MORE IRS AGENTS THAN BORDER AGENTS??? - Rep. Banks Introduces Bill to Rescind Funding for 87,000 IRS Agents in Inflation Reduction Act

Joe Concha, contributor to Fox News and the Hill and author of Come On, Man!: The Truth About Joe Biden’s Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Presidency, graded President Joe Biden’s presidency an “F” on addressing the coronavirus pandemic, economy, and national unity.

Concha evaluated Biden’s presidency in a Wednesday interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

“On Covid-19, he did horribly in 2021,” Concha remarked. “Donald Trump in 2020 had no vaccine. [Trump] kept saying at the time that we’ll have one by the end of the year, then fact-checkers would say ‘No, that’s impossible.’ They somehow time-traveled into the future to show Trump was wrong in saying a vaccine wouldn’t come in 2020, and sure enough it did in December of 2020. I would know. My wife got a shot at that time. She is an ER doctor treating COVID patients on a daily basis.”

He continued, “Then Biden promises he would — quote — stop and control — unquote, the virus when he got into office, which is a lot like his promise that he’s going to cure cancer. You can’t say that about something that you truly cannot control, and sure enough, what happened in 2021? More people died of COVID than they did in 2020, despite having vaccines, despite having monoclonal, despite having treatments that we didn’t have then because he could not stop and control it. So on that front, F.”

He said, “He called 74 million people who voted for Donald Trump ‘extremists, a major ‘threat‘ to this country, ‘semi-fascist‘ — which I didn’t know there was like a Diet Coke of fascism, but apparently it exists.”

Concha concluded by noting the state of the American economy is in recession.

He stated, “Even though the media refuses to admit this, we are in a recession, because the traditional definition used by Paul Krugman and everybody else in media when it happened under a Republican president was, if you had two straight quarters of the economy contracting, of negative growth, therefore, that is a recession.”

“We are at 8.5 percent inflation,” he added. “That is the highest in 40 years, and people are suffering in terms of what they have to pay for food, gas prices going up again, rent, electric bills, you name it, it ain’t going well. On that front, F, as well, and this is based on numbers, not Joe Concha’s opinion.”

Concha said Biden sowed seeds of political division by denigrating as “semi-fascist” the Republican theme of “Make America Great Again.”

Rep. Banks Introduces Bill to Rescind Funding for 87,000 IRS Agents in Inflation Reduction Act

(CNS News) - In response to President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, House Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) introduced a bill that would rescind the bill’s funding of 87,000 new IRS Agents and provide Americans with a tax break.

On Sept. 26, Banks introduced the Defunding the IRS Army Act to “rescind” the funding of 87,000 additional IRS Agents included in the Democrats’ reconciliation bill, and “make permanent” the standard deduction in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Banks’ bill comes as a response to the Inflation Reduction Act, which was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Biden on Aug.16.

According to a White House press release from August 19, the Inflation Reduction Act will “lower the deficit and ask the ultra-wealthy and corporations to pay their fair share.” The press release asserts that “no one making under $400,000 per year will pay a penny more in taxes.”

However, a report from the Joint Committee on Taxation estimates that the 87,000 new IRS agents will raise $124 billion in revenue. Over 50% of revenue collected from Schedule C and Schedule E income audits will come from taxpayers making $50,000 or less, while only 4% to 9% of the revenue will come from taxpayers making $500,000 or more, the committee reported.

In Rep. Banks’ view, President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act “would hit Americans with billions in new taxes and subject them to pointless and invasive IRS audits.”

“My bill would use the $80 billion that Joe Biden is sending to the IRS to partially offset a tax break for working Americans,” said Banks.

Aside from preventing these mass audits from taking place, Banks’ legislation will also increase the standard deduction.

According to the Tax Foundation, “the standard deduction is the alternative to itemized deductions and simplifies tax filing for taxpayers and administrators.”

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which was passed by Congress in December 2017 and signed into law by former President Donald Trump, “nearly doubled the standard deduction through 2025.” As a result of this increase, nine out of ten voters opt for the standard deduction over the itemized option.

Banks’ proposed legislation would make these increases permanent, and also further increase the standard deduction by:

$14,025 for individuals beginning in FY 2023.

$21,060 for Heads of Households in FY 2023.

$28,050 for families beginning in FY 2023.

Furthermore, “these amounts would then increase by inflation every fiscal year as under current law,” the bill reads.

According to Banks, his legislation signals a clear distinction between the two parties’ approaches to taxation:

“Democrats are treating hardworking taxpayers as suspected cheats and squeezing them dry to pay for their radical agenda, while House Republicans are trying to lower inflation by easing Americans’ tax burden.”

Last Friday in Pennsylvania, House Republicans introduced their “Commitment to America,” which includes the GOP’s legislative goals if they are to take back the House majority in November.

During the presentation, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) announced his plan to tackle what Banks’ bill covers. “On our very first bill, we’re going to repeal 87,000 IRS agents,” said McCarthy in reference to the 87,000 IRS agents added by the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act.

“I’d like to thank Leader McCarthy for his commitment and leadership on this issue and for pledging to immediately defund Biden’s IRS army,” Rep. Banks said about McCarthy’s statement.

Biden Announces Plans to Accept 125K Refugees amid Ongoing Migrant Crisis

The Biden administration has announced that it plans to bring in 125K refugees in 2023 as America faces an ongoing migrant crisis.

The Biden administration has announced it wants to bring in 125,000 refugees in 2023 as America faces government-created migrant and inflation crises. “The admission of up to 125,000 refugees to the United States during Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 is justified by humanitarian concerns or is otherwise in the national interest,” says the announcement, titled “Memorandum on Presidential Determination on Refugee Admissions for Fiscal Year 2023.”

It reads, “The admission of up to 125,000 refugees to the United States during Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 is justified by humanitarian concerns or is otherwise in the national interest.”

It does not, however, explain how accepting 125,000 refugees is in the national interest of everyday Americans. It does, however, say “I hereby determine that assistance to or on behalf of persons applying for admission to the United States as part of the overseas refugee admissions program will contribute to the foreign policy interests of the United States.”

The memorandum specifies how many refugees will be accepted from specific regions. A plurality will be accepted from Africa, with a cap of 40,000 migrants from the continent.

Meanwhile, the administration plans to accept 15,000 migrants from both Europe and Central Asia, Latin America/Caribbean, and from East Asia. The administration plans to accept 35,000 refugees from the Near East/South Asia.

There will also be space for another 5,000 “unallocated refugee numbers” which can be added onto any region.

Breitbart News previously reported that there are nine different refugee resettlement contractors that receive money from the federal government and have a financial stake in refugee resettlement.

One study found that American taxpayers are billed up to $133K for each refugee that is resettled in the United States.

The Biden administration’s decision to accept another 125K migrants comes as America faces an unprecedented border crisis that has put strain on our country’s resources. Even Portland, Maine, in one of the Northern-most regions of our country, faces a migrant crisis.

Roughly 3 million economic migrants have been allowed across the southern border into the U.S. economy since Biden’s inauguration. Roughly 2 million additional legal migrants, temporary workers, and white-collar illegals have been allowed in via the U.S. airports. The combined inflow is huge — roughly 4 million young Americans join the labor force each year.

A recent poll from Gallup found that a plurality of Americans would like to see immigration decreased.

A different poll found that a majority of Americans believe that Biden’s border crisis is an invasion. Even 40 percent of Democrats believe that the crisis is an invasion, while 76 percent of Republicans and 46 percent of independents also said that America faces an invasion on its Southern border.

Migrant Toddler Rescued from Alleged Smugglers’ Ransom Scheme near Border in Texas

State and federal law enforcement agencies teamed up to arrest an alleged human smuggler in West Texas who reportedly held a migrant toddler for ransom. The arrest followed a traffic stop by a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper working under Operation Lone Star.

A DPS trooper stopped a vehicle later discovered to be hauling a load of smuggled migrants, according to a statement from DPS officials in West Texas. The group of people included an unaccompanied 18-month-old boy.

The trooper determined the child to be in poor health and called for an ambulance to transport the toddler to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. Following the treatment, officials turned the child over to Texas child protective services while they attempted to determine the toddler’s identity.

Troopers arrested 45-year-old Jenna Roark, a resident of El Paso, and a 15-year-old juvenile on human smuggling charges. Border Patrol agents from the El Paso Sector took custody of the migrants.

Ten days later, FBI officials in El Paso contacted DPS Criminal Investigations Division special agents regarding information they received from St. Petersburg, Florida. A mother reported her toddler was being held for ransom, officials stated.

The FBI and Texas DPS investigators worked together and identified the child in the traffic stop as being the woman in Florida’s toddler. The agents worked together to find Roark and the juvenile and booked them into local holding facilities in El Paso on charges related to human smuggling and aggravated kidnapping.

“It’s an unthinkable situation to have your child kidnapped and held for ransom,” Jose Sanchez, West Texas Regional Director, said in a written statement. “DPS Troopers and CID Agents are specially trained in the Interdiction for the Protection of Children (IPC) which gives them the skills to take action in these situations and save children from further harm.”

Jeffery R. Downey, FBI El Paso Special Agent in Charge added, “Being caught in a kidnapping for ransom (KFR) extortion incident is frightening as it is, but when the subject kidnaps a small child to hold for collateral until the parent pays for their services, is utterly inhumane and heartless.”

“Thankfully, the victim contacted the FBI St. Petersburg Field Office to report that her child was being held ransom’ Downey stated. “They immediately contacted our office to locate the subject and the child. Working with our partners at the Texas Department of Public Safety, we were able to share intelligence about the KFR, locate the child and assist in arresting the subject of this heartless kidnapping.

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 10,000 migrants last week in what has become the nation’s busiest sector. Nearly 3,000 more migrants are known to have gotten away without being caught.

Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens tweeted a weekly recap showing the agents in the nation’s busiest sector apprehended 10,328 migrants last week. The report classifies 2,712 more migrants as “known gotaways.”

In total, more than 13,000 migrants are known to have illegally crossed the border in a single week, Del Rio Sector Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Ruben Garcia reported. These numbers included 14 large groups — each containing more than 100 migrants. More than 230 crossed the border in a single group. More than 64 percent of all large migrant groups cross into the Del Rio Sector — mostly in the Eagle Pass area.

Garcia reported the number of got-aways is beginning to decrease as more agents are put back in the field as processing demands are reduced. He said the sector now has 65 percent of its workforce back performing field operations.

Agents rescued 96 migrants suffering from exposure to the elements on the ranches along the border and near interior immigration checkpoints. Fortunately, the number of migrant deaths in the sector fell to four last week.

During the month of August, Del Rio Sector agents took a commanding lead as the nation’s busiest sector with the apprehension of more than 52,000 migrants, Breitbart Texas reported.

For more than ten years, the Rio Grande Valley Sector led the nation in apprehensions. In August, the sector fell into third place as agents apprehended just over 27,000 migrants. This is a significant decrease from the 35,000 apprehended in July.

Agents in the El Paso Sector jumped into the number two spot with the apprehension of just under 30,000 migrants. This is up from approximately 25,000 apprehended in July.
