Hunter Biden’s defense team is weighed suing Fox News, Eric Trump, and Rudy Giuliani for defamation, according to a report.

In a strategy conference call in September, attorney Kevin Morris told Hunter and others on the call that the president’s son should be taking a bold approach in the public eye to combat Republican investigations into the Biden family business, according to the Washington Post. The more aggressive tactics include potentially suing Fox News, Eric Trump, and Giuliani for defamation in relation to the contents of Hunter’s “Laptop from Hell.”

Contents on the laptop, first reported by Breitbart News’s Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris, have revealed international business schemes on multiple continents while President Joe Biden was vice president and after he left office — which have raised questions about the president’s influences on decision making.

Kevin Morris has also assembled a team to compile opposition research against witnesses that may comply with GOP investigations. Two potential witnesses named in the Post article were Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski and laptop repair man John Paul Mac Isaac.

The team members assembled to combat the investigations include attorneys Chris Clark and attorney Joshua A. Levy. Clark is working on fighting the Justice Department’s probe into alleged tax and gun related violations, while Levy is working to oppose congressional investigations that seek to reveal the complexities of the family’s business schemes.

Not everyone believes the Biden family should more aggressively combat the investigations in the public eye. The White House appears to prefer using public relations to tamp down any real concern that Joe Biden is compromised.

“Congressional Republicans’ politically motivated partisan attacks on the president and his family are rooted in nonsensical conspiracy theories and do nothing to address the real issues Americans care about,” White House spokesman Ian Sams told the Post.

Yet Hunter has remained very visible in recent months. Besides vacationing with his father in Nantucket over Thanksgiving, Hunter attended the White House’s state dinner in December. Last week, he was also spotted in New York City at his art gallery selling artwork for $200,000, $125,000 more than reported sales.

Republican House members have pledged to investigate the Biden family once they take control of the House in January.

“One thing is clear, the facts are revealing that Joe Biden is compromised,” Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Rep. James Comer (R-KY) told Breitbart News in a joint statement. “In the new majority, House Republicans will use our subpoena power to expose how deep Hunter Biden and the entire Biden family’s corruption goes and hold this Administration accountable.”

“We already know Hunter Biden made millions off of his corrupt business dealings with the Chinese Communist Party,” they added. “We must know how far Hunter Biden’s corruption goes as a matter of national security.”

In 2018 and 2020, Breitbart Senior Contributor and Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer published Secret Empires and Profiles in Corruption. Each book hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and exposed how Hunter Biden and Joe Biden flew aboard Air Force Two in 2013 to China before Hunter’s firm inked a $1.5 billion deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China less than two weeks after the trip. Schweizer’s work also uncovered the Biden family’s other vast and lucrative foreign deals and cronyism.

Breitbart Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris’s investigative work at the New York Post on the Hunter Biden “laptop from hell” also captured international headlines when she, along with Miranda Devine, revealed that Joe Biden was intimately involved in Hunter’s businesses, appearing to even have a 10 percent stake in a company the scion formed with officials at the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party.

Disagreement exists among those surrounding the Biden family about how to combat Republican investigations into the family business, according to a report.

Kevin Morris, a Hollywood attorney who has been retained by Hunter Biden to “craft legal and media strategy,” reportedly believes the Biden family should take a more aggressive position against the GOP investigations by remaining in the public eye, along with suing conservative media networks and some Republicans for defamation concerning information discovered on the “Laptop from Hell.” Others in the Biden orbit believe the family should take a far less aggressive approach, staying out of the public view and allowing the White House and congressional Democrats to combat the investigations through public relations.

Morris has assembled a research team to compile opposition research against Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski and laptop repair man John Paul Mac Isaac, both of whom are likely to cooperate with the GOP’s probes into the Biden family business. According to the Washington Post’s Matt Viser and Michael Scherer, the team members include Chris Clark, a lawyer handling the Justice Department’s investigation into Hunter’s alleged gun and tax violations, and attorney Joshua A. Levy, who is heading up the Biden family’s defense against the GOP’s congressional investigation that seeks to reveal that Joe Biden is compromised by the family’s business schemes.

Disagreement reportedly exists between Morris and the White House about how the Biden family should combat the investigations into the family business. Morris, who gave Hunter $2 million to pay the IRS for delinquent taxes, wants Hunter to remain in the public eye by attending public events, such as the recent White House state dinner and public art exhibits. The Post reported those who agree with Morris’s strategy also want Hunter to play a public role in Joe Biden’s potential reelection campaign.

But not everyone agrees with Morris’s strategy. One Democrat who spoke with the Post under anonymity opposes the approach. “No one thinks this strategy of putting Hunter Biden front and center is smart,” the person said. “No one, including the White House, thinks this is a smart strategy.”

The White House also appears to be opposed to pushing Hunter further into the public eye. The White House has suggested it will not comply with many of the GOP’s subpoenas seeking information related to Hunter’s role in the Biden family business. It has also made the argument Hunter is a private citizen, one who is allowed to conduct his own business affairs in the art market without scrutiny.

Hunter’s recent public appearances at a New York City art gallery and White House state dinner have renewed public scrutiny surrounding his proximity to the president.

“Congressional Republicans’ politically motivated partisan attacks on the president and his family are rooted in nonsensical conspiracy theories and do nothing to address the real issues Americans care about,” White House spokesman Ian Sams told the Post.

GOP Conference Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Rep. James Comer (R-KY) told Breitbart News on Saturday that Hunter’s ongoing publicly visible business in the unregulated art market is a national security threat, one that compromises the president.

Money laundering, one of the nine alleged Biden family business violations probed by the GOP, was identified as an issue in the art world, according to the Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations last year. “Secrecy, anonymity, and a lack of regulation create an environment ripe for laundering money and evading sanctions,” the committee said. “Given the intrinsic secrecy of the art industry, it is clear that change is needed in this multi-billion dollar industry.”

Meanwhile, Hunter is under investigation by the Justice Department for alleged tax and gun violations. The defense could possibly successfully use Hunter’s drug abuse to defend the president’s son against potential charges, the Wall Street Journal reported. It should be noted President Joe Biden has failed to appoint a special counsel to probe into his son’s alleged violations.

In 2018 and 2020, Breitbart Senior Contributor and Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer published Secret Empires and Profiles in Corruption. Exclusive–James Comer 95% Sure Hunter’s Artwork Sold to Chinese, Compromising Joe Biden

Rep. James Comer (R-TN), the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee, told Breitbart News Saturday he strongly suspects that Hunter Biden’s artwork was sold to Chinese oligarchs, potentially implicating president Joe Biden.

“With respect to China, since Joe Biden’s been president, that we didn’t even talk about in the press conference, was the fact that Hunter became an artist for a week, if you’ll remember, and he sold some very expensive artwork,” Comer prefaced, noting his Thursday press conference in which he said the Biden family will be investigated for nine potential violations.

Hunter has reportedly sold five paintings worth $75,000 each to an anonymous buyer. Hunter’s art dealer, Georges Bergès, has previously boasted he had strong ties to businessmen in Communist China, which has concerned many due to the Biden family’s business ventures abroad.

“We are 95% sure that that artwork went to China,” Comer said. “We don’t know where exactly that went to in China, but we’re going to try to find out when we get subpoena power.”

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki has defended Hunter’s art scheme and his contact with potential “anonymous” art buyers as “reasonable, claiming Hunter “is not involved in the sale or discussions about the sale of his art,” and that Hunter will not be “informed” of “who is purchasing his art.”

The newly Republican-controlled House will have the power to compel testimony from key individuals, including Hunter, to reveal just how deep Joe Biden’s involvement in the family business is.

Comer gave a second example of potential Biden family wrongdoing while Joe Biden was president, citing the president’s policy decision to sell the Strategic Petroleum Reserves to China, which Comer suspects involved CEFC, a defunct Chinese energy company. Hunter had been trying to work a deal with the CEFC in which Joe Biden would receive a ten percent equity stake in the deal, according to whistleblower Tony Bobulinski.

“He sold the strategic reserves to a Chinese energy company,” Comer said. “We believe that parts of that energy company were the remnants of the CEFC.”

“We have plenty of quality whistleblowers that were on the inside,” Comer said, probably eluding to Bobulinski. “They were president of his company. They were, you know, business partners,” he said. “So we have that. We believe that some of the former owners of CEFC were part of this group that purchased oil from the oil reserves.”

Comer then slammed Joe Biden for potential wrongdoing with China while not raising pressing concerns about China’s role in failing to police the sale of fentanyl components.

“Joe Biden goes to China and he never mentions fentanyl, which has killed one hundred thousand people since he’s been president. He never mentioned a lot of the unfair trade practices that our manufacturers have, the fact that China is stealing our patents and our trademarks,” he said.

“This looks like a president who’s compromised by China. And you look at some of what little bank records we have, and Hunter Biden’s received millions of dollars from China. So this is worthy of an investigation,” he concluded.

Exclusive: Elise Stefanik, James Comer Pledge to Probe into Biden Business After Hunter Spotted Selling ‘Artwork’ for Increased Price of $200K

Republican Conference Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the top Republican on the oversight committee, told Breitbart News they plan to probe into the Biden family business “as a matter of national security,” after Hunter was recently spotted selling his artwork for a more than 100 percent higher price than previously.

Hunter was spotted on Friday at his SoHo art exhibit, held by art dealer Georges Bergès, who has strong business ties to the Chinese art market. Bergès has been representing the novice painter since 2021. Back then, Hunter reportedly sold the art for $75,000. According to Fox News, the prices have dramatically increased — by over 100 percent — now going for up to $200,000.

“We already know Hunter Biden made millions off of his corrupt business dealings with the Chinese Communist Party,” Stefanik and Comer said in a joint statement. “We must know how far Hunter Biden’s corruption goes as a matter of national security.

“One thing is clear, the facts are revealing that Joe Biden is compromised,” the statement continued. “In the new majority, House Republicans will use our subpoena power to expose how deep Hunter Biden and the entire Biden family’s corruption goes and hold this Administration accountable.”

Comer told Breitbart News in November he is 95 percent sure the artwork has been sold to Chinese investors, which could compromise Hunter’s father, President Joe Biden, due to the conflicts of interest, such as influence peddling.

In this Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 file photo, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, left, waves as he walks out of Air Force Two with his granddaughter Finnegan Biden and son Hunter Biden at the airport in Beijing, China. (Ng Han Guan, Pool/AP)

“We are 95% sure that that artwork went to China,” Comer stated. “We don’t know where exactly that went to in China, but we’re going to try to find out when we get subpoena power.”

Hunter has reportedly sold five paintings worth $75,000 each to anonymous buyers. Hunter’s art dealer, Bergès, has previously hosted art shows in the United States for Hunter while boasting strong ties within the Chinese art market, a worrisome fact due to the Biden family’s business schemes in Communist China.

Joe Biden’s potential conflict of interest is not the only issue that Comer is investigating. Comer’s committee is also investigating Hunter for money laundering, one of nine potential violations. Money laundering in the art world was identified as a major issue by a bipartisan Senate investigation last year.

CNN Business reported:

The Senate report details how a pair of Russian oligarchs with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly seized on the secrecy of the art industry to evade sanctions by making more than $18 million in high-value art purchases.

“This is just the tip of the iceberg,” investigators for the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations told reporters on a call. The art world is considered to be the largest legal unregulated industry in the United States, according to the Senate investigation.

The Rotenberg example and many other investigation details highlight the fact that, unlike selling stock or making routine bank transfers, art sales through auction houses are not subject to anti-money laundering provisions in the Bank Secrecy Act. When art is sold, according to the report, sellers are not required to confirm the identity of the buyer nor to make sure the artwork isn’t being used to launder dirty money.

“Secrecy, anonymity, and a lack of regulation create an environment ripe for laundering money and evading sanctions,” a 2020 Senate subcommittee report found.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki has defended Hunter’s art scheme with “anonymous” art buyers as “reasonable,” claiming Hunter “is not involved in the sale or discussions about the sale of his art,” and that Hunter will not be “informed” of “who is purchasing his art.”

Hunter’s art dealer has also claimed he would abide by ethical standards and not sell Hunter’s artwork to anyone who seems suspicious.

“This is an absurd solution,” Breitbart News senior contributor and Profiles in Corruption author Peter Schweizer told Breitbart News. “The only way to address these issues is with greater transparency–not less,” he continued. “Their proposed solution is greater secrecy, not transparency. And they are essentially saying, ‘Trust us.’ Joe and Hunter Biden’s track record on such matters gives us no reason to trust them.”

Watters: I guarantee you Satan went to law school

Raiding Arizona

A few weeks ago, Julie Kelly tweeted that FBI director Christopher Wray has scheduled a “bureau-wide call with all 36,000+ FBI employees” this month. This is without recent precedent and if true, I hope it’s to announce his resignation. He should, of course, because the agency he heads has been engaged in more lawbreaking and unconstitutional conduct than I can easily document in the space allotted me here. I can imagine the blather he’d spout along the lines of resigning to avoid a witch-hunt which would damage the reputation of the agency. If such a meeting does take place and he does resign, it will be only to minimize the damage to himself from his incompetent management of an agency which under his watch has grown out of control, operated as a partisan secret police of the Democratic party, and rightly earned the distrust of citizens.

The FBI agent in charge of the D.C. office silently resigned just this week. His conduct is illustrative of the Stasi-like operations the FBI under Wray has been engaged in.

[Steve] D’Antuono was the FBI agent in charge of the investigations into both the Gov. Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping plot and the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. He came under fire when two of the defendants in the Whitmer case were acquitted. At the time, there were allegations that the FBI had effectively entrapped them into taking part in the plot.

His resignation was preceded a few months earlier by the resignation of another high-level FBI agent, Timothy Thibault, for his role in keeping hidden from the public the Biden family graft and corruption documented and preserved in the Hunter Biden laptop.

Both resignations occurred in anticipation of expected congressional investigations into the operations of an agency that has without question come off the rails.

These resignations are not unique. It has been reported that after an internal review 665 FBI personnel “have resigned or retired to avoid accountability in misconduct probes over the past two decades.”

Whatever the nature of the misconduct involved in those cases, the recent partisan meddling of the agency seems beyond precedent, and more evidence of this is coming as Elon Musk (working with Bari Weiss and Matt Taibbi) sorts through the files of Twitter.

Other bloggers like Andy Ngo are digging in, too.

the head of Twitter’s censorship scheme to shadowban conservative accounts and posts across the platform previously worked as an operative for the FBI and CIA.

According to a now-unavailable LinkedIn profile discovered by journalist Andy Ngo, Jeff Carlton, whose prior work included serving as a federal intelligence officer, became the leading member of Twitter’s Strategic Response Team (SRT) last month. As revealed in a batch of “Twitter Files” released by reporter Bari Weiss on Thursday, SRT is one of the main groups at Twitter tasked with shadowbanning conservative accounts and tweets on the platform.

It is already clear from what they have found and reported on that federal agencies, including the FBI and CDC, dictated to willing partisans inside Twitter orders to limit posts and posters who deviated from the Democratic party line and hid things like the Hunter laptop to promote Biden’s candidacy in 2020. While colluding with Federal offices to limit free speech, Twitter officials lied to Congress about its censorship program and turned a blind eye to child sex trafficking, left-wing calls to violence, and anti-Semitism.

There will certainly be more to come now that Musk has fired James Baker, former disgraced FBI general counsel (criminally investigated but never charged for malfeasance in that position) who as Twitter’s deputy general counsel worked inside Twitter’s headquarters to hide evidence of wrongdoing from his new boss.

As this continues, we have a striking new development regarding the Arizona election.

Kari Lake just filed a 70-page complaint charging that there were hundreds of thousands of illegal votes counted in the midterm election in Arizona.

The complaint seems well-documented, and, unlike too many post-election complaints, this one makes a credible argument that the fraud was so extensive it provably affected the election results which must, therefore, be overturned.

Among the key points Lake makes are these:

• “59% of Maricopa County precincts had broken tabulators or printers on election day disenfranchising voters, and tens of thousands of illegal mail-in ballots were counted that did not pass signature verification requirements.”

• “The number of illegal votes cast in Arizona’s general election on November 8, 2022, far exceeds the 17,117 vote margin between Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and Democrat gubernatorial candidate Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, certified at the official state canvass on December 5, 2022.”

In support of her claim, Lake has detailed witness affidavits from various tabulation and vote centers and whistleblowers from Dominion and Runback Election Services.

A Rasmussen poll indicates that 72% of voters agreed with Lake’s claim that her election was “botched.” Cynics -- maybe realists is a better categorization -- keep arguing that we can’t vote ourselves out of the present governance mess. This would be a tragic failure if true. If people think we cannot determine our fate through elections, they will stop bothering to vote and such widespread disaffection would not bode well for a continuation of the American experiment in representative government. It looks as if Lake and her team have presented the strongest possible evidence in support of her contention and the judiciary will do a great disservice to all of us if it fails to give serious and credible resolution of her claims.
