What
to Do About China And Its American Lackeys

America’s
China problem is a two-part problem – one part is dealing with those
pangolin-kebabing commie bastards and the other is dealing with their fellow
travelers among our garbage globalist elite here at home. But the Chinese coronavirus
– aptly named the “Chinese coronavirus” because this pandemic is the result of
either Chinese incompetence and/or bizarre bat soup gulping, plus a lot of
standard ChiCom deception – has at least made clear that we better deal with
them before they deal with us. It’s a wake-up call we better heed by getting
woke.
Red China must be dealt with as what it is – an enemy. If the
country’s Maoist mullahs had decided that they wanted China to spin-up into a
first world power and responsibly assume a place at the world’s head-table by
trading fairly, respecting human rights, not stealing our inventions, and not
sending weird bugs across the globe, cool. But Red China wants to dominate the
world.
It can’t and won’t do it militarily, at least outside its
immediate geographic zone of control. Inside that zone, it wants to be the big
bully on the block and it is only a matter of time before it decides to flex
its muscles against Taiwan, then Vietnam, then Japan, and sometime in the not
too distant future, against us. The fact is that China is building up combat
power designed to take on the U.S., to defeat our strengths (like by building
hypersonic missile systems to take out our carriers), to steal our tech (weird
how all their jets look just like ours), and to dominate in space and cyber.
Still, this is a naval conflict primarily, and we still have some advantages,
including good ships (but not enough) and a longer, stronger naval tradition.
You can’t just build massive, integrated blue water fleets and suddenly be able
to employ them effectively. We have been doing that for a century, but let’s
not get cocky. Our naval traditions today may not be the “rum, sodomy and the
lash” that still built a winning Royal Navy, but they are hardly those of
ruthless competence either. Our ships run into other ships too often, and
there’s way too much “social justice” and not enough “warrior” in the mix. The
indiscipline of the captain of the Roosevelt was
appalling and if the bozos with stars give him back his gig cuz the Twitter blue checks whined, that’s worse.
Virtue signaling one’s feelz isn’t going to win wars.
But even
if our naval traditions were up to snuff, we can’t rely on them to counter the
Chinese quantitative advantage and growing competence and confidence. Remember,
the Japanese Imperial Navy the Westerners pooh-poohed wiped out the Russian
fleet at Tsushima in
1905. Sadly, I would not be surprised to see an initial battle with Xi the
Pooh’s sailors end up in a “shocking” victory for the ChiComs that should not
shock anyone paying attention.
But the Chinese main effort is not military. It is economic,
supported with information operations and diplomatic initiatives. The massive,
pervasive theft of our intellectual property has saved China trillions. The
unfair trade deals we still accept have destroyed our manufacturing capability.
And the ChiComs are aided and abetted by the globalist Fifth Columnists here at
home who have been bought off by the opportunity to get rich selling us out to
the Reds. Far too many people at the heights of power in our country, including
but not limited to Grandpa Badfinger’s stoner son Hoover, are getting rich
doing China’s bidding. If you point out that we are educating a generation of
Chinese students and inviting in “scholars” and “workers” who are active agents
of Chinese intelligence and who are stealing us blind, our garbage elite will
provide cover against the necessary steps to stop this looting by labeling it as
“racist.” China is using our idiotic political correctness fixation as a
propaganda weapon, and diplomatically it is going to the rest of the world and
inviting them to sign up with the winning team.
What do we do?
We need a massive build-up of conventional military power at
sea, in the air, in space, both outer and cyber. And we need to return to
having a serious military that focuses on killing our enemies and not on
pronoun policing and stress card sissification. Without both, our first day of
war with China – which our fecklessness makes certain to come – will make Pearl
Harbor look like a group hug.
We need to take this moment to understand that Red China is a
hostile power seeking to defeat us economically. We need to aggressively
repatriate critical industries home from China. We need our own drug industry
back, our own rare-earth mining capacity, our own steel sector. We need to
waive the frivolous regulatory nonsense that made China attractive to
businesses in the first place. If the EPA keeps us from mining rare earth
elements, it’s the EPA that needs to go, not our capacity to obtain these
critical resources.
We need to do what China does without hesitation: bar Chinese
companies or Chinese-controlled companies from participating in critical infrastructure
like 5G.
We also need to stop pretending China is a developing nation
and demand it fund all international organizations at America’s level. That it
owns the WHO, yet pays a fraction of what we do is ridiculous. In too many ways
– including in the idiotic climate hoax arena – China gets an edge by
pretending it is not a First World nation and getting breaks we do not.
We need to clamp down on espionage, both strategic and
economic. We need to openly tell the truth: China targets the Chinese diaspora
to use as spies. That’s not racist. That’s a fact. But let’s not let the
traitors who are not of Chinese descent off the hook. There are too many people
who will sell out their country for a few renminbi. We need to get the FBI out
of domestic politics and massively focused on uprooting these foreign agents.
All spies should be subject to lengthy prison sentences. This nonsense about
just a year or two in jail needs to end. And we need to clear out academia of
Chinese nationals, both students and faculty. Why are we training our enemy?
Plus, we must ruthlessly expose just who China has bought in our universities,
the corporations, and the media.
China is
largely to blame for the Wuhan Flu pandemic, but the idea of suing it for
compensation is as useless as it is politically attractive. Here’s the way to
kill two bats with one stone: impose a penalty tariff on all Chinese goods to
create a huge pot of money to compensate the victims of ChiCom lies as well as
give our industries a chance to recover.
Most of all, we need to get serious about this conflict, and
it is a conflict. We tend to see other people from our own perspective. We are
reasonable, fair, and just. But communists are none of those things. These red
bastards exploit the patriotism of the Chinese people – who have every right to
seek prosperity and freedom – to consolidate power and turn the spotlight off
their own manifest failures and tyrannies. We need to get woke, as the hep kids
say, woke to the fact that the Mao pals are bad people and we better understand
that before one morning we wake up with their boot on our neck forever.

Americans Now Know the
Ruling Class Sold the Nation Out to China
The Wuhan Virus Pandemic has Exposed the American Ruling Class
At the culmination of a
national health or societal crisis in the United States, it has become de
rigueur for the media and innumerable pundits ensconced within the professional
class to perform a post-mortem on how the citizenry handled the crisis and what
lessons the rubes in fly-over country should have learned. But in the current
pandemic, the top levels of professional class that populates the ruling class
and runs the media and the major institutional bureaucracies has irretrievably
unmasked itself. And the in the postmortems that will come, they will be found
deficient.
Credulous Cowards
An immutable tenet of
today’s ruling class is that if someone or an institution within their power
base is labeled as “experts,” then these authorities are not to be questioned
and their assumptions, predictions or projections must be treated as gospel.
The century that followed the rise of the Wilsonian progressives, who idolized
a powerful government run by educated experts, saw enormous scientific,
medical, and industrial achievements the hands of experts, the products of
higher education. The professional class, usually products of higher education,
grants deference to certified experts, and the media makes celebrities out of
those experts that support important goals of the ruling class. Experts have
had a very good century.
Life
is better when you're an approved expert
In the early stages of
the coronavirus outbreak, the World Health Organization, a darling of the
American elites, claimed China was
successfully mitigating the spread and the virus was not spread by human to
human contact. Other experts, such as Dr. Anthony Fauci, claimed the virus was not a
serious threat. These proclamations were believed without question by the ruling class
as is borne out at the time by their public statements, published articles and
mocking of President Trump for taking the threat far more seriously than any of
the nation’s elites.
However, on March 16, an
even higher echelon of experts, the Imperial College in London, came out
with a study projecting 2.2 million Americans would die if no mitigation took
place or 1.1 million if an unprecedented societal shutdown were imposed. This
immediately became the new mantra and the media arm of the ruling class was
dispatched to spread this apocalyptic message far and wide and to now vilify
President Trump for not doing enough soon enough.
Within 10 days, however,
the Imperial College walked back their doomsday
scenario reducing the fatality estimates by over 90%. Nonetheless,
thanks to our media class, mass hysteria was consuming the nation, so more
experts were needed to keep up the drumbeat of fear and trepidation.
Enter the University of
Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation on March 25,
predicting a meltdown of the nation’s
health care system due to an enormous shortage of hospital and ICU beds
throughout the nation, as well as up to 162,000 deaths. The immediate necessity
of a societal lockdown, regardless of the economic or human cost, was thus cast
in stone. Since that original study, the IHME has revised their study
three times reducing their projected death toll by 60% and downgrading the need
for hospital and ICU beds by more than 80%.
During this entire period
of time, the nation’s elites never questioned or highlighted the errors of
either the experts who claimed that the virus was under control and not a major
concern or those and their projections which were used to shut down the nation
and cast untold millions into unemployment and unbelievable distress. By
mid-March, their media arm had created such a groundswell for a national
lockdown that any countervailing studies by numerous
non-preferred but eminent doctors and scientists in the United States and
around the world were ignored and their research not permitted to see the light
of day.
One must conclude,
therefore, that the ruling class is too credulous to question any of their
annointed experts and too cowardly to ever admit their own errors in
judgment.
The Ruling Class Exhibits
Totalitarian Tendencies
Conservatives have cast a
jaundiced eye toward the principal political arm of the ruling class, the
Democrat Party, for many years, believing the leadership and elected cohort to
be closet totalitarians. As the coronavirus lockdowns spread from state
to state, the party, its elected officials and its propaganda arm, the
mainstream media, unabashedly emerged from that closet, along with a few
Republicans.
Wannabe autocrats
surfaced in New Jersey, Michigan, Maryland, Pennsylvania, California and 25
other states, issuing contradictory and often illegal orders and proclamations
under the threat of jail or severe fines. Virtually all these unilateral
proclamations, without benefit of any legislative or judicial action,
drastically curtailed essential civil rights.
The Governor of New
Jersey, Phil Murphy, was asked by Tucker Carlson by what authority
did he have to nullify the Bill of Rights in issuing an order that resulted in
15 people being arrested for congregating in a synagogue. His response:
“I wasn’t thinking of the Bill of Rights when we did this…we looked at all the
data and science and it says people have to stay away from each other.” Murphy
is a member in good standing of the ruling class and their deference to
preferred “experts” and not the Constitution.
It was not just governors
and mayors on the state and local level. Others such as Nancy Pelosi,
Chuck Schumer, the entire hierarchy of the Democrat Party, the mainstream media
and the coastal elites supported and applauded these actions. Further,
this same cabal publicly proclaimed this crisis was the ideal opportunity to
force their long wished for socialist agenda on the nation.
The façade of moderation
the ruling elites built over the years is no more. They have exposed
themselves for who they really are: totalitarians. If they were ever to
control all the levers of power, they would never willingly surrender them.
Americans Now Know the
Ruling Class Sold
the Nation Out to China
While the American public
has long been suspicious of Chinese influence in America, the coronavirus
pandemic has exposed for all to see the extent of this nation’s reliance on a
global adversary for necessities such as medical and pharmaceutical
products. And that the single-minded pursuit of wealth and power prompted
the American ruling class to proclaim over the years that it was a great benefit for the United
States to empower China.
China owes its faster
than expected rise as a world power to the transfer of American jobs,
technology, capital, and business acumen to China so that US shareholders could
receive capital gains, US executives could receive incentive pay for producing
consumer products at a much lower labor cost, and the nation’s elites could,
using riches from Chinese investments in the US, consolidate their retention of
power.
Apparently, the American
ruling class could not comprehend that if US corporations produce the goods
they market to Americans offshore, it is the offshore countries that benefit
the most from the economic activity. If that location is an authoritarian
regime bent on world domination, then they will use their newfound wealth to
build up their military, exploit and suppress their citizenry, promote
manufacturing dependence, and corrupt the governing classes of their potential
adversaries.
And a substantial segment
of the American ruling class has been corrupted by the Chinese
Communists. (Investigative reporter Lee Smith has an excellent analysis
of how this corruption evolved at TabletMag.com.) These
sympathizers are presently defending China by unabashedly regurgitating
Chinese propaganda about who was responsible for the Wuhan Virus, how it was
spread and by refusing to acknowledge that the globalist philosophy of
dependence on potential foreign adversaries for manufactured goods was a
mistake.
The coronavirus crisis
has revealed to an increasingly larger percentage of the populace the extent to
which they were sold out by a now compromised ruling class.
The Ruling Class Cares
Only About Itself Not the American People
From mid-January to the
present, the reaction of the nation’s elites to the Wuhan Virus pandemic has
been almost solely based their intense hatred of President Trump. In
January and February, among a number of other steps, Donald Trump imposed a
travel ban on Chinese nationals and quarantined those Americans returning to
the United States from the Wuhan area. At the time, he was pilloried as a
xenophobe who was overreacting. Now the President is savagely maligned
for not doing enough in January and February.
During the month of
March, hyping extraordinarily flawed studies, the media by constant
fearmongering stampeded the general public into demanding action from the
administration. A partial shutdown was proposed which gave license to the
wannabe dictators in various states to impose near martial law. In just
four weeks nearly 30 million have lost their jobs, the economy is in tatters
and the national debt, due to relief and stimulus spending, will balloon by
over $6 trillion (the total national debt in 2002: $6.2 trillion).
The original purpose of
the shutdown was to “flatten the curve” and slow the spread. Which has been
accomplished. The time has come to reopen the economy. Except many
of the denizens of the ruling class insist on moving the goalposts and
setting targets that can never be
met before the country reopens. They are insisting on universal testing (an
impossibility) and a vaccine (which will take up to 18 months) before the
nation can get back to work. In other words, a guaranteed safe world --
there can be no more outbreaks and deaths from the virus. They intend to
hold President Trump politically responsible for a reopening that in any way
fails to meet these unattainable metrics.
The fate of untold
millions of Americans mired in an economic and societal depression is
immaterial as long as the economy and the nation are in shambles come November
3, 2020. The people be damned as long as Donald Trump and his populist
movement, the most serious threat the ruling class has ever faced, are
permanently defeated.
This nation has survived
wars, depression and seven global pandemics yet the Wuhan Virus has revealed
that the current American Ruling Class is most serious long-term threat to this
nation in its 244-year history.
Meanwhile, Jerry Brown’s successor Gavin Newsom rejects American
products and labor to strike a $1 billion deal with BYD, a Chinese company with
a record of faulty products, and as Oregon Democrat Peter DeFazio testified last year, “a
company that is very heavily subsidized by the government of communist China.”
If anybody believed Newsom should register as a lobbyist for BYD or an agent of
China it would be hard to blame them.
Newsom Masks $1 Billion Deal with Chinese Company
Democrat governor hides the
details, even from fellow Democrats.
Fri Apr 24, 2020
“We’ve been competing against other states, against other nations,
against our own federal government for PPE — coveralls, masks, shields, N95
masks — and we’re not waiting around any longer. And we’re no longer interested
in the progress that we were seeing in the past.”
That was California governor Gavin Newsom in an April 7 MSNBC
appearance with Rachel Maddow. As Newsom
added, “In the last 48 hours we have secured –through a consortia of nonprofits
and a manufacturer here in the state of California – upwards of 200 million
masks on a monthly basis that we’re confident we can supply the needs of the
state of California, potentially the needs of other western states.”
As it happened, the manufacturer wasn’t exactly “here in the state
of California.” The manufacturer was BYD, “Build Your Dreams,” a Chinese
company not known for making personal protective equipment. Newsom wasn’t
revealing details of the $1 billion deal, which as John Myers of
the Los Angeles Times noted, “will cost taxpayers 30 percent more than the
governor’s January budget allotted for infectious diseases for the whole fiscal
year.”
The day after Newsom’s MSNBC appearance, San Francisco Democrat
Phil Ting, chairman of the Assembly Budget
Committee, told reporters, “We don’t have any information as to how many masks
we’re buying, who we’re buying them from, at what price. What are we obligated?
For how long are we obligated?” Los Angeles Democrat Holly Mitchell, chairwoman
of the Senate Budget Committee, fired off an official letter demanding details. Newsom wasn’t talking, which prompted an
escalation.
“Perhaps it’s time for legislative leaders to dust off their
rarely-used subpoena power,” the Sacramento
Bee editorialized on April 22. The administration feared that “Trump might
steal California’s equipment,” but that did not justify Newsom’s decision “to
hide a taxpayer-funded contract from legislative leaders.” Neither did
the obfuscation account for “other reasons why the administration may wish to
shield the contract from oversight.” Journalists and legislators alike should
have seen this coming.
In March, as CalMatters noted, legislators “made $500 million available immediately and allowed
Newsom to spend up to $1 billion total,” and unanimously passed two bills
“waiving a requirement that legislation must be in print for three days before
lawmakers can act.” Legislators also suspended public hearings for at least a
month and floor votes for at least a month. As Republican assemblyman Jay
Obernolte explained, “We are placing an extraordinary degree of trust in
Gov. Gavin Newsom.” The governor took full advantage, opting for BYD despite
serious issues with the Chinese company.
BYD has “glaring red flags on its record, including a history of
supplying allegedly faulty products to the U.S., ties to the Chinese military
and Communist Party, and possible links to forced labor,” reported Daniel Newhauser and
Keegan Hamilton of Vice News. The federal
Food and Drug Administration gave the company emergency approval, even though
BYD had been prohibited by law from bidding for some federal contracts and is
involved in lawsuits with several states.
Newsom was not forthcoming about the deal’s details but it did
emerge that California already sent the first installment of
$495 million to BYD. When reporters
approached BYD, the Chinese company referred all questions to Newsom’s office.
The governor’s deal with BYD was not the first time California politicians
rejected American products and American labor in favor of China.
“California Turns To China For New Bay Bridge,” noted Richard Gonzalez of
NPR back in 2011. On this key infrastructure project,
“California avoided legal requirements to use domestic steel by not using
federal funds for the job.” Since politicians seldom if ever turn down federal
funds, they must have been determined to outsource the job to “a state-owned
Chinese company, Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries.” This was supposedly to
save money, but it didn’t.
The bridge came in $5 billion over budget, a full 10 years late,
and riddled with broken rods and faulty welds, all performed in China. Every
one of the bridge’s 750 panels had to be repaired. The Grade BD Chinese steel
was prone to embrittlement, and in 2013 dozens of the long metal rods on the
project snapped. When apprised of the lingering safety issues, Gov. Jerry Brown
famously said “I mean, look, shit
happens,” with no second thoughts about
California’s use of Chinese steel, faulty work by Chinese workers, fathomless
waste and corruption, and the ensuing coverup by politicians.
Meanwhile, Jerry Brown’s successor Gavin Newsom rejects American
products and labor to strike a $1 billion deal with BYD, a Chinese company with
a record of faulty products, and as Oregon Democrat Peter DeFazio testified last year, “a company that is very heavily subsidized by the government of
communist China.” If anybody believed Newsom should register as a lobbyist for
BYD or an agent of China it would be hard to blame them.
Gov. Newsom told reporters his deal with BYD was “not political.
This is not in any way, shape or form usurping or undermining.” If anybody
believes that, Newsom has a bridge to sell them, not that anybody is buying
these days.
The California economy is
in freefall, and as Newsom said Wednesday, “there is no date for easing restrictions.”
China is an
existential threat to the United States. Joe Biden and the Democrat Party
would abet the Chinese in their quest for global hegemony and in essence
surrender American sovereignty.

China
Backs Democratic Resistance to President Trump
Democratic governors are forming
regional blocs to resist President Donald Trump’s efforts to get the American
economy moving and put people back to work. They have picked up a powerful
ally, one that should give the public cause for alarm. On April 19, the
editor-in-chief of the Global Times, a major
media outlet of the Chinese Communist Party, wrote an op-ed in which
he stated “My advice is to focus China-US anti-epidemic cooperation with US
states, while giving the federal government a cold shoulder.” Like the
Democrats, Hu Xijin attacked Trump’s policies and proclaimed, “China needs
to take necessary actions and express its strong dissatisfaction.” The graphic
accompanying Hu’s column showed an American fist slamming down in a demand for
action being held in check by a Chinese hand held up signaling stop.
There is every reason for Beijing to
want America’s economic downturn and political turmoil to continue as long as
possible while it recovers from the effects of the pandemic. The regime has
been pushing hard to reopen the economy and declare that its position as the
center of worldwide manufacturing has not been weakened by the
crisis. Indeed, an essay in the
state-run China
Daily proclaimed
on April 14, “Global Reliance on China Won’t Reduce.” It asserted, “Even
if more regionalized and diversified supply chains would reduce risks, China
retains considerable competitive advantages in many areas, such as electronics
and machinery and equipment manufacturing.” New “investments will help China
build on recent progress in even more high-tech sectors, including big data,
artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and the industrial internet.
Which in turn will deepen China's integration into the global technological
supply chain.” On March 24, it was declared that Dongfeng
Honda,
the largest industrial enterprise in Wuhan, which runs three factories
producing over 3,000 cars per day, was up and running. Beijing also
claimed that most industry outside the Wuhan area was already back in
operation.
The
Chinese military has been busy demonstrating that the pandemic has not weakened
either its strength or its determination to dominate the Pacific Rim. After the
U.S. aircraft carriers Theodore
Roosevelt and Ronald
Reagan had to return to port to handle COVID-19 cases among
their crews, China sent its carrier Liaoning with
its escorts through the “first island chain” into the Pacific for the first
time since last summer. The strike group passed though the Miyako Strait
between Taiwan and Okinawa. This sent the message that while the U.S. comes and
goes, this is China’s domain. The state-run People’s Daily gleefully ran the
headline “Epidemic hinders U.S. military presence
near China.”
To
further make the point that China is on the move, it was announced on April 16
that two more “municipal districts” will be created to govern islands China has
constructed in the South China Sea to establish its claim of sovereignty over
this vital maritime region. They will be governed from Sansha, which Beijing claims
is its southernmost city, but which is on Yongxing Island in the disputed
Paracel Islands, a
tiny place that has been enlarged with a major airstrip capable of operating
the latest military aircraft.
China is also taking advantage of the
worldwide drop in asset prices to buy up strategic stakes in high-tech,
agriculture, and natural resource enterprises. While this is not an entirely
new trend (China shifted from buying mainly bonds to buying control of
productive assets a decade ago), the current crisis opens the door to
aggressive acquisitions in accord with the ancient Chinese saying “loot the
house when it is on fire.” Governments in Europe and Australia
have taken steps to curb this financial assault and the U.S. needs to ramp up
its often-lethargic vigilance.
The
Democratic Party has its reasons for wanting to cripple the American economy
too, also motivated by a lust for power. The most obvious motive is to undo
President Trump’s achievement of taking the economy to record full employment
and solid growth. They think extending lockdowns until the economy tumbles into
a depression with tens of millions thrown out of work and businesses across the
land bankrupted will so upset voters that they will want a change. But what
kind of change? Who will they blame for a new misery index? A president urging
a return to normalcy and a V-shaped recovery that restores prosperity, or the
party that is keeping the population under “house arrest” for months until the
shelves of the few stores allowed to be open are bare because nothing is being
produced? Trump’s strategists should be able to tar the Democrats with the
“rule or ruin” label, turning theoretical debates over policy into clear
examples of liberal malevolence.
Many Democrats still think of FDR as a
model president. A man who combined liberalism and patriotism, who fought
against the Great Depression and won World War II. But party leaders have moved
on. A major ideological component today is the Green movement, which has
welcomed the epidemic as a way to teach Americans to do without and accept a
lower standard of living. A shuttered economy doesn’t emit gases or use
resources. While responsible national leadership wants America to weather the
storm, the Greens see the storm as nature’s warning to slow down and retreat
from affluence. One of the starkest statements by a Green
radical appeared
in The Times of
London, “looking
for the ultimate weapon against climate change, you could hardly design
anything better than coronavirus. Unlike most other such diseases, it kills
mostly the old who, let’s face it, are more likely to be climate sceptics.” A
chilling example of left-wing thinking.
China has seized upon such divisive
politics to claim the world is going its way. On April 18. Global Times ran a long column by a
Chinese professor on “a dying U.S. democracy.” He cited all the usual defects
from corruption to the mass media to “enforcement of coercive tactics for the
people’s compliance.” The author then predicted “With the mishandling of
COVID-19 and its dramatic consequences leading to a Wall Street meltdown, and
one that will be more serious than the 2008 Financial Crisis, and the temporary
closure of the US economy coupled with a sharp unemployment increase, at least
an estimated 75 percent of the population would be dissatisfied with their
democratic system during the pandemic and post-pandemic era.” The author’s
suggestion? “[M]ixing capitalism with socialism institutionally as Northern
Europe does and as Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren suggested, seems to be a
better alternative. China, on the other end of the political continuum, could
be a good example of mixing socialism with the market economy for the US to learn.”
For obvious reasons, Beijing does not
want President Trump re-elected, but the ideological support from the Communist
Party for the Democratic Party’s leftward lurch runs deeper than one election.
The good news is that the U.S. is still a democracy and American voters do not
have to accept Beijing’s advice when they vote on how best to ensure their own
country’s magnificent future.

Chinese Ambassador
Lauds Hillary Clinton’s Attack on President Trump: ‘Justice Always Speak
Loudly’
KYLE

An ambassador from China is lauding Hillary Clinton’s recent
attack on President Trump.
“The president is turning to racist rhetoric to distract from
his failures to take the coronavirus seriously early on, make tests widely
available, and adequately prepare the country for a period of crisis,” Clinton
wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
“Don’t fall for it. Don’t let your friends and family fall for
it.”
The
president is turning to racist rhetoric to distract from his failures to take
the coronavirus seriously early on, make tests widely available, and adequately
prepare the country for a period of crisis.
Don't fall for it. Don't let your friends and family fall for it.
Don't fall for it. Don't let your friends and family fall for it.
That prompted a response from a representative of the communist
regime, the Chinese ambassador to South Africa, Lin Songtian.
He shared a tweet from China News Service, a regime-owned
agency:
It is true.
Justice always speak loudly. https://twitter.com/Echinanews/status/1240941153479876609 …
The attached article listed several Americans, namely Clinton and Rep.
Ted Lieu (D-CA), criticizing Trump for blaming China.
“It is true,” Lin wrote regarding Clinton’s attack that Trump
calling coronavirus a “Chinese virus” is “racist rhetoric.”
“Justice always speak [sic] loudly.”
Clinton has repeatedly taken potshots at Trump during the
coronavirus crisis.
“Hospitals are already running out of ventilators and beds.
Nurses are using bandanas as masks,” she typed on Thursday.
Arming China -- The Bill Clinton
Connection
We even sold them our factories.
March 19, 2020
Michael
Ledeen
Conversations on social
media are beginning to stress the urgency of reconsidering our relationship
with the People’s Republic of China. It was only recently that most Americans
discovered that most of our pharmaceuticals are manufactured in China, and that
the Chinese are in a position to withhold them during an emergency of the sort
we now face.
Recent stories have
documented Chinese espionage, including the bribery of top American biochemists
at places like Harvard, that entailed the constant travel of U.S. experts
between China and the United States. Given the short memories of American
political leaders, these stories have made it appear as though espionage is of
very recent vintage.
But it is not so. The
United States has been arming China for more than 20 years.
In the Spring of 1997,
Stephen Bryen and I wrote a detailed account in Heterodoxy, a
magazine edited by David Horowitz and Peter Collier, dealing with American
export controls of militarily useful technology. It was entered into the Congressional
Record by Tillie Fowler, a Florida representative.
The theme of the
account was how the Clinton Administration was arming China. Knowingly and
deliberately.
It is often said that,
in the world of advanced technology, embargoes or export controls cannot
possibly work, because if they don't get it from us, they'll get it from
somebody else.
This is false. To
compete with the U.S. militarily, China has to get our technology, and, most of
the time, that means getting it directly from us.
Steve and I knew that
Bill Clinton and his foreign policy team were busily arming Beijing, which in
turn armed “rogue nations” such as Iran, Iraq, Syria and Libya. Remember this
all happened about 25 years ago. We noted that, on the one hand, it did make
sense to sell a very limited amount of advanced military technology to the Communist
Chinese, for example devices for nuclear safety, or for certain military
systems with important civilian applications, such as satellite launchers. But
the Clinton Administration was not doing that. Instead, it was
executing a deliberate policy—apparently one that had full approval from the
top levels of the Administration, despite the vigorous opposition from
government agencies and from individual officials infuriated at the flow of top
technology to China. This often took the form of selling off some of our finest
factories to China, at pennies on the dollar, and included our finest
supercomputers and the key element to modern jet engines, which had been
blocked for export to the Soviet bloc.
The Pentagon redefined
supercomputers as “civilian” products, and some 46 of them, including IBM,
Convex (later, Hewlett Packard) and Silicon Graphics, were sold, many of them
to the Chinese defense industry, or being put to use in nuclear weapons design.
This represents a truly
terrifying hemorrhage, for supercomputers are the central nervous system of
modern warfare. The sales of 46 supercomputers give the Chinese more of these
crucial devices than are in use in the Pentagon, the military services, and the
intelligence community…
They enable the Chinese
to more rapidly design state-of-the-art weapons, add stealth capability to
their missiles and aircraft, improve their anti-submarine warfare technology,
and dramatically enhance their ability to design and build smaller nuclear
weapons suitable for cruise missiles. Thanks to the folly of the Clinton
Administration, the Chinese can now conduct tests of nuclear weapons,
conventional explosives, and chemical and biological weapons on supercomputers.
That was the first
wave. In the years since, we have bent over backwards to enable the Chinese to
strengthen themselves, and it wasn’t until President Trump shut down air travel
to and from the PRC in early 2020—in response to the global virus pandemic, not
in the name of national security—that we began to get a grip on the massive
influx of Chinese spies. But it’s important to remember that it all began with
an American decision to arm China.
There are those who say
that we had to strengthen China to act as a bulwark against Russia, but I don’t
buy that. The big shift to Chinese manufacture came because they could make
things far more cheaply than others could. That’s the profit motive, not
national security.

Stunning!
Hillary Clinton thanked by Chinese diplomat for criticizing Trump as racist
over ‘Chinese flu’ label
Hillary Clinton has chosen sides, and she is so firmly
enlisted in the Chinese propaganda effort to evade responsibility for foisting
the COVID-19 virus on the world that an ambassador from that country has
publicly endorsed her on Twitter in the name of “justice.”
Perhaps in the twisted worldview of pathological Trump
hatred, it is a good thing to side with the progenitor of a plague upon the world,
the country that openly plans to displace the United States and establish
itself as the world’s hegemon.
Here is the tweet spotted by Rep. Paul Gosar:
As American Thinker readers know, identifying a virus
by its place of origin is well established, and has never before been regarded
as “racist.” When was "German measles" w=ever denounced as a
racist name? Many progressive politicians and media figures called
Coronavirus, as it was then known, the “Wuhan virus” early on. When
China’s strategy turned to denying its culpability and some propaganda organs
absurdly claimed that US soldiers had seeded the virus in China, the claims of
racism started appearing.
China has been behaving like an enemy, threatening to
cut off supplies of pharmaceuticals (and thereby kill Amercans). Siding
with an enemy in a time of crisis has never before been a winning strategy,
except when one’s homeland is defeated, at which point one becomes a Quisling.
Perhaps the former Secretary of State was misled into
thinking this was a wise move by the dominant media efforts in support of
China’s propaganda line.
There will be a reckoning.

THE DEMOCRAT PARTY’S BILLIONAIRES’ GLOBALIST
EMPIRE requires someone as ruthlessly dishonest as Hillary Clinton or Barack
Obama to be puppet dictators.

1. Globalism: Google VP Kent Walker insists that despite its repeated
rejection by electorates around the world, “globalization” is an “incredible

2. Hillary Clinton’s Democratic party: An executive nearly broke down crying because of the candidate’s

3. Immigration: Maintaining liberal immigration in the U.S is the policy
that Google’s executives discussed the most.
HILLARY CLINTON’S GLOBALIST VISION:
SURRENDER
OF OUR BORDERS WITH NARCOMEX AND SUCKING IN GLOBAL BRIBES FOR THE PHONY
CLINTON FOUNDATION
Even though it has gone virtually unreported by
Corporate media, Breitbart News has extensively documented the
Clintons’
longstanding support for “open borders.”
Interestingly, as the Los Angeles Times observed
in 2007, the Clinton’s praise for
globalization and open borders frequently comes when
they are
speaking before a wealthy foreign audiences and
donors.
The Rebirth of Our Nation and the End of Globalism
For the last few decades, we have watched the left's
advancement of globalism, multiculturalism, and a world with no borders, to the
detriment of our nation-state. Nationalism was viewed with disdain
by the media elite and their counterparts in academia as an outdated paradigm
to be relegated to the dustbin of history.
In their effort to advance their
mission, they created NAFTA, and under Bill Clinton, free trade with China was
initiated in 2000. China was officially welcomed into the World
Trade Organization in 2001 with promises to reform tariffs and policies, tariff
reductions, and open markets. China also received Most Favored
Nations Status. Its admittance significantly resulted in it
receiving the lowest tariffs, fewer trade barriers, and the highest import
quotas.
Many of America's once thriving manufacturing
companies moved their operations overseas, where cheap labor and fewer stifling
regulations promised hefty profits and less governmental
interference. As a result, millions lost their jobs in cities
throughout the United States. The Rust Belt, once the manufacturing
heartland of America in states such as Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois,
Indiana, and Pennsylvania, experienced urban decay and losses in population due
to deindustrialization. Our leading auto manufacturers, steel
suppliers, pharmaceuticals, and clothing manufacturers suddenly became a thing
of the past. Cities like Detroit lost their base, as did Cleveland,
a large supplier of steel. Currently, the Chinese produce 50% of the
world's steel. American aluminum manufacturers during the '50s and
'60s provided 80% of the world's supply, but by 2014, it had dwindled to 32%. We
used to be a sizable supplier of rare earth minerals, but today, 80% of rare
earth minerals critically needed in the production of cell phones, missile
systems, hybrid cell batteries, and solar panels is mined in
China. Additionally, 80% of our pharmaceuticals are now manufactured
in Communist China. As China employed unfair trade deals that
imposed huge tariffs upon our goods, it became clear that we were losing our
economic edge and taking a backseat to a rising tyrannical world
power.
Under the watch of Bill Clinton, George Bush, and
Barack Hussein Obama, the outsourcing to China continued
unabated. There were conservatives within the GOP, particularly the
Freedom Caucus, who objected, but they were quickly overruled by the
establishment Republican old-guard globalists such as the late John McCain,
Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, and Paul Ryan. Obama's philosophy was
to "lead from behind," and behind we fell. It doesn't take
a rocket scientist to know that if one is behind, one is not in the lead, but
Obama sold that unbelievable illogical slogan to millions of gullible empty
heads. For eight long years under Obama, our GDP never grew beyond
2%, and he shamelessly warned that without a magic wand, manufacturing jobs
were never going to come back. While
cities throughout Asia and the Middle East were building new skyscrapers, our
infrastructure was falling apart. Highways, bridges, and city
streets were old and in need of repair. Many urban areas such as
Detroit, Cleveland, Baltimore, and Los Angeles were rotting from within.
The entrance of President Trump, known for the art of
the deal, into the Presidential campaign four years ago was met with ridicule
and scorn by the elites in the media. For years, he had watched the
decline of the United States from a distance. His decision to enter
the race should not have been surprising. He hinted as far back as
1988 that he would consider a
presidential run if needed.
With America on the decline, new, bold leadership was
indeed needed. Ultimately, it would take an outsider with financial
independent means, not beholden to a corrupt oligarchy or the many various
lobbying groups in operation, to reverse course. He entered the race
with a mission to restore America's stature by making America great
again. At odds with the elite globalists who had dominated D.C. for
many years, he quickly became their target since the restoration of America's
greatness required an end to the reign of corruption that governed much of
D.C. His election to office marked the beginning of the end of their
sweetheart deals made on the side while lining their pockets in return for
either looking the other way or by literally selling out our country.
With the aid of the politicization of the FBI, the
CIA, and our Justice Department under Barack Hussein Obama, the Democrats along
with their Deep State counterparts invented a Russian collusion hoax; the
Mueller report, which found no grounds for indictment; and the Ukrainian quid
pro quo charge — and with less than a year left in his administration, they
moved to impeach. They failed miserably! The economy was
booming with low unemployment and a soaring stock market. The
re-election of President Trump was promising and looked imminent, but it came
to a screeching halt when the Chinese either intentionally or negligently
unleashed the Wuhan virus upon the world in December of last
year. Instead of focusing their energy upon a menacing totalitarian
communist state on the world stage, House Democrats obsessed with Trump
Derangement Syndrome, along with their sidekicks in the complicit mainstream
media, spent all of December and January razor-focused upon a bogus impeachment
trial.
The use of biological warfare is illegal and
criminal. When threatened with exposure, China retaliated with the
threat of withholding much needed pharmaceuticals now needed more than ever.
The promise of globalization and the end of borders as
advanced by leftists, who like to label themselves as Progressives, is now in
question. Political pundits who for years advanced policies that led
to our dependency for goods that we once manufactured now have the gall to
blame the president when it was their policies that led to the rise of China
and our dependency.
Totalitarian communist states can never be
trusted. Their word is no good, and their signatures upon treaties
are as worthless as their word.
Consequently, President Trump is now a wartime
president. He has amassed the best and the brightest among us in
today's battle. The future is an unknown, but if he succeeds at
winning the next round, and I believe he will, our economy will bounce back
stronger than ever. If the past three years under President Trump
are any indication, we will survive and thrive once again under his
leadership. The Chinese and his Democrat nemesis may rue the day
they construed his demise. Against all odds, his finest hour may by
upon us as President Trump rallies our country against an enemy unleashed by a
tyrannical regime. In so doing, history will regard him as the
president who saved American exceptionalism during a time of hardship and
war. It is he who will be credited with the rebirth of our nation,
while globalism will be relegated to the dustbin of history, where it belongs.

Joe Biden and the Democrat
Party’s Incestuous Relationship with China
Vice President Biden raises a toast in honor of
Chinese President Xi at a State Luncheon at the State Department, September 25,
2015,
Desperation has set in among the Politburo in China as
their deliberate mishandling and obfuscation of the Chinese Coronavirus
outbreak has threatened, and in all likelihood derailed, their grandiose plans
for global hegemony. In what can only be described as one of the
most ham-handed propaganda efforts in recent memory, China is now trying
to deflect blame onto the United States for the Coronavirus outbreak that has been
recently categorized as a global pandemic. Further, they are unabashedly
claiming that any criticism of their “valiant” efforts to stem the spread of
the virus or using the nomenclature of Wuhan Virus or Chinese Coronavirus
is racist and xenophobic.
While their attempt to implicate the United States may
appear on the surface to be absurd, the reality is that much of it will fall on
fertile ground previously tilled and seeded over the past 25 years with vast
amounts of money and investments.
An end-product of China’s infiltration of the American
media and education establishment is the almost immediate regurgitation of
China’s racist and xenophobic argument by the American mainstream media and the
predominantly left-wing professional class. Hollywood and the
entertainment cabal, already awash in Chinese capital and desperate for access
to the Chinese market, has refused to criticize China’s handling of the
Coronavirus focusing instead on President Trump. It is almost a certainty
that when the pandemic recedes there will be nothing produced that is even
remotely critical of China.
The European Union is now China’s largest trading
partner and investor. They are beginning to exert increasing influence in nations such as Italy and throughout the
continent. Which is why the European Union refused to initiate a travel
ban from China during the entirety of the Coronavirus outbreak, leading
to Europe now being the global epicenter of the pandemic as well as the source of the
bulk of the infections in the United States.
With this overall backdrop the Chinese leadership is
confident that their near clownish propaganda efforts will succeed. Their
only obstacle is the re-election of President Trump, who is the only world
leader in the past 25 years to understand what animates the Chinese and to
stand up to their intimidation tactics.
The establishment of the Democrat Party believes they
have a solution to that obstacle in what appears to be the inevitable
nomination of Joe Biden.
Joe Biden, in his days in the Senate, was very partial
to China, as he voted against all legislation aimed at curtailing China’s
ambitions. In 2007
he opposed the
idea of applying any tariffs on China despite their obvious unfair trade practices
and theft of proprietary technology that was causing the loss of millions of
American manufacturing jobs. America’s dependence on a communist regime
for materials and goods, such as pharmaceuticals, continued to grow unabated.
However, it was as Vice President that he became wholly enamored with the
country and its leadership.
For example, while in China, Biden, in August of
2011, approved of and defended China’s grotesque one-child policy, which
brutally used forced abortions to implement the law. (In that same year
Biden was given the assignment, by Barack Obama, to be the point man on China
due his close personal relationship with Xi Jinping, currently President and
General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party.
Joe Biden never missed an opportunity to downplay
China’s threat to the United States.
In May of 2013, in a commencement speech he assured those
concerned the Chinese are “going to eat our lunch” that they had nothing to be
concerned about as China had immense problems and an inability to think
differently. In May of 2014 Biden described China as a nation incapable of producing innovative products and ideas. Two weeks after declaring his 2020 candidacy,
Biden, in Iowa, said,
“China is going
to eat our lunch? Come on, man…they can’t even figure out how to deal with the corruption
that exists within the system. I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks,
folks. But guess what, they’re not competition for us.”
In December 2013, Biden flew to Beijing on Air Force
Two with his son Hunter on an official trip, ostensibly to discuss tensions
over disputed territories in the East China Sea. Joe and Hunter were
ushered into a red-carpet meeting with a delegation of various Chinese
officials. Hunter remained with the delegation while his father met with
President Xi Jinping. During these meetings Joe Biden struck an extremely
conciliatory and friendly tone with the Chinese leadership -- much to the
dismay of America’s allies in the region.
Ten day later, Hunter’s two-year-old company, Rosemont
Seneca, signed an exclusive $1 Billion (later expanded to $1.5 Billion) deal
with the state-owned Bank of China, creating an investment fund called Bohai
Harvest, with money guaranteed by the Chinese Government. As Peter
Schweizer, who was the first to unveil these conflicts of interest, wrote in
his book Secret Empires “the Chinese Government was literally
funding a business that it co-owned along with the son of one of America’s most
powerful decision makers” That is what it looks like to be “compromised by a foreign power.”
Anyone who has dealt with the Chinese Government or an
entity controlled by the government can attest that any foreign business
transaction with China always has a requisite or implied quid pro quo that
oftentimes does not involve monetary considerations. Once entangled in
this web it is nearly impossible to escape -- as many businesses and nations,
throughout Africa and Europe, much to their chagrin, have experienced. It
would be naïve to believe that Joe Biden is not embroiled in this labyrinth of
expectations and demands.
Nonetheless, Joe Biden is perhaps the ideal candidate
for a party whose propaganda arms, the mainstream media and Hollywood, openly
shill for the Chinese Communist leadership. Whose primary
financial backers, high tech and Wall Street billionaires such as Michael Bloomberg, have major financial and manufacturing ties to
China. Whose most dedicated
foot soldiers are true believers in authoritarian socialism. And whose
common enemy is Donald Trump and his America First populist movement.
Vice President Biden raises
a toast in honor of Chinese President Xi at a State Luncheon at the State
Department, September 25, 2015,
To further amplify that the Democrat Party is a
surrogate of the Chinese leadership and is abiding by the maxim that the enemy
of my enemy is my friend, criticism of China’s handling of the Coronavirus
epidemic by anyone in Democrat party leadership, or their donor and
left-leaning professional class, has been virtually nonexistent. On the
other hand, the unceasing and often fabricated disparagement of President Trump
is part of a calculated strategy to frame the Coronavirus epidemic in a way
that leads to his defeat in November. Even China’s not-so-veiled threat to
withhold shipping vital drugs to the United States in retaliation for any
criticism of their handling of the Coronavirus outbreak was met with a
deafening silence.
China is an existential threat to the United
States. Joe Biden and the Democrat Party would abet the Chinese in their
quest for global hegemony and in essence surrender American sovereignty. But first these collaborators must get rid of
Donald Trump. Thus, any unseemly tactics, outrageous fabrications and
personal smears will be directed at him and his voters over the next seven and
a half months to achieve that goal.
Hunter Biden’s Firms
Scored Reportedly Hundreds of Millions from Russians, Chinese, and Kazakhs

Hunter
Biden, son of 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden, has come under scrutiny
for his business links to Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma while his father
was vice president.
Now, a
new book by author Peter Schweizer reveals Hunter Biden forged other business
deals with individuals and entities tied with the governments of Russia, China,
and Kazakhstan, that reportedly scored him hundreds of millions of dollars.
The book,
titled Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power
by America’s Progressive Elite., lays out how Hunter Biden and his business partners, in
addition to his numerous Rosemont-branded entities and ventures, was deeply
involved with an entity called the Burnham Financial Group.
Hunter
and his business partner, Devon Archer, used Burnham to make foreign deals
with governments and oligarchs, according to a copy of the book viewed by
Breitbart News.
One of
those oligarchs included Nurlan Abduov, the associate of another Kazakh
oligarch, Kenges Rakishev. Rakishev is the son-in-law of the former vice prime
minister of Kazakhstan, Imangali Tasmagambetov. Tasmagamvetov was also formerly
the defense minister, and is now the Kazakh ambassador to Russia.
According
to the book, an account Hunter regularly received funds from showed money
arriving from a firm run by Rakishev in 2014:
A Morgan
Stanley investment account from which Hunter regularly received funds shows
money arriving from mysterious
sources around the world. There is a $142,300 deposit in April 2014 from Kazakh oligarch–controlled Novatus Holdings. Kenges
Rakishev, whose father-in-law is the former vice prime minister of Kazakhstan and a close ally of Kazakh dictator Nursultan
Nazarbayev, runs the offshore firm.
sources around the world. There is a $142,300 deposit in April 2014 from Kazakh oligarch–controlled Novatus Holdings. Kenges

Nazarbayev, runs the offshore firm.
While
Burnham received funds from Kazakh oligarchs, Archer acted as a backchannel
between Kazakhstan to then-Secretary of State John Kerry, according to the
book. (Kerry’s stepson Chris Heinz was a business partner with Biden and Archer
in some of their ventures).
In a July
11, 2013, email, Kerry’s chief of staff David Wade wrote to Archer:
Devon:
understand you spoke to the Secretary re having him call [Kazakh] Foreign
Minister Idrisov today, can you let me know topics Idrisov wants to talk
about/any requests he’ll have of the boss, so we can get paper prepared for a
call. Hopefully, the situation on the home front will leave him time to do it.
Burnham
also had business deals with two mysterious Chinese companies — Kirin
Global Enterprses Limited and Harvest Global Investors, according to the book.
Kirin
Global Enterprise Limited was an investment vehicle run by Xiangyao (or
Yaojun) “Larry” Liu and Guo Jianfeng, according to Schweizer. “Very little is
known about Kirin or its two principals, other than the fact that they invest
heavily in mainland Chinese real estate,” he writes. Harvest Global Investors
was a Chinese investment firm linked to the government in Beijing.
Burnham
also had a financial relationship with Russian Oligarch Yelena Baturina, a
billionaire with extensive political connections in Moscow and links to Russian
organized crime, according to Schweizer. Archer said Baturina invested $200
million into “various investment funds” with which he was involved.
Burnham
also got wrapped up in a $60 million fraudulent bond scheme to rip off union
pension funds and the poorest Indian tribe in America, the Oglala Sioux,
Schweizer writes.
In May
2016, Archer was arrested in New York and charged with “orchestrating a scheme
to defraud investors and a Native American tribal entity of tens of millions of
dollars.”
Some of
the targeted were government employee or labor union organizations that had
supported Joe Biden in the past. Biden has long described himself as a “union
man.”
Although
Hunter Biden was not charged, Schweizer writes, “his fingerprints were all over
Burnham.” The legitimacy that his name and political status as the vice
president’s son lent to Burnham was brought up repeatedly during the trial, he
writes.
That status
was used as a means of both recruiting pension money into the scheme and
alleviating investors’ concerns, he writes. In an August 2014 email, Jason
Galanis, who was convicted in the bond scheme, agreed that Burnham had “value
beyond capital” because of their political connections.
Hunter
Biden had an office at Burnham’s New York City offices on Fifty-Seventh Street,
and during the trial, numerous witnesses came forward describing Hunter’s
involvement with the firm, according to the book.
Schweizer
writes these deals have long been a pattern with the Biden family, to include
Hunter Biden:
With the
election of his father as vice president, Hunter Biden launched businesses
fused to his father’s power that led him to lucrative deals with a rogue’s
gallery of governments and oligarchs around the world. Sometimes he would hitch
a prominent ride with his father aboard Air Force Two to visit a country where
he was courting business. Other times, the deals would be done more discreetly.
Always they involved foreign entities that appeared to be seeking something
from his father. Often, the countries in question, including Ukraine, Russia,
and Kazakhstan, had highly corrupt political cultures.
In short,
Hunter Biden was not cutting business deals in Japan or Great Britain, where
disclosure rules and corporate governance might require greater scrutiny. These
were deals in the truly dark corners of the world.
RED CHINA
The Chinese Virus that has knocked 23 percent out of
the stock market and boosted unemployment
claims by
16 million in a month still hasn’t inspired Congress or President Trump to call
for an immigration moratorium. The jobless numbers have even awakened
Conservatism Inc.’s Charlie Kirk—he’s called for an end to work visas, a
position many Americans share. Yet however nationalist Congressional
Republicans sound in denouncing China for inflicting the deadly pathogen on the
world, not one has suggested closing the borders to protect American jobs and
health. It amounts to a catastrophic and ominous failure of leadership.
That
failure reached its peak in the virus relief
package,
which blocked Pentagon money for building
a border wall but provided $350
million in “refugee” aid. Only one Republican, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, objected.
How bad
is the virus for the economy and the unemployed? When an immigration booster
like Kirk is worried, you know it’s trouble. The Turning Point USA founder,
a favorite target for nationalist
mockery during the “Groyper Wars,” has suddenly offered
surprisingly cogent ideas. Tops among them: an immigration moratorium:.
“We need
a total moratorium on ALL visas until employment levels go back to pre-pandemic
levels—put our citizens first!” he tweeted on April 3.
We need a total moratorium on ALL visas
until employment levels go back to pre-pandemic levels—put our citizens first!
He
repeated the message last week.
Put US citizens FIRST! [Links added]
“There’s
a ruling class in this country that doesn't represent this generation and it’s
indefensible,” Kirk correctly said in a video attached to that tweet.

Even
more significantly, the USA Today/Ipsos survey just found 80 percent support for tough
immigration measures.
About 8 in 10 support drastic steps on immigration: imposing
mandatory quarantines for people who have traveled to any other country and
temporarily stopping immigration from all other countries. Seven in 10 want to
ground all international flights. Almost half, by 49%-34%, want to ground all
domestic flights.
[Exclusive: In four
devastating weeks, Americans' fears of the coronavirus have exploded, by Susan Page, USA Today, April 13].
That’s a
powerful America First message. So why hasn’t any ambitious Republican tossed
the idea into the Capitol’s hopper?
The
answer: Timid leaders.
Of
course, the idea would go nowhere in the Democrat-controlled House, but that
doesn’t mean Gaetz, Arizona Rep. Paul
Gosar, or another ambitious immigration patriot shouldn’t propose it.
My
candidate to carry the GOP’s lance and banderole is Rep. Steve King, who has
been remarkably quiet since losing his committee assignments last year over
a fake news smear. Although the Iowan
lacks the power and political capital to advance a bill, he could at least
propose it and hope a colleague tries moving it.
So why
no action in the Senate?
Because
the upper chamber contains not a single Jeff Sessions or Kris
Kobach whose
chief focus is immigration. A few senators raise the occasional battle cry
against open borders, but when the fighting starts, they slip away. Even Tom Cotton, David Perdue, and Josh Hawley, three GOP reliables who reintroduced the RAISE
Act that
would cut legal immigration in half, don’t
lead on the issue.
Granted,
Hawley, Cotton, and other GOP lawmakers want to bring manufacturing back to
the U.S. and
punish China. But that, it seems, is as far as they’re willing to go.
Widely seen as presidential timber, Hawley is eager to lead on bold legislation that attacks
our dependency on China and Big Tech’s power. His plan to combat the China
virus with far more government intervention in the economy and stiff penalties
on China has, of course, discomfited our ruling-class elites [Josh Hawley sets up potential clash in GOP with coronavirus push, by Burgess Everett, Politico, April 6, 2020].
So why
is he ignoring the virus-immigration angle?
My
guess: Having mastered inviting favorable coverage in D.C.’s media fishbowl,
Hawley thinks the connection will tarnish his brand. Many Main Stream Media
profiles of the senator tout him as the “future of the GOP” and a challenge to
the party’s free market orthodoxy [Josh Hawley’s Mission to
Remake the GOP, by Emma Green, The Atlantic, November 24, 2019]. That won’t last if he links the pandemic
to Open Borders in general or China in particular.
Cotton
is too focused on hawkish neoconservative foreign policy to become the Senate’s
premier immigration patriot. Establishmentarian Perdue is a weak sister on cheap
foreign labor.
Then
there’s Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who would prefer to ignore
immigration altogether. He’s Business First, not America First. Taxes, the
economy, and judicial appointments are his main concerns—the latter with some
justification given the power of the open-borders Kritarchy that has attempted
to usurp the president’s authority on immigration.
All this
is why McConnell doesn’t want Kris Kobach in the Senate. He wants loyal toadies,
not uncontrollable immigration patriots [GOP fears loss of Senate as
Democrats handed opportunity in Kansas, by David M. Drucker, Washington Examiner, January 07, 2020].
And one
more thing. McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, another ruling-class elitist, is a Chinese immigrant.
But
neither the Treason Lobby’s Control of the House nor GOP weakness in the Senate
means immigration patriots should give up. Several years ago, my predecessor
as Washington Watcher analyzed why
Republicans hadn’t taken up an immigration moratorium in response to the 2008-9
Great Recession. The primary reason: The conservative
grassroots didn’t demand it, so Republicans felt no pressure to adopt it. In
contrast, remember what killed the Bush-McCain-Kennedy amnesty in 2007? An uprising of Middle America.
But
times have changed. The hoi polloi now have an ally with a megaphone just as loud as
that of the MSM-Treason Lobby combine. Fox News talker Tucker Carlson regularly blasts open
borders,
as does his colleague, Laura Ingraham. Even Rush Limbaugh, the longtime and
most successful propagandist for Conservatism, Inc., talks about the dangers
of mass immigration.
And now
immigration patriots have Charlie Kirk on their side.
But
aside from a moratorium, a bold GOP lawmaker—again, a Gaetz, Gosar, or
King—might propose plenty of ideas:
- End legal Chinese immigration
- End the admission of Chinese students to
American universities
- Stop China’s purchase of blue
chip American companies ; and
- Full funding for a border wall.
Note
that, unlike Republicans, Democrats don’t hesitate to pushing their immigration
agenda at every opportunity, as the WuFlu relief bill showed. Now, they’re trying to halt
deportations, release illegals from detention facilities, and even send them
free money [Democrats Introduce Bill
Giving Coronavirus Relief To Illegal Aliens, by Jason
Hopkins, The Daily Caller, April 3, 2020].
It’s
time that Republicans answer in kind. And if even Charlie Kirk gets it, maybe
the Congressional GOP will too.
