Why Just Mayorkas?
Leave it to Republicans to fall short, either from nearsightedness, timidity, or both. Case in point, Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas. Twenty House conservatives, led by the quixotic speaker-aspirant Andy Biggs (R-AZ), are calling for Mayorkas’ impeachment. Their intentions are good, but their call is a little like calling for the arrest of Bonnie Parker but letting Clyde Barrow and his gang run free. Bonnie was nothing without Clyde.
From the New York Post, December 13:
Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), who introduced articles of impeachment against President Biden’s DHS chief last year, led the delegation of lawmakers at a press conference on Tuesday, making the legal case for how Mayorkas “has committed high crimes and misdemeanors” worthy of impeachment.
Then this from the Post’s story:
“Secretary Mayorkas has released more than one million illegal aliens into the country,” Biggs said. “Most of these released illegal aliens will never be heard from again.”
That’s quite true, and should vex Americans who grasp that a nation without a border soon enough degenerates into a pre-civilizational free-for-all. Juárez would appear civil by contrast.
A nation that demolishes its borders isn’t going to be a nice place, thronging with tranquil, diverse peoples bartering hemp clothing for solar panel installations and windmill repairs. It’ll be a land of warring tribes and factions.
This “deconstruction” of the U.S.-Mexican border as a prelude to some glorious global utopia is the masturbatory indulgence of mostly affluent, white progressives… a conceited, powerful minority who, currently -- and, we hope, not much longer -- occupy the high ground, not only in government, but in a range of institutions – in the corporate media, prominently -- and who dominate the culture. Among them, too, hard-eyed cynics, whose preoccupation is power acquisition for self-aggrandizement. They see profit in exploiting the diaspora.
It’s these elites who must stand accused in the court of public opinion of crimes against the American people… who lend not just their assent to the debauching of the southern border and, since January 2021, the ensuing deluge of an estimated 5.5 million illegals into the country, but whose voices, dollars, and institutional heft weigh heavily in this unprecedented assault on the nation’s integrity, security, and welfare.
But, of course, it’s outside the scope of the soon-to-be House Republican majority to pursue that extra-governmental supporting cast. It’s mostly up to us -- sensible, sober patriots -- to defeat those elites and their minions, pushing them to the margins. No easy feat, but neither was defeating the British crown.
Congress is granted, via the Constitution, the right -- indeed, the duty -- to impeach and remove elected and appointed officials (and, intriguingly, “civil officers”) for “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” Says Cornell Law about high crimes and misdemeanors:
The type of behavior that qualifies as impeachable conduct, and the circumstances in which impeachment is an appropriate remedy for such actions, are thus determined by, among other things, competing political interests, changing institutional relationships among the three branches of government, and legislators' interaction with and accountability to the public. The weight of historical practice, rather than judicial precedent, is thus central to understanding the nature of impeachment in the United States.
Clearly, it isn’t Mayorkas alone who’s responsible for the premeditated destruction of the U.S.-Mexican border. To borrow loosely from the creepy Colonel Kurtz describing Captain Willard in Apocalypse Now, Mayorkas is “an errand boy…” He does the biding of powerful 
personages in the Biden administration, starting with Chief of Staff Ron Klain and Domestic Policy Advisor Susan Rice, whose ear belongs to shadowy Barack Obama.
House Republicans -- if conservatives can ever muster a majority -- targeting Mayorkas solely for impeachment will miss the side of the barn.
Mayorkas isn’t a Biden administration rogue acting outside the administration’s chain-of-command, like a Kurtz. Mayorkas is a cabinet officer in good standing, appointed by the president and acting in accord with the very deliberate, unspoken policies of the administration to open the U.S.-Mexican border to a torrent of illegals that will only grow worse with the end of Title 42. Two more years of Biden’s wretched presidency ensures multiple millions more illegals crossing into the U.S.
It’s worth emphasizing that the erasure of the southern border isn’t the result of Biden administration incompetence, which is generally assumed. Democrats regard illegals as lifeblood. The relationship is mutually parasitic. Democrats feed off hordes of illegals, funneling them into mostly Hispanic communities. These millions will -- in time or more immediately through chicanery -- give their votes to Democrats, whose agenda is increasingly, brazenly anti-liberty, globalist, and downright anti-American.
The indictment (articles of impeachment), then, can’t center on Mayorkas. That would cruelly mislead Americans. It creates the wrong optics and fails justice. It dims the chances for effective accountability and meaningful change.
Mayorkas, good errand boy he, impeached for the border fiasco, serves then as the administration’s fall guy. He becomes the card that all eyes go to in an, albeit, unintended sleight of hand instigated by Republicans. Eyes must be on the more guilty parties.
The indictment must be far more ambitious, more comprehensive, painfully honest, and historically precedent-setting.
The Biden administration must stand in the docket in the person of Joe Biden. Biden, the oft-befuddled face, and not infrequently, gibbering mouthpiece, for his handlers, must be impeached. He must be the indictment’s focus.
For House Republicans, who would prosecute Biden in a Senate trial, the chief articles of impeachment center on Biden’s policies. 1) That they’re meant to destroy the southern border, doing grave harm to the country, for political gain. 2) In pursuing political ends, Biden accepts as incidental untallied amounts of fentanyl, meth, and other killer drugs entering the U.S. (Mexican cartels are the means, while ingredients are supplied, in part, by communist China. Such has created an epidemic of drug deaths, particularly among American adults.) 3) Biden’s quest for greater political power allows criminal elements -- cartel soldiers and gangbangers, notably -- to infiltrate the U.S., harming citizens. 4) the deliberate influx of illegals places undue financial and other resource pressures on state and local governments and infrastructures. That amounts to greater costs or stretched resources for police and fire protection, emergency medical services, housing, welfare, and schools, among other vital services.
Yes, impeach Mayorkas. He’s most certainly culpable. He’s a tireless liar and lackey. He’s played a pivotal role in the southern border debacle. But he’s an errand boy, doubtlessly willing to take the tarnish for his overlords, knowing that his sacrifice will be amply rewarded by the establishment.
With a Democrat Senate, and the threshold for removal being 67 votes, impeachment will not lead to Biden’s ouster -- or Mayorkas’ or that of any Biden administration official.
But the case for Biden’s removal for the purposeful degradation of the border (personal corruption charges could be woven in, too) will have been presented to the country, and done so compellingly. Democrats’ intentions will have been laid bare. In this instance, momentously, Republicans would have discharged their duties to the people.
Frankly, though, it’ll take guts by House Republicans to pursue an aggressive impeachment strategy -- if impeachment occurs at all. They would likely regard what’s recommended here as “elevating the conflict.” But isn’t the conflict already elevated? The risks to the country grow more profound daily. Threats to our cohesion as a country, to our viability as one people, in fact, mount, and with a rapidity that will shortly astonish. Greater perils will be upon us sooner than we imagine.
It’s high time for Republicans to stop pulling punches, to jettison half measures. It’s time to accept the fight that’s been thrust upon us… and, before it’s too late, fight with a single-minded determination to win.

England’s migrant transformation is even bigger than America’s
England, once the bastion of Western liberty, is rapidly becoming a Muslim-dominated nation, which bodes ill for all who live there. The seeds for this, believe it or not, began with America’s revolution when Parliament rejected inherent rights.
Beginning in the 1760s, as the British began to clamp down on Colonial America, Americans complained that it was denying them their rights under the Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights of 1689, which contains ideas many will find familiar (separation of the executive and the legislative, the right to bear arms, free elections, etc.). Parliament, however, was so intent upon quashing the upstart colonists that it declared that the Bill of Rights applied only to the king and placed no limits on Parliament.
At that moment, Britain ceased to be a free country. Instead, it existed at the whim of a Parliament that theoretically embraced ancient ideas of British liberty but, in fact, was unconstrained by either rules or inherent rights vested in citizens rather than the government.
Through the 19th century, Parliament still acted as if such rights existed but, with post-WWII era socialism, England became a soft totalitarian nation. It was easy, beginning in the 1990s, to allow virtually unchecked immigration into Britain from Britain’s former colonies, many of which were majority Muslim. In 2015, the floodgates opened when the EU, under Angela Merkel, invited North Africa and the Middle East to invade Europe.

The result is that Muslim-driven sectarian violence is rising, with Muslims attacking Christians and Hindus.
As Peter Hammond concluded in Slavery, Terrorism & Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat, when an immigrant Muslim population reaches a certain percentage, it’s game over for the preexisting culture. The conclusions in Hammond’s book are most frequently summarized as follows:

In El Paso, illegals are now crawling out of the sewers
'They're coming out of the woodwork' now has a rather horrific comparative in El Paso, where hundreds of illegals, at least, are now crawling into the U.S. through the sewers.
According to the New York Post:
Illegal immigrants have been spotted popping out of manholes in downtown El Paso, crawling out of the sewer system to enter the country illegally, according to local reports.
Residents who live near downtown El Paso have been witnessing migrants exiting manholes for weeks now, sometimes in groups as large as 30.
A group of six illegal immigrants was spotted Wednesday night just north of the border wall by a KVIA-TV news crew after having entered the US waste water system via openings at the Rio Grande river, which serves as the border marker.
“They are not using the river anymore, they are using the water tunnels to come in,” local resident Rosalina Tapia told the TV station in October.
After they climb onto the street, Tapia said, she’s seen smugglers waiting for the migrants, ready to take them farther into the country.
If that isn't suggestive of a border out of control, what is?
After all, illegal migrants are literally being escorted in by the Border Patrol, and instead of being detained for breaking and entering without authorization, they are now "processed" and sent on their way freely throughout the country.
If you've ever seen the 1983 film "El Norte," with sympathetically portrayed migrants from Guatemala being escorted into the U.S. by evil human smugglers through a surreally horrific rat-filled sewer tunnel, you will get a whiff of what that trip for these migrants into El Paso, whoever they are, might have been like. I could not find any good video from that movie on YouTube conveying the horror, one of the most freakish and memorable movie scenes I've ever seen, but this screenshot from the trailer, before the rats encircled the migrants from all sides, running round and round, is a minor indicator.

The director was interviewed recently about that famous tunnel scene here.
But his film was made in 1983 when the border was a thing and the Border Patrol was allowed to guard the border. The migrants portrayed appeared to have valid asylum cases.
Anyone coming into the U.S. today though a sewer though, would have to have a mighty important reason to ensure that lawmen would not apprehend them and "process" them for travel thoughout the country. All migrants are being let in now, and all they have to do is say the magic word "asylum," no matter how invalid their claims.
Who wouldn't want to choose that route, given the willful gullibility (or worse) of the Biden administration?
Most likely, the sewer crawlers are human-traffickers bringing in slave labor, actual cartel criminals looking to ply their trade in the states, parolees for crimes in the U.S., multiple-times deported criminals with long criminal records in the states, or bona fide drug smugglers bringing in all manner of lethal illegal substances, all of whom might be still be subject to arrest if they are caught.
That they are coming in through the sewers now, with nobody putting some kind of net on the entry doesn't suggest a very bright future ahead for the U.S. citizens who are going to have to live with these lawbreakers.
Repeat: They could get let into the country just for wanting in, as thousands and thousands of migrants massing at the border are now doing, but instead, they take the rat-filled roach-infested sewer route. Then they waltz in with no lawmen allowed to do a thing.
It really does signal a border out of control at the El Paso entry point, a very sorry situation where the mayor has been cagey at least about declaring an emergency because he doesn't want to offend Joe Biden and he doesn't want Texas Gov. Greg Abbott stepping in to help, so the out of control situation continues, with 6,000 illegal border crossers expected to enter El Paso per day as Title 42 restrictions are dropped. (He eventually did declare an emergency two days ago). Meanwhile, Joe's deadbeating the city on the money promised to care for the migrants, leaving the city high and dry as the migrants come in from every possible means -- including the sewers.

Sen. Padilla: Asylum-Seekers
'Deserve...Basic Food and Shelter and
Health Screening'
(CNSNews.com) - The federal government should pay more for the "humane treatment of asylum-seekers," Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) told ABC's "This Week" on Sunday.
"[I]t is lawful for someone...fleeing violence, fleeing poverty, fleeing for their lives to come to the United States seeking asylum, and it's our obligation to consider that and make a determination," Padilla said.
"I appreciate (California) Governor Newsom's frustration. He and I spoke just a couple of days ago. The state of California, I think, is a prime example. More than a billion dollars of state funds going into humanitarian assistance for asylum seekers.
"When they come to the United States while they wait for their hearing, do they deserve some basic food and shelter and health screening? Absolutely. And, frankly, the federal government should be investing more in that humane treatment of asylum seekers."
Host Martha Raddatz asked Padilla, "What do you think will happen when [Title 42] is lifted?"
"Well, look, the Biden administration has been preparing for months now for Title 42 to be lifted, not just because the courts have dictated that, but as you mentioned in a prior segment, Title 42 is not immigration policy. Title 42 was put in place at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as health policy. Even then I disagreed, but that's what brought Title 42 to bear.
"We're in a much different place when it comes to COVID today than we were two, almost three years ago. So it's past time for Title 42 to be gone."
Eventually, Padilla admitted that the situation at the border will be a "challenge" when Title 42 is lifted on Wednesday:
"But let's understand why it is such a challenge, because the prior administration starved the very departments and agencies of the resources they need, not just to patrol the border but to process these lawful asylum claims. And...that's the reason individuals, or even families are coming across the border" (to claim asylum).
"Again, most Americans understand and appreciate there are people who want to come to the United States for a number of reasons..."
Padilla said the U.S. should invest more in border safety and security -- but he rejected security measures such as a wall:
"The years we lost to the build-the-wall debate was foolish. We know that whether it's migrants, whether it's, you know, whatever the Republicans are afraid of, contraband, et cetera comes primarily through ports of entry. And so that's got to be the first and foremost focus on border safety dollars."
The current chaos is occurring in-between ports of entry, where migrants are crossing illegally by the hundreds daily.

The United States could pay for transportation, healthcare, legal services, and career and educational services for migrants separated under former President Donald Trump's "zero tolerance" border strategy, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said on Monday.
The announcement is part of a list of principles released by the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden to guide its family reunification task force as the administration seeks to reunite more than 500 migrant children and parents separated by his predecessor's border policy.
The Biden administration will also consider bringing deported parents back to the United States, an option outlined in Biden's Feb. 2 executive order creating the family reunification task force.

"But, but who will pay for this?" you might wonder. Why, all the legal citizens of the U.S., both native-born and (legal) immigrants who patiently waited for permission to arrive in this country, who work hard to pay taxes to support themselves and their families.

Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after Paying their bills and his.
The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up.

This annual income for an impoverished American family is $10,000 less than the more than $34,500 in federal funds which are spent on each unaccompanied minor border crosser.
A study by Tom Wong of the University of California at San Diego discovered that more than 25 percent of DACA-enrolled illegal aliens in the program have anchor babies. Every illegal alien, over the course of their lifetime, costs American taxpayers about $70,000, Center for Immigration Studies Director of Research Steve Camarota says.
During an interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Daily, Camarota said his research has revealed the enormous financial burden that illegal immigration has on America’s working and middle class taxpayers in terms of public services, depressed wages, and welfare.
“In a person’s lifetime, I’ve estimated that an illegal border crosser might cost taxpayers … maybe over $70,000 a year as a net cost,” Camarota said. “And that excludes the cost of their U.S.-born children, which gets pretty big when you add that in.”

“Once [an illegal alien] has a child, they can receive cash welfare on behalf of their U.S.-born children,” Camarota explained. “Once they have a child, they can live in public housing. Once they have a child, they can receive food stamps on behalf of that child. That’s how that works.”
Camarota said the education levels of illegal aliens, border crossers, and legal immigrants are largely to blame for the high level of welfare usage by the f0reign-born population in the U.S., noting that new arrivals tend to compete for jobs against America’s poor and working class communities.
In past waves of mass immigration, Camarota said, the U.S. did not have an expansive welfare system. Today’s ever-growing welfare system, coupled with mass illegal and legal immigration levels, is “extremely problematic,” according to Camarota, for American taxpayers.
The RAISE Act — reintroduced in the Senate by Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR), David Perdue (R-GA), and Josh Hawley (R-MO) — would cut legal immigration levels in half and convert the immigration system to favor well-educated foreign nationals, thus relieving American workers and taxpayers of the nearly five-decade-long wave of booming immigration. Currently, mass legal immigration redistributes the wealth of working and middle class Americans to the country’s top earners.
“Virtually none of that existed in 1900 during the last great wave of immigration, when we also took in a number of poor people. We didn’t have a well-developed welfare state,” Camarota continued:
We’re not going to stop [the welfare state] tomorrow. So in that context, bringing in less educated people who are poor is extremely problematic for public coffers, for taxpayers in a way that it wasn’t in 1900 because the roads weren’t even paved between the cities in 1900. It’s just a totally different world. And that’s the point of the RAISE Act is to sort of bring in line immigration policy with the reality say of a large government … and a welfare state. The immigrants are not all coming to get welfare and they don’t immediately sign up, but over time, an enormous fraction sign their children up. It’s likely the case that of the U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants, more than half are signed up for Medicaid — which is our most expensive program. [Emphasis added]

Every year the U.S. admits more than 1.5 million foreign nationals, with the vast majority deriving from chain migration. In 2017, the foreign-born population reached a record high of 44.5 million. By 2023, the Center for Immigration Studies estimates that the legal and illegal immigrant population of the U.S. will make up nearly 15 percent of the entire U.S. population.

Another line they cut into: Illegals get free public housing as impoverished Americans wait
Want some perspective on why so many blue sanctuary cities have so many homeless encampments hovering around?
Try the reality that illegal immigrants are routinely given free public housing by the U.S., based on the fact that they are uneducated, unskilled, and largely unemployable. Those are the criteria, and now importing poverty has never been easier. Shockingly, this comes as millions of poor Americans are out in the cold awaiting that housing that the original law was intended to help.
Thus, the tent cities, and by coincidence, the worst of these emerging shantytowns are in blue sanctuary cities loaded with illegal immigrants - Orange County, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, New York...Is there a connection? At a minimum, it's worth looking at.
The Trump administration's Department of Housing and Urban Development is finally trying to put a stop to it as 1.5 million illegals prepare to enter the U.S. this year, and one can only wonder why they didn't do it yesterday.
According to a report in the Washington Times:
The plan would scrap Clinton-era regulations that allowed illegal immigrants to sign up for assistance without having to disclose their status.
Under the new Trump rules, not only would the leaseholder using public housing have to be an eligible U.S. person, but the government would verify all applicants through the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database, a federal system that’s used to weed illegal immigrants out of other welfare programs.
Those already getting HUD assistance would have to go through a new verification, though it would be over a period of time and wouldn’t all come at once.
“We’ve got our own people to house and need to take care of our citizens,” an administration official told The Washington Times. “Because of past loopholes in HUD guidance, illegal aliens were able to live in free public housing desperately needed by so many of our own citizens. As illegal aliens attempt to swarm our borders, we’re sending the message that you can’t live off of American welfare on the taxpayers’ dime.”
The Times notes that the rules are confusingly contradictary, and some illegal immigrant families are getting full rides based on just one member being born in the U.S. The pregnant caravaner who calculatingly slipped across the U.S. in San Diego late last year, only to have her baby the next day, now, along with her entire family, gets that free ride on government housing. Plus lots of cheesy news coverage about how heartwarming it all is. That's a lot cheaper than any housing she's going to find back in Tegucigalpa.
Migrants would be almost fools not to take the offering.
The problem of course is that Americans who paid into these programs, and the subset who find themselves in dire circumstances, are in fact being shut out.
The fill-the-pews Catholic archbishops may love to tout the virtues of illegal immigrants and wave signs about getting 'justice" for them, but the hard fact here is that these foreign nationals are stealing from others as they take this housing benefit under legal technicalities. That's not a good thing under anyone's theological law. But hypocrisy is comfortable ground for the entire open borders lobby as they shamelessly celebrate lawbreaking at the border, leaving the impoverished of the U.S. out cold.
The Trump administration is trying to have this outrage fixed by summer. But don't imagine it won't be without the open-borders lawsuits, the media sob stories, the leftist judges, and the scolding clerics.
Los Angeles County Pays Over a Billion in Welfare to Illegal Aliens Over Two Years

In 2015 and 2016, Los Angeles County paid nearly $1.3 billion in welfare funds to illegal aliens and their families. That figure amounts to 25 percent of the total spent on the county’s entire needy population, according to Fox News.
The state of California is home to more illegal aliens than any other state in the country. Approximately one in five illegal aliens lives in California, Pew reported.
Approximately a quarter of California’s 4 million illegal immigrants reside in Los Angeles County. The county allows illegal immigrant parents with children born in the United States to seek welfare and food stamp benefits.
The welfare benefits data acquired by Fox News comes from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services and shows welfare and food stamp costs for the county’s entire population were $3.1 billion in 2015, $2.9 billion in 2016.
The data also shows that during the first five months of 2017, more than 60,000 families received a total of $181 million.
Over 58,000 families received a total of $602 million in benefits in 2015 and more than 64,000 families received a total of $675 million in 2016.
Robert Rector, a Heritage Foundation senior fellow who studies poverty and illegal immigration, told Fox the costs represent “the tip of the iceberg.”
“They get $3 in benefits for every $1 they spend,” Rector said. It can cost the government a total of $24,000 per year per family to pay for things like education, police, fire, medical, and subsidized housing.
In February of 2019, the Los Angeles city council signed a resolution making it a sanctuary city. The resolution did not provide any new legal protections to their immigrants, but instead solidified existing policies.
In October 2017, former California governor Jerry Brown signed SB 54 into law. This bill made California, in Brown’s own words, a “sanctuary state.” The Justice Department filed a lawsuit against the State of California over the law. A federal judge dismissed that suit in July. SB 54 took effect on Jan. 1, 2018.
According to Center for Immigration Studies, “The new law does many things: It forbids all localities from cooperating with ICE detainer notices, it bars any law enforcement officer from participating in the popular 287(g) program, and it prevents state and local police from inquiring about individuals’ immigration status.”
Some counties in California have protested its implementation and joined the Trump administration’s lawsuit against the state.
California’s campaign to provide public services to illegal immigrants did not end with the exit of Jerry Brown. His successor, Gavin Newsom, is just as focused as Brown in funding programs for illegal residents at the expense of California taxpayers.
California’s budget earmarks millions of dollars annually to the One California program, which provides free legal assistance to all aliens, including those facing deportation, and makes California’s public universities easier for illegal-alien students to attend.
According to the Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers 2017 report, for the estimated 12.5 million illegal immigrants living in the country, the resulting cost is a $116 billion burden on the national economy and taxpayers each year, after deducting the $19 billion in taxes paid by some of those illegal immigrants.
