SABOTAGE OF HOMELAND SECURITY - GET THEM OVER THE BORDER AND SCATTERED BEFORE ANY CAN COUNT THEM - Republicans: Biden May Use Amtrak to Send Illegal Aliens to American Towns

Apple CEO Tim Cook, the architect of the multinational corporation’s China outsourcing scheme, was one of the biggest proponents of the amnesty for 4.4 million illegal aliens while Big Agriculture donors lobbied lawmakers to pass the farmworker amnesty (ONE-THIRD OF ALL FARM WORKERS END UP ON WELFARE AS SOON AS THE ANCHOR BABIES START COMING).

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) may use the taxpayer-funded Amtrak train service to transport border crossers and illegal aliens into the United States, House Republicans say.

Though Biden has been blocked by a federal judge from ending the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Title 42 authority at the U.S.-Mexico border, his administration has vowed to end the policy when and if they are given the green light.

The authority, first imposed by former President Trump in March 2020, allows Border Patrol agents to quickly return illegal aliens to Mexico. Already, Biden has ensured that DHS increasingly does not use Title 42 to immediately return illegal aliens.

In a letter to Amtrak officials this week, Republicans on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee warned that Biden may use Amtrak to transport border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities once Title 42 is ended.

The Republicans write:

We are concerned about the impact that a significantly greater border surge could cause to your services and the potential use of Amtrak in the Administration’s response to its self-created border crisis. [Emphasis added]

If Title 42 ends, causing an overwhelming migrant surge at the border, we are deeply concerned that Amtrak’s resources – especially those supporting the Sunset Limited route – will be used to transport these undocumented persons. Such a situation would cause disruptions for Amtrak customers as well as interrupt freight traffic that could further exacerbate the supply chain crisis. Such actions would also constitute an unconscionable use of significant amounts of taxpayer funds and resources to aid in the vast movement of illegal migrants into American communities. [Emphasis added]

Such a policy would add another vehicle of transportation for border crossers and illegal aliens enlisted in Biden’s expansive catch and release operation.

Currently, the Biden administration — with the help of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) like Catholic Charities and Jewish Family Services — buses and flies for free thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities every few days.

In cases where border crossers and illegal aliens are flown into the U.S. interior, the Biden administration has allowed nearly 1,000 to use arrest warrants and deportation orders as valid forms of identification to board domestic commercial flights.

From February 2021 to May 2022, more than a million border crossers and illegal aliens have been released into American communities by the Biden administration. Release figures for June and July have not yet been disclosed.

Today, most Americans believe there is “an invasion” at the southern border, as nearly 4.9 million are estimated to have arrived at the nation’s borders since Biden took office. with anywhere from 11 to 22 million illegal aliens already living in the U.S.

Judge Greenlights Lawsuit Against Biden Administration – Joe Gets Serious Backlash for the Ongoing Border Crisis

Judge Greenlights Lawsuit Against Biden Administration – Joe Gets Serious Backlash for the Ongoing Border Crisis

The ongoing border crisis just keeps grabbing headlines, as southern states and many citizens push back against the Biden administration’s lax approach.

Immediately after taking office, Biden reversed several of his predecessor’s border policies. This included stopping construction on the wall, as well as working toward ditching “Remain in Mexico.”

Since then, border authorities have reported historically high encounter and arrest numbers. And instead of fighting back, we’ve seen some moves by the White House that could only make things worse.

Now, though, one judge is allowing a border-related lawsuit to continue — and it might come as a surprise.

The left frequently pushes their climate agenda, and are quick to pounce on anything that might damage the environment. Ironically enough, this might just include the illegal immigration problem.

The Massachusetts Coalition for Immigration Reform filed suit against the Department of Homeland Security, Justice, and State, claiming they haven’t complied with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

And a judge just ruled that they absolutely have a case.

Via Washington Examiner:

A federal judge has allowed a lawsuit to continue that alleges the Biden administration’s move to stop Trump-era border wall projects and immigration policies has had a negative impact on the environment.

U.S. District Judge for the District of Columbia Trevor McFadden is a 2017 Trump appointee, and he ruled that the Coalition’s claim – that the “agencies’ disregard of NEPA caused environmental harm” – has merit.

The lawsuit claims that Biden didn’t realize the impacts his decisions would make on the southern border. Specifically, the constant flood of illegal migrants have had a tremendously negative effect.

Said CIS Director of Litigation Julie Axelrod (via the AP):

Resolving this question is long overdue.

The massive impacts of immigration to the U.S, including degradation to the southern borderlands, our infrastructure, urban sprawl, pollution, global carbon emissions, and all other environmental considerations have become impossible to sweep under the rug any longer.

When Biden stopped the final 350 miles of border wall projects, then halted “Remain in Mexico” (which the Supreme Court later ruled against), he was actually hurting the environment. This is the Coalition’s contention.

Liberals might have difficulty backing one side or the other in this case.

On the one hand, they don’t seem to have much problem with the border crisis but on the other, if it’s really causing irreparable harm to the environment, they can’t look away.

Now we’ll have to see what comes of this lawsuit, and if Republicans latch onto this news — they could use this environmental angle to turn the tables against Democrats in the border battle.

Key Takeaways:

  • A federal judge greenlit a lawsuit against Biden’s federal agencies.
  • The lawsuit alleges that Biden’s rescinding of border patrol policies has had a negative impact on the environment.
  • Plaintiffs claim the government has violated the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

150 Migrants Found in Mexico in Trailer Bound for Texas Border

Mexican government immigration officials found a group of 150 migrants locked inside a tractor-trailer headed to the Texas-Mexico border. Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents coordinated with the Mexican authorities to rescue the migrants from the life-threatening situation.

Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens tweeted photos showing a group of migrants huddled inside a tractor-trailer in Mexico. The sector worked with Mexican officials to find and stop the truck headed toward the U.S. border.

“This has proven to be a deadly tactic that smugglers use,” Chief Owens said in the tweet. “Luckily no one in this large group needed medical assistance.”

The tactic of loading migrants into these potential death traps is not new. Breitbart Texas reports extensively on the use by Mexican cartel-connected smugglers to move migrants into the U.S. interior. These smuggling efforts can have deadly consequences.

In June, a worker found 48 migrants dead in a tractor-trailer smuggling incident in San Antonio, Breitbart reported. Five additional migrants died in the following days from being locked in the sweltering heat in the trailer.

Among the dead were teenage migrants, KSAT reported. It is not known if they were accompanied or not. Four minors survived and were taken to area hospitals, officials reported in a Monday night press conference.

Earlier that month, local police agents found two migrants dead in a tractor-trailer loaded with 111 migrants, Breitbart Texas reported. La Salle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to frantic 911 calls from migrants being smuggled in a semi-tractor trailer near Encinal, Texas, on Friday. Dispatchers could hear screams from migrants trapped inside the closed trailer traveling north and away from the border on Interstate 35. When the vehicle was encountered, two migrants were dead and 111 were apprehended after an exhaustive search.

Nearly five years ago, San Antonio police found another tractor-trailer where eight migrants were dead and 20 others were listed in critical or serious condition.

Since the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was enacted and China entered the World Trade Organization (WTO), nearly five million American manufacturing jobs have been eliminated from the American economy — 3.4 million of which are due to U.S. free trade with China. The mass elimination of working- and middle-class jobs and depressed U.S. wages due to NAFTA and China’s entering the WTO have coincided with a 600 percent increase in trade deficits.

Americans are figuring out that they are being invaded

NPR/Ipsos released a poll last week addressing American views on immigration. The bottom line is that more than half of Americans believe that there is an invasion taking place at our southern border and that it’s bringing in lots of deadly, illegal drugs. They’re probably thinking this because we’re on track to have more than 2 million totally unvetted illegal immigrants in this country just in 2022 because we’re hearing about massive drug busts, because cartels are optimizing this human drag, because lots of people are overdosing, and because Greg Abbott’s clever plan of shipping immigrants to D.C. and New York City is working. But to NPR and Ipsos, all these Americans are victims of misinformation.

So, here’s the top line from the poll:

Over half of American adults believe it is either completely or somewhat true that the U.S. is experiencing an invasion at the southern border, according to a new NPR/Ipsos poll. Moreover, half believe there is at least some truth to the view that migrants bringing fentanyl and other illegal drugs over the southern border are responsible for the increases of overdoses in the U.S.

Judging by reports, the Americans who have these beliefs, are correct:

  • CNN: “US on track to encounter record 2 million migrants on the southern border, government estimates show.”
  • Reuters: “Mexican security forces seize record fentanyl haul”—seized in Sinaloa, where cartels prepare it for America.
  • CBS NEWS: “DEA administrator on record fentanyl overdose deaths and how cartels target Americans.”
  • Axios: “Texas migrant buses overwhelm New York, Washington D.C.”

You noted, I hope, that none of the news sources I cited above is Fox News. The reports come from the mainstream media, not from any conservative news organizations. So, these are facts that may drive Americans’ perceptions that we are being overrun and it’s killing a lot of us.

Image: Border crisis. YouTube screen grab (from an NBC video entitled “Record-Breaking Two Million Migrants Encountered At U.S. Southern Border,” which carefully films only intact families or just mothers and children).

But that’s not how NPR/Ipsos see things. The report oozes contempt for people who would allow themselves to be misled into believing this kind of dreck:

“These statements, and others like them that were tested in this survey, shed light on how misleading information or politically charged rhetoric about immigration has taken root among a significant portion of the American public.”

“Many Americans report hearing misleading or politically charged information regarding immigrants and immigration policy.”

As the poll sees it, it isn’t just party affiliation (Republicans are more upset than Democrats, but Democrats are upset, too) driving these results, but also “their media consumption habits.” The problem, of course, is Fox:

Republicans who cite Fox News or other conservative news sources as their main news source are even more likely to believe this than Republicans who get their news elsewhere (91% vs. 71% of those who have a different primary news source).

[snip]

Half also believe it is at least somewhat true that migrants bringing fentanyl and other illegal drugs over the southern border are responsible for the increase in drug overdoses and deaths in the U.S. Here too, we see a partisan divide, with 70% of Republicans saying this is true, compared to 35% of Democrats and 45% of independents. Conservative news watching-Republicans are most likely to believe this (89%), compared to 64% of Republicans whose primary news source is something else.

This outcome may be because Fox News, whatever its other faults, is solid on reporting about Biden’s complete abandonment of America’s immigration laws.

So, here’s what I see: Fox reports daily on the breakdown at the border, the drug cartels using the open border to bring their products in, the drug deaths soaring across America, and the inability of self-identified sanctuary cities to deal with actual, rather than hypothetical, illegal aliens. Other news outlets offer the occasional story, with it being hit and miss whether their viewers/readers see those stories. So, the problem is real; it’s just that leftists, including NPR/Ipsos, have such limited exposure to the facts that they’re in complete denial.
