Beto O’Rourke Raises $7.2 Million in Texas Governor Bid
Failed Democrat presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke (D), who announced his bid for Texas governor in November, has raised $7.2 million since launching his campaign, he announced this week.
According to O’Rourke’s team, “the 46-day fundraising haul is a record for a Democratic candidate in Texas,” the Hill reported, noting his haul stems from 115,600 contributions.
“I’m grateful to everyone who helped us raise more than $7.2 million in the first weeks of our campaign,” the Democrat said in a statement.
“While Abbott is taking million-dollar checks from the CEOs who profited off of the grid collapse, we’re receiving support from people all over Texas who want to ensure that our state finally leads in great jobs, world class schools and the ability to see a doctor,” he added.
However, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has a massive war chest of over $65 million on hand and he garnered $19 million from July to December.
O’Rourke, who launched an unsuccessful bid against Sen. Ted Cruz (TX) in 2018, announced his gubernatorial bid in November, doubling down on his previous desire to seize AR-15s from the American people.
“We should not allow our fellow Americans to own and use weapons that were originally designed for battlefield use that AR-15, that AK-47 has one single solitary purpose and that is killing people as effectively, as efficiently and great a number in as little time as possible,” he told CNN’s Dana Bash.
Abbott, however, welcomed O’Rourke’s announcement, highlighting the Democrat’s desire to take guns away from the American people.
“Beto wants to: – defund the police – kill good paying oil & gas jobs – allow chaotic open border policies – support the failing Biden agenda – impose socialism – take your guns. Bring it,” he wrote:
A Quinnipiac University Poll released last month found Abbott leading O’Rourke by double digits, 52 percent to 37 percent.
In an October 24 video, Biden bragged that he had created, “the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.” The Democrat front-man got help from California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a crony of Nancy Pelosi. In March, Newsom deployed emergency powers to order ballots sent to every registered voter, which includes at least one million illegals registered to vote through the DMV “motor voter” plan.

EXCLUSIVE: West Texas Border Sector Now Epicenter of Migrant Crisis
DEL RIO, Texas — A source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) explains the Del Rio Sector is holding the lead in migrant apprehensions throughout the southwest. In January thus far, there are nearly 16,000 apprehensions, averaging almost 1,000 daily.
Established CBP statistics show lead changes are not common. The Rio Grande Valley Sector held the top position in migrant apprehensions since 2013. Large migrant groups crossing through the Del Rio Sector, particularly in Eagle Pass, are now the norm.
Five such large groups were apprehended within the sector over the last four days. In one instance, according to the Border Patrol, one group near Eagle Pass numbered more than 265.
The lead change may have more to do with a a reduction of migrant crossings in the Rio Grande Valley Sector, rather than an increase in in Del Rio. In November 2021, the RGV apprehended an average of 1,590 migrants per day. That daily average dropped to 700 in January.
The source believes recent international law enforcement efforts may have contributed to a reduction in the Rio Grande Valley. In a recent report by Breitbart Texas, 359 migrants were arrested in Mexico.
In another instance, 120 kidnapped migrants were rescued by law enforcement officials from a cartel safe-house in Ciudad Victoria. The source says although the efforts of foreign entities may be benefiting south Texas, the effects are not felt further west along the border.
The migrant crossings in Del Rio have resulted in facility overcrowding and a reduction in routine patrols. The source says the Del Rio Sector is overwhelmed by the level of crossings and is averaging more than 800 apprehensions per day since the start of January.
Since the fiscal year started in October 2021, the source says some 271,000 migrants have been apprehended along the southwest border — eclipsing the 30,000 apprehended during the same time frame last year.
The relative reductions seen in the Rio Grande Valley are dependent on Mexico’s enforcement actions. The U.S. source says Mexico’s resources are stretched as thin and any curtailed efforts will immediately be felt in south Texas.

EXCLUSIVE — Rep. Reschenthaler: Biden’s ‘Continued Weakness’ Destabilizes National Security
President Joe Biden’s “weakness” in signaling he would not respond to any “minor” Russian incursion into Ukraine is destabilizing to the world as well as American national security, and emboldens others to do similar acts, according to Pennsylvanian Republican Rep. Guy Reschenthaler.
In an exclusive statement to Breitbart News on Thursday following President Joe Biden’s apparent surrender to a Russian invasion of Ukraine, Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) called out the president’s “continued weakness” and warned of the consequences of such policies.
The congressman began by slamming the president’s credibility to lead the United States.
“Most Americans do not believe [President] Joe Biden is fit to run our country, and during his first year in office, he proved them right time and time again,” he stated.
Reschenthaler, who served in the Navy Judge Advocate General Corps and volunteered for duty in Iraq, then accused the president of far-reaching destabilization.
“Biden’s latest security blunder, signaling he wouldn’t act on a ‘minor incursion’ in Ukraine, further destabilizes Eastern Europe, Asia, and American national security,” he continued.
He then warned that the president’s “continued weakness” would have further dire consequences.
“Biden erased all leverage in negotiations with the Russians by signaling what he would wrongly accept,” he concluded. “Biden’s continued weakness on the international stage gave [Russian President Vladimir] Putin a greenlight on Ukraine and now [Chinese President] Xi Jinping looks on, emboldened, eyeing Taiwan.”
On Wednesday, at a special press conference to mark the first year of his presidency, President Biden appeared to give up the idea of stopping Russian President Vladimir Putin from invading Ukraine, telling reporters that the U.S. may not aid Ukraine, a longtime ally, in the event of a Russian invasion as long as it is a “minor incursion.”
He did not define the term “minor incursion.”
Biden also predicted that Putin would invade the country and that he could colonize it, but not without significant losses, and insisted Moscow would “be held accountable” but provided no details as to how.
Russia invaded Crimea in 2014 and remains there; Russian troops have already performed incursions into eastern Ukraine.
In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected Biden’s remarks that appeared dismissive of a potential Russian invasion of his country, affirming in a statement to social media, “There are no minor incursions.”
Reschenthaler’s comments come as a majority of respondents to a Politico/Morning Consult poll this week said they believe President Biden was incapable of leading the country.

Former CBP Chief: Biden Invites More than 3,000,000 Border Crossers to U.S.
Former Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan says more than three million foreign nationals “have tried to violate America’s sovereignty and illegally enter” the United States under President Joe Biden.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has not officially released illegal immigration totals for December 2021. This week, though, the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency revealed in a court brief that nearly 180,000 border crossers were apprehended that month.
Morgan said the number of border crossers and illegal aliens apprehended at the southern border last year, coupled with those who successfully illegally entered the U.S. and those who are immediately turned away by Border Patrol, is upwards of three million.
“In 12 months, CBP recorded more than two million encounters along the southwest border, a shocking and historic number,” Morgan, a Heritage Foundation visiting fellow, said in a statement:
But that number does not include an estimated 600,000 or more ‘got-aways,’ individuals who cross the border illegally but which Border Patrol is unable to detain. And then there are the ‘turn-backs,’ those who make an effort to cross the border but eventually give up and return to their country of origin. Under Biden, that number was around 400,000. Under Joe Biden, more than three million people have tried to violate America’s sovereignty and illegally enter our country. This is not only the worst border crisis in American history — it’s the worst 12 months for any president when it comes to border security. [Emphasis added]
In December 2020, just before taking office, Biden suggested that he did not want millions of border crossers and illegal aliens showing up at the border despite his plans for gutting immigration enforcement.
“The last thing we need is to say we’re going to stop immediately, the access to asylum, the way it’s being run now, and then end up with two million people on our border,” Biden said.
As Breitbart News reported in November 2021, analysis had projected that Biden’s flouting of federal immigration law would entice nearly two million border crossers and illegal aliens to the border in 12 months.
The last time illegal immigration to the U.S. was this high was in 1986 when 1.6 million border crossers and illegal aliens were apprehended at the border.
Meanwhile, more than half a million border crossers and illegal aliens have been released into the U.S. interior after showing up at the nation’s borders. The latest figures reveal that from January 2021 to October 2021, the Biden administration helped fly nearly 45,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior — allowing them to bypass standard photo identification rules that American citizens are required to follow.

33 Migrants Arrested by Texas Troopers on Ranch near Border
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers assigned to border security duty arrested 33 migrants on state charges of criminal trespass. The troopers, assigned to Operation Lone Star, arrested the migrants on private ranches near the Texas-Mexico border.
Members of the Texas Department of Public Safety’s elite brush team arrested 33 migrants on private ranches, DPS officials tweeted over the weekend.
The Texas police officers are not making arrests under immigration law. Rather, criminal trespass charges arise when migrants march through private property in an attempt to avoid detection. The migrants frequently damage or steal property as they attempt to hide from Border Patrol agents — violations of Texas state laws.
DPS officials report the filing of more than 2,600 criminal trespass charges under Operation Lone Star which Governor Abbott put in place due to the changes in border security and immigration policies put in place by President Joe Biden almost one year ago.
Early last week, DPS troopers working near Laredo, Texas, conducted a traffic stop on a commercial tractor truck. When the driver of the truck stopped, he immediately fled into the brush along the interstate highway.
The trooper searched the truck and found 28 migrants hiding inside the sleeper cab of the truck. The troopers worked with Border Patrol agents and apprehended the driver, 24-year-old Dartavious Raytrell Dixon, a Houston resident.
Agents report the 21 adult males, 6 adult females, and one juvenile male came to the U.S. from Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and Honduras, officials reported.

DESPITE MEXICO'S CRIMINAL INVASION AND LOOTING OF AMERICA, NAFTA JOE BIDEN HANDED THE NARCO STATE $4 BILLION FOR.... no one knows!
BIDEN SAYS THERE ARE NO INVADING ILLEGALS. THESE ARE ALL UNREGISTERED DEMOCRAT VOTERS!
President Joe Biden’s border chief said he would support the illegal migrants who are suing the government for family payouts of $900,000 after they were separated from their children as they were prosecuted for illegal entry, according to a statement posted by the migrants’ lawyers.
"Mexican president candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador called for mass immigration to the United States, declaring it a "human right". We will defend all the (Mexican) invaders in the American," Obrador said, adding that immigrants "must leave their towns and find a life, job, welfare, and free medical in the United States."

Mexico’s Duplicitous ‘Ant Operation’ Moved Tens of Thousands to the U.S. Border Sight Unseen — and Will Again Through 2022
Mexico is now camouflaging mass migration it is supposed to be blocking
Mexican national guard sentries stand guard at the Rio Suchiate border with Guatemala, well-trammeled by U.S.-bound immigrants, January 2022. Photo by Todd Bensman.
TAPACHULA, Mexico — Between August and December 2021, Mexico mired between 30,000 and 50,000 U.S.-bound immigrants behind a bureaucratic dam in this southernmost city near the Guatemala border, requiring permission slips for onward movement that purposefully took months to get. This slow-roll-them strategy, backed by two-week Mexican detentions and deportations for those caught without papers, was done in line with Biden White House pressure on Mexico City to reduce the political damage of a historic illegal mass migration tsunami ahead of this year’s mid-term elections.
But just after Christmas 2021, following almost nonstop civil disturbances by the dammed-up and frustrated immigrants, the Mexican government suddenly solved everyone’s problem with a crafty ruse to send hundreds of thousands of migrants to the American border in the coming year without raising any alarms. According to Mexican immigration officials, journalists, and immigrant beneficiaries, the Mexican government mass-distributed an electronic “QR code visa” to thousands almost overnight, then arranged for their exodus by hundreds of buses in atomized groupings sent across 14 different Mexican states farther north. Most Americans and even Mexicans failed to notice that a huge but purposefully diffused surge of people to the American border had even happened, let alone why.
In Mexico, big clandestine movements like this in recent years have earned the colloquial term “ant operation”, which connotes an informal tactic by which immigrant smugglers move large volumes of people in small distributed parties and individuals in many single-file lines so that most evade the notice of authorities.
But now, the government of Mexico itself appears to have adopted the ant operation model to clear out the 50,000 immigrants it so openly and proudly backed up behind the Tapachula dam as a favor to the Biden administration. It sent the majority streaming toward the American border almost all at once, only diffused in fleets of buses the government arranged — ant lines all but unseen.
“The whole city [of Tapachula] was collapsing because there were so many here in town and they were blocking the roads and causing disruptions ... so that’s why they were moved out,” said Clemente Miguel, director of the local newspaper Noticias de Chiapas. “There’s no infrastructure to hold them all in one area, and no other Mexican state wants them, so they’re intentionally spreading them all out.”
To get this ant operation done quickly, the Mexican government employed a cunning innovation called the “QR code visa.”
The QR code visa is part of an honor-system scheme that asks recipients to voluntarily report to a Mexican immigration office in a particular city by a specified date, ostensibly to apply for and await a more permanent Mexican residency card, copies of the visas show. With this tactic, the government ensured that no huge caravan or Del Rio migrant camp could form that would draw media attention and cause political damage to either the Mexican or American government, or open diplomatic rifts. (A first early Mexican government ant operation in September went awry for lack of sufficient diffusion and caused the Del Rio migrant camp.)
But the American people are already paying the price for insuring governments against political damage.
The Price of Subterfuge
Why would Mexico bother with all the pretense of blocking immigrants in Tapachula until they hit critical mass and the nation is forced to let them all rush forward after a few months?
“It’s double-sided politics,” Miguel, the newspaper publisher, explained. “The immigrants are being told they’re welcome and they’ll be helped. And then [President Andres Manuel Lopez] Obrador is turning around and telling Biden, ‘Don’t worry, we’ll hold them in Mexico.’ That’s the agreement they have. It’s Obrador’s mindset that he wants to be in good standing with migrants and with Biden at the same time.”
But signs abound that a powerful wave of the December QR code visa recipients was already smashing U.S. southern border defenses by mid-January, and tens of thousands are still swamping Border Patrol from Brownsville, Texas, to Yuma, Ariz. Those areas are about a two- or three-day bus ride from Tapachula.
The popular Mexican podcaster and journalist Carmen Aristegui wrote on December 31 that the Mexican government accelerated the transfers of “tens of thousands” of migrants seeking to reach the United States “to various other Mexican regions” and quoted some of them admitting they’d use their new freedom to break for the American border right away. One Cuban woman, for instance, “confessed” that she would use her QR code visa to continue to the United States.
The most credible clue about how this all will go is that QR code visas are showing up crumpled and discarded at Texas and Mexican crossing points along the Rio Grande riverbanks, the newest addition to borderland debris fields.
What can knowing about this do for Americans?
The Boom and Bust Cycle in Tapachula Foretells 2022
The significance of more public understanding about Mexico’s ant operation is that its efforts to put up a big enforcement and blockade show on its own southern border is more than merely phony and ineffective. This presages huge waves of immigrants to the American border every three months, about the time it takes for tens of thousands of newly arriving migrants to show up. Look for QR code visas all over the Rio Grande riverbanks going forward.
During a post-ant-operation field trip to Tapachula, the Center for Immigration Studies found a less crowded, much-relieved city. But the federal tools of immigration enforcement had returned to the very same pretenses of blocking forward immigrant movement at Tapachula.
The government had halted QR code visa issuances by New Years and returned to requiring the old kind of visas that never seemed to arrive. Mexican immigration agents backed by national guard troops were forcing immigrants to wait beyond their budgets and ability to earn money for sustenance, fueling the same sorts of complaints heard in the weeks before December’s ant operation.
CIS observed teams of unarmed officers, with soldiers for muscle, patrol the city’s center, sweating migrants from Senegal, Angola, and Haiti who, if they couldn’t show the papers, might well end up in a detention center for a couple of weeks, a pretty effective prompt to get the paperwork done.
A group of some 15 Senegalese immigrants in the city’s center had missed the happier QR code days by two weeks and were already voicing the familiar refrains that led to the ant operations of September and December.
“It’s difficult because on the road here we spent all of our money,” one Senegalese managed to say in a mixture of French and Spanish. “I can’t stay here in Mexico because I’m out of money. I used it all up. Please help us to enter into America, all of us Senegalese, my friend.”
CIS saw the officers and national guard soldiers putting on the same show at the well-trammeled Suchiate River water crossings where huge numbers often enter from Guatemala aboard rafts made of inflated truck inner tubes.
Several of the immigration officers said their orders were to direct the new arrivals to government offices where they had to register for the chance to apply for Mexican asylum. Those caught without papers might face expulsion to Guatemala or even beyond.
“Our role more than anything is to make sure that the migration is not illegal but made legal,” one said. “In a way, we just guide them to get their paperwork.”
While government immigration officials declined interviews, the cycle was clearly ginning up a new immigrant population boom that by March or April, if past patterns hold, will send forth to the American border another diffused wave of thousands carrying their QR Code visas, many of which will end up as trash on the banks of the Rio Grande.
Luis Garcia Villagran, coordinator at the Center for Human Dignity, a local migrant advocate who organizes caravans out of Tapachula, recently told the local Diario del Sur newspaper that at least 20,000 more are on the way through the Darien gap jungle passage. The passage delivers immigrants from Colombia in South America to Central America’s Panama.
“You only see a few working or selling, exchanging money, or just hanging out, but I consider that in two or three months, for sure,” Villagran said. “we will see the migration continue to the southern border.”
And probably three months after that, and so on during 2022.
THE ONLY THING MEXICO DOES FOR THEIR PEOPLE IS EXPORT THEM TO LOOT AMERICA AND VOTE DEMOCRAT FOR MORE!

Congressional Democrats are apparently fine with catch-and-release policies because they see the likely electoral benefits. CPB also reports that 98 percent of the 31,754 unaccompanied minors from the Northern Triangle of Central America remain in the country. CAL THOMAS

EXCLUSIVE — Trump Will Call on Republicans to Increase ICE Officers to ‘Find, Detain, and Deport’ Every Illegal Alien Biden Let into USA
Former President Donald Trump will call on Republicans to increase the number of ICE officers to “find, detain, and deport” every illegal alien President Joe Biden has let into the United States at his first rally of the year on Saturday.
Trump’s call for more immigration officers will be made in his speech in Arizona, according to expected prepared remarks that the former president’s team provided exclusively to Breitbart News ahead of their delivery.
One of the highest priorities when Republicans take back Congress and eventually the White House will be to have a massive increase in the number of ICE officers, so that we can find, detain, and deport every one of the illegal aliens that Joe Biden has released into our country.
Trump will also call for a law to penalize “sanctuary city” officials who knowingly release criminal immigrants into their community’s streets.
We should also pass a law that says that Sanctuary City officials who knowingly release criminal aliens will be charged as accessories in any future crimes—thereby ending Sanctuary Cities once and for all.
Scheduled to speak at the rally ahead of Trump is Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who exclusively revealed portions of her speech to Breitbart News. “I’m going to be talking a lot about, basically, the border, my border policy. I’m going to be talking about what my agenda will be as governor,” Lake said.
The focus on immigration policy comes as Biden has suffered multiple defeats in the court system trying to push his agenda forward. Additionally, Analysts projected that nearly two million illegal aliens have attempted to cross the southern border since Biden’s first year in office.
Exclusive — Kari Lake Plans to Circumvent Feds on Border Policy Through an Interstate Compact
Kari Lake, a candidate for Governor in Arizona, told Breitbart News Saturday that she plans to enter into an interstate compact with other states to circumvent federal immigration and border policies.
Before politics, Lake covered the state of Arizona as an anchorwoman for 27 years. Now, Lake is taking on the political battle in Arizona because the state needs a governor “who will stand for the people and not the special interest.”
LISTEN:
Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle highlighted Lake’s 11-page immigration policy and asked her to expound upon her plans to secure America’s southern border.
Lake called out the “invasion” at our southern border and criticized President Joe Biden for handing over our borders to “narco-terrorists.”
“We have an invasion going on here in Arizona. We’ve got fentanyl pouring in, coming from China through Mexico into Arizona and into the rest of this country,” Lake said. “We have human smuggling, we have child smuggling, and Joe Biden has handed our borders off to the narco terrorists, and we’re not going to sit here and take it anymore.”
So we will take back our constitutional right to secure the border ourselves. Article One, section 10 lays it all out. And we’re not going to ask permission from Joe Biden to do so. We’re going to finish President Trump’s wall, and we’re going to use the materials that the federal government abandoned at our border to do so. And we are going to empower our Arizona National Guard to start making arrests of these people coming over right now.
One of the key tenets of Lake’s plan is an interstate compact of like-minded states who are ready to do something about our border problems. Lake mentioned that it would not be only border states involved because “every state is dealing with the problems from this invasion on our border.” Lake discussed the possibility of South Dakota, Iowa, and Illinois joining her interstate compact should she be elected as governor of Arizona.
And we’ll keep Homeland Security abreast of what we’re doing, but we’re not going to ask their permission to do so. They’ve dropped the ball,” Lake said. “They failed the American people, and they failed at one of their most important duties, which is to protect us from an invasion. And so, we have the right as states to do this. We are sovereign.”
Boyle then asked Lake how she plans to seize federal materials intended for the border wall’s construction and use them to continue the development of the wall. Lake is hopeful the Arizona legislature will redefine “abandoned federal property” in a way that makes it feasible for the state to seize the materials.
And so, we will work with our state legislature to redefine what it means to be abandoned federal property. We will confiscate that once the legislature does so. And then we will use those materials that we, the people, paid for, to construct and finish President Trump’s wall
Boyle and Lake then discussed former President Trump’s first rally of 2022 that’s taking place Saturday evening in Florence, Arizona. Lake, who has Trump’s endorsement in the race, will share the stage with Trump. Lake previewed the topics she will speak on at the rally.
“I’m going to be talking a lot about, basically, the border, my border policy. I’m going to be talking about what my agenda will be as governor. We’re ahead 30 points in the polls. We have a movement in this state unlike anybody has ever seen,” Lake said. “The pundits and the political elite are all shocked by how hard and strong our movement has come on. That people are ready to elect a governor who will stand for the people and not the special interest.”
Lake discussed how the weak field of Republican candidates pushed her to run for governor to ensure the state did not end up with a socialist candidate. She noted the enthusiasm behind her campaign, as it only took her three weeks to qualify for the ballot signatures. Most campaigns, she said, take nine months and have to buy signatures.
The two then discussed the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent ruling against Biden’s OSHA vaccine mandate. Boyle asked Lake her thoughts on the Supreme Court and how the decision factors into her campaign for Arizona governor.
Lake took a strong stance against all health mandates. “We will not have our kids being forced to wear filthy masks. We will not have our boss force us to put a swab up our nose for the rest of our lives or shot in our arm in order to earn a living,” Lake said.
She also promised to open up the exemptions for more than just religious reasons. “We’re gonna find a way through legislation to make so many ways to get out of that mandate besides a religious exemptions. We’ll have exemptions for everything,” she said.
An exemption if you’ve had COVID before. An exemption if you might get pregnant. An exemption if you are pregnant, an exemption if you think you might get pregnant. We’re just going to throw a lot of exemptions in so that any mandates the federal government or any employer tries to throw on people to prohibit them from earning a living, they will have a way out of it.
Lake concluded the interview by saying she wants to return to some of those “old-fashioned” principles like working hard, respecting your parents, following the ten commandments, and loving this country.
“They seem old fashioned now because we’re just in such a bad place. But that’s why I came to Arizona for an opportunity. I want my kids to have the same opportunities,” Lake said. “But I think we have to get back to our conservative ideals to right this ship. Because right now this ship is heading in the wrong direction.”

Huge Crowd Attends Trump Rally in Arizona: ‘Nobody’s Ever Had a Movement Like This’
1:35 A massive crowd gathered for former President Donald Trump’s rally in Florence, Arizona, on Saturday evening.
“Look at the people, as far as the eye can see… Look at the people way back, and I mean like football fields back,” Trump said while gesturing toward the audience.
“And you know what? I would ask the press to turn your cameras around and show the kind of crowd that we have, because nobody’s ever had a movement like this,” he continued:
Nobody’s ever had spirit like this or a crowd like this. But see they don’t turn the cameras, they don’t want to turn the cameras. They don’t want to turn the cameras and frankly, they move the cameras into a bad location for us. They should have been put way back. They have magnifying lenses. They have lenses that could’ve handled it. But take a look behind you, press, because when they show the kind of numbers that are represented tonight, some of the government people said its the single biggest crowd they’ve seen yet. And they’re not just talking about Arizona.
“You can look a hundred yards behind the cameras and it’s a sea of people. In fact, the press is blocking people out, and that’s a shame,” he added.
News anchor Ed Henry shared photos of the rally and said there was a traffic jam with more people trying to get in to the event:
Additional images showed citizens lined up outside:

9:34 President Joe Biden’s border chief said he would support the illegal migrants who are suing the government for family payouts of $900,000 after they were separated from their children as they were prosecuted for illegal entry, according to a statement posted by the migrants’ lawyers.
The supportive meeting was exposed by one of the high-status law firms working with the illegals — but only after Biden’s political team and lawyers revealed January 5 they would oppose the unpopular giveaway in court. The statement says:
In August 2021, [Guatemalan migrant] Ms. C.M. attended a meeting between separated parents and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. “Secretary Mayorkas told us that it was his job to support us after what we suffered. I feel betrayed and deeply sad now that they’re fighting us in court. We want justice and to make sure this never happens again.”
The migrants — including the Guatemalan migrant, C.M. — are portrayed by the far-left migration advocates and media as helpless victims of President Donald Trump’s claimed cruelty.
But C.M.’s legal claim strongly suggests she was an economic migrant who was using border loopholes — such as the Flores catch-and-release loophole — to join the illegal-migrant father of her child who had already gotten to Oakland, California. The claim says, “Plaintiff Erendira C. M. [now] resides in Oakland, California. … While she was detained [by Trump’s DHS] in Atlanta, Erendira wanted to call Yasmin’s father, Erendira’s long-term partner (and now husband), who lives in Oakland.”
The meeting with Mayorkas took place in August. That was before a government official leaked the ACLU’s demand for payouts of $450,000 per person to the migrants, and before Biden’s poll-watching East Coast deputies pushed out several of Mayorkas’s appointed allies because of Biden’s terrible ratings on immigration policy.
The lawsuit does not explain why the woman and her child were given the huge prize of being allowed to live in the United States. But the lawyers still want the dollar payout, saying:
“I still live with the pain of my daughter being taken from me,” said Erendira C.M., an indigenous Guatemalan mother whose daughter who was six at the time of separation, and one of the plaintiffs in the case. “No family should ever suffer the way we suffered.”
Many deported migrants leave their children with illegal migrant relatives in the United States. That choice of voluntary separation gives their children a good chance to become American citizens and still allows for conversations vis cell phone. But the pro-migration lawyers are seeking to stigmatize and punish enforcement of border law and are eager to portray the migrants as deserving victims.
Mayorkas is a Cuban-born, pro-migration zealot who has repeatedly touted the migrants’ demand for compensation and relocation into the U.S. society. In March, as hundreds of thousands of migrants were heading towards U.S. borders, he told MSNBC:
Our highest priority is to reunite these [partly deported] families. As we so powerfully saw, these are young people in their formative years. These are sometimes children as young as 3 years old. We are addressing the needs and vulnerabilities, not only of the children, but of course, their mothers, their fathers, the people that make up these families. … Three years of age at the time of separation! — it’s extraordinarily cruel and inhumane.
In 2013, Mayorkas declared that Americans’ homeland is “a nation that always has been and forever will remain a Nation of Immigrants.” In April 2021, he said migrant-owned companies “are the backbone of our communities — and of our country.” In May 2021, he staged the televised reunification of migrant families to distract media coverage from his border chaos. In June, Mayorkas promised that he would put the dignity of foreign migrants “foremost in our efforts.”
Mayorkas is not an academic. He has a budget of more than $50 billion and is using his bureaucratic and regulatory powers to pull many economic migrants through several small side doors in immigration law — even though Congress created those side doors for use by small numbers of persecuted asylum seekers, stranded travelers, victimized children, and injured voyagers.
Mayorkas’s pro-migration policies are causing the family separations he says he wants to fix, Rob Law, the director of regulatory affairs and policy at the Center for Immigration Studies, said:
Well, I wouldn’t call it irony — I’d call it cruelty. This is intentionally being being done it and there’s no remorse for it. The open-border policies of the Biden administration create the separation of families as the [migrants] seek out the economic opportunities of living in the United States …
Young men recognize the administration’s half-hidden welcome for illegal foreign workers, and so they leave their families in their home countries to sneak into the United States, Law said:
The administration’s policies created the separation. Instead of taking responsibility and tightening work enforcement to get the [foreign] worker out of the United States and back to his home country, they say, “Well, we have sympathy for your scenario — which of course we created — and so now we’re going to find a way to extract your family from their home country, and just reunite them with you,” even though there’s nothing nothing in our immigration laws that would make these people qualified for anything to be here lawfully.
The policies of “Everyone’s an asylum seeker” and “Everyone should be let in” and “Everyone should be given a work permit” entices aliens from around the world to get into serious debt in order to pay very dangerous cartels and smugglers to get them to the border. That guarantees some portion of that [migrant] population is going to be abused during the journey, whether it’s physical, sexual, emotional. Nobody is going to get through that path to the southern border unscathed. Those are the human sacrifices that the Biden administration says is the trade-off for [migrants] coming to the United States.
“It is callous; it’s really heartless,” Law said.
The administration and its pro-migration allies jointly put up a show of defending the border, even as they cut backdoors and loopholes in the border to let more than 100,000 migrants through each month, according to Law. For example, the demand for $450,000 payouts is just encouraging more home-country relatives of the lawsuit families to claim they also face extortion that can only be resolved by their transfer into the United States, he said:
So they’re literally creating the scenario to encourage more migrants. It used to be you know Mexican day laborers would come for a season, and then they go back across the border back to Mexico and they would repeat this over years. But it was just single adult male workers. That was wrong, but it was limited. Now it’s the worker plus the entire family, and that family just seems to keep getting larger and larger and larger. As you see with these reported payments, now it’s cousins and third uncles and any other iteration of blood relative who is now claiming to be threatened because the bad guys — the cartels and the drug dealers … [The legal theatrics are] all just designed for the mass importation of aliens into the United States and the nullification of our immigration laws.
The administration’s border theatrics are good enough to persuade their allies — even though Biden welcomed roughly 620,000 southern migrants from February to September, or more than twice the 250,000 allowed in Trump in 2020.
Biden’s deputies, led by Mayorkas, have also allowed in 50,000 Afghans, hundreds of thousands of visa workers, and roughly 500,000 “gotaway” illegals.
Many polls show that Americans strongly oppose labor migration even as they also want to like immigrants and to allow some immigration. But the bipartisan federal government has exploited the public’s decency since 1990 to extract tens of millions of migrants from poor countries to boost U.S. businesses as workers, consumers, and renters.
That economic strategy is harmful to ordinary Americans: It cuts their career opportunities and their wages while it also raises their housing costs. The extraction-migration policy also widens regional wealth gaps nationwide. For example, Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s Bakersfield district in inland California has largely been ignored by job-creating investors. The investors can ignore Bakersfield and its job-seekers because they use the government-provided supply of migrants and foreign contract workers to staff new businesses near their coastal homes.
The migration strategy also curbs Americans’ productivity, shrinks their political clout, radicalizes their democratic, compromise-promoting civic culture, and allows wealthy elites to ignore despairing Americans at the bottom of society.
Unsurprisingly, a wide variety of little-publicized polls do show deep and broad opposition to labor migration and the inflow of temporary contract workers into jobs young U.S. graduates seek.
This opposition is growing, anti-establishment, multiracial, cross-sex, nonracist, class-based, bipartisan, rational, persistent, and recognizes the solidarity that Americans owe to one another.
Mexico: Where Is Your Shame?
At a demonstration Wednesday in Mexico City against Arizona's law.
Immigration: Mexico's government gloated triumphantly after a federal judge's injunction blocked Arizona's immigration law. But it's no victory for Mexico. In fact, Mexico's leaders ought to be mortified.
As radical immigration activists crowed with glee and the Obama administration claimed victory, Mexico's government joined the applause.
Calling Judge Susan Bolton's injunction Wednesday "a step in the right direction," Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa declared: "The government of Mexico would like to express its recognition for the determination demonstrated by the federal government of the United States and the actions of the civil organizations that organized lawsuits against the SB 1070 law."
In reality, it ought to be ashamed. Supposedly framed as an issue of federal power pre-empting state power, it's hardly Mexico's business. But Mexico made a big show of saying its interest was in protecting its nationals from the dreadful racism of Arizona that its own citizens, curiously enough, keep fleeing to.
Espinosa said her government was busy collecting data on civil rights violations and her department had issued an all-out travel warning to Mexican nationals about Arizona.
That's where Mexico's hypocrisy is just too much.
First, Mexico encourages illegal immigration to the U.S. Oh, it says it doesn't, but it prints comic book guides for would-be illegal immigrants and provides ID cards for illegals once they get here. In Arizona alone, Mexico keeps five consulates busy.
That's not out of love for its own citizens, but because Mexicans send cash back to Mexico that helps finance the government.
Instead of selling its wasteful state-owned oil company or getting rid of red tape to create jobs in Mexico, Mexico spends the hard currency from remittances. It fails to look at why its citizens leave.
According to the Heritage Foundation-Wall Street Journal 2010 Index of Economic Freedom, Mexico's big problem is — no shock — government corruption, where it ranks below the world average.
That's where Mexico's cartels come in.
Mexico's encouragement of illegal immigration undercuts its valiant war against its smuggling cartels. The cartels' prowess and firepower have made them the only ones who can smuggle effectively across the border. U.S. law enforcers say they now control human-smuggling on our southern border.
Feed them immigrants and they grow more cash-rich — and right now, immigrant smuggling is about a third of the cartels' income.
Mass graves and car bombings are signs of criminal organizations getting bigger, and more powerful. Juarez, which has lost 5,000 people this year, bleeds because cartels fight over not just who gets the drug routes, but who gets the illegal-immigrant smuggling routes, too.
Aside from the cartel mayhem in Mexico, the bodies are piling up in the Arizona desert and U.S. Border Patrol rescues of abandoned illegals left to die have risen.
It's not the desert's fault, and it's certainly not Uncle Sam's fault, as activists claim. No, it's the fact that Mexicans are encouraged to emigrate. Criminal cartels don't fear abandoning their human cargo in the desert, as long as Mexico does nothing and blames Uncle Sam.
Hearing Mexico's government now cheer the Arizona ruling, which will only encourage more illegal immigration, gives the country's regime a pretty inhuman face.
If Mexico had any decency, it would do all it could to discourage illegal immigration and keep a respectful silence about Arizona.
It needs U.S. support for its war on cartels. Instead of insulting American citizens, Mexico should confront directly the reasons why its people are so desperate to leave, and do all in its power to destroy the cartels that are slowly killing the nation. That includes defunding the murderous gangs by halting illegal immigration.
President Joe Biden’s border chief said he would support the illegal migrants who are suing the government for family payouts of $900,000 after they were separated from their children as they were prosecuted for illegal entry, according to a statement posted by the migrants’ lawyers.

Tom Cotton: Joe Biden Will Keep Foreign Drug Dealers in U.S.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) slammed President Joe Biden’s
administration amid evidence that his deputies want to
minimize the deportation of illegal migrants who are caught
dealing deadly drugs.
“It’s the Biden administration policy to allow illegal aliens to stay in America even after they: -Deal fentanyl and heroin -Commit fraud -Commit assault -Drive drunk -Launder money,” Cotton tweeted February 8.
“More than 80,000 Americans died from drug overdoses last year. And the Biden administration just announced that deporting illegal alien cartel members who deal with fentanyl and heroin is no longer a priority for his administration,” he added.
For more than 20 years, many Americans have been killed by drunk-driving illegals, including many killed after federal and state officials decide not to deport illegals.

The Washington Post reported February 7 how Biden’s deputies are changing deportation priorities for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency:
While ICE’s new operational plans are not yet final, interim instructions sent to senior officials point to a major shift in enforcement. Agents will no longer seek to deport immigrants for crimes such as driving under the influence and assault, and will focus instead on national security threats, recent border crossers and people completing prison and jail terms for aggravated felony convictions.
“Generally, these convictions would not include drug based crimes (less serious offenses), simple assault, DUI, money laundering, property crimes, fraud, tax crimes, solicitation, or charges without convictions,” acting director Tae Johnson told senior officials in a Thursday email advising them on how to operate while new guidelines are finalized.
“The priority for the enforcement of immigration laws will be on those who are imposing a national security threat, of course, a public safety threat, and on recent arrivals,” Biden spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in the February 8 White House press briefing:
Nobody is saying that DUIs or assaults are acceptable behavior, and those arrested for such activities should be tried and sentenced as appropriate by local law enforcement. But we’re talking about the prioritization of who is going to be deported from the country.
The priority list for deportations also excludes migrants who take American’ jobs and wages. This policy will largely abandon the task of protecting Americans’ right to a national labor market.
Biden has repeatedly declared he wants to make the nation’s immigration system more “fair” to migrants. Since January 20, he has minimized deportations, stopped construction of the border wall, offered an amnesty to migrants, broken anti-migration deals with three counties, and has lowered legal barriers to migration.
However, he has said little or nothing about how he will protect Americans’ rights, wages, safe streets, and reasonable housing from foreign criminals or job seekers. A February 2 statement said:
President Biden’s strategy is centered on the basic premise that our country is safer, stronger, and more prosperous with a fair, safe and orderly immigration system that welcomes immigrants, keeps families together, and allows people—both newly arrived immigrants and people who have lived here for generations—to more fully contribute to our country.
Amid Biden’s inrush of migrants and shutdown of deportations, more than 20 million Americans are unemployed or are stuck in part-time jobs.
Biden is also rolling back protections for American graduates, who have lost at least one million jobs because Fortune 500 CEOs and their subcontractors have hired more than 1 million foreign graduates for jobs sought by Americans.
In a separate tweet, Cotton lambasted Biden’s team for dropping a rule that would protect American graduate from losing jobs to H-1B graduate visa-workers who are willing to work for low wages in the hope of getting green cards:
Big Tech abuses the H-1B visa program to hire cheap foreign labor instead of Americans. That isn’t good for American workers, but the Biden administration is letting companies get away with it.https://t.co/YIolIoyqJl

For years, a wide variety of pollsters have shown deep and broad opposition to labor migration — or the hiring of temporary contract workers into the jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.
The multiracial, cross-sex, non-racist, class-based, priority-driven, and solidarity-themed opposition to labor migration coexists with generally favorable personal feelings toward legal immigrants and immigration in theory.
Joe Biden's deputies attack Americans' right to their own national labor market, by quietly barring the deportation of illegal migrants who take Americans' wages and jobs.
That labor policy helps corporate donors.
