President Biden: ‘Fetterman Is Everything That He Appears to Be’
(CNSNews.com) - President Joe Biden was in Wilmington, Delaware, on Saturday, where he cast an early ballot for the midterm election that will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
After walking out of the polling place, Biden stopped to answer questions from reporters.
In response to a question about the race between Pennsylvania Democratic senatorial candidate John Fetterman and his Republican opponent, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Biden said of Fetterman “he’s my kind of guy” and “he is everything that he appears to be.”
Here is Biden’s exchange with the reporter about the Fetterman vs. Oz race:
President Joe Biden: “Thank you.”
Reporter: “You were with Fetterman yesterday. Are you confident about his—about the way it looks there?”
President Biden: “Yeah, I thought he was really good. I thought he knew was doing. I thought he was strong.
“And, look, Fetterman is Pennsylvania. I mean, Fetterman is everything that he appears to be. You know where he stands. He has great courage. He has no reluctance to say what he thinks. He’s my kind of guy. And I think he’s going to be fine. And he’s just getting better and better.
“He had a stroke; he’s recovering.
“Thank you all very much.”
