Deported Murderer Arrested After Crossing Border into Arizona

Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents arrested Juan Ramon Barron-Casillas shortly after he illegally entered the United States from Mexico last week. After further investigation, agents discovered Barron’s criminal past included a conviction in Texas for second-degree murder and a conviction for tampering with human remains.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations officers deported Barron to Mexico after he completed a two-year prison sentence for his crimes.

Breitbart Texas reviewed court records that revealed Barron lost an appeal of his conviction with the Texas Eleventh Court of Appeals in February 2021. A Texas court convicted Barron on January 24, 2016, after police were summoned to Barron’s home. Investigators found two bodies hidden under a mobile home in Snyder, Texas, that Baron and his wife, Nicole Barron, occupied.

According to court records, Barron killed Joshua Hoover and Benjamin Bruns after they arrived at his home armed with a handgun and mace. Barron believed the duo was attempting to rob him of drugs and money inside his home.

According to Barron and his wife Nicole, they were watching movies, drinking, and using drugs — marihuana and cocaine — on the morning of the murders. At approximately 4:00 a.m., they heard someone knock on the back door. Barron answered the door, according to his statement, armed with a knife as he was not expecting visitors. Upon answering the door, Barron told police he saw two men dressed in black wearing ski masks.

Barron rushed out of the mobile home and a struggle ensued with one of the assailants armed with a gun. The other assailant, according to Barron, attacked his wife. At the time, Barron’s wife was armed with two knives. As Barron stabbed one assailant repeatedly, the assailant discharged and dropped a firearm.

Barron, according to the court records, retrieved the firearm and shot the second assailant multiple times “until he knew he was dead.” After they killed the two assailants, Barron and his wife cleaned the crime scene by digging up the dirt where Bruns and Hoover’s blood accumulated. They concealed the weapons used during the melee and hid the bodies of Bruns and Hoover under their mobile home.

Barron and his wife also hid marijuana that he claimed belonged to his wife. He claimed she was a dealer. The pair eventually turned themselves into the police. Following a search of the residence, police discovered the bodies and other evidence. Prosecutors charged Barron with murder and tampering with human remains.

During Barron’s 2018 trial, jury instructions included consideration of self-defense, defense of a third person, and defense of property. Barron was ultimately acquitted with the charge of murdering Benjamin Bruns but was found guilty of murdering Joshua Hoover. The jury found that in the case of the murder of Hoover, Barron acted under the influence of “sudden passion” and assessed the minimum sentence of two years imprisonment in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

The trial and subsequent sentencing hearing received significant local media coverage at the time.

Following his release from prison, ICE officers deported Barron to Mexico. According to the Border Patrol, Barron will be prosecuted for felony re-entry of a removed alien for his illegal entry near Yuma.

This is the second migrant apprehended in Arizona in one week with a conviction for tampering with a corpse or dismemberment of a human. As reported by Breitbart Texas, Border Patrol agents arrested a previously deported migrant who was involved in a prominent Chicago murder involving the dismemberment of a human body.

ROME — Pope Francis said Saturday that in dealing with immigration problems government leaders must combine “healthy realism” with “respect for people’s dignity.”

In addressing the organizers of the annual intercultural Festival of Giavera del Montello, the pope praised them for including associations and groups of migrants to participate in their celebration, saying the festival has become “a crossroads, a place for meeting, for dialogue, for mutual understanding.”

The pontiff went on to contrast a “culture of hospitality” and a “culture of waste,” urging the festival organizers to continue “spreading a welcoming culture.”

“The reality of migration in our time has taken on characteristics that can sometimes be frightening,” Francis said. “Objectively, the phenomenon is very complex, and unfortunately there are criminal groups that take advantage of it; migrants risk being exploited even within geopolitical conflicts. Then they cease to be persons and become numbers.”

“Therefore, there is more than ever a need for places in which the faces, stories, songs, prayers and art of migrants are put at the center,” he added.

Citing the Prime Minister of Albania, the pope said you must open the door to anyone who knocks “because it is God.”

“This thought touched me: the one who knocks on your door is God,” he said. “Open to him and leave your place for him.”

At the same time, Francis said, this attitude must not give way to a simplistic ideology.

“This way of seeing the reality of migration does not mean hiding or ignoring the difficulties and problems,” he said, encouraging his listeners to share their experiences with migrants to promote good politics and “to help government leaders at the local, national and international level to make choices that always combine a healthy realism with respect for people’s dignity.”

“I saw one of the paintings you brought, about the torture that migrants suffer when those traffickers take them,” Francis said. “And this happens today. We can’t close our eyes!”

Activist Killed During Cartel Attack on Mexican Municipal Building

An activist, a gunman, and a security guard died during an attack by cartel gunmen on a municipal building in the Mexican border state of Sonora. Two other innocent victims sustained gunshot injuries. Authorities have since revealed the attack was a failed cartel hit targeting the local police chief.

The attack took place this week outside of the municipal building in Guaymas, Sonora. During the attack, the state attorney general’s office issued multiple alerts on social media warning the public to avoid downtown Guaymas.

Prior to the attack, a group of activists gathered outside of city hall to protest violence against women. The city Mayor Karla Cordova stepped outside to meet with them and voice her support. As the meeting ended, a group of gunmen arrived and began shooting into the crowd. The mayor’s security detail attempted to fight off the attack.

The gunmen killed 18-year-old Marisol Cuadras and injured a second activist and a photographer. They also killed one of the mayor’s bodyguards. The security detail managed to kill one of the gunmen.

Since the attack, Sonora Governor Alfonso Durazo met with the parents of Cuadras and promised to get justice for the victims. According to information released by Mexico’s Navy, the attack was an attempt to kill Navy Captain Andrés Humberto Cano Ahuir, who was on loan to Guaymas as their police chief.

The state of Sonora has witnessed a dramatic rise in violence as various cartel cells linked to the Sinaloa and Beltran Leyva Cartels continue to fight for control of trafficking routes from Mexico’s Pacific coast to the Arizona border.

Joe Biden’s BBB Will Fund Cartels’ Child-Smuggling

President Joe Biden’s $1.7 trillion Build Back Better (BBB) bill would allow cartels to get taxpayer funds for smuggling more foreign children and youths into U.S. schools, neighborhoods, and jobs, say GOP sources.

The plan, which is soon to be debated in the Senate, offers up to $3,600 per year to the guardians of  all children — including imported children who have no Social Security number.

“There’s also a provision in there for a tax credit for illegal aliens who have children that are in the U.S.,” former border patrol chief Mark Morgan told Fox42kptm.com. He continued:

Think about that: You can illegally enter our borders as a family, and then you’re going to be rewarded by being paid to have your kid here illegally.

“This is going to act as an incentive for more illegal immigration negatively impacting our border security and impacting every aspect of our nation’s public health safety and national security,” he said.

The Democrats’ offer of money to the foreign parents of foreign children will likely fit within the Senate’s specials rules for debate over the so-called  “reconciliation bill,” a Hill source told Breitbart News.

“I think the Social Security Number provision is not going to be voted out [by the Parliamentarian], so it is going to be a really salient point for another month,” he added.

The new giveaway will worsen the problems created by the 2008 update to Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000, he said, That act was unanimously passed by Congress, and it gave special protections to children.

But it is now used by the cartels to profitably deliver children to their illegal-alien parents in the United States and to deliver young laborers to labor traffickers around the United States.

Since 2008, the law has been used to move more than 350,000 “Unaccompanied Alien Children” into the United States, most of whom are young men looking for work. On November 21, Breitbart posted  a Bloomberg report on the labor trafficking:

The Health and Human Services [HHS], Homeland Security [DHS], and Labor departments investigated the Enterprise situation but couldn’t track down most of the minors who were placed with sponsors there, according to the people familiar with the investigation. It’s not uncommon for federal officials to lose contact with unaccompanied children after their release from government custody.

The dead-end in the Enterprise case highlights apparent gaps in the federal system designed to care for children who cross the border without a parent.

The cartels will quickly see the economic opportunity created by the BBB, the source said. “Whatever opportunity you create for the cartels, they will fill,” he outlined,

They are going to look at that [payment] structure and say, “We can exploit that. There are people now who, despite wanting to come in legally can’t afford the thousands of dollars we might charge them. Now, even if they can’t afford it, the we’re happy to take them north because they once we get them in, then the government will help pay us and the coyotes for bringing them here. It’ll take the form of monthly checks.”

You’re gonna have the equivalent of having a government backed, illegal-alien enforcement mafia where the same people who bring the [migrants] here will now be coming around to pick up their monthly checks … The same people who are connecting the cartels to the [drug] gangs are going to use those same gangs as enforcers to collect cash and send it back to the cartels. They’re gonna put it in the same money laundering scheme that they’ve already got.

So you’re going to incentivize some of the more violent gangs that exist and the cartel members directly in some cases, to come by the new homes of these illegal aliens in the U.S. and harass them and take the taxpayers’ checks.

The illegal migrants will pay those checks to the cartels because the cartels have so much clout in their home countries, he said.

They will never be able to to walk away from in the same way that a little Bodega couldn’t walk away from the mob in New York City … They won’t be able to get out from the cartels. They’re gonna continue paying those taxpayer-funded checks in perpetuity … [because they need the cartels to] bring their friends and family up north.
