Happy Thanksgiving to Jamaal Bowman: House Ethics Committee Declines to Investigate Fire Alarm Scandal

The House Ethics Committee voted against opening an investigation into Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) on Wednesday for falsely pulling a fire alarm in a congressional office building in September.

Bowman, who previously worked as a middle school principal, pulled the fire alarm just as lawmakers were about to vote on a short-term government funding measure to avoid a government shutdown. The New York lawmaker faced six months jail time, but in a plea deal he agreed to pay a $1,000 fine and write an apology to Capitol Police. After three months of probation, the charge will be withdrawn.

The committee announced its decision in a press release, noting that the panel is required to consider whether or not to create an investigative committee within 30 days of a member being criminally charged.

“A majority of the Members of the Committee did not agree to establish an ISC or report to the House regarding Representative Bowman’s conduct,” the committee stated.

Bowman claimed he pulled the fire alarm because he was trying to open emergency doors in order to go vote. However, Breitbart News first broke the news that Bowman threw emergency warning signs to the floor before pulling the alarm, running down a set of stairs, and exiting the building from another floor, contradicting his claims.

Bowman has also claimed he was not trying to disrupt congressional proceedings, but acknowledged that he broke D.C. law by pulling the alarm.

After the incident, Bowman’s office sent suggested talking points to his Democrat colleagues enlisting their help defending him against “Nazi” Republicans.

A Black ‘Radical’ Mayor is in the Middle of the Worst Police Brutality Scandal

It doesn't get any more radical than a cover-up.

Forget George Floyd’s drug overdose or any of the other cases hyped by BLM. There is an actual bad case that comes from a politically inconvenient case.

To understand why it’s politically inconvenient, consider who the mayor of Jackson, MS is.

Here’s the Discover the Networks profile for Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba.

Chokwe Antar Lumumba was born in Detroit on March 29, 1983. His surname came from Patrice Lumumba, a Communist black nationalist who served briefly as the first prime minister of the independent Republic of the Congo in 1960. ..

An integral theme of the aforementioned elements of Lumumba’s mayoral campaign was his burning desire to end what he described as the “cycles of humiliation” that, by his telling, had defined black life in Jackson since time immemorial.

“So we’ve made the decision that we’re going to be the most radical city on the planet,” Lumumba told those in attendance. “We’re going to make certain that we change the whole scope of electoral politics.” “I’ll embrace the term radical,” he added. “… I believe that a radical is someone who cares enough about circumstances that they want to see a change … [W]e all need to be prepared to be as radical as the circumstances dictate we should be.”

The radical approach paid off.

From 2019 to 2020, murders in Jackson increased by 50%, and 2020 became the city’s deadliest year on record, by a wide margin. In fact, Jackson’s murder rate was now among the highest of any city in the United States. As a local news station reported, on average, someone in Jackson was either shot or killed every 31 hours in 2020.

And then the Dexter Wade case came along.

More than eight months after 37-year-old Dexter Wade was killed and later buried in a pauper’s field, his mother gave her only son the formal funeral that he’d been denied.

Her quest to find her son began soon after he left home on March 5 and didn’t return. For months afterward, missing persons investigators with the Jackson Police Department told her that they didn’t have any leads. Then, in late August, officers revealed that he’d been struck by a Jackson police cruiser while he was crossing a six-lane highway less than an hour after he’d left home.

The Hinds County coroner’s office told her his body had been buried in a pauper’s field in July after authorities had failed to reach his next of kin — even though, according to the family’s lawyers, an independent autopsy conducted on the family’s behalf this month found that Dexter Wade was buried with a state ID listing his home address.

Ben Crump, Sharpton and the other parasites are all over this, but unlike a lot of BLM cases, this is a legitimate case of police misconduct. Wade was hit by a police car and the local authorities chose to cover it up and bury the body out of sight.

What has Lumumba’s radical response to this been?

Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba asked for a moment of silence Thursday evening for Dexter Wade, who was killed in March near Interstate 55 and McDowell Road. Wade was walking in the area when he was struck by the Jackson Police Department vehicle.

Lumumba said police were unable to find Wade’s family in “an expeditious period of time and he was later buried, once the coroner went to the Hinds County Board of Supervisors to get permission to do so.”

Lumumba said Wade’s death was an “unfortunate and tragic accident.”

It doesn’t get any more radical and revolutionary than a cover-up.

At least 25 people were shot, one of them fatally, by Saturday night of Thanksgiving weekend in Mayor Brandon Johnson’s (D) Chicago.

By 7:53 p.m. Saturday night, CBS News reported 24 people had been shot and wounded and one person had been shot and killed in Chicago during the holiday weekend.

The fatal shooting occurred Wednesday night at 6:09 p.m. “in the 2500 block of West 63rd Street,” where a 27-year-old man was shot multiple times. He was transported to a hospital, where he died.

Hours later, just after midnight on Thursday, five teenagers ranging in age from 15 to 18 years, were shot in a drive-by incident “neat the United Center.” Each of the five emerged from the attack in good condition, surviving their wounds.

ABC 7 / Chicago Sun-Times noted that a man confronted then shot a 44-year-old man around 3:50 a.m. Friday “in the 6700 block of South Eberhart Avenue.” The armed man was upset the 44-year-old had not invited him to Thanksgiving Dinner.

The 44-year-old was transported to a hospital, where he was listed in fair condition.

A database maintained by the Sun-Times shows 537 people were killed in Chicago January 1, 2023, through November 25, 2023.

At least seven border crossers, all from Venezuela, were arrested in the sanctuary state of Illinois over the Thanksgiving holiday for allegedly shoplifting from various stores.

The first incident, days before Thanksgiving on November 16, saw 18-year-old Neikis Yeimily Salazar and 23-year-old Alexander Saul Martinez Lima arrested and each charged with one count of felony retail theft after allegedly shoplifting Christmas items at a Hobby Lobby in Deerfield, Illinois.

According to police, the two Venezuelan border crossers entered the Hobby Lobby and loaded nearly $900 worth of Christmas items into their shopping carts before allegedly leaving the store without paying for the items.

When police responded to the report of shoplifting, the pair had been pushing the shopping carts to a nearby motel. Eventually, officers recovered 104 Christmas items that the border crossers had allegedly stolen.

After being charged, Salazar and Lima were each released from jail and are due back in court on December 29.

In a separate incident in Elmhurst, Illinois, 37-year-old Ilys Mary Ledesma Zapata, 21-year-old Christian Johan Saavedra-Omona, and 33-year-old Braud Pineda Avendano — all newly arrived border crossers from Venezuela — were arrested and each charged with one count of felony burglary and one count of retail theft.

According to DuPage County prosecutors, the three border crossers shoplifted from a Kohl’s store more than $500 worth of items on November 24. When police arrested the trio for shoplifting at the store, they recovered a large magnet device on Ledesma Zapata used to get around anti-theft technology.

Ledesma Zapata, Saavedra-Omona, and Pineda Avendano were released from jail despite DuPage County prosecutors asking them to be detained because they posed a flight risk. They are due back in court on December 13.

In a third incident, on November 25, 27-year-old Lenguieyer Guevara-Muro and 20-year-old Jinder Moises Angulo-Aparicio were arrested and each charged with one count of felony burglary and one count of retail theft after allegedly shoplifting at a Macy’s store.

The pair, both newly arrived border crossers from Venezuela, are accused of stealing nearly $800 worth of clothing from the Macy’s store and filling a foil-lined bag with the items. The border crossers then left the store but were quickly approached by officers who had to bring Guevara-Muro to the ground because he resisted arrest.

“For the second day in a row, my office has filed charges against individuals from Venezuela accused of stealing merchandise from a retail store,” DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement.

While Guevara-Muro remains in local custody ahead of trial, Angulo-Aparicio was released from jail and his next court date is December 18. Guevara-Muro’s next court date is December 11.

Migrants Across America Enjoy First Thanksgiving with Free Turkey Feasts

Migrants across the country are enjoying their first Thanksgiving with free feasts featuring turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing as President Joe Biden has driven illegal immigration to the United States to unprecedented levels.

In the sanctuary city of Chicago, Illinois, where tens of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens have arrived since summer 2022, Levy Restaurants is producing 4,000 Thanksgiving meals.

Some of those meals will go to migrants who have been living in city-run shelters as well as sleeping on police station floors and at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

Similarly, in the sanctuary city of Boston, Massachusetts, thousands of Haitian migrants are getting Thanksgiving feasts, according to Boston 25 News:

About 2,000 Haitian migrants celebrated their first Thanksgiving in the United States through an event organized by a local non-profit as many families are still unsure where they are going to sleep. [Emphasis added]

Immigrant Family Services Institute (IFSI) provided turkey dinners with Haitian sides including rice, beans, and fried plantains in a joyful feast at several locations across Massachusetts. [Emphasis added]

“I feel so excited. I feel at home,” said Remy Pierre at the IFSI office in Mattapan. “I feel very grateful and joyful, because, right now, we were singing together, we were dancing together. We feel the family lifestyle.” [Emphasis added]

Also, in San Diego, California, a local Catholic Church is serving Thanksgiving dinners to thousands of migrants who have recently arrived from the U.S.-Mexico border. The migrants have been living in a shelter that was built about two months ago.

“We felt like the spirit was calling us to do this,” Father Scott Santarosa, with the church, told CBS 8 News. “We’ve been asking, ‘What does it mean to be a Jesuit Catholic parish here so close to the border?’ and I think this was a way God had us answer those prayers.”

In the sanctuary city of St. Louis, Missouri, local non-profits hosted newly arrived migrants for a Thanksgiving feast. In 2022 alone, St. Louis saw an influx of about 1,000 refugees from Ukraine and Afghanistan as part of Biden’s policy initiatives.

Tens of Thousands March Against Antisemitism in London Including Ex-PM Boris Johnson

 MUSLIMS IN PARIS BEHEAD TEACHER

Six teenagers in court over beheading of French teacher

FILE PHOTO: Tribute ceremony for slain French teachers Samuel Paty and Dominique Bernard at the Bois d'Aulne school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine

PARIS (Reuters) - Six teenagers go on trial behind closed doors on Monday, accused of involvement in the beheading of French history teacher Samuel Paty by a suspected Islamist in 2020 in an attack that struck at the heart of the country's secular values.

The teacher had shown his pupils cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad in a class on freedom of expression, angering a number of Muslim parents. Muslims believe that any depiction of the Prophet is blasphemous.

One of the minors is a 15-year-old girl who allegedly told her parents that Paty had shown caricatures of the prophet in her class. She will be charged with false accusation after it was established that she was not in the class when it happened.

Paty, 47, was killed outside his school in a Paris suburb by an 18-year-old assailant, born in Russia of Chechen origin, who was shot dead by police soon after the attack.

The five other minors to be prosecuted, aged between 14 and 15 at the time of the attack, will be charged with premeditated criminal conspiracy, or ambush.

They are suspected of having pointed out Paty to the murderer or helped monitor his exit from the school.

All six minors were referred to the children's court and could face 2.5 years in prison.

The hearings, due to last until Dec. 8, will be held behind closed doors.

Eight adults are also accused and will appear before a special criminal court.

France is home to Europe's largest Muslim minority and has suffered a wave of attacks by Islamist militants or their sympathisers in past years.

In the wake of Paty's killing, some teachers acknowledged they censored themselves to avoid confrontation with pupils and parents over religion and free speech.

LONDON (AP) – Tens of thousands of people including former U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson gathered in London on Sunday for a march against antisemitism, a day after large crowds turned out for a pro-Palestinian rally.

Johnson was joined by U.K. Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis and other senior government officials at the march to express solidarity with the Jewish community. Organizers billed it as the largest gathering against antisemitism in London for almost a century.

Marchers waved Israeli flags and Union Jacks, and held placards reading “Never Again Is Now” and “Zero Tolerance for Antisemites.”

Sunday´s march was organized amid concerns about rising tensions sparked by the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

“Anything which is associated with the Jewish religion now feel that they´re under attack and they have to look after themselves, have their own security,” said Malcolm Canning, 75, from London. “I never thought this would get to this stage in this country. And it´s very, very upsetting to see it.”

Police detained Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, the former leader of the far-right English Defence League, at the march. Yaxley-Lennon, more widely known by his alias Tommy Robinson, was among crowds of counterprotesters who clashed with police during an Armistice Day march in London earlier this month.

Police said that he refused to leave after he was warned about concerns that his presence would cause “harassment, alarm and distress to others.”

Gideon Falter, the chief executive of Campaign Against Antisemitism, said that the rally came after weeks of pro-Palestinian protests that had made the capital a “no-go zone for Jews.”

He said that antisemitic incidents in the U.K. have surged since the war began, and condemned what he called “appalling” placards seen at the protests – including ones “showing a Star of David thrown in the bin with a caption that says `please keep the world clean.´”

On Saturday, tens of thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters marched to demand a permanent cease-fire in the war.

Police said the majority protested peacefully, but 18 people were arrested for offenses including suspicion of inciting racial hatred.

The Stop the War coalition, which organized Saturday’s rally, stressed that those taking part oppose racism, antisemitism and Islamophobia.

During the Nov. 11 Armistice Day demonstration in London, pro-Palestinian protesters marched peacefully. But far-right counter-protesters whom police described as soccer “hooligans” clashed with officers trying to prevent them from attacking the march.

Organizers of Sunday’s march said that it was the largest gathering of its kind since 1936, when hundreds of thousands of people blocked a planned march by the British Union of Fascists through a Jewish neighborhood.

Third Hostage Group Includes Four-year-Old American Whose Parents Were Murdered by Hamas

Avigail Idan (Amir Levy / Getty)

The third group of Israeli hostages freed from Gaza on Sunday evening includes a four-year-old child whose parents were murdered by the Palestinian Hamas terrorists who attacked their community on October 7.

According to Israel’s Army Radio, the group of 14 hostages — 13 Israelis, plus one dual Russian-Israeli national — include ten of the 18 hostages taken from Kfar Aza, a community in which Hamas murdered 100 innocent people. Mothers and their children were among those released.

But four-year-old Avigail Idan — who holds dual U.S.-Israeli citizenship — will not be returning with her mother or her father, who were killed.

She is now an orphan. It is not clear if she knows what happened to her parents.

The Times of Israel reports that the full list of hostages released on Sunday includes the following:

  • Avigail Idan, 4 (Kfar Aza)
  • Hagar Brodetz, 40, and her children Ofri, 10, Yuval, 9, and Oriya, 4 (Kfar Aza)
  • Chen Almog Goldstein, 48, and her children Agam, 17, Gal, 11 and Tal, 9 (Kfar Aza)
  • Alma Avraham, 84 (Nahal Oz)
  • Aviva Siegel, 64 (Kfar Aza)
  • Sisters Ela, 8 and Dafna, 15, Elyakim (Nahal Oz)
  • Roni Krivoi, 25 (dual Russian-Israeli national, Supernova music festival)

In return, Israel will release 39 Palestinian terror convicts (the 14th hostage release was part of a separate deal with Russia).

According to Israel’s Army Radio, Alma Avraham has been taken straight to the Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva (Beersheba) for immediate medical attention. The others are being taken to Schneider Children’s Hospital. Another hostage, Maya Regev, who was let go earlier in the four-day “pause” was also taken to Soroka and will require several surgeries but is expected to recover.

Israel is also required, under the deal, to provide additional humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Israel claimed on Sunday that Hamas was preventing aid trucks from reaching the Northern Gaza Strip, possibly as part of a propaganda exercise.

Idan’s release marks the first American set free since a mother and daughter from Evanston, IL, were released in October. One of the other hostages released Sunday is also a dual American-Israeli citizen.

U.S. President Joe Biden noted Sunday that Avigail had been taken hostage as a three-year-old and had turned four in captivity.
