What to do with Joe Biden?
At times like these, I sure am glad I'm not a Democrat. While several aspiring Republican notables are throwing their hats into the ring, the Democrats' standard-bearer is collapsing in the polls. Having another full term of eligibility, Mr. Biden eschews turning himself into a lame duck and continues to cling to the prospect of his re-election. Meanwhile, our rudderless nation is drifting onto the rocks of an unpleasant destiny.
All along, Biden's age-related feebleness has cast doubt about his functional abilities. This has only gotten worse with time. But now the FBI and the lapdog media are backing away from shielding him from a looming influence-peddling scandal. And yet, the more marketable Democrat presidential aspirants are holding back...just so they won't appear disrespectful of our current president. They're also not exactly star quality material when compared to the Republican field.
One of the great political miracles of all time was the survival of the Democrats in the aftermath of the Civil War. Prior to Lincoln, Republicans were, at best, a third party. The first president after Lincoln, Andrew Johnson, was a Union-Democrat. It wasn't until Grover Cleveland defeated James G. Blaine in the election of 1884 that the Democrats managed to once again win a national contest. In many ways, Cleveland was to the right of Ronald Reagan and barely squeaked by in the popular vote — 48.9 to 48.3 percent.
The Democrats' lurch to the left, which became all the more obvious during the Obama years, is alienating many formerly loyal members of the electorate. It has long been my expectation that the stalwart Progressive Democrats will eventually morph into full-blown Greens — radical leftist tree-huggers, ironically trapped in our dystopic urban cores. The rest of us will either be right-of-center or just plain centrists.
An empirical example of the nausea being induced by today's woke-left agenda would have to be the near-instantaneous collapse of the Bud Light brand — following its overt embrace of abnormal sexuality. Democrats and their media allies try to stereotype conservatives as hateful bigots. However, we typically cut our neighbors an enormous amount of slack when it comes to their private lives. We just don't like having weird stuff shoved into our faces or our children's minds.
And Joe Biden is still at the top of the ticket.
I really have no idea as to what's going to happen. I suspect that Biden will be moved out of the target area. There may be a concerted effort to make this as pleasant as possible...but how?
This may be the inevitable result of a dishonest "news" media establishment that is constantly pushing fiction. A real-world example of this occurred after the collapse of the Soviet Union: Pravda never published news that could be harmful to the regime. Should there be a serious plane crash, it was never mentioned — folks just went away and never came back. After the state stopped rigidly controlling the news, the Russian people were astonished to hear about all kinds of tragedies. The world was a much more dangerous place than they were led to believe.
Meanwhile, perception of Biden's cognitive (ahem) difficulties is being coincidentally enhanced by the sad story of 89-year-old Dianne Feinstein and her exceptionally obnoxious Senate colleague John Fetterman. Having such dysfunctional beings in positions of real power violates the most basic requirements of even a modest meritocracy...let alone the assumed benefits of truly competitive electoral politics.
Going deeper into this mess, the Republicans are not guaranteed a historically significant success next year. It may still happen, since the Dems have 23 Senate seats up for grabs versus only 10 for the GOP. My worry is over primary campaign cannibalism — the devouring of opponents. Not to worry too much. Trump and DeSantis may be trading barbs along with corrupt media enhancement...but nothing really serious. Thus far.

Biden Admin’s $40m ‘Anti-Terrorism’ Program Targets Breitbart News, Conservatives
Documents uncovered by the Media Research Center (MRC) revealed the Biden Administration used a $40 million grant program of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), ostensibly earmarked for anti-terrorism purposes, to target conservative organizations and media, including Breitbart News.
The Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program (TVTP) was established by the DHS in 2011 to combat Al Qaeda, but was vastly expanded in its scope by the Biden adminstration.
Its grants now encompass several “media literacy and online critical thinking initiatives,” the most radical of which accuse conservative organizations including Breitbart News, Turning Point USA, and the Heritage Foundation of turning Americans into violent neo-Nazis.
Under Biden, the program awarded eighty grants, totaling $39,611,999. Fifty-two percent of the grants were awarded to public institutions, and 48 percent went to private organizations.
One institution that was awarded a grant, the University of Dayton, used its DHS money to create a training program explaining how content from Breitbart News, Fox News, the Heritage Foundation, the National Rifle Association, PragerU, and the Republican National Committee among others led to far-right radicalization.

According to MRC, one of the DHS-funded seminars at the university compared former President Donald Trump to the genocidal Cambodian dictator Pol Pot, and suggested Florida Governor Ron DeSantis might wish to start a “second Holocaust.”
A number of other seminars in the program featured lectures by Michael Loedenthal, a self-proclaimed member of Antifa who endorses committing illegal acts in the fight against the “far right.”
“A lot of things we’re doing are illegal” said Loedenthal. “A lot of it involves breaking the law.”
Loedenthal also used one of the DHS-funded seminars to push censorship and financial blacklisting, explaining how “antifascists” could pressure platforms like “GoFundMe, Patreon, PayPal, Venmo” to show conservatives the door.
The fact that taxpayer money, funneled through a DHS program established in 2011 to fight Al Qaeda, ended up funding Loedenthal’s seminars is another addition to a growing pile of evidence that the Biden administration is using the federal government to target domestic political opponents.
The Republican majority in Congress has been alert to this trend, establishing the Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government to investigate and propose solutions.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has also taken action, working to cut funding to organizations that have been used to censor conservatives, including NewsGuard and the Global Disinformation Index (GDI).
“I think America is going to be shocked by how much government was doing, working in these—using these government agencies with these private companies to… censor what people can see,” McCarthy told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview.
“You’re going to find not only are we going to hold them accountable, we’re going to be able to use that basis to know legislatively what can we do that they can never do this again.”

The IRS whistleblower tasked with overseeing the probe into Hunter Biden's possible tax crimes said the Biden administration's Department of Justice stepped in to slow the investigation down.
"When I took control of this particular investigation, I immediately saw that it was way outside the norm of what I've experienced in the past," Gary Shapley, supervisory special agent at the IRS, told CBS in his first public interview Wednesday. Shapley would not confirm the subject of the probe that he's blowing the whistle on, but several media outlets have confirmed it's the first son. After coming forward last month, the whistleblower and his entire team were taken off the Biden probe.
"There was multiple steps that were slow-walked at the direction of the Department of Justice," Shapley said.
Shapley came forward last month and asked for whistleblower protections to bring forward bombshell claims that the Biden administration is showing "preferential treatment" toward Biden and holding back in the probe. He also alleged that Attorney General Merrick Garland gave misleading testimony in March when he said that the U.S. attorney in Delaware, who has been in charge of the Biden probe since 2018, has been allowed to proceed without influence.
A second whistleblower at the IRS claimed this week to have also faced retaliation for raising issues about the agency's investigation into Biden.
Hunter Biden's lawyer said last month that Shapley broke the law by telling Congress about his concerns.

'Time To Worry': IRS Targeted Biden-Critical Journalist on Two Suspicious Dates, Letter Reveals
Tax agency investigated Matt Taibbi as he was revealing government censorship on Twitter
The IRS targeted journalist Matt Taibbi on two occasions while he was exposing information about censorship efforts by the government and Twitter.
The agency launched an investigation into Taibbi, a liberal journalist who has criticized left-wing censorship of conservative and moderate voices, on December 24, 2022, according to a Wednesday letter from House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan (R., Ohio). On that same day, Taibbi was publishing some of the "Twitter Files," internal Twitter emails that show the company coordinating with the government to censor so-called misinformation.
Just months later, on March 9, 2023, Taibbi was testifying in Congress when an IRS agent visited his home. The agency was performing "an extensive investigation" of Taibbi, looking into the journalist's "voter registration records, whether he possessed a hunting or fishing license, whether he had a concealed weapons permit, and his telephone numbers," Jordan's letter revealed.
The investigation, which ostensibly concerned Taibbi's 2018 tax filing, ultimately concluded that Taibbi "did not owe the IRS anything," according to the letter. On the contrary, the IRS owed Taibbi "a substantial refund."
"When the IRS checks to see if you have a carry permit and visits your home, at a time when they owe you money, it's time to worry," Taibbi wrote Wednesday.
Taibbi has been critical of Biden, saying last month that the administration's censorship efforts are "terrifying." He said Wednesday that the visit to his home appears to be "politically motivated."
These occurrences are not the only times that government officials have targeted Taibbi. Democratic congresswoman Stacey Plaskett (V.I.), the ranking member on the House subcommittee on the weaponization of government, last month threatened Taibbi with prison time for mixing up the names of two organizations.
Taibbi's "Twitter Files" revealed extensive censorship at Twitter before Elon Musk took over the company last year. During the 2020 presidential election, former FBI official James Baker advised Twitter to "censor an article about emails from Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop," while federal agencies pressured Twitter to regulate conversation "related to the coronavirus vaccines, Russia, and the January 6 attack on the Capitol."
Jordan said in March that his committee would investigate whether the IRS agent's visit to Taibbi's home "was a thinly veiled attempt to influence or intimidate a witness before Congress." Jordan's Wednesday letter demands that the IRS turn over any documents about its probe into Taibbi by June 7.
Exclusive — Marjorie Taylor Greene: FBI Director Actively ‘Protecting’ Bidens by Stonewalling Congressional Subpoena
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) exclusively told Breitbart News on Thursday that FBI Director Christopher Wray is actively protecting the Biden family by stonewalling a congressional subpoena of an unclassified document that allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions between now-President Biden and a foreign national.
Greene, who is a member of the House Oversight Committee, said that Wray, among several other members of the Biden administration, seeks to safeguard the Biden family from justice.
“I think it’s clear and obvious that the DOJ, the FBI, Christopher Wray, Merrick Garland, and many others are protecting the Bidens,” Greene said when asked about the FBI’s refusal to provide the subpoenaed document to Congress.
On Wednesday, Wray agreed to schedule a meeting with House Oversight James Comer (R-KY) for next week to discuss the FBI’s refusal to hand over the unclassified document. The scheduled meeting, perhaps a stalling tactic, comes after Comer threatened to hold the FBI in contempt of Congress for failing to hand over the document.
“I don’t know why Christopher Wray is refusing to hand it over,” Greene said. “You can only think one way when they refuse to hand over an unclassified document.”
Greene explained the document allegedly details a pay-for-play scheme that involves then Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national.
“It has direct evidence of Joe Biden himself getting paid from a foreign national for foreign policy decisions,” she said. “So, it’s a real pay-to-play scheme when Joe Biden was Vice President.”
In May, the FBI did not deny the existence of the document but refused to comply with Comer’s subpoena, sparking the chairman to threaten to hold the FBI in contempt of Congress. Greene said if Wray fails to provide the document to Comer in next week’s meeting, “Then we only have one option, and that is to hold them in contempt of Congress.”
“But there’s also further consequences,” Green continued. “We’re already looking at our appropriations in our budget,” she said in reference to defunding the top brass at FBI and DOJ. “We’re looking at making cuts there. So, it’s not just contempt of Congress. [It] isn’t the only thing that we can do.”
While the FBI stonewalls Comer’s subpoena, his investigation continues to produce results.
In March, the probe identified three Biden family members who collectively received $1.3 million, wired through a Biden associate from a Chinese energy company two months after President Joe Biden left the vice presidency. In May, it found the Biden family business over the course of several years received at least $10 million from business schemes in Romania and China in return for what appears to be influence peddling. In total, nine Biden family members received payments from the family foreign business ventures, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren, Comer revealed.
“In my opinion, we have enough evidence for impeachment,” Greene said. “I’m absolutely convinced.”
“It just takes the courage of Republicans to move for impeachment,” she said in reference to the Biden family business ventures and record alleging wrongdoing by Joe Biden.
“If we were a just country, our Department of Justice would prosecute him [Joe Biden] and put them [family] in jail, because that’s highly illegal,” she said.
