WHERE TO HOUSE JOE BIDEN'S INVADERS UNTIL THE ELECTION? - House Republicans: Biden Plan to Turn U.S. Airports into Migrant Camps Poses Major ‘Security Risks’ to Americans

Poll: 55 Percent Majority Support the Border Wall

BUT THESE ARE LEGALS AND THEY DO NOT REALLY COUNT!

New polls show that immigration is now the top issue for Republican voters and that a clear majority of swing state voters support a border wall.

The poll results are also good news for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), who is using the Capitol Hill budget battles to rebuild border protections for American families.

The Siena College poll for the November 5 New York Times reports that 55 percent of likely voters in six swing states now support a border wall. Just 42 percent oppose the border wall, which is effective if backed up by electronic sensors, nearby border officers, and pro-American border regulations.

Immigration is the top issue for 26 percent of Republican voters, according to a different poll by Reuters, announced on November 7. The 26 percent score is four points above the 22 percent who said the closely related issue of “The economy” is the most important issue.

In turn, just four percent of Democrats say immigration is the biggest issue, said Reuters.

(Reuters Polling Explorer)

A prior October poll showed that President Joe Biden’s migration has created majority support for the border wall.

Under the polling pressure, even business-dominated GOP Senators are moving to a more popular position on immigration.

Still, the donor-steered GOP is far from earning a decisive voter advantage on the issue — nor is it even close to making a family budget case for migration curbs.

November 5 poll by Ipsos for ABC News showed that just 36 percent of Americans trust the GOP to handle migration. But that score is well above the 24 percent trust level earned by the Democratic Party. A further seven percent said both parties were similar, and 31 percent said they did not trust either party or skipped the question.

The Siena College poll that showed 55 percent support for the border wall also showed that 42 percent “strongly support” a border wall, while just 29 percent “strongly oppose” a border wall.

The “strongly” held views are important because they show that the issue is likely to shape voting decisions.

Among swing-voting independents, 55 percent support a border wall, while just 28 percent oppose it. The indendents’ “strongly” vote splits 32 percent strongly for to 12 percent strongly against.

The Siena poll of 3,662 likely voters in six states was conducted from October 22 to November 3.

But the public is also squeamish about explicitly excluding migrants from the United States.

The Siena poll, for example, also showed an even split when the public was asked whether the government should make “it harder for migrants at the southern border to seek asylum in the United States.”

The poll showed that 33 percent of all respondents were strongly for curbs, while 27 percent were strongly opposed. Among independents, 30 percent strongly favor curbs, while 21 percent strongly oppose curbs.

Many polls show the public is increasingly hostile to migration, especially since the explosion of pro-Hamas protests in cities around the nation after the October 7 atrocities against Jews in Israel.

For example, a Siena College poll of New Yorkers taken in mid-October after the Hamas attacks showed that New Yorkers described immigration as a “burden” over a “benefit” by 54 percent to 32 percent, with just five percent saying “mixed.”

Compared to a prior poll in August, those “burden” numbers spiked by 12 points among Catholics – up to 62 percent; by five points among Protestants – up to 64 percent; and by four points among the Jewish community – up to 52 percent. The “benefit” shares slipped to 27 percent, 22 percent, and 28 percent.

President Joe Biden’s migration has added at least four million workers to the nation’s workforce.

That flood is urged and welcomed by business groups because it cuts Americans’ blue-collar wages and white-collar salaries.

It also reduces marketplace pressure to invest in productivity-boosting technologyheartland states, and overseas markets, and it reduces economic pressure on the federal government to deal with the drug and “Deaths of Despair” crises.

Biden’s easy-migration policies are adding the foreigners’ problems to the lengthening list of Americans’ problems — homelessness, low wages, a shrinking middle class, slowing innovation, declining blue-collar life expectancy, spreading poverty, the rising death toll from drugs, and the spreading alienation among yo

House Republicans: Biden Plan to Turn U.S. Airports into Migrant Camps Poses Major ‘Security Risks’ to Americans

House Republicans are urging President Joe Biden’s Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, to reject reported plans that would see United States airports transformed into migrant camps for tens of thousands of illegal aliens.

total of 70 House Republicans, led by House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO), are asking Buttigieg to drop plans in which the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) “has proposed housing 60,000 migrants at four public airports and various other facilities in New York and New Jersey,” they write:

These airports and their communities rightfully fear being transformed into larger versions of Chicago O’Hare International Airport, which has reportedly converted portions of its terminal into a shelter for hundreds of migrants. At a time when the Administration is proposing higher screening requirements on known airline crewmembers due to security risks, we are extremely concerned about the lack of regard for security risks posed by housing thousands of unknown persons at airports, many of which support passenger air service and host sensitive military facilities. [Emphasis added]

Indeed, as Breitbart News reported in September, the sanctuary city of Chicago, Illinois, started housing more than 400 border crossers and illegal aliens at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport in what a reporter called a scene from the dystopian film Mad Max.

The House Republicans — which include House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY), House Aviation Subcommittee Chairman Garret Graves (R-LA), and Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY) — tell Buttigieg they are “deeply disturbed” that the Biden administration is “allowing for and encouraging the use of our nation’s airport infrastructure as temporary shelters for illegal immigrants.”

“We adamantly oppose these ill-conceived plans that blatantly ignore the true crisis at hand and would inappropriately utilize America’s infrastructure,” they write:

Our nation’s airport infrastructure was built to facilitate commerce and transportation, not to serve as housing for unvetted and undocumented migrants. We request that you enforce public airport grant assurances and reject such plans. [Emphasis added]

As you are aware, our Nation’s southern border is an uncontrolled and unmitigated disaster. Untold numbers of illegal immigrants cross our borders unchallenged every single day. Over six million illegal immigrants have entered the United States and been apprehended under President Biden’s failed leadership. Many are then released into the United States, some of whom will presumably never be seen again. The Biden-Harris Administration’s abject failure to protect our border or support policies that will keep America secure is an unconscionable dereliction of the most fundamental duty the Federal Government has to the citizens of this country. [Emphasis added]

Specifically, the House Republicans want Buttigieg to disclose the number of U.S. airports currently housing border crossers and illegal aliens, as well as if the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted any requests to turn airports into migrant camps.

“To what extent has DHS consulted with the FAA about the appropriateness of proposing to house migrants at airports? If DHS has consulted with the FAA, what has been the FAA’s response?” the House Republicans ask Buttigieg in the letter.

Since Biden took office, an estimated six million border crossers and illegal aliens have been welcomed into the U.S. — exceeding the populations of 31 states. Close to three million of those are estimated to have been released into American communities by DHS.

Biden Admin-Released Migrant Charged with Human Smuggling near Canada-Vermont Border

Swanton Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a Colombian migrant in Vermont for allegedly smuggling a group of Mexican migrants across the Canadian border. The Colombian migrant illegally entered the U.S. in Texas just over a year ago and was released by the Biden administration on immigration parole.

“What’s happening along our southern border affects our northern border as well,” Swanton Sector Chief Patrol Agent Robert Garcia said in a post on X. “Border security is national security.”

A Beecher Falls Border Patrol Station agent patrolling the Canadian border in Vermont observed a Honda Accord driving suspiciously in an area known for human smuggling activity, according to a court document obtained by Breitbart Texas. The agent broadcast a vehicle description on his radio, and another agent observed the same vehicle about 11 miles away.

The agent stated the driver attempted to conceal his face as he drove by. The agent also observed three additional passengers in the back seat and no one in the front passenger seat. The agent conducted a vehicle stop to conduct an immigration interview.

The agent identified the driver as 28-year-old David Henao-Palacio, a Colombian citizen. Henao-Palacio produced a New Jersey driver’s license. As the agent attempted to interview the rear-seat passengers — two men and one woman — the driver instructed them not to speak. The passengers appeared nervous, according to the criminal complaint.

The agent removed the driver and passengers and sat them alongside the roadway. While checking their status with Swanton Sector dispatch, the three passengers fled into the woods. The agent then placed Henao-Palacio in handcuffs and turned him over to another agent who arrived on the scene.

The agent then tracked the fleeing passengers into the woods. Eventually, all three were taken into custody. With documents in their possession, the agent identified the three as Mexican nationals who illegally crossed the border from Canada into Vermont.

A records check revealed that Henao-Palacio entered the U.S. by illegally crossing the border from Mexico near Hidalgo, Texas, on August 31, 2022, according to the criminal complaint. After processing in the Rio Grande Valley Sector, officials “paroled” Henao-Palacio into the U.S. He reported to an ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations office on November 2, 2022, and was ordered to appear before an immigration court on August 23, 2024.

Henao-Palacio reportedly admitted an individual contacted him to pick up the three passengers. He said he would be paid $500 each to bring the Mexican nationals to New Brunswick, New Jersey.

The Colombian national now faces charges of human smuggling. If convicted, he could face up to five years in federal prison and could be removed from the U.S.

The Swanton Sector continues to experience its spike in migrant apprehensions, Breitbart Texas reported. Agents in the sector that covers the Canadian border in eastern New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire apprehended more than 1,000 migrants in the first month of FY24.

This is up by nearly 200 percent over October 2022 and is roughly equal to the apprehensions for the entire Fiscal Year 2022.

MAYORKAS LOVES TO FREE JOE'S INVADERS!

Virginia Sanctuary County Frees From Jail Illegal Alien Accused of Child Rape After Biden’s DHS Freed Him into U.S.

The sanctuary county of Fairfax County, Virginia freed from jail an illegal alien accused of raping a child even as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents requested custody of him. The illegal alien had initially been released into the United States by President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) after arriving at the southern border.

In March 2022, after arriving at the United States–Mexico border, the illegal alien from Peru was given a Notice to Appear (NTA) before a federal immigration judge and released into the United States interior.

Only months later, in October 2022, the illegal alien was arrested in Fairfax County for petit larceny. DHS again issued him a NTA before a federal immigration judge. A Fairfax County court eventually deferred the illegal alien’s conviction in May of this year.

In July 2023, the illegal alien was again arrested in Fairfax County and charged with two counts of felony sodomy of a victim under the age of 13, two counts of felony sexual penetration of a victim under the age of 13, three counts of aggravated sexual battery of a victim under the age of 13, and one count of misdemeanor French kissing a child under the age of 13.

When ICE agents issued a detainer for the illegal alien, which is a request to take custody of a suspect who can be deported from the United States, Fairfax County officials followed their sanctuary policy and ignored the request.

Subsequently, the illegal alien was released on Sept. 28, 2023, from the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. ICE agents were able to arrest the illegal alien in October, and he remains in the agency’s custody while awaiting deportation.

“This undocumented noncitizen allegedly committed unspeakable acts against a child,” ICE official Erik Weiss said in a statement:

He has no legal basis to remain in the United States, and he poses a threat to the residents of his community. ERO Washington, D.C. will continue our efforts to apprehend criminals who are released back in the local population when a detainer is not honored. We will remove such threats from our communities. [Emphasis added]

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, Fairfax County has imposed a broad sanctuary policy since May of 2018 — ensuring that criminal illegal aliens are not turned over to ICE agents for deportation.

Virginia today is home to five sanctuary jurisdictions and an illegal alien population of more than 450,000.

Mitch McConnell OKs Partial Immigration Reforms

The Senate’s establishment GOP leadership has endorsed valuable but limited reforms to immigration policy because of populist pressure from the House GOP amid the end-of-year budget negotiations.

The draft changes endorsed by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) are valuable but are also inadequate to block inevitable evasions by President Joe Biden’s deputies,  said Jon Feere, the director of investigations at the Center for Immigration Studies.

“The devil is in the details and there’s not much detail here … and there’s no language that requires actual [measurable] results,” he told Breitbart News.

Biden’s border chief, Alejandro Mayorkas, “will just come up with workarounds … [because] this administration has already proven that it has no interest in enforcing existing federal law,” he said, adding:

There are some provisions that are worth considering, but this proposal entirely avoids any conversation about the aliens that Biden has already allowed in … It almost appears as if the preference is to allow all of [Preisdent Joe] Biden’s illegal aliens to remain here.

‘The GOP proposals were drafted by several senators working for McConnell in response to public pressure from House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).

McConnell quietly helped to block reforms in 2018. But this year, he picked the group’s leaders — Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) — to draft plausible reforms.

The three members reflect the outsized role of business donors in the Senate’s immigration politics.  Graham was one of four pro-migration GOP Senators in the 2013 “Gang of Eight” amnesty push. Lankford supports more migration for CEOs, and Cotton zig-zags amid pressure from wage-cutting employers and wage-seeking employees in his home state of Arkansas.

But Johnson promised last week “to force the issue” in the end-of-year negotiations over funding for agencies,  Israel, and Ukraine’s war with Russia. He also tweeted his support for the GOP’s H.R. 2 comprehensive immigration reform bill that would:

“Finish the wall, End catch and release, End abuse of parole authority, Reform the broken asylum system, Restart Remain in Mexico.”

The GOP senators’ bill does address some — not all — of the reforms in the GOP’s H.R. 2 immigration-stabilization bill.

For example, the Senate plan would direct the Department of Homeland Security to continue building the border wall and its network of sensors.

It would block asylum by requiring migrants to seek asylum in each country that they transit on their way to the United States border, it would tighten and streamline asylum requirements, and also restore the “Remain in Mexico” policy that prevents migrants from getting the U.S. jobs they need to quickly repay debts to cartel-aided migrant smugglers.

The Senators’ bill would also tighten rules for asylum-seeking families and it tries to narrow the parole loophole that has been ruthlessly used by Biden’s deputies to import job-seeking migrants directly from their home countries.

The changes in rules for asylum and parole are especially important because those two legal rules are being used to launder more than one million illegal migrants each year.

But the Senator’s list does not set clear outcomes on these reforms, noted Feere. For example, the Senate bill could try to set up a cap on parole awards which would cleanly block Mayorkas’s inflow, he said.

The bill does not defund Biden’s other schemes to import more workers via the federal refugee program, or the new “Safe Mobility Offices” that are being created in countries south of the U.S. border.

It also does not defund the catch-and-release pipeline of aid groups that house, train, and transport migrants to the U.S. jobs and homes that are needed by several million sidelined Americans.

Also, “there are zero mention of interior enforcement and zero mention of ICE officers, and that’s a serious omission that really makes me question the seriousness,” said Feere, who worked as a top enforcement official for President Donald Trump.

The GOP Senate plan is likely to face strong opposition from Democrats, few of whom are willing to reduce the massive inflow of wage-cutting, rent-spiking migrants into American communities.

But many GOP Senators are also going to publicly or quietly oppose the GOP proposal, which would slow the delivery of new workers, renters, and consumers to influential CEOs and donors across the United States.

For example, Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND), is pushing two bills that would help CEOs import foreign workers instead of hiring, training, and paying Americans to do the jobs.

RELATED: INCOMING — Caravan of Migrants Progress North Through Tapachula, Mexico, Towards U.S. Border

One bill would allow hospital CEOs to import an additional 25,000 foreigners for jobs that would otherwise go to better-paid American nurses. The bill is backed by at least seven other GOP Senators.

He is also backing a bill that would help CEOs import Indian graduates to take white-collar American jobs in exchange for low wages and the government-provided, deferred bonus of green cards. That visa worker inflow is already being expanded by Biden’s deputies, so helping to push many more American graduates out of good jobs and careers.

Cramer’s EAGLE Act bill is backed by a lobbying group of Indian contract workers: “We are incredibly grateful to Senator Cramer … for leading the bill and urge its swift passage in Congress,” said Aman Kapoor, a founder of the group, Immigration Voice.

Cramer describes himself as a “strong advocate for the free market system,” even though his “EAGLE Act” bill would tilt the labor market in favor of donors and against ordinary American voters.

Both bills have repeatedly failed to win support — but they show the determination of many GOP Senators to provide donors with cheap foreign labor regardless of the pocketbook damage to their fellow citizens who have been pushed out of jobs and homes by the federal policy.

Many Democrats are also pushing for more migrant workers.

For example, eight Democratic Senators, including Sen. Bernie Saunders (D-VT), sent a November 2 letter to Mayorkas listing ways in which he could use his legal authority to accelerate the flow of foreign workers into the jobs needed by Americans.

“We now urge you to implement these policy changes swiftly and to adopt additional changes to ensure that all new arrivals who are eligible to work can do so promptly,” the eight Senators wrote.

House Democrats also oppose the GOP’s stabilization plans.

Business groups also oppose any reduction to the inflow of workers, renters, and consumers by insisting the migration problem is really about border chaos, not the economic damage to Americans.

“The Administration should be expanding access to legal pathways to reduce the number of people attempting unauthorized crossings,” said a November 3 report by FWD.us, a lobby group for West Coast investors.

The investors’ progressive allies have already prompted the White House to back away from a minor update to the asylum rules, and are now trying to sink the GOP reforms.

The “Senate Republican border proposal effectively ends asylum,” claimed Tom Jawetz, a prominent progressive for greater migration.

“Senate Republicans also want to end the Biden admin’s parole program that provides a literal lifeline to people fleeing Ukraine,” he claimed — as if Ukrainians were not allowed into Western Europe.
