Too many people in our government are essentially American oligarchs. They use politics, not for their country’s advancement, but for their own. The Ukraine War Can't Save Biden

Since Russia invaded the Ukraine, the U.S. news media has focused nearly exclusively on the war underway.  Wars are attention-grabbers, so news coverage makes sense.  Certainly, a war of aggression by nuclear-armed Russia in Europe merits significant coverage, though we can do without the snap analyses, ridiculous speculation based on sketchy or false reports, and warmongering.  

Domestic news coverage has been light.  There’s been some reporting on blue states and cities ending ludicrous mask mandates, except for kids five and younger in New York City.  Those poor kids will still have to wear unsanitary obedience rags at school.  Hikes in gas prices get mentioned.  Turbulence in the stock markets gets a word.  Otherwise, it’s Ukraine 24/7.

But that won’t last.  And it’s silly to think that the war has distracted Americans from the country’s festering domestic woes.  Sillier still is the idea that the Russia-Ukraine conflict is Biden’s means of offloading the troubles he’s created.  Biden and his hapless White House handlers would surely love to pin Biden’s across-the-board failures on a distant war.  But a majority of Americans aren’t suckers.      

Come November, provided Biden and his crack team haven’t blundered us into war with Russia -- never discount Biden’s knack for sheer incompetence -- voters are poised to deliver a slap-down to Democrats that rivals or surpasses the whippin’ Democrats received in the 2010 midterms.  Let’s add the proviso that if the elections are honest.  Mail-in balloting is opened to all sorts of mischief.    

In 2010, Obama’s vaunted charisma failed to blunt not only massive Democrat losses in the U.S. House (the GOP picked up 63 seats, the most since 1948), while ceding five seats and the majority to the GOP in the U.S. Senate, but Democrats dropped six governorships and hundreds of state legislative seats.  An argument can be made that 2010 was the beginning of a creeping realignment. 

The crew at the Last Refuge (AKA Conservative Treehouse) says that the Ukrainian conflict was “manufactured” as a means of foisting Biden-made woes onto that war.  They’re persuaded that voters are being duped.  From a February 28 article at the Last Refuge:

The manufactured Russia-Ukraine crisis now becomes the cover story for why the U.S. economy is collapsing.  The pain being felt by middle class, blue-collar workers is now shifted to be an outcome of geopolitical events that are Vladimir Putin’s fault. It’s always someone else’s fault.

And then this take:

Do not underestimate how many people in the U.S. will buy into this nonsense, and keep in mind the Republican wing of the UniParty has a vested interest in allowing the narrative to embed in the psyche of voters.  Both wings of the DC vulture will help promote this fraud, just as both wings of the DC uniparty sold out our Main Street economy on behalf of their multinational benefactors.

I’m certainly more receptive today to the idea of conspiracies in politics than I was prior to Donald Trump’s ascendency (The Russia Collusion Hoax is as real as it gets, and let’s hope John Durham actually rolls up indictments, including the biggest fish in the Clinton campaign).

For the sake of discussion, let’s accept that the Russia-Ukraine war is a diversion enabled by higher ups in the executive branch to dump Biden’s domestic troubles onto Putin and the crisis in Ukraine.  Putin was baited into war.  Then we’re to accept that voters -- let’s specify a majority -- will be conned into absolving Biden of blame for growing domestic difficulties.  

But here’s why that argument doesn’t wash, conspiracy or not: Biden’s troubles began on his first day in office, which predate the Russia-Ukraine war by better than a year. 

One of Biden’s first acts was to put the kibosh on the Keystone XL pipeline followed by clamping down on oil and gas exploration and drilling leases on federal lands.  Biden has often publicly ballyhooed inane green energy goals for the nation.  As a candidate, he even said: “I guarantee you. We're going to end fossil fuel.” 

A majority of voters aren’t buying that the nation’s energy price spikes -- evident not only at gas pumps, but in grocery stores and in the costs of home heating, etc. -- only began this past February with the Ukraine crisis.  The facts are too well established for people to be so easily tricked. 

Moreover, importantly, all politics are local and personal.  Middle- and working-class Americans are seeing their paychecks shrink daily as their family budgets continue to stretch.  That’s happened for many months now.  Don’t forget that the median household income is a modest $62,000.  Certainly, families with yearly incomes higher than $62 thousand are feeling the energy driven inflation bite, too.  Inflation is also rising due to profligate federal spending and unconscionable money-printing by the Federal Reserve.

Americans get that it was Biden, not Putin, who ended U.S. energy independence.  Blaming the Russia-Ukraine war for any oil and gas supply disruptions and higher prices only blows back on Biden.  He can't escape the responsibility for making the U.S. vulnerable to foreign suppliers, be it the Russians or Saudis or -- unbelievably -- Iranians. 

Are most voters so gullible as to believe that the ongoing supply chain issues are Putin’s handiwork, too?  Or are a majority of Americans fairly well apprised that Biden and the glib incompetent that he appointed U.S. Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg are to blame for failing to smartly address supply chain challenges?      

How will Democrats hang the dissolution of the U.S.-Mexican border on Putin and the war?  Not incidentally, Biden and his handlers opened up the southern border as a matter of policy, not from bungling incompetence.  It was deliberate because Democrats have had a longstanding aim of creating new, dependent constituencies for their political benefit.  The left has long desired to “transform” the U.S. into a Third World dystopia. 

Voters will ask why Biden is eager to defend Ukraine’s borders but not our own. 

Unless the polling is cockeyed, Americans strongly oppose Biden’s border policy.  Those waves of illegals are impacting communities across the country, as Biden violates his oath of office by transporting them to communities far from the southern border.  Come November, voters will blame Biden and Democrats for that, not Vlad Putin and his fellow Russian oligarchs.

As of March 7, Rasmussen Reports staked Biden to a 44 approve/54 disapprove overall.  Drill down deeper and Biden’s numbers among the “strongly approve” and “strongly disapprove” bode ill for Democrats this November.  Only 23% of respondents strongly approve Biden’s job performance, while 45% strongly disapprove.  Intensity matters when it comes to voter motivation.

An earlier (February 22) Trafalgar Group survey shows an even worse picture for Biden and Democrats.  In that poll, Biden is strongly approved by 22% of likely voters while 52% strongly disapprove.  Whether you want to go with the Trafalgar Group numbers or Rasmussen Reports’ findings, for Democrats, it’s a matter of picking their poison.

Biden’s approval numbers actually represent an uptick in his support.  Count that as an anomaly, a small bubble that will burst in the coming months.  Why?  The troubles that Biden created won’t disappear.    

As always, we have to issue a qualification: November is still a long way off, and much can transpire between now and then to change political fortunes.  But the betting is that the nation’s difficulties will only worsen, and that voter perceptions -- bolstered by hard facts -- of Biden and his Democrats are too deeply ingrained for a majority to suddenly do an about-face.  And as much as Democrat spinners and their propagandist allies in the establishment media may try, they won’t succeed in hanging Biden’s abysmal performance on Vladimir Putin.

Just 35 percent of voters approve of President Biden following his State of the Union address, a Thursday Civiqs poll found.

Biden’s slumping approval rating is weighed down by independent voters. Overall, only 24 percent of independents approved of Biden, while 64 percent disapproved.

Broken down by race, just 40 percent of independent black voters supported Biden. Twenty-four percent of white independents approved, and 21 percent of independent Hispanics approved of Biden.

In every state in the nation, Biden’s approval rating is negative among independents. Only 20 percent of independents in California, 30 percent in Vermont, and 21 percent in New York approved of Biden.

The polling comes after Biden delivered the State of the Union address on Tuesday in which he tried to reassure the nation.

“I want you to know that we are going to be okay,” Biden promised. “We’re going to be okay.”

But Biden’s reassurance has not come across in the polls.

A Rasmussen Reports survey released Thursday found 54 percent of respondents believe Biden’s response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine has been ineffective. Breitbart News reported:

The survey, which asked respondents, “How effective has President Joe Biden’s response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine been so far?” found a majority, 54 percent, deeming the president’s response ineffective. Of those, 30 percent said his response is “not at all effective,” followed by 24 percent who said “not very effective.” 

Both Republicans and independents, 73 percent and 63 percent, respectively, say Biden’s response has not been effective, but most Democrats, 65 percent, believe it has been.

In recent weeks, it seems Biden has spent more time protecting the Ukraine border than America’s southern border.

Ron Johnson: ‘President Biden Is Dramatically, Seriously Compromised’

During an appearance on FBN’s “Mornings with Maria,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) warned the turmoil in the world, including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, was underway, there are still unresolved issues about President Joe Biden’s business dealings with Russia and China.

Johnson described Biden as “dramatically, seriously compromised.”

“That’s my concern,” he said. “We don’t know all of his foreign financial entanglements. We’ve certainly shown the indication of the advanced web of them. But I’ll tell you who does know: Russian intelligence, Chinese intelligence. Is that why he lifted the sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which again was one of the factors emboldening and tempting Putin to invade Ukraine? What does China know? Is that why he canceled the China initiative, to make sure they don’t steal our intellectual property from our university systems?”

“Again, I think Tony Bobulinski was right,” Johnson added. “President Biden is dramatically, seriously compromised. We just don’t know to what extent.”

Biden's Tough Guy Talk on US Corporations Cozying Up to China Is Just That...Talk

The Biden Administration knows how to talk the talk on China, but it certainly doesn’t know how to walk the walk.

For proof of the administration’s tough talk, look no further than when reporters recently asked the White House about SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk opening a showroom in China’s Xinjiang region. That’s the area where over a million Uyghur Muslims are believed to be detained against their will in re-education camps.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki left no doubt about what seemed to be the Biden Administration’s tough stance against this latest move from Musk, a repeat China offender.

“We’ve been clear about our views on the ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang,” Psaki said. “Companies that fail to address forced labor in their supply chains and other human rights abuses face serious legal, reputational, and customer risk.”

With that kind of resolve, it’s easy to imagine the Chinese government and any U.S. company thinking of doing business with China quaking at the thought of the severe consequences. The trouble is, China and its business partners know the Biden White House has hardly been consistent.

On Feb. 23, the administration ended the U.S. initiative to stop espionage from the Chinese Communist Party despite the fact that the CCP continues to spy on Americans at a disturbing pace.

And it doesn’t end there. 

Although the Biden Administration signed Sen. Marco Rubio’s Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act into law, it reportedly wanted to weaken it. "While the administration supports the legislation in public, [it asked] Democrats to essentially water it down in private," according to The Washington Post. 

At the same time, the administration also allowed U.S. athletes to participate in the recently concluded Beijing Winter Olympics. Even though the U.S. did not send diplomats or official representatives to China for the event, that symbolic boycott didn’t accomplish much since U.S. Olympic athletes and their sponsors were still involved.

The hypocrisy of Psaki and other administration officials condemning U.S. companies for doing business in China while the executive branch continues to help lavish positive attention to the nation and its brutal communist government is undeniable.

So it’s no wonder that what Sen. Rubio categorizes as “nationless” American companies, like Musk’s Tesla, continue to do business in China generally – and the Xinjiang region specifically. They know that the White House’s talk is cheap and that, despite its signing of legislation that signals the contrary, there will be no real consequences for doing so.

While Musk and Tesla are the most recent example of a U.S. company cozying up to China, they are far from the only ones. Nike and Coca-Cola were “among the major companies and business groups lobbying Congress to weaken a bill that would ban imported goods made with forced labor in China’s Xinjiang region,” according to The New York Times.

In July 2021, Reuters reported that a congressional commission “has called on Hilton Worldwide not to allow its name to be associated with a hotel project on the site of a mosque bulldozed by authorities in China’s Xinjiang region, where Washington says minority Muslims have been victims of genocide.” The Biden Administration said nothing.

The irony of the Biden Administration reluctantly signing the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act into law while continuing to silently weaken enforcement mechanisms against the country and prop up the communist regime is not lost on the Uyghur population. Uyghur restaurant owner Hamid Kerim told Fox News he could not watch the Olympics “because it reminds him of his brother and sister-in-law who are imprisoned in his home of Xinjiang.”

“If I watch this Olympics, in my eyes I can see my brothers, my sister, my nation, and my motherland,” Kerim said. “His very difficult life in jail. Very difficult life in camp, very difficult life in cheap labor factory. … So, I think this Olympics is [the] genocide Olympics; this is no normal Olympics.”

None of this is breaking news to all of those who are familiar with President Biden’s record. As Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) aptly put it in a recent Senate Floor speech, “This is no surprise given the fact that Joe Biden has been soft on China for 50 years.”

When he was vice president, Biden said, “a rising China is a positive development not only for China, but for America and the world writ large.” During his run for president, Biden said China was not a threat to the United States. At a campaign stop, he said, “they're not bad folks....They're not competition for us.”

So, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that nationless U.S. corporations continue to run wild in China under his reign.

At the highest level of government, they know they have an ally — and that’s as big of a national security problem as they come.

Peter Schweizer’s ‘Red-Handed’ Hits #1 on New York Times Bestseller List for 4th Week

Peter Schweizer’s blockbuster new book Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win has landed at number one on the New York Times bestseller list for a fourth week since its release by HarperCollins, after dropping to number two on the list last week.

Schweizer, whose past books have sparked an FBI investigation and exposed congressional insider trading that spearheaded groundbreaking legislation, has called the revelations in Red-Handed the “scariest” of his quarter-century career investigating corruption.

As the book’s subtitle states, Red-Handed exposes the vast complicity of elites – from politicians to diplomats to business, tech, and entertainment tycoons – who have enriched themselves by advancing the interests of China’s communist regime.

Schweizer, who is the president of the nonpartisan Government Accountability Institute (GAI) and a Breitbart News senior contributor, spent over a year conducting the research for Red-Handed with his team of forensic investigators at GAI, combing through a trove of financial and corporate records. The book contains 1,093 endnotes and 81 pages of source material with no off-the-record sources, making it easier for federal law enforcement and U.S. intelligence services to track down the book’s bombshell revelations.

Last month, U.S. House Republicans introduced the “Stop CCP Act” to impose sanctions on Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials, including Chinese dictator Xi Jinping and his family, Breitbart reported last moth. The legislative proposal comes on the heels of the shocking revelations in Schweizer’s book.

Leaders on Capitol Hill — including Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) — are also calling for Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel to investigate the revelations in Red-Handed concerning President Joe Biden’s family members’ business dealings with individuals with direct ties to the highest levels of China’s spy apparatus.

The New York Post’s editorial board echoed these calls in an op-ed headlined, “Appoint a special counsel on Hunter Biden—now.”

Schweizer’s track record investigating both Republicans and Democrats is well-established, winning him a unique mix of bipartisan praise for his investigative work from both the left and the right. After the release of Schweizer’s bestselling Clinton Cash, liberal columnist Eleanor Clift called Schweizer “an equal-opportunity investigator, snaring Republicans as well as Democrats.” Clift added: “It’s a mistake for the Clinton campaign to write off conservative author Peter Schweizer as a right-wing hack. It won’t work, and it’s not true.” Similarly, Harvard Law School Professor Lawrence Lessing wrote that “on any fair reading, the pattern of behavior that Schweizer has charged is corruption.”

Schweizer is also the author of Throw Them All Out, which, according to left-leaning Slate, was “the book that started the STOCK Act stampede.” The bipartisan STOCK Act (Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge) banned insider trading by members of Congress and was signed into law by President Barack Obama on April 4, 2012. The legislation received overwhelming support from both parties. One of the main figures featured in Schweizer’s Throw Them All Out, then-chairman of the House Financial Services Committee Spencer Bachus (R-AL), announced he would not seek reelection after the book’s reporting. CBS’s 60 Minutes did an investigative report on Schweizer’s revelations that won them the Joan Shorenstein Barone Award for excellence in Washington-based journalism.

Justice Department Ends Initiative Aimed at Chinese Espionage over Concerns of Racism

The Biden Justice Department is ending an initiative aimed at Chinese espionage and intellectual property theft over concerns it created a perception of racism, according to a top official on Wednesday.

Assistant Attorney General for National Security Matthew Olsen announced during a speech at George Mason University that the department was scrapping its China Initiative, even though an internal review found no indication of racial bias or prejudice.

Olsen said, according to a transcript of his speech:

We have heard concerns from the civil rights community that the ‘China Initiative’ fueled a narrative of intolerance and bias. To many, that narrative suggests that the Justice Department treats people from China or of Chinese descent differently. The rise in anti-Asian hate crime and hate incidents only heightens these concerns. The Department is keenly aware of this threat and is enhancing efforts to combat acts of hate.

He said there were also increasing concerns from the academic and scientific community about research grant fraud cases, which included cases where individuals allegedly did not disclose financial ties to China.

“We have heard that these prosecutions — and the public narrative they create — can lead to a chilling atmosphere for scientists and scholars that damages the scientific enterprise in this country,” Olsen said.

“Safeguarding the integrity and transparency of research institutions is a matter of national security. But so is ensuring that we continue to attract the best and the brightest researchers and scholars to our country from all around the world,” he added.

Although he said the China Initiative was driven by “genuine national security concerns,” by grouping cases under the China Initiative rubric, “We helped give rise to a harmful perception” the Department views those with Chinese ties “differently.”

Olsen said the DOJ is replacing the initiative with a “broader approach.”

The Trump administration launched the China Initiative in 2018, aimed at countering Chinese espionage efforts that included paying professors at American universities for access to research funded by U.S. government grants.

Democrat lawmakers applauded the decision. Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA), chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, said the program had caused harm “to our communities.”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, slammed the DOJ’s decision.

He said in a statement, “The CCP has stolen trillions of dollars of American intellectual property, destroyed millions of American jobs, and turned students and researchers studying in the United States into foreign spies. Yet today, the Biden administration announced it’s cancelling the initiative tasked with combatting the Chinese government’s unprecedented domestic sabotage and aggression because they claim it’s racist. Cancelling this initiative is just another instance of weakness from an administration more concerned with being politically correct than protecting Americans. And you can be sure our adversaries are watching.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton told Breitbart News that the Chinese Communist Party may be “the biggest threat to America’s freedom, even — it’s hard to say this — even more than the Biden administration.”

In an interview on Breitbart News Saturday, Paxton touched on his office’s efforts to combat the Biden administration’s radical immigration agenda and what could be done about the CCP’s influence on American politics.

Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle opened the interview talking about former President Donald Trump’s Saturday night rally in Conroe, Texas, where Paxton is scheduled to speak.

“I think what you look for is a surprise. You never know exactly what he’s gonna say. But I certainly know he’s gonna highlight the last year of the Biden administration,” Paxton said when asked what could be expected at tonight’s rally. “And the disaster, whether it’s Afghanistan, whether it’s the border, whether it’s inflation, whether it’s supply chain, whether it’s crime, you name it. Everything has gone the wrong way for the American people in the Biden Administration.”

Paxton then said he often asks his Democrat friends to name at least one thing that has been good for Americans during Biden’s first year in office, but they have zero examples.

Boyle next touched on the lawsuits that Paxton and other Republican attorneys general have filed to combat the Biden administration’s radical left agenda.

“Yeah, it’s shocking that I would say this, but we have 27 lawsuits right now with the Biden administration. We’ve been successful in over 90% of those,” Paxton said. He then talked about a summit he held with 12 Republican attorneys general this week at the nation’s southern border.

“Everybody that comes cross border obviously pays the cartels and so I got to show firsthand to these Republican attorney generals, just how bad it is and how really, there are no border states. Every state is a border state.”

Paxton mentioned how the night before his border summit, federal officials canceled the scheduled briefings they were supposed to give the Republican AGs.

“What was interesting is we had set up all these briefings from our state police, who did give us a briefing from local officials. And then also from border patrol, who we love working with, great men and women, and then also ICE,” he said. “And unfortunately, the Biden Administration, somebody in Washington the night before these Republicans were going to be there. cancelled all the briefings.”

Boyle then asked Paxton to discuss the criteria he looks for when determining which Biden policy to challenge in federal court.

“So what we often look at is, is the Biden administration doing something in direct violation of the federal law, in direct violation of their constitutional role?” Paxton said. He went on to talk about the most recent lawsuit filed by himself and other Republican AGs challenging the Central American Minors Refugee and Parole Program, which allows asylum seekers in America to import certain family members into the country from their home country.

“And so we’ve sued the Biden Administration some just yesterday. And the reason we did was because there is nothing in federal law, there’s nothing that Congress has authorized that allows the Biden administration to use taxpayer dollars to invite family members of these people claiming asylum to come into the country.”

Boyle, who noted that statewide AG races are some of the most important elections to vote in, asked Paxton to put in context the importance of voters electing the proper attorney general.

Paxton recently decided to run for his third term as Texas AG because he “felt like we were in a crisis in our country.”

“We have a president who’s rogue, who isn’t following the Constitution. And I have these people running against me who have no experience doing this job,” Paxton said. “And even the roles they had before, they didn’t demonstrate that ability to stand up and fight the fight.”

Paxton said the AG position “may be the difference between preserving our freedoms, protecting our Constitution, giving the American people the opportunity to continue to make their own decisions, instead of having a federal government say, ‘you have a vaccine or we’re gonna fire you, we’re gonna ruin the border and ruin the country.’”

Boyle wrapped up the interview talking about Breitbart News senior contributor Peter Schweizer’s new Book, Red-Handed, which exposes the Biden family’s financial ties to the Chinese Communist Party. He asked Paxton if the AG’s office could do anything to prevent Chinese influence on American politics.

“You know, I have the same concern you do. I think the Chinese Communists are maybe the biggest threat to America’s freedom, even — it’s hard to say this — even more than the Biden administration,” Paxton said. “And the fact that there may be collusion and the fact that some of Biden’s family and other members of his administration may have these connections with the Chinese is extremely concerning.”

Paxton said Republican AGs are looking at ways to combat China’s influence, but noted that it is novel because the federal government typically protects us from foreign threats.

“So yes, we are looking at ways to try to have an impact on the Chinese communists in our state, but it’s difficult because normally that’s associated with the federal government, protecting us from international threats, not in individual states,” he explained. “And so we’re all looking at that, all of the Republican attorney generals, but it’s a new area for us. And it may be one that we have to sort of feel our way around in as we move forward because we all do have concerns about what’s going on with China.”

Rep. Hartzler Introduces Bill to Prohibit CCP Members and Their Kids From Attending U.S. Universities

(CNS News) -- Given the totalitarian nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its frequent espionage against the United States, House Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.) has introduced legislation that would prohibit CCP members and their family members from obtaining the visas necessary to study at a U.S. college or university. 

“While the CCP commits genocide and other atrocities, they continue to send their children to the United States to receive a world-class education. This must be stopped,” Hartzler said in a statement. 

“The Protecting Higher Education from the Chinese Communist Party Act puts an end to this practice, effectively halting the advancement of those who are actively working to undermine our nation," she added.

The bill, introduced by Hartzler on Feb. 16, is entitled, "Protecting Higher Education from the Chinese Communist Party Act of 2022."

The legislation is three pages and, in part, states that a foreigner (alien) may not receive a visa under subparagraph (F) or (J) [student visas] of the Immigration and Nationality Act if the person is,

"(1) a member of the Chinese Communist Party (hereinafter referred to as the ‘‘CCP’’) who has served on the National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party or other position, including—

"(A) General Secretary of the CCP; (B) a member of the Secretariat of the CCP; (C) a member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee; (D) a member of the Political Bureau of the CCP Central Committee; (E) a member of the CCP Central Committee; (F) a member of the Central Military Commission; (G) a member of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection; or (H) a member of the National People’s Congress; or (2) a family member of a person described in paragraph (1)."

Exceptions may be made if the president of the United States or his designee "certifies in writing to the appropriate congressional committees that such waiver is in the national security interest of the United States."

"During the 2020/2021 academic year, there were over 317,000 international students from China studying in the United States – including family members of CCP officials," said Hartzler.  "Xi Mingzhe, the daughter of General Secretary Xi Jinping, previously completed her undergraduate degree at Harvard in 2014 and re-enrolled for graduate studies in 2019."

“We have to realize that China has a plan for world domination,” said Rep. Hartzler in a recent interview on NTD’s Capitol Report. “It sounds like some Hollywood movie; that’s the reality.”

“We shouldn’t be aiding and abetting those who want to do us harm," she added.  "It’s just wrong."

Since the communists took of China in 1949-50, more than 65 million people have been killed there for political reasons, according to The Black Book of Communism (Harvard University Press).

Today, the Chinese regime operates concentration camps where an estimated 1.5 million Uyghur Muslims are held. According to numerous western media, prisoners in the camps are tortured, raped, executed, and have their body organs harvested, among other atrocities. 

"America's world class university system has become a soft target in the global espionage war with China, intelligence officials say — and they are pressing universities to do something about it," reported NBC News. 

"A lot of our ideas, technology, research, innovation is incubated on those university campuses," Bill Evanina, the top counterintelligence official in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, told NBC. "That's where the science and technology originates — and that's why it's the most prime place to steal."

The deal would impose no review of human rights and impose no conditions for democratic reforms, supervised multi-party elections and such. All that, and more, is already a done deal with China, like the USSR a one-party Communist dictatorship that never produced a single product the United States needs. Schweizer added, “We also now know that Hunter Biden did these deals, but the larger family benefited. We know that James Biden, Joe Biden’s brother, got at least $2 million of that money from China. We also now know that Hunter Biden was subsidizing his father’s lifestyle. He was paying for his bills. He was paying for renovations on his home up in Delaware while Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States. It’s not only illegal according to ethics laws. It also shows that Joe Biden is now a beneficiary of the foreign dealings that Hunter Biden has had. It’s no longer good enough for him to say, well, I didn’t have anything involved. He was a beneficiary.”



For 20 years, through three election cycles, Feinstein maintained on her staff a Chinese spy who would even attend consular functions for the California Democrat. One wonders what the FBI knew, when they knew it, and what they did about it, if anything.

Other politicians with China business connections include Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi, whose husband has conducted a series of deals in the Communist nation. It is hard to find words to describe the debauched and sleazy satyr that is Hunter Biden and how he used his family name and his father’s status as an important American politician to become an extraordinary international grifter involved in multi-million dollar -- sometimes billion -- dollar deals with international entities that included corrupt criminal enterprises such as Burisma Holdings of the Ukraine and the government- and military-controlled companies of Russia and China, international enemies of the United States.

His business activities and lifestyle were revealed on the laptop he left in a Wilmington, Delaware Mac computer repair shop owned by a Mr. Isaac, who took possession after Hunter failed to pick it up after 90 days.  Mr. Isaac had already fixed the water damage and looked at the contents, found discussions about Burisma (the Ukrainian oil and gas company) so he arranged through his father, a retired Air Force Colonel, to turn the laptop over to the FBI in Arizona. 

Mr. Isaac kept a hard drive copy to protect himself.  Then he made some inquiries after the FBI failed to do anything.  The inquiry that was most productive was to Rudy Giuliani, who was Trump’s personal attorney and very interested in the Burisma matter.  Mr. G had an old DOJ colleague named Costello from his federal prosecutor days who was an IT expert, and the hard drive was analyzed.  Then in October it was presented to the New York Post for the bombshell it was -- proof of Hunter’s grifting and also proof that Joe Biden lied when he claimed he didn’t know anything about Hunter’s international machinations involving corrupt Ukrainians and nefarious Chinese and Russian autocrats/plutocrats.

The plot thickened as the Post did its due diligence.  A full court press was initiated to suppress and censor the Post publication of the laptop materials in October of 2020, the run up to the election and the interval in the debates being held between Trump and Biden. 

Biden denied Trump’s accusations about corruption and influence peddling.  Former CIA director John Brennan organized a letter by deep state intelligence doyens who claimed it was just Russian disinformation and the major social media banned the Post and anyone who quoted Post stories about the laptop. 

The scandal of a lifetime -- son of a president selling his name and living a despoiled life of excess -- sidling up to Russian and Chinese on deals involving millions -- while living the life of a depraved sex fiend and cocaine/alcohol abuser. 

My opinion is that if Hunter’s choice of drugs had leaned more to opiates he would be dead.  But instead the president’s scion lived the manic life of a cocaine addict bouncing in and out of rehab and even prompting repeat inquiries from his father about his situation, with the implication that Joe Biden was hesitant to run for president if Hunter was on the streets of the world hustling foreign investment deals, whoring, drinking, throwing money around and smoking crack cocaine.

Is that a mouthful -- Joe Biden, head of a corrupt enterprise -- proof of Joe’s sharing of Hunters ill-gotten gains, trying to keep Hunter from blowing up his presidential ambitions.  Imagine, a presidential candidate involved in an intervention of his addict son who was traveling the world selling the family name with his father’s support and approval.  At one point the Chinese patron Hunter was taking money from and working on investments with even offered Hunter a side/back door deal of 10 million dollars just for “introductions” and “access,’’ certainly nothing more than selling the Biden name as a door opener.

The book revealing the details of the decadent life and dirty deals has been written by the New York Post’s journalist Miranda Devine about one year after Joe Biden was supposedly elected president of the United States.  Here we are, and like the people trying to expose the election fraud, Ms. Devine is working uphill against a media and political army intent on burying the scandal and censoring the journalists who would expose the vile degenerate corrupt wickedness of Hunter and the enabling and complicit behavior of so many in the family’s close political circle of important and not so important players, 

Laptop From Hell covers the life of the Biden family and focuses on the life of Hunter during the period of time exposed in the laptop: 2005 to 2020.  Robert Hunter Biden was the third child of Joe Biden, born in 1970.  In 1972 when Hunter was almost 3 his mother and younger sister were killed in a truck car crash when his mother ran a stop sign -- they were not struck by a drunk driver as Joe Biden has claimed so many times.  Hunter and Beau, his older brother were injured, Hunter with a head injury, and Joe Biden was sworn in as a newly elected and very young US Senator in the hospital room where the boys were recuperating.

The death of his mother and elective office of his father aside, Hunter had an unremarkable childhood, graduated Georgetown with a history degree and did religious volunteer work for a year before entering Georgetown Law after failing to get admission to Yale.   He was advised a transfer would be available after Georgetown, and was accepted and graduated Yale Law in 1996, becoming an attorney for a bank and credit card company in Delaware, MBNA.  Delaware is and was the most corporate and bank/credit card company friendly state in the nation.  MBNA has been a major contributor to the Joe Biden campaigns.  In two years, he was executive vice president then he went to the Clinton administration Dept. of Commerce until Bush became president and then he became a lobbyist but quit lobbying when his father was elected Vice President.

From 2006 forward, Hunter was active in investment banking with a focus on natural resource extraction and technology.  A sequence of investment entities were formed, first with Uncle James, then with Devon Archer (now in prison for fraud) and Chris Heinz (yes, Ketchup heir Chris, who dropped out because of concern about the appearance of influence peddling). 

Hunter’s China connections started with a discounted stake in a China investment company, and that was  followed with multiple Chinese generated arrangements built on his father’s status as Vice President, Air Force Two and other visits with Chinese asset managers that were always connected to the Bank of China and Chicom political and military leaders/autocrats.  The lifestyle depicted from the laptop shows that a lot of big money flowed to Hunter during those years, from China and other sources, like Burisma, that paid him $83 K a month to be on the board until Joe Biden stepped down after the 2016 election and then Burisma reduced the monthly to $40 K plus.

Laptop from Hell puts on display the personal life of a sociopath -- whoring, partying, blowing gigantic amounts of money on expensive hotels, toys, clothes, cars, homes -- excesses that can only be marveled at along with mistreatment of friends, associates, family, involvement in criminal and immoral nihilistic behavior.  Hunter is a monument to bad parenting -- so he is exhibit one for the case that Joe and Jill Biden are their own form of sociopath -- sociopathic behavior runs in families for a reason.

When you read the book, a very good story of vile and vicious degeneracy and decadence for sure, consider this description from Psychology Today:

People with antisocial personality disorder may seem charming on the surface, but they are likely to be irritable and aggressive as well as irresponsible. Due to their manipulative tendencies, it may be difficult to tell whether they are lying or telling the truth.

The diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder is not given to individuals under the age of 18. However, ASPD symptoms will first appear in childhood or adolescence and may garner a diagnosis of conduct disorder during that time. Antisocial personality disorder is much more common in males than in females. The highest prevalence of antisocial personality disorder is found among males who abuse alcohol or drugs or who are in prisons or other forensic settings

Peter Schweizer’s blockbuster new book Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win has landed at number one on the New York Times bestseller list for a fourth week since its release by HarperCollins, after dropping to number two on the list last week.

Schweizer, whose past books have sparked an FBI investigation and exposed congressional insider trading that spearheaded groundbreaking legislation, has called the revelations in Red-Handed the “scariest” of his quarter-century career investigating corruption.

As the book’s subtitle states, Red-Handed exposes the vast complicity of elites – from politicians to diplomats to business, tech, and entertainment tycoons – who have enriched themselves by advancing the interests of China’s communist regime.

Schweizer, who is the president of the nonpartisan Government Accountability Institute (GAI) and a Breitbart News senior contributor, spent over a year conducting the research for Red-Handed with his team of forensic investigators at GAI, combing through a trove of financial and corporate records. The book contains 1,093 endnotes and 81 pages of source material with no off-the-record sources, making it easier for federal law enforcement and U.S. intelligence services to track down the book’s bombshell revelations.

Last month, U.S. House Republicans introduced the “Stop CCP Act” to impose sanctions on Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials, including Chinese dictator Xi Jinping and his family, Breitbart reported last moth. The legislative proposal comes on the heels of the shocking revelations in Schweizer’s book.

Leaders on Capitol Hill — including Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) — are also calling for Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel to investigate the revelations in Red-Handed concerning President Joe Biden’s family members’ business dealings with individuals with direct ties to the highest levels of China’s spy apparatus.

The New York Post’s editorial board echoed these calls in an op-ed headlined, “Appoint a special counsel on Hunter Biden—now.”

Schweizer’s track record investigating both Republicans and Democrats is well-established, winning him a unique mix of bipartisan praise for his investigative work from both the left and the right. After the release of Schweizer’s bestselling Clinton Cash, liberal columnist Eleanor Clift called Schweizer “an equal-opportunity investigator, snaring Republicans as well as Democrats.” Clift added: “It’s a mistake for the Clinton campaign to write off conservative author Peter Schweizer as a right-wing hack. It won’t work, and it’s not true.” Similarly, Harvard Law School Professor Lawrence Lessing wrote that “on any fair reading, the pattern of behavior that Schweizer has charged is corruption.”

Schweizer is also the author of Throw Them All Out, which, according to left-leaning Slate, was “the book that started the STOCK Act stampede.” The bipartisan STOCK Act (Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge) banned insider trading by members of Congress and was signed into law by President Barack Obama on April 4, 2012. The legislation received overwhelming support from both parties. One of the main figures featured in Schweizer’s Throw Them All Out, then-chairman of the House Financial Services Committee Spencer Bachus (R-AL), announced he would not seek reelection after the book’s reporting. Nancy Pelosi’s son, Paul, seems to have an affinity for corrupt business people

Over 2,500 years ago, Aesop moralized, “A man is known by the company he keeps.” By that metric, although Nancy Pelosi’s son, Paul Pelosi, Jr., has never been charged with a crime, I’m not sure I’d leave him in a room with my silverware. I say that because I’ve just read the Daily Mail exclusive report noting that Paul has been involved in five companies probed by federal agencies for fraud and other serious financial crimes.

 Pelosi Jr.’s links to alleged lawbreakers include:

· The 52-year-old joined the board of a biofuel company after it defrauded investors according to an SEC ruling, and whose CEO was convicted after bribing Georgia officials

· Pelosi Jr. was president of an environmental investment firm that turned out to be a front for two convicted fraudsters

· He joined a lithium mining company and received millions of shares, allegedly issued as part of a massive $164 million fraud

· He was vice president of a company previously embroiled in an investigation of scam calls that targeted senior citizens

· He has close business ties with a man accused by the Department of Justice of running a fake UN charity that stole investors’ money

· A medical company Pelosi Jr. worked for tested drugs on people without FDA authorization, according to an FDA investigation

The long article spells out the details of those corrupt businesses and businessmen. And in a striking echo of Hunter Biden’s career, the Daily Mail adds,

But sources close to the Democrat power broker's son – and even Pelosi Jr. himself – admit that some of his business dealings may have arisen from savvy entrepreneurs hiring him in an attempt to curry favor with his powerful family.

Moreover, like Hunter, Paul was unqualified for the lucrative jobs that came his way:

Though [he claimed to be] frugal, Pelosi Jr. certainly wasn’t strapped for cash in February 2007, he had just landed a $180,000 job as Senior Vice President at data company InfoUSA, despite already holding a full-time position as a home loan officer at Countrywide Home Loans in San Mateo and having no experience in database marketing.

 

The company was run by major Democrat donor Vinod Gupta, who had been embroiled in a criminal investigation by the Iowa Attorney General’s Office since 2004.

Investigators claimed that between 2001 and 2004 InfoUSA knowingly sold millions of consumers’ data to fraudsters who used the information to scam the elderly, stripping some of their life savings.

In other words, Paul brought nothing to the table but his mother’s connections and his father’s staggering wealth (which was probably helped greatly by Nancy Pelosi feeling free to buy and sell stocks even though her political actions affected the market).

Too many people in our government are essentially American oligarchs. They use politics, not for their country’s advancement, but for their own. Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi both have enriched themselves and their families while leaving Americans in worse condition with every passing year. I sincerely hope these morally bankrupt people aren’t the political leaders America deserves because, if that’s true, America has turned into a pathetic, utterly corrupt, third-world oligarchy.

Josh Hawley Plan Bans Congress from Trading Stocks: ‘Stop Turning Blind Eye to Washington Profiteering’

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) says lawmakers must “stop turning a blind eye to Washington profiteering” and finally ban members of Congress from holding or trading individual stocks.

Last month, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) stated that Congress and their family members should not be banned from trading stocks because “we’re a free market economy.” The remark came after it was revealed that 54 Republicans and Democrats in Congress failed to properly disclose their transactions in accordance with Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act.

Those lawmakers include Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), as well as Reps. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY), and Pete Sessions (R-TX), among others.

This week, Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) said lawmakers are undoubtedly influenced by their stocks when it comes to legislation and the industries they are supposed to be regulating like Wall Street and giant tech conglomerates.

In response, Hawley has filed legislation, the Banning Insider Trading in Congress Act, that would ban members of Congress and their spouses from holding or trading stocks.

“Year after year, politicians somehow manage to outperform the market, buying and selling millions in stocks of companies they’re supposed to be regulating,” Hawley said:

Wall Street and Big Tech work hand-in-hand with elected officials to enrich each other at the expense of the country. Here’s something we can do: ban all members of Congress from trading stocks and force those who do to pay their proceeds back to the American people. It’s time to stop turning a blind eye to Washington profiteering. [Emphasis added]

Among other provisions, Hawley legislation would prohibit lawmakers and their spouses from holding, acquiring, or selling stocks during their time in office. The plan also sets in place a time period of six months that lawmakers and their spouses would have to divest prohibited holdings after taking office.

If any member of Congress or their spouse violated the policy, they would be required to forfeit any investment profits to American taxpayers through the United States Treasury Department.

“Members who violate the requirements will also lose the ability to deduct the losses of those investments on their income taxes,” a description of the policy states. “The ethics committees of Congress may levy additional fines and will publicize violations.”

This week, the watchdog organization Unusual Whales revealed that, on average, members of Congress beat the market in 2021 with its hundreds of millions of dollars in stock trades. Those who faired the best were Reps. Austin Scott (R-GA), Brian Mast (R-FL), French Hill (R-AR), John Curtis (R-UT), Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

 

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is said to be considering plans to file legislation that would ban members of Congress and their spouses from trading stocks while in office.

Banning members of Congress from trading stocks is hugely popular among Americans. A recent Trafalgar Group survey revealed that 76 percent of Americans believe lawmakers have an “unfair advantage” when it comes to the stock market. Only five percent support permitting the practice.

IT BEGINS: HarperCollins Readying Release of Peter Schweizer Blockbuster Investigation

Politico Playbook exclusively reported Wednesday that publishing giant HarperCollins is preparing to release the next investigative bombshell book by six-time New York Times bestselling author Peter Schweizer titled Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win.

Red-Handed remains under a strict embargo until its January 25 release date.

The book’s cover, which Politico obtained a copy of, features photos of President Joe Biden and Chinese Communist Party Leader Xi Jinping, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), former House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), LeBron James, Elon Musk, Henry Kissinger, and Bill Gates. According to Politico, Red-Handed will “expose bad actors on both ends of the political spectrum and their willingness to do China’s bidding.”

Given the bestselling author’s investigative track record, the book’s subjects may have cause for concern. Peter Schweizer’s Clinton Cash sparked an FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation. His last two books, Profiles in Corruption and Secret Empires, each hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and exposed how Hunter Biden and Joe Biden flew aboard Air Force Two in 2013 to China before Hunter’s firm inked a $1.5 billion deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China just 10 days after the trip.

Biden, for instance, had sought to include tax cuts for his billionaire donors in a Chinese coronavirus relief package earlier this year. The plan was ultimately cut from the package. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), in May 2020, also tried to include the plan in a coronavirus relief package.

 

 

 Stench of corruption: Nancy Pelosi buys Big Tech call options

Nancy Pelosi has grown very rich while in public office. She's amassed a reported $120 million fortune on a $223,500 annual congressional salary.

And like Hillary Clinton, she's an expert stock picker. In her case, she trades a lot on stocks of companies she writes the laws for, and somehow, it always seems to go her way.

Last year, her pick was Tesla. This year? All about Big Tech.

She's laying the money down. According to Mediaite:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) placed up to $3 million in bets this month on a handful of companies to succeed in 2022 — including Google, SalesForce, and Disney.

Pelosi and her husband, Paul Pelosi, put the money on call options in the four-day period from Dec. 17-21, according to disclosures made public on Thursday by the House Clerk. Their largest investment was for call options for SalesForce, valued at $500,000 to $1.250 million. The  options came with a strike price of $210 on Jan. 20, 2023, compared to $65 as of Dec. 29. Google ranked as their second-highest investment, with $500,000-$1 million for calls at a strike price of $2,000 on Sept. 16, 2022, compared to $109 on Thursday.

Other investments included $250,000-$500,000 on call options for Micron Technology, at a strike price of $50 on Sept. 16, 2022; the same amount for calls on Roblox, at a price of $100 on Jan. 20, 2023; and $100,000-$250,000 for calls on Disney at $130 on Sept. 16, 2022.

The disclosures, which members of Congress are required to file, reveal monetary ranges for their investments, but not exact figures.

The Pelosis, both 81, have developed a reputation for prophetic ability when it comes to picking stocks. Their trades last made headlines in January, when they purchased between $500,000 and $1 million in call options in Tesla at a strike price of $500. That stock hit a new historical high last month in excess of $1,200.

To explain those options -- what she's betting is that a company like Google's stock price is going to rise and be at a certain level. When she buys an option, she's buying a derivative that gives her the right, but not obligation, to purchase that stock at a certain "strike price," meaning, she thinks everyone else is going to have to buy it at a higher price. That's where the money is to be made. In the case of Google, she's betting the price of a share of that company will be well above what it is now (currently at around $2,900 today) by the strike price date of Sept. 16, 2022. But she will have the right to buy it cheaper, which should be very profitable should she decide to sell it afterwards. For instance, and to take a hypothetical example, if the share price of Google goes up to $3,000, and she exercises her call option to buy her share at $2,000, well, she can then sell the share at a $1,000 profit, which is a nice piece of cake. The price of the call option is not the same as the price of the stock since it's a derivative of the stock. According to Investopedia:

 

The price difference between the underlying stock price and the strike price determines an option's value. For buyers of a call option, if the strike price is above the underlying stock price, the option is out of the money (OTM). In this case, the option doesn't have intrinsic value, but it may still have value based on volatility and time until expiration as either of these two factors could put the option in the money in the future. Conversely, If the underlying stock price is above the strike price, the option will have intrinsic value and be in the money.

And according to Mediaite:

A $2,000 call, versus a previous $109 call price? She obviously thinks Google is in for some good times.

By some estimate, Pelosi and her husband made a 45.59 percent return on stocks last year, along with a 66.7 percent return on options trading. 

Most fund managers would kill to make those kinds of returns. These are comparable the kinds of profits only art geniuses such as Hunter Biden can make on their 'output,' while real artists make quite a bit less.

And sure enough, the New York Post has reported that Pelosi herself is blocking legislation that would force Google and some of the other tech baronies to level their playing fields on commercial search results. The Post ran this on Nov. 4:

As a bipartisan group of Washington lawmakers mounts a battle to rein in Big Tech, some insiders say it faces a formidable and possibly surprising obstacle: Nancy Pelosi.

The 81-year-old Democratic House majority leader has made symbolic gestures to defy Silicon Valley such as refusing to take calls from Mark Zuckerberg and declaring 2019 that “the era of self-regulation is over.”

Nevertheless, insiders say she’s slow-walking legislation, including a so-called “non-discrimination bill” that would put a major dent in tech firms including Google and Amazon. The proposal would prohibit the practice of the companies giving their own products favorable treatment in search results.

The bill — sponsored by Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) and Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) — was one of six that passed the House Judiciary Committee in June. A nearly-identical companion bill sponsored by Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) was introduced last month in the Senate and is gaining steam. 

Which sounds a little funny, now that Pelosi is laying money down on where she thinks the price of Google's stock is going to be.

Pelosi herself has defended these smelly moves, the idea of congress members trading on stocks in industries they make laws for as the work of "free-market economy" (free for whom?) while the tech barons at Twitter have banned a popular Twitter page called Nancy Pelosi Portfolio Tracker, or @NancyTracker which must have bothered Pelosi mightily.

Now we see one last galloping call in favor of Big Tech, which she is all to willing to go to bat for in Congress, and given Big Tech's heavy-handed censorship and other manipulations of the 2020 U.S. election, she obviously owes political favors to.

See how this works? She ought to be forced by a bipartisan group of Squadsters and Republicans to hold a vote on the measure she's blocking this year. And come November, Republicans at the helm should put a stop to this kind of activity, and send in the special counsels to investigate these curious investing activities of Pelosi's. It ought to be Item A on the agenda.
