“Clinton has also stepped up her efforts to woo billionaires who
have traditionally supported Republican campaigns on the grounds that she will
be a more effective “commander in chief” and defender of the interests of Wall

“Our entire crony capitalist system, Democrat and Republican alike, has become a kleptocracy approaching par with third-world hell-holes. This is the way a great country is raided by its elite.” ---- Karen McQuillan THE AMERICAN THINKER.com
"Clinton, the candidate favored by most of Wall Street and the corporate elite and large sections of the Republican Party establishment, is seeking to assemble something akin, within the framework of the US political setup, to a grand coalition between the Democratic Party and the Republican leadership."
Transcripts released by WikiLeaks of Clinton speeches to Wall Street bankers, for which she received six-figure paychecks, show her praising the recommendations of the 2010 Simpson-Bowles deficit-reduction commission, which called for sweeping cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid; the elimination of 200,000 federal jobs; a tax on employees’ health benefits; and huge cuts in income taxes for the wealthy and corporate taxes.

Clinton preparing a bipartisan government of austerity and war
By Barry Grey
27 October 2016
With Election Day less than two weeks away, the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party are stepping up their preparations for the first 100 days of a Clinton administration. At the
center of these efforts is an attempt to forge a bipartisan
consensus with the Republican Party establishment on a
government dedicated to intensifying US military operations
in the Middle East and internationally and making the
working class bear the cost through stepped-up austerity
measures.

Most of the US media and political establishment have concluded that a Clinton victory over Republican candidate Donald Trump is a virtual certainty. While the opinion polls in general have swung in Clinton's favor in recent weeks, this conclusion could still prove to be premature. Despite her
edge over Trump, Clinton continues to be viewed as honest
and trustworthy by just 39 percent of the electorate, making
her the second most disliked presidential candidate in US
history, behind Trump.

The Republican candidate continues to attract broad support on the basis of his demagogic appeals to the anger and frustration of broad layers of workers and middle class people whose living standards have been decimated by the corporate-financial establishment the billionaire real estate mogul claims to oppose. The Clinton campaign, for its part, is strengthening its
orientation to the Republican establishment and wealthier
social layers that normally vote Republican but are put off by
Trump's overt racism and extreme nationalism and his
overall anti-establishment pose.

Developments such as Monday's government announcement that Obamacare premiums will rise an average of 25 percent next year, or revelations contained in Clinton emails yet to be released by WikiLeaks, or an unanticipated economic or political shock could have unforeseen consequences for the outcome of the vote.
What is clear, however, is that this
presidential election will bring to power the
most right-wing government in modern
American history, regardless which of the two
major party candidates wins.

corporate elite and large sections of the Republican Party

the framework of the US political setup, to a grand coalition
between the Democratic Party and the Republican
leadership.
Earlier this week it was reported that Clinton had initiated back-channel talks with congressional Republican leaders over the basic policies and leading personnel of a Clinton administration. It was also reported that Clinton’s transition team had hired more staff and stepped up its efforts to put together a new Democratic administration.
Clinton’s transition team is chaired by Ken Salazar, a former senator from Colorado and secretary of the interior during President Obama’s first term. Salazar is on the right wing of the Democratic Party. He has spent his political career fronting for big oil and other energy interests and sparked controversy within the Democratic Party when he introduced George W. Bush’s extreme right nominee for attorney general, Alberto Gonzales, and sat beside Gonzales during the latter’s Senate confirmation hearing.
The central political axis of a future Hillary Clinton administration is evident in the anti-Russian, McCarthyite-style campaign she is waging against Trump. She is seeking and gaining support across virtually the entire bourgeois political spectrum on the basis of an intensification of the US war for regime-change in Syria and an even more aggressive and reckless confrontation with Russia. In Syria, she is calling for the imposition of no-fly zones, which top US military figures have acknowledged would mean war not only with Syria, but also with Russia.
The Russia-baiting is intended to stampede and disorient public opinion, which is broadly anti-war, and enable an incoming Clinton administration to claim a mandate for military escalation. There have been numerous media commentaries pointing to broad dissatisfaction within the American foreign policy establishment, cutting across party lines, with Obama’s policies. The basic argument is that his administration, which has continued the war in Afghanistan, extended it into Pakistan, carried out devastating wars in Libya and Syria, launched a new war in Iraq, backed a Saudi-led war in Yemen and carried out hundreds of drone missile attacks across the Middle East and Africa, is too timid.
Last week, the Washington Post reported: “The Republicans and Democrats who make up the foreign policy elite are laying the ground work for a more assertive foreign policy, via a flurry of reports shaped by officials who would probably play senior roles in a Clinton White House.”
The article noted that the Democratic secretary of state under Bill Clinton, Madeleine Albright, is leading a “bipartisan and international team looking at US strategy in the Middle East” for the Atlantic Council. It quoted her as saying, “We do think there needs to be more American action—not ground forces but some additional help in terms of the military aspect.”
The ruling class knows that in carrying out such a foreign policy it risks a further growth of social anger and anti-capitalist sentiment. This has already found an initial expression in the mass support for the Sanders campaign and, in a more distorted form, the support for Trump’s supposed challenge to the status quo.
The problem facing the ruling class is compounded by the fact that the domestic side of a foreign policy tied to increased military spending is deeper social cuts. Clinton’s talk of taxing corporations and the rich to pay for a vast program of jobs and social reforms, such as “debt-free” college, is belied by the lopsided support for her campaign on Wall Street and among corporate CEOs.
To cite a few relevant facts:
* Of the $88 million donated by billionaires to the presidential candidates of the two major parties, $70 million has gone to Clinton.
* Corporate-funded super PACs have favored Clinton over Trump by a two-to-one margin.
* As of July, not a single CEO of a Fortune 100 company had donated to Trump’s campaign or endorsed him. Clinton had received contributions from 11 of the corporate chiefs.
* According to polls, 45 percent of households earning more than $100,000 a year plan to vote for Clinton, compared to 28 percent for Trump. For those earning $250,000 or more—the top 5 percent—the margin for Clinton is even greater, with 53 percent planning to vote for the Democrat and 25 percent favoring Trump.
Transcripts released by WikiLeaks of Clinton speeches to
Wall Street bankers, for which she received six-figure

2010 Simpson-Bowles deficit-reduction commission, which
called for sweeping cuts to Social Security, Medicare and
Medicaid; the elimination of 200,000 federal jobs; a tax on
employees’ health benefits; and huge cuts in income taxes for

Incoming Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer told CNBC last week that Clinton will propose allowing US corporations to repatriate their $2.5 trillion in profits stashed overseas at tax rate far below the corporate rate of 35 percent (perhaps as low as 10 percent), providing a huge windfall for big business.
To carry out such policies and fend off mass opposition from below, the ruling elite wants a united front of the two corporate-controlled parties. This may become all the more critical should the Republicans lose control of the Senate, considered likely, or even the House of Representatives, and find itself irreparably split.
A central task before an incoming Clinton administration would be to rescue and rehabilitate the Republican Party and shore up the two-party system. This is what Clinton and the Democrats are seeking to deliver, as evidenced by Clinton’s increasingly pronounced effort to present herself as the candidate of the entire political establishment.
Speaking Monday in New Hampshire, for example, she declared: “I’m proud to see Americans coming together—Democrats, Republicans and independents—to reject hate and division… I’m proud to have the support of more than 150 Republican leaders in the state who put country before party.”
As New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, a media surrogate for Clinton and the Democrats, put it in a column on Wednesday: “The country desperately needs a healthy center-right party…”

The Dissolution of American Culture
Joni Mitchell wrote "Both Sides Now" in 1967. Though she wrote it in the midst of the '60s cataclysm of protests against the Vietnam War, the advent of free love and all that that entailed, and what seemed like an all-out rebellion against everything that had come before, it was a sweet song about clouds and how children see them. Like Peter Yarrow's "Puff the Magic Dragon", it was just a lovely song. Sure, there is wistfulness in it, regret and ambivalence can be read into the lyrics. But it was well and truly just a beautiful song. And that was the turbulent sixties.
"Rows and rows of angel hairAnd ice cream castles in the airAnd feather canyons everywhereI've looked at clouds that way"
Fast forward to 2016. There are no beautiful melodies to what is still called “music” but is not music at all. Consider Kanye West's latest, called "Facts":
"Dirt and grime and filth insideThe story of my lifetimeOf cheating, stealing, never feelingPain of a brother, your dirty mother..."
We won't quote the rest because his lyrics are truly disgusting to anyone born before 1995. That millions of young people have made this man a millionaire is a sad commentary to say the least. West is vile, lewd, and rude -- everything we do not want our young people to become. But Kanye and his wife are good friends of Obama and are frequent guests at the White House along with numerous other rappers who spew equally offensive lyrics.
West's lyrics could almost be sung to Joni Mitchell's music. But they instead reveal the dystopian version of our culture that the Left has successfully brought about; cynical shallowness, no respect for anyone or anything, braggadocio, and a celebration of a materialism and personal wealth never before known or embraced. Because rap and hip hop are the vernacular of the black left, it must not be criticized, no matter how profane, sexist, racist, anti-police, or pro-violence. No matter how much a majority of black citizens hate it, they cannot speak out against it any more than peaceful Muslims can speak out against Islamic terrorists. They are afraid of being politically incorrect or of offending members of their own "community." Some community. The level to which American culture has demeaned itself is a betrayal of the word "community."
The transformation of American music naturally coincides with the transformation of American traditions on every level. The Left's agenda begun in earnest in the 60s has come to fruition with regard to music, culture, and of course, politics. Despite its responsibility for the election of Richard Nixon in 1972, (the public was horrified by the "radicals’" demands and behavior) the adherents of the "new Left" succeeded in taking over nearly the whole of academia where it has been entrenched ever since. Those tenured radicals have done a good job teaching three generations of young people to loathe their own country and dismiss the Constitution as a document written by old white men without a shred of relevance for their lives today. Today speech must be restricted, trigger warnings provided, safe spaces afforded lest someone be offended.
Today's millennials actually believe that George Bush killed more people than Stalin! They have purposefully been taught a falsified history of America (thank you, Howard Zinn). They have purposefully been taught that communism was not responsible for a hundred million deaths in the twentieth century. They have been lied to, those who went to school, about countless important events and issues in America's past and they have been thoroughly indoctrinated to hate everything great about this country. That is how Obama got elected -- he hates this country too. He, like so many young people, is not particularly skilled in the art of critical thinking.
The current state of American politics has given us Colin Kaepernicks' ridiculous and self-serving anti-"Star Spangled Banner" nonsense, Black Lives Matter violence against law enforcement, and the rise of segregation on college campuses demanded by black Americans who are being taught that all whites are racist because they were born white. They are not being assigned to read Frederick Douglass or Booker T. Washington, Shelby Steele or Thomas Sowell. They are taught to revile Clarence Thomas. The left foments racial animosity. It's what they do. It serves their purpose. Martin Luther King is spinning in his grave.
All of which brings us to the current election. Hillary Clinton is a known
liar, a criminal of monstrous proportions; others
have gone to prison for crimes she has committed
over and over: lying to Congress, lying to the
FBI, violating national security laws by which she
was bound as Secretary of State, etc. It's a long
list. Trump is a semi-outsider who has dallied throughout his adult life with both sides of the political spectrum. He has crossed the palms of anyone and everyone who could help smooth the many roads his businesses needed to be smoothed on their way to completion. That is what people like him do. It is sort of normal in our bureaucratic, overly-regulated world.

It is sort of normal in our bureaucratic, overly-regulated world.
What the Clintons did and do is not normal. Sure, politicians wheel and deal and find ways to make lots of money during and after they serve in office. But what the Clintons do is criminal because they do it wholly at the expense of the American people. And they feel thoroughly entitled to do it: gain power, use it to enrich themselves and their friends. They are amoral, immoral, and venal. Hillary has no core beliefs beyond power and money. That should be clear to every person on the planet by now.
Trump, for a rich guy, is curiously clueless about the rules of civility in the rarefied world of wealth and power in which he operates. That must be what has drawn his supporters to him. He speaks in a way that endears him to them and offends the elites of DC and many others who hoped for a different candidate. Those enthusiastic supporters may just put him in the White House. They show up to see him in the tens of thousands. They are excited to vote for him. Hillary's supporters are lethargic and bored; they show up in only hundreds of people. They sort of know she should never get near the White House again but do not have the guts to vote Republican. She and her husband have done terrible damage to this country as has Obama. She will do much, much more damage if elected because she only cares about three things: herself, power, and her personal wealth. She has nothing but contempt for the everyday people of this country.
But now it's just another showYou leave them laughing when you goAnd if you care, don't let them knowDon't give yourself away
Hillary is all show, and she gave herself away long ago. No one paying attention is laughing. If elected, she will further devastate our economy and take us down the road to Marxism, the kind that has failed everywhere it has been tried with tragic consequences.

We all know that in
her vision of an America without borders, Clinton sees enduring one party rule
by the Left, while America’s corporate and banking elite envisions low labor
costs forever.

The Tempest and the Witch
In Shakespeare's play, The Tempest, the "damned witch" Sycorax is never seen and presumed dead, but her elemental force works upon the mind of Prospero throughout, suggesting a powerful but unknowable and inarticulate evil that threatens the spell-woven order of the magical island. Although absent from the stage, the witch nevertheless represents a demonizing, subversive and thought-ending influence, the same human influence that every well-conceived constitutional order of government must meet and overcome if it is to endure. But Sycorax, as it turns out, is not dead after all, for she has chosen this moment to enter into the liberal spirit of the Democratic Party and she is now plainly visible on the political stage as a crooked and unsympathetic figure, neither beloved nor trusted, in pursuit of the presidency of the United States of America
As the witch Sycorax was an unseen threat to Prospero’s well-laid order, Hillary Clinton and the liberal establishment represent a covert threat not only to the Constitution's fundamental law but also to the ideal of democracy itself. The purpose of our republican form of government is to deny legitimate office to illegitimate power, because once political power has become entrenched, its administrators will always find the means, through a general disregard of constitutional order, to perpetuate their advantage and self-interests through their appropriated rule-making authority. Democracies decline in this manner too easily into one-party rule and ultimately into a species of despotism, whether a despotism of the many, the few, or the one, as in the Venezuelan model. It would be unwise to deem ourselves invulnerable to this historical imperative.
All democratic societies are vulnerable to the political choices available to them. In the fallout of our present election, a Clinton presidency will further license a progression of entrenched power at the center of our government -- a state of affairs from which there can be little hope of recovery.
In one sense, Hillary Clinton represents an image of the stereotypical politician: ambitious, unprincipled, and guided only by political self-interest. But in another more disturbing impression, she embodies all that is indecent and corruptible with human character in pursuit of power. Her dishonesty precedes her like an advertisement. Everyone knows she will lie, for she, like Obama, studies and calculates upon the political advantages that accrue to dishonest rhetoric. Power is the opiate of the liberal mind. She speaks the insider's voice and she is delirious on the insider's intoxication with power. The elitist environment in which she swims is as undemocratic in its nature as despotism itself, and the spirit of Sycorax is manifest in her open contempt for the American people who, in her own words, are little more than "a basket of deplorables." That she feels she must lie in every speech and upon all occasions in order to gain their votes is a clear signal of her disrespect for them. It is a disease of our culture that the entire Democratic establishment finds political advantage and comfort in agreeing with her unconcealable disdain for the "stupidity" of millions who wish only to live their lives without the interference of government, and the fact that many of these same Americans, hearing and believing her lies, are willing to vote for her merely reinforces that liberal sentiment.
We have reached that point in our political affairs most feared by the founders of our republic: the virtual tyranny of one-party rule. Progressive interests in the Democratic Party have discovered the means by which they may perpetuate themselves in power indefinitely, and they have only to win the presidency and the Senate at this time in order to achieve that victory over the American people they have sought after for one hundred years.
It should surprise no one then that America has now become the toy of faction. The forthcoming election will tell us if the people understand its consequences: that whether or not we are interested in saving the future of America from the destruction of the democratic process by progressive interests within the Democratic Party. We fear corruption at the highest levels, but we can no longer ignore the disastrous effects of entrenched power within the Obama administration. We have experienced the failure of the FBI to recommend an indictment of any person to the Justice Department regarding Secretary Clinton’s illicit private email server and the subsequent closure of that department’s investigation. We know that a top State Department official offered key overseas posts to the FBI in exchange for de-classifying certain Clinton emails found on the server -- an illegal "quid pro quo." We have further discovered that the FBI issued numerous grants of immunity from prosecution to significant players under Secretary Clinton’s supervision in exchange for information, and that the FBI has subsequently allowed for the destruction of devices holding that information. We understand that Attorney General Loretta Lynch may have been influenced by a meeting with former President Bill Clinton on the tarmac at the Phoenix airport immediately prior to the FBI's decision not to seek an indictment against his wife. Further evidence of corruption regarding the State Department’s collusion with the pay-to-play culture inside the Clinton Foundation are too numerous to be listed here.
History will record the Obama presidency as an era of ideologically induced political injustice, the consequences of which would ensure the establishment of a significant class -- a permanent majority, in fact -- of American voters dependent entirely on government programs for their subsistence. But subsistence is need without trust. One may accept the benefits of government assistance while still disparaging the policies and conditions that make assistance necessary. This is, however, the social programming scheme upon which the Democratic Party builds for its success. A Clinton presidency will certainly do nothing to discourage the socialist promises of entitlement or the political disease and enmity infecting our culture. Two very disturbing conclusions thus emerge from the consequences of liberal policies presently enacted: the first, that justice is the rule of the stronger party; and the second, that bad government creates an uncivil society.
We can feel the nation disintegrating as though from a disease we cannot name or understand. But the disease is political in its nature and one of deep-running stasis, and a malignant progressive ideology is its cause. We dream of medicines and cures, for it is not our republican form of government at fault, nor the Constitution that created it, but the bad people, maddened with ideology and emboldened by the conviction that they are above the law, who, by election or appointment, have entered into the system and cheapened every value necessary to self-government.
The catastrophe is foreseeable and credible, and therefore preventable. America can no longer suffer for the entitlement schemes of a few in the power of office. We have had the benefit of time to reflect upon the consequences of our last two presidential elections. To anticipate that our lives and our fortunes will improve by electing another Democrat to the presidency is to embrace a cheating fancy and to bid farewell to reason -- for if America fails in her yet unfinished republican task, we shall know at last that neither ordered liberty nor self-government are possible in this world.

Clinton: “I love having the support of real
billionaires”
By a reporter
28 October 2016
28 October 2016
In a speech Wednesday in Lake Worth, Florida, near West Palm Beach, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton gushed about her support from the super-rich, praising her billionaire supporters and contrasting them to Republican candidate Donald Trump.
An excerpt is worth quoting as a demonstration of the abject subservience of the Democratic candidate to the capitalist financial aristocracy. According to the transcript supplied by the Clinton campaign, she said:
“You know, I love having the support of real billionaires. And they’ve been speaking out, because Donald gives a bad name to billionaires.
“Warren Buffett says, ‘Raise my taxes. It’s wrong I’m paying a lower tax rate than my secretary pays.’ That is wrong. He knows it. Mark Cuban says every time he’s sold a company, he has shared the profits with his employees, making 300 millionaires, from security guards all the way up to executives. Mike Bloomberg says he knows a con artist when he sees one.
“So we can do better. We’re going to raise taxes on the wealthy, because they’ve gotten most of the gains from the economy. And I don’t think it’s right that Donald Trump, a guy who claims he’s worth $10 billion, should have paid zero in federal incomes taxes for 20 years. He paid less taxes than probably everybody else here.”
There is no recorded response to these remarks from Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who claimed that his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination was to free the political system from the domination of the “millionaires and billionaires.”
Now Sanders is engaged in a most demeaning—and revealing—effort, barnstorming college campuses and other arenas to which he has been assigned by the Clinton campaign, claiming that the election of Hillary Clinton, the sycophant of billionaires, is the necessary next stage of his “political revolution.”
