NAFTA JOE BIDEN - FOLKS, OUR BORDERS ARE WIDE OPEN FOR NARCOMEX AND CHINA - THAT DOESN'T MEAN I'M A SLUT FOR THE MEX DRUG CARTELS JUST BECAUSE THEY VOTED FOR ME

THERE IS NO GREATER THREAT TO AMERICA THAN JOE BIDEN!

As Breitbart News reported, the latest projections estimate that Biden will set another illegal immigration record this year with 2.6 million border crossers and illegal aliens being apprehended. This figure does not include any of the known and unknown got-away illegal aliens who successfully made their way into the U.S. interior.

Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) said that China is “exploiting” President Joe Biden’s “weakness” with the spy balloon hovering over America and declared that the United States’s “national security must not be compromised by Biden family payoffs.”

Miller’s comments came in a tweet Friday morning as the Pentagon says the espionage device is expected to linger in United States airspace for a “few days,” as Breitbart News reported. The Congresswoman also called for the House of Representatives to “investigate why China is confident Biden will not respond to their hostile actions.”

Tom Fitton, president of government watchdog group Judicial Watch, shared a similar thought to Miller’s, asserting Friday that the Biden Family’s “corruption dealings” help to “explain why Biden is allowing in plain sight brazen violation of our sovereignty and attack on our national security by Chinese spy balloon.”

As President of the Government Accountability Institute and Breitbart News Senior Contributor Peter Schweizer documented in depth in his book, Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win, the Biden Family has scored tens of millions of dollars through lucrative business deals with individuals tied to the top echelons of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

The deals in which Hunter Biden was directly involved were conducted during and after President Joe Biden’s time as vice president, scoring the Biden family $31 million, according to Schweizer, who has emphasized this indicates a national security risk rather than the mere usual corruption or cronyism often documented in Washington, DC.

A key theme throughout Schweizer’s book is the espionage concept of “elite capture,” a way “to essentially buy off members of a country’s leadership.”

During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight following the book’s release, Schweizer explained the CCP’s perspective on the “elite capture” strategy to keep America docile:

… the theory is pretty simple, “You know, the United States is our rival, even our enemy, instead of going head to head with it, why don’t we just kind of pay off certain elements of the leadership. If we can capture them with sweetheart deals, with other benefits, we can effectively lobotomize the United States by making them unresponsive to our threat.”

As Breitbart News’s Emma-Jo Morris noted last year:

Schweizer explains that Beijing saw a financial relationship with the Bidens as an opening for “elite capture,” which allowed Hunter Biden to secure meetings and score major deals with people in the highest levels of Chinese financial institutions and the Chinese Communist Party — and in return they would be able to leverage the Bidens’ power for their interests.

One of the central early players in the Bidens’ Chinese deals is a tycoon by the name of Che Feng, or “The Super Chairman,” as Hunter and his partners referred to him.

Che, the son of a PLA soldier, has been described in Western media as “a shadowy and discreet investor,” whose father-in-law was the governor of the People’s Bank of China, and whose business partner was the Vice Minister of State Security, a man by the name of Ma Jian. Schweizer writes that Ma was reportedly the director of the ministry’s No. 8 Bureau, overseeing North American operations targeting foreigners with its counterintelligence apparatus.

The Super Chairman was meant to “fuse Chinese financial might to those with access to the highest levels of power in the Western world,” which led to the creation of Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), “funded by China’s biggest government-backed financial institutions,” with the Biden scion and his American partners.

Though Ma Jian and Feng were arrested on money laundering charges, ultimately pushing them out of the BHR deal, Feng played a key role in helping Hunter Biden establish connections to other players cozy with the CCP.

It was through Feng that Hunter Biden met Zhao Xuejun – who established the Harvest Management Fund and was a co-founder of Harvest Global Investments. His fellow Harvest Global Investments co-founder, Jia Liqing, is the daughter of former Security State Minister Jia Chunwang, as Schweizer noted. He quotes from the book Chinese Spies: From Chairman Mao to Xi Jinping by Robert Falligut, who wrote that the Security state is “in charge of secret service, espionage, and domestic and overseas intelligence work,” and Schweizer asserted about Jia Chunwang, “[t]here is no one more powerful in the world of Chinese intelligence.”

Schweizer wrote:

The seductive and lucrative deal that Hunter was now putting into place, creating BHR, involved two financiers with ties to the highest levels of Chinese intelligence, a billion-dollar private equity deal that we first exposed in Secret EmpiresWhat we now know are the roles played by the spy-connected “Super Chairman” and Zhao.

According to Michael Lin, another Chinese partner, Hunter’s role in the venture was pretty straightforward: “Open as many doors as possible in the western world for this very famous Bohai professional team.” There was also the expectation that Hunter and his partners would ‘join some of the meetings in HK and China they arrange’ when communicating with possible financial partners.

As Schweizer noted, the final negotiations of the deal were conducted in the Spring of 2013, and though Hunter has claimed he was not present for talks, Secret Service travel records indicated that he traveled to Beijing between June 13-15, 2013. Months later, in December, he was flying to Beijing on Air Force Two with then-Vice President Biden, who was in China to meet with state officials. Per Red-Handed,  it’s unclear what Hunter was doing during the winter trip.

“Ten days later, the BHR company was registered in Beijing,” Schweizer wrote in Red-Handed.

Eventually, the firm began “buying or investing in strategically important companies in China and the United States,” according to Schweizer, who also authored the best-seller Clinton Cash.

A company called China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), later discovered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to be a vehicle for nuclear espionage, became one of BHR’s early investments. The Department of Justice charged the company and one of its engineers, Allen Ho, “with stealing nuclear secrets from the United States.”

Citing court documents, Schweizer noted that Harvest Global Investments appeared to wire $5 million to Burnham, another Hunter Biden business, and combined with the BHR deal, the Biden family had received some $25 million, according to Red-Handed.

As time went on, Hunter was also introduced to a man named Ye Jiemaing (Jainming), a young business tycoon who was the founder and the then-chairman of CEFC China Energy. Hunter and Ye, the elite of the China elite, grew so close that Hunter texted his ex-business partner Tony Bobulinski informing him that they signed “an attorney client engagement letter” in the United States, with Hunter serving as his “personal counsel.” Hunter also aided in efforts to advance the company’s scope on the global stage with “vast energy holdings” in “Oman, Romania, Columbia, and Luxembourg,” Schweizer reported.

Like Biden’s other Chinese business associates, Ye has connections to the CCP, according to Schweizer:

CEFC was housed in a complex in Shanghai’s French Concession section, an area “primarily controlled by China’s military.” One of Ye’s early business partners was the granddaughter of “one of the founders of China’s military,” Marshal Ye Jianying.

The corporate logo of the company Hunter Biden was now advising, and which would pay him millions, features a star. According to company records on its English website, it represents ‘civil rights.’ However, on the company’s Chinese-language site, the star signifies that ‘this organization will play a strong and powerful role for the interests of the Chinese state and nation.

CHINA – May 19, 2022: In this photo illustration, a CEFC logo, which features a star, is displayed on the screen of a smartphone. (Photo Illustration by Sheldon Cooper/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images)

Additionally, the CEFC supplied the People’s Liberation Army with oil and “saw itself as playing a central role in advancing China’s Belt and Road Initiative.”

In exchange for his work in trying to expand CEFC’s global reach, Hunter Biden was compensated with a 20 percent equity stake, and an $850,000 salary, which he reportedly griped was not enough. Ten percent of the equity Hunter held was for “the Big Guy,” who Schweizer identified as Joe Biden. It was through Ye that Hunter Biden met Gongwen Dong, who worked as the chairman’s “emissary” and was the then-chief financial officer of Lam Ting Keung’s Radiance Property Holdings, based in Beijing. Keung has “deep connections to ‘united front’ groups linked to Chinese intelligence” and “is also a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a high-ranking Communist party advisory body,” Schweizer emphasized.

“Hunter would set up two entities with Ye, Hudson West IV and SinoHawk, to allow the Chairman to invest in U.S. infrastructure,” Breitbart News’s Morris noted.  “In total, the Biden family received some $6 million from Ye’s companies.”

During a Newsmax appearance last year, Schweizer said, “Each and every one of those businessmen has direct ties to the highest levels of Chinese intelligence, meaning they’re business partners with the vice minister for State Security or they’re business partners with family members of the minister of State Security.”

Schweizer added:

It’s shocking to me that other media outlets, mainstream media, is not pursuing this story because it’s not a story of corruption anymore or cronyism — it’s of national security. And I think it raises questions — very serious questions — about the fact that the Biden family may be compromised.

Additionally, Red Handed reveals donations from communist China to the University of Pennsylvania nearly tripled after the university announced the launch of the Biden Center in February 2017. Notably, the Penn Biden Center is where some of the classified documents from Biden’s time as Vice President were recently found.

“In the three years before the announcement, the university received around $15 million. In the three years after, the total was close to $40 million. The latter number is $60 million from China if you include contracts,” Schweizer writes in Red-Handed.

Schweizer notes that Tony Blinken worked as the Penn Biden Center’s managing director for a period “before heading off to work on the presidential campaign in 2019.”

Now, Blinken is Biden’s secretary of state, “a role in which he was famously ambushed and curb-stomped by Chinese diplomats during his first bilateral conference with them in March,” Breitbart News’s John Hayward pointed out.

Additionally, Blinken has done nothing about China’s refusal to take back their illegal aliens who arrive at the southern border.

Washington D.C. (February 1, 2023) -- A new video from the Center for Immigration Studies highlights the role the Mexican cargo train system, “La Bestia”, plays in transporting migrants from deep in Mexico to the U.S. southern border. Tens of thousands of mostly Central Americans and Venezuelans travel on the “death train”, getting a free ride north and avoiding Mexico’s temporary visa requirement.

Todd Bensman, the Center’s senior national security fellow, narrates his video that starts with the migrants jumping the trains in Monterrey, Mexico, 250 miles from the U.S. border. Past presidents, like President Obama, realized that U.S. border numbers are fueled in part by the large number of migrants riding "The Beast” and successfully worked to have the Mexican government crack down on the dangerous practice. President Biden met with the president of Mexico recently, but there was no public mention of stopping this popular illegal path to the U.S. border.

As Breitbart News reported, the latest projections estimate that Biden will set another illegal immigration record this year with 2.6 million border crossers and illegal aliens being apprehended. This figure does not include any of the known and unknown got-away illegal aliens who successfully made their way into the U.S. interior.

Immigration Parole Explained
Executive branch usurping congressional authority

Washington, D.C. (February 2, 2023) – In early January the Biden administration, without the approval of Congress, announced a new immigration program, granting parole to 360,000 foreign nationals from Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. In this week’s episode of Parsing Immigration Policy, the Center for Immigration Studies’ Andrew Arthur joins host Mark Krikorian to put this Biden expansion of parole authority in context, citing the creation of the parole authority, later congressional limitations, and historical use by the executive.

The Biden administration continues to abuse parole authority at an ever increasing rate. Parole was established by Congress to provide authorization for the executive – in very narrow circumstances – to allow foreign nationals into the country who are inadmissible by law. Over the last two years, a Democratic-controlled Congress limited the amount of detention space for illegal aliens at the request of the Biden administration, which then used the lack of space as an excuse to release illegal migrants into the country who are mandated by law to be detained.

Without action from Congress, states have had to take on this executive overreach in court, protecting the separation of powers outlined in the Constitution. But the Biden administration began the new parole program despite two court challenges to the executive abuse of parole, Texas v. Biden and Florida v. United States. Now the administration is being sued by 20 states for its latest parole program, in Texas v. DHS.

State court cases have brought the third branch of government, the judicial branch, into the immigration policy arena despite SCOTUS being very clear that immigration policy is the role of the legislative branch. Will Congress cede its authority on immigration to the executive? Will the new Republican House majority cut off funding for all parole programs?

In his closing commentary, host Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center, draws attention to the case of an Iranian national who was apprehended trying to cross the border in the trunk of a car. There has been conflicting information on whether he is on a terror watch list, but Krikorian explains that it doesn’t really matter – either way, Iranians being smuggled across the border represent a national security problem.

Whether it's illegals or balloons, Joe Biden fails to protect the U.S.

Joe Biden has been hit by crisis after crisis as a result of his own bad decisions, and oddly enough, they are starting to look alike.

Take the latest China balloon incursion, where some kind of spying device has been sent over military installations throughout the U.S. interior, with Biden doing nothing about it.

That's a sovereign violation that ought to be drawing a major response to an arrogant, expanding wannabe superpower desperate to flex is military muscles, yet Joe's response, that shooting the invading device down might create debris or hit a populated area (America is loaded with unpopulated ones the balloon is traversing) is simply pathetic.

Is it all that different from his open borders policies, where millions of unvetted foreign migrants are flooding into this country without authorization, bringing crime, drugs, and costs, yet there too nothing is done about it? Joe offers an absurd excuse for that decision, as well claiming that all migrants who can utter the magic word 'asylum' are entitled to a free ride inside the U.S. for years or more, amounting to an all-expenses paid trip for thousands.

What we see here is a failure to protect, the prime duty of any leader of a nation, and an indifference to duty. Years ago, over at the United Nations, Samantha Powers and her ilk, writing about Rwanda, even came up with the concept of "duty to protect" on humanitarian grounds, claiming that all nations have an obligation to prevent genocide. Duty and protection has an odd parallel to the archetypical concept of manhood, as it's a manly virtue to protect one's own and immediate community, a masculine virtue that, to look at his fatherhood output, Joe's never had.

Now that the nation is being invaded from its south and now from above, Joe's excusemaking for doing nothing rather resembles that of a slovenly absentee father who lets his kids grow up with no guidance, like stones in the field, with the predictable outcome of Hunter Biden.

Duty to protect? Sure, Biden protects Hunter now from the inevitable results of how he was raised the way some divorced fathers shower gifts on their kids to assuage their guilt complexes at being absent from their lives. Tucker Carlson had an even better comparison, though in this piece described by Thomas Lifson -- Biden protects Hunter from the inevitable consequences of his dissolute actions the same way Saddam Hussein protected Uday and Qusay from any repercussions from their out-of-control behavior. The time to protect was when the kids were growing up, not after they became runaway trains without brakes.

And in some parallel way, we see the same Joe Biden failing to protect the U.S. when it's important to protect the U.S. He's allowing Mexico to flood the U.S. border with literally millions of illegals from more than a hundred nations and he's allowing China to flood the U.S. with spy balloons which can linger and view U.S. installations, gathering intelligence, for far longer than satellites on fixed orbits. He might try to protect the U.S. in a military attack or some kind of other attack as a public relations measure, but not when the groundwork is being set.

His entire orientation is about protecting himself politically through public relations moves, not about protecting the country for real, which is his job as president.

On the border, we have seen the suppression of news about the incoming disaster. It only got out of control for Biden when mayors from blue sanctuary cities where migrants were being bused in from Texas and Florida, started complaining about incoming numbers and the associated costs. Border visits from Bidenites were non-existent, the border crisis was fobbed off to an incompetent vice president, Kamala Harris, who had little interest in the job, and vigorous efforts were made to shut down Fox News coverage. Now they are attempting to lower the illegal crossing numbers by encouraging migrants to enter through an online asylum program, which ensures that their entry will not be counted as an illegal crossing. They are even recruiting illegals waiting in Mexico to get those numbers down.

Suffice to say, this is all about public relations.

We see the same public relations orientation in Biden's foolish response to the Chinese spy balloon incursion. Anybody notice who's being trotted out to give Jen Psaki-level absurd answers to press queries? It's not the suited John Kirby anymore, it's generals with all their medals on display, their scrambled eggs and the full regalia, which it's dubious they wear on the job every day, sending out a message that they are big and distinguished people, authorities, to make up for the fact that they don't speak with much authority. They are redolent of Gen. Mark Milley, who liked to wear his many medals on his overweight frame, similar to a Venezuelan general, yet was the height of incompetence in that Afghanistan pullout as well (another unmanly failure to protect) as in his bizarre phone conversations with a Chinese military leader assuring that he'd made sure they'd have nothing to worry about from his commander-in-chief.

Whose side was he on?

We see the same Milleyism with the balloon. Duty to protect? Only to themselves. These aren't men, they are what Marine sergeants call 'maggots.' And this is a sorry pattern we are seeing over and over with the Biden regime, a studied failure to protect the U.S. from any kind of danger, with only P.R. to throw like biscuits at the groundings.

Whatever it is, it's not a sustainable model in a free society, which requires a strong and protective leader. Now, there may be reasons for Joe's failure to shoot the balloon down, noted here, but the response is important, too, and Joe's not doing it. I did a radio interview yesterday with the great Shaun Thompson of Salem Radio AM 560, and he wondered if this Chinese balloon incident might just be a tipping point with Joe and the public. I think he's onto something. You don't fail at that elemental a level, on a right-stuff sort of an issue, like protecting the country as its commander in chief, without consequences. That's a character issue.

What happens to leaders who fail in their elemental duties to protect on the most basic level and the spin is no longer working? It's not a pretty picture.

The propaganda media, working with the Department of Justice, to obscure the Biden family's long history of corruption was remarkable.  The tell-all interview regarding the long partnership between a Chinese energy firm and the Biden family by Hunter Biden's partner, Tony Bobulinski, on the Tucker Carlson show was squashed.  The FBI did a marvelously malevolent job lying to the American people regarding the content and even the existence of Hunter Biden's laptop.

Texas Cops, Feds Clash over Operation Targeting Cartel Human Smuggling Deaths

While U.S. prosecutors claim to be taking a hard stance against human smuggling, a local Texas police chief is calling out lacking cooperation and promptness from federal authorities in the wake of deadly human smuggling incidents.

“Today we are celebrating our failure,” said Port Mansfield Police Chief David Mayes after a conference where federal prosecutors announced the arrests of six suspects in connection with two human smuggling incidents which killed at least eight migrants. “We are celebrating [the smugglers’] failure. It sounds somewhat harsh, but we only catch them when they mess up. This happens every day. They use the waterways because there is no one looking.”

On Friday morning, several law enforcement figures gathered at the federal courthouse in Brownsville to announce the arrests of six members of a human smuggling organization linked to the two deadly cases. Dubbed Operation Justice For All, U.S. Attorney Alamdar Hamdani revealed that the effort included federal, state, and local authorities who worked to track down six members of the organization in a ongoing case.

Authorities identified the suspects as 39-year-old Juan Manuel Tena; 37-year-old Julia Isairis Torres; 33-year-old Israel Torres Jr.; 21-year-old Erasmo Garcia III; 21-year-old Alexis Rafael Adorno; and 26-year-old Jose Refugio Torres. The suspects are all from Texas. Federal prosecutors obtained an indictment on January 10 and arrested them this week. Court documents revealed that a seventh suspect is at large.

One of the cases took place in February 2022 when a boat filled with migrants traveling from South Padre Island to Corpus Christi capsized near Port Mansfield, killing four migrants and one human smuggler while seriously injuring two others. The remains of a ninth migrant have yet to be found.

The second case took place in March 2019 when human smugglers were moving migrants from the Rio Grande Valley to Houston in a pickup when the vehicle rolled over, killing four migrants and injuring several others.

During the news conference, the U.S. Attorney would not comment on the involvement of the Gulf Cartel with the human smuggling cases. However, law enforcement sources confirmed to Breitbart Texas that the group was in fact connected to the Gulf Cartel, the dominant criminal organization in the region.

After the news conference, Port Mansfield Police Chief David Mayes said his department was the first on the scene in 2022. He said federal authorities initially assisted with the search for the other victims, but federal prosecutors did not take the case until Texas Rangers obtained warrants. According to Mayes, there was no cooperation with federal prosecutors and it was not until the news conference when he was able to learn who was arrested.

Breitbart Texas was able to find warrants for multiple counts of manslaughter filed against some of the alleged human smugglers at the 197th Texas State District Court in Willacy County in April 2022.

Breitbart Texas asked Hamdani what had happened between the filing of the initial warrants in state court and the handing down of the federal indictment nine months later. The U.S. Attorney stated that he could only comment on the contents of the federal indictment.

According to Mayes, cartel smugglers use rough weather and tides as cover to move migrants knowing there is minimal patrolling from law enforcement. He revealed that in addition to the limited resources of his small department, the Texas Game Wardens are the only other authorities consistently out in that area finding smugglers.

“Lives are lost,” the chief said. “We have multiple situations where someone reports to us that they saw someone get swept out to sea. These are deaths that will never have a name.”

Pompeo: Biden’s Weakness on Spy Balloon Assures Chinese Aggression

Steps the Biden administration should take in response to China's reconnaissance balloon

February 4, 2023

President Joe Biden’s weakness with China is once again on display. Earlier this week, U.S. officials tracked a Chinese reconnaissance balloon over the American mainland. A Chinese Communist Party spokesperson claimed this was nothing more than a "weather research" balloon that had simply blown off course. Sure, the CCP’s harmless weather balloon just happened to pass over multiple sensitive military sites vital to America’s national security—nobody should believe that nonsense, especially not the Biden administration.

Even if it were true, the CCP’s policy of civil-military fusion—which requires all available research and technology, from China's private sector or otherwise, to be shared with the Chinese military—makes such an excuse an impossibility. Thus, this appears to be an intentional act of espionage, and it signals that the CCP is feeling ever more emboldened with Biden in charge. If the Biden administration does not act to change this paradigm quickly, the threat of conflict will only continue to grow. Weakness breeds aggression. America must demonstrate clear strength and resolve.

This is far from the first time the CCP has engaged in acts of espionage against the American people. China is, and has been for years, aggressively engaged in acts of espionage and propaganda against the American people at all levels of American society. The threat from the CCP is very real here at home, in places like Des Moines, Tallahassee, and Pittsburgh. Its malign activity doesn’t stay in Beijing or Wuhan; it is already inside our gates.

The CCP has targeted officials in our federal government, like congressman Eric Swalwell and Senator Dianne Feinstein, as well as our universities, local governments, media, think tanks, and more. The CCP underwrote a program of "Confucius Institutes" at American universities, ostensibly to foster cultural connections on our campuses, but in reality, to spy on students and professors and steal intellectual property. China’s economy was built on the backs of Americans not only by taking American jobs but also, crucially, by an unparalleled campaign of corporate espionage that has robbed Americans of billions of dollars’ worth of intellectual property. Even seemingly innocuous apps like TikTok have been revealed to be little more than tools for collecting the private information of Americans and spreading CCP propaganda.

Instead of falling back on diplomatic platitudes and White House press releases about "deep concern" in the face of these threats, the Trump administration took action. We refused to give an inch to the CCP’s malign actions against the American people. As secretary of state, when I learned that the largest spy ring in American history was operating out of the Chinese Consulate in Houston, we shut it down. For years, American officials had turned a blind eye to its operations, fearing what the CCP would do in retaliation if we put an end to it. This was nothing more than weakness, which only reinforced the CCP’s confidence that it could continue to steal from the American people and get away with it. I refused to let that continue on my watch, so I summoned the Chinese ambassador and told him he had 72 hours to get his people out of the consulate. Despite his protests that the CCP had nothing to hide there, just hours after the announcement news broke that the Houston Fire Department was responding to fires at the consulate. They were burning the evidence.

That wasn’t all. We campaigned to shut down every single Confucius Institute in the United States, and we nearly succeeded. We began the process of banning TikTok, an effort which continues across the country at state and local government, and even recently in Congress. I traveled across the United States and spoke to everyone from local governments to state governors to alert them to the dangers posed by the Chinese Communist Party. I did this because the CCP’s actions threaten the United States at every level, and inaction only invites the CCP to escalate its actions.

If the Biden administration wishes to reestablish the relationship of deterrence and reciprocity we cultivated with Xi’s regime, it must take the following steps:

First, the balloon should be safely brought down in a manner that minimizes risk to American civilians and that allows its contents to be recovered. Then, the content and purpose of the balloon should be made entirely public. The American people deserve to know what they are up against.

Second, we should examine every part of the surveillance balloon, determine the manufacturer of each, and sanction them accordingly. Companies around the world need to be on watch to ensure their high-tech parts are not being used by the Chinese government.

Third, the Biden administration must take the threat posed by the CCP seriously. China has been waging economic warfare against the American people for decades, but Biden still fights to cooperate with them on issues like climate change. This must end.

Fourth, Secretary of State Antony Blinken should use planned travel to the region to consult with allies, partners, and friends on further actions that will deter any more of Xi Jinping’s adventurism and hare-brained schemes.

Lastly, America must demand reciprocity. If China doesn’t allow Americans to purchase farmland next to their military installations, we shouldn’t either. If China doesn’t allow our diplomats to move freely across China, then Chinese diplomats shouldn’t be able to either. If Americans can’t get research jobs at top installations in Beijing, then Chinese researchers shouldn’t be able to get jobs here either.

The CCP’s spy balloon is a symptom of the Biden administration’s weakness, not only in relation to the People’s Republic of China, but to America’s adversaries writ large. Xi noted Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, a complete debacle that made America look weak and indecisive. He watched Russia hack American pipelines and noted Biden’s failure to impose any real costs on Vladimir Putin. He watched Putin’s provocations prior to the invasion of Ukraine, and noted Biden’s allowance that a "minor incursion" would be permissible.

Now, he will watch Biden’s response to a CCP tool of espionage blatantly flying over sensitive American military sites. Failure to deal with the surveillance balloon sends a message of weakness, not strength, and reinforces Xi's decision to take advantage of this administration. President Biden must reassert American resolve, not continue to peddle American weakness. If he fails to do so, he will continue to invite greater risk to the safety of the American people.

GOP Demands 'Immediate Intelligence Briefing' on Chinese Balloon

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R., N.Y.) / Getty Images
February 3, 2023

House Intelligence Committee member and Republican Conference chairwoman Elise Stefanik (N.Y.) on Friday demanded "an immediate intelligence briefing" on the Chinese spy balloon floating over Montana.

"The Chinese Communist Party's violation of the United States' airspace and growing military aggression is a threat to our national security," Stefanik wrote in a press release. The congresswoman said she is demanding the briefing "so that we can know exactly how this happened and what malign intentions are behind this spying to ensure we hold China accountable."

Beijing on Friday admitted responsibility for the air balloon, claiming the "airship" was for "meteorological and other scientific research." The Pentagon has allegedly told President Joe Biden not to shoot down the balloon for fear of debris.

Stefanik joins several lawmakers in calling for Biden to take action in light of the balloon. "China's brazen disregard for U.S. sovereignty is a destabilizing action that must be addressed, and President Biden cannot be silent," said House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.).

Stefanik struck a similar note, saying Biden

must make sure the Chinese Communist Party

"does not violate American sovereignty again."

Climate Envoy John Kerry Faces Congressional Investigation Over 'Secret' Dealings With China

February 3, 2023

House Republicans announced Thursday they are investigating President Joe Biden's climate envoy John Kerry over his secret meetings with the Chinese Communist government.

House Oversight and Accountability Committee chairman James Comer (R., Ky.), who is leading the investigation, in a letter accused Kerry of making "secret agreements" with foreign governments such as China that harm U.S. national security.

"To date, you have failed to respond to any of our requests," Comer said. "Yet, you continue to engage in activities that could undermine our economic health, skirt congressional authority, and threaten foreign policy under the guise of climate advocacy."

The letter points to an interview Kerry gave in May 2022 in which he claimed to have worked with the Chinese to form a group to combat greenhouse gases. Kerry, who has flown more than 180,000 miles as climate czar, has until Feb. 16 to comply with the document requests.

Kerry ignored Republican questions when they were in the minority, Fox News reported.

The investigation announcement comes as a Chinese spy balloon was spotted this week floating over nuclear sites in Montana. Biden declined to shoot down the balloon, prompting backlash from Republicans who say Biden is jeopardizing national security.

Comer said he wants the documents related to Kerry's secret meetings with China in order to "understand" the climate envoy's "role and provide necessary transparency."

"As a member of the President’s cabinet, you should be representing the United States’ interests," the letter said. "Your statements, however, consistently show disregard for American national security and taxpayer dollars."

Kerry is the first person to hold the climate envoy position. It is within the State Department and has a budget of $13.9 million. Kerry has not responded to the letter.

Meet the Dark Money Group Helping Democrats Undermine Republican Investigations

The Congressional Integrity Project is gathering opposition research on Republicans probing the Biden family

Democrats are relying on a dark money group to stymie Republican investigations into President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

The Congressional Integrity Project will provide the Biden White House and congressional Democrats with poll data, political ads, and opposition research on Republicans leading investigations into the Biden family, CNN reported. House Republicans have made clear their intention to investigate the Biden family’s business dealings, the president’s handling of classified documents, the border crisis, and federal mismanagement of the coronavirus relief program.

Democrats’ collusion with the Congressional Integrity Project contradicts party leaders’ insistence that dark money has undue influence on Washington, D.C. For example, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D., Calif.), who took part in a press call with the Congressional Integrity Project this week, lamented in 2018 that "a flood of dark money is poisoning our democracy, letting deep-pocketed special interests prevent Congress from acting even on issues upon which we agree." Biden has asserted that "dark money erodes public trust."

The Congressional Integrity Project, which launched in 2020, does not disclose the identity of its ultimate donors, though tax filings show it receives virtually all of its money from the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a left-wing group dubbed the "indisputable heavyweight of Democratic dark money."

The Sixteen Thirty Fund has given $1.5 million to the Congressional Integrity Project since 2020, according to tax forms detailed by the Washington Examiner last year. The Congressional Integrity Project has reported that same amount in revenues, according to tax filings reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.

The Sixteen Thirty Fund also does not disclose its donors, though some of its backers have gone public with their support for the group. The billionaire Democratic donor George Soros has disclosed contributions of $24,930,000 to the Sixteen Thirty Fund in 2021 alone, according to its grants database.

While the Congressional Integrity Project is opaque about its funding sources, it is transparent about its goal of undermining Republican investigations.

Brad Woodhouse, a veteran Democratic strategist and senior adviser for the group, said last year they "will exploit every tactic available" to hinder the Republican probes. "It’s not enough to wait and see what they’re going to do and how far they’re going to go." Woodhouse, who attended a White House meeting with a group of Democratic operatives in September, recently told CNN that the group’s role is "to go on offense" against Republicans.

The Congressional Integrity Project has released a litany of press releases and research reports in recent weeks that paint Reps. James Comer (R., Ky.) and Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) as hypocrites on the issues on which they will investigate Biden.

Comer, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is investigating Biden’s family business dealings, with a focus on Hunter Biden’s activities in China. He is also investigating the federal government’s coronavirus relief program, which reportedly disbursed billions of dollars in fraudulent federal loans. Jordan, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, is turning his attention to the Biden administration’s handling of the border crisis. He has also sought records from the Justice Department on Biden’s handling of classified documents.

An example of the Congressional Integrity Project’s opposition research came this week in a hit piece on Comer. The group accused Comer of hypocrisy in his investigation of billions of dollars in fraudulent coronavirus relief payments, because the congressman’s brother received a $12,000 loan under the pandemic-era Paycheck Protection Program. While Comer’s brother is not accused of misusing the loan, the Congressional Integrity Project claimed without evidence that Comer had "padded his brother’s pockets."

While Republicans have scrutinized fraud in the Paycheck Protection Program, they have also said that the program was needed because of government-mandated lockdowns of businesses during the pandemic.

The Congressional Integrity Project, the White House, and Swalwell’s office did not respond to requests for comment.

Poll: Nearly Half of Americans Consider Biden’s Handling of Classified Documents a ‘Major Scandal’

Nearly half of Americans consider President Biden’s handling of classified documents a “major scandal,” a Rasmussen Reports survey released this week found.

The survey noted that a special counsel is investigating how classified documents — from Biden’s time as vice president during the Obama administration — ended up in multiple locations, including his Delaware home. When asked if it is a major scandal, minor scandal, or no scandal at all, nearly half, 48 percent, agreed it is a “major scandal.”

Nearly a quarter, 24 percent, consider it a “minor” scandal, and another 24 percent consider it “no” scandal at all. Four percent remain unsure.

Nearly three-quarters of Republicans, 73 percent, consider it a “major scandal,” as do 50 percent of independents and 23 percent of Democrats. A plurality of Democrats, 40 percent, do not believe it is scandal at all.

The survey also asked, “How likely is it that information from classified documents was used by Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, in his foreign business deals?”

Most believe it is at least somewhat likely, and of those, 44 percent believe it is “very” likely. Most, 59 percent, also at least somewhat agree that the Biden family has been “influence-peddling for a decade.”

The survey was taken January 26-29, 2023, among 900 likely U.S. voters and has a +/- 3 percent margin of error.

A recent survey from The Economist/YouGov found that more than three-quarters of Americans support a Department of Justice investigation into Biden over the classified documents found in multiple locations. Further, a CNN poll released last week found that 80 percent of Democrats, specifically, also support the DOJ’s appointment of a special counsel to investigate. Attorney General Merrick Garland made that announcement on January 12.

“I concluded that under the special counsel regulations, it was in the public interest to appoint a special counsel,” Garland said at the time, announcing that former U.S. attorney from Maryland Robert Hur will investigate.

FBI Searches for Classified Docs at Biden’s Delaware Beach House

FBI agents on Wednesday reportedly searched President Joe Biden’s Delaware beach house for classified documents.

According to CBS News, agents showed up at Biden’s home at Rehoboth Beach on Wednesday to conduct the search, which was consensual and planned with Biden’s attorneys in advance.

The search comes after reports this week that the FBI searched Biden’s Washington, D.C., think tank, the Penn Biden Center, in mid-November as part of the documents probe. The White House had failed to disclose that the search took place.

"Today, with the President’s full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware," Bob Bauer, a personal attorney for Biden, said in a statement.

"Under DOJ’s standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate," he added. "The search today is a further step in a thorough and timely DOJ process we will continue to fully support and facilitate. We will have further information at the conclusion of today’s search."

The documents saga started on Nov. 2 when Biden’s personal lawyer discovered classified documents at the Penn Biden Center, which the president formed in 2017. The Justice Department opened an inquiry into the matter on Nov. 14. Biden’s attorneys informed the agency on Dec. 20 that additional classified documents were found at the president’s house in Wilmington, Del. Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel on Jan. 12 to oversee the investigation.

Biden’s representatives have claimed that they searched Biden’s Rehoboth residence but did not find any classified materials.

Republicans have questioned why the White House waited more than two months to publicly disclose that the records had been found at Biden’s properties. Between 20 and 30 documents, some marked Top Secret, have been recovered. Documents found at the Penn Biden Center reportedly discussed Ukraine, Iran, and the United Kingdom.

ALL THEY NEEDED WAS A SOCIOPATH GAMER LAWYER AND BIDEN WAS STANDING NEXT IN LINE!

Biden was the Democrat left's version of the Trojan horse.  Get the 78-year-old inside the White House pretending to be a gift to the American people, and then let the real puppet masters emerge and change the nation's demographics, destroy the economy, and transform every social norm.

So Hunter Biden's 'masterpieces' aren't quite selling like hotcakes for top dollar

Is the Biden money-making machine gig up?

Sure looks like it, given the situation with artistic genius, Hunter Biden.

According to the Washington Free Beacon's Alana Goodman:

Hunter Biden is in financial turmoil after his paintings sold for less than the six-figure price tags estimated by his gallerist ...

The underwhelming sales have led Biden to consider launching a legal defense fund to help pay his mounting attorney bills stemming from a federal tax crime investigation and congressional inquiries into his foreign business dealings, the Washington Post reported.

Biden has sold around a dozen paintings "for a fraction of the $500,000 price tag once estimated" by his Manhattan gallerist Georges Berges, according to the Post. The congressional investigations into Biden have also spooked some prospective buyers, a source told the newspaper.

Leaving aside the issue of a legal defense fund and taking one step back, it appears that the art world wasn't exactly fooled by the hype and publicity about Hunter Biden's amazing and newly discovered art talent, with newbie paintings supposedly being ready to sell for $500,000 a pop and he never did become the hottest thing around at the galleries.

After all, that was the plan, wasn't it? The celebs showed up at his gallery opening, and the $500,000 sales estimates for his blow-pipe paintings suggested on paper at least that Hunter had some extraordinary talent, and collectors were just itching to get their hands on his glorious oeuvres. For a new artist to start selling paintings at $500,000, it would have to be someone from whom the demand was extraordinarily strong.

But that was the line fed to the public and oh, how certain art "experts" praised the hot new talent.

Here is what the New York Post reported in 2021:

Scandal-tarnished first son Hunter Biden’s newfound career as a painter may actually prove to be a success — as experts say his artwork is impressive and will fetch big bucks.

“I think it’s pretty strong — I like it,’’ Mark Tribe, chairman of the MFA Fine Arts Department at New York City’s School of Visual Arts, told The Post.

“The colors and compelling organic forms — it’s the kind of organic abstraction that I find easy on the eyes and provokes your curiosity,’’ Tribe said of the mixed-media paintings and drawings by President Biden’s son.

...and...

“I’ve been in the art business since 1956,’’ Alex Acevedo, 75, who owns the Alexander Gallery in Midtown Manhattan, told The Post.

“I’m not impressed with modern art at all. But I was floored by that guy,’’ he said of Hunter’s artwork.

“The palette was wonderful. The space was well-organized. I would buy a couple of them.

“And anybody who buys it would be guaranteed instant profit,” Acevedo added. “He’s the president’s son. Everybody would want a piece of that. The provenance is impeccable.’’

He also drew gushing profiles in the press about all his 'talent' from formidable sources, such as ArtNetNews and 60 Minutes, where he talked about all his "deep" thoughts.

And as for the gallery owner who's promoting this gig, Georges Bergès, the New York Times had doozy from him:

Mr. Biden’s art carries value because he is, by Mr. Bergès’s accounting, someone whose art will be remembered for a long, long time. He refers to a Biden painting as a “totem of reflection,” and with no hint of irony, he said: “Hunter will go down as a great artist for this century. If anything, his father will be known as the father of a great artist.”

Sounds legit.

Oh how he fooled them. Except that they weren't fooled. Nobody's giving him $500,000 for his paintings because they aren't worth $500,000, and not just that, if they did, everyone would know that paying that kind of cash to a guy whose entire career is based on influence-peddling and is now well-known to the public, would probably leave them exposed to congressional investigations or maybe even lawmen for bribery, which is what this entire operation looks like.

It also would diminish their prestige in the art world, telling everyone else in tout le monde of arts that they don't know much about how to find value in art after all. Those remarks cited by those supposed arts experts, quoted by the Post, are running liabilities now, given that the art world wasn't fooled by their toutings. They knew what was going on.

Here's the reaction of one heavyweight art critic who wasn't fooled, even before he heard any of the hype about Hunter or even knew anything about him, the estimable Jerry Saltz of New York magazine:

Saltz knows what art is and understands the art market as well.

Knowing what he is talking about, he read the scam correctly from the very beginning, as did actual artists, such as Rod Webber, whom I wrote about here.

Now with the sales flop, Hunter and his flatterers stand exposed for everyone else, the naked emperor with no clothes on in his court, which is kind of Hunter's taste anyway.

Democrats' Trojan horse is taking on a life of its own

A silly older man sniffing women was sold to the American people as the safe alternative to President Donald Trump.  Joe Biden's assignment was to wear a suit, read words on a teleprompter, and quip.

Biden was the Democrat left's version of the Trojan horse.  Get the 78-year-old inside the White House pretending to be a gift to the American people, and then let the real puppet masters emerge and change the nation's demographics, destroy the economy, and transform every social norm.

For two years, Biden did precisely what the Democrat socialists wanted him to do: run to podiums, mumble, and then wander away.  Smile, wave, and lie.  And in the process, the southern border became an open floodgate for illegal aliens and deadly drugs.  Inflation halted the buying power of most Americans, and American streets became crime-infested homeless camps.  Uncle Joe: the gift that kept on giving.

So the Trojan horse flawlessly performed the task it was designed to perform.  But now comes the glitch: lo and behold, the fake leader of the free world wants to stay.  Somehow, in all the confusion of corruption and millions of dollars flowing from China into the Biden coffers, Joe didn't read the memo that the charade is finished after one term.

The swamp has realized that the Trojan horse is no longer needed and has become a liability.  There are new Democrat communist plans for 2024, and they don't include uncle Joe.

The left will do what it always does when its power is in jeopardy: turn on itself.  And it looks as if Biden is holding the short end of the stick in the power struggle: the mishandling of top-secret documents that have always been handled as a nothingburger for guilty Democrats like Hillary Clinton will now somehow matter for Biden.

What happened in 2020 will be considered one of the darkest points in American politics and its history.  But this chapter does not close without benefits.  Hopefully, the American people, especially the youth, will realize that conservatives are not perfect, but they do love this country and individual freedom.  On the other hand, as far as the Democrat left is concerned, you are valuable only as long as you are helpful to the communist cause.

Democrat Border Policy: Let Business Hire Foreign Workers

Multiple Democrats used a Wednesday hearing to justify President Joe Biden’s lax border by arguing CEOs are entitled to hire more foreign workers.

“I don’t know about you all, but every CEO I talk to says we need a labor force,” Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX) declared during the day-long hearing of the House judiciary committee. “I have had CEOs from different parts of the country telling me “Can we have some of the asylum seekers in our community because we can’t get anybody to go to work?'” she added.

“Who brought food to our grocery stores and delivered goods to our doors?” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Ca) said about illegal migrants who comprise a small part of the nation’s food and transportation industries. “I want to say ‘Thank you for your courage — cur country is better off for having you here.'”

Congress must “make sure that we have the workforce that we need,” said Rep. Deborah Ross (D-NC). “In my State of North Carolina, that workforce comes from all corners of the world, but has insecurity about whether or not they’re going to be able to stay and whether or not their children are going to be able to stay,” she said, without mentioning the many American graduates who have been sidelined by the Fortune 500’s million-plus visa workers.

In contrast, GOP members of the committee strongly denounced Biden’s loose border, including GOP legislators who spotlighted Biden’s growing pocketbook damage to ordinary, non-political American families.

“The reality is that Joe Biden has enabled the largest human and drug trafficking operation in U.S. history,” said Harriet Hageman (R-WY), who defeated former Rep. Liz Cheney. Hageman continued:

It is the poorest US citizens who suffer the most when the government refuses to enforce our immigration laws …  with overextended services, lack of affordable housing, and the question of wages. This tragedy is not only man-made, it is government mandated, which is a tragedy and a legacy of this administration.

“What the Democrats have never explained, is how our schools are made better by packing classrooms with non-English-speaking students,” said Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Ca). He continued:

How our hospitals are made more accessible by flooding emergency rooms with illegals demanding car … How our children are made more secure with fentanyl pouring across our borders, or how working families are helped by flooding the labor market with cheap illegal labor.

“This is the nightmare that the Democrats have unleashed upon our country,” McClintock said.

The hearing was called by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the chairman of the judiciary committee. Many GOP legislators spoke at the hearing, including Rep.Chip Roy (R-TX), Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX), Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO), Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX),

Since 2021, Biden has imported roughly 3 million southern migrants, alongside the inflow of legal immigrants and temporary visa workers, such as H-1B workers for the Fortune 500. That inflow has delivered at least one foreign worker for every two Americans who entered the workforce in 2021 and 2022.

That huge inflow skews the marketplace incentive for CEOs against hiring old or slow Americans, training young Americans, investing in labor-saving technology, or recruiting sidelined Americans in often-ignored heartland states and rural towns.

Throughout the hearing, Democrats repeatedly invited their one witness — the elected leader of El Paso County — to defend their current policy.

That policy lets employers hire compliant and cheap migrants to replace Americans in decent jobs, or to work in such low-productivity jobs that employees also need federal aid.

Migrants “are extremely passionate — I wish most of our citizens have the passion and the desire to be in our country like they do,” said Ricardo Samaniego, a business owner and a former hiring manager at a cement company and a government contractor.

Samaniego continued:

They’re very passionate about coming here, extremely passionate about working. They all say the same thing, that they’re very willing and able to work here in the United States.

Samaniego said the migrants are wanted by employers in many states:

We get a lot of calls from a lot of states and cities throughout the country that want migrants, and if we do the right thing, and we process them [quickly], we can get the migrants to them as well as to help our community.

Samaniego lamented the growing public opposition to the cheap-labor migration that pushes down Americans’ wages and drives up their rents:

When politics enters, it sort of distracts us from doing what we need to do. But I think you would think at this point, that necessity would give us the way towards getting job creations … I ask two questions from every migrant … secondly, “What is it that you did in your country?” And I can tell you [they are] plumbers, teachers, bricklayers, agriculture… there’s no one that has said “I’m just a laborer …” They’ve worked in doing things that we need … Just in El Paso, right there on the border …. we could use 20 percent, especially in the service industries and the entertainment industries.

Many migrants are released into the United States after claiming they deserve asylum. But Samaniego denounced Congress’ law directing government officials to detain migrants until their asylum claims are resolved, saying:

I’m appalled when somebody has an idea like detaining them as a solution, when that’s the most impractical thing you could probably do.

Few GOP legislators directly denounced the Democrats’ push for more cheap imported labor. But many GOP legislators lashed the Democrats for their dismissal of the fentanyl crisis.

That crisis is worsened by the cartels’ use of labor migration to help get drugs past the overstretched border guards in the official entryways and the desert.

“As [economist] Milton Friedman said, you can have either an open border or you can have a welfare state,” noted Hageman.  It “is just an economic reality that you can’t have both,” she added.

The federal government has long operated an unpopular economic policy of Extraction Migration. This colonialism-like policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries and uses the imported workers, renters, and consumers to grow Wall Street.

The migrant inflow has successfully forced down Americans’ wages and also boosted rents and housing prices. The inflow has also pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors and contributed to the rising death rate of poor Americans.

The population inflow also reduces the political clout of native-born Americans, because it allows elites to divorce themselves from the needs and interests of ordinary Americans.

A 54 percent majority of Americans say Biden is allowing a southern border invasion, according to an August 2022 poll commissioned by the left-of-center National Public Radio (NPR). The 54 percent “Invasion” majority included 76 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats.

House Judiciary GOP Readies for Multi-Part Immigration Probe

The House Judiciary Committee will hold its first immigration hearing Wednesday as illegal crossings at the southern border continue to break records under President Joe Biden.

The committee’s hearing, called “Biden’s Border Crisis — Part One,” will kick off what is expected to be a series of hearings as the committee ramps up its scrutiny of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and works toward immigration reform legislation.

Locals impacted by the border crisis, including the stepfather of a 15-year-old boy who died from fentanyl and a county sheriff from southeastern Arizona, will testify at the hearing on Wednesday.

“You tell the people story, the human story about what’s happened now,” Judiciary chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) told Breitbart News.

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, joined at left by Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., speaks as the panel holds an emergency meeting to advance a series of Democratic gun control measures, called the Protecting Our Kids Act, in response to mass shootings in Texas and New York, at the Capitol in Washington, Thursday, June 2, 2022. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)

The “human story” is the first step for the committee in what is expected to be a three-pronged approach to addressing immigration problems, which have led to well over four million migrants flooding over the border illegally since Biden took office.

“We’ve had members talk about the implications on healthcare systems, education systems, on and on it goes in communities in their districts, which are not on the border,” Jordan observed.

The chairman said he was struck by a comment Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) made during last year’s annual consultation that the top Judiciary members in the House and Senate have with cabinet officials to assess refugee admission caps.

“First thing Durbin says is — he goes first on the question portion — and he says, ‘Last weekend I was at a shelter in Chicago where I saw 150 migrants from Texas because that governor sent people up here,’ and I’m like, holy cow, now the rest of the country is seeing what Texas and Arizona have been dealing with,” Jordan said.

In addition to highlighting how the border crisis is affecting everyday Americans — not just those in border states but those in states like Durbin’s in the Midwest — the other two prongs of the committee’s plan are to examine how the crisis is happening and to assess how to fix it.

Immigration reform, whether it comes in piecemeal or as an overhaul bill, typically must pass through the Judiciary Committee before the full House can consider it.

“We do anticipate passing immigration enforcement legislation out of our committee,” Jordan said. “It needs to pass if we’re actually going to fix the problem. Now, whether the Senate can pass it and Joe Biden would ever sign it, that’s a different story,” he added, alluding to the potentially insurmountable obstacle Republicans will face as they attempt to effectively legislate under a Democrat-controlled Senate and White House.

Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL) said, “I do indeed,” when asked by Breitbart News if he saw the Judiciary Committee passing an immigration bill.

In contrast to Jordan, a 16-year veteran of the committee, Moore is brand new to the panel this year and hoping its first hearing sheds light on the “humanitarian crisis” at the border.

“I’ve always believed a closed border is a compassionate border,” Moore said. “We’ve lost nearly 1,000 people crossing that border. We’ve had people left in vans. We’ve had people drown, and so it’s to bring attention to what we believe is a humanitarian crisis.”

In addition to legislative solutions, some on the committee, such as Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), are thirsting to hold DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Biden’s top border official, accountable for the crisis through impeachment, a rare move that would also fall under the jurisdiction of the Judiciary Committee.

Biggs has long sought to impeach Mayorkas and announced this week he plans to introduce impeachment articles against the border chief on Wednesday after the committee hearing.

Biggs’s articles will follow Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX) introducing articles of impeachment against Mayorkas in early January and now-Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) calling on Mayorkas to resign in November while hinting at considering impeachment.

Mayorkas, for his part, has appeared unfazed by Republican pressure.

In response to McCarthy’s resignation calls, Mayorkas said in early January during an appearance on ABC’s This Week that he has no intention of leaving his role.

He said, “I’ve got a lot of work to do. I’m proud to do it, alongside 250,000 incredibly dedicated and talented individuals in the Department of Homeland Security, and I’m going to continue to do my work.”

Hawley: Biden Administration Is Attempting to Wipe Out Blue-Collar Economy, Culture

1:39

Tuesday, during an appearance on FNC’s “Ingraham Angle,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) argued remaking the American economy was an objective of President Joe Biden and the Biden administration.

According to the Missouri Republican lawmaker, part of that was ending blue-collar work.

“Senator, now, they said inflation was transitory,” host Laura Ingraham said. “They said Russia’s economy would crumble under the sanctions. Of course, China did the big backdoor bailout buying their oil, there ag, other countries followed suit. Now we can go on and on with their failed predictions. Have they gotten anything right here?”

“No, they haven’t, Laura,” Hawley replied. “But I will tell you this. They are getting what they wanted in an ultimate sense, which is they want to remake our economy. Joe Biden wants to remake our economy such that we don’t have any more blue-collar work in this country. We don’t have jobs for working people. All of those folks have to depend on the government.”

“And all we have instead is this climate green economy, where you have to have a fancy degree, where you have to get a white-collar job in a big city,” he continued. “And if you want to live in the middle of the country, there are no jobs for you. That’s what they want. They don’t like blue-collar workers. They don’t like blue-collar culture. And so they’re trying to wipe it out by changing our economy. And Laura, they are succeeding. We have got to stop them.

Washington D.C. (January 27, 2023) -- Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security declared victory over the border crisis this week as a result of recent policy changes. They may come to wish they hadn’t.

With Eric Adams and other sanctuary mayors bemoaning the effects on their cities from a tiny sliver of the border surge, the administration responded with Biden’s short drop-in at the border, and certain policy changes. Those measures, billed as “New Border Enforcement Actions,” included applying Title 42 automatic expulsions to border-jumpers from four countries that had been exempt: Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela and Haiti.

That’s good as far as it goes. The number of people from those four countries arrested crossing the border illegally has reportedly dropped more than 90 percent over the past week. Illegals from those four countries made up about 38 percent of all border arrests in December, so if they’re out of the picture then January could see the lowest number of apprehensions since February 2021, when the new administration sparked the border crisis. The Biden-friendly media duly reported this new storyline, and can now go back to ignoring the border.

Internal DHS Emails Sound Alarm: Illegal Aliens Assaulting Agents, Trying to Escape from Custody

Border crossers and illegal aliens have attempted “escaping” from Department of Homeland Security (DHS) custody and tried “to overrun drivers,” among other things, agency emails reveal.

The emails, obtained by the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project, shed light on the chaotic day-to-day operations that agents must deal with at the U.S.-Mexico border since President Joe Biden implemented an expansive Catch and Release network.

In one email, Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz suggests that his agents and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are experiencing assaults at the hands of border crossers and illegal aliens as well as attempts to flee from custody.

“Our [Border Patrol] agents are being assaulted and we aren’t saying a word,” Ortiz wrote in a September 2021 email:

The bus contractors and pilots are dealing with Haitians escaping or trying to overrun drivers and we stay quiet. Agents and pro staff are working 14 hours days in difficult conditions, nothing said. We have to change the narrative or these stories will be the only story. [Emphasis added]

As Breitbart News reported, monthly illegal immigration to the U.S. hit a record high in December 2022 with more than 250,000 apprehensions at the southern border alone.

In addition, those illegal aliens who are successfully crossing the border reached nearly 88,000 last month. This figure comes after more than 73,000 illegal aliens successfully entered via the border in November 2022 — adding to the 600,000 illegal aliens who are known to have evaded Border Patrol in the last fiscal year.

These so-called “got-away” figures are on top of the tens of thousands of border crossers that Biden’s DHS is releasing into the U.S. interior every month. Over just a couple of summer months in 2021, for example, DHS released over 150,000 border crossers into American communities.

Though Biden’s DHS has drastically expanded its Catch and Release network at the border, the agency continues to hide the monthly number of border crossers who are directly released into the U.S. interior.

Rents Spike for Americans as Biden’s Migrants Fill Apartments

Half of American renters — or 25 million people — now spend more than 30 percent of their pre-tax income on housing amid President Joe Biden’s wage-cutting, rent-spiking welcome for mass migration.

“The national average rent-to-income (RTI) reached 30% for the first time in our 20+ years of tracking history, up 1.5% from year-ago,” said a housing report by the Wall Street firm of Moody’s Analytics.

“Rent … rose faster than incomes” in 75 metro areas, according to the report.

Back in 1999, rents consumed roughly 22.5 percent of the median income, the report said.

The median income is the mid-point in wages: Half of Americans earn more, and half earn less, than the median income.

“These trends on wages not keeping up with rents are exactly what anyone with a morsel of common sense knows will happen if immigration levels are too high,” said Andrew Good, at NumbersUSA.com. He added:

The American Dream for today’s Americans will only be pushed further out of reach unless we get serious about changing course. It is critically important that we reduce immigration unless we want to [change from] a middle class nation to a nation of renters.”

Since the 1970s, rents have risen in every state as Congress expanded the resident population of immigrants, especially after Congress doubled legal immigration in 1990. That immigrant population has grown from roughly 30 million in 1999 to almost 50 million in early 2023. The inflow raised housing costs just as inflation pumps up gasoline prices.

Rents rose by 8.7 percent in 2021 and 9 percent in 2022 as Biden’s huge inflow of roughly 3 million southern migrants pooled their low incomes to rent houses and apartments.

In contrast, rents rose by 3.6 percent per year during President Donald Trump’s low-migration term.

Coronavirus out-migration from major cities did reduce rent pressure in some major cities, the Moody’s Analytics report said. But “the South Atlantic and Southwest experienced the opposite due to strong in-migration,” the report noted.

For example, to keep pace with rising rents, wages would have to rise by more than 9.3 percent in Knoxville, Tennessee, 75 percent in Chattanooga, 8.9 percent in Charleston, South Carolina, and 6.6 percent in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, the report noted.

Rents in the South Atlantic states consumed almost 25 percent of median income, up from 21.8 percent in 2019.

Homes are cheaper in the low-migration midwest and southwest, where rents consumed 20 percent and 19 percent of median pre-tax income. But even in the south, many Americans are being pushed out of their homes. In Arizona, Scottsdale Realtors.com reported on January 14:

For the past few months, Morgan Rice has called Coconino National Forest home.

Rice and his girlfriend — along with their dog, Rio, and their cat, Kit — have been camping full-time in their 32-foot, 2006 Ford diesel van since August. When monthly rent for their one-bedroom apartment in Avondale increased from around $800 to over $1,300, the couple simply couldn’t keep up.

“They outpriced us,” Rice said.

Yet Democrats continue to push for more migration, even though the rising rents are forcing young Americans to delay marriage and move back to their parent’s homes.

Schumer

“We have a [U.S.] population that is not reproducing on its own,” Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) ADMITTED in November, before calling for even more migration:

The only way we’re going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants, the dreamers and all of them — because our ultimate goal is to help the Dreamers [illegals who were brought in by their parents] get a path to citizenship for all 11 million — or however many undocumented there are here [emphasis added].

New York rents take almost 70 percent of the median wage, yet Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is urging more migration into her high-rent, low-wage district.  On January 25, she and almost 80 other Democrats signed a letter to President Joe Biden asking for more migration:

We believe that your administration can and must continue to expand legal pathways for migrants and refugees into the United States — without further dismantling the right to seek asylum at our border.

The demand for more migration is also pushed by GOP donors, especially donors with large real-estate holdings.

Moody’s report, however, did not break out the impact caused by President Joe Biden’s policy of easy migration, which has added roughly 4 million legal and illegal migrants during 2022.

The Moody’s report was covered by the New York Times, but it also suppressed mention of immigration as it sketched rising costs:

“We’ve been moving in this direction for decades,” said Martha Galvez, the executive director of the Housing Solutions Lab at New York University’s Furman Center. “Since the ’70s, rents have been rising faster than incomes. And among lower-income households, high rent burdens have been the norm for a long time.”

Since January 2021, Biden’s migration has added at least 4 million southern migrants to the United States population, not counting at least two million legal immigrants and visa workers. Assuming six people per apartment, that’s an extra demand for roughly 700,000 apartments in two years when only 800,000 new apartments were completed.

Academic research says immigration drives up rents — and also spikes housing prices in nearby locations as Americans flee from the civic impact of the new migrants.

“Using data that span from 2002–2012, we find, as have others, that immigration inflows are associated with rising rents and prices,” according to a March 2017 study of almost 300 “Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA), titled “Immigration and housing: A spatial econometric analysis.” The summary reported:

An increase in the number of immigrants equal to 1 percent of an MSA’s total population was linked with a 0.8 percent increase in rents and a 0.8 percent increase in home prices.

This same increase in immigrants was associated with a 1.6 percent rise in rents and a 9.6 percent rise in home prices in surrounding MSAs.

Investors and analysts recognize the link between migration and housing costs — even as they also try to minimize public understanding of the link. For example, in 2018, an article in a real-estate publication noted that “immigration will be necessary to fuel multifamily housing demand.”

Immigrants now comprise roughly 14 percent — or one in seven — of all residents in the United States. That inflow has helped to spike rents and housing costs in California and other coastal states, especially when politicians and builders jointly roll back suburban zoning rules.

Biden’s multi-mullion person inrush is expected to continue in 2023 — and will likely push rents even higher amid a likely record production of 300,000 new apartments.

New York rents demand the largest share of median income, or almost 70 percent of the median wage, the report said. San Francisco fell to eighth place as prices surged in high-migration cities, such as Miami, Los Angeles, and Boston.

The report noted:

At the state level, three states topped the 30% rent-burdened threshold similar to Q3: Massachusetts (32.9%), Florida (32.6%), and New York (31.2%).

Over the past three years, Nevada (+4.9%), Florida (+4.8%), Alabama (+4.2%), South Carolina (+4.2%), Arizona (+4.1%), and New Mexico (4.0%) all experienced the highest increase in the state’s average rent burdening, attributed to significantly higher [greater than] (>~20%) rent growth than respective median household income growth during the three-year period.

But affordability declined the most in southern states, the report said. “Median household incomes were … not keeping pace with the rent growth, creating the biggest disparity in growth rates among all regions,” the report said:

The federal government has long operated an economic policy of Extraction Migration. This colonialism-like policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries and uses the imported workers, renters, and consumers to grow Wall Street and the economy.

Look At The Extreme Social Insanity That Is Spreading All Over America

The Inevitable Housing Crisis Is Killing The American Dream

Not so long ago, it was the American Dream that if you work hard enough, you can build a better, richer, and fuller future for yourself and your family. A big component of that American Dream was to own a house. Because that's how you create wealth for generations. But just a short quick look around you would be enough to establish that today's broken market is translating into a broken American Dream. Living a better life than the previous generation, in a home you own has become a pipe dream for millions Nearly 11 million low-income Americans are paying more than 50% of their annual income on housing. And it is still not enough because America is facing a critical housing shortage. Times of high inflation, a brewing mortgage crisis and a worsening homelessness epidemic have shattered the quality of American family life. But this is just the beginning and things will only get worse. In today's Video, we explain the inevitable housing crisis that is killing the American Dream. Affordable housing started to decline two decades ago, and it has only gone from bad to worse in the last few years. Just in the last two years, home prices are up more than 30 percent. And that's not the case in just a few BIG cities. In fact, the U.S. now has close to 500 cities where the average cost of a home is a million dollars. Just 12 months ago, a family that could earn $80,000 a year could afford payments on a modest home. But a year later, that income requirement has shot up to $108,000. So in one year, more than 4 million renter households can no longer buy a median-priced home. But if the rising costs were not enough, insane mortgage rates are making sure to price out the middle class completely. Mortgage rates are now increasing faster than in any period in recorded history. And in a matter of months, the typical cost of owning a home has gone up by tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Mortgage rates have escalated from less than 3 percent in 2021 to nearly 7 percent - the highest they have been in 20 years. This becomes an even bigger deal when you take into account the mass shortages of homes in America. The number of available homes today is 40 percent lower than it was just 2 years ago which means that millions will continue to be priced out. Experts connected to the housing market are warning that the inevitable housing crisis will be based on a single reality: Housing supply is at a record low and we aren't doing enough to change that. This supply shortage has left the country in need of at least 5 million housing units immediately. But the progress on that is nowhere to be seen. The housing shortage has become a chronic problem but there's no end in sight, especially, in the current climate of economic uncertainty. Ever-increasing interest rates, fears of an impending recession, and a choked supply chain mean that home builders are hesitant to go all out. So the housing gap becomes bigger and bigger. But even if more homes are built, it will not matter as affordability is moving towards an all-time low. And this is not a big city problem anymore. Years of neglect and months of economic chaos have ensured that home prices have soared all over the country. Even areas traditionally seen as affordable are no longer viable substitutes. The locations that were seen as alternative moving options are disappearing quickly. Failing to find starter homes that fit the already stressed budget, many Americans are pushed into Rental properties. But it shouldn't come as a shock to anyone that things are arguably worse there. As middle America fails to find affordable housing, millions of Americans face evictions and housing insecurity. The result is homelessness. What America needs is access to affordable housing as soon as possible. While millions risk falling into housing insecurity, the policymakers remain slow as ever. Unfortunately, things could get even worse. It took years to get to this point and it may take decades to get out of it.
