BIDENOMICS - JOE BIDEN - FOLKS, PUSHING THE BORDER OPEN WIDER AND INVITING THE PLANET TO INVADE IS WORKING! - WAGES ARE DEPRESSED AND THE HOUSING AND HOMELESS CRISIS HAS DOUBLED WHILE I'VE BEEN IN OFFICE!

President Joe Biden’s lax border policies welcomed roughly 250,000 more illegal migrants during July, bumping up the annual immigrant inflow to nearly one migrant for every American birth.

The record-breaking influx included 132,000 people who crossed the border to be registered and released, plus 51,000 migrants who were invited into border stations by the CBP One cellphone app, plus roughly 30,000 who were allowed to fly in from their home countries via the “parole pathway.”

The 250,000 estimate also includes roughly 50,000 so-called “gotaways” who sneak across the border while the border officers are processing the other migrants. These migrants are not deported unless they commit an obvious felony.

The massive inflow of illegal and quasi-legal migrants is far above the 2022 inflow achieved by Biden’s pro-migration border chief Alejandro Mayorkas when the Title 42 legal barrier was formally in operation.

The border inflows add to the annual legal inflow via the nation’s airports of roughly one million immigrants, one million temporary workers, plus a large number of foreigners who use tourist visas to get jobs. The overall inflow of roughly 3.5 million long-term migrants adds up to one legal, illegal, or quasi-legal migrant for each of the roughly 3.6 million Americans born in 2022.

The record-breaking July 2023 influx comes amid summer heat along the border, and after establishment media sites amplified the White House’s claim that they had reduced cross-border migration by almost 70 percent. “The Biden administration on Tuesday took a victory lap, declaring that its immigration plan is ‘working as intended’ nearly a month after a major shift in policy at the nation’s southern border,” Politico reported on June 6.

Establishment media sites downplayed the July numbers. For example, Jeff Bezos’ Washington Post reported, “Families accounted for nearly half of the total 132,652 migrants apprehended in July, compared with less than a third of arrests in June.”

The Biden administration has repeatedly announced it favors a large inflow of migrants, preferably traveling from government-run sites in South America and in Central America. “This administration is taking steps to reduce unlawful entries, deny resources to ruthless smuggling organizations, and streamline access to lawful, safe, and orderly pathways for those seeking humanitarian relief,” an August 17 statement by Mayorkas’s Department of Homeland Security.

The Record Inflow

GOP press releases usually focus on the number of migrants who arrive at the border. This data exclude the 30,000 arrivals via the parole pathway and the roughly 50,000 border-crossing gotaways. This image uses a black line to show the 183,503 migrants who were allowed into the United States under the Title 8 immigration law, as reinterpreted by Mayorkas:

CBO One Pathway

The data also shows how Mayorkas is admitting more illegal migrants via Mayorkas’ “CBP One” cellphone app, which is dubbed a “Fastpass” by GOP critics.  The app is used by migrants — and by cartel agents — to schedule appointments at the official border posts where trucks and cars are checked by the Office of Field Operations. The migrants who use the app are not counted in the monthly reports of border patrol arrests, so allowing Mayorkas to reduce the monthly record of border arrests.

Border Crossers

The data also shows the rising number of migrants who refused to use the CBP One app, and instead walked over the border to get arrested by  U.S. border patrol. They choose to get arrested because they trust Mayorkas will catch and release them to take the jobs and homes needed by Americans. This rising inflow shows that Mayorkas’s deputies lied when they promised to deport migrants who did not use the CBP One app.

Rising Mexican Migration

The data also shows the rising inflow of 54,000 Mexicans in July, up from just 15,000 Mexicans in April. The expanding pathway from Mexico’s stable economy reflects the White House’s border security deal with Mexico’s president. The deal allows more Mexicans to migrate into U.S. jobs in exchange for a Mexican government promise to prevent uncontrolled surges of migrants that might be broadcast on the evening news.

Women and Children

The data also show the rising numbers of mothers and children who are trying to follow their husbands and fathers into American communities. The fathers either sneaked across the border, were let in under various loopholes, or used the Flores border loophole by bringing one of their children.

This category of family migrants is expected to rise because Mayorkas already has roughly 2..5 million migrant men in the United States, including more than 1 million “gotaways.” This category of family migrants is expected expect to help spike housing costs, crowd the K-12 classrooms needed by Americans’ kids, and accelerate welfare spending via government-funded charities.

The overall result is a record inflow of economic migrants for jobs and homes, regardless of the administration’s PR claims that it is bringing order to the border.

The huge inflow predictably displaces many Americans, forces down wages, pushes up housing prices, and shifts investment and resources away from the heartland states over to the coasts.

The flood across the Mexican border is just part of Biden’s easy-migration policy. The policy is intended to help foreign migrants get into the United States, provide investors with more employees, renters, and consumers, and also provide Democrat-run government agencies with more clients and potential voters. The policy also extracts human resources from poor nations — including dictatorships — to inflate values on Wall Street.

Extraction Migration

The federal government has long operated an unpopular economic policy of extraction migration. This colonialism-like policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries, reduces beneficial trade, and uses the imported workers, renters, and consumers to grow Wall Street and the economy.

The migrant inflow has successfully forced down Americans’ wages and also boosted rents and housing prices. The inflow has also pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors and contributed to the rising death rate of poor Americans.

The lethal policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.

The population inflow also reduces the political clout of native-born Americans, because the population replacement allows elites and the establishment to divorce themselves from the needs and interests of ordinary Americans.

In many speeches, border chief Alejandro Mayorkas says he is building a mass migration system to deliver workers to wealthy employers and investors and “equity” to poor foreigners. The nation’s border laws are subordinate to elite opinion about “the values of our country” Mayorkas claims.

Migration — and especially, labor migration — is unpopular among swing voters. A 54 percent majority of Americans say Biden is allowing a southern border invasion, according to an August 2022 poll commissioned by the left-of-center National Public Radio (NPR). The 54 percent “invasion” majority included 76 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats.

Poll: Majority of New York Independents Say Migration Is a ‘Burden’

A majority of political independents in New York say international migration has been a burden to the state over the last 20 years, according to a New York Times and Siena College poll.

Fifty-one percent of independent voters and 67 percent of Republican voters said immigration was a burden when they were asked, “Looking back over the past 20 years or so, do you think that migrants resettling in New York has been more of a benefit or more of a burden to the state?”

Thirty-three percent of Democrats also described immigration as a burden.

The poll of 803 registered voters was conducted from August 13-16 amid the growing furor over the flood of President Joe Biden’s wage-cutting, rent-spiking migrants into New York City’s housing, jobs, and schools.

Fifty-four percent of respondents — and 52 percent of independents — said Biden’s migration policy creates a “very serious” problem.

SIENA RESEARCH INSTITUTE

“New Yorkers – including huge majorities of Democrats, Republicans, independents, upstaters and downstaters – overwhelmingly say that the recent influx of migrants to New York is a serious problem for the state,” said Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg. He added:

However, that’s where partisan agreement ends. A plurality of Democrats says that migrants resettling in New York over the last two decades has been a benefit. But, a majority of independents and two-thirds of Republicans say that migrant resettlement has been a burden to the state.

Breitbart News has covered the rising opposition to migration in New York, even as pro-migration advocates insist that cheap-labor migration has been the secret to New York’s prosperity for decades. Since 1965, when Congress re-started migration, the flood of low-wage migrants has allowed city elites to gain wealth and political power over the city’s much-diminished middle class and the growing number of homelessdiscarded Americans.

However, the New York GOP may ignore the political opportunity created by the pocketbook damage from Biden’s migration wave.

Many of the GOP’s donors in New York are real estate investors, landlords, or retailers who profit from any increased inflow of poor migrants. For example, Rep. Michael Taylor (R-NY) has backed proposals for amnesty and more migration despite the pocketbook damage done by migration to his constituents.

The Siena poll echoes the national turn against the federal government’s economic policy of easy migration. That policy has long been protected by the elite narrative that the United States is a claimed “Nation of Immigrants.”

According to a June 3-6 YouGov poll of 1,500 citizens, a 36 percent plurality of all respondents said immigration — legal and illegal — makes the country “worse off.”

The YouGov poll asked, “In general, do you think immigration makes the U.S. better off or worse off?” Just 31 percent said immigration makes the nation “better off.” Registered voters split 37 percent worse off and 35 percent better off.

Similarly, in August 2022, 54 percent of Americans told National Public Radio that Biden’s migration is an “invasion.” The 54 percent “invasion” majority includes 76 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats.

Just 19 percent of all respondents — or one in five — rejected the “invasion.”

NPR, Morning Consult: Even with Inflation Rate Slowing, Lowest Earners ‘Falling Behind’ and ‘Less Financially Secure’

On Tuesday’s edition of NPR’s “Marketplace” podcast, host Kai Ryssdal, Correspondent Mitchell Hartman, and Morning Consult Senior Economist Kayla Bruun stated that despite the rate of inflation easing, low-income earners “are still playing economic catch-up and coming from way behind to do it.” And are “falling behind” and “now less financially secure.”

Ryssdal said, [relevant remarks begin around 16:40] “During the distressing peak of those rising prices, overall real wages lagged, and they lagged a lot. Even though paychecks were going up, prices were going up more. This spring though, that trend turned around, and average hourly earnings starting outpacing the Consumer Price Index. That is welcome news for low-income Americans in particular, who are most affected by inflation, but…they are still playing economic catch-up and coming from way behind to do it.”

Hartman then did a report on how the finances of low-income families have deteriorated “in the face of inflation, even as price increases have started to moderate.” Hartman added that “with inflation now falling, middle and upper-income consumers are spending more, worrying less about high prices, and looking for fewer discounts. But this is not true of consumers at the bottom.”

He then played a clip of Bruun stating, “It’s really that lowest income group that seems to be falling behind.” She also stated, “It’s about the duration of living with high prices, so even as inflation slows, they’re still playing catch-up. They’ve worked their way through their savings, they’re increasingly likely to walk away from purchases.”

Hartman then stated, “And even though post-pandemic wage gains have been relatively strong, especially in lower-wage service jobs, these folks are now less financially secure. For example, says Bruun, when these households are faced with an emergency household expense –” he then played a clip of Bruun saying, “The lowest income group was least likely to say they’d be able to cover it with cash, 47% said that they might not be able to pay some of their other bills if they face a $400 expense, which is pretty striking, I think.”

CBS: Now that Migrant Crisis ‘in These Big Cities the Way that It Is, It’s Time to Pay Attention’ — There’s Resource ‘Drain’

On Tuesday’s broadcast of “CBS Mornings,” CBS News National Correspondent Jericka Duncan stated that we’ve been talking about the problems of dealing with migrants in the U.S. for “decades upon decades” but now that the issue “is in these big cities the way that it is, it’s time to pay attention.”

After a report on how New York City is dealing with its surge of migrants, Duncan said, “So many issues at stake. Obviously, as we were speaking [about] during the package, the right to work. And what the mayor was saying is there [are] 12,000 jobs right now that he’s hoping people would apply for in the city, and that is the migrants contributing to the economy, as opposed to this long process where it takes forever to get the work permit. I mean, listen, decades upon decades we’ve been talking about it, but now that it is in these big cities the way that it is, it’s time to pay attention.”

Co-host Tony Dokoupil added, “The only solution here is clearly a federal one. Federal law needs to be changed so people can work, or you need to speed up the asylum process so judges can review cases. But again, that’s a federal fix. It’s multi-year that they’re here and they can’t work, it’s going to be a big drain on the resources.”

Adams: Migrant Influx Is ‘Greatest’ ‘Humanitarian Crisis the City Has Ever Witnessed’

During a portion of an interview with CBS News aired on Tuesday’s broadcast of “CBS Mornings,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) stated that the city opening up housing for migrants on Randall’s Island “is not a sign of progress” on how the city is handling the influx of migrants into the city, but is a sign that the surge of migrants into New York City is “the greatest — I believe — humanitarian crisis the city has ever witnessed.”

CBS News National Correspondent Jericka Duncan said, “Since spring of last year, New York City officials say they’ve provided shelter and care for over 100,000 asylum seekers. On Randall’s Island is where you’ll find the latest center to open, with rows of cots, a place to shower, and a dining area. Mayor Eric Adams says it’s expected to house up to 3,000 people.”

Duncan then played a clip where she asked Adams, “Is this a sign of progress, or does this speak to the humanitarian crisis your city is facing?”

Adams responded, “This is not a sign of progress. This is a sign of a crisis, the greatest — I believe — humanitarian crisis the city has ever witnessed.”

THERE IS NO GREATER THREAT TO AMERICA THAN JOE BIDEN!

REPORT: Biden Admin Welds Arizona Border Wall Gates Open

A media report revealed that Biden administration officials welded border wall gates open near Lukeville, Arizona. The open gates allow migrants to freely walk through the border wall and into the Arizona desert.

Border Patrol officials admitted responsibility for a decision to weld open flood gates in sections of border wall near Lukeville, the New York Post reported. The admission reportedly came after the agency attempted to blame other federal agencies for the action that allows thousands of migrants to freely cross into what is now the nation’s busiest border sector.

The Tucson Sector led the nation in migrant apprehensions in July. The apprehension of nearly 40,000 migrants represents an increase of nearly 136 percent over July 2022. The sector is in second place in year-to-date apprehensions following the arrest of nearly 274,000 migrants — an increase of 59 percent over the same period last year, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports.

“We thought the agents were going to say something to us,” an Ecuadorian migrant told the Post. “But we just got in.”

A Cuban migrant added, “It was so easy to get into the United States. Nothing like our trip through Mexico. That part was difficult. I thought there was going to be more security.”

RELATED ARTICLES:

The gates were installed in the border wall construction to allow monsoon-season floodwaters and migratory animals to pass through.

“High water flow combined with excessive sediment and debris buildup can stress or comprise the design integrity of the barrier,” CBP officials told the Post.

However, National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told the New York newspaper that the Mexican cartel human smuggling intelligence apparatus quickly discovers these gaps in the wall and exploits them for profit.

“Because the cartels are constantly surveilling what we do, the moment something gets left open, it gets exploited,” Judd explained. “In this particular case, it exploded almost immediately, which shows you how adept the criminal cartels are at exploiting any weakness at any time that we show them.”

Judd added that the gates “should never open up.”

The New York Post article contains multiple photographs of the welded-open gates and migrants crossing through at will. One photo shows a steel spike in the ground welded to the gate to keep it open.

In June, Tucson Sector agents apprehended an average of 821 migrants daily. In July, that number increased to approximately 1,200 migrants per day. During the first two weeks of August, unofficial Border Patrol numbers obtained by Breitbart Texas show a continued increase to 1,483 migrant apprehensions per day.

Anybody notice what went on at the Darien Gap this weekend?

A picture is worth a thousand words, so let's cut to the chase:

Google Translate:

Images from this weekend in the Darien Jungle. A hostile route to flee from the chavista hell of Venezuela to the US. Have you ever wondered why you haven't seen NOT A SINGLE DOCUMENTARY about the largest human exodus of the current century (7.1 million people)?

So contrary to Joe Biden's claim that the border surge is ended and he's got the crisis all under control, it appears that more Venezuelans and migrants of other nationalities are lining up to make their way into the U.S.

It's an astonishing spectacle, given that the Darien Gap is probably the most dangerous land route on the planet, or at least ones. Loaded with snakes, jaguars, poisonous frogs, pirates, smugglers, kidnappers, thorns, toxics and quicksand, anyone who'd want to cross through that place is obviously out of their minds.

But they look sane enough. What's incentivizing them to undertake this dangerous journey through the swamps, mud and jungles is the knowledge that if they can make it to the U.S. through its southern border, they will be permitted to stay.

And based on what's known now, they certainly are calling it right.

Today's New York Post shows just one of several reasons why this is the case, with its front-page tweet:

That's an astonishing story, too. Border Patrol agents, acting on orders from their superiors, have literally welded the gates of the border open, on the laughable premise that certain endangered antelope need to cross over to the other side as part of their natural habitat. That has given the migrants a free land-based crossing near Tucson with none of the rigors of crossing the Rio Grande. The Post notes that the migrants discovered the crossing very quickly, and Border Patrol sources explained that this was because the cartels control the border and surveil its activity closely in order to take advantage of vulnerabilities. This was a freebie for them, and undoubtedly a profitable one, given that the observed migrants crossing in appeared to be well-heeled tourists from places like China and India, who had thousands of dollars to pay in "crossing fees" to cartels. Once in, all they need to do is hop on to transport to New York, Los Angeles, Chicago or other cities of their choice and be offered free housing, food, education and medical care from the receiving sanctuary cities. Arizona had been offering that service and may still be doing it, and the federally financed NGOs have reportedly done so, too. The state of Texas certainly does. Which is a pretty good deal for migrants whether rich or poor, no matter where they hail from.

The migrants pictured in the original tweet are from Venezuela, which is a socialist regime that has followed the Cuba model through mass impoverishment in the name of "equality." They may take that open border route if they can pay the cartels, or other smuggling routes that are considerably rougher. But once in, they won't be sent back and that's all they're thinking of.

The Biden administration has crowed a lot about getting the border under control through its CBPOne app, which requires migrants to file their asylum claims from outside the U.S. through the app and get waved through, or sometimes actually bussed in from Central America courtesy of the federal government. There have been 30,000 slots allocated through this system with each requiring a sponsor in the U.S., who could be an unvetted illegal immigrant already present in the U.S. For those without sponsors, though, that's read as an incentive to come on in, too, because the border will be less crowded with them.

Which may explain why we are seeing what we are seeing at the Darien Gap -- a border surge importing the poverty and socialism of the third world even more intensely than what we have seen in the recent past. Far from solving the border crisis, it appears to be intensifying.

For the Biden administration, the only priority so far has been to keep the Fox News cameras away from the spectacle. And make a few laughable claims that illegal border crossers will be "subject to U.S. immigratiom law." But this hasn't stopped blue cities, which are left holding the bag and the bill, from noticing.

Right now, there seems to be open warfare between the blue city mayors and the Biden administration, around who is to pay for these migrants. Based on the blue cities' own bad policies, that includes paying for continuously rising demands for free food and housing which helps incentivize the surge. In New York City alone, that's 60,000 people, which is a lot of money to be spent on cleaning up after Hugo Chavez's disaster in Venezuela that could be spent on other things. Ten thousand a month are reportedly coming in. Two million illegal migrants have been allowed in on Joe Biden's watch as Biden employs catch and release and now literally leaves the gate wide open. That doesn't include 600,000 gotaways, who are often in the criminal element that must evade detection from the Border Patrol.

The migrants are massing at Darien and flying into Mexico from other places and nobody seems to know how to stop this. Enforcing the laws and shutting the border gates might do it, but to Biden, that's a bridge to far -- he can't do that any more than blue cities can end their free rides for incoming migrants -- which means the problem will only get worse.

This explains why even Democrats among the voting base have come to the conclusion that mass unchecked immigration is a major problem now. That says something.
