Sen. Cotton: Biden’s Not Deploying FEMA to Stop Illegals, But to ‘Expedite Them, Wave Them in Even Faster’ By Craig Bannister | March 15, 2021 | 4:40pm EDT

The Biden administration isn’t sending the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to the southwest border in order to secure it, but to help and encourage illegal aliens to relocate to the U.S. even faster, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said Monday.
“They’re deploying FEMA to expedite” illegal immigration, Sen. Cotton told Fox News:
“They're not deploying FEMA to secure the border, to try to finish the wall, or to stop those migrants from crossing. They're deploying FEMA to expedite them, to wave them in even faster and give them a bus ticket and a plane ticket and send them wherever they want to go in the United States.
“That is the Biden border crisis."
Sen. Cotton was responding to comments House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) made to ABC earlier in the day, in which she claimed that Biden “inherited a broken system at the border.”
"At no point in that rambling, incoherent answer did Nancy Pelosi even come close to expressing a rational thought about what's happening at the border,” Sen. Cotton said. “What they inherited from the Trump administration was a border that was closed. We were building a wall and we were turning away all migrants who had no right to cross into our country.”
Noting that border crossing have increased every month since the election, Sen. Cotton attributed the current border crisis to “Joe Biden's promises of amnesty and open borders and free health care for illegals during the campaign. ”
Pelosi appeared to prove Cotton’s point Sunday, when she told ABC that FEMA is going to the border in order “to help facilitate” the transfer of illegal alien children “into family homes”:
"I'm so pleased that the president, as a temporary measure, has sent FEMA to the border in order to help facilitate the children going from one — the 72-hour issue into where they are cared for as they are transferred into family homes or homes that are safe for them to be.”
President Joe Biden’s flood of legal and illegal migrants is inflating the costs that ordinary Americans and their grown children must pay for housing, according to the Wall Street Journal .
“Global Migration Boom Keeps Housing Costs High: Surging immigration is boosting rents and supporting home prices, complicating inflation flight,” said the headline above a July 15 article in the Wall Street Journal .
The report cited a May study by Goldman Sachs, which said in an email that “rebounding immigration” is helping investors by bumping up housing prices:
[A] post-pandemic recovery in immigration appears to be boosting population growth, thereby lifting housing demand and limiting house price downside (Exhibit 5). This dynamic appears especially important in Canada and Australia, where immigration and population growth have rebounded most strongly.
Source: Haver Analytics, Goldman Sachs Global Investment Research
Similarly, an investigation of 18 countries by Canada’s leading bank, the Bank of Montreal, concluded that a one percent hike in population — via migration births or migration — spikes housing prices by three percent. In an email to Breitbart News:
We have shown in the past that there is a very clear-cut positive relationship between population growth and real home price increases (roughly, every 1% rise in the former translates to a 3% increase in the latter. For inflation, the relationship is less obvious. But, looking at 18 countries from 1999 to 2022 suggests that there is at least a weak positive relationship.

Establishment media outlets rarely recognize the impact of migration on housing, even when reporters try to cover the overcrowding and crime in taxpayer-funded shelters for migrants. This silence is also seen in many polls that portray immigration as a non-economic issue unrelated to housing or wages.
But Breitbart News has extensively covered the huge impact of migration on housing and wages in the United States, Canada, Australia, and other countries.

Since January 2021, President Joe Biden has admitted roughly eight million migrants into the United States, about one migrant for every American birth during the same period.
His flood includes roughly 3.2 million migrants welcomed across the southern border, 1.5 million “got-away” people who were allowed to sneak across the border, 800,000 “overstay ” illegals in 2022, two million legal immigrants, and more than 500,000 temporary white-collar workers.
This Biden flood doubled the nation’s population growth, creating a population shock that was bound to impact housing prices.
In the United States, the inflation in housing “was by far the biggest contributor” to inflation in March 2023, said a tweet by Kathy Jones, an economist at Charles Schwab & Co. Her tweeted chart shows the dominant share of shelter inflation in dark blue:
The flood of immigrants and the resulting price hikes are pushing up rents along the coasts and in the interior states. USAToday.com reported on July 5:
In Columbia, Tennessee, an hour outside Nashville, tenants have been organizing after seeing their rents explode in the past several years, causing more people to become homeless.
Judy Schwartz-Naber, a Walgreen’s employee … has seen her rent double from $450 to $900 a month in the past seven years. She said there’s “a lot of fear out there” as people face more threats of eviction.
The high price of city housing also keeps many young Americans in their rural communities, while migrants and their children crowd into urban housing. This process ensures that migrants and their children get the economic opportunities of urban living that would otherwise have gone to Americans’ kids, according to a pro-migration academic, Leah Boustan. “No matter which country their parents came from, children of immigrants are more likely than the children of the U.S.-born to surpass their parents’ incomes when they are adults,” economic historians said in a 2022 article for Time.com.
“Of all the worrisome trends in the American economy, the easiest one to turn around with the greatest downstream positives is to stop artificially juicing demand for housing through loose border policies,” Andrew Good, an analyst at NumbersUSA — an immigration reform group — told Breitbart News.
Real estate investors have a major influence over the GOP and the Democrat Party. On July 18, the New York Time s sketched the huge role of real estate investors in New York politics:
[Mayor Eric] Adams has raised $1.3 million since January for his 2025 re-election effort in the latest reporting period, drawing maximum $2,100 donations from real estate magnates like Marc Holliday, the chief executive of SL Green, the city’s largest commercial landlord, and its founder, Steve Green; and Alexander and Helena Durst, members of The Durst Organization real estate dynasty, according to new filings with the city’s Campaign Finance Board .
About $550,000 came from donors outside New York City who live in the suburbs, Florida and other states — a continuation of a pattern displayed early in his tenure, when he held fund-raisers in Beverly Hills and Chicago in his first months in office.
…
The real estate industry once again also provided the largest donor base for Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Buffalo Democrat who narrowly won a full four-year term in November. Of the $4.5 million her campaign raised in the first six months of the year, more than $950,000 came from developers and real estate investors, and more from other industries with business before the state, according to an analysis of her public filings by The Times.
“Most of our elites are dead set against slowing down the [migration] train,” Good said, adding, “Voters have to make an off-ramp for themselves, and even more crucially, for their kids and grandkids.”
Extraction Migration
The federal government has long operated an unpopular economic policy of Extraction Migration . This colonialism-like policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries, reduces beneficial trade , and uses the imported workers, renters, and consumers to grow Wall Street and the economy.
The migrant inflow has successfully forced down Americans’ wages and boosted rents and housing prices . The inflow of compliant and hardworking migrants has also pushed many ordinary or less-productive Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors and has contributed to the rising death rate of poor Americans.
The lethal policy sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.
The population inflow also reduces the political clout of native-born Americans because the population replacement allows elites to divorce themselves from the needs and interests of ordinary Americans.
In many speeches, border chief Alejandro Mayorkas says he is building a mass migration system to deliver workers to wealthy employers and investors and “equity ” to poor foreigners. The nation’s border laws are subordinate to elite opinion about “the values of our country ” Mayorkas claims.
Migration — and especially labor migration — is unpopular among swing voters . A 54 percent majority of Americans say Biden is allowing a southern border invasion, according to an August 2022 poll commissioned by the left-of-center National Public Radio (NPR). The 54 percent “Invasion” majority included 76 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats.

Governor Demands Biden Stop Risking Migrant Lives at Texas Border SUZANNE CORDEIRO / AFP 3:27
Texas Governor Greg Abbott responded the Department of Justice’s threat to sue the state over the recent deployment of a floating border barrier, saying, “Texas will see you in court, Mr. President.” The response came in a letter to President Joe Biden asking that he join with Texas to stop migrants from “wagering their lives in the waters of the Rio Grande.”
Citing authority from the U.S. and Texas Constitituions, Abbott told the president “Your ongoing violation of Article IV, § 4 of the U.S. Constitution has left me no other choice,” Abbott wrote in the letter. The governor went on to deny that the historic floating border barrier does not violate the Rivers and Harbors Act — an accusation made by the DOJ in its letter to Abbott on Friday.
“The fact is, if you would just enforce the immigration laws Congress already has on the books, America would not be suffering from your record-breaking level of illegal immigration,” Governor Abbott continued. “Neither of us wants to see another death in the Rio Grande River. Yet your open-border policies encourage migrants to risk their lives by crossing illegally through the water, instead of safely and legally at a port of entry. Nobody drowns on a bridge.”

The Texas governor laid out the following history regarding migrant deaths in Texas:
Two years before Texas deployed the floating marine barriers, and a year before it deployed concertina wire, a United Nations agency declared that the border between the United States and Mexico is the deadliest land crossing in the world, with 728 migrant deaths recorded in 2021. Before Texas took the action about which you now complain, hundreds of migrants drowned in the Rio Grande River trying to cross the border illegally. Before Texas took the action about which you now complain, 53 migrants who illegally crossed the border died in the back of an 18-wheel tractor trailer near San Antonio. Before Texas took the action about which you now complain, thousands of Americans lost their lives to the fentanyl that pours across our border daily. “If you truly care about human life, you must begin enforcing federal immigration laws,” Abbott stated. “By doing so, you can help me stop migrants from wagering their lives in the waters of the Rio Grande River.”
Absent assistance from the federal government, Abbott concluded, “In the meantime, Texas will fully utilize its constitutional authority to deal with the crisis you have caused.

DOJ Demands Texas Remove Floating Border Barriers – ‘See You in Court,’ Says Governor AP Photo/Eric Gay 3:16
The U.S. Department of Justice sent a letter to Texas Governor Greg Abbott threatening legal action if the State does not remove the recently installed floating border barrier. Governor Abbott responded on Twitter, saying, “We will see you in court, Mr. President.”
Assistant Attorney General Todd Kim and U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas Jaime Esparza sent a letter to Governor Abbott claiming the State illegally installed a floating border barrier in the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass, Texas. The letter claims the buoy barrier was installed without the approval of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The DOJ also claims the barrier violates the Rivers and Harbors Act by creating a hazard to navigation on the river.
Governor Abbott responded on Twitter and declared, “Texas has the sovereign right to defend our border, under the U.S. Constitution and the Texas Constitution.” The governor added that President Joe Biden’s refusal to secure the border “encourages migrants to risk their lives crossing illegally through the Rio Grande, instead of safely and legally over a bridge.”

In the DOJ’s letter, the government claims:
The floating barrier at issue here is a structure that obstructs the navigable capacity of the Rio Grande River, which is a navigable water of the United States within the meaning of the Rivers and Harbors Act. Texas does not have authorization from the Corps to install the floating barrier and did not seek such authorization before doing so.
Texas’s unauthorized construction of the floating barrier is a prima facie violation of the Rivers and Harbors Act. This floating barrier poses a risk to navigation, as well as public safety, in the Rio Grande River, and it presents humanitarian concerns.
The letter gives the State of Texas until 2 p.m. on July 24 to respond “indicating your commitment to expeditiously remove the floating barrier and related structures.” The DOJ claims it will take legal action if this demand is unmet.
Governor Abbott responded, “We will continue to deploy every strategy to protect Texans and Americans — and the migrants risking their lives.”
“We will see you in court, Mr. President,” Abbott stated.

Sanctuary City Los Angeles Protects Nearly 800 Criminal Illegal Aliens from Deportation in 2022 FREDERIC J. BROWN/AFP via Getty Images 2:23
The sanctuary city of Los Angeles, California, is bragging about its policy protecting nearly 800 criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency last year.
A report issued by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reveals the extent to which city officials impose a strict sanctuary policy to shield criminal illegal aliens from being turned over to ICE agents, even when they are arrested for local crimes.
In 2022, the LAPD received 783 detainers from ICE — requests that criminal illegal aliens be turned over to the federal agency for arrest and deportation. In every case, the ICE detainer was ignored and likely hundreds of those in police custody were directly released back into the community.
LAPD officials claim public safety is their “top priority,” despite the sanctuary policy.
“Our ongoing focus is to ensure the victims and witnesses are not afraid to contact the police, report crime or become witnesses as necessary, regardless of their immigration status,” LAPD officials said.
Sanctuary city proponents, like the LAPD, often claim the policy is necessary to ensure illegal alien crime victims report such crimes to the police. Research, though, has shown that sanctuary policies do not boost crime reporting among illegal aliens.
The report comes as the Los Angeles City Council recently moved to codify its sanctuary policy into its local ordinances. Already, city officials are required to abide by California’s sanctuary state policy.
California, today, has the nation’s largest illegal alien population, with nearly 3.3 million illegal aliens residing across the sanctuary state. This is an illegal population larger than the resident populations of 20 states, including Nevada, Idaho, Arkansas, Kansas, New Mexico, and Iowa.

Border Encounters Quadruple Under Biden's Watch, CBP Data Show The number of aliens trying to enter the U.S. monthly has quadrupled during the Biden Administration – and that doesn’t even count those who slip into the country without encountering border agents – analysis of U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) data reveals.
During the Trump Administration, an average of 50,789 aliens were encountered at the border by the CBP.
Under the watch of Pres. Joe Biden and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro N. Mayorkas (February 2021-June 2023), that average is nearly four times higher: 193,337.
Police: Mexican National Viciously Murdered Three Dallas Women Dallas County Sheriff's Office 3:09
A Mexican national has been accused in the possible serial murders of three women in Dallas, Texas, and dumping their bodies along a river.
Twenty-five-year-old Oscar Sanchez Garcia allegedly targeted prostitutes and left their bodies near the Trinity River between April and July, the New York Post reported Friday.
Authorities arrested the suspect on Wednesday, per the Dallas Police Department.
“The preliminary investigation identified Sanchez Garcia as the suspect through evidence gathered by detectives. He will be charged with three counts of murder,” the agency said.
His bail has reportedly been set at $4 million.
The man is being held on an immigration detainer while officials try to determine his legal status, according to the Post .
Surveillance footage, vehicle information, cell phone records, and DNA from sexual assault kits helped law enforcement pinpoint the suspect.
Officials said, “Kimberly Robinson, 60, was discovered dead on April 22, on the same block of Santa Fe Avenue where 25-year-old Cherish Gibson was found weeks later on June 24,” the Post article noted, adding authorities are trying to identify the third woman who was found dead on Saturday near the other victims.
Robinson’s daughter told WFAA she is relieved the man accused of stabbing her mother to death has been found, noting her mother was deeply loved.
“I just prayed a lot that this day would come. Unfortunately, I’m sad that two more people had to lose their lives before he was caught,” she said. “Regardless of the lifestyle, nobody deserves that,” she continued:
VIDEO
The outlet noted law enforcement said two of the three victims have ties to prostitution.
During a recent interview regarding the case, a sex trafficking victim told WFAA, “When you dehumanize a person to the point they become a commodity, that means now you’re just a product to someone that is to be paid for, used, and discarded.”
VIDEO
WFAA reported Thursday a passerby found Robinson underneath a bridge, naked from the waist down, and stabbed.
Two months later, a man driving along a gravel road in the area thought he drove his vehicle over a chain, but it turned out to be Gibson’s body, which was also partially naked and appeared to have stab wounds.
A man walking his dog later found the third victim.
Not long before Robinson’s body was located, Garcia was arrested for hitting his wife after she allegedly used his bank card to buy diapers, the outlet said:

In other news, an illegal alien accused of murder has been identified among the approximately 2.2 million illegals released into the United States as President Joe Biden’s (D) Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stands watch, Breitbart News reported July 6.
The man is 31-year-old Miguel Angel Genao, and the article noted, “The Biden administration has released into American communities others wanted for murder.”
A new Center for Immigration Studies video report highlights Texas Governor Abbott’s “Operation Hold the Line”, which has state police and National Guard block immigrants at the Rio Grande River’s edge, and President Biden’s undermining of the state’s efforts to enforce the laws.
Todd Bensman, the Center for Immigration Studies’ senior national security fellow, captures the border war, showing many of the initiatives undertaken by the state in and around Eagle Pass, Texas, a hot spot for illegal immigrant crossings. Bensman speaks with several illegal immigrants who successfully entered the country and with others who were discouraged and returned to Mexico. They told Bensman of their plans to go around the Texas border blockade and to search for U.S. Border Patrol officers, who the migrants feel are certain to admit them into the U.S.
Bensman explains, “None of these immigrants are really giving up, because they all know full well there’s an antidote, a solution, to this Texas halt-and-block operation – it is President Joe Biden’s Border Patrol. The immigrants know that if they can bust the Texas blockade and link up with Biden’s Border Patrol agents, they will be escorted in right past Texas’s fortifications.”
Republican Impeachment Report: Border Chief Mayorkas Violated Oath of Office Michael M. Santiago/Getty Images 7:29
President Joe Biden’s pro-migration border chief violated his oath of office to “well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office,” a Republican report says.
“On Feb. 2, 2021, incoming DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas swore that oath,” said the July 20 report by the House Committee on Homeland Security, which is chaired by Rep. Mark Green (R-TN):
The American people expected him to abide by his oath, defend the homeland, and uphold the Constitution. If Mayorkas has failed to uphold his oath, he should be considered derelict in his duty as secretary.
Rep. Mark Green (R-TN). (Elijah Nouvelage/Bloomberg via Getty Images)
The report is titled “DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ Dereliction of Duty ,” and is part of the five-point Republican effort to build a case for impeaching Mayorkas:
Mayorkas is not an innocent bystander at the mercy of the federal bureaucracy, global events, or political opponents — he is the chief architect of the illegal immigration crisis that Americans have suffered through since January 2021.
He has either willfully sparked the current crisis through his extreme and irresponsible policies, or is such a poorly informed, inefficient, and inflexible leader that he is negligent in his duties. Either way, he has been derelict in his duty to secure the border, defend the homeland, and keep the American people safe, violating his oath to defend the Constitution and faithfully discharge the duties of his office.

However, the report was undermined when it was released on the same day Republicans also held a contentious hearing. That rival event spotlighted evidence that then-Vice President Joe Biden took bribes from foreign officials, often via his son, Hunter Biden, and provided an excuse for media outlets to ignore the GOP report.
The report was first leaked to pro-establishment site DailyCaller.com, where it prompted a mere five comments from readers.

Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas via Storyful The report also hides the vast economic damage done to ordinary Americans by Mayorkas’s welcome for wage-cutting, rent-spiking migrants. For example, the terms “wages” and “salaries” are not mentioned in the report, and the only reference to the employment of migrants is related to Footnote 318.
The report also lacks a theme — even a phrase — to help explain why Mayorkas has decided to violate his oath of office. Without that theme, it appears to readers as an endless chain of inexplicable claims.
The silence comes as Mayorkas’ migration is causing voters — including swing voters — to complain about rising rents and house prices throughout the United States. But the Republican report does mention child migrants being forced into work, and also includes much useful data on the tax monies being spent on migrants.

Mayorkas dismissed the impeachment effort in a softball interview with Politico :
I am incredibly proud of my record in federal service, and I love serving our country. This country gave my family, including me, a new life. We fled the communist takeover of Cuba. And it’s a tremendous source of pride for me to have served our country and to continue serving our country … I have a very good understanding of who I am and what I am trying to do for our country … False accusations do not dent that one bit.
The report includes much useful data and many damning statements:
Section 1: Laws and Court Orders Mayorkas Has Ignored, Abused, or Failed to Follow
Section 2: Actions Taken to Encourage and Facilitate Mass Illegal Immigration
Section 3: Actions Taken to Spread Illegal Aliens Across the Country
Section 4: Mayorkas’ False and Dishonest Statements
Section 5: Dereliction By the Numbers
The section on “Mayorkas’ False and Dishonest Statements” is 40 pages long.
Overall, the report concludes:
Mayorkas has ignored, abused, or failed to enforce nearly a dozen laws passed by Congress. Time after time, where the law unequivocally prohibits or requires certain actions by the secretary, Mayorkas has done the exact opposite.

Mayorkas and Migration
In 1990, Congress set immigration caps at roughly 1 million per year and also barred employers from hiring illegal migrants. The inflow was roughly one migrant for every four American births. Since January 2021, Biden and Mayorkas have imported roughly 6 million people via various legal, illegal, and quasi-legal doors in the border. That inflow is roughly three migrants for every four American births.
Mayorkas is a pro-migration zealot , who has said his border management is “all about achieving equity , which is really the core founding principle of our country.” Mayorkas wants equity between U.S. citizens and foreign citizens, and he has opened many loopholes for millions of economic migrants to cross into the United States, regardless of the vast impact on Americans:
VIDEO
Amid the massive inflow of roughly 2 million global economic migrants in 2022, Mayorkas insists the border is “secure,” and rejects any criticism of his deadly , elite-backed wealth-shifting policies. “We cannot have the rights and the needs of individuals who are seeking humanitarian relief in the United States be exploited for political purposes,” he told ABC News on January 1.
In February 2023, Mayorkas said Congress’ laws are less important than his pro-migration priorities . “Our goal is to achieve operational control of the border … [with] policies that really advance the security of the border, and do not come at the cost of the values of our country,” he said.
Mayorkas claimed on April 27 that his policy offers carrots and sticks to migrants: “We are building lawful pathways for people to come to the United States without resorting to the smugglers. At the same time we are imposing consequences on those who do not use those pathways and instead irregularly migrate to our southern border.”
But that humanitarian pitch is tied to a promise of cheap labor for business investors. On December 13, for example, Mayorkas told ElPasoMatters how he wants to expand the U.S. economy by extracting more workers, consumers, and renters from foreign countries:
Our immigration system as a whole is broken. It hasn’t been updated or reformed in more than 40 years. We look to our partner to the north that has a much more nimble immigration system that can be retooled to the needs at the moment. For example, Canada is in need of 1 million workers and they have agreed that in 2023, they will admit 1.4 million … immigrants to fill that labor need that Canadians themselves cannot. We are stuck in antiquated laws that do not meet our current needs. And they haven’t been working for many, many years.
Mayorkas, however, is protected by business groups that favor the colonialism-like Extraction Migration policy.

'We Have No More Room': 'Sanctuary' NYC Mayor Pleads For Help Amid Migrant Influx
During a Wednesday press conference, NYC Mayor Eric Adams admitted defeat to the immigrant bussing policies of Texas and Florida.
For over a year, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Texas Governor Greg Abbott have shipped illegal immigrants from the southern border to places like New York City and Chicago . This policy keeps their states free–and shows the liberal states the tangible, difficult results of leftism.
Now, Adams has finally called for help.
“We stated several months ago that we have reached full capacity, and that full capacity was verbalized, and now New York is just going to be visually actualized,” Adams claimed. “We’re going to see how much of our cup has basically runneth over. We have no more room in the city, and we need help.”

As a result, Adams is calling upon the state and federal governments for assistance, blaming them for leaving New York City helpless.
“This cannot continue, is not sustainable, and we’re not going to pretend as though it is sustainable,” Adams declared . “This is wrong that New York City is carrying the weight of a national problem.”
Adams followed up his plea for help with unflattering words for Abbott.
“Unlike Texas, where Governor Abbott is ordering troops to push migrant children into the Rio Grande and deny asylum seekers drinking water, our city has continued to respond with humanity and compassion," he accused.
Here’s hoping that the immigrant influx will help leftist states realize that America is, indeed, the best country on Earth – and we need to secure our borders to keep it that way.

Upstate Motel Kicks Out Guests After NYC Moves Migrants In New York City mayor Eric Adams (D.) / Getty Images A motel in upstate New York kicked out guests this week to make room for a busload of migrants from New York City.
The facility, a Super 8 motel in Rotterdam, kicked guests out without warning, including some in poverty, the Times Union reported . Officials reportedly had signed a contract with the hotel to house the migrants who originally were sent from Texas.
"There are so many questions we have," Rotterdam town supervisor Mollie Collins said. "Because we haven’t been given any information."
Some of those kicked out of their rooms were people who get assistance from the Department of Social Services in Montgomery County, a neighboring jurisdiction.
New York City mayor Eric Adams (D.), who has overseen the busing of migrants to other parts of the state despite advertising his city as a sanctuary city, said the displaced guests were offered "extended stay" lodging at no charge nearby.
"Guests at that hotel were all offered to be relocated and booked for an extended stay at a comparable hotel in the same area free of charge," Adams’s office said . "All but one reservation took our contractor up on that offer and instead preferred to be re-booked at the comparable hotel on a daily basis, which we facilitated."
New York City this week announced it will distribute notices at the U.S.-Mexico border to tell migrants to "consider another city."
"Please consider another city as you make your decision about where to settle in the U.S.," the notice reads in English and Spanish.
New York City sued counties that refused to accept migrants from the city in June. Thirty-three counties and one town were named in the suit. The localities filed emergency orders to keep migrants bused in from New York City from staying in their hotels.
Adams first called for busing migrants to surrounding counties in May. Localities quickly declared emergencies, including Rockland and Orange Counties, which were slated to receive hundreds of migrants to fill their hotels. Both counties are named in the suit.
Adams has criticized Texas governor Greg Abbott (R.) for "deciding to play politics with people's lives" by busing migrants to other states.
"Yes, New York City will remain a sanctuary city under an Adams administration," Adams tweeted while campaigning for mayor in 2021.

Mayor Eric Adams’ administration will begin warning illegal aliens at the United States-Mexico border not to travel and resettle in New York City, telling them that the cost of housing is high and that they are not guaranteed shelter or care.
Since the spring of last year, more than 90,000 border crossers and illegal aliens have arrived in sanctuary New York City. The majority, about 55,000, are living off local taxpayers in city-run hotel rooms, shelters, and other facilities.
Now, Adams has said his office will begin issuing fliers to border crossers and illegal aliens begging them not to travel to New York City — warning them about the high cost of living and housing prices and asking them to “please consider another city” to resettle.

On Thursday, Adams said New York City has “reached full capacity.”
“We’re going to see how much of our cup has basically runneth over. We have no more room in the city and we need help,” Adams said.
Last month, Breitbart News reported how Adams has started sending border crossers and illegal aliens to other states and cities — a policy he has long blasted Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott (R) for implementing, calling it “anti-American.”
The sheer volume of border crossers and illegal aliens staying in shelters has increased the system’s population by more than 110 percent since Adams took office. To afford subsidizing new arrivals, Adams has said New Yorkers will see public services like meals for senior citizens and library hours cut.
Every day, illegal immigration is costing New Yorkers nearly $8 million, and by the middle of next year, Adams predicts it will have cost more than $4.2 billion.

Report: ‘Dangerous’ NYC Migrant Shelters Filled with Gang Members David Dee Delgado/Getty Images 1:53
New York City’s migrant shelters are plagued with “volatile” and “dangerous” conditions, prompting a search by city officials to hire private security guards for the facilities, a report details.
Since the spring of last year, more than 84,000 border crossers and illegal aliens have arrived in New York City with about 50,000 remaining in shelters across the city, now outnumbering native New Yorkers.
Gregory Floyd with Teamsters Local 237 told the New York Post that the migrant shelters are too dangerous for the unarmed peace officers he represents. Some, Floyd said, are gang members.
“There are migrants who are gang members in these facilities,” Floyd told the Post .
“It’s volatile. It’s dangerous,” he continued. “We don’t know if all these migrants are properly vetted. My members are unarmed.”
As Breitbart News reported , more than six-in-ten border crossers and illegal aliens who have arrived in New York City since the spring of last year are living off local taxpayers in subsidized housing and shelters — including luxury hotels like the Roosevelt Hotel.

FILL THEM WITH JOE'S ILLEGALS???
Empty suit, empty suites: Joe Biden's government of empty buildings
We often ask who's running the government with a White House led by doddering Joe Biden.
But with a new audit out, maybe the real question is what is the government.
According to the Washington Examiner:
The evacuation of federal headquarters during the COVID-19 crisis appears to have become permanent and costly with up to 90% of several agency headquarters empty, according to a federal audit.
At least 6 of 24 Washington area headquarters are 90% empty, including several that manage federal office space and employees such as the General Services Administration and the Office of Personnel Management.
The audit from the Government Accountability Office found that just six agencies were operating with half of their staff in the office during the first three months of 2023, the latest sign that efforts to get federal employees back into the office after the coronavirus crisis and after years of encouraging telework have failed.
The findings echo private sector reports. In Washington, private offices are less than 40% full.
Turns out the government buildings Joe Biden presides over in his expensive, bloated government are about as empty as the old dotard's head.
It's like we have a pretend president, presiding over a pretend government.
Practically every agency headquarters is something like 80% empty.
But the empty buildings still stand, as if to suggest that something had been there. Mainly, it's the illusion of power and importance.
Overall, Uncle Sam owns or leases 511 million square feet. That includes some 1,500 buildings and 7,685 leases. It costs $7 billion a year to maintain buildings and lease others, said GAO.
The auditing agency urged headquarters to consider consolidating or dumping space and to even consider joining with other agencies to share space.
But many rejected that advice. “One official said their leadership is reluctant to share headquarters space with other agencies because it could lower their perceived standing as a cabinet-level agency,” said the audit report.
One thing the audit also notes is that these empty buildings waste a lot of electricity even with no one in them. So as Joe Biden tries to shove us into green vehicles and pay more at the pump to bankroll his energy transition, he's busy burning electricity ... on nothing.
The Wall Street Journal, in an editorial on the matter, has noted that even the worst empty building problems in the private sector, such as vacant office towers in big blue-run cities, are dwarfed by the emptiness of the federal government buildings .
The near-uniform emptiness across different agencies is another way the government stands out. Weekly attendance in the bottom quarter of surveyed offices is a measly 9%, and not one reported attendance above 50%. Compare that with corporate offices in New York, where average in-office attendance surpassed 50% last month, according to turnstile operator Kastle Systems.
The question is: Why are we paying for this? If the federal government can't get its post-COVID pandemic-era employees to come back to the office, then it's time for layoffs. If the government can function as it does on 20% of its people, then maybe it's time to lay the other 80% off.
The Journal notes that Congress does have a law for getting rid of empty government office space and recovering the expense for taxpayers:
The Federal Property Management Reform Act of 2016 mandates that the executive branch create and carry out annual plans to reduce its unused space. The law was passed by a GOP Congress and signed by President Obama, but it has spurred little action. The GAO report says the law has “improved the focus on real property management,” yet concedes that “federal agencies continue to have unneeded space.”
House Republicans seeking a small victory could demand that the Office of Management and Budget enforce the law and help federal agencies shed some of their extra space. The merits of working from home may be up for debate, but there’s no need to fund empty offices from the public purse.
Which should be a good project for the House and Senate.
Already, we know that at least some of them are trying to get something done.
Recall, for instance, that back in March, Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana grilled Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra on why the parking lots were so empty at 10:30 a.m. on a weekday at many of his agency's offices , which I wrote about here :
“How many are at their desk as opposed to being at home, or someplace else, the coffee shop or whatever?” Cassidy asked Becerra, after the cabinet secretary said that the department’s employees were working full time.
“What we make sure we care about is that they’re performing and they’re delivering,” Becerra said.
There was a whiff of what the problem here was in that answer, as Becerra kept gaslighting her about all his employees performing their jobs well.
Obviously, these characters view the big buildings with their agencies' names on them as proxies for their own power and importance. That will make getting rid of these costly hulks and husks all that much harder.
But they do need to get rid of them if for nothing else to save the taxpayers money. The federal government is already overspending us into inflation, and that activity has consequences. Cutting the fat in government, and shedding the excess buildings is probably the only way to restore our economy to health. This situation is not a sign of national vigor, or growth, or anything positive -- and you can bet that nations such as China and Russia are taking note.
Congress should tell these agencies they can finance themselves through selling their excess buildings that their employees won't work in, and getting rid of those who aren't showing up to work, because they aren't going to hand them another dime until they do.

I have a plan to win the drug war, let’s legalize drugs. Also, let’s end murder by legalizing murder. The mass migrant invasion at the border? That’s easy. Just legalize the invaders. That’s Biden’s plan.
And the media reports this with a straight face .
The Biden administration has welcomed over half a million migrants under programs designed to reduce illegal border entries or offer a safe haven to refugees, using a 1950s law to launch the largest expansion of legal immigration in modern U.S. history
Exciting! Finally, we can reduce illegal border entries by allowing the invaders in legally.
In less than two years, the administration has allowed at least 541,000 migrants to enter the U.S. through the immigration parole authority, which gives federal officials the power to authorize the entry of foreigners who lack visas, according to internal government statistics, court records and public reports.
The unprecedented use of the parole authority has allowed officials to divert migration away from the southern border by offering would-be migrants a legal and safe alternative to journeying to the U.S. with the help of smugglers and entering the country unlawfully
Instead of trying to stop them from invading America illegally, Biden has authorized them to invade America legally. We don’t want invaders going to the trouble of unsafely and illegally invading us when Biden can just authorize them to invade us legally and safely.
Taken together, the immigration parole programs created by the Biden administration amount to the most significant expansion of legal immigration in three decades. And to the dismay of Republican critics, the administration has done so unilaterally, without explicit consent from Congress, which has not expanded legal immigration levels since 1990 amid decades of partisan gridlock.
Congress, laws, who cares about these things? Presidents should have the authority to do any leftist thing they want, but no authority to do any conservative thing. That’s pretty simple, isn’t it?
The number of migrants paroled into the U.S. is expected to increase even further. The program powered by the CBP One app currently allows up to 529,250 migrants to be processed each year
Good news. Illegal crossings are down… because they’re now legal.
Officials, for example, have credited the CBP One app and program for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans — as well as stricter asylum rules — for a dramatic drop in illegal crossings along the southern border in recent weeks.
Also if you create a big hole in the walls of banks, fewer people will break into the front of the bank.
The senior DHS officials said they expect migrants to leave the U.S. once their parole expires if they have not gained permanent status by applying for programs like asylum or visas for relatives of Americans.
“If they, at the end of the two years, have not found a lawful pathway in the U.S., our expectation is that we will be seeking to remove those individuals,” one official said.
Like all the millions of illegal aliens already in the United States. Is there a human being on earth dumb enough to believe this lie?
The Biden administration continues to illegally seize and wield unlimited authority to implement radical leftist goals. All of those goals, like the border invasion, add up to the destruction of America.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) gave hundreds of millions in American taxpayer money to sanctuary cities, those jurisdictions protecting illegal aliens from arrest and deportation, in 2021, new data reveals.
Federal data compiled by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) shows that in 2021, Biden’s first year in office, the DOJ awarded about $300 million to 11 sanctuary states and 86 sanctuary counties and cities that refuse to turn criminal illegal aliens over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency for arrest and deportation.

The taxpayer money was funneled to the sanctuary jurisdictions through three DOJ grant programs: the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP), the Byrne Justice Assistance Grants (JAG), and the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program.

Sanctuary jurisdictions are receiving this funding despite having adopted policies to hinder cooperation between local law enforcement agencies and federal immigration authorities. As a result, the federal government is subsidizing agencies that may be violating federal law and undermining public safety. [Emphasis added]

The majority of SCAAP and Byrne JAG program funding went to sanctuary jurisdictions in 2021; 58 percent of the SCAAP funding and 68 percent of the Byrne JAG funding went to sanctuaries, while 28 percent of the COPS funding went to sanctuaries. [Emphasis added]

In particular, Chicago, Illinois; San Francisco, California; Washington, DC; San Bernardino County, California; and Nassau County, New York were among the top sanctuary counties and cities in the nation to secure tens of millions in DOJ funding in 2021.
Meanwhile, sanctuary states were the biggest sanctuary beneficiaries of DOJ grants.

CORPORATE LANDLORDS LOOT AMERICA AND DO SO WITH IMPUNITY
The majority of U.S. renters are in danger of losing their homes this year without even knowing about the risks they’re facing. At this point, protection programs have expired, prices have ballooned and the number of evictions is rising at an alarming pace all over the country. In many cities, eviction filing rates have more than doubled already, and a set of factors will further complicate affordability issues and push more Americans into the streets in the next few months. It is being reported that the long-feared eviction tsunami is here, and new data provided by the Princeton Eviction Lab the depth of this crisis that is upending many people's lives in 2023.
After a pause caused by the pandemic’s renter protection programs, eviction fillings by landlords are roaring back in recent months, fueled by soaring rent prices and a long-running shortage of affordable rental units. According to the Eviction Lab, a research group at Princeton University, of the 44 million renters nationwide, about 23 million are low-income tenants carrying elevated levels of debt, and they are just one emergency or job loss away from falling behind on rent and facing eviction.
Countrywide, eviction fillings are more than 50% higher than the pre-pandemic average, and in some metros, evictions have already doubled, and cases continue to pile up. Since January 2022, landlords have filed more than 5 million eviction cases. In fact, researchers found that in 20 out of 32 major cities tracked by the group, court filings rose by double- or triple-digit percentages in 2023. In October, Nashville evictions also doubled. Local firms, such as Clever Real Estate Company, report that rent prices in the city shoot up nearly 256% from 2000 to 2022. In the past two years alone, average rents rose from $500 to $1000, according to data provided by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. “There’s been an uptick in people getting kicked out of their homes in Nashville in recent months,” one local official said.
But the truth is that numbers are up everywhere. Compared to 2022, eviction filings increased by nearly 80% in the 10 states and 34 cities that the Eviction Lab tracks, ad revealed by Peter Hepburn, associate director at the Eviction Lab and an associate sociology professor at Rutgers University, Newark.
This impressive surge could spell disaster for tens of millions of tenants. On top of the immediate threat of homelessness, many landlords do not rent to people with an eviction on their record, limiting housing options for struggling Americans for years to come. This year, Zillow estimates the national average rent has ballooned some 26 percent. That means rent is more than $400 a month higher than it was in early 2020.
This is a national tragedy that may reach catastrophic proportions if nothing is done to support renters and prevent these companies from price gouging their tenants. An eviction crisis could certainly make our streets more dangerous, weaken our economy and cause an immense amount of suffering in our society. We should be heading towards a path of growth of prosperity, but instead, the agencies that were supposed to serve and protect Americans are leading our nation to the wrong direction, and pushing our citizens to utter financial ruin.
More than five million illegal aliens have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border since Joe Biden took office, according to a study from the Federation for American Immigration Reform. With some exceptions, these migrants tend to be low-skilled, poor, and come from countries where violence is normal and women and certain minorities are degraded. By importing millions of foreign nationals who come from countries with cultures and values that are diametrically opposed to ours, American leaders are setting the stage for exactly the kind of strife and turmoil that is occurring in France.
Tom McClintock Breaks Down Biden Border Crisis: 5.5M Illegals at Border, 2.1M Released into U.S., 1.5M Got-Aways Antti Aimo-Koivisto/Lehtikuva/HERIKA MARTINEZ/AFP via Getty Images 4:52
House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement Chairman Tom McClintock (R-CA) detailed, in numbers, the extent to which the nation’s southern border remains more porous than ever under President Joe Biden’s watch.
During his opening statement at the subcommittee’s hearing on Thursday regarding criminal illegal aliens living throughout the United States, McClintock said the Biden administration’s policies have created “sanctuaries for criminal illegal aliens” while forcing “a dystopian nightmare for law-abiding citizens … who must live in them.”
By the numbers, McClintock said there have been more than 5.5 million illegal aliens encountered at the U.S.-Mexico border since Biden took office in late January 2021 — a foreign population that far exceeds the city of Los Angeles, California.
More than 2.1 million illegal aliens, McClintock said, have been released directly into American communities by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This is a foreign population equivalent to the city of Houston, Texas.
Similarly, more than 1.5 million illegal aliens are known to have successfully entered the U.S. interior without being apprehended by Border Patrol. This is a foreign population the size of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
“Among the 1.5 million known got-aways, there is no way to estimate the number of terrorists and criminals entering the country,” McClintock said:
But we do know this: By surrendering to border patrol, you are virtually assured of being released into the country. The 1.5 million who have evaded border patrol have done so for a reason: They are either conducting criminal activity or they are hiding criminal records. [Emphasis added]
VIDEO
McClintock also noted the Biden administration “has essentially adopted the sanctuary policies that prevent many dangerous illegal aliens from being deported after they have been convicted and incarcerated for committing other crimes while in the United States.”
Indeed, after the Supreme Court recently ruled that states lack standing to sue over Biden’s so-called “sanctuary country” orders — which ensure most of the nation’s 11 to 22 million illegal aliens are not eligible for deportation — DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas reinstated the orders.
The lack of arrests and deportations from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency under Biden, McClintock said, paints a clear picture of the impact of the orders:
In fiscal year 2020 — the last year of the [Donald] Trump administration — ICE removed 186,000 aliens from the United States. Two years into the Biden administration, deportations have plunged to only 72,000 — a decline of more than 60 percent. [Emphasis added]
The Trump administration removed 104,000 convicted criminals from the country in fiscal year 2020, yet the Biden administration only removed 38,000 in fiscal year 2022. That requires repeating. The number of convicted criminal aliens removed from our country has declined by nearly two-thirds under this administration. [Emphasis added]
Similarly, in 2020, the Biden administration removed just 60 percent of the number of known or suspected gang members as the Trump administration had done just two years prior. [Emphasis added]
RELATED: Rep. Troy Nehls Recounts Horror Story of Woman Killed by Illegal Previously Deported 6 (!!!) Times
U.S. House of Representatives As Breitbart News reported , the orders have also ensured that fewer criminal illegal aliens are ever taken into ICE custody, even after their arrests for local crimes.
Since Biden took office, ICE has cut the number of detainers issued to local police. These detainers ask the police to hold illegal aliens in their custody until they can be turned over to ICE agents for arrest and deportation.
Under the Trump administration, ICE issued more than 15,000 detainers a month in parts of 2018 and averaged about 13,000 to 14,000 detainers a month before Fiscal Year 2020. Compare those monthly figures to when Biden took office, and monthly detainers dropped to 2,200 by March 2021.
“Explain to me how this makes our communities safer. Does anyone seriously believe that making it harder to remove criminal illegal aliens from our communities makes our communities safer?” McClintock asked.

Gallup: Most GOP Voters Say Migration Damages U.S. Economy E. McGregor, P. Ratje, Y. Iwamura, M. Tama, Q. Weizhong/Getty; H. Daley/AP 6:30
Two-thirds of GOP voters believe the nation’s economy is made worse by legal and illegal migration, Gallup reported on July 13.
The 64 percent share of GOP votes who say the economy is made “worse” by migration is five times larger than the 14 percent share who say migration makes the economy “better,” Gallup reported .
The 5:1 split also creates a 50-point gap between the party’s two wings, which can be described as employees and employers, or populists and business libertarians, or voters and donors.
In contrast, most Democrat voters have followed the path demanded by their investor-backed leaders, despite the growing damage to white-collar , blue-collar , and black Democrats.
So Gallup reported that 62 percent of Democrats say migration makes the economy “better” while 17 percent say it makes the economy “worse.” Those numbers show a plus 46-point pro-migration gap in the nation’s left-wing party, said Gallup’s June 1-22 poll .
Gallup’s overall result matches other polls that show a plurality of the public now say migration makes their nation “worse off.”
Nationwide, Gallup’s data says Americans split evenly — 39 percent to 38 percent — on whether migration benefits the nation, even though polls show the public underestimates the scale of migration.
The rising opposition is fueled by the public recognition that migration shifts wealth from millions of ordinary Americans toward older investors living in coastal states.
GOP voters’ optimistic views on migration and the economy only began to fall in 2017.
That downturn came as the party’s voters overrode the business-backed GOP leaders and installed immigration-skeptic Donald Trump as party chief and then president. Since 2017, the GOP voters’ views have grown to the 5o-point “worse” score reported by Gallup.
WATCH: Immigrants Make Camp, Scatter Belongings and Trash in Police Stations Around Chicago
Rebecca Brannon, Independent Photojournalist/LOCAL NEWS X /TMX The voters’ views about the economy have created a huge — and also skewed — partisan gap in support for more or less migration, Gallup said.
The parties had broadly similar internal splits over migration from roughly 1993 up to 2012 when President Barack Obama openly sided with pro-migration groups during his 2012 reelection. Since then, most Democrats have supported more migration.
But GOP voters have firmly turned against more migration in recent years, leaving the party with a massive 63-point advantage for the less-migration faction.
Gallup reported:
Currently, 73% of Republicans, matching the prior high from 1995, want immigration decreased, while 10% want it increased, meaning their net preference for more immigration is -63.
By contrast, 40% of Democrats want it increased, while just 18% want it decreased — a +22 net preference score.
The negative view of migration among nearly all GOP voters has largely blocked donor demands for more migration.
But the donors’ economic clout has also blocked the voters’ demands for a reduction in migration.
The populist opposition to migration is being voiced by top GOP legislators, including Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). “This country has prioritized the importation of cheap labor,” including legal cheap labor, Rubio wrote in his 2023 book . The book is titled, “Decades of Decadence: How Our Spoiled Elites Blew America’s Inheritance of Liberty, Security, and Prosperity.”
The two parties’ supporters disagree about many aspects of migration:
Swing-voting independents — many of whom care little about migration — have drifted towards a modestly minus-12 point view against migration. “Independents still tilt negative, with 27% wanting it increased and 39% increased, or -12,” while 32 percent say “present level,” Gallup reported.
But that swing-voter skepticism is not being mobilized by GOP leaders. Their passivity is caused by the major GOP donors who strongly oppose a pocketbook pitch to voters who feel pressured in Biden’s high-migration, low-wage economy.
The migrant inflow has successfully forced down Americans’ wages and also boosted rents and housing prices . The inflow has also pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors and contributed to the rising death rate of poor Americans.
The lethal policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.
The population inflow also reduces the political clout of native-born Americans, because the population replacement allows elites to divorce themselves from the needs and interests of ordinary Americans.
FLASHBACK: Migrants REFUSE to Leave NYC Hotel, Demand Taxpayers Give Them “Permanent Homes”
@datainput via Storyful In many speeches, President Joe Biden’s border chief, Alejandro Mayorkas, says he is building a mass migration system to deliver workers to wealthy employers and investors and “equity ” to poor foreigners. The nation’s border laws are subordinate to elite opinion about “the values of our country ” Mayorkas claims.
Migration — and especially, labor migration — is unpopular among swing voters .
From April 2020 to April 2021, more than 100,000 Americans died from drug overdoses, according to data from the National Center for Health Statistics. An overwhelming majority of those deaths came from opioids, and fentanyl smuggling has surged at the southern border since the start of Joe Biden's presidency. Joseph Simonson and Collin Anderson “Joe Biden is great on immigration. I guess depends on your perspective. If you’re a human trafficker, or drug dealer, you’d give him an A-plus, but theAmerican people would give him an F. The crisis at our border was not only entirely predictable, it was predicted. I predicted that if you campaign all year long on open borders, amnesty, and health care for illegals, you’re going to get more migrants at the border. That’s what’s happened since the election.” SEN. TOM COTTON

Business, Progressives Sue to Kill Ron DeSantis’s Popular Migration Reform AFP/Getty Images 6:49
A business-tied advocacy group, the ACLU, and various progressive advocacy groups have launched a lawsuit campaign against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ss popular, wage-boosting curbs on illegal migration.
DeSantis’s law against illegal migration “goes far beyond the federal scheme, penalizing a wide array of conduct that Congress chose not to prohibit [and] impedes the federal immigration scheme by preventing immigrants from entering Florida,” says the lawsuit by the establishment coalition, which includes the ACLU, the progressive-run Farmworker Association of Florida, and the American Immigration Council.
The council is a spinoff of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. In 2021, it merged with the “New American Economy” advocacy group that was created by two pro-migration media billionaires — Rupert Murdoch who owns Fox, and Michael Bloomberg who owns Bloomberg News.
The council’s merged board includes advocates who work closely with companies that profit from the inflow of migrant consumers and workers, and it tries to shift public opinion to shore up the declining public support for migration. It also earns money by importing J-1 white-collar workers for jobs at various companies.
DeSantis’s new law curbs the transport of migrants into Florida and requires many employers to use the federal E-Verify system to exclude illegal migrants from jobs.
The lawsuit is aimed at the transport curbs, saying DeSantis’s law “unconstitutionally criminalizes the act of transporting a broad category of immigrants into Florida.
Many business groups have denounced DeSantis’s law because it reduces the number of illegals who will work for cheap. For example, the Wall Street Journal reported on July 3:
In downtown Miami, construction cranes are ubiquitous, rising above the fast-growing skyline. At site after site, the story was the same. Workers have fled. Many others are waiting to see what happens.
Outside one construction site, a worker said that he had lost about half his crew. They went to Indiana, he said, where jobs are paying $38 an hour instead of $25, and where they won’t have to look over their shoulders.
The alliance between the cheap-labor business groups and the pro-migration progressives is intended to slow the exit of migrants — regardless of the pocketbook damage to ordinary Americans.
“It is seldom that labor and business are on the same page — but on this one, I think, we have some common ground,” said Jeannie Economos, a manager at the Farmworker Association of Florida, which is the leading plaintiff in the lawsuit.
Correspondingly, DeSantis’s push to expel illegals from Florida is good for ordinary Americans, partly because it reduces the cost of housing and forces U.S. employers to raise wages in Florida.
“Some [employers] have raised wages” for Americans, Economos admitted to Breitbart News.
“Armando Oyola, the owner of Aegis Construction Services , has lost four of roughly 50 workers already due to the bill,” SarasotaMagazine.com reported on June 14:
“A documented worker that’s good will make between $20 to $30 an hour,” he adds. “An undocumented [worker] gets roughly $150 a day for 10-hour days.” But with fewer workers to choose from, Oyola sees raises on the horizon. “Guys who were making $20 are going to want double to compensate for the market,” he says. “Eventually, they’ll get those raises, and it will trickle down to the homebuyer.”
USA Today reported on June 21:
The owner of a Naples construction company, Valdez, who is also from Mexico, stayed home in solidarity with his Hispanic workers who boycotted Florida’s new immigration law.
Since DeSantis signed the immigration bill, Valdez has lost 15 of his best [illegal migrant] workers, who have moved to other states like Illinois and North Carolina.
He used to pay painters $18-$20 an hour. Now, he’s paying $30-$35, which ended up increasing the costs for his work. “I have to adapt,” he said.’
The real-world response matches the predictions of a 2020 report funded by FWD.us, which is an advocacy group for wealthy West Coast investors, including Mark Zuckerberg.
If “existing undocumented workers were to exit the Florida economy in the number anticipated were E-Verify were [sic] to be adopted, the adequate numbers of native workers would not be available at current wage rates,” said the draft report funded by FWD.us.
The breadth of investors who founded and funded FWD.us was hidden from casual visitors to the group’s website in early 2021. But copies exist at the other sites .
Most reporters are framing the Florida dispute as a battle for “migrant rights” — not as a pocketbook fight between employers and employees. In large part, this media skew reflects the economic interest of the investors who fund or own U.S. media companies, and their ability to hire compliant reporters.
But some media outlets are following the money.
Under DeSantis’s law, employers will “have to pay higher wages to documented workers or citizen workers than they would to someone who’s here illegally and was happy to work for these lesser wages,” Sean Snaith, the director of the Institute for Economic Forecast at the University of Central Florida, told ClickOrlando.com.
The migrant inflow has successfully forced down Americans’ wages and also boosted rents and housing prices . The inflow has also pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors and contributed to the rising death rate of poor Americans.
The lethal policy sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.
The population inflow also reduces the political clout of native-born Americans because the population replacement allows elites to divorce themselves from the needs and interests of ordinary Americans and from the growing chaos and poverty of American society.
Mexican President Lopez Obrador: Don’t Vote Republican

Mexico’s president said he would call for all Hispanics to not vote for Republicans, because they are members of a “corrupt, inhumane, and hypocritical” party. The harsh words come as U.S. politicians call for a stronger response to Mexican cartels, particularly after the recent fatal kidnappings of four Americans.
“If they don’t change their attitude and think they are going to use Mexico for their purposes with propaganda, elections, and politicking, we are going to call for [people] to not vote for that party, for being interventionist, inhumane, hypocrite and corrupt,” said Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO).
Lopez Obrador also blamed the U.S. for the fentanyl crisis , claiming Mexico does not produce or consume the deadly drug.
The Mexican president claimed the Republican Party stood silent after U.S. health authorities approved the use of opioids “supposedly for pain relief.”
Lopez Obrador also criticized the gun lobby for funding Republican candidates amid cartel violence. “Eighty percent of the high-powered weapons used by the delinquency in Mexico are sold in the U.S. and they don’t even have a registry of that,” he said. “Even more, some of the legislators of the Republican Party are financed by the companies that produce the weapons.”

Mexican president to US: Fentanyl is your problem
MARK STEVENSON
MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico’s president said Thursday that his country does not produce or consume fentanyl, despite enormous evidence to the contrary.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador appeared to depict the synthetic opioid epidemic largely as a U.S. problem, and said the United States should use family values to fight drug addiction.
His statement came during a visit to Mexico by Liz Sherwood-Randall, the White House homeland security adviser, to discuss the fentanyl crisis. It also comes amid calls by some U.S. Republicans to use the U.S. military to attack drug labs in Mexico.
The Mexican government has acknowledged in the past that fentanyl is produced at labs in Mexico using precursor chemicals imported from China. Fentanyl has been blamed for about 70,000 opioid deaths per year in the United States.
“Here, we do not produce fentanyl, and we do not have consumption of fentanyl,” López Obrador said. “Why don't they (the United States) take care of their problem of social decay?"
He went on to recite a list of reasons why Americans might be turning to fentanyl, including single-parent families, parents who kick grown children out of their houses and people who put elderly relatives in old-age homes “and visit them once a year.”
His statement contrasted sharply with a Thursday tweet from U.S. Ambassador Ken Salazar saying a meeting between Sherwood-Randall and Mexico's attorney general was meant “to enhance security cooperation and fight against the scourge of fentanyl to better protect our two nations.”
There is little debate among U.S. and even Mexican officials that almost all the fentanyl consumed in the United States is produced and processed in Mexico.
In February, the Mexican army announced it seized more than a half million fentanyl pills in what it called the largest synthetic drug lab found to date. The army said the outdoor lab was discovered in Culiacan, the capital of Sinaloa state.
In the same city in 2021, the army raided a lab that it said probably made about 70 million of the blue fentanyl pills every month for the Sinaloa cartel.
“The president is lying,” said Mexican security analyst David Saucedo. “The Mexican cartels, above all the CJNG ( Jalisco New Generation Cartel) and the Sinaloa Cartel have learned to manufacture it.”
“They themselves buy the precursor chemicals, set up laboratories to produce fentanyl and distribute it to cities in the United States and sell it,” Saucedo said. “Little by little they have begun to build a monopoly on fentanyl, because the Mexican cartels are present along the whole chain of production and sales.”
While it is true that fentanyl consumption appears to remain low in Mexico and largely confined to northern border areas, that may be because the Mexican government is so bad at detecting it. A 2019 study in the border city of Tijuana showed that 93% of samples of methamphetamines and heroin there contained some fentanyl.
Saucedo said fentanyl exports to the U.S. are so lucrative for Mexican cartels that they previously had not seen a need to develop a domestic market for the drug.
“It is true that fentanyl consumption in Mexico is marginal, but some mid-level cartels have begun selling it in border cities and in big cities like Leon, Mexico City and Monterrey,” Saucedo said.
On Wednesday, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham held a news conference, saying he wanted “to unleash the fury and might of the U.S. against these cartels."
“The second step that we will be engaging in is give the military the authority to go after these organizations wherever they exist,” Graham said. "Not to invade Mexico. Not to shoot Mexican airplanes down. But to destroy drug labs that are poisoning Americans.”
López Obrador said Mexico would not accept such threats, calling them “an insult to Mexico and a lack of respect for our independence and sovereignty.”
López threatened to start a campaign in the United States asking Mexicans and Hispanics who live there not to vote for Republicans.
“We are going to issue a call not to vote for that party, because they are inhuman and interventionist,” López Obrador said.
Security analyst Alejandro Hope said López Obrador appeared trapped between his own “hugs, not bullets” strategy of not confronting cartels — which plays well among his supporters — and increasing U.S. pressure, especially from Republicans. Portraying himself as the defender of Mexico's sovereignty has been an easy out for López Obrador in the past.
Hope said the Mexican president may not realize how much the issue of declaring Mexican cartels terrorist organizations could become a conservative rallying cry in 2024, just as former President Donald Trump's call for a border wall was in 2016.
“It's the wall, version 2024,” said Hope. “He (López Obrador) believes everybody is as willing to make deals as Trump, but many of these (Republicans) are much more ideological.”
“The problem is that it puts the Biden administration in a terrible position, it puts it between the Republicans' intransigence and López Obrador's intransigence,” Hope said.
Marcelo Ebrard, Mexico's top diplomat, wrote in his Twitter account Thursday that proposals like Graham's would be “catastrophic for bilateral anti-drug cooperation.”
“They (Republicans) know that the fentanyl epidemic did not originate in Mexico, but in the United States,” Ebrard wrote. “They know that more work is being done against fentanyl now than ever.”
Mexicans, both in government and outside it, are clearly afraid of fentanyl use increasing in Mexico. A civic group has launched a campaign of painting walls with the slogan “Mxsinfentanilo” — “Mexico without fentanyl” — and López Obrador has launched a series of anti-drug TV ads.
But once again, López Obrador's government appears to view fentanyl as a U.S. problem.
In the ads launched in November, the Mexican government used videos of homeless people and open-air drug users in Philadelphia’s embattled Kensington neighborhood to try to scare young people away from drugs.

Related: The Washington Post Celebrates Illegal Abortion Pill Distribution

Flier via NYC.gov

The sheer volume of border crossers and illegal aliens staying in shelters has increased the system’s population by more than 110 percent since Adams took office. To afford subsidizing new arrivals, Adams has said New Yorkers will see public services like meals for senior citizens and library hours cut.
Every day, illegal immigration is costing New Yorkers nearly $8 million, and by the middle of next year, Mayor Eric Adams predicts it will have cost more than $4.2 billion.

NAME ONE MEX DRUG CARTEL LORD WHO DID NOT VOTE FOR JOE BIDEN! EVEN ONE!!!
