING THE AMERICAN BORDER AND JOBS!

Could the long-awaited softening of the labor market finally be arriving?

Job openings in the U.S. fell to 8.7 million at the end of October, the lowest level in 28-months, the Department of Labor said Tuesday. At the end of September, U.S. employers had posted 9.4 million openings.

The openings figure came in below the 9.4 million expected. The numbers come from the Labor Dept.’s Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey, known as JOLTS.

The number of openings is a sign of demand for labor and an increase in openings typically signals economic strengthening. In the post-pandemic period, however, demand for labor has far outstripped supply, driving the number of job openings much higher than typical. Last year, openings hit a record high 12 million.

The Federal Reserve has been hoping that inflation could be brought down by cooling demand for labor. Several officials have said that the best outcome would be for openings to decline without triggering a significant increase in layoffs or rise in unemployment.

The decline is likely to be interpreted as a signal that the Fed can avoid raising interest rates in the future and may be able to cut rates sooner.

The number of people quitting jobs is another important metric of labor market tightness. A rising number of quits indicates improved confidence on the part of workers that they can find better positions away from their current employer. Despite the fall in openings, this figure did not show further softening in November and was little changed at 3.6 million.

The openings figures suggest that different sectors of the economy are operating in different environments. Job openings fell the most in health care, real estate, hospitality, and retail. Those are areas of the economy that have had high levels of openings and hiring as they struggled to catch up to pre-pandemic levels. In recent months, they have reached or exceeded prepandemic levels, so the cooling of demand is not surprising.

Finance also had a significant decline in openings.

Information services, which saw a lot of hiring and openings during the pandemic and early on in its aftermath but then began to shed jobs as the Fed raised rates, is now apparently back in growth mode, with job openings increasing notably in October.

NYC: Illegal Immigrant ‘Sanctuary’ Sees Homeless Population Surge as Busloads from Texas Continue to Arrive

New York City’s homeless population is surging thanks, in part, to the continued arrival of busloads of illegal immigrants from Texas being sent to the self-proclaimed “sanctuary.”

In the city’s Fiscal Year (FY) ending June 30, the homeless population increased 73%, rising from 46,675 in FY2022 to 80,724 in FY2023, according to statistics published last month in a financial report by the city’s comptroller.

“More than 22,000 asylum seekers applied for shelter through DHS as of April 2023,” the comptroller said in an August review of the city’s homeless situation, apparently counting all migrants as “asylum seekers.”

Last week, migrants set up camp in front of the mayor’s residence, to protest the time limit on how long they can live in one of the city’s shelters, regional network Spectrum News NY 1 reports:

“On Thursday, dozens of protestors set up tents and sleeping bags outside of Gracie Mansion, blasting the city’s recent restrictions on the length of time migrants can stay in shelters before they have to reapply for housing.”

The city currently has a 30-day shelter limit for adults and a 60-day limit for families.

In a September press release warning of the financial burden of actually having to be a sanctuary, Democrat New York City Mayor estimated that approximately 10,000 “asylum” seekers are “still arriving each month.”

The comptroller’s review says the city’s shelter system has been “overwhelmed” by the surge in immigration that began in 2022 when Texas – which was already being overwhelmed by illegal immigration – began busing immigrants to the “sanctuary” New York City had promised them:

“In October 2022, at the peak of the surge in migrants seeking asylum, DHS reported the highest-ever number of homeless people living within the shelter system.

“DHS stated that starting in April 2022, the State of Texas began sending buses of migrant asylum seekers to New York City. Buses arrived unannounced and unscheduled, and the people on them—most of whom had crossed into the United States via the southern border—were in need of shelter and care.

“By April 4, 2023, 22,002 asylum seeker households had applied for shelter through DHS. In response, the City opened 135 emergency sites between June 2022 and May 2023 for asylum seekers.

“The City shelter system was overwhelmed by this surge. The shelter population reached its highest-ever daily population by October 5, 2022, with over 61,000 people recorded. Although other City agencies have since stepped in to help shoulder part of this burden, the number of people in DHS shelters continued to grow. On March 1, 2023, the daily population in DHS shelters reached 70,848 people.”

On Friday, Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott reported that his state has bused more than 22,800 migrants to New York City since August of 2022, as part of the multi-agency border security measure, Operation Lone Star.

To deal with the staggering cost of the immigrant surge, Mayor Adams has announced the city is reducing its number of police and making across-the-board budget cuts:

“[M]ake no mistake: Migrant costs are going up, tax revenue growth is slowing and COVID stimulus funding is drying up.”

New York City’s migrant crisis will cost nearly $11billion over two fiscal years and its FY2025 budget gap is expected to “surpass unprecedented $7 billion,” the mayor’s press release estimates.

Nicole Malliotakis: NYC Officials Are Trying to Register Migrants to Vote

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) accused New York City officials of attempting to register to vote newly arrived border crossers and illegal aliens living in city-contracted shelters, during a press conference Sunday.

Malliotakis said New York City officials required contractors, those tasked with running the city’s widespread migrant shelter system, to hand out voter registration pamphlets and help migrants register to vote.

“We believe this is the smoking gun that proves what we’ve been saying all along — that the city intends to register non-citizens to vote,” Malliotakis said.

The accusation comes as Malliotakis received documents related to a Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request that detailed a contract between New York City and Homes for the Homeless, just one of the many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) being paid to care for border crossers and illegal aliens.

Malliotakis provided the documents she obtained from the FOIL request:

Document via Rep. Nicole Malliotakis

Other Republican officials joined Malliotakis in condemning the alleged voter fraud scheme carried out by New York City officials.

“Noncitizen voting is not the law of the City of New York, and no one should be trying to register noncitizens to vote,” City Councilman David Carr (R-Staten Island) said:

Certainly, no one should be giving a contract to a not-for-profit, whether its a homeless or migrant shelter provider or anyone else, to try and register noncitizens. It’s absolutely illegal at this stage of the game and it shouldn’t be in the contract. [Emphasis added]

New York City Democrats had sought to give the right to vote in municipal elections to nearly a million foreign nationals living across the city in Dember 2021. That effort, though, was struck down in 2022 by the New York Supreme Court, citing that the ordinance violates the state’s constitution.

Republicans Stand Firm as Democrats Use ‘Russia!’ Threats to Keep U.S. Borders Open

The GOP’s top leaders and pro-migration advocates are uniting behind popular border reforms while Democrats try to extort concessions with threats of Russian invasions.

“The Administration is continually ignoring the catastrophe at our own border,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said Monday in quick response to the White House’s December 4 claim that the GOP’s demand for popular border reforms will “kneecap Ukraine on the battlefield … [and increase] the likelihood of Russian victories.”

Johnson tweeted:

The Biden Administration has failed to substantively address any of my conference’s legitimate concerns about the lack of a clear strategy in Ukraine, a path to resolving the conflict, or a plan for adequately ensuring accountability for aid provided by American taxpayers. Meanwhile, the Administration is continually ignoring the catastrophe at our own border.

House Republicans have resolved that any national security supplemental package must begin with our own border. We believe both issues can be agreed upon if Senate Democrats and the White House will negotiate reasonably.

The House passed the H.R.2 border stabilization bill, backed by roughly 30 GOP Senators. The bill is intended to block the administration’s policy of sneaking millions of wage-cutting, rent-spiking economic migrants into the United States via expanded asylum and parole loopholes.

Democrats need a deal because they want $14 billion to help accelerate — and hide — the flow of migrants into U.S. cities. They are also asking for $60 billion to help Ukrainians fight Russian forces after President Joe Biden declined to push for a negotiated settlement

The Ukraine funding will not pass without a border reform, Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) told ABC’s This Week on Sunday. “We’re going to do this all together,” said Lankford, one of three GOP Senators negotiating with Democrats.

Remarkably, GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham (SC) — the founding member of the 2013 “Gang of Eight” giveaway — is also demanding border policy changes before more funding for Ukraine’s no-compromise war with Russia.

Graham is a loud supporter of the Ukraine war with Russia, but he told CNN on December 3 that “I will not vote for any [military] aid until we secure our own border.” He added, “Reform asylum. Reform parole. It is possible to do. Democrats don’t want to do it. All Republicans want to do it. I’m not helping Ukraine until we help ourselves.”

“There’s more joy in heaven when one sinner repents,” said a sardonic response from Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies. He continued, telling Breitbart News, “If this is a sign that the Republicans in the Senate are holding the line on important issues, like parole and asylum, that’s a good sign. Hopefully, there’ll be more of it …”

“The thing I’d like to hear [journalists] ask about is legal immigration. That’s where people like Graham and [former Gov. Nikki] Haley are not going to be good. But as long as the discussion is confined to controlling the border, Republicans have pretty much a united front,” Krikorian said.

GOP leaders know that immigration and the economy are the top priorities for the GOP turnout needed to win the November 2024 election. And even if they fail to force border changes, their public demands will create goodwill among distrustful GOP voters.

Democrats, however, are watching their own coalition divide as migrants flood into American communities and displace Americans from jobs, housing, and opportunities. GOP Senators know the Democrats’ divide will only grow during 2024 as millions of migrants are pulled by Democrats into Democrat communities, such as Chicago:

Democrat Senators are feeling the pressure for border reform, and several have indicated they would accept some curbs on the asylum loophole.

But the Democrats’ leadership is pressuring the GOP to fold.

The GOP’s demand for enforcement of U.S. border law is a “partisan” threat to worldwide democracy, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said in a November 26 letter to the Senate. “We cannot let partisan politics get in the way of defending democracy; that would be playing right into the hands of [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and [Chinese President] Xi [Jinping],” Schumer said in the letter, describing his plans for December.

The Monday standoff comes after a week of furious lobbying by Democrat-aligned pro-migration groups against any concessions on the border. The high-volume lobbying was led by FWD.us, an investors’ group that stands to gain from a greater inflow of foreign consumers, renters, and workers.

“They are holding aid for Israel and Ukraine hostage to changes to the asylum system that would destroy the asylum system,” Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) told CNN on Sunday.

Jayapal, an Indian-born advocate for massive migration into Americans’ workplaces, communities, and society, continued:

We need to put our foot down and say, “No,” … they want to try and trade destruction of the asylum system for aid for Ukraine. That’s just outrageous. We should say “no,” and force them to vote against this critical aid if that’s where they want to be.

Jayapal heads the Democrats’ Progressive Caucus in the House — and is increasingly under pressure because of her excuse-making for Hamas rapists.

Joni Ernst: Biden’s Shipping Illegal Aliens to U.S. Cities Is Displacing American Military Families

President Joe Biden’s Catch and Release network at the United States-Mexico border, responsible for sending millions of illegal aliens to cities across the country, is displacing American military families, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) says.

In October, reports circulated that American military families were having their hotel rooms canceled in the Boston, Massachusetts, area for the nation’s annual Army-Navy football game on Dec. 9 because the hotels were being used by state officials to house newly arrived border crossers and illegal aliens.

“It is flatly unacceptable for our veterans and military families to be displaced because of your administration’s failure to secure our southern border,” Ernst writes in a letter to Biden. “Military families who have scrimped and saved to be able to afford a trip to the Army-Navy game should not have to compete with illegal immigrants for hotel room space.”

Ernst said the fact that military families are now being impacted by the administration’s Catch and Release network makes it “abundantly clear” that “change is needed.”

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) questions President-elect Joe Biden’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, retired Army Gen. Lloyd Austin, at his confirmation hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee at the U.S. Capitol on January 19, 2021, in Washington, DC. (Greg Nash-Pool/Getty Images)

Ernst wrote Monday in a letter to President Biden:

It’s clear: These cancellations are due to your administration’s decision to ship illegal immigrants across the country to sanctuary cities at taxpayers’ expense. As you may know from the letter Governor Maura Healey (D-MA) sent Secretary Mayorkas, the demand for housing for illegal immigrants in Massachusetts has quadrupled from 25 families per day in March 2022 to over 100 families per day by July of this year. According to reports, the State of Massachusetts “spends about $45 million a month to house both homeless residents and migrants … in existing shelters, as well as various hotels and motels across the state.” [Emphasis added]

We are seeing your severe mismanagement take a tangible toll, not only for the local economies of all 50 states your administration has turned into border states, but also for those seeking to travel to these areas – like many Army and Navy veterans this weekend. [Emphasis added]

Now, due to your untenable border crisis which has allowed nearly eight million illegal immigrants entry into the country, veterans and future servicemembers and their families will be unable to attend this year. [Emphasis added]

Since Biden took office, his Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released an estimated 2.5 million border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities — roughly 60,000 released every month into the U.S. interior.

n August, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey (D) declared a state of emergency over the state’s inability to keep up with housing demand for newly arrived border crossers and illegal aliens. The issue has exacerbated the state’s housing crisis where thousands of Americans remain homeless and competing for shelter space and social services with foreign nationals.

Black Residents Sue Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson over Migrant ‘Tent City,’ State Halts Construction over Toxic Chemicals in Soil

Black residents of Chicago’s Brighton Park are suing Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson over the construction of his massive tent city for illegal border crossers — but not before state authorities shut construction down over a report that the site may be a toxic landfill.

Mayor Brandon Johnson’s plans to build a tent encampment for up to 1,400 illegal aliens has been under fire since it was first proposed, and residents quickly organized to oppose the plan to put hundreds of illegal immigrants right in the middle of their neighborhood without so much as a community meeting or a discussion with their alderman.

Twelfth District Ald. Julia Ramirez has disavowed Johnson’s construction effort.

Ramirez says she had no part at all in the planning and execution of the plans in Brighton Park.

The alderwoman’s letter to her constituents came only days after she was mobbed by furious residents when she visited the location of the proposed tent city on October 19.

Now, according to the X account of the 16th & 17th District Chicago Police Scanner, residents of Brighton Park are suing.

“Brighton Park residents are suing the city of Chicago for a temporary restraining order on the 38th and California migrant tent city,” the X account said:

At the hearing, it was revealed the city never issued construction permits for the tent city

The city is arguing that residents can’t hold the city accountable to follow its own zoning and building codes.

The Brandon Johnson administration is basically saying that the city doesn’t have to follow its own building codes and laws.

The city is also arguing that the soil is safe as long as you don’t eat it.

The mayor seems to understand how unpopular his tent city is. When the local Fox affiliate, WFLD-TV, sent a camera crew to film some of the construction work being done on the site, workers suddenly appeared to line the safety fencing in black material to keep the prying eyes of city residents and the media out of Johnson’s business.

The tent city is set to cost Chicago a whopping $29 million with a contract with Aegis Defense Services, under a branch being called GardaWorld Federal Services.

But even before the residents of Brighton Park launched their lawsuit, construction on Johnson’s much-derided tent city was put on hold by state officials after a newly released environmental report suggested that the land upon which the tent city is being erected is dripping in hazardous chemicals.

“The State has temporarily paused construction at the Brighton Park site pending IEPA’s (the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency) review of the environmental report. IEPA has some outstanding questions they are hopeful they can work through today,” Gov. JB Pritzker’s spokeswoman, Jordan Abudayyeh, told the media on Monday, CBS Chicago reported.

Johnson’s office confirmed the hitch in his tent city plans.

“According to the report, soil with mercury levels was identified at one location and was removed and properly disposed offsite at a landfill, and with the limited soil removal and placement and maintenance of the barrier, the site is safe for temporary residential use,” the mayor’s office said. “Further base camp construction and remediation of an additional 1 ft. x 1 ft. x 1 ft. area of the 9.5-acre site will continue per the timeline set by the State of Illinois. There is no construction or remediation scheduled at this time. The City will share assessment of subsequent remediation as it becomes available.”

Johnson’s office knew of the toxic chemicals being found in the soil at the site but deemed the soil removal conducted to level the ground for the tent city to be sufficient to eliminate the threat and said as much in the report released late last week.

In its report, the city claimed, “With the limited soil removal and placement and maintenance of the barrier, the site is safe for temporary residential use.”

While Johnson was sure that the “limited” soil removal was enough to eliminate any toxicity, state officials were not as sanguine over the claims.

An attorney for the residents suing to stop the construction of the facility was incensed over the whole situation.

“The city has been dishonest, liars, untruthful, not transparent. The city is not an honest broker, but what I will do is keep them accountable, and if they do lie, and if they’re not transparent, then I will hold them in a court in contempt,” attorney Frank Avila said on Monday.

Shakespeare would have had no use for President Joe Biden. If given the opportunity to dramatize his story, the Bard of Avon undoubtedly would have passed. His historical plays and tragedies were certainly partial to political leaders, and Biden has things in common with some of his most famous leading characters -- like Macbeth, he has political ambitions and a helpful spouse, and like King Lear, he has diminished abilities and problematic offspring -- but Shakespeare’s major characters were all deep and complex, prone to wander castle or moor emoting about an inner turmoil or bitter fate. Joe Biden has no such depth of character. When he wanders he’s just lost.

Our president would have been a perfect subject for a much different writer, Charles Dickens. In the 19th century, Dickens was the people’s choice.  He gave his readers what they wanted – entertaining, simple stories which saw virtue rewarded -- usually with a financial windfall, matrimony, or both -- and evil punished. Dickens’ readers knew what they were getting, subtlety be damned. For example, in Nicholas Nickleby an abuser of children was named Wackford Squeers, and a money-grubbing lawyer was named Mr. Gride. Dickens' audience couldn’t get enough, and with serial payments, book royalties and speaking fees, they made him the world’s first literary superstar.

Critics were less enthusiastic. They viewed Dickens’ novels as little more than morality plays, with side helpings of pathos and humor. His characters, they said, were two-dimensional. His heroic figures, like Little Nell (The Old Curiosity Shop) and Oliver Twist were virtue itself, and his villains were not just deeply flawed but paragons of evil, like Uriah Heep (David Copperfield), and Madame Defarge (A Tale of Two Cities). Because Dickens' villains were among his most memorable characters, he no doubt would have cherished an opportunity to portray President Joe Biden, who would have presented the author with an array of vices from which to choose.

Avarice

He wouldn’t have had to look far to find avarice, one his favorite themes. Dickens gave us Ebenezer Scrooge, who personified that vice, but he could not fail to be impressed by the covetous reach of Joe Biden and his family. As vice president, Joe traveled to the Ukraine to thwart an investigation into his and son Hunter’s influence peddling, only to use one billion dollars of taxpayer money to bribe his way out of hot water, and then brag publicly about exactly what he had done. That’s chutzpah to rival any “Bah! Humbug!”  A politician “of the people,” who never had a job outside of government and claimed he never owned “a single stock or bond,” he managed to pay $2.75 million in cash for a Delaware beach house. A clever writer might be able to connect Ordinary Joe’s extraordinary home financing to the fact that the purchase was only two weeks removed from his son's call to Russian business operatives demanding rapid payment of a $10 million “fee.” Dickens probably would have had great fun with the fact that Biden somehow wrangled $1.7 billion in public funds, calling it the Inflation Reduction Act, when its real purpose was to reward political donors and sneak in a Green New Deal, while adding massively to the public debt. Scrooge never did anything half as bad.

Delusion and Deception

Miss Havisham (Great Expectations) might have been in her own little world, but her fantasy life pales in comparison to Biden’s. An inveterate, if not accomplished, prevaricator, Biden deceives so often that few fact checkers still bother to chronicle his lies, most having concluded long ago that his endless misstatements are just “Joe being Joe.” No one knows if even he believes what he says, nor can he keep his stories straight. Biden claims to have grown up in a neighborhood that was either Jewish, Greek, or Puerto Rican, depending on his audience, and to have received the wisdom of his father on accepting gay people at a place that didn’t exist at the time. One of his favorite stories, long ago debunked, is about a chat he had with an Amtrak porter, who congratulated him on racking up 1.2 million miles on Air Force II. Unfortunately, records indicate that the porter died before Biden attained that frequent flier achievement. Recently, he told that story twice within one hour's time.

Some of Biden’s lies are harmless, just attempts to be one of the gang, like his claim to have once driven an 18-wheeler. Others are more serious, like his frequent claim to have marched for civil rights in the 1960s, and his oft-repeated lie that his first wife and one-year-old daughter died as the result of a drunken driver, when it was Mrs. Biden whose error caused the accident. The family of the other driver has repeatedly protested this untruth to no avail.

Incompetence

Incompetence was another favorite Dickensian theme. Wilkins Micawber, (Great Expectations) the persistent failure who nevertheless expected “something to turn up.” and the easily hoodwinked Samuel Pickwick (The Pickwick Papers) provided great entertainment, but as a colossal blunderer Joe Biden exceeds them all. His policies are uniformly catastrophic -- economy, border, crime, foreign affairs, national security -- and not only do they repeatedly fail, he and his spokespeople refuse to admit their blunders, much less correct them.

When average Americans suffer through high inflation and a lower standard of living, according to both President Biden and White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre, that’s “Bidenomics working.” Millions of illegals pouring across the border means that the “border is secure.”  As commander in chief, Biden will be forever remembered for the Afghanistan debacle, when he impulsively ordered a chaotic evacuation, leaving billions of dollars of equipment in enemy hands and Afghani allies clinging desperately to fleeing U.S. aircraft. In Dickens, incompetence is often portrayed as humorous, but in President Biden it has been deadly. Portraying our president’s ineptness in a way that the public would find entertaining would call on all the author’s powers.

The Unmentionable

One aspect of our president would have provided Dickens with no inspiration whatsoever: his sexuality. Victorian readers had an appetite for spicy stories, but they didn’t get them from Dickens. In his books, sex was implied rather than described. None of his characters ever paraded naked in front of the staff, showered with their daughter, or got handsy with females, young or old, all of which Biden has done. In Oliver Twist, the blackguard Bill Sikes did manhandle poor Nancy, but the abuse was physical, not sexual.

There is no doubt that Dickens would have left our president’s sexuality alone. The author had his standards; Biden has no such encumbrances.

Low Expectations

The difference between a flawed character and an outright villain is a matter of degree, and with so many human failings from which to choose, Dickens undoubtedly would put our president in the latter category. That would trouble the author greatly.

As a moralist, Dickens concluded his stories rightly. Heroes were rewarded, and villains, if they did not repent, (as Ebenezer Scrooge did in A Christmas Story) inevitably received just punishment.

Biden shows no signs of repentance, and right before our eyes is preparing to escape the consequences of his actions. His vices may eventually bring him down, but not all the way. With Dr. Jill guiding him as he shuffles offstage, he is headed not just to an afternoon nap, but to an escape from retribution: an irrefutable plea of non compos mentis.

No matter what revelations and investigations might lie ahead, Joe Biden is almost certain to evade the consequences of his actions. When shown the evidence of his bumbling, incoherence, and confusion, what court would ever find him competent to stand trial?

In Dickens' rogues’ gallery, Joe Biden would stand alone. He alone is going to get away with his malfeasance, because Ordinary Joe is no ordinary villain.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE PIG LAWYERS RUN THE SHOW!

Our Institutions Have Betrayed Our Trust

We are witnessing a recurring pattern of events – none of which make sense in a rational world.

Those we trust have told us to accept as truths that are now turning out to be lies. On the list are government investigative committees, our Department of Justice/FBI, the National Institute of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, weather scientists, and even teachers, to name a few.

But perhaps the greatest betrayal of trust comes from the news media. The journalists who bravely risked everything to investigate and report wrongdoing are no more.

Instead, the vast majority of the mainstream media support the lies in unison. And when there is even a hint of disagreement, they hysterically deny any opposing views.

The assassination of John F. Kennedy is a moment burned into the memories of everyone over 65 who knows the answer to the question, “Where were you when Kennedy was shot?”

The prestigious Warren Commission was set up when the “lone assassin” was killed as he was being transferred. All opposing views were universally dismissed as “conspiracy theories” for the next 60 years and records and evidence was sealed. Recently multiple new reports have emerged disputing the “single bullet theory,” which opens the horrifying possibility that there was an organized conspiracy to kill the president of the United States.

The modern-day question is “Where were you when you first heard of COVID-19?”

A series of strange deaths in a Washington State nursing home led to reports of a dangerous virus that kills 5-10% of its victims, leading to widespread panic and draconian lockdowns – ruining the U.S. economy. All attempts to link this to a purposeful action by communist China were dismissed as conspiracy theories.

Now we are learning that there is a secret China-linked bio lab in Californiadeaths from COVID were exaggerated, simple treatments that were vehemently opposed turn out to have been extremely effective and inexpensive, and the mRNA “vaccines,” which were rushed into service without adequate testing turn out to do more harm than good. And the person we trusted for our health and the health of our children, NIH “infectious disease expert” Dr. Anthony Fauci, was getting massive vaccine royalties from Big Pharma and entities from China and Russia.

The death of George Floyd in Minneapolis ended the lockdown as tens of thousands of “protesters” simultaneously ran into the streets looted billions in merchandise from local retailers and destroyed their own inner cities.

We were told by our trusted Federal Bureau of Investigation – an organization revered in American culture as the protector of law and order - that Floyd was an innocent man killed by police simply because he was black.

Here’s how it’s described on Wikipedia… “George Perry Floyd Jr. was an African-American man who was murdered by a white police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during an arrest made after a store clerk suspected Floyd may have used a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill…”

Derek Chauvin and three other officers were sent to prison.

The news media at the time excused the ensuing riots and thefts as justified and peaceful, despite their own video footage.

But a courageous independent Minneapolis reporter now calls the entire narrative into question - using information mostly available at the time of the incident. Floyd was not an innocent victim targeted because of his race by white cops, but a known criminal with a history of resisting arrest, drug use, and poor health.

Perhaps the most promoted “crisis” of our times is “global warming.” 97% of scientists agree, so it must be true. But facts are stubborn things, and scientists are now coming forward revealing they have been pressured to only do studies that confirm the theory. Our trusted scientists, who supposedly rely on peer review and verifiable experiments, have promoted a theory that has led to a war on fossil fuels that has ruined the our economy.

“Where were you when the 2020 election count was halted simultaneously in six swing states?”

Our public officials and the entire news media have spent countless hours explaining the 2020 election was the “most secure in history” and any attempts to dispute it are not only conspiracy theories, but sedition, as evidenced by the “insurrection” of January 6, where “right-wing radicals” stormed the U.S. Capitol in an effort to “overthrow the government.”

Hundreds of “protesters” have been rounded up and thrown in jail under the most egregious conditions and forced into plea deals and professing guilt, while those who steadfastly maintained their innocence have been sentenced to many years in prison. Calls to release the tens of thousands of hours of video footage of the event have been consistently thwarted – until now.

Fearless investigative reporter Lara Logan has released three reportshere, and here, exposing the involvement of Ray Epps, a mysterious rabble-rouser who insists he has no ties to the FBI but has never been prosecuted for inciting a riot.

Newly released footage show the story line of a violent insurrection is bogus. Police fired on the crowd with no warning, the protesters were peaceful and even smiling with police.

Teaching our children how to be productive members of our society has been considered to be one of the noblest of professions. But civics, logic and basic economics have been replaced with woke political ideology and sexual deviancy. Our most revered colleges have now been exposed as vile, anti-Semitic cesspools of hatred. Our children have no understanding of the Constitution or our rights as citizens.

And now a former president and candidate for 2024 has been saddled with scores of “trumped-up” charges designed to besmirch his character and ruin him politically and financially. Blue states are trying to force President Trump off their ballots, with no success – so far. These are tactics we thought only occurred in communist dictatorships or banana republics.

The creepy man who was declared president has been shown to be the most corrupt president in history, and is probably influenced by UkraineChina and/or Iran. However, the Democrats and RINOs cover for him and his son is offered sweetheart legal deals. The only hope to get to the bottom of the greatest scandal in American history is for the few remaining conservatives in the House of Representatives to follow through with their impeachment investigations – quickly. Every moment they wait is another stab in the heart of our country, its safety, and its prosperity.

Unless we are able to replace our greedy and compromised elected officials by fighting back against our corrupt electoral process (and here), we will forever be slaves, subject to the lies and intimidation of those currently in charge and forced to live with the rampant crime and ruined economy of a nation in decline with undefended borders.

It all comes down to restoring honest and fair elections, starting with exposing state voting rolls that are currently flooded with inaccurate data rendering results invalid. Local and state Board of Election officials who sign off on election certifications are guilty of serious federal and state crimes if they fail to follow laws scrupulously. Brave citizens in over 25 states have come forward to investigate and expose the blatant disregard for basic election procedures. We must support their efforts and demand our state legislators take back control of election procedures from governors, judges and bureaucrats.

Freedom is a terrible thing to waste.
