Dream Amnesty shot down in flames today (san jose north)
The defense bill was shot down in the US Senate today because Democrats loaded it with the Dream Amnesty bill. We will get a defense bill but it will be without the Dream Amnesty attachment, mark my words.
Strong opposition from the patriots who don't want amnesty for border-jumping illegal aliens won the day.
The Democrats who insist on amnesty rub the American voter and legal resident the wrong way.
A nation is based on laws and when a political party, like the Democrats, advocate amnesty for law-breakers, the citizens that believe in fairness, the law, and this country are up in arms.
The sad part is that the Democrats in power seem arrogant and will have their way regardless of the way their constituents think.
The San Jose City Council, for example, condemned courageous Arizona because Arizona stood up to the lawless element in their society and said "Enough is enough." Arizona has an illegal immigration problem but it is smaller than California's illegal immigration problem.
Doing research on San Jose, I found out that Mayor Reed tied the hands of the local police force and told them not to question immigration status of anyone. This is the type of arrogance I am talking about. Mayor Reed seems oblivious to the concerns of the citizens and legal residents of this city by imposing his value system on them.
We teach our children to obey the law, yet Mayor Reed and most of the San Jose City Council refuse to identify illegal immigrants, i.e., law-breakers, in essence, condoning law-breaking behavior. "After all, Mayor Reed, all of the undocumented immigrants broke the law crossing our border."
If you need another example of the arrogance of the local elected Democrats, Councilwoman Madison Nguyen wrote a resolution condemning the courageous state of Arizona for their attempts to control their illegal immigration problem. She also instructed the city attorney to file papers or do research or whatever on your taxpayer dollar.
If these arrogant Democrats cared so much, why aren't they using their own money instead of the taxpayers' money?
You want more arrogant Democrats? Don Gage and George Shirakawa of the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors want to opt out of the "Secure Communities" program. This program identifies illegal immigrants with serious criminal records, like theft, car theft, domestic violence, indecent exposure, fraud, driving under the influence, and drug charges. Go to the Sept 28 meeting.
Supervisors Gage and Shirakawa are more about pushing their political agenda than showing any concern for the citizens and legal residents of the county. Is it right to not identify these criminal illegal aliens? Do we leave these criminal illegal aliens on the street to hurt our children? Our neighbors? Our community? Just to satisfy the ego and political agenda of these two supervisors?
With actions by the Mayor, the San Jose City Council, and Supervisors Gage and Shirakawa, is it any wonder why California has the largest illegal immigrant problem of the 50 states?
The actions of the mayor, city council, and the two supervisors is telling every illegal immigrant community in the 50 US states that they can come to Santa Clara County, or San Jose and not be hassled for being illegal. The actions by these Democrats will draw illegal immigrants (undocumented persons if you prefer) here by the thousands if not hundreds of thousands.
Remember, the president is looking for public works projects, but the US Congress, controlled by Democrats, can't even get a fence put up on the Mexico/US border. Disgusting...
The mayor's press release talked about San Jose being a beacon for immigrants. I love legal immigrants. Legal immigrants are the backbone of this nation. But Mayor Reed lumps illegal immigrants in with legal immigrants. There is a difference, Mayor Reed. Legal immigrants respect our laws and our country. Illegal immigrants do not respect this country or its laws; else they would do lawful entry.
The mayor is right about this city being a beacon, but it will be a beacon calling all the illegal immigrants from across the 50 states and the rest of the world to come here. 100,000 illegal immigrants left Arizona according to DHS. Where do you think they went?
If you don't mind having a population of 1,500,000 with 500,000 illegal immigrants, keep electing folks like Councilwoman Madison Nguyen or Mayor Chuck Reed.
But I'm telling you, we can't afford what we have now. Look at the San Jose City Council and the Mayor; they just laid off 50 fire fighters.
What would you rather have? 50 trained fire fighters for the next terrorist attack, or 500,000 more illegal immigrants draining the city and county budget even more.
Remember: Democrats own San Jose, Santa Clara County, and the state of California.
The budget deficits are $118 million, $223 million, and $19 BILLION, respectively.
It's time to say NO to the Democrats.
Go to the Sept 28 Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors meeting and tell them NOT to opt out of the "Secure Communities" program.
Contact your city council member and tell him or her to rescind the Arizona condemnation resolution.
Tell Mayor Reed to bring back the fire fighters at full pay!
Do not re-elect Madison Nguyen to the city council. We need her working on the budget and not condemning our neighbors. If you re-elect Madison Nguyen she will be condemning 10 more states that are coming out with legislation like Arizona's.
Shall Madison Nguyen condemn Virginia, Utah, and Florida to start? Will Mayor Reed, Councilwoman Madison Nguyen, and the majority of the city council condemn 49 states on your tax dollar? Couldn't the money for all these condemnation hours be used to bring back the fire fighters?
The November election is coming up. Dump the Democrats.
Start with throwing Councilwoman Madison Nguyen out of office... She is focusing on another state's business and in doing so is dropping a welcome mat for more illegal immigrants to come to San Jose. And Mayor Reed doesn't seem to care.
