HOLLYWOOD DOES NOT SURVIVE WOKE FASCISM - Nolte: ‘Existential Crisis’ as Woke Hollywood Loses 20% of Moviegoers

YEAH, BECAUSE NO ONE GIVES A FUCKE WHAT A PACK OF SELFINDULGENT, NARCISSISTIC OVER-PAID ACTORS THINK ABOUT SHIT!

Golden Globes Fail: CBS Broadcast Slammed as ‘Unfunny,’ ‘Near-Total Disaster,’ a ‘New Low’

The verdict is in and the Golden Globes Awards on Sunday was an unqualified disaster.

Despite non-stop hype from CBS — Hollywood is back! Diversity! Jo Koy! (who?) — the broadcast fell flat on its face, with even the mainstream entertainment media deeming it as “unfunny,” a “near-total disaster,” and a “new low.”

Sunday’s primetime broadcast was meant to be a reboot of sorts for the beleaguered and rating-challenged awards show. CBS took over from NBC, seeking to rebrand the annual party as a new and improved version of the quasi-shady and ethically suspect awards-season ritual that just two years ago became the black sheep of Hollywood.

But despite the strong presence of numerous A-list stars, not to mention the Barbenheimer, the show struck many as a fiasco.

Vanity Fair magazine — not exactly a publication disinclined toward having a good time at a celebrity party — called the broadcast a “near-total disaster,” describing host Jo Koy’s strenuous opening monologue as a “horrid, sophomoric mishmash of lazy jokes” that failed to elicit much laughter.

“A cynical, grasping ceremony is nothing new for the Globes, but this year felt particularly desperate,” the magazine’s awards show axiom Richard Lawson concluded.

The New York Post called Sunday’s broadcast “godawful” and a “new low” for the show.

“Wow, was this shindig agonizing. The evening was unbearably unfunny and had just two or three great speeches over three long hours,” the paper concluded.

“The best reform the Globes could possibly make next, for the sanity of everybody at home, is to just call it quits.”

Britain’s The Telegraph called the show a “disaster.”

“This abominable orgy of backslapping and anti-humour has no reason to exist,” the paper said.

Sunday’s three-hour telecast crowned Oppenheimer and Poor Things as the best movies of the year, while also heaping honors on the series Succession and The Bear.

Barbie was mostly shut out, though it did manage to snag the Globes’ new award called “best cinematic and box office achievement” — a category clearly designed to juice viewership.

Last year’s show managed to draw a paltry 6.3 million viewers — an all-time low for the Globes.

Report Says Golden Globes Organizers Are Praying Celebrities Won’t Get Political

Organizers of the ratings-challenged Golden Globes Awards are praying that celebrities won’t get political and start grandstanding during Sunday’s live CBS broadcast, according to a new report.

This year’s ceremony comes during an election year in which former President Donald Trump is leading the incumbent Joe Biden in many polls. In addition, the Israel-Hamas war has become a divisive issue among Hollywood stars.

“Everyone is hoping it won’t get too political,” an unnamed source told Page Six.

While stars will not be censored, another source told the publication: “Everyone is hoping that the Globes will bring glamour and fun and Hollywood back to the world. It’s truly needed.”

Sunday’s show will feature celebrity nominees and presenters known for their left-wing activism — Robert De NiroMark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle, Julianne Moore, America Ferrera, and climate change activist Leonardo DiCaprio are all expected to be on hand.

Last year’s Golden Globes was a ratings fiasco.

The broadcast managed to draw a paltry 6.3 million viewers — an all-time low for the Globes.

Like other Hollywood awards shows, the Globes is contending with dwindling viewers as tens of millions of Americans are opting to avoid the garish display of left-wing Hollywood self-worship.

Past Globes ceremonies have seen left-wing celebrities using the show to lecture the American public on social and political issues.

Meryl Streep once bashed Trump, while Michelle Williams delivered a pro-abortion rant.

Last year’s host Jerrod Carmichael opened the broadcast with a long, awkward monologue about diversity.

This year, comedian Jo Koy will host the show.

Nolte: ‘Existential Crisis’ as Woke Hollywood Loses 20% of Moviegoers

Indiana Jones (Disney/LucasFilm)

The COVID pandemic is three years in the rearview and still being blamed for Hollywood losing 20 percent of moviegoers.

“One out of every five moviegoers has vanished since the pandemic, according to research compiled by one Hollywood studio,” reports the far-left Hollywood Reporter. “Whether they’ll ever return to see a film on the big screen is anyone’s guess — and, if they do, when.”

Compared to the last pre-pandemic year of 2019, the domestic box office is down 21 percent.

The lengthy article is full of facts and figures. It also accidentally answers the question it asks about why this is happening and how to fix it, but it never acknowledges the answer.

The answer is right here: Spider-Man: No Way HomeBarbie, OppenheimerJohn Wick 4Top Gun: Maverick, and Sound of Freedom. Those titles were monster hits during and after the pandemic for one very simple reason: people wanted to see them.

Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick (Paramount Pictures)

The idea that the reasons behind this drop in moviegoing ranks is a whodunnit is absurd. The titles above prove that people will still turn out in droves if they find something appealing. So, how can anyone still blame the pandemic for the drop in moviegoing? If the pandemic was to blame, nothing could succeed in theaters.

Plus, Taylor Swift’s big 2023 concert tour proves the moviegoing demo isn’t afraid to congregate or come out of their homes. She’s packing them in up to the rafters.

The article also suggests moviegoers are tired of aging franchises. How can that be true when the fifth biggest global blockbuster of 2023 was the tenth chapter in the 24-year-old Fast & Furious franchise?

The article suggests moviegoers are tired of superheroes. How can that be true when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 was 2023’s fourth biggest global blockbuster?

Audiences worn out by franchises and superhero movies would not go to see any aging franchise or superhero movie. Fast X and Guardians became hits because people wanted to see them. But why Fast X and Guardians 3, and not Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny? Another simple answer… Dial of Destiny emasculated and shamed its hero with an unappealing girl sidekick, while Fast X and Guardians 3 remained true to their characters and what made them iconic.

The “existential” truth, and we all know it, is this: Ever since Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016, Hollywood has sought to punish, insult, and alienate Trump voters (half the country) by way of cinematic tantrums that scold and dehumanize us due to our gender, faith, political beliefs, and overall normalcy.

Hollywood’s insane crusade against decent people (and decency) hit warp speed after the murder of George Floyd with a legion of movies where no one behaves or interacts normally. In order to push its social and political agenda, everyone’s a simple-minded stand-in for us evil normal people or the oh-so noble BIPOCLGBTQTARDs. Disney is now “queering” our children. Indiana Jones is criticized as a colonialist. Luke Skywalker is a child murderer. Buzz Lightyear is a GLAAD crusader. Thor learns to wear an apron.

On top of that, movie after movie tells us sexual deviancy, mental illness, and narcissism are virtues. Worst of all, our heroes, the very characters that made these franchises golden geese for decades, are deconstructed, portrayed as bigots, and replaced with girls and racial minorities for no good reason other than tokenism. Sometimes, as the Equalizer franchise proved, there is a good reason — Denzel Washington is awesome. Mostly, though, the tokenism is so ham-handed and off-putting that the bad taste in our mouths tells us not to bother purchasing a ticket.

There’s no mystery here: movies suck.

Tearful Jonathan Majors Says ‘It’s Been Hard’ Since Assault Conviction, Marvel Firing

Actor Jonathan Majors, star of Creed III and Ant-Man: Quantumania, has spoken publicly for the first time since being convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, using an interview to air his woes in the aftermath of his high-profile trial.

The actor, 34, wiped away a tear as he discussed the career-devastating trial in the exchange with anchor Linsey Davis on ABC’s Good Morning America set to be aired Monday.

Majors was convicted last month in New York for assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, 30, as Breitbart News reported.

The guilty verdict led him to be immediately dropped by Marvel Studios and the Walt Disney Co. while another much-anticipated film is now in limbo.

He was also acquitted of two further counts of misdemeanor assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury and misdemeanor aggravated harassment in the second degree, at the same trial.

In the interview he touches on just how hard life has been since the courtroom appearances with just a short clip released as a teaser.

“Why did you decide you wanted to talk now?” Davis asked the disgraced rising star in the clip. “Do you think you’ll ever work in Hollywood again?”

As Breitbart News reported a “jury composed of three men and three women convicted the rising Hollywood star following a two-week trial in a state court in Manhattan.”

“Prosecutors argued that Jonathan Majors assaulted Grace Jabbari in a car in New York in March, leaving her with a broken finger and swollen arm and ear. The actor was facing charges including two assault counts and two harassment counts —  all of which were misdemeanors,” it noted.

“The actor has maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal, and even accused Jabbari of assaulting him,” it added.
