Former Attorney General William Barr writes in his new book that former President Donald Trump is to blame for the January 6 Capitol Hill riot as he calls for a new 2024 nominee.

In his upcoming 600-page book profiled by the Wall Street JournalBarr argues that former President Trump has “shown he has neither the temperament nor persuasive powers to provide the kind of positive leadership that is needed.” Barr even goes as far to say that Trump could have won the 2020 election if he had “just exercised a modicum of self-restraint, moderating even a little of his pettiness.”

“The election was not ‘stolen,’” he asserts in the book, titled One Damn Thing After Another. “Trump lost it.”

Barr advises that Republicans look to “an impressive array of younger candidates” for the 2024 election to avoid the pitfalls of the former president’s “erratic personal behavior.”

Barr also profiles a meeting he had in the Oval Office after he declared publicly that widespread evidence of voter fraud in the 2020 election did not exist.

“’This is killing me—killing me. This is pulling the rug right out from under me,’” Barr claims Trump shouted at him. “He stopped for a moment and then said, ‘You must hate Trump. You would only do this if you hate Trump.’” Per the Wall Street Journal:

Mr. Trump then launched into a list of other grievances he had with his attorney general: that the federal prosecutor Mr. Barr ordered to review the origins of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Russia probe that preceded the Mueller report hadn’t released his findings before the 2020 election, and that Mr. Barr declined to prosecute former FBI Director James Comey after a department watchdog rebuked him for sharing memos that contained sensitive information about his interactions with Mr. Trump, a complaint brought up repeatedly by the president.

Barr claims he offered his resignation at that moment, which the president accepted. “Leave and don’t go back to your office. You are done right now. Go home!” Barr asserts Trump told him.

Barr eventually resigned from his position weeks later.

Regarding January 6, the former attorney general said that Trump lost himself after the election and pushed the voter fraud to such an intense degree that it led to the riot on Capitol Hill.

“The absurd lengths to which he took his ‘stolen election’ claim led to the rioting on Capitol Hill,” he writes.

Whether or not Republicans ultimately choose to follow Barr’s advice remains to be seen; for now, the former president enjoys overwhelming support for the 2024 nomination according to various polls. This past weekend, Trump handily won the CPAC straw poll by 59 percent.

Another day and another bad Biden poll

In baseball, they call it a bad streak, like the 1988 Baltimore Orioles starting the season 0-20.  Yes, I mean losing their first 20 games.  At one point, my late father said something about "the law of averages."

They finally won their first game after losing 20 in a row.   They finished 57-105 that year, or, things did not really get any better after the terrible start.

Maybe we will call President Biden the political version of the 1988 Orioles.  So far, President Biden keeps losing support.  It's so bad that 62 percent of voters say Putin wouldn't have invaded Ukraine if Trump were president.

How low can you go?  The poll goes on to say that Putin saw a weak president and decided to invade Ukraine.  Fair or unfair that's the way it is.

The latest three presidential approval polls continue the downtrend started since last summer:   ABC at 38%, Harvard-Harris at 38% and NPR at 40%.

Can President Biden turn this around?  Well, you never say never in politics.  After all, the GOP could blow the golden opportunity ahead of them.  Or they could get obsessed with 2020 recounts rather than getting some tangible things done, like school choice.

President Biden's problem is that an impression has been created, the weak leader that we don't see after 5 p.m. Or, the leader who lets the party's left wing put the talking points in the TelePrompTer.

Americans don't sense that Biden is in charge or physically up to the job.

The result is bad polls and more polls.  We are not seeing the "rally around the president" during an international crisis.  Instead, Americans are saying that President Biden's weakness invited the crisis.

Did I tell you paid $ 3.45 for a gallon of gasoline in Texas?  Yes, Biden did that too.

Poll: Strong Majority Now Think Joe Biden Is Mentally Unfit to Serve

A strong majority of adults in the United States believe President Joe Biden is mentally unfit to serve as commander in chief, according to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll.

The poll, which was released only days before the president is slated to give the State of the Union address, showed a majority believe Biden is unfit to serve as president while also revealing the lowest job approval rating (37 percent) from the Washington Post/ABC News poll since becoming president just over a year ago.

The recent poll revealed that the “underlying weakness” is to the degree that most adults “have doubts about his personal capacities.” When the respondents were asked if he was a strong leader, 59 percent said no, while 36 percent said yes. In fact, those percentages resemble his job approval; 37 percent approve and 55 percent disapprove.

When asked about Biden’s “mental sharpness” to serve as president, 54 percent said they do not think Biden is mentally sharp enough, while only 40 percent said he is. When respondents were asked the same question in May 2020, when Biden was only a candidate, 51 percent said he had the “mental sharpness” needed to serve as president, while 43 percent said he did not.

Biden seemed to have lost independents, a critical polling group, on this topic. Fifty-nine percent of the independents gave the president’s mental sharpness a negative assessment, a rise of 13 percentage points since May 2020.

The Washington Post/ABC News poll was conducted from February 20 to 24, where it asked 1,011 random adults in the U.S. The poll saw a four percent margin of error.

Among them is Biden willfully violating federal immigration laws by throwing open the  border.  Also, there's Biden's conflict of interest while dealing with China and Ukraine owing to his son's shady deals with the two countries.  The catastrophe in Afghanistan can also be used as a reason.

Nolte: The State of Joe Biden’s Union Is Domestic and Worldwide Chaos

This coming Tuesday, His Fraudulency Joe Biden will make his State of the Union address, and do so after he has spent the last year plunging both America and the world into chaos.

How both he and the Misinformation Media will try to gaslight us into believing differently is now painfully obvious. We’re going to hear a lot about jobs created (when they were not) and how many people have been vaccinated (but not the fact that more died under Biden than under Trump). We’ll be told it’s only a coincidence that the CDC suddenly realized The Science would allow us to unmask just days before this speech. We’ll be told the adults are back in charge. We’ll be told Biden is a True Statesman —and so on and so forth, and spin and lie and lie and spin.

Yes, this walking corpse and his army of media propagandists will do their worst, but the outcome is assured: none of these lies will succeed. The era of the corporate media swaying public opinion has ended (see here and most especially here). Therefore, try as he might, the worst president of my lifetime will not be able to paper over the truth of his failure, of the chaos he has reaped at home and abroad.

After four years of peace under Trump–of North Korea tamed, of peace deals in the Middle East, of Putin at a total standstill–Biden’s blundering and blustering, his obscene and shameful Afghanistan withdrawal, his dotage and stupidity, his killing of our energy pipelines while approving Putin’s, have all brought about a terrible war in Ukraine. Where this war could lead is unthinkable.

After four years of economic growth, record low unemployment, and every sign of a V-shaped, post-pandemic recovery, Biden plunged us into the economic crisis of record inflation, supply chain snarls, a faltering Wall Street, and a dying Main Street.

After Trump turned America into an energy-independent nation, Biden shut that down, which not only emboldened Putin’s criminal adventurism but once again put America at the mercy of Middle Eastern countries that hate us. The result is the doubling of energy prices—the cruelest tax on the poor.

After Trump handed Biden a miracle vaccine, the very same vaccine Candidate Biden told Americans not to trust, His Fraudulency bungled the rollout so badly one can hardly believe the results. Fact: more people died under Biden (who had the vaccine) than died under Trump (who did not).

Biden’s cynical and sadistic decision to put all his eggs into the Vaccine Basket, ignore life-saving therapeutics, and use vaccine mandates as a political tool to divide society and scapegoat and dehumanize the unvaccinated needlessly killed countless Americans.

Biden exploded the deficit, and the result is the record inflation eating the poor alive.

Under Biden, violent crime is hitting Democrat-run cities in ways unseen for decades.

After Trump had nearly solved this problem, our Southern border is now wide open. As a result, millions of unvaccinated illegal aliens are pouring into our country. We have no idea who these people are, but we do know they bring crime, lower wages, and increased housing costs.

To top things off, Biden just chose one of the most divisive Supreme Court nominees in history when he was offered a unifying one.

Under Biden, it’s all chaos, chaos everywhere, at home and abroad, and there is no end in sight. And all of this chaos is a direct result of Biden’s policies, his incompetence, his lack of empathy, his lack of decency, his corruption, his ego, his stupidity, and the fact that he becomes more mentally diminished by the day.

The State of our union is Joe Biden’s creation, and it is as bad as it’s ever been.

Biden has nothing to stand on other than lies, rhetoric, division, and a corporate media that can no longer put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

The Tragic Tale of Hunter Biden

Hunter Biden Laptop Interview Body Language (2021)

Joe Biden is obviously incapacitated: What is to be done?

A few days back, Texas GOP rep. Ronny Jackson, who was the White House physician during the Obama and Trump administrations, dared to state the obvious, which is an act of bravery in current times.

Jackson called for Biden to take a cognitive test because Biden is "not fit to be our president right now" amid the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

The following are key excerpts from his remarks during an interview:

The whole country is seeing his mental cognitive issues on display for over a year now, and there's really no question in most people's minds that there's something going on with him, that he's not cognitively the same as he used to be and, in my mind, not fit to be our president right now.

Every time he gets up and talks to the American people, it's not just the American people that are watching him speak, it's the whole world, and that's part of what the problem is here.

He looks tired, he looks weak, he looks confused, he's incoherent, and it sends a message of weakness all over the world, and they're seizing up on that.

Jackson provided an easy way for even regular people to verify Biden's decline.

He's got 40 years of tape, go back and look at this man, it's not like we don't have anything to compare it to. He's always made gaffes but never like this. This is something different. These aren't gaffes. This is something much more serious.

Jackson said Biden's mental fitness for office, or a lack thereof, "was on full display during the debacle in Afghanistan" and that it could "get more Americans killed" and "ultimately get us in a war because of his lack of leadership."

This isn't a mean-spirited personal attack.  Jackson is merely stating facts.

The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine's website states that cognitive disorder impairment or dementia usually affects older adults.  This condition affects memory, thinking, and behavior.  It progresses to the point where it affects basic activities and functions.

An individual who suffers from this condition deserves compassion, care, and protection.

This individual must not be assigned stressful or complex tasks.  We won't travel in a vehicle driven by such an individual or allow him to lead an elementary project.  We most emphatically don't want him to lead one of the largest democracies in the world.

The decline in Biden's cognitive abilities was apparent since he launched his presidential bid.  But the Democrat news media conveniently ignored it.  Biden's handlers used COVID-19 as an excuse to restrict public interaction.  They rigged the elections, and soon Biden was in the White House.

It has been one disaster after another since then.

His schedule proves he does very little in the White House.

Biden rarely is subjected to the press for impromptu question-and-answer sessions.  We have seen many situations where Biden is prevented from answering questions by his staffers.  Live broadcasts with Biden are frequently delayed by an hour, perhaps because Biden is unprepared.  He always reads from a teleprompter in a fashion that makes it obvious that he doesn't comprehend the words he is producing.

He frequently escapes to Delaware, even now at the height of the crisis in Ukraine.

For his handlers, Biden is probably the dream candidate.  He can barely remember the names of his colleagues, and his legacy is the least of his concerns.  They can use him as their puppet to implement their radical agenda.  They made the consistently incompetent Kamala Harris the vice president, rendering Biden unimpeachable.

Installing a puppet and running a government by proxy are tactics used by the deep states of third-world totalitarian regimes.  It is a disgrace that this is happening in the U.S.

The lust for power and the associated pecuniary gains cause people to behave in the most inhuman fashion.  It is inhuman of Biden's wife and his immediate relatives to allow this exploitation that frequently makes Biden the target of ridicule.

Biden's handlers may be able to manage an incapacitated president behind closed doors in the White House and before an obsequious media.  The problem arises when he is exposed to tough customers such as Vlad Putin.  Putin knows all about incapacitated leaders and how to get around them and turn it all to his advantage, having lived in his formative years through incapacitated Soviet dictators such as doddering Leonid Brezhnev; the seriously ill Yuri Andropov; the very old and incapacitated Konstantin Chernenko, who was literally propped up by his aides; and, post-USSR, the drunken Boris Yeltsin.  Putin understood how to gain power during those shambling times.  He probably saw the pattern repeating during his one-to-one meeting with Biden.  That likely emboldened him.

The question is, what should the GOP do if they have majorities in the Senate and the House following the midterms?

Firstly, they must ensure that a thorough cognitive test of Joe Biden is conducted and that the results be made public.  Perhaps Dr. Jackson can administer the test in the presence of Biden's team of doctors.

If Biden were to fail those tests, there are two choices to relieve Biden from his duties.

The first is the invocation of the 25th Amendment.  Under the 25th Amendment, which has never been used previously, the vice president and the majority of the president's Cabinet determine that the president is no longer fit for office.  Congress then approves that process by a two-thirds vote in both chambers.

Sen. Rick Scott has made such a suggestion following Biden's Afghanistan catastrophe.

But Kamala and the Cabinet are unlikely to initiate such proceedings.

The next choice is impeachment.

An impeachment and a conviction is probably the only way to force Biden out of his office.  This will create President Kamala Harris.

Next, the GOP impeaches and convicts Harris, too.  The presidency is then in the hands of the speaker of the House.  What if Donald J. Trump is elected speaker of the House?

A great hypothesis, but far-fetched.

It's impossible that the GOP would convict Biden in the Senate with the likes of Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell around.

The only realistic choice seems to be an impeachment in Congress for symbolic reasons.

But unlike Trump's two impeachments, the GOP have other reasons, besides his cognitive impairments.

Among them is Biden willfully violating federal immigration laws by throwing open the border.  Also, there's Biden's conflict of interest while dealing with China and Ukraine owing to his son's shady deals with the two countries.  The catastrophe in Afghanistan can also be used as a reason.

To have a president who suffers from cognitive impairments such that he is managed by handlers is a vile affront and a mockery of democracy.

Reliving him from his duties is a way to save the U.S. representative democracy.  It will be an act of compassion to relieve Biden from this torture so he can lead a peaceful life in retirement.

Alas, that is unlikely to occur, and hence, the U.S. and the world have to suffer the consequences.

Biden Curbed U.S. Energy Production, But Doesn't Sanction Russia's Energy Sector

(CNSNews.com) - "I guarantee you. We're going to end fossil fuel," then-presidential candidate Joe Biden said on the campaign trail in New Hampshire in September 2019.

And as soon as he took office, Biden canceled the Keystone pipeline and halted new oil and gas leasing on federal lands.

Biden is willing to curb U.S. oil and gas production, but even faced with Russian aggression, he's leaving Russia's energy sector alone.

"You know, in our (Russia) sanctions package, we specifically designed (it) to allow energy payments to continue," Biden told Americans on Thursday:

"We are closely monitoring energy supplies for any disruption. We have been coordinating with major oil producing and consuming countries toward our common interest to secure global energy supplies.

"We are actively working with countries around the world to elevate [he meant 'evaluate'] a collective release from the Strategic Petroleum Reserves of major energy-consuming countries.  And the United States will release additional barrels of oil as conditions warrant.

"I know this is hard and that Americans are already hurting. I will do everything in my power to limit the pain the American people are feeling at the gas pump. This is critical to me."

Yet, the Biden administration has said nothing about increasing U.S. fossil fuel production or reversing some of the president's own energy-crimping policies.

WH economist: U.S. sanctions 'not designed' to disrupt Russia's energy output

"Today, we imposed an unprecedented package of financial sanctions and export restrictions in lockstep with our allies and partners that will isolate Russia from the global financial system, shut down its access to cutting-edge technology, and undercut Putin’s strategic ambitions to diversify and modernize his economy," Daleep Singh told a White House press conference on Thursday, several hours after Biden spoke.

Singh, a deputy national security advisor, described the sanctions as "the most impactful and significant" the United States has ever imposed on a country. Yet they do not extend to Russia's main source of revenue -- its energy sector.

"We’ve intentionally scoped our sanctions to deliver severe impact on the Russian economy while minimizing the cost to the U.S., as well as our Allies and partners," Singh explained. "To be clear: Our sanctions are not designed to cause any disruption to the current flow of energy from Russia to the world."

Later in the briefing, Singh explained that the sanctions on Russia were designed to be "balanced, so that we can deliver overwhelming costs while not having unintended consequences. And so, that’s the — that’s the principle," he said.

Singh said the most "concentrated impact" is aimed at Russia's foreign capital and cutting-edge technology:

"When it comes to energy -- this is the one area...where Russia has systemic importance in the global economy. We know it’s the second-largest natural gas producer in the world.  It’s also the second-largest crude oil producer in the world.

"That’s not to say that we have a dependence on Russia; Russia depends on those revenues just as much as the world needs its energy.

But we’re not going to — we’re not going to do anything which causes an unintended disruption to the flow of energy, as the global economic recovery is still underway."

A reporter asked Singh, "Just to follow up...the targeting of the Russian energy industry is totally off the table. Is that what you're saying, Daleep?"

"What I’m saying is that our measures were not designed to disrupt in any way the current flow of energy from Russia to the world," Singh replied.

"Now, we have also said we are going to cut off Russia’s access to cutting-edge technology.  That technology can be used across many sectors.  And so, as it relates to Russia’s long-term productive capacity, we are seeking to degrade that capacity, but nothing — nothing in the short term, as it relates to energy."

According to the U.S. Energy Information Agency, "Russia was the world’s third-largest producer of petroleum and other liquids (after the United States and Saudi Arabia) in 2020; and second-largest producer of dry natural gas in 2020 (second to the United States).

"Europe is Russia’s main market for its oil and natural gas exports, and by extension, Europe is its main source for revenues."

And according to Forbes, "The United States imported more gasoline and other refined petroleum products from Russia than any other country in 2021...In 2021, Russia accounted for 21% of all U.S. gasoline imports, with Canada second at 17%."
