Gabbard: Democratic Party ‘an Elitist Cabal of Warmongers — Corrupt Politicians, Propaganda Media, Big Tech and the National Security State’
Friday on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard decried her former political party as tearing the country apart.
She described it as a group with ill intentions coalescing around a label.
“Now, I think what most of the — of today’s Democratic Party, they haven’t grappled with the fact that people aren’t leaving the party because of just one issue,” host Laura Ingraham said. “They’re leaving the party because of like 10 issues in the lurch to the left. That’s, I mean, they’ve gone so far left, they’ve left America. I mean, this is an unrecognizable coalition of radicals.”
“Yes, Laura, they’re lurching further and farther towards insanity. Really, there’s no other word that I can find to describe it, you know,” Gabbard replied. “The list of reasons, unfortunately, is long. And I think we will continue to see more and more Americans who maybe call themselves Democrats and are used to but leaving the Democratic Party because of a whole host of reasons. It’s, you know, an elitist cabal of warmongers that’s made of corrupt politicians, the propaganda media, big tech, and the national security state. They are weaponizing the security state to go after political opponents.”
“They’re undermining our God-given rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution,” she continued. “You know, they are seeking to censor and silence anyone who does not agree with them. They’re tearing us apart with identity politics and racializing everything looking at what the NAACP just announced with Florida. I mean, the list, unfortunately, we could do a whole show on all of these things. And I think more and more Americans are seeing clearly what they’re doing not to the party. This isn’t about the party, but it’s really what are they doing to this country and how are they undermining our rights and freedoms in our democracy. That’s really what’s at the heart of this.”
During an appearance on FNC’s “Jesse Watters Tonight,” George Washington Law School professor and Fox News contributor Jonathan Turley said he expected continued resistance from the FBI, including from agency director Christopher Wray, as Congress continues its probe into alleged wrongdoing by President Joe Biden and his family.
“What do you predict Christopher Wray will do?” fill-in host Rachel Campos-Duffy asked.
“Well, my guess is he’s going to resist,” Turley replied. “You know, these forms are raw information at the FBI usually doesn’t release, but this is not your usual case. What is being alleged here is a form of corruption, not just by the president but a corruption of the FBI that this committee is looking into whether the government helped shield President Biden and his family members.”
“So, that’s something that falls within the oversight function of Congress,” he continued. “In fact, Congress is one of the few places where you can get those answers if the FBI itself is being implicated. So, there’s a lot of ways that you can accommodate Congress, and you can release some of this information into a classified setting. You could do so with heavy redactions. But so far, the FBI appears to have been completely oppositional and arguably obstructive to their efforts.”
“So, why do you think he is obstructing these efforts?” Campos-Duffy said. “I mean, why doesn’t he want to? Was it because he is implicated in the cover-up since 2020?”
“Well, you know, Rachel, the problem with the FBI is that you know, everybody likes redemptive sinners, but you also don’t want to be a chump when someone constantly says they’re redemptive sinner,” Turley said. “That’s what happened most recently with the Durham report. The FBI said, oh, well, you know, we reformed ourselves after those problems as well.”
“There’s no real evidence of that institutional change,” he added. “To the contrary, there’ve been complaints in the last few years of the same type of political bias. And so, I’m not too sure you’re going to see a significant change here. Wray knows that the attorney general has his back. And even though Merrick Garland really broke from past history and started to prosecute contempt of Congress charges, it’s expected that he will not do so now that the officials are members of his own administration.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) exclusively told Breitbart News on Thursday that FBI Director Christopher Wray is actively protecting the Biden family by stonewalling a congressional subpoena of an unclassified document that allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions between now-President Biden and a foreign national.
Greene, who is a member of the House Oversight Committee, said that Wray, among several other members of the Biden administration, seeks to safeguard the Biden family from justice.
“I think it’s clear and obvious that the DOJ, the FBI, Christopher Wray, Merrick Garland, and many others are protecting the Bidens,” Greene said when asked about the FBI’s refusal to provide the subpoenaed document to Congress.
On Wednesday, Wray agreed to schedule a meeting with House Oversight James Comer (R-KY) for next week to discuss the FBI’s refusal to hand over the unclassified document. The scheduled meeting, perhaps a stalling tactic, comes after Comer threatened to hold the FBI in contempt of Congress for failing to hand over the document.
Greene explained the document allegedly details a pay-for-play scheme that involves then Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national.
“IthasdirectevidenceofJoeBidenhimselfgettingpaidfromaforeignnationalforforeignpolicydecisions,” she said. “So,it’sarealpay-to-playschemewhenJoeBidenwas VicePresident.”
In May, the FBI did not deny the existence of the document but refused to comply with Comer’s subpoena, sparking the chairman to threaten to hold the FBI in contempt of Congress. Greene said if Wray fails to provide the document to Comer in next week’s meeting, “Then we only have one option, and that is to hold them in contempt of Congress.”
“But there’s also further consequences,” Green continued. “We’re already looking at our appropriations in our budget,” she said in reference to defunding the top brass at FBI and DOJ. “We’re looking at making cuts there. So, it’s not just contempt of Congress. [It] isn’t the only thing that we can do.”
While the FBI stonewalls Comer’s subpoena, his investigation continues to produce results.
In March, the probe identified three Biden family members who collectively received $1.3 million, wired through a Biden associate from a Chinese energy company two months after President Joe Biden left the vice presidency. In May, it found the Biden family business over the course of several years received at least $10 million from business schemes in Romania and China in return for what appears to be influence peddling. In total, nine Biden family members received payments from the family foreign business ventures, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren, Comer revealed.
“It just takes the courage of Republicans to move for impeachment,” she said in reference to the Biden family business ventures and record alleging wrongdoing by Joe Biden.
“If we were a just country, our Department of Justice would prosecute him [Joe Biden] and put them [family] in jail, because that’s highly illegal,” she said.
