Woman Who Was Featured in Vogue Tells Jews ‘We Will Drink Your Blood and Eat Your Skull’
As is by now abundantly clear from the pro-Hamas rallies we have seen all over, the left loves jihadis, and this love is longstanding. Today’s global crisis, however, is bringing a new clarity to what exactly the left has been supporting, and it isn’t really “diversity” and “inclusion,” much less “tolerance” or “peace.” Vogue cover model Ahed Tamimi is a chilling case in point.
Back in October 2018, Vogue Arabia, the Dubai-based Arab edition of the venerable fashion magazine, published a piece ostensibly written by Ahed Tamimi, a Palestinian teenager who was seventeen years old at the time: “Occupied Childhood: Ahed Tamimi Pens a Heartfelt Letter About Life in and After Prison.” The editor’s note was worshipful: “In a heartfelt letter, 17-year-old Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi tells the story of her arrest and eight months in an Israeli prison – and the struggles she faces as a symbol of resistance.”
Tamimi herself, or her ghostwriter, sounded a plaintive note about how wonderful her life would be if it weren’t for those terrible Israelis: “I want to be a regular 17-year-old. I like clothes, I like makeup.” Accompanying the article is a stylishly black-and-white glamor shot of Tamimi, her hair blowing in the wind; she is a bit too chunky to be a classic model, but hey, these are the days of “body positivity.” The poor victim continued, “I get up in the morning, check my Instagram, have breakfast, and walk in the hills around the village. Sometimes I go to Ramallah with friends to go bowling, eat ice cream, and go to restaurants – but I am not a normal teenager. Both my parents have been in jail, as have I, and now my eldest brother, Waed, is imprisoned too.”
Tamimi doesn’t mention it, but her father was convicted in 2012 of exhorting young people to throw stones at Israeli troops. Her brother was convicted in August 2018, two months before his sister became a Vogue heroine, of actually throwing stones at Israeli troops. Ahed doesn’t mention the most famous member of her family, her aunt Ahlam Tamimi, who helped murder sixteen Israeli civilians at the Sbarro pizza parlor in Jerusalem on Aug. 9, 2001. Ahlam received multiple life sentences from an Israeli court for her role in that massacre, but was freed in 2011 as part of the prisoner exchange for an Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit. She then went to Jordan, where she became a media personality and a national hero. Jordan has refused all extradition requests from the United States, where she is on the FBI Most Wanted list because Americans were among those killed in her attack.
In Vogue, however, Ahed Tamimi did her best to portray herself as just a regular teenage girl, albeit one who happened to be the victim of a cruel military machine: “If I were permitted to be a regular teenager living in a normal country, I would play sports. I wanted to become a football player but I don’t play here because there is no time. Instead, I have been involved in demonstrations and confrontations with the Israeli army since I was a child. Many criticize that, but why not criticize the army who places itself in front of children? Under the occupation, everything is a crime. People should not accuse us; it is the occupation that is wrong.”
There isn’t actually any occupation, but Ahed Tamimi’s ardor for the cause remains undimmed. Five years after her Vogue glamor shot, she published this message in Hebrew and Arabic on her Instagram page: “Our message to the settlers: (We) are waiting for you in all the cities of the West Bank, from Hebron to Jenin. We will slaughter you and you will say that what Hitler did to you was a joke. We will drink your blood and eat your skull. Come on, we’re waiting for you.”
This is the kind of person the left celebrates, and why not? Lenin said it: “You have to break eggs in order to make an omelet,” and Islamic jihadis in Gaza and all over the world couldn’t agree more. It is now undeniable that the left is not, contrary to its own claims, the party of love, tolerance, inclusion, and all that, but of drinking blood and eating skulls. The question is not why Vogue Arabia ever featured a bloodthirsty savage such as Ahed Tamimi, but why the other editions of Vogue haven’t lionized her as well. They’ll get around to it in due time.
Every day seems to bring fresh evidence of just how savage and demonic Hamas really is. On Friday, video surfaced of IDF soldiers entering the Nova music festival in southern Israel in the aftermath of Hamas’ massacre there. Be warned: the video shows the dead bodies of numerous young Israelis whom the jihadis murdered in their pursuit of another genocide of the Jewish people. As such evidence of Hamas’ inhumanity comes to light, however, their motivations remain obscure to most people. Even now, nearly a quarter-century after 9/11, people in the West have trouble believing that someone could ruthlessly murder people and think he is serving the supreme being. And so studying the testimony of another jihadi can be illuminating.
Back in 2019, a Palestinian Muslim named Arafat Irafaiya raped and murdered a nineteen-year-old Israeli girl named Ori Ansbacher. The murder was so brutal that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu specifically noted its “shocking brutality.” Irafaiya emphasized that he had raped and murdered Ori Ansbacher because she was Jewish; as if to emphasize the ideology that had spurred such bloodlust, Irafaiya was captured in a mosque.
Irafaiya afterward made statements to investigators that are newly relevant as illustrative of the jihadi mindset. In an upbeat mood, Irafaiya exulted: “I did everything an Arab dreams of.” He even said that raping and murdering Ori Ansbacher was “the best and most important thing I did in my life.”
The Western mind reels. How could this blood-curdling act of hatred be the best and most important thing he ever did in his life? This is understandable only from an Islamic perspective. An Islamic tradition depicts a man approaching Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, and asking him: “Instruct me as to such a deed as equals jihad (in reward).” Muhammad replies, “I do not find such a deed.” (Sahih Bukhari 4.56.2785) Arafat Irafaiya no doubt considers his brutalization and killing of Ori Ansbacher to be an act of jihad, and so he regards it with the deep satisfaction of the pious when they know they have done something that pleases their god.
Irafaiya was not just satisfied; he was positively bubbling with joy. The Hebrew-language Kakolhayehudi reported that “during his interrogations, while bursting with laughter, Arpaia described to his investigators the horror he committed while not being afraid for a moment to proudly present his thoughts about the murder.” Bursting with laughter: Irafaiya is now secure in the knowledge that having killed a Jew, one of the people who are “the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe” (Qur’an 5:82), he has done something that is outstanding in Allah’s sight, and will receive his reward.
It is also likely that Irafaiya believes that by killing Jews, he can help to hasten the consummation of all things: “Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger as saying: ‘The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.’” (Sahih Muslim 2922)
Irafaiya said happily: “The murder is the best and most important thing I’ve done in my life. If she had stayed alive, it would have meant that I failed in what I planned and failed in my mission. It was the best feeling I’ve felt in my life.” He had planned his murder carefully, although he did short in his goal of killing many Jews, not just one: “I planned to enter Jerusalem and murder Jews. I wanted to kill several Jews and not one, but when I was there I saw that Allah had sent me the Jewish woman and I understood that I had to kill her. This was the fate to which Allah had summoned me.”
Irafaiya also revealed that he had bought a kippah so as to disguise himself as a Jew. According to another hadith, Muhammad said, “War is deceit.” (Bukhari 4.52.268). “I planned to use it to carry out an attack in Jerusalem. I planned to enter some place, put on the kippah so that they would think I was Jewish and stab as many Jews as possible in order to kill them. If I hadn’t met a girl on the way I would have entered Jerusalem to carry out the attack and murder Jews.” Even after he murdered Ori, he hoped to kill more people: “After I murdered her, I stayed near the body for some time. I was waiting for more people, more Jews, to come looking for the murdered woman, in order to surprise them and kill them. If I had died during the attempt to kill more Jews, for me it is a blessed thing because I would have died as a martyr.”
It cannot be emphasized enough that when these people rape and kill, they think they’re doing something glorious that will earn them blessings and rewards from Allah. Non-Muslims generally persist in refusing to understand this, or to deal with it in any adequate way, and keep thinking that Israeli concessions will solve the problem. That path has been tried and failed. It is time now to face reality.

Both are national socialists, both have embraced the totalitarian oppressors of their respective peoples and elected them whenever they were given the chance. Answer: The main difference is that Hitler hid the “Final Solution” – the extermination of the Jews – because he feared that Germany’s citizens were too civilized to embrace such an inhuman and evil cause. By contrast every Palestinian leader has stated their intentions clearly, written them in their covenants and visions of a Palestine without Jews, boasted of their massacres of innocents down to the cradle, and even shouted them from the rooftops.
Why is this so? German Nazis were pagans. The genocidal goals of the Palestinian Nazis are religious in origin, emanating from the mouth of the prophet Mohammed himself. The head of Hezbollah has proclaimed the Muslim war against the Jews a “Holy War.” The call to murder the Jews – “every last one” – and to behead them as infidels, is part of the sacred texts of Islam. The Hamas Slogans “Gas the Jews” and “Finish the job that Hitler started” are just tributes to a secular monster who shared their evil goal.
For decades hundreds of American campuses have been targeted by university-supported and subsidized student groups that function much like the Hitler Youth. The most prominent among them is the Muslim Students Association, created by the Muslim Brotherhood, which is seconded by the more activist Brotherhood creation, Students for Justice in Palestine. Some 20 years ago, on a speaking visit to the University of Wisconsin, I was greeted by a poster created by the MSA caricaturing me as a Nazi with a hook nose standing in a garbage can. The cartoon reminiscent of the Nazi caricatures of Jews can still be viewed on the Internet today.
Students for Justice in Palestine, which turns a blind eye to the murder of gays by the Hamas dictatorship in Gaza, was created by a Berkeley professor and Muslim Brotherhood star, Hatem Bazian, who has notoriously called for a terrorist Intifada in America while retaining his professorship. Several presidents of the Muslim Students Association have gone on to the Middle East to become terrorist leaders in Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan, Libya, and Saudi Arabia.
Intimidation of Jewish students, harassment of anti-terrorist speakers, support for the terrorist-sponsored boycott of Israel movement, and the relentless spreading of Hamas propaganda lies is the mission of SJP and its leftist campus allies. These lies include the fiction that Israel – whose inhabitants are actually the indigenous people of the region – “occupies” a square inch of Palestinian land. Israel was carved by the UN out of the ruins of the Ottoman Empire. The Turks who occupied and ruled the area for 400 years prior to the creation of Israel in 1948 are not Arabs let alone Palestinians. The fake national identity “Palestinian” was not invented until 16 and 19 years after the creation of the Jewish state. Until that time “Palestine” was the name of a geographical region like “New England.” The Palestinian identity was created specifically to justify the destruction of the Jewish state and the extermination of its Jews.
Other lies spread by the campus Nazis include the preposterous claim that Israel is an apartheid state. In reality, it is the only state in the Middle East that is not an apartheid state. If a subject of the Palestinian dictatorship on the West Bank sells land to a Jew, for example, the official penalty is death.
In the war between barbarism and civilization, the civilized are often inclined to present the enemy as not as a bad as he seems. The President of Israel recently claimed “The Hamas attack does not represent Islam.” a statement reminiscent of George Bush’s claim that the 9/11 attackers were Muslim imposters. Robert Spencer, the leading expert on Islamic jihad, had this conversation-ending response to the Israeli president’s remark: “Gee, that’s swell. Where are the Muslim leaders saying it?

I’ve never been on Team Musk. The new free Twitter is a hype machine that’s mostly smoke and mirrors. It favors certain famous users who talk about how free they feel while the rules haven’t actually changed for the vast majority.
And speaking of… I’ve now earned yet another badge of censored honor.
It’s not my first rodeo and I have not deleted this entirely accurate description of Islamic history.

Hamas Wants a Ceasefire In Which It Keeps Attacking Israel
When Hamas attacked on a Jewish holiday on Oct 7, it did so under the false flag of a ceasefire. Much as it had done before. But the streets are full of Hamas supporters and their leftist allies clamoring for a “ceasefire”.
What is the Hamas definition of a ceasefire?
Pressed by NBC News to explain Hamas’ conflicting calls for a cease-fire while also pledging to keep attacking Israel, Hamad replied: “What do you want us to do? To stop?”
That’s Ghazi Hamad, a Hamas terror leader who has been trotted out to do interviews despite his unfortunate tendency to keep saying what he actually means.
“Israel is a country that has no place on our land,” Hamas official Ghazi Hamad told Lebanese news outlet LBCI news this week, according to a report and translation from the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) released on Wednesday.
“We must remove that country,” he continued.
“We must teach Israel a lesson, and we will do this again and again. The Al-Aqsa Flood is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth. Because we have the determination…to fight.”
“Nobody should blame us. On October 7, October 10, October one million – everything we do is justified.”
That’s from an Arab language interview. On the BBC, Hamad just walked out when asked about massacring civilians.
During the interview, Hamad reiterated claims made starting a few days after the massacre that Hamas did not intend to kill any civilians during its assault.
When the interviewer stressed that many civilians were killed and asked if Hamad believed that Hamas’s murder of civilians in their beds was justified, Hamad ripped off his microphone and responded “I want to stop this interview” before storming out.
The BBC and NBC News’ Matt Bradley is about as friendly of an English language forum as Hamas could get. Bradley’s Twitter feed consists of uncritical Hamas propaganda from Gaza and from MSNBC.
But that is what a ceasefire means. It means Israel stops attacking Hamas, the Islamic terror group recovers and then launches the next attack.
Hamad has already said that the terror group intends to continue carrying out more attacks like October 7th.
Even Bernie Sanders can’t rationally defend ceasefire proposals.
Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders said Sunday he doesn’t know that a ceasefire is possible in the Israel-Hamas war with “an organization like Hamas” involved.
“I don’t know how you can have a ceasefire, (a) permanent ceasefire, with an organization like Hamas, which is dedicated to turmoil and chaos and destroying the state of Israel,” Sanders told CNN’s Dana Bash on “State of the Union” Sunday.
There’s no serious argument that a ceasefire is a viable option. The only point of a ceasefire is to protect Hamas.

Obama: ‘All of Us Are Complicit to Some Degree’ in ‘Occupation,’ Hamas Terror
Obama told his former staffers on the Pod Save America Saturday that “all of us are complicit to some degree” in the violence in Gaza, as he appeared to describe a moral equivalence between Hamas murdering Israelis and the Israeli “occupation” of Gaza.
Gaza has not been “occupied” by Israel since 2005, when Israel withdrew all of its soldiers and civilians in a “disengagement” that aimed to reduce violence in the region. Hamas responded by launching thousands of rockets at Israel and starting several wars.
Obama’s remarks, as published by the podcast, are as follows:
If there’s any chance of us being able to act constructively, to do something, it will require an admission of complexity. And maintaining, what on the surface may seem contradictory ideas — that what Hamas did was horrific, and there’s no justification for it; and what is also true is that the occupation [sic] and what’s happening to Palestinians is unbearable. [Applause] And what is also true is that there is a history of the Jewish people that may be dismissed, unless your grandparents, or your great-grandparents, or your uncle or your aunt tell you stories about the madness of antisemitism. And what is true is that there are people right now who are dying who have nothing to do with what Hamas did. And what is true, right — I mean, we can go on for a while. And the problem with the social media, and trying to — TikTok activism, and trying to debate this, on that, is you can’t speak the truth. You can pretend to speak the truth. You can speak one side of the truth, and in some cases you can try to maintain you moral innocence, but that won’t solve the problem. And so if you want to solve the problem, you have to take in the whole truth, and you then have to admit nobody’s hands are clean, that all of us are complicit to some degree. I look at this, and I think back, “What could I have done during my presidency to move this forward — as hard as I tried, and I’ve got the scars to prove it. But there’s a part of me that’s still saying, well, “Was there something else I could have done?” That’s the conversation we should be having. Not just looking backwards, but looking forward. And that can’t happen if we are confining ourselves to our outrage. I would rather see you out there talking to people, including people who you disagree with. If you genuinely want to change thin, then you’ve got to figure out how to speak to somebody on the other side, and listen to them, and understand what they are talking about, and not dismiss it. Because you can’t save that child without their help. Not in this situation.
Obama’s approach matches his posture toward the Middle East throughout his presidency. He creates a false moral equivalence between the deliberate murder of 1,400 people in Israel, with extreme brutality, with an “occupation” that does not exist in Gaza and that exists in the West Bank only because the Palestinian Authority refuses to agree to peace with Israel.
He adopts a post-modern approach that insists there is not one truth, but many truths, which has the effect of minimizing the evil of genocidal violence, as practiced by Hamas, into merely one perspective among many.
Obama did the same, notoriously, in 2015, when he reacted to the violence of the so-called “Islamic State,” which had published a video of a Jordanian pilot being burned alive inside a cage, by arguing that medieval Christians had been just as violent during the Crusades. It was that dismissive approach, critics argued, that allowed ISIS to grow on Obama’s watch into a malevolent and tyrannical terrorist regime, and a threat in the West as well.
While Obama encourages his left-wing audience to talk to those who disagree with them, it is noteworthy that they applaud his remarks about the “occupation” and not his condemnation of Hamas’s murders.
The former president claims to have wondered whether there was something more he could have done. During his presidency, he adopted a hostile posture toward Israel that caused Palestinians to dig in and refuse to negotiate; he reached a nuclear deal with Iran that gave the regime billions of dollars to spend on terrorist proxies; and he allowed the United Nations to declare the Jewish presence in Jerusalem illegal.
In postmodern fashion, he also claimed in 2013 that it was not “fair” that Palestinians did not have a state of their own — ignoring that they had attacked Israel rather than building their own state when the land was partitioned by the United Nations.
Last month, in the wake of the October 7 terror attacks, Obama said that Israel must “dismantle” Hamas — and he has spent the last several weeks backtracking, in the face of anti-Israel (and antisemitic) activism on the “progressive” left.

Republican Jewish Coalition to Obama: You Are ‘Complicit in the Death and Suffering … in Israel and in Gaza’
The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) issued a blistering response Saturday night to former President Barack Obama’s attempt to claim a moral equivalence between Hamas terror and Israeli “occupation,” saying Obama was “complicit” in terror and war.
As Breitbart News reported, Obama told the Pod Save America podcast — which is run by his own former staffers — that America was “complicit” in the suffering in Israel and Gaza:
If there’s any chance of us being able to act constructively, to do something, it will require an admission of complexity. And maintaining, what on the surface may seem contradictory ideas — that what Hamas did was horrific, and there’s no justification for it; and what is also true is that the occupation [sic] and what’s happening to Palestinians is unbearable. [Applause]
…
And so if you want to solve the problem, you have to take in the whole truth, and you then have to admit nobody’s hands are clean, that all of us are complicit to some degree.
In response, the RJC said:
At a time when morality, international law, and the welfare of our chief ally in the Middle East all demand that we stand with Israel, full stop, Barack Obama says it’s complicated. It’s not.
Hamas attacks civilians; Hamas takes hostages; Hamas uses Gazans as human shields; Hamas steals humanitarian supplies; Hamas builds terrorism tunnels instead of bomb shelters, or schools, or houses. Hamas is to blame for the current war. The US should be fully behind Israel as it seeks to end Hamas’s capability to harm Israelis and Gazans alike.
But instead, when Israel faces a barbaric attack from Hamas, Obama blames Israel.
It is Barack Obama who is complicit in the death and suffering over the last month in Israel and in Gaza. His policies and those of President Joe Biden put billions of dollars into Iranian coffers, money used to fund and train Hamas and other terrorist groups whose stated goals are the destruction of Israel and the annihilation of Jews.
Obama’s attempt to dilute his own culpability in this situation doesn’t change the facts.
Last weekend, every Republican candidate for the presidency spoke at the RJC annual leadership summit in Las Vegas, Nevada.

WATCH: IDF Identifies Hamas Rocket Launchers Near Children’s Playgrounds, Pools
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Sunday that it had discovered Hamas rocket launchers near sensitive sites, including playgrounds, as IDF soldiers penetrated deeper into Northern Gaza.
In a statement, the IDF said:
During fighting in the Gaza Strip, IDF soldiers are exposing how the Hamas terror organization systematically uses civilian facilities for its terror activity. IDF soldiers located rocket launchers near a children’s swimming pool, as well as launch pits and rocket launchers in an old children’s playground in the Gaza Strip. This is further proof of Hamas’ deliberate use of civilian infrastructure and civilians – including children – as human shields for its military operations.
The IDF released video footage and photos of the rocket launch sites:
Israel and independent observers have long maintained that Hamas uses Palestinian civilians, including children, as human shields. Hamas fires rockets at Israeli civilians from areas that would be difficult for Israel to fire upon — and that, if Israel did counter-attack, would trigger international condemnation.
The IDF has released such photos before, taken from the air. The ground invasion of Gaza is allowing the IDF a firsthand, up-close look at the rocket launch sites that have terrorized Israel for two decades.

IDF Reveals Evidence of Hamas Abuse of Palestinian Civilians, Hospitals in Gaza
Real Admiral Daniel Hagari of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told reporters in a briefing Sunday that Israel trying to protect civilians in the war but that the Palestinian terror group Hamas was trying to stop civilians from evacuating, and operating from hospitals.
Hagari said that Israel had “prioritized evacuation efforts over other missions.” He said that the Israel Air Force dropped over 1.5 million flyers warning Palestinians to evacuate the northern Gaza Strip, which is where Hamas’s strongholds are located, and to move south, beyond the Wadi Gaza wetlands, for their own safety. He added that Israel had made 20,000 personal telephone calls to civilian residents of Gaza, telling them to evacuate the area.
Hagari showed videos of flyers being dropped, and played audio of warnings in Arabic that had been broadcast to residents.
“Hamas is weak without human shields,” Hagari said. That was why “Hamas is actively stopping civilians from moving to a safer area.
He showed aerial photos of a Hamas roadblock that, he said, had been set up to stop Palestinian civilians from leaving the Jabaliya refugee camp.
In addition, Hagari said, Hamas continued to use hospitals for military purposes. He noted that Israel had previously exposed Hamas’s abuse of the Al Shifa hospital. He then went on to describe Hamas activities at other hospitals.
Hagari played video of IDF soldiers exposing a Hamas tunnel opening next to the Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Hospital, also known as the Qatari hospital, named after the country that funded it. He also said that Hamas terrorists had shot at the IDF from within the hospital, and played a video showing them doing so.
Next, Hagari showed images of another hospital, the Indonesia Hospital, showing the construction of Hamas tunnels underground, and aerial photos showing evidence of rocket launches 75m away.
He also revealed intercepted and recorded phone calls that showed Gaza residents appearing to state that there was no shortage of fuel in the area, and that Hamas was storing it underneath hospitals, while claiming that the hospitals were running out of fuel.
“Hamas moves fuel from the hospitals to terrorists … from Shifa Hospital to Jabaliya … because Jabaliya is a terror center.”
Hagari also played a clip from the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), in which a Hamas spokesman admitted to Russia Today TV on October 27 that it had built tunnels to protect Hamas terrorists from attack, and had not built shelters for civilians.
“We will not accept Hamas’s cynical use of hospitals to hide their terror infrastructure. Hamas’s exploitation of hospitals must come to an end.”
A reporter asked why Israel was continuing to fight, knowing that Hamas was putting Palestinian civilians were at risk. Hagari replied by noting that this was a war “we did not start and we did not seek,” but which Israel had been forced to wage after October 7.

‘We Will Drink Your Blood and Eat Your Skull’: A Legacy of Islamic Savagery

The incident was filmed and went viral, attracting international interest and debate. Tamimi was sentenced to eight months in prison after agreeing to a plea bargain and released on 29 July 2018... [I]n February 2018, the famous Israeli poet Yehonatan Geffen, the nephew of Moshe Dayan, posted a poem on his Instagram page that ended with the following lines: “You, Ahed Tamimi, The red-haired, Like David who slapped Goliath, Will be counted among the likes of Joan of Arc, Hannah Senesh and Anne Frank.”
Well, this “heroine” recently wrote the following on her Instagram:
We are waiting for you [Jewish settlers] in all the cities of the West Bank, from Hebron to Jenin. We will slaughter you and you will say that what Hitler did to you was a joke. We will drink your blood and eat your skull. Come on, we're waiting for you.
Much, as usual, can be said here, but of curious interest to me are the cannibalistic references, and the fact that they are common among Muslims -- and, as can now be seen, not just of the so-called “radical” variety.
The Islamic State, for instance, has repeatedly stated that “American blood is best, and we will taste it soon.” Nor was this just “picturesque” language. According to a 2017 report, “Islamic State terrorists are teaching their fighters to eat non-Muslims, it has emerged.” (I managed to save one picture, since likely expunged, of an Obama-sponsored Free Syrian Army “rebel” digging into the heart of a fallen Syrian soldier in 2013.)
Where do these anthropophaginian tendencies come from?
In fact, calls to devour “infidels,” especially as a terror tactic, are common throughout Islamic history. Some well-documented anecdotes come to mind, beginning with the source of inspiration for ISIS’s calls to drink American blood: During the earliest Muslim invasions of Christian Syria, one of Muhammad’s companions, ‘Ubadah bin al-Samat, told a Christian commander that “We have tasted blood and find none sweeter than the blood of Romans” (meaning Byzantines and/or Christians).
Another example concerns that jihadist par excellence, Khalid bin al-Walid (d.642). Dubbed the “Sword of Allah” by Muhammad for his prowess, he holds a revered position among jihadist groups. During the Ridda -- or “apostasy wars” on several Arab tribes that sought to break away from Islam following Muhammad’s death -- Khalid falsely accused Malik bin Nuwayra, a well-liked Arab chieftain, of apostasy. After slaughtering him, Khalid raped -- Muslim sources call it “married” -- Malik’s wife. Not content,
He [Khalid] ordered his [Malik’s] head and he combined it with two stones and cooked a pot over them. And Khalid ate from it that night to terrify the apostate Arab tribes and others. And it was said that Malik’s hair created such a blaze that the meat was so thoroughly cooked [from Muslim historian al-Tabari’s multi-volume chronicle, al-bidaya w’al nihaya (“the Beginning and the End”).
Another anecdote concerns the Islamic conquest of Spain. According to Muslim chronicler Ibn Abdul Hakam, after capturing a group of Christian winemakers, the Islamic invaders
made them prisoners. After that they took one of the vinedressers, slaughtered him, cut him in pieces, and boiled him, while the rest of his companions looked on. They had also boiled meat in other cauldrons. When the meat was cooked, they threw away the flesh of that man which they had boiled; no one knowing that it was thrown away: and they ate the meat which they had boiled, while the rest of the vinedressers were spectators. These did not doubt but that the Moslems ate the flesh of their companion; the rest being afterwards sent away informed the people of Andalus [Christian Spain] that the Moslems feed on human flesh, acquainting them with what had been done to the vinedresser.
Tarek ibn Ziyad -- another jihadist extraordinaire, revered for burning his boats on reaching Spain’s shores as proof of his commitment to jihad or “martyrdom” -- also had Christian captives slaughtered, cooked up, and apparently eaten in front of their fellow hostages. Then, according to Muslim historian Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Maqqari, the Muslim hero “allowed some of the captives to escape, that they might report to their countrymen what they had seen. And thus the stratagem produced the desired effect, since the report of the fugitives contributed in no small degree to increase the panic of the infidels” [The History of the Mohammedan Dynasty, p. 276].
Note that, according to the above-cited Muslim chroniclers, the jihadists engaged in these cannibalistic practices to terrorize and create panic among infidels and apostates, that is, as a form of psychological warfare. This is further pronounced when, as they often do, the chroniclers quote or paraphrase Koran verses that call for “striking terror” into the hearts of nonbelievers (e.g., 3:151, 8:12, 8:60) in juxtaposition to the savage accounts they relay.
(Years back, I watched and linked to a video of a modern-day Egyptian cleric also making it clear that Khalid’s actions were calculated to terrify the apostates. Although YouTube has, as usual, since taken down the video, here’s my original translation of the cleric’s remarks:
People wonder how our lord Khalid could have eaten from such meat? Oh yes -- he ate from it! Our lord Khalid had a very strong character, a great appetite, and everything! All to terrorize the desert Arabs [apostates]. The matter requires determination; these matters require strength -- terrorism.
Indeed, none other than Al Azhar -- the Muslim world’s most prestigious university, which hosted Obama’s 2009 “New Beginning” speech -- teaches these accounts of Muslims eating infidels.
The reason is simple: such a heritage doesn’t belong to ISIS any more than it does to Al Azhar. It belongs to Islam -- hence why a young Palestinian darling is telling Israelis that she will “drink your blood and eat your skull.”
The Palestinian Hamas terror group tried to smuggle dozens of terrorists in ambulances meant to carry wounded civilians out of Gaza, before the U.S. and Egypt reviewed the list of passengers and stopped the ambulances from going through the border.
Hamas tried to sneak its fighters out of the Gaza Strip in ambulances that evacuated dozens of wounded Palestinians to Egypt earlier this week, a senior Biden administration official said Friday.
Hamas had compiled a list of the seriously wounded that it wanted to evacuate from Gaza for treatment in Egypt, along with thousands of foreign nationals looking to flee the enclave.
The list was then vetted by Egypt and the United States, which found that a third of the names on it were of Hamas fighters, the administration official said, adding that the list was rejected and none of the 76 wounded Palestinians who were ultimately evacuated in ambulances out of Gaza were members of the terror group.
It is not clear where the Hamas terrorists would have gone, had they successfully crossed the border into Egypt.
Hamas and other terror groups have often used ambulances to smuggle combatants and weapons, which is a war crime.
As long ago as 2002, Hamas was caught smuggling bombs in ambulances as it attempted to kill Israeli civilians during the second intifada.
Israel’s Magen David Adom, the local equivalent of the Red Cross, slammed the Palestinian Red Crescent for allowing ambulances to be misused, in violation of the laws of war, after an ambulance carrying a woman and three children was also found to be carrying explosives:
Israeli soldiers stopped a Palestinian ambulance last week near the West Bank city of Ramallah and found a 10 kg (22 lb) bomb sewn into a coat which was crammed into the mattress of a stretcher.
In a statement, MDA said it “requests the International Red Cross to intervene immediately in order to ensure that its protege, the Palestinian Red Crescent, strictly observe and respect the protective emblems, for humanitarian purposes only.”
It also called on the Palestinian Red Crescent “to refrain from harmful use of ambulances and…emblems in terrorist activities” which harmed humanitarian services carried out by both sides.
In 2011, terrorists in Iraq used an ambulance packed with explosives to attack local security officials. “The use of ambulances or other medical transport equipment bearing medical insignia for military attacks is a serious violation of the laws of war that amounts to a war crime,” Human Rights Watch said at the time.
“In addition to endangering medical personnel by casting suspicion on their neutrality, it undermines their ability to deliver urgent medical assistance to civilians and combatants on all sides of a conflict.”
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Friday that it had launched an airstrike on an ambulance near Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City because the vehicle was being used to carry terrorists, not the wounded.
