OPEN BORDERS ADVOCATE FOR CHEAP LABOR OF INVADED AZ SINEMA SINGS A NEW TUNE - AT LEAST TO OUR FACES - Sinema: There Is ‘Devastation’ to Border Communities and ‘a Growing Humanitarian Crisis’

NAFTA JOE BIDEN HAS BEEN PERPETRATING THIS DISASTER FOR 2 YEARS AND NOW THEY HOWL BUT DO NOT IMPEACH THE FUKER!

Texas is facing a housing crisis, a migrant crisis, a multi-year drought, and an epidemic of mass shootings. Ted Cruz, meanwhile, has opened an investigation into Bud Light.

Sinema: There Is ‘Devastation’ to Border Communities and ‘a Growing Humanitarian Crisis’

During an interview with Bloomberg on Thursday, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) stated that the burden of the Biden administration ending Title 42 without a good plan has fallen on border communities and stated that if President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris visited the border in Arizona, “they’ll see the devastation, not just to our border communities, but to the migrants and those families themselves.”

Sinema said, “When the administration ended Title 42 without an appropriate plan in place, once again, the burden falls on the shoulders of Arizona’s border communities. And, of course, this is a growing humanitarian crisis for the migrants themselves. So, Sen. Tillis (R-NC) and I have introduced a bill to extend the elements of Title 42 so that the administration can do what it should have done over the last two years, which is prepare for the end of this program.”

She added, “I invite President Biden and Vice President Harris to come actually visit the Arizona-Mexico border. If they were to do so — like many of my colleagues have joined me in recent months — they’ll see the devastation, not just to our border communities, but to the migrants and those families themselves. The reality is, the system is broken. And we need both enforcement on the part of the administration and changes on the part of Congress to fix the law and solve this problem once and for all.”

AZ State Senator: If Illegal Immigrants Keep Coming, We’ll Keep ‘Moving Them on Out...to a Town Near You’

If U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) can’t control the surge of illegal immigrants coming into his state when the Title 42 border-enforcement measure ends Thursday, Arizona will use its own buses to ship them “to a town near you,” State Sen. Tim Dunn (R-Ariz.) warns.

Sen. Dunn was one of three state legislators who discussed the border crisis Thursday on Fox & Friends First, where he explained that his state will use its own buses to relocate the illegal immigrants out of his overburdened state:

“We’ve already been inundated for the last three and a half years, so we are at our wit’s end, we are at capacity on our NGOs. And so, we are working together with the governor and with our local BPS just to try to mitigate the situation the best we can and keep processing and moving them out of our state, because we cannot handle them here in the state.

“And, we’re going to keep sending them with our own buses, if the CBP can’t control it, and moving them on out of the state to a town near you.”

“Every state is a border crisis,” New Hampshire State Sen. Jeb Bradley (R) concurred, citing the influx of deadly drugs and human traffickers coming in from neighboring Canada.

“What we’re trying to here, as state legislators, is maximize every tool at our resource,” Florida State Rep. Jon Snyder (R) added, promising that his state will continue to send illegal immigrants to the so-called “sanctuary cities” that claim they want to take them in and use taxpayers’ money to support them:

“We are going to continue to make sure that, if migrants come into our state, we will send them to the sanctuary cites that have given them pre-consent to come and live off of their taxpayers, and not ours.”

The Border Just Saw the Most Illegal Crossings Ever. Officials Say It Could Get Even Worse.

Border agents apprehended a record-breaking number of migrants in the last week, including multiple sex offenders, felons, and gang members.

More than 67,700 apprehensions occurred along the border this week, not including at least 15,780 gotaways, Border Patrol chief Raul Ortiz said Friday.

At least 10,000 migrants were apprehended by agents on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday—the highest daily numbers on record.

The record numbers came ahead of Thursday night’s expiration of Title 42, which allowed agents to turn migrants away at the border. Now the Biden administration is allowing the mass release of migrants in the country.

"It will get worse," one Homeland Security official told CNN.

More than 1,400 Department of Homeland Security personnel and 1,500 Department of Defense workers are at the border assisting with processing migrants, Homeland Security decretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Wednesday.

Officials warned last week that 700,000 migrants were waiting in Mexico for the lapse of the border policy. Migrants will be processed and released into cities at bus stops, gas stations, and other places across the border.

Democratic leaders, like New York City mayor Eric Adams, are struggling to deal with the influx of migrants. Adams is pursuing a plan to ship busloads of migrants to the suburbs, and he waived a rule that requires the city to house anyone who needs shelter. Democrats in El Paso, Texas, are preparing to send the city more migrants.

House Republicans passed an immigration bill Thursday that would limit migrants from seeking asylum and restart border wall construction, but Democrats in the Senate are expected to kill the bill.

"I would hope that Chuck Schumer does his damn job," Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R., Wis.) told the Free Beacon. "That Joe Biden does his damn job."

Migrant Detentions at Border Hit Record Highs as Title 42 Ends

Reuters
May 12, 2023

YUMA, Arizona (Reuters)—Migrants gathered on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border on Thursday hours before immigration restrictions known as Title 42 expire, with some rushing to cross ahead of tough new asylum rules that will replace a COVID-era order.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has in recent days been holding up to 28,000 migrants at its facilities, far beyond its stated capacity and in what appeared to be a record, two federal officials requesting anonymity and the Border Patrol's union said.

The busiest border detention facilities are in the Rio Grande Valley and El Paso in Texas and two areas in Arizona, according to union President Brandon Judd.

This week, the number of people caught crossing illegally topped 10,000 per day.

Due to the high volume of arrivals, agents on Wednesday began releasing some migrants without a notice to appear in immigration court where they can make an asylum claim, telling them to report to an immigration office later, Judd said.

On Thursday night, a federal judge in Florida blocked such releases, saying they were similar to a policy previously enjoined in March due to a failure to follow proper regulatory procedures.

CBP did not respond to a request for comment.

On average, people are spending nearly three days in custody, Judd said.

In Yuma, Arizona, hundreds of migrants lined up in the chilly hours before dawn at a gap in the towering border fence, waiting to turn themselves in to U.S. agents.

Some - like 40-year-old Jovanna Gomez from Colombia - decided to try their luck crossing now after hearing about the U.S. policy change.

"In my country, you hear that immigration will only be allowed until May 11, so we came racing against the clock," she said. "It wasn't easy."

Under Title 42, in place since March 2020 and set to expire at midnight, hundreds of thousands of migrants have been quickly expelled to Mexico.

But because Mexico only accepted the return of certain nationalities - mostly their own citizens and Central Americans, and more recently Venezuelans, Cubans, Haitians and Nicaraguans - migrants from other countries have largely been allowed in to pursue their immigration claims.

That is set to change as President Joe Biden's administration sends more personnel and funds to the border while implementing the new regulation, which will deny asylum to almost all migrants who cross illegally.

The measure will bar anyone who has passed through another country without seeking refuge elsewhere or who failed to use legal pathways to enter the United States.

It will take effect when Title 42 lifts, along with the declared end of the broad COVID public health emergency on Thursday.

Top U.S. officials repeated a warning to illegal crossers. "Our borders are not open," Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told reporters at a White House briefing.

The CBP reiterated in a statement that Venezuelans, Cubans, Haitians, and Nicaraguans that cross the southwest border illegally after the end of Title 42 will continue to be sent back to Mexico, which can accept a total of up to 30,000 migrants from those countries monthly.

The U.S. has opened up legal options for migrants of those nationalities to apply for entry from abroad, in an effort to discourage people from coming to the border.

POLITICAL FINGER-POINTING

U.S. border cities have struggled to shelter the new arrivals and provide transportation to other destinations. Far from the border, other cities say they are also struggling to cope, such as New York, where Mayor Eric Adams temporarily loosened right-to-shelter rules because of strained resources.

U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema, an Arizona independent who left the Democratic Party five months ago, criticized the administration on Thursday, telling reporters the president had failed to adequately prepare for the end of Title 42.

She said small towns in her state have been struggling to transport arriving migrants with little access to resources like buses or shelters.

Republicans fault Biden, a Democrat running for re-election in 2024, for scrapping the restrictive policies of former President Donald Trump, a Republican seeking to win back the White House.

And Biden administration officials in recent days have escalated their attacks on Republicans, saying they failed to fix immigration laws or provide adequate border funds.

"I asked the Congress for a lot more money for the Border Patrol," Biden said on Wednesday. "They didn't do it."

Since Biden took office in January 2021, the country has seen a record 4.6 million arrests of migrants crossing illegally, although the tally includes many repeat crossers. A Reuters/Ipsos poll released this week showed that only 26% approved of Biden's handling of immigration.

In Texas, Republican Governor Greg Abbott, a fierce critic of the president's border policies, expanded a National Guard deployment this week "to help intercept and repel large groups of migrants trying to enter Texas illegally."

Some organizations are welcoming the migrants. In Yuma, Fernando Quiroz, a 50-year-old member of a volunteer group known as the AZ-CA Humanitarian Coalition, was pulling a wagon filled with water bottles to hand out to migrants awaiting processing in the middle of the night.

"The reason we are here is our faith, our compassion, our empathy for a lot of these individuals," Quiroz said. "We just want to be that friendly smile.

"Who knows what happens when they get on that bus?" he said. "This is just the first step of a very long journey."

BIDEN PARTNERS WITH MEXICO TO ORCHESTRATE ANOTHER MASSIVE MEX INVASION OF DEM VOTING ILLEGALS.

"Mexican president candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador called for mass immigration to the United States, declaring it a "human right". We will defend all the (Mexican) invaders in the American," Obrador said, adding that immigrants "must leave their towns and find a life, job, welfare, and free medical in the United States."

"Fox’s Tucker Carlson noted Thursday that Obrador has

previously proposed granting AMNESTY TO MEXICAN DRUG

CARTELS. “America is now Mexico’s social safety net, and that’s

a very good deal for the Mexican ruling class,” Carlson added."

"Many Americans forget is that our country is located against a socialist failed state that is promising to descend even further into chaos – not California, the other one. And the Mexicans, having reached the bottom of the hole they have dug for themselves, just chose to keep digging by electing a new leftist presidente who wants to surrender to the cartels and who thinks that Mexicans have some sort of “human right” to sneak into the U.S. and demographically reconquer it." KURT SCHLICHTER

As in 2016, Democrats advance a corrupt ruling-class candidate. Like the dead man Gary Ernst, Democrats want people to vote for Joe Biden so they can swap him out for Kamala Harris, already a beneficiary of voter fraud and with the exception of Xavier Becerra possibly the worst attorney general in California history.

Kamala Harris Urges Illegal Migrants to Help Elect Joe Bidenwrence Jackson / Biden

NEIL MUNRO

Sen. Kamala Harris promised Sunday to reduce detention space for migrants as she asked an illegal immigrant activist to help Joe Biden win the election.

BLOG EDITOR: WHY DIDN’T LAWYER KAMALA HARRIS TELL THE ILLEGAL TO GO HOME??? SHE’S THE ONE WHO AS ATTORNEY GENERAL OF CA DECLARED THAT NEARLY HALF THE MURDERS IN MEXIFORNIA ARE BY MEX GANGS!

“I’m undocumented … I can’t vote …What can we do during this election to help make sure that we get you elected?” asked Astrid Silva, who was brought into the United States as a child by her illegal migrant parents.

“You can tell people who can vote what life is like for you now, and what life can be like,” Vice President nominee Harris told the Nevada-based political organizer who runs the pro-amnesty Dream Big Nevada group, adding that:

We are committed to shutting down private detention centers and ending policies that have been about separating children from their parents at the border.

Harris’s comments may be a coded message to would-be illegal migrants and their supportive legal-immigrant relatives.

For example, if implemented, Harris’s promise to start “shutting down private detention centers” could cripple border enforcement. If the enforcement agency does not have commercial prisons to hold detainees prior to their asylum hearings, the agency would be forced to release waves of job-seeking migrants into the U.S. labor market.

Similarly, Harris’s promise to end “policies … about separating children” echoes the media-magnified demand by pro-migration activists that officials release migrant mothers and children when they cross the border. That demand would let migrant families freely travel to relatives — including their illegal migrant husbands and fathers — who are working illegally in the United States.

Last week in Nevada, I caught up with my friend @Astrid_NV, to discuss the Biden-Harris plan for immigration reform and how Dreamers can make a difference in this election.

If you're eligible to vote, show up at the ballot box for those who can't: https://t.co/VbrfuqVy9Ppic.twitter.com/knU2qFSYmn

— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) November 1, 2020

Like Biden, Harris pushed the Cold War “Nation of Immigrants” claim, even though only about 10 percent of people in the United States are legal immigrants:

We want to have a president who understands we are a nation of immigrants. This is a country that was built and that has derived its strength from immigrants coming here over the generations.

Harris also tried to blur the legal and civic differences between illegal migrants, legal immigrants, and American citizens. For example, she told Silva:

Define who you are, and you tell the world who you are. Don’t let anybody ever put you in a box because they have a limited perspective on who can do what and who can be one.

[…]

We are all in this together. And so, chin up, shoulders back, right? We speak our truth and know that there will always be people applauding and supporting that even if you can’t see them at that one moment, know that there are so many of us who are supporting your leadership and the power of your voice. It’s really important.

Harris also claimed President Donald Trump vilified immigrants: “We’ve seen under the current president the kind of vitriol, the kind of hate, the vilification of immigrants in such a horrible way.”

But a Washington Post poll showed in April that Latinos are the strongest advocates for a near-total halt to legal immigration during the coronavirus epidemic and economic crash.

Biden’s 2020 plan promises to “reassert America’s commitment to asylum-seekers and refugees,” wipe out Trump’s asylum reforms, bar any deportations for 100 days, and end migration enforcement against illegal aliens unless they commit a felony.

Joe Biden’s asylum and open-border policies will destroy the American middle class by releasing millions of foreign migrants into the United States, Stephen Miller told reporters October 28. https://t.co/BaeLSIud7y

— Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) October 28, 2020

Biden also wants to let companies import more visa workers, let mayors import temporary workers, and allow an unlimited flow of foreign graduates through U.S. universities into white-collar jobs. Biden would “exempt from any cap [the] recent graduates of Ph.D. programs in STEM fields.”

Biden also wants to accelerate the inflow of chain migration migrants and dramatically accelerate the inflow of poor refugees to at least 125,000 per year.

“The influx of low wage workers from all across the world will drive down incomes, drive down wages, deplete the middle class, bankrupt Social Security, bankrupt Medicare, bankrupt Medicaid, bankrupt federal entitlements, overcrowd schools, and overcrowd every hospital in the middle of a pandemic,” White House aide Stephen Miller told reporters on October 28.

“It is an assault on reason, it is an assault on law enforcement, and it’s an assault on the very idea of having a country, having a Republic,” Miller added. “This is not about left or right or Center. This is about between having a country, or not even having a country.”

The White House Says Immigration Officials Don't Release Migrants. The Border Tells a Different Story.

'I had no problem getting across,' one Venezuelan migrant tells the Washington Free Beacon

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS—White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed Friday that immigration authorities are not "allowing or encouraging mass release of migrants."

Meanwhile, just four blocks north of the U.S.-Mexico border near a Greyhound bus station, the Washington Free Beacon encountered dozens of aliens who were dropped off by Border Patrol agents in the last 48 hours. Many of them waited for money to get a ticket to see their extended family, some of whom live as far as Colorado or Georgia.

"I had no problem getting across. I had the paperwork," said Raul, a migrant from Venezuela. Raul added that he did not fear Border Patrol agents when crossing the Rio Grande because he knew they would release him.

Jean-Pierre's comments came in response to a question about a Florida judge's decision to block a White House directive to release aliens who illegally crossed the border into the United States without court dates.

"The claims that CBP is allowing or encouraging mass release of migrants [are] just categorically false," Jean-Pierre said. "That is not what's occurring, that is not what's happening."

Judge T. Kent Wetherell disagreed. "Aliens are being released into the country on an expedited basis without being placed in removal proceedings and with little to no vetting and no monitoring," he wrote in his opinion.

Jean-Pierre's comments are untrue regardless of Wetherell's ruling. The practice of "catch and release" has been a commonplace practice by immigration authorities for years. More than two million aliens apprehended by immigration authorities have been released into the United States under President Joe Biden. A truthful denial that law enforcement releases detained aliens would constitute a dramatic reversal in immigration policy.

More than 68,000 aliens were apprehended by Border Patrol this week, the highest in U.S history. The agency also recorded 15,780 gotaways.

With Biden AWOL on the border surge, courts and Congress get busy

Joe Biden has been AWOL for years on the border, but with a migrant surge on with his dropping of Title 42, he's positively out of touch.

"The border will be chaotic for a while" is pretty well the sum of his stance on the crisis.  Best he can do.

But in that void of leadership, we are seeing action in the courts and with our wretchedly feeble Congress.

From Florida, a federal judge has called a halt to Joe Biden's open-borders system of "parole" for any illegally crossing migrant who claims asylum, which is nearly all of them.

According to CBS News:

El Paso, Texas — A federal judge in Florida on Thursday temporarily blocked the Biden administration from continuing a migrant release policy designed to alleviate overcrowding at immigration holding facilities along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The ruling came just hours before the Title 42 border restrictions expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT Thursday, raising concerns about severe overcrowding in already over-capacity Border Patrol migrant facilities.

An injunction hearing will be held on May 19.  It makes sense.  The law, after all, says that illegal border-crossers must be detained.  Joe's "parole" or "alternative to detention" is obviously a joke.

Meanwhile, the House, at least, has gotten busy, with restoring "asylum" to its original meaning.

You can tell it's a meaningful bill based on the screaming from the left.  Here is the Al Jazeera headline: "US Republicans pass 'extreme' immigration bill as Title 42 ends."

They insist there is no chance for the reforms on asylum abuse to pass, owing to the Senate.  But they may be deluding themselves.  Other outlets are reporting that Democrats in the Senate are receptive to reforms.  Stay tuned for more on this.

‘Border Czar’ Kamala Harris Kicks Off Lifting of Title 42 with Democrat ‘Soiree’

Vice President Kamala Harris kicks off her administration’s lifting of Title 42 by headlining the Democrat Party of Georgia’s “Spring Soiree” fundraiser on Friday.

Harris, named border czar by President Joe Biden in 2021, is scheduled to attend the “Spring Soiree” on Friday in Atlanta and the private fundraiser hosted by the Democrat National Committee (DNC). The events mark the beginning of their Biden-Harris campaign push to raise as much money as possible for the 2024 election cycle.

She will be attending the fundraisers instead of visiting the U.S.-Mexico border in her capacity as border czar, where 400,000 border crossers and illegal aliens are expected to come to the southern border every month, as the Biden administration puts an end to Title 42.

Title 42 was a federal public health authority that aimed to control the border, which expired at 11:59 p.m. Thursday. The House Republicans passed legislation, H.R.2, on Thursday to codify some of former President Trump’s strictest border policies. But, the legislation still has to get through the Senate, and the White House has promised President Joe Biden will veto it.

Breitbart News’s John Binder noted in an explainer article about what happens when the Trump-era rules end that there will likely be roughly 400,000 border crossers and illegal aliens coming to the southern border every month, which exceeds the populations of some cities.

The New York Post reported that the vice president’s office was reluctant to share any specific plans she has to address the border crisis in the coming days. But, a White House official defended Harris’s engagement in plans.

[Harris] has been engaged and regularly briefed on preparations for the end of public health emergency measures — including Title 42 — while continuing to make progress addressing the root causes of migration from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

Since Biden announced Harris would be the “Border Czar” in March 2021, Republicans have increasingly criticized her for her lack of effort and being hesitant to visit the border.

Biden’s DHS Gives Phones to Border Crossers While Releasing Them into U.S.

Migrants that arrived from Mexico look at their phones as they wait for transportation near a processing center, in Brownsville, Texas on May 10, 2023. The US on May 11, 2023, will officially end its 40-month Covid-19 emergency, also discarding the Title 42 law, a tool that has been used …

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is issuing cell phones to border crossers and illegal aliens as they are being released into the United States. The phones are used strictly to track their whereabouts following their release.

Biden ended Title 42, one of the administration’s last few border controls to stem waves of illegal immigration, on Friday and began implementing a series of programs under its Catch and Release network that ensure most border crossers and illegal aliens are released into the United States while awaiting their immigration hearings, which are often years out.

As part of that process, DHS provides some border crossers and illegal aliens with phones to track their whereabouts. Those given phones are enrolled in the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program, which allows new arrivals to remain in the United States without being detained while waiting for their cases to come up.

As Breitbart News reported, from October 2021 to September 2022 Biden’s DHS gave phones to more than a quarter of a million border crossers and illegal aliens as they were released into the United States interior. The phones cannot search the internet or make calls.

The cost to American taxpayers is more than $360,000 every day.

Before Title 42 ended this week, the Biden administration had already been mass releasing border crossers and illegal aliens into the United States, coupled with a ballooning of the number of “got-aways” — those who successfully crossed the border without being detected.

According to figures detailed by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) last month, anywhere from four to five million border crossers and illegal aliens have been welcomed to the United States by the Biden administration since late January 2021.

This is a foreign population that exceeds the populations of 28 states.

Migrants with Dubious Asylum Claims Enjoy Massive Court Backlogs as DHS Schedules Hearings 4 to 10 Years Out

Migrants released into the United States with dubious asylum claims will enjoy a massive backlog in the nation’s immigration court system as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) schedules hearings as far out as a decade from now.

This week, President Joe Biden ended the Title 42 public health authority that was used for more than three years at the U.S.-Mexico border to remove close to three million illegal aliens and send them back to their native countries.

As a result, Biden’s DHS has implemented an expansive Catch and Release network that includes releasing border crossers into the U.S. interior with Notices to Appear (NTAs) in federal immigration court.

In some cases, as independent journalist Tayler Hansen reported, migrants are being given NTAs to appear before an immigration judge in 2026 and 2027:

In addition to issuing border crossers NTAs, the Biden administration had also issued Notices to Report (NTRs) for months — paperwork that effectively asks migrants to report, eventually, to a local Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office and then to receive a court date.

DHS documents, reviewed by Breitbart News, show that as of February, migrants with NTRs have been given scheduled immigration hearings as far out as a decade from today. In New York, for instance, many border crossers will not have to go before an immigration judge until October 2032.

In other cities, like Jacksonville, Florida, and Miramar, Florida, migrants will not go before an immigration judge until 2028, and in Atlanta, Georgia, and San Antonio, Texas, migrants will not have their asylum cases heard until 2027.

The backlog is important for border crossers who file bogus asylum claims, as they can remain in the U.S. for years – in some cases, a decade – before ever having to face an immigration judge.

A fraction of border crossers released into the U.S. end up securing asylum. Take Biden’s “Dedicated Dockets” program, meant to fast-track the asylum process for migrants. Data published last year found that just one percent of border crossers in the program had valid claims for asylum to remain in the U.S.

Exclusive — GOP Whip Emmer Calls for Mayorkas Impeachment: ‘Children Are Disappearing, People Are Getting Killed’

Representative Tom Emmer, a Republican from Minnesota, during a news conference at the US Capitol in Washington, DC, US, on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. The House speaker is moving ahead with a vote this week on his bill linking a debt ceiling increase to spending cuts despite deep divisions within …

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) called on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to be impeached on Friday, saying the chief border official’s “failure to act” necessitates Congress removing him from his position.

Because Mayorkas has not resigned, “he should be impeached,” Emmer told Breitbart News.

The Minnesota Republican, while speaking during a one-on-one interview in his Capitol Hill office Friday, delved into the heated topic of impeachment, saying the overwhelmed southern border represents the “greatest malfeasance” at the hands of President Joe Biden’s top border official.

“They talk about being humane. Children are disappearing. People are getting killed,” Emmer said. “You’ve got 80 people that have come across the southern border that are on the terrorist watch list.”

Emmer’s comments come the day after Biden lifted the Title 42 border barrier, a policy former President Donald Trump implemented in the name of coronavirus that has served as one of the last tools for border officials to work to stem waves of illegal migration.

Prior to Thursday, the Biden administration had seen more than five million encounters of illegal migrants at the southern border, according to federal data.

“This, to me, is the greatest malfeasance, and malfeasance is — it’s not a failure to act — it’s an intentional failure to act. Mayorkas should be impeached,” Emmer said. “I think we should be talking seriously about that regardless of what this feckless Senate might want to do.”

Emmer, the number three Republican in the House, moreover concluded that the Biden administration has “blood on their hands,” a comment that is similar in gravity to what House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) said one day prior at a press conference.

“Mayorkas is guilty of child abuse, in my opinion, by not vetting the sponsors of the parents, supposedly, or sponsors of these children,” McCaul told reporters minutes after the House passed Republicans’ marquee border security bill on Thursday.

Emmer’s commentary is however GOP leadership’s strongest rebuke yet of Biden’s border chief and serves as an escalation from earlier this year, when the Minnesota Republican said impeachment was merely “possible” given the surging illegal migration that has occurred since Biden took office.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Breitbart News during this interview in March that he was open to considering impeachment proceedings against Mayorkas.

Matthew Perdie / Breitbart News, Jack Knudsen / Breitbart News, Zenny Phuong, Breitbart News
0 seconds of 50 minutes, 6 secondsVolume 90%

“The one thing I’ve always said is we’re not like Democrats; we don’t do impeachment just for political purposes,” McCarthy said. “But if something rises to that occasion — that’s why we will do all the homework on what has transpired down here and if that reaches to an impeachment inquiry, we’ll follow through with that.”

Emmer, when pressed further on taking such an escalatory step against Mayorkas, doubled down on his remark.

He acknowledged that while some in his conference may have “constitutional disagreements” over whether impeachment is the appropriate move, “actual law and the precedent that’s been set” indicate impeachment is the next action.

“I know that we’re going to have members — much like other constitutional disagreements we’ve had, there’s probably going to be a member who says … who’s a stickler about high crimes and misdemeanors,” Emmer said. “I believe if you look at the actual law and the precedent that’s been set — and forget about the phony impeachment stuff that the Democrats have been doing for political stunts — this one’s a real, real issue. You can see the pictures live every day. You have an administration and an idiot that’s in charge of the border. I don’t know where 85,000 children went.”

“Please,” Emmer said. “It’s time for him to go. He should do the honorable thing and resign. He won’t. Therefore, he should be impeached.”

Politico: ‘Dems Fracture’ amid Border Breakdown

The pending 2024 election campaign is forcing several Democrats to partially and temporarily turn against President Joe Biden’s cheap-labor migration and border policies, according to Politico.

The establishment site wrote on May 12:

[Sen.] Sherrod Brown [D-OH] is a stalwart progressive who doesn’t often partner with the likes of Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. On the hot-button issue of immigration, though, the Ohio Democrat is siding with his caucus’ two most famous centrists.

As the Biden administration deals with the expiration of its pandemic-era power to expel migrants at the southern border, Brown is signing onto a moderate proposal to extend that authority for two more years. Though he wants to see comprehensive immigration reform enacted, Brown said that “I don’t think you can get something comprehensive now, under the pressure of what’s happening at the border.”

However, the campaign-season maneuvers by Brown, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), and Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) comes after they voted many times to fund Biden’s mass migration of poor foreigners into Americans’ communities.

Since those votes, public opinion — including among Democrats and swing voters — has continued to shift against migration and towards American solidarity.

That shift is not a problem for the vast majority of Democrats in deep-blue states and districts. But it is a growing problem for the swing states that decide which party holds the majority in D.C.

All four of the Democrats named by Politico are from swing states and are being targeted by the GOP’s Senate leader, Sen. Mitch McConnell

Nonetheless, McConnell is not backing candidates who want to reduce the immigration burden on ordinary Americans, or even trying to show the pocketbook damage of Biden’s immigration.

Instead, he is pushing candidates who have won establishment backing and donations by pledging to support the easy-migration policies which help investors hire cheap and subordinate foreigners instead of well-paid, outspoken Americans. CNN reported:

“What I care about in November is winning and having an ‘R’ by your name, and I think it is way too early to start assessing various candidacies that may or may not materialize,” McConnell said.

As usual, the Politico article sketches the politics of migration as merely “immigration reform” or “border crossings” while hiding the underlying political and economic battles in the immigration fight. However, it did highlight the perspective of pro-migration Democrats who say migrants have a human right to walk into the United States:

For many other Democrats, extending pandemic-imposed limits is the wrong way to control the border. They argue that the expulsion authority blocked legal pathways for migrants to seek asylum and as a result, it amounted to a human rights violation.

Many of Biden’s migrants are pitiable, many are admirable, and most are eager to work — and all were unlucky enough to be born outside the United States. For example, the Los Angeles Times reported:

Mary Otaiyi, 33, of Nigeria, carried her sleeping 4-year-old on her back while holding her 10-year-old’s hand. She said they had flown to Brazil, then walked and bused through Bolivia, Peru and onward into Mexico, taking a month to get to America.

“I came for a good life for my kids,” she said. “I have no relatives here and no job in Nigeria.”

But the Democrats’ easy-migration policies are deliberately adding the foreigners’ problems to the lengthening list of Americans’ problems — homelessness, low wages, a shrinking middle class, slowing innovation, declining blue-collar life expectancy, spreading poverty, the rising death toll from drugs, and the spreading alienation among young people.

Worse, the inflow of migrants reduces the incentive and ability of politicians, government officials, and business leaders to overcome their expanding political differences in ways that help reduce Americans’ problems.

Extraction Migration

The federal government has long operated an unpopular economic policy of Extraction Migration. This colonialism-like policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries, reduces beneficial trade, and uses the imported workers, renters, and consumers to grow Wall Street and the economy.

The migrant inflow has successfully forced down Americans’ wages and also boosted rents and housing prices. The inflow has also pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors and contributed to the rising death rate of poor Americans.

The lethal policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.

In many speeches, Mayorkas says he is building a mass migration system to deliver workers to wealthy employers and investors and “equity” to poor foreigners. The nation’s border laws are subordinate to elite opinion about “the values of our country,” Mayorkas claims.

The population inflow also reduces the political clout of native-born Americans, because the population replacement allows elites to divorce themselves from the needs and interests of ordinary Americans.

Migration — and especially, labor migration — is unpopular among swing voters. A 54 percent majority of Americans say Biden is allowing a southern border invasion, according to an August 2022 poll commissioned by the left-of-center National Public Radio (NPR). The 54 percent “Invasion” majority included 76 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats.
