HAS THE WHITE HOUSE PUT IN PLACE THE BIDEN REGENCY? - The mental decline of Joe Biden accelerates. How long can he function as even a puppet president? The bigger question is: what happens when drugs can no longer keep Joe semi-coherent?

Sleepy Joe Biden has spent a half-century supping at the public trough, during which time his views on critical issues proved overwhelmingly wrong.

So as thousands of migrants breach our border, this administration scrambles to get off the hook by insisting it inherited the mess from Donald Trump.  This ironic claim overlooks Biden’s edicts  to shut down construction of the wall, end the migration arrangement with Mexico, and tacitly encourage those who claim to be seeking asylum.  In so doing, a clueless Biden has mistaken incompetence for compassion.

GOP Rep. Jackson Warns Biden’s Cognitive Abilities Will Cause U.S. to ‘Pay a Price’

1:55

During an appearance on FNC’s “Hannity” on Tuesday, Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) said President Joe Biden wasn’t inspiring confidence domestically or abroad as president.

The freshman lawmaker told host Sean Hannity he thought America’s adversaries were taking advantage of the president’s perceived weaknesses.

“Fifty-seven percent, Doctor, think that somebody else is in charge in the White House, including 58% of independents and a third of Democrats think that he’s not making the decisions,” Hannity said. “How does a — how does a country function if the president’s incapable of performing his duties? That’s what the poll says. My personal poll — everybody I talk to talks about it.”

“Well, Sean, we can’t — we can’t function,” Jackson replied. “I mean, we’re spending money like it’s going out of style right now. We at least need to know that our commander-in-chief, our head of state, and our president knows what’s going on in that regard. And then, on a world stage, we’re failing miserably. He’s not inspiring confidence in the American people. He’s not inspiring confidence in our allies, and he’s sending the absolute wrong message to our adversaries.”

“Our adversaries are taking advantage of us,” he continued. We draw a line in the sand. They crossed the line. He draws another line. They crossed the line. That did not happen in the Trump administration. When President Trump drew a line in the sand, our enemies, our adversaries knew — they knew — they knew exactly what would happen if they crossed that line, and we don’t have that anymore. And we’re going to — we’re going to pay a price for it.

Replacing Joe, the vegetable

The mental decline of Joe Biden accelerates.  How long can he function as even a puppet president?  The bigger question is: what happens when drugs can no longer keep Joe semi-coherent?

Let's pick a time, say, late November 2021, and fantasize.

At the end of November, the Democrat high command verges on a nervous breakdown.  The President has not been seen in person or photographed for six weeks.  Rumors abound that he no longer recognizes even his wife and that he wears Depends.

His wife assures everyone that Joe is okay and merely under the weather.  He will return to duty after taking an extended break during the holiday season. Meanwhile Jill's hated rival, VP Kamala Harris, licks her chops.

The 2021 gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia have already shaken the high command.  In ultra-blue New Jersey the GOP candidate came within two thousand votes of winning.  In purple-blue Virginia Terry McAuliffe (D-Clinton) was blown out.  In addition, the GOP captured both houses of the Virginia legislature.

The Democrats’ high command knows disaster awaits in the 2022 elections.  Inflation, crime, and evictions show no sign of abating and the economy is beginning to tank.  Add to that the complete absence of presidential leadership, the party faces a drubbing next November that would extend to the dog catcher level.

Joe needs to go and fast.  Problem is that Jill has so far rebuffed any such suggestion.  The 25th Amendment provides an alternative way to jettison a president, but this requires a two-thirds majority in both houses to be permanent.  The Republicans would have to buy in.

But the GOP even more than Jill Biden cannot stomach Kamala Harris ascending to the Presidency.

The high command asks the VP to step down.  In return they will guarantee her any Cabinet position or the governorship of California.  Heels up Harris digs in her heels and cackles no in their faces.  (The 25th Amendment does not provide for removing a Vice President.)

The high command meets in an emergency session.  After futility debating options, they see no way out of their dilemma.  Then the Senate Majority Leader speaks.

Chuck Schumer scored a perfect 1600 on his SATs when the SAT meant something.   He is crafty and ruthless, and a man not taken to flights of fancy.  But now he sends their heads spinning.

He proposes that first they impeach and convict Kamala of... whatever.  Then Jill on behalf of Joe would nominate someone acceptable to both parties to fill the VP spot.  Chuck recommends Michael, Michael Pence.

Consternation ensues.  Most everyone declares that the Majority Leader has lost his druthers.   Only the Speaker of the House sits silently.

Despite her increasingly leftist leanings Nancy Pelosi remains at heart a pragmatist.  She nods approvingly.

Chuck elucidates.  Once Pence is confirmed as VP, Jill obtains Joe's resignation.  Pence becomes President.  The price to the Republicans, and incentive to Jill, is her becoming Vice President.

In the wake of this wheeling and dealing the Democrats would still control the Senate.  Like Kamala, Jill could break any Senate tie.  Even with Pence as President, the Democrats would get the last say so on who serves in the Cabinet and who enters the Federal judiciary.

Even better, the Republican party would be thrown into chaos.  The Trumpsters consider Pence a traitor while the GOP establishment will champion him.

Such an arrangement would let the Democrats avoid a wipeout in 2022.  All of Joe's problems become Mike's.  Pence also gets blamed for the coming recession and the Republicans will exhaust themselves in bloody primary battles.

During 2024 the GOP will certainly rip itself apart over a Pence vs Trump (or DeSantis) battle for the nomination.  In contrast Jill should be acceptable to both wings of the Democrat party.  In the general election she would likely cruise to victory over the fatally ruptured GOP.

After sleeping it over, the high command agrees.

In December the deal is made with the Republicans.  Only a week is needed to remove Kamala, have Joe resign, and Mike and Jill take their oaths of office.

In January 2022 President Pence delivers the State of the Union address.  Behind him sit Nancy and Jill.  Both women smile like Cheshire cats.

At the Naval Observatory Joe Biden avidly watches the proceedings on TV.  He tells his nurses how much he enjoys reruns of Matlock.

The Democrat Blame Game

Democrats are taking to a whole new level Rahm Emanuel’s seminal advice to “never let a crisis go to waste.”  Ideally, they simply refuse to admit that a crisis exists -- as with Joe Biden’s dementia.  Otherwise, they acknowledge the crisis, but refuse to be identified with it -- as in the case of our out-of-control southern border.  If desperate, they will pretend to “address” the crisis through policies that sound noble but won’t work, such as holding guns responsible for violence.

Sleepy Joe Biden has spent a half-century supping at the public trough, during which time his views on critical issues proved overwhelmingly wrong.

Since Sleepy Joe moved into the White House, it has taken him and his handlers about five months to turn our optimistic, forward-moving country into one beset with crises here and abroad.

In the political jungle, Biden may fancy himself the king of beasts, but in terms of successes he is more like a Detroit Lion than a lion king.  His “roar” has been reduced to mumbling copy from a teleprompter and, in a number of bizarre instances, leaning into a mic to spout eerie gibberish in unintelligible whispers.

Meanwhile, any crisis that crops up is either ignored, identified with some entity other than his administration, or “handled” with measures that are bound to fail.  Other than grasping at straws, Democrats use their digits to point the finger of blame.

Perhaps convinced of the universal karma around the number three, liberals have identified a trio of factors on which to blame everything that isn’t going their way.  The ultimate purpose for doing this is to seize and retain political power, regardless of the truth.

Their trilogy of bullseyes are global warming (aka climate change), systemic  racism, and Donald J. Trump.  Every problem can be explained away by one of the above.  Even if the accusations seem a bit over the top, Democrats remain unfazed.  Their vital task is to “sell” these ersatz explanations and thus avoid possible criticism from their uninformed base.

In the case of our out-of-control southern border, the likely reason for Kamala Harris’ months-long delay in going anywhere near it was to avoid the impression that the Biden administration was in any way responsible for what is going on there.  This fortifies the party line that the situation had come about long before she and Joe took office.

When she finally hauled herself down to El Paso, Kamala’s sole aim was to “make sure” -- why do Democrats use this phrase so much? -- to claim credit for an “improving” situation, and to place the blame on the “root causes” of migrations.  (Contrast this to Kamala’s disinterest in the “root causes” of, say, gun violence.) But there is no evidence that her visits with Northern Triangle leaders have changed anything.

Presumably, Americans can see  this for themselves via news coverage of the dangerous escalation on the border, which, without government intervention, will only worsen.  But the collusion and coverup by most media outlets is what enables Democrats to get away with brazenly playing the blame game.  America’s “free press” has come to mean a press that is free to distort the truth and ally itself unabashedly with the Democrat Party.

And now Democrats have made the outrageous accusation that congressional Republicans -- and by extension, Trump -- are the real culprits behind defunding the police.  Their nonsensible “argument” is that the GOP did not approve sufficient funding for police departments in America’s crime-ridden cities, hence  the alarming  number of resignations  or retirements.  Overlooked is the fact that most  of the financing comes directly from the states and cities, not from Congress.  And if Republicans are to blame, why aren’t they out there marching in protest, brandishing “Defund the Police” or “Reimagine Law Enforcement” placards?

Across the board, Democrats hold this administration blameless for failures and foibles on their watch. The recent deterioration of relationships in the Middle East has likewise been blamed on Trump, whose achievements in that perilous region were barely recognized at the time, and are now discounted as an unachievable policy,  overexaggerated as “progress” by the previous administration.  They even blame Trump for refusing to further fill the coffers of Iranians who openly wish to destroy America.

Democrats have also aggressively blamed Trump for the COVID pandemic in America, citing his slow response in taking it “seriously.” (On the other hand, they will not even investigate the origin of the outbreak, because it is not in their  interests to cross China.)

Having in the past intimated that Trump’s part in encouraging the vaccines made them suspect, Biden is now irked with Americans who refuse to be vaccinated.  Clearly, the Democrats’ ongoing hatred of Trump is exacerbated by the chance that he will again seek the presidency in 2024.

Along with Trump, the new revelation of “systemic racism” takes the heat for many of America’s festering problems, particularly in the inner cities. This blanket  explanation gets Democrats off the hook for their decades of neglect.

The charge of racial inequality also provides Democrats the leeway to create their own “standard of justice,” whose unstated goal is not to “level the playing field,”  but to switch the players’ positions on the scales of justice so that the aggrieved think they have somehow been elevated above the rest.

Joe even excused the anti-American antics of Olympic trial competitor, Gwen Berry. Not surprising, since during his own junket overseas he made a point of badmouthing Americans who voted for Trump.

There was a time when mean-spirited internecine squabbles ceased at the water’s edge.  But now there is a deep schism in our society, in which all unpigmented  Americans are automatically presumed to be “racists,”  and every issue has an ugly racial component.

For any problems that cannot be blamed on Trump  or racism, there is always  the convenient “existential threat” of global warming. Right now, the faithful must be having a field-day with the record high temps in the Pacific Northwest!

Global warming is also considered by the Dems to be a factor in immigration. But the most recent absurd salvo in the blame gambit is that climate change is responsible for the collapse of the condo tower in Surfside, FL.

Despite the fact that structural problems existed in that property since it was built some forty years ago, the unscientific catchword of “global warming” best serves the Democrat scenario, which is all that matters.

Rest unassured that whatever calamity happens during a Biden/Harris siege, culpability will be ascribed elsewhere.  Based on their own self-serving rules of play, Democrats will continue to grow their political power by using the Blame Game to their advantage.

Is Pete Buttigieg trying to sabotage Kamala?

As Kamala Harris sinks into the sludge of her own incompetence, Breitbart News has noticed an interesting coincidence rolling around in the press.

The establishment media additionally wrote Friday, "2024 is the elephant in the room. … While Biden aides overwhelmingly believe he'll be the Democratic nominee, they also know he'd be 81 when seeking re-election."

But "many Democrats, including some current senior administration officials, are concerned she [Harris] could not defeat whomever the Republican Party puts up — even if it were Donald Trump."

Enter stage right Transportation Secretary Buttigieg, who, as previous mayor of South Bend, was unable to fix the city's potholes; a pizza company in 2019 had to repair them for Mayor Pete.

But while the establishment media largely ignored that story, they published a profile piece June 8 about Buttigieg that plotted his path to the presidency that would involve him replacing incumbent President Joe Biden.

That's in addition to the glowing press coverage Jill "Mrs. Wilson" Biden has received from establishment organs such as Vogue, calling her a "goddess."  Jill serves as Biden's caretaker and guardian in the latter's dotage.  There's been considerable speculation that she's the one behind the media hits on Kamala up until now.

But the Buttigieg angle is a good one, too.

To start, Breitbart found an item dating from March from a senior Yahoo! News correspondent discussing Buttigieg being busy "boosting his own brand" as a Biden successor and mapping a path to the presidency from it.

An early outline of the [proposed Biden infrastructure] plan, published on Monday by the New York Times, has the Biden administration spending $3 trillion on everything from rural Internet to green housing. Few other details are available, in particular how Biden will find the requisite congressional support, and funding, for the plan. But the fight over infrastructure is coming, and Buttigieg will be in the middle of the scrum.

First and foremost, he'll be the administration's salesman, making the case to Republican governors and mayors that supporting the infrastructure plan will be in their best interests. He has also pledged to turn the Transportation Department into an unlikely crucible of progressive policy, vowing when he first came to Washington that the agency would "rise to the climate challenge." He has also promised to apply an "equity lens" to infrastructure projects.

"Black and brown neighborhoods have been disproportionately divided by highway projects or left isolated by the lack of adequate transit and transportation resources," Buttigieg tweeted in December. "In the Biden-Harris administration, we will make righting these wrongs an imperative."

National infrastructure, racial equity and climate change are an ambitious portfolio for the young secretary. They also sound like the sturdy pillars of a Democratic presidential campaign, something Buttigieg won't talk about but that is not lost on his former staffers.

It speaks of his many mainstream media appearances, but curiously, his refusal to speak to Yahoo!, whose reporter may just have his number.  Yet it's also possible that he spoke to him off the record.

Quite importantly, he's compared favorably to blundering Kamala in that Yahoo! piece:

In media appearances, Buttigieg comes off as studied but not scripted. He is the ultimate prepared student, confident as he heads into the exam room. And that makes the Biden administration confident that it can send him forth from Washington without much anxiety. Given the moment's tense political environment, such anxiety is not unwarranted. When Vice President Kamala Harris made an innocent slip of the tongue last month in an interview with a West Virginia station, referring to "abandoned land mines" instead of "abandoned mine lands," a politically unhelpful feud with Sen. Joe Manchin followed.

With Joe Biden increasingly senile, it's pretty obvious there's a lot of jockeying for his office among the sentient, with backbiting and back-stabbing and all the other Machiavellian- or Jacobean-style power struggles of secretive environments among elites.  As Joe goes downhill, there will be a lot more.

The Buttigieg sabotage, though, is more interesting than it looks.

First, note that the man Buttigieg calls his husband and Kamala's husband have reportedly become the best of buddies.  They've "bonded."  They text emojis to each other.  According to Insider, which has a timeline of it:

Doug Emhoff and Chasten Buttigieg bonded on the campaign trail as spouses [sic] of presidential candidates. They texted each other during primary debates, consoled each other when Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg withdrew from the race, and continue to support each other's roles in President Biden's administration.

CNN reporter DJ Judd called them "2020's most unexpected friendship."

They palled around together three weeks ago at the G-7.  It's just so...touching.

What's more, Frank Bruni at the New York Times in 2019 wrote that the pair were made for each other, a "dream" ticket, as he put it, given then-candidate Joe's senility.

The big question going into Thursday night's debate was whether Joe Biden would stumble.

That turned out to be the wrong one. The right question was whether he had ample vigor in his stride.

And the answer came in watching Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg — two of the event's standout performers — run articulate and impassioned circles around him.

So if all this is true, it might just now have degenerated into stabs in the back if what Breitbart reports is correct.

Team Buttigieg, which is highly ambitious, is now seeking to sideline Kamala.

Look how gross it's gotten now in terms of leaks, according to Breitbart:

"It's a whisper campaign designed to sabotage her," Biden's senior adviser Cedric Richmond said, admitting Friday to the Hill the infighting is real.

Axios reported Friday Harris's aides are panicked that she is "fucking up" and perhaps "shouldn't be the heir apparent" for 2024's presidential race because she "could not defeat whomever the Republican Party puts up."

On Wednesday, a White House staffer told Politico Harris's aides "are thrown under the bus from the very top, there are short fuses and it's an abusive environment."

"It's not a healthy environment and people often feel mistreated. It's not a place where people feel supported but a place where people feel treated like s—," one aide said.

Other White House aides told Axios Harris's office is a "s---show" with "poorly-managed ... people who don't have long-term relationships with her," an overall "operation sometimes visibly out of sync with Biden's."

That must be some friendship gone sour if Emhoff and Buttigieg's companion are publicly friends, but Buttigieg is secretly leaking bad things about Kamala to the press in what's called by another Yahoo! reporter "a gusher of leaks."

There is the possibility that the pair are working together to discredit Kamala and boost Buttigieg, but as of now, that's improbable.  More likely, Buttigieg's companion, named Chasten, is on the team seeking to knock out Kamala, using what he's learned from his friendship with Emhoff as captured weapons.

And heck, maybe Jill is working in tandem.  Get a load of this picture from a June 2021 story that ran in Insider about the trio:

"She leapt out of her chair and gave me a hug and said hello and welcomed me into the arena, and it was very nice," he said. "And [Kamala Harris' husband] Doug [Emhoff] was seated next to her and he stood up and shook my hand and said it was nice to meet me, and I just remember thinking, 'Wow, that is not how I thought this was going to go at all.'"

If so, it demonstrates what a lovely bunch these Democrats are in their power games now that everyone knows that Joe is senile.

And with Kamala being a congenital phony as well as the entitled heir apparent, she's a bigger target than most.

Harris is not without resources herself, though, and has been suspected of leaking disgusting things to the press about her rivals.  In June 2020, I wrote this about her stealthy campaign for the vice presidency:

She's been showing up at every press opportunity to smile and look occupied with legislation — popular uncontroversial measures, such as making Juneteenth a holiday.  She's also been out there denouncing cops and blaming Trump.  In addition, she's had what looks like some heavy-duty plastic surgery in a bid to look better on camera.  Nothing to see here, move along, la di da...

But behind the phony smiles and demurs, she's campaigning like crazy to undercut her potential black-woman rivals, planting negative stories about them in the press about them to keep Biden from picking them.  Call it a campaign to one.

The Washington Free Beacon has the full long-knives-out story:

Curiously enough, negative stories about Harris's potential rivals for the VP slot have been popping up of late in mainstream media outlets. Imagine that.

She's been known to go clothes-shopping with the gushing press, so there's no shortage of Beltway reporters who will serve as conduits for her.  As of now, she just seems to lack imagination about how to do it.  Or perhaps they've not given her anything good she can leak as they all play kissy-kiss in public.

One thing is for sure — as Joe continues to go downhill, the power struggles will intensify.  While the Trump era was pure Shakespeare, the Jacobean era was its second-rate replacement.  Someone ought to update a good Jacobean drama with these Biden-era characters replacing the scripted ones and put on that show.

In the meantime, one thing is for sure: we can expect to see these clowns take one another down in various ways through the medium of the press.  It would be nice to see if they can start including scandals with law enforcement involvement about one another's corrupt misdoings, but don't hold your breath.  The more senile Joe gets, the more the press attacks on various players will continue, as well as the glowing, gushy profiles.

It's all part of the Washington power game, and Buttigieg is probably better than most at playing it.  Is he the one trying to take Kamala down?

Joe Biden's pants-on-fire lie of a white nationalist insurrection

The Democrats have a talent for avoiding responsibility for their contemptible actions by blaming them on the other side.  A recent manifestation of this talent is President Biden's attempt to deflect attention away from abhorrent behavior by scores of Democrat politicians.  Throughout 2020, they shirked their duty to uphold the law in the face of civil disturbances.  Biden wants you to pretend that never happened in order to rail against what he calls a "white nationalist insurrection."  Pants on fire!  Biden should be ashamed to embrace this nonsense.

In his first joint address to the U.S. Congress on April 28, Biden identified white supremacy as the number-one domestic terror threat.  He insisted that white supremacists pose a bigger threat than foreign actors.  "We won't ignore what our intelligence agencies have determined to be the most lethal terrorist threat to our homeland today," Biden said.  "White supremacy is terrorism."

For seven months, Democrat mayors and governors refused to take action against leftist violence that destroyed our cities.  In many cases, they supported the rioters.  "You have to look pretty hard to find Democrats condemning fires, riots, violence, looting, stealing, burning police cars," said author and political commentator Dennis Prager.  If you condemn only what Republicans do and applaud what was done daily by leftists, says Prager, then you don't care about truth.  "Violent protests had been championed and normalized by Democrats and their media over the last four years," Daniel Greenfield wrote in the Jewish Press.  Greenfield is referring to the attempt by the media to characterize the ongoing violence as "peaceful protests," an obvious fabrication.

On January 6, 2021, a nonviolent assault on the U.S. Capitol, spurred on by leftist agitators who were bussed in, was staged by Democrats with the collaboration of mainstream and social media, along with — if you believe Tucker Carlson's well-substantiated accusation — the FBI.  "The purpose of the entire circus was to provide a propaganda opportunity for the Left," wrote Daniel Greenfield.  By blaming the assault on white nationalists, Biden and the Democrats hope to achieve three objectives: (1) create a diversion from the 2020 riots, (2) divert attention from massive circumstantial evidence that the 2020 election was rigged, and (3) crush conservatives and Trump-supporters.

The storming of the Capitol has become the rallying point for efforts to destroy the Republican Party — Democrats' equivalent of the Fourth of July.  With the collusion of the media, we have been force-fed allegations that the assault was an attempted right-wing coup, that Trump-supporters conducted the assault, and that President Trump was personally responsible for inciting it.  These allegations are entirely duplicitous.

Using the Capitol assault as an excuse, Democrats have unleashed a new buzzword called "domestic extremism."  The intention of this fiction is to convince the public that extremism is coming from the right and that we should fear an "insurrection" by white supremacists, which in this case refers to Republicans.  "The ruling elite are pushing the notion of rampant right-wing domestic terrorists and the danger of conspiracy theories," says cultural critic Michael McCaffrey, "in an attempt to conceal their crimes and stifle dissent."

Attorney General Merrick Garland, says Tucker Carlson, "wants you to believe and wants history to record, that January 6th was an attempted insurrection by white supremacist revolutionaries bent on taking over this country.  Because of January 6th, says the chief law enforcement officer in the United States of America, and many other members of Joe Biden's Cabinet, we must now use law enforcement and military force to arrest, imprison, and otherwise crush anyone who leads opposition to Joe Biden's government.  That's their position.  They say it out loud."

"The Democrat Party seeks to demonize, criminalize and extinguish dissent from the 75 million supporters of Donald Trump," agreed conservative author David Horowitz.  In the wake of January 6, House speaker Nancy Pelosi, speaking on MSNBC, referred to President Trump and his Republican supporters as "domestic enemies" and "enemies of the state."  Even many Republicans who have been Trump-supporters bought into the lie.  "Within an hour," said Dennis Prager, "every leading Republican I know of condemned in no compromised terms what happened at the U.S. Capitol."

Actually, the vast bulk of domestic extremism in this country has been coming from the left, not from the right. Six months of leftist-inspired riots, looting, burning, and murder in cities throughout the country ought to be sufficient proof of that.  But if the Democrats can exploit the Capitol attack to convince the public that evil intentions are coming from the right, it can be used to justify the canceling of conservatives and whites.

After the Capitol assault, the country took the idea of election fraud less seriously, and the destruction of our cities was practically forgotten.  "The Russia collusion was a lie," Prager said, "yet we pursued it for three years — but we can't pursue for a few weeks the notion that there may have been tampering of ballots, especially when half the country believes it.  People have to believe their votes matter."

The Democrats, including the president, argue that merely questioning the 2020 election result amounts to "insurrection" and "domestic terrorism" and should be suppressed.  This is a direct assault on the First Amendment.  "You can't have a democracy," David Horowitz warned, "if this is the attitude of a party that controls all three branches of government, is enabled by a corrupt and compliant media, and is determined not just to defeat, but to humiliate, destroy and expunge from the record an ex-president who is supported by a greater segment of the American electorate than any American leader before him."

"So what is this, exactly?" Tucker Carlson asks.  "Well, it's a big change in the way the U.S. government treats its own citizens.  We're looking at the transformation of a democratic republic into something else. We're looking at growing authoritarianism.  That's not an overstatement."
