JOE BIDEN - AMERICA'S 'GOOD CATHOLIC' ABORTIONIST - AND YOUR TAX DOLLARS IS PAYING FOR IT! - Biden Pentagon Leaders Defend Using Taxpayer Money for Abortion Travel

PROFILE OF A SOCIOPATH GAMER LAWYER:

Catholic Joe could end up going down in history as one of the foremost enemies of the right to life. This would be an odd legacy for such an ostentatiously Catholic president, and it exposes Old Joe once again as the inveterate liar that he is. In fact, the one certain thing amid all this is that a foremost aspect of the Biden legacy will be a series of tremendous advances and victories for the Father of Lies.                                           ROBERT SPENCER

JOE BIDEN is known as a serial liar, a "public servant" who has somehow managed to accrue tremendous wealth, a race-baiting opportunist, Catholic-in-name-only, and a bought-and-paid-for politician in bed with criminal cartels and foreign foes.  In another era, Joe Biden would have been run out of his country much the same way Benedict Arnold was two and a half centuries ago; in an era when integrity, honor, fortitude, fidelity, and grit have been jettisoned for immorality, unscrupulousness, weakness, betrayal, and craven pliability, however, he is elevated to king sleazeball in a city drowning in sleaze. Biden’s Secretary of Defense Chooses Abortion Over Military Readiness

Abortion Uber Alles

Biden’s woke brass keep claiming that adopting every leftist agenda from DEI to abortion to sexual identity politics to HIV deployment is not interfering with military readiness in any way.

Except when they admit it themselves.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Tuesday said there will be “powerful effects” on military readiness if Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) continues to hold up more than 150 Pentagon nominees over an abortion policy in the Defense Department.

Austin told the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) the U.S. is facing “one of the most complex times” with foreign adversaries and approving the Pentagon’s nominees is “absolutely critical in terms of the impact on the force.”

“Not approving the recommendations for promotions actually creates a ripple effect in the force that makes us far less ready than we need to be,” the defense secretary said.

Approving any Biden nominations is more likely to harm our national security and military readiness than leaving a hole there.

But what Austin unintentionally admitted here is that pursuing the abortion policy is worth it even if it undermines military readiness. Austin could drop the policy or convince the Biden regime to drop its abortion agenda for the military rather than threaten military readiness. Here he admits that the consequences of the abortion policy threaten military readiness, but decides to stick with abortion over military readiness.

Abortion Uber Alles is the creed here. Military readiness can go to hell as long as there’s some shiny leftist object in the way.

Catholic Joe Biden Wants to Force Pro-Lifers to Pay for Abortions

“I go to Mass and I say the rosary."

9

One of the most revolting aspects of the sinister corruptocrat Old Joe Biden’s carefully cultivated public persona as affable Lunchbucket Joe is his ostentatious false piety. “I go to Mass and I say the rosary. I find it to be incredibly comforting,” Biden claimed in a 2020 campaign ad, and the establishment media has pushed this nonsense as well.

“The new president,” the New York Times announced three days after Joe started pretending to be president, “elevates a liberal Catholicism that once seemed destined to fade away.” By “liberal Catholicism,” the Times means an ostentatious, external piety emptied of all its content and cynically designed to win Catholic votes, and the Biden regime has now underscored that fact by trying to force pro-lifers to pay for abortions. If that’s Catholicism, Joe, I’m Fidel Castro.

LifeNews reported Wednesday that the regime is planning to end the legal right to object on moral grounds to the “HHS mandate.” The “HHS mandate,” LifeNews explains, is “the term commonly used to refer to the requirement under Obamacare for employers to pay for abortifacients, contraceptives, and sterilization in their health insurance plans.” Now Biden’s handlers have made “a formal proposal to create a new regulation” that would “strip away the rights of organizations to refuse to comply with the HHS mandate because they have a moral objection to abortion, contraceptives, or sterilization.” Does this violate the First Amendment’s guarantee of freedom of religion? Of course. But they’ll get away with it unless and until the Supreme Court stops them. That could take a while.

When the Obama regime first imposed the HHS mandate in 2013, it noted that religious groups were exempt; even then, however, “the exemption was so narrow that even some churches couldn’t qualify.” Pro-lifers challenged the mandate in courts and won a series of victories that secured their exemption from having to pay for abortions. Then the Trump administration put a rule in place that specifically protected religious groups from being harassed on the basis of the HHS mandate. Now, however, “the Biden proposal would rescind the Trump rule and force non-religious employers with only a moral objection to comply.”

Can you imagine the March for Life, one of the foremost pro-life organizations in the country, having to pay for abortions? Old Joe Biden can. LifeNews notes that March for Life “previously sued the Obama administration on the matter and won in a lower court before the case was mooted by the Trump rule.” But now Catholic Joe wants to strip away those protections. March for Life and every other pro-life organization in the country would find its tax dollars going to fund the national sacrifices to Moloch. That sure is living your faith, Joe!

Roger Severino, a Trump-era HHS official, explained what this initiative is all about: “It’s all politics. They have to answer to their radical pro-abortion base. They couldn’t stomach the fact that they have lost this issue at every stage at the Supreme Court, and they want to show that they are continuing to resist in the wake of the Dobbs ruling… This is a purely political stunt to try to send a message to institutions with moral objections to the sexual revolution.”

Yes, and that message is quite ominous. The Biden regime is working to restrict the freedom of speech (as we saw with its ill-fated Disinformation Governance Board and its pressure on Twitter to silence dissidents) and the right to bear arms; now it is trying to gut the freedom of religion as well.

All it would need to destroy that freedom utterly would be five compliant Supreme Court Justices. It doesn’t have them now and we can hope that it never will, but nevertheless, the Biden regime is without a doubt laying the foundation for the destruction of the right of citizens to dissent on religious grounds from the government’s soul- and life-destroying far-Left agenda.

Biden Pentagon Leaders Defend Using Taxpayer Money for Abortion Travel

The Biden Pentagon on Thursday defended its recently-established policy to use American taxpayer money to pay for troops’ travel and accommodations when seeking abortions, in response to Republican arguments that it violates the Hyde Amendment.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin argued during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing that the policy, which was put into effect last month, was “based on strong legal grounds.”

The Pentagon’s policy came after the Supreme Court last summer overturned Roe v. Wade, which had held that abortion was a constitutional right. The Pentagon enacted several policies that would give troops the ability and money to travel out of state for abortions if they were stationed in states where it was illegal.

The Pentagon has long allowed for abortions in cases of rape, incest, or when the mother’s life is at risk, but does not allow for or cover elective abortions. The Biden Pentagon’s new policy would allow troops up to three weeks of leave and cover travel and accommodation costs for elective abortions.

Republicans argue that the policy violates the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal — thus American taxpayer — funds from paying for abortions.

Austin argued:

Almost one in five of our troops are women. And they don’t get a chance to choose where their station so almost 80,000 of our women are stationed in places that where they don’t have access to the non-covered reproductive health care. And I heard from our troops, I heard from our senior leaders I heard from from our our chiefs, and also our secretaries. And in this policy is based on strong legal grounds.

Republican senators said their objections were not to abortion access, but to forcing American taxpayers to pay for costs associated with elective abortions, in contradiction to the Hyde Amendment.

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), a retired Army National Guard lieutenant colonel, said:

I just want to state that I am adamantly opposed to the DOD’s new policy on allowing travel expenses for those that are going to other states to seek abortions. I think it’s incredibly important that we reman adherent to the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer dollars from going towards abortions.

. . .

Those are taxpayer dollars being spent to fund the extension of an abortion. I am adamantly opposed. I know that there are others that are on this committee that agree as well. We’re not saying that women can’t seek abortions. They can do that, but that is to be privately funded.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has put a hold on the nomination of more than 150 Department of Defense nominees over the policy, which Austin argued would make the Pentagon less effective and affect those nominees and their families.

“My hold has nothing to do with the Supreme Court decision to the access of abortion. This is about not forcing the taxpayers of this country to fund abortions. That’s been a bipartisan consensus for more than 40 years,” Tuberville said at the hearing, adding:

As of 12 days ago, y’all got the American taxpayer on the hook to pay for travel and time off for elective abortions. And you did not make this with anybody in this room or Congress taking a vote. In fact, this contradicts what Congress has actually voted for. Most of us, some of us in the room, if not all senators that have been complaining about this have voted for the Hyde Amendment many, many times. But now my colleagues on the left think this abortion issue is good for a campaign, and that’s what this shouldn’t be about. I’m not going to let our military be politicized.

Tuberville vowed to fight the policy for as long as he served in the Senate.

“I want our military to be the strongest and deadliest it has ever been. But I also want the administration to follow the law. As long as I have a voice in this body, Congress will write the laws. Not the Secretary of Defense, not the Joint Chiefs,” he said, adding that if Democrats wanted to change the policy, they need to change the law.

Democrats during the hearing expressed support for the policy.
