‘Malarkey’: Joe Biden Snaps at Claim He Is Not Focused on Inflation

President Joe Biden reacted sharply to Republican claims on Friday he was failing the American people by not addressing inflation.

“Now I hear Republicans today say that my talking about this strong record says I don’t understand a lot of people are still suffering. Well, they are. Or that I’m not focused on inflation,” he said. “Malarkey.”

Biden delivered a speech on the economy at the White House after a disappointing number of jobs were created in the month of December.

He accused Republicans of focusing on inflation because they refused to vote for his multitrillion-dollar spending bills that fanned the flames of inflation.

“They want to talk down the recovery because they voted against the legislation that made it happen,” he grumbled.

Wage gains weakened in December despite Biden’s repeated claim that higher wages help reduce the cost of inflation on American families.

Biden focused on the 3.9 percent unemployment rate in December, claiming “historic” progress.

“Today America is the only leading economy in the world where the economy as a whole is stronger than before the pandemic,” he said.

The president also claimed that he helped save Christmas by working to address port congestion and supply chain disruptions.

“The Grinch did not steal Christmas,” he said emphatically. “Nor any votes.”

He also addressed criticism that four million Americans quit their jobs in November.

“Americans are moving up to better jobs with better pay and better benefits,” he claimed, pointing to more job opportunities in the American economy.

Biden argued that more spending was needed to continue the economic recovery, demanding that the Senate move forward on his Build Back Better legislation that has stalled.

“We can do all this. We can do it without increasing inflation and without increasing the deficit,” he said.

Nolte: Joe Biden’s Economic Disapproval Rating Hits Record Low of Last Three Presidents

WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 04: U.S. President Joe Biden speaks during a meeting of the White House COVID-19 Response Team January 4 , 2022 in Washington, DC. The U.S. continues to see daily case counts increase in the midst of another winter surge brought about primarily by the Omicron variant. …

A full 55 percent rate His Fraudulency Joe Biden as “poor” for his (mis)handling of the economy. This is lower than our two most recent former presidents — Donald Trump and Barry Obama — polled at any time during their respective presidencies.

Biden has also hit a three-president low in his (mis)handling of national security issues. Currently, 50 percent of those polled rate him as “poor.”

From Rasmussen:

In fact, Biden’s economic and national security ratings are worse than the lowest ratings of either of his two immediate predecessors. Former President Donald Trump’s lowest ratings for his handling of both the economy (44% poor) and national security (47% poor) were in July 2017.  Former President Barack Obama’s worst rating on the economy was 51% poor in August 2011 while Obama’s lowest rating on national security was 47% poor in January 2016.

The full numbers are even more startling…

On the economy, a  full 66 percent of Americans rate Biden as “poor” (55 percent) or “fair” (11 percent). Meanwhile, only 32 percent rate him as “excellent” (18 percent) or “good” (14 percent).

Previously, in this poll, Biden’s worst economic rating was a 51 percent “poor” rating.

On national security, a clear majority of 62 percent rate Biden as “poor” (50 percent) or “fair” (12 percent), while only 34 percent rate His Fraudulency as “excellent” (17 percent) or “good” (17 percent).

That 34 percent rating on national security is Biden’s lowest since he allegedly won the election. The previous low was 38 percent back in August when he so horribly botched the withdrawal from Afghanistan. So it makes sense that this number would be even lower today. Despite the fake news media’s best efforts, people haven’t forgotten that there are still Americans held hostage by the Taliban.

More than anything, what should trouble the White House is where Biden stands with “unaffiliated,” or Independent voters. A clear majority of 58 percent of Independents rate Biden’s handling of national security as “poor.” An even high number of Independents, 63 percent, say the same about the economy.

If you add up the “fair” and “poor” column with Independent voters, on the economy, Biden sits at 74 percent disapproval. On national security, his disapproval rating is 71 percent.

On the economy, Biden is even underwater with black voters. A plurality of 47 percent of black Americans rate Biden’s handling of the economy as “poor” (31 percent) to “fair” (16 percent), while only 46 percent rate him as “excellent (29 percent) to “good” (17 percent).

Black voters used to be the Democrat party’s most loyal base. That is no longer the case.

These numbers are very much in line with what we’re seeing from other pollsters.

Currently, in the RealClearPolitics poll of polls, Biden is underwater on the economy by 15 points. Only 40 percent approve of the job he’s doing, while 55 percent disapprove.

On national security (or foreign policy), Biden is underwater by 11.5 points. Only 41 percent approve of the job he’s doing compared to 52.5 percent who disapprove.

Biden’s overall job approval rating is underwater by 11.5 points. Only 42.5 percent approve, while a clear majority of 54 percent disapprove.

My guess is that Biden’s mishandling of the Omicron variant is about to make things much worse for him in the arena of public standing. He failed to order enough tests. He failed to see it coming when it was inevitable. And he contributed to an overreaction that is definitely going to affect job and economic growth.

This poll also proves that the media’s absurd obsession with the Capitol Hill riot last January is not distracting voters in the way the media would like. No one cares about any of that nonsense, not when Americans are being held hostage, and the cost of food and energy are exploding.

Biden’s January 6 Anniversary Speech - and His Big Lies

To top it off, Kamala compares the Capitol riot to Pearl Harbor and 9/11.

Vice President Kamala Harris set the stage yesterday for the Left’s exploitation of the first anniversary of the Capitol riot one year ago with incendiary remarks that outrageously compared the events of January 6, 2021, with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 and the Islamist terrorist attacks on America’s homeland on Sept. 11, 2001. This morbid comparison dishonors the thousands of lives lost on both of those catastrophic days and is a declaration of war on the millions of Americans who reject her corrupt administration.

When Biden took his turn, the self-proclaimed unifier delivered an angry, divisive January 6 anniversary speech, falsely accusing former President Donald Trump and his supporters of placing “a dagger at the throat of American democracy” by questioning his legitimacy. Evidently, in Biden’s version of the Constitution, the right to protest is reserved for Antifa and Black Lives Matter, but not for Americans.

The only dagger at the throat of democracy is Biden's renewed effort to take over and rig national elections under the false flag of voting rights and manufactured emergency because polls show there is no other conceivable way he could win the 2024 presidential election.

Biden asked: “Are we going to be a nation that accepts political violence as a norm? We cannot allow ourselves to be that kind of nation.”

When rioters were burning their way across the country, Kamala Harris and other future members of the Biden administration were raising bail money so they could go out and burn, loot, and beat more police officers.

After leftist radicals attempted to destroy a federal courthouse in Portland in July of that year, setting fires and breaching the courthouse doors, then-candidate Biden’s response to these clear acts of insurrection was to blame Trump, not the rioters.

“We have a president who is determined to sow chaos and division,” said Biden. “To make matters worse instead of better.”

Biden has refused to condemn either Antifa or Black Lives Matter by name. He will not condemn any of the Democrats, including his own vice president, who fundraised for the rioters. And he has met with Black Lives Matter leaders instead of prosecuting them for terrorism.

Kamala and Biden claim that they care about police officers. Where are they on the over 2,000 police officers injured in the summer riots?

Most Americans would agree that political violence is wrong. Yes, prosecute any Capitol rioters who actually engaged in criminal behavior, but what about the Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and other leftist rioters who so far have mostly escaped any consequences for their political violence across the country in the second half of 2020? Their anarchy resulted in immeasurably more destruction, fatalities, and injuries than occurred on January 6, 2021.

This is not to excuse the criminal behavior of those who entered the Capitol illegally and engaged in destructive acts, but only to highlight the clear double standard in how the Left views the January 6th riot versus the long hot summer of leftist riots in 2020.

Biden added: “We need a president who will bring us together instead of tear us apart, calm instead of inflame, and enforce the law faithfully rather than put his political interests first.”

He is certainly not that president.

Biden's speech is the embodiment of tearing Americans apart, of inflaming tensions, and of putting his political agenda ahead of the law.

In his January 6th anniversary speech, Biden used Trump and his seventy-four million voters in the 2020 election as foils to divert attention from his own administration’s miserable failures at home and abroad during his first year in office. The COVID-19 pandemic, skyrocketing inflation, surging crime, and illegal immigrants flooding into the country in record numbers are crises still plaguing the country as 2022 begins.

There was no call in Biden’s speech for an end to political violence on the Left as well as on the Right. He made no effort to soothe the American people’s frayed nerves or look forward with a positive agenda to solve the problems his administration has created. Instead, the Divider-in-Chief chose to look backward and hype last year’s Capitol incident as a mortal threat to democracy and the rule of law.

Biden said repeatedly in his speech that he intended to separate the truth about what happened on January 6, 2021 from the “big lies” he claimed were being told by Trump and his supporters. “We must be absolutely clear about what is true and what is a lie,” Biden declared. But the President spouted at least three big lies of his own during his speech.

First, Biden falsely accused Trump of trying “to prevent the peaceful transfer of power.” Trump was certainly vocal about challenging the suspicious results of the 2020 election, but he did and said nothing to prevent the transfer of power. Biden assumed office peacefully on January 20, 2021.

Second, Biden claimed that Trump had “rallied the mob to attack.” False. During Trump’s January 6th speech at his peaceful “Save America” rally, Trump said to the attendees: "We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard." (Emphasis added) Trump is not responsible for the violent actions of a fringe breakaway group.

Third, Biden exploited the first anniversary of the Capitol riot to promote the Democrats’ power-grab, voting “reform” legislation. He distorted what states are doing to protect the integrity of their election processes, claiming that “new laws are being written not to protect the vote, but to deny it. Not only to suppress the vote but to subvert it.”

Georgia’s new voting law, for example, has been a frequent target of Biden’s verbal attacks. But that law is actually more liberal in allowing no-excuse mail-in voting, as opposed to the more restrictive requirements of New York and Biden’s home state of Delaware where voters must have a valid reason for not voting in person.

Finally, to put things in perspective, it is worth remembering a far more dangerous attack on the Capitol and on members of Congress than the January 6th riot. On March 1, 1954, four Puerto Rican nationalist radicals invaded the Capitol and began spraying the place with bullets. They shot five congressmen, injuring at least one seriously. Former President Jimmy Carter commuted the sentences of the Puerto Rican terrorists well before the end of what would have been their full sentences.

Despite their hysterical claims of fearing for their lives at the hands of Trump supporters, no members of Congress were injured on January 6, 2021. The only violent fatality at all that day was that of an unarmed protester, Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt, shot and killed at point-blank range by a Capitol police officer.

The January 6th breach of the Capitol was no Pearl Harbor. It was no 9/11. Such disgusting comparisons are a brazen appeal to raw emotions in a cynical attempt by Democrats, from the President on down, to push their plan to federalize elections for partisan gain and for permanent one-party control.

Illegal Aliens, Cuban National Accused of Running ‘Massive Amazon Theft Ring’

Two illegal aliens and a legal immigrant from Cuba have been accused of operating a “massive Amazon theft ring” in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, police charge.

Illegal alien Cesar Yasnier Cerqueira Rojas, illegal alien Maikel Perez Laurencio, and legal immigrant Dinneris Matos Delgado were arrested and charged with 15 felony counts of possession of stolen property and embezzlement.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, Rojas, Laurencio, and Delgado operated a theft ring whereby thousands of dollars worth of Amazon packages were siphoned from their intended destination and sent to a private residence.

“Every one of these packages was supposed to be delivered by Christmas Day,” Aaron Brilbeck with the sheriff’s office told local media. “So, 600 people didn’t get their Christmas gifts as a result of this.”

On December 30, police said they were called to an area where a report of illegal dumping was reported. Police said they found about 600 empty Amazon packages dumped on the ground and a garbage bag that included an address and receipt from a nearby store.

That is when police obtained a warrant for a residence in Luther, Oklahoma. When police raided the residence, they found thousands of undelivered Amazon packages, many of which were still fully wrapped and packaged on pallets. The packages filled every room of the residence, police said.

Based on the warrant, police allege that Rojas — who had been working as a driver for a company that delivers Amazon packages — used a truck owned by Delgato and loaded extra pallets of Amazon packages onto the truck each day and brought them to the residence rather than delivering them to their intended destination.

Police said Laurencio was involved in the theft ring and likewise worked for a driving company that contracted with Amazon to deliver packages.

Delgato was also charged with possession of meth and police said they expect more charges to be filed against all three suspects.

Biden Frees Record Number of Illegal Aliens into U.S. via ‘Catch and Release’

President Joe Biden has released a record number of border crossers and illegal aliens into the United States interior via a little-known federal program used as part of a larger “Catch and Release” policy.

As of late December 2021, Biden has placed about 150,755 border crossers into the government’s Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program, wherein border crossers are apprehended and quickly released into the U.S. interior with minimal tracking.

In some circumstances, ATD simply places ankle monitors on border crossers before releasing them into the U.S. interior. Border crossers often tear the ankle monitors off. In other circumstances, ATD asks border crossers to report to the government via telephone or be monitored by a smartphone application.

An official with the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University, which compiles the data, told Border Report that this is the highest number of border crossers placed into the ATD program since its inception in 2004.

TRAC

Chart via TRAC at Syracuse University

In a number of cases, border crossers who have been placed in the ATD program have gone on to later commit crimes.

An illegal alien, in March 2021, was arrested for allegedly murdering his newborn son. Three years prior, the illegal alien was apprehended at the southern border and released into the U.S. through the ATD program.

For months, the open borders lobby — funded by corporate interests — has urged the Biden administration to end the ATD program and instead release border crossers and illegal aliens without any sort of monitoring.

Border crossers and illegal aliens placed into ATD are not the total number of border crossers and illegal aliens released into the U.S. interior by the Biden administration. While nearly two million border crossers arrived at the southern border last year, Biden has released more than 530,000 into the U.S. interior, according to the latest estimates.

Border Patrol Reports 7 Migrant Sex Offender Arrests in 1st Week of 2022

The Border Patrol reported the arrest of 10 migrants previously convicted of sex offenses in the first six days of the new year. The migrants arrested with previous sex crimes, mostly related to children, occurred in seven of the nine southwest border sectors.

Migrants with previous convictions and formal removals face stiff penalties when caught again. The Border Patrol reported more than 60 such arrests in October and November alone.

On Thursday, Border Patrol agents in Douglas, Arizona, arrested Patricio Caravantes-Salgado. Their investigation revealed Caravantes, a Mexican national, was convicted of felony unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 16 in Orange County, California.

On Wednesday, agents arrested Jose Padilla-Yepez, a 54-year-old Mexican national, near Laredo, Texas. Their investigation revealed an active warrant from Pierce County, Wisconsin. His record included convictions for murder, burglary, sexual assault, and battery. Padilla’s most serious conviction was 2nd degree murder in Texas in 1989.

Also on Wednesday, agents in the Rio Grande Valley arrested a Salvadoran national crossing near Hidalgo, Texas. The migrant was accompanying seven others including an unrelated 7-year-old and her mother. Despite providing agents with an alias, they were able to determine he was Rodrigo Ernesto Quinteros-Mercado.

Quinteros was previously convicted of felony indecency with a child in Houston. Quinteros was formally removed in 2019 after a subsequent arrest for stalking and child abuse. Quinteros is still wanted on charges by the Harris County Sheriff’s Department.

On Monday, agents assigned to the El Paso Sector reported the arrest of an unnamed Ecuadorian migrant near Santa Teresa, New Mexico. The migrant had served 12 years in prison after being convicted for Aggravated Sodomy, Child Molestation, and Rape in Atlanta.

On Sunday, the Border Patrol reported the arrest of Nestor Ramirez-Zarco, a Mexican citizen who entered near Casa Grande, Arizona. Ramirez is a registered sex offender in Will County, Illinois.

In Sullivan City, Texas, also on Sunday, the Border Patrol reported the arrest of Luis Felipe Aguilar-Diaz, a Honduran. Agents determined Aguilar was sentenced to five years confinement for aggravated sexual assault of a 14-year-old. Aguilar returned to the U.S. seven months after he was removed.

On January 2, agents reported the arrest of an unnamed Honduran migrant near Hidalgo, Texas. According to the Border Patrol, the migrant was previously convicted of burglary and indecency with a child in 1998. The 41-year-old served 145 days of confinement.

Amid the thousands of migrants crossing the southwest border daily, finding those with significant criminal histories is challenging. With the added responsibility of providing humanitarian care for record breaking levels of crossings, routine patrol efforts have been negatively impacted.

A source within Customs and Border Protection, speaking on the condition of anonymity, reports nearly 500,000 migrants were believed to have evaded apprehension in 2021.
