Florida Teacher Molested 14-Year-Old, Masturbated While Video Chatting with Students, Authorities Say
A Florida high school history teacher has been arrested for having sexual correspondence with two female students, aged 18 and 14, and allegedly molesting the 14-year-old at the school, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Warning: This Story Contains Disturbing Details.
On Thursday, the PCSO arrested 39-year-old Derek Stribling of Lakeland hours after receiving word of his sexually explicit messages, WTSP reported. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd noted that Stribling is a history teacher, dean of students, basketball coach, and life-management coach at Crossroads Christian School in Lakeland, according to a press conference shared by WTVT.
The 18-year-old girl, identified by Judd as “Victim Number One,” was one of Stribling’s students at the school and informed investigators that on Valentine’s Day, the 39-year-old teacher requested her phone number, authorities said. “He reportedly told her he could check up on her following an argument she had with her dad, investigators said,” according to WTSP.
“Stribling told the victim that she had a ‘D’ in his class, and she could get extra credit to help her grades,” the sheriff’s office told the outlet via email. “He initiated a sexual conversation via text and on the FaceTime app.”
Investigators said Stribling pleasured himself while showing the student his private regions. He also attempted to get the 18-year-old to meet him for oral sex in a hotel parking lot, but the student refused to go, the PCSO said. Judd said she declined because he was married.
“Isn’t that amazing?” Judd asked reporters. “So he used his position as her teacher and her low grade as the nexus, and they talked the nasty.”
The 18-year-old communicated with a 16-year-old, identified as “Victim Number Two,” who told Victim Number One that Stribling “did the same stuff with her” when she was 14 years old, Judd said.
“The nasty video clips, the inappropriate behavior, the sexual content, and on one occasion, and I’m not gonna stutter here, the suspect kissed and fondled the 14-year-old at the school in the equipment closet about two years ago,” Judd explained at the press conference.
Investigators say the educator, who was Victim Number Two’s basketball coach, asked her to meet him in the closet.
“The victim said that Stribling began kissing her while rubbing her breast and buttocks over her clothing,” the sheriff’s office told WTSP. “She also reported that he began communicating with her via the Snapchat app and text messaging, and he called her twice via video chat in which he showed himself masturbating.”
She refused to meet Stribling when he allegedly attempted to meet the child so he could molest her, the child said, according to the PCSO.
He is charged with lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim older than 12 years old but younger than 16 years old by a person over 18 years of age, lewd and lascivious conduct, two counts of a sex offense on a student by an authority figure, and transmitting harmful material to a minor, online inmate records show. He has made bail for $90,000, according to the records.
“We really, really, really fear there are other victims out there like this 16-year-old that were afraid, that didn’t report it, that think ‘well maybe I did some haha fun fun talk’ – no, that’s not alright,” Judd said. “He’s in a position of authority over her and them. We truly believe, based on his pattern and conduct, there very well may be other victims and we want to know about that.”
President Rich Wead of Children’s Educational Services, which runs the Crossroads Christian School, told WTSP that Stribling, who started his employment at the school in August 2019, was fired Friday morning. He noted that all employees complete background checks and undergo vetting, adding that the school takes the allegations seriously. He declined to comment further to protect the students, their families, and the investigation’s integrity, WTSP said.

Police: NYC Man Stabbed in Head During ‘Unprovoked Attack’
A man in his 30s was stabbed in the head during an “unprovoked attack” Sunday in Lower Manhattan, according to police, as crime in New York City grows.
“The attack happened around 2:45 a.m. in front of 425 Broome Street when the victim was approached from behind by a person who plunged a sharp object into his head, cops said,” the New York Post reported.
A photo showed police officers at the scene:
Meanwhile, overall index crime in the city spiked 36.5 percent in March compared to the same month last year as the state’s bail laws began affecting the 2022 gubernatorial race:
In 2019, New York’s disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) signed legislation into law allowing “suspects accused of second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, child sex crimes, and making threats of terrorism to walk free from jail without ever having to post bail,” Breitbart News reported.
“Coinciding with the state law is New York City’s Supervised Release Program, which allows thousands of criminal suspects to be released following their arrests without having to post bail or be monitored by social workers,” Breitbart News continued.
Last week, some New York City teenagers were on the run after allegedly assaulting a man on the subway by slashing his forehead.
The suspects were believed to be between 16 and 17 years old.
“Transit crime in the Big Apple has seen an alarming rise in 2022 under the leadership of Mayor Eric Adams (D). From January 1 through April 3, transit crimes climbed 62.5 percent compared to the same period in 2021,” Breitbart News reported.
Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), a gubernatorial candidate in New York, recently criticized the state’s bail reform laws.
“Instead of handcuffing our criminals we’re handcuffing justice, we’re handcuffing our judges, we’re handcuffing police, we’re cuffing law abiding New Yorkers in order to secure our streets we have to put community way over criminals,” Zeldin commented.
Per the Post report, the victim was transported to the hospital and listed in serious but stable condition.

The weekend’s second fatal shooting was occurred around 2:20 a.m. Saturday “in the driveway of a home in the 9500 block of South Sangamon Street.” A 17-year-old was standing in the driveway and was shot in the chest. He was transported to a hospital where he died.
A 40-year-old man was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting Sunday morning “in the 300 block of South Kilbourn Avenue.” The shooting occurred just before 3:30 p.m.
Nineteen people were shot last weekend in Chicago and one of those shooting victims succumbed to their wounds.
The Sun-Times reports 143 people were killed in Chicago January 1, 2022, through April 10, 2022.

THE LAST THING AMERICA NEEDS IS ONE MORE VIOLENT BLACK MAN WITH A GUN.
Police in DeKalb County, Georgia, were called in 2019 when the rapper allegedly tossed a bottle that later tested positive for traces of the illegal drug codeine. He was also found with an illegal gun in his car when he was arrested.
Rapper 21 Savage’s Immigration Status Still Undetermined Until Criminal Case is Cleared
UK-born rapper 21 Savage’s legal team say his immigration fight is on hold as he faces gun and drug charges.
U.S. immigration officials state the now 29-year-old rapper’s legal immigration visa expired in 2006 when he was a teenager and his mother — who brought him to the U.S. from Britain — never renewed it. Therefore, the U.S. government has targeted him for return to the UK.
The loudly anti-Trump rapper has been fighting against the deportation order for three years. But now that case has been paused as he faces more pressing matters stemming from his arrest in 2019 on drug and gun charges.
Police in DeKalb County, Georgia, were called in 2019 when the rapper allegedly tossed a bottle that later tested positive for traces of the illegal drug codeine. He was also found with an illegal gun in his car when he was arrested.
The rapper was arrested only days after trashing President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. However, the Dekalb D.A. did not officially charge Savage until 2021.
21’s immigration attorney Charles Kuck told TMZ the fight against deportation has been set aside while the singer faces the other, more serious charges.
Regardless, attorney Kuck claims the gun and drug charges and the immigration case are just an example of the “harassment” his client faces from the government.
“Last night’s manufactured charges are yet another example of how our justice system, from ICE down to the local level, unjustly targets young Black men who seek to exercise their rights,” Kuck said when Savage turned himself in to the police last September. “There is no legitimate basis for these charges nor for ICE’s continued antics, and we will fight until Mr. Joseph is justly vindicated.”
Kuck noted that the rapper is still working at festivals and can travel inside the U.S. as his cases wind their way through the courts. But if he were to leave the U.S.A. he would not be able to return because of his lapsed visa.
Savage has also been heard insisting that all illegals should be given automatic citizenship.

Police: Suspect Gropes Woman on NYC Train Until Citizen Intervenes
A suspect allegedly groped a woman riding a Manhattan train but backed off when another person stepped in, authorities told the New York Post.
“The 26-year-old victim was standing on the southbound Q train platform at the 34th Street-Herald Square station around 5 p.m. Sunday when a stranger approached her and tried to strike up a conversation, but she ignored him, cops said,” the outlet reported Thursday.
On the train, the man took a seat next to the woman and then allegedly fondled her breasts, inner thighs, and calves.
“The victim told the perv not to touch her, and another passenger came to her assistance,” the Post report said, adding the suspect then moved but remained on the train until it reached Prospect Park station.
In a social media post, the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers shared a photo of the suspect wearing a black coat with fur trim, saying there is a reward of up to $3500 and urging citizens with additional information to contact them:
The incident happened as overall index crime in New York City rose 36.5 percent in March compared to March of last year as the state’s bail laws affect the 2022 gubernatorial race, according to Breitbart News.
Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), a gubernatorial candidate, recently criticized the state’s bail reform laws.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a man was slashed with a box cutter inside a Manhattan subway station when the victim, who was reportedly in his 40s, was arguing with another individual at the scene.
Per the recent incident, authorities are still searching for the suspect who was last seen wearing the parka, jeans, and a pair of red tennis shoes.
