VP Harris: ‘I Will Not Absolve’ Any Senators from Responsibility of Upholding Voting Rights

Vice President Kamala Harris said Wednesday in a preview clip of her interview with NBC’s “Today Show” that she would “not absolve” any senators from the responsibility of passing the Democrats voting legislation, including Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WA) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ).

President Joe Biden endorsed changing the Senate filibuster rule to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, saying it’s time to choose “democracy over autocracy” during a speech at Morehouse College in Georgia on Tuesday.

Biden added, “So, I ask every elected official in America: How do you want to be remembered? At consequential moments in history, they present a choice: Do you want to be on the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?”

Harris said, “I will not absolve the 50 Republicans in the United States Senate from responsibility for upholding one of the most basic and important tenets of our democracy, which is free and fair elections and access to the ballot for all eligible voters.”

Host Craig Melvin asked, “What about Senator Manchin? What about Senator Sinema?”

Harris said, “I don’t think anyone should be absolved from the responsibility of preserving and protecting our democracy.”

Illegal Aliens from South America Are Burglarizing Rich Asians in D.C. Suburbs

Illegal aliens, and foreign nationals using the little-known Visa Waiver Program (VWP), from South America are flocking to the suburbs of Washington, D.C. to burglarize rich Asian Americans, the Washington Post reports.

Groups of illegal aliens, often posing as Peurto Ricans, and foreign nationals arriving in the U.S. on the VWP are sweeping the nation in states like Virginia, Texas, South Carolina, New York, New Jersey, and California with organized home burglaries.

In the D.C. suburbs of Fairfax County, the illegal aliens and foreign nationals are targeting wealthy Asian Americans with million-dollar homes and loads of expensive items. One Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) official called the so-called “crime tourists” an “enormous threat right now in our country” that is expanding every day.

Even after being arrested, though, the illegal aliens and foreign nationals face such low bail that they are often quickly released from police custody.

The Post reports:

Law enforcement experts say cells of professional South American burglars, particularly from Colombia and Chile, are entering the country illegally or exploiting a visa waiver program meant to expedite tourism from dozens of trusted foreign countries. [Emphasis added]

Once here, they travel from state to state carrying out scores of burglaries, jewelry heists and other crimes, pilfering tens or hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of goods each year, the FBI estimates. Experts said the groups often operate with impunity because they have found a kind of criminal sweet spot. [Emphasis added]

Bail for nonviolent property offenses is often low, so an arrested burglar often quickly gets bond and skips town for the next job, experts said. The crimes often don’t meet the threshold for the involvement of federal authorities. And they attract less attention at a time when U.S. authorities are contending with a rise in homicides. [Emphasis added]

While those involved from Chile are able to arrive in the U.S. without a visa as part of the VWP, Colombia is not a VWP country and thus police allege that criminals are arriving illegally or on fraudulent documents that claim they are Puerto Rican.

Despite warnings that the VWP should be curtailed or eliminated altogether by the 9/11 Commission Staff Report, every administration since former President George W. Bush has expanded the program.

In 2019, for instance, former President Trump expanded the VWP to include Poland. Last year, President Joe Biden expanded the VWP to include Croatia.

The VWP list includes Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Chile, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.

DHS: 6-in-7 Illegal Aliens Released into U.S. by Biden Are Evading Deportation

Most border crossers and illegal aliens freed into the United States interior by President Joe Biden’s administration are evading deportation, new government data reveals.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data comes after inquiries from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who has sought the total number of border crossers and illegal aliens released into the U.S. interior in the first 12 months of Biden’s presidency.

DHS continues to hide the figure. The last estimate suggests that Biden released a total of 530,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior from January 20, 2021 to late October 2021.

The newest data disproves remarks made by DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas wherein he claimed in a Senate hearing that “approximately 75 percent” of border crossers and illegal aliens released into the U.S. interior with Notices to Appear (NTAs) in immigration court and Notices to Report (NTRs) to a DHS field office are complying with the reporting requirements.

Compliance with the reporting requirements is necessary to ensure that border crossers and illegal aliens are placed into deportation proceedings.

Contrary to Mayorkas’s claims, the DHS data reveals that in five months from March to August 2021, more than half of the border crossers and illegal aliens released into the U.S. interior with NTRs have not complied with the requirements to report to the agency.

Of more than 104,000 released with NTRs during that time, less than 50,000 have checked in with DHS, while more than 54,000 have skipped out on the reporting requirement.

Even for border crossers and illegal aliens complying with the reporting requirement, Biden’s DHS has issued few NTAs to jumpstart deportation proceedings. For instance, only about 15.6 percent of border crossers and illegal aliens released with an NTR have later been given an NTA to appear before an immigration court to face deportation.

The other roughly 85 percent of border crossers and illegal aliens are successfully evading deportation from the U.S. by ditching the reporting requirements. The number of border crossers and illegal aliens evading deportation could be even higher as many could skip out on their immigration court date issued to them via the NTA.

In 2019, a federal pilot program that tracked the reporting rates of border crossers and illegal aliens released into the U.S. interior showed similar failures with compliance.

At that time, the Justice Department data found that nearly 90 percent of border crossers and illegal aliens were skipping out on their court dates to instead live illegally in the U.S.

RNC Warns Against Democrat Election Reform: ‘Freedom to Cheat Act’ Will ‘Eviscerate’ Voter ID Laws

Republican leaders warned against the latest Democrat push for federal election reform on Tuesday, pointing specifically to bill measures about voter ID and same-day voter registration.

Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and National Republican Senatorial Committee chairman Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) ripped into the federal election reform proposals pending before Congress during a call with reporters, just ahead of President Joe Biden visiting Georgia on Tuesday afternoon.

“We call it the Freedom to Cheat Act,” McDaniel said of the Freedom to Vote Act, which Senate Democrats are hoping to pass against Republican wishes by changing the 60-vote filibuster rule.

“It eviscerates state voter ID laws, which 36 states have passed,” the chairwoman said. “This bill eliminates states’ more secure voter ID requirements, replacing them with a process that is rife with fraud.”

The sweeping bill would order states with voter ID laws to widen their accepted forms of voter identification to allow for several alternatives, including forms of identification that do not contain a photo.

The influential conservative thinktank Heritage Foundation, which has actively been lobbying states to tighten their election processes, deems “model” voter ID rules to be those that require voters to present a government-issued ID that contains a photo and makes clear that the voter is an American citizen when they go to cast their ballot. In December, Heritage scored states on this metric and found six states, including Georgia — a state that has become ground zero in the fight over election laws — received perfect scores in regard to voter ID laws specifically. Another 22 states received at least partial credit or more for their voter ID laws.

McDaniel cited Atlanta’s recent municipal elections, which took place well after Gov. Brian Kemp (R) signed into law Georgia’s high-profile Election Integrity Act last year. Despite Democrats and some corporations attacking the overhaul bill, claiming it amounted to voter suppression of racial minorities, the major Georgia newspaper the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported the city elections ran smoothly for voters.

“Most voters reported they didn’t face any obstacles at the polls,” the AJC wrote. McDaniel also noted voter turnout in Atlanta increased by 17 percent.

The chairwoman added that boycotts that took place, namely by Major League Baseball, over the election bill happened because Democrats like Biden and voting rights activist Stacey Abrams publicly misrepresented it. She noted the Washington Post fact-checking Biden at the time, awarding the president “four Pinocchios” for his remarks on one of the bill’s provisions.

“Georgians lost out on $100 million in projected revenue. Businesses that had been struggling through the pandemic who were counting on that revenue lost out because of lies told by Joe Biden and Democrats about the Georgia law,” McDaniel said. “Everything they said was a lie.”

McDaniel also noted the Freedom to Vote Act “would force 29 states to adopt same-day voter registration. It forces [states] to let violent felons vote. I mean, the list goes on and on about how bad, how truly bad this bill is.”

Senate Democrats, led by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), have conveyed serious interest in voting on changing Senate rules as early as sometime in the next week to push through election reforms, despite two Democrats remaining opposed to changing the 60-vote filibuster rule, the key rule that — if changed or circumvented — would allow Schumer to pass election reforms with a simple majority of senators rather than 60.

Scott charged that “Democrats don’t want free and fair elections. They want elections only Democrats can win.”

“We’ve watched this last year, they’ve had a difficult time, the Democrats, passing their radical agenda so they want to change the rules,” Scott said. “They want to change the rules so they can ban voter ID, even though it’s very popular around the country.”

Scalise: In the Midst of Inflation, Border Crises, Biden’s Biggest Concern Is Attacking Voter ID

On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “America Reports,” House Minority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) said that in the middle of crises on inflation and the border, “Joe Biden’s top priority is getting rid of picture ID” in order to placate “party bosses amongst the Democrats in Washington.”

Scalise stated, “In the midst of all these crises, inflation, high gas prices, a border crisis, go down the list that families are facing, Joe Biden’s top priority is getting rid of picture ID and mandating same-day voter registration in every state in America, which opens the door, by everybody’s account, to massive voter fraud. Why would he want to do that? Why is that his top priority? His top priority should be helping families who are struggling because of the failures of the Biden presidency.”

He added that getting rid of voter ID is “not something the voters are crying for. It’s just some of the party bosses amongst the Democrats in Washington. Most people don’t want this. They want Washington focused on their problems, like inflation, like high gas prices that Joe Biden created.”

IT BEGINS: HarperCollins Readying Release of Peter Schweizer Blockbuster Investigation

Politico Playbook exclusively reported Wednesday that publishing giant HarperCollins is preparing to release the next investigative bombshell book by six-time New York Times bestselling author Peter Schweizer titled Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win.

Red-Handed remains under a strict embargo until its January 25 release date.

The book’s cover, which Politico obtained a copy of, features photos of President Joe Biden and Chinese Communist Party Leader Xi Jinping, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), former House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), LeBron James, Elon Musk, Henry Kissinger, and Bill Gates. According to Politico, Red-Handed will “expose bad actors on both ends of the political spectrum and their willingness to do China’s bidding.”

Given the bestselling author’s investigative track record, the book’s subjects may have cause for concern. Peter Schweizer’s Clinton Cash sparked an FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation. His last two books, Profiles in Corruption and Secret Empires, each hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and exposed how Hunter Biden and Joe Biden flew aboard Air Force Two in 2013 to China before Hunter’s firm inked a $1.5 billion deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China just 10 days after the trip.

Schweizer, who is the president of the nonpartisan Government Accountability Institute (GAI) and a senior contributor to Breitbart News, also authored Throw Them All Out, which, according to left-leaning Slate, was “the book that started the STOCK Act stampede.” The bipartisan STOCK Act (Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge) banned insider trading by members of Congress and was signed into law by President Barack Obama on April 4, 2012. The legislation received overwhelming support from both parties. One of the main figures featured in Schweizer’s Throw Them All Out, then-chairman of the House Financial Services Committee Spencer Bachus (R-AL), announced he would not seek reelection after the book’s reporting. CBS’s 60 Minutes did an investigative report on Schweizer’s revelations that won them the Joan Shorenstein Barone Award for excellence in Washington-based journalism.

Mitch McConnell to Run for Senate GOP Leader Again After 2022 Midterms

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Tuesday told reporters he will run for the Republican Senate leadership position again after the 2022 midterms.

McConnell’s announcement comes as he is the longest-serving Republican Senate leader, first elected in 2006 and for eight consecutive times thereafter.

Under his tenure, the national debt has grown nearly 20 billion, illegal immigration has continued, and real wages for American workers have not risen since the 1970s.

Obamacare was enacted in 2010. Big banks were bailed out in 2008, and social media companies have silenced individuals without repercussions.

McConnell is also married to Elaine Chao, who has been accused of profiting from her family ties to communist China’s shipping industry.

In October, McConnell caved to Democrats’ demands and raised the debt ceiling, enabling Democrats to forward President Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda.

Before the vote, McConnell had promised he would not enable Biden’s agenda.

President Donald Trump questioned House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s dubious participation in stock market initial public offering shares, enriching her family.

The president shared a clip Monday highlighting a CBS 60 Minutes report featuring author and Breitbart senior contributor Peter Schweizer’s investigation into Pelosi and her husband participating in at least eight different stock IPOs while in Congress.

60 Minutes reporter Steve Kroft confronted Pelosi on the topic in 2011, but she denied any impropriety.

The report noted that Pelosi and her husband participated in an initial public offering of Visa in 2008, while credit card regulation was underway in the House of Representatives. The Pelosis bought 5,000 shares at the initial price of $44 and shares were trading at $64 just two days later, according to the report. 

“Congress has never done more for consumers nor has the Congress passed more critical reforms of the credit card industry than under the Speakership of Nancy Pelosi,” Pelosi spokesman, Drew Hammill, said in a statement, according to CNN after the 60 Minutes report aired.

The clip was featured on Mark Levin’s Fox News show Life, Liberty and Levin on Sunday.

 

 

Turns out Biden's family not the only one to benefit from Ukrainian fossil fuels

On Sept. 24, 2019, Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the official impeachment inquiry that would be led by the Intelligence Committee and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).  At first, this was a curious decision to objective persons, since the Judiciary Committee has the authority over this type of procedure.  At the time, Pelosi indicated a threat by President Donald Trump to our national security during the July 25 conversation between him and President Zelensky of Ukraine.  She did this without the benefit of the transcript, but she doubtless already knew much of the CIA "whistleblower's" complaint.  Further, the Ukrainian president disputes her version.

But this is not the rationale for her haste to convene the investigation.  It appears that the D.C. swamp benefits another powerful family.  The Biden family has gotten special treatment from Ukrainian oil interests, and the Pelosi family has a similar advantage.  Paul Pelosi, Jr. was a board member of Viscoil and an executive at its related company NRGLab, which was involved in energy business in Ukraine.  Perhaps the use of the Intelligence Committee has given the Democrats the opportunity to limit Republican questioning and maintain secrecy over the responses from subpoenaed witnesses.  This would prevent any official record implicating Pelosi's son.  This also explains her reluctance to take a vote authorizing the investigation, since the minority party would gain some rights.

This is interesting also since much of the Democratic Party rejects carbon-based energy sources.  Biden has made this a part of his campaign.  The Green New Deal proposals will eventually end dependency on oil and gas as an energy source.  But this does not stop these politicos from benefiting financially from this sector of the economy.  This reminds one of the financial benefits that Al Gore's father had from Occidental Petroleum, which was one of the great polluters (remember Love Canal?).  He chose to make money selling carbon offsets to atone and make his own name. 

The Ukrainian oil company Burisma used many well connected members of the D.C. establishment connected to the Obama administration.  This interlocking swamp is a threat to the USA.  But the media have managed to convince a vast number of Americans that Trump is the threat.  When Trump railed against Pelosi in Louisiana on Friday, he was accusing her of not just splitting the nation politically, but also ignoring the financial benefits to powerful families at the detriment of our national security.  This also helps explain the constant discussion in public about Biden's son Hunter, in addition to the political advantage he might gain.

No wonder the establishment (including many Republicans) wants to impeach Trump.  Family security always "trumps" national security in the D.C. swamp.
