A recent report reveals that a lobbying group funded by Facebook has been planting stories in newspapers across the United States in an effort to manipulate the media and fight big tech regulation.
A report from the Washington Post reveals that a political advocacy group called American Edge was secretly funded by Facebook (now known as Meta) and has been manipulating news narratives by placing stories in newspapers across the United States. American Edge aimed to oppose Senate-backed antitrust legislation that attempted to reign in the Big Tech Masters of the Universe.

American Edge commissioned studies, placed op-eds in newspapers, and worked with minority business associations, former national security officials, and conservative groups to push back against the bill. In sponsored ads, American Edge focused on people’s fear of cybersecurity attacks from Russia and China, echoing arguments made by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
American Edge accused lawmakers of having a “misguided agenda,” and wanting to “take away the technology we use every day,” while alleging that the antitrust bill would negatively affect small business owners. The group reportedly specifically kept mention of Facebook away from its argument in an effort to hide the company’s involvement with the lobbying group.
A source who spoke to the Washington Post stated: “Facebook can’t be the messenger. If we are out there saying it, people won’t believe it as much, so the conversation is how can you set up a proxy.”
In the weeks following the Senate’s passing of the American Innovation and Choice Online Act in January, American Edge launched a campaign against the legislation. The lobbying group released an ad featuring Clayton Stanley, President and CEO of Mississippi-based economic development organization The Alliance, in which he accused lawmakers of “weakening American technology, threatening jobs and making the U.S. economy more dependent on China.”
Another ad focused on the war in Ukraine and included a warning from national security officials that both Russia and China could gain a “technological edge” on the West as an “unintended consequence” of antitrust regulation.

Facebook is at it again—censoring the (Christian) victims of violence and sexual abuse while covering up for their (Muslim) abusers.
A few months ago, I wrote about how Facebook had variously “punished” and censored me for writing about the Muslim persecution of Christians. The only explanation the “social media giant” gave was that I had offended its “standards.”
If there were still any ambiguity as to Facebook’s true motivation, consider the following story which was reported by ReMix earlier this year:
A UK-based Catholic charity has accused Facebook of censoring its campaign to protect Christian women who have been exposed to violence in predominantly Muslim countries.
Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) had launched a digital campaign in November to raise awareness of the violence often experienced by persecuted Catholic women in Islamic countries, and had chosen to spend money on Facebook to promote its posts.
However, the social media giant opted to severely restrict the organization’s ability to publish adverts online on Facebook, whilst simultaneously banning the charity from its affiliated platforms, Instagram and WhatsApp.

The campaign had been directed towards United Nations authorities and the UK government, and had included a report titled Hear Her Cries which detailed the acts of sexual violence committed against Christian women in Muslim-dominated countries such as Nigeria, Mozambique, Iraq, Egypt, Pakistan and Syria.
For the record, the plight of Christian women in Muslim nations is, indeed, deplorable. That is because they suffer from a “double whammy”: they’re both women andinfidels. Thus, in the words of a 2018 report dealing with the Muslim persecution of Christians, “The most significant findings were that Christian women are among the most violated in the world, in maybe a way that we haven’t seen before.” Six women were raped every day simply for being Christian, the report found.
Unfortunately, more and more women are the target of [Muslim] terrorist groups. There are numerous international incidents of women being kidnapped, raped, and forced to convert from Christianity to Islam by radical extremist groups.... Many are also sold on the open market. This brutality is not only occurring in the Middle East but in Africa and in many other places. In many of these countries, women are subject to persecution because they are considered second-class citizens because of their gender. As minorities in both gender and faith, Christian women face double the persecution. Although we don't have an exact number, we know that millions of women are being persecuted.... In these Muslim-dominated countries, Christian women are systematically deprived of their freedom to live and are denied basic human necessities.
Despite this pandemic that plagues the Islamic world, Facebook has decided that such information must be censored or heavily curtailed. As the ReMix report continues:
Facebook restricted the ACN’s [Aid to the Church in Need’s] campaign by 90 percent in November, explaining to the charity that it had taken the measures to limit the charity’s reach due to a number of users reporting the ads as “offensive, misleading, sexually inappropriate” or “violent.”
For the record, openly libeling organizations or websites that specialize in exposing and seeking to redress ongoing atrocities committed against Christian minorities as “pornography” is an old, communist tactic. According to Brother Andrew, author of the bestselling God’s Smuggler, that’s exactly what the Soviet Union labeled and confiscated smuggled Bibles as—pornography (p.227). Indeed, and as discussed here, “Big Tech” has used the very same tactic against me—banning my website, which is largely dedicated to exposing the persecution of Christians under Islam, on the claim that it is “pornographic”.
The Remix report concludes:
[T]he tech giant has not yet lifted any of the constraints imposed on the organization [ACN], and has repeatedly refused to explain exactly how the adverts violated its guidelines, despite numerous requests by ACN to do so.
“We are horrified,” said the director of the UK branch of Aid to the Church in Need, Neville Kyrke-Smith, in an official statement, “that our campaign which aims to help suffering women has been censored in such a draconian manner. By claiming to have banned our advert for violating its guidelines, but refusing to say which guidelines or how, Facebook have made themselves judge, jury and executioner.”
Meanwhile, censoring the victims of Islamic violence and abuse is only half of the problem. The other half, which few know about, is that Facebook and other social media and big tech do not censor Muslim hate speech and calls to violence—even calls to behead Christians—so long as such talk only appears in Arabic or other non-Western languages, thereby largely shielding it from non-Muslim eyes.
Update: More evidence of Facebook’s discriminatory policies continue to surface. Most recently, according to a PJ Media report titled “Facebook Blocks Christian Children’s Book Publisher From Advertising”:

The goal of tyrants, dictators, and oppressive governments is to gain power and then stay in power. They largely do this by controlling information -- the information available and who has access to it. Information is power, and tyrants use information to gain power. So, for a king or dictator etc. to gain power and stay in control, they tried to monopolize information. Throughout most of history, that was an easy task because there were few books and few people could read. There was no radio, TV, internet, or libraries. For the vast majority, the Bible, Quran, etc. was the single source of information. If it wasn’t in the Bible, you didn’t need to know it. The king, caliph, etc. would tell you what you needed to know, and that was it.
That changed with the rise of modern society. Education and increased literacy, printing of books, radio, TV, and the internet provided information to billions of people. However, tyrants and oppressive regimes still managed to control the information available to their citizens. State-sponsored media in countries like the Soviet Union, North Korea, China, Turkey, and Iran insured the people heard only what the government allowed. All other information was labeled “disinformation” and was banned. Facts that made the government look bad were banned as dangerous misinformation, were not allowed to be disseminated, and became a crime to share.
An example of “facts are a crime” is the Armenian (and Christian) massacre by Turkey during WW I. Over 1 million were killed in that genocide. Yet, in Turkey, it’s a crime to teach that Armenians were massacred. The fact that genocide occurred is suppressed, ignored, and criminalized to the point where most Turks have never heard of it; or, if they have, they call it disinformation. Same thing in North Korea, a country totally cut off from the outside world such that the people only know what their government tells them. The old Soviet Union’s leading paper was called Pravda. The Soviets told Pravda exactly what to publish -- disinformation (lies) that was positive toward communism and misinformation (more lies) about the United States and the West, all to keep the people ignorant of the truth.
Americans are smug about the information we receive, knowing that our information isn’t censored. How naïve, how quaint, how 20th century! Reminds me of a comment from a Chinese citizen when he asked, “You Americans actually believe your media?” Excellent observation in question form. He couldn’t understand how Americans, seemingly intelligent, would still believe our media or government. If someone lies to you time and time again (i.e. Joe Biden), and you know they’re lying; how or why would you continue to believe that person or that source of information?
Leftists in America have long been enthralled with communists, tyrants, and dictators; largely because those regimes control information, and thus control the people. The NY Times ran praise pieces of the Soviet Union under Stalin by “journalists” held spellbound by communism. Bernie Sanders loved communism so much that he honeymooned (1988) in the Soviet Union. Obama had a Chairman Mao Christmas ornament on the White House tree. Don’t forget when Obama praised Cuba in his 2016 visit to that communist nation. When Venezuela descended into a Marxist hellhole of poverty and corruption, American Leftists adored Hugo Chavez. So, it’s no surprise that Biden (and his Democrat regime) would emulate communists and control information with his newly formed Disinformation Governance Board (DGB), headed by Nina Jankowicz, under the Department of Homeland Security.
The DGB is as Orwellian as it sounds. It will attempt to eliminate “disinformation” by censoring and silencing opposing viewpoints, by labelling them as misinformation. Jankowicz is absolutely perfect for the position. In Oct 2020, the NY Post ran a devastating factual article about Hunter Biden’s laptop with emails that directly linked the Biden family (including Joe) to corruption in Ukraine and China. Well, Jankowicz tagged the article as “disinformation” while it was censored by Twitter, Facebook, the NY Times, and all other media. A 100% accurate and true story about Biden’s corruption was completely silenced, only weeks before the election. The only lie, the only misinformation was supplied by the establishment media when they lied about the true story. Now, Biden and the Dems have formalized the process of silencing information they don’t like by calling it “disinformation,” which means it can be censored and eliminated. After all, your government knows better than you what is accurate or not. Biden’s leftist agenda will be advanced because it’s truthful and accurate which, by definition, means that any opposition is not truthful and will be silenced. See how that works?
Let’s use an example. When Anthony Fauci said that masks didn’t prevent the spread of COVID and shouldn’t be worn; if the DGB had been in existence, it would have silenced and censored all other points of view as disinformation. Then, weeks later, when Fauci said we must wear masks to prevent the spread of COVID, the DGB would immediately go to work to ensure the new “masks must be worn” narrative as the only information allowed. Another example, you think there’s a crisis at the border with thousands of illegals entering every day. Wrong. Biden says there is no crisis; the border is under control which means his message is allowed on Twitter while yours is censored and silenced as disinformation. To continue with disinformation that must be silenced, gas is at record high prices due to Biden’s policies and war on petroleum. Biden claims spiking gas prices are due to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Biden’s claim is a lie but the DGB will censor and silence voices that oppose his narrative by labelling opposition as disinformation. The DGB will ensure the Democrat, Leftist, Biden narrative is advanced. Other viewpoints will be silenced.
Of course, the DCB is un-American; of course, it’s anti-1st Amendment; of course, it’s illegal. What are you going to do about it? Complain to Joe Biden? Call Senator Raphael Warnock, Senator Jon Ossoff, Rep. Sanford Bishop, or Stacey Abrams? Seriously? They agree with Biden 100% of the time. What about Merrick Garland, the attorney general? The DGB could only be formed with his approval. If there’s a single Democrat who disapproves of the Disinformation Governance Board, at any level of government, in the media, or in Hollywood they are completely silent. They have censored themselves, which is exactly what the Dems want -- to control information so they can stay in power.
As the world was buffeted by a coronavirus tsunami leaving forced lockdowns, supply-chain problems, economic upheaval, and poverty in its wake, globalist financial elites “have had a terrific pandemic” according to a report released Monday.

These are some of the main points from Oxfam’s latest report, Inequality Kills, which has been released as global business leaders meet virtually this week for the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.
“We have a situation where 10 men hold more wealth than that of two-thirds of humanity,” Lyn Morgain, chief executive of Oxfam Australia, told Australia’s ABC news outlet.
“Not only that, but that bottom 40 percent are hanging on by a thread.”
The report highlights what the charity says are “unprecedented” levels of global inequality as coronavirus sharpens the divide between “us and them,” the “haves and have nots.”

Hart Research Associates, a Democrat-run polling organization, released a poll taken from May 5-10 that asked voters about various issues as well as their general feeling about how the country is doing. The numbers are spectacularly grim for Joe Biden and the Democrat party generally. These numbers do two things: They bode well for Republicans taking over Congress in the midterm elections and they make Democrat cheating more difficult because it’s impossible for Democrats to have final outcomes that deviate too much from the mood of the country.
It's not a random opinion to say that Hart Research is a Democrat polling organization. Aside from general polls covering all sorts of business and social issues, the company describes Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group, the political division of Hart Research, as
[O]ne of the most respected and successful political polling firms in the country for Democratic candidates and progressive causes. [snip] Our history of accomplishments includes winning open seats, helping Democrats succeed in places that often vote Republican, electing women to statewide office, helping elect political newcomers, winning contested primaries, and winning initiative and referendum campaigns.
It was this group’s research that showed that, in battleground states, the phrase “MAGA Republican” was off-putting to voters. From that, Anita Dunn and the Center for American Progress Action Fund instructed the Biden administration to use the phrase “Ultra-MAGA.” It didn’t occur to them that, except for those who already hated the MAGA movement, others would find it complimentary and, moreover, that the idea of Trump as “King MAGA” would provide conservatives with a powerhouse meme.
My point in bringing up this information is that this group, even as it undoubtedly strives to be honest because of its professional reputation, may have a bias leaning toward Democrat success. That’s why it was amazing that its most recent poll showed that 75% ofall voters believe that the country under Joe Biden is heading in the wrong direction.
That number has been trending steadily downward since Biden’s first months in office (April 2021 was 56%, August was 63%, October was 71%, January 2022 was 72%, and March was 71%). As Scott Adams frequently (and wisely) says, it’s not just the numbers that matter, it’s the trajectory. Biden’s trajectory, as seen by how people feel about America during his administration, is disastrous.
Moreover, a majority of American adults blame Biden for their feeling about America in decline, with 56% disapproving of him. That’s bad. What’s worse is that the majority of those who disapprove do so strongly (45%) versus merely somewhat (11%). And again, if you look at the numbers since Biden took office, the trajectory has been straight down.
Indeed, 40% of those polled feel very negative just hearing the Biden name! It’s true that 42% feel negative when they hear Trump’s name but that’s actually a less interesting number. The media have been demonizing Donald Trump non-stop since 2015, castigating him as a racist, a Nazi, a rapist, a Russian stooge, a Russian activist, and an insurrectionist. Meanwhile, going back to 2008, the media have incessantly told Americans that Biden is a foreign policy expert, a unifier, a wise man, savvy, and the essence of normalcy. And despite that, huge numbers of Americans have developed a reflexive revulsion against him.
Even scarier for Democrats is the fact that those polled, when asked about the Republican party, have only a 29% very negative feelings about the party, while the numbers are very gently trending positive—and again, this is despite the media’s non-stop demonization of Republicans since Franklin Roosevelt’s administration. Meanwhile, 33% of Americans view the Democrat party very negatively, with very positive feelings dropping like a stone. (Kamala Harris gets a 36% for very negative.)
Voters are tied, 46%-46%, when it comes to which party controls Congress but, as Chuck Todd points out in the video below, that strongly indicates that Republicans will make strong mid-term gains.
The poll shows that abortion has become a matter of supreme importance to single-issue voters but the majority of voters still consider the really important issues to be the cost of living, the economy, and voting rights and election integrity. The war in Ukraine is low on the list and COVID is vanishingly low. As for those single-issue abortion voters, if they’re all in bright blue cities, they’re the same people who have always been fanatic Democrat voters, so they don’t reflect a meaningful shift in voter values.
All in all, Democrats have a lot to worry about. Meanwhile, the biggest challenge for Republicans is that they don’t form a circular firing squad and destroy themselves through internecine battles and sheer stupidity. They have a real knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Old Joe Biden’s new check-the-woke-boxes press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, is a Democrat, and so it comes as no great surprise that she sees racism absolutely everywhere, and I do mean everywhere: the New York Postreported Saturday that it “looked at Jean-Pierre’s tweets between 2015 and 2020 and found a staggering 57 instances where she accused people, policies, ideas, or words of being ‘racist.’ Also, Jean-Pierre accused people and ideas she was opposed to as ‘racist’ at least 43 times in TV appearances too.” That makes an even 100 accusations of racism or twenty per year; among Democrats today, that makes Jean-Pierre a moderate.
Jean-Pierre’s chief target, of course, was Donald Trump. Jean-Pierre tweeted in February 2019: “Yes, Donald Trump has been a racist his entire adult life. And, people still voted for him.” The new press secretary no doubt believes that people still voted for the allegedly racist Trump because of “systemic racism” in the United States, for she is also an enthusiastic proponent of critical race theory.
As far as Jean-Pierre is concerned, Trump’s racism is an active menace. “Donald Trump’s racist rhetoric is dangerous,” Jean-Pierre tweeted in July 2019 in response to a tweet from Obama aide Valerie Jarrett that said: “Not only is @IlhanMN a duly elected member of Congress, and an American citizen, but she is also a mom. What kind of person would put her and her family in harms [sic] way?” Jarrett was contending that Trump had put Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu) in harm’s way by criticizing her, in a manifestation of the increasingly common Leftist tendency to equate any speech criticizing Leftists with violence (as a prelude to and justification for silencing such criticism altogether).
Trump also never mentioned Omar’s race in anything he said about her, but for Jean-Pierre, his criticism was nonetheless “racist,” because essentially any criticism of a “person of color” is taken on the Left as “racism” except for criticism of non-Leftists such as Clarence Thomas and Candace Owens; criticism of black conservatives is neither racist nor incitement but a necessary expression of the prophetic voice of the marginalized. Are you getting the rules down now?
Jean-Pierre even claimed on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” in 2018, without bothering to produce a shred of evidence, that Trump was open about his racism and proud of it: “If it walks like a racist, talks like a racist, acts like a racist, it is a racist and we have a racist president in the White House who really pushes his racism like a peacock.” In January 2020, she repeated this, tweeting: “Donald Trump is the most outwardly racist President that we have seen in generations and African Americans voters aren’t blind to that. He uses his megaphone to divide people, spew racism, and give cover to white supremacists.” In 2016, Trump won six percent of the black vote; in 2020, this increased to eight percent.
Trump was by no means the only target of Jean-Pierre’s indiscriminate and counterfactual racism charges. Other “racists” she claimed to have identified included Steve Bannon, Sebastian Gorka, and Jeff Sessions, to whom she was especially vicious: in June 2018, she tweeted: “Let’s, be clear here- the ‘zero tolerance’ policy of ripping apart immigrant families is who Sessions is….this has been one of his life goals. Sessions views brown and black people as less than, not even human. Sessions is a bigot & a racist.” Also racist in Jean-Pierre’s view are Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Fox News, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), and many others.
To someone who has only a hammer, the old adage goes, every problem is a nail. To a contemporary Leftist steeped in the Left’s current prejudices, hatreds, and mythologies, everyone who opposes the Leftist agenda is a racist. Leftists have frequently demonstrated that for them, Leftism is essentially a religion: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Grey Goose) in April 2021 gave thanks to her god for laying down his life in a salvific sacrifice: “Thank you, George Floyd, for sacrificing your life for justice.” Catholic University displayed a painting of George Floyd as Jesus. The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) last October published a new hymn entitled “The Climate is Changing.” In September 2019, climate idolaters at Union Theological Seminary began worshipping potted plants as a “liturgical response to our climate crisis.”
Jean-Pierre’s reflexive charges of “racism” are also a manifestation of Leftism as a religion. The particular sect to which Jean-Pierre belongs is harshly dualistic, with the good – the people of color and their allies – on one side and the evil – the “racists” – on the other. There are no shades of gray. If you oppose the Left, you must ipso facto belong in the evil camp, and hence you are a racist. It’s a simple and all-encompassing worldview, admitting of no compromise, no concessions to the coterie of evil people: they must simply be destroyed, destroyed utterly. That the president’s handlers would choose someone with such an outlook to be press secretary sends a chill down the spine of every free American.
Only a minority of black people are anti-Semites, but those that are, are not lone wolves. They are not inventing the wheel. Rather, they are steeped in a significant cultural trend, a trend that persons of conscience will name, confront, analyze, and denounce.
Whose future, indeed? If we are to repel Black Lives Matter’s full-on assault on our values, institutions, and character, it will only be if all American patriots summon the kind of courageous, truth-telling resistance David Horowitz displays in his indispensable book I Can’t Breathe to expose and condemn the corrosive racial hoaxes perpetrated by BLM and the Democrat Party.

Leftists in America have long been enthralled with communists, tyrants, and dictators; largely because those regimes control information, and thus control the people. The NY Times ran praise pieces of the Soviet Union under Stalin by “journalists” held spellbound by communism. Bernie Sanders loved communism so much that he honeymooned (1988) in the Soviet Union. Obama had a Chairman Mao Christmas ornament on the White House tree. Don’t forget when Obama praised Cuba in his 2016 visit to that communist nation. When Venezuela descended into a Marxist hellhole of poverty and corruption, American Leftists adored Hugo Chavez. So, it’s no surprise that Biden (and his Democrat regime) would emulate communists and control information with his newly formed Disinformation Governance Board (DGB), headed by Nina Jankowicz, under the Department of Homeland Security.
