Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) insulted Angel Moms, one whose daughter was murdered, allegedly by an illegal alien MS-13 Gang member, and the other’s child who was poisoned by fentanyl, at a congressional hearing on Thursday — telling them they are unqualified to determine if Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas should be impeached.

As Breitbart News reported, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) held the second Mayorkas impeachment hearing this week.

Angel Moms Tammy Nobles, whose daughter Kayla Hamilton was murdered, allegedly, by an illegal alien MS-13 Gang member, and Josephine Dunn, whose daughter Ashley Marie was poisoned by fentanyl, testified at the hearing. Mayorkas declined to testify.

Goldman used the hearing to insult Nobles and Dunn, telling them that they were not qualified to determine whether Mayorkas should be impeached despite both having lived through the human cost of illegal immigration and drug trafficking.

Goldman told Nobles and Dunn:

I just want to apologize to you in some way that you are here really to share your story but being used as a fact witness in an impeachment investigation and obviously given what your experience has been, you don’t have the background to understand what a high crime misdemeanor is and how it relates to this. I hope you’re handling that okay.

Later, Dunn fired back at Goldman, asking him repeatedly if he had visited the United States-Mexico border during Mayorkas’s tenure and warning that Border Patrol agents are merely acting as a “welcoming committee” at the border.

The exchange went as follows:

GOLDMAN: I assume, Mrs. Dunn, you would agree would you not that it would help to stop the fentanyl trade … if we had more law enforcement officers at the border and more resources and technology to stop the fentanyl from coming in? Do you agree with that?

DUNN: I disagree with that because Border Patrol is now being used to make sandwiches and to screen people and let them into our country. So I disagree with you.

GOLDMAN: So you’re saying that the, so you’re saying that, you’re upset that the Border Patrol is not doing, is making sandwiches I think you said, so you don’t think it would be helpful to have more Border Patrol officers who are charged with stopping the fentanyl trade?

DUNN: I would like the Border Patrol to be able to do the job that they were hired to do. Every Border Patrol officer that I have spoken to has told me that their hands are tied by this administration and Mr. Mayorkas. I’ve been to the border sir, have you? Have you?

GOLDMAN: Excuse me. I’m asking the questions.

DUNN: I’m just wondering.

Still, Nobles and Dunn said they believe Mayorkas is at least partially at fault for their daughters’ deaths in 2021 and 2022 because he has carried out President Joe Biden’s expansive catch and release network that has pulled agents off the border to process illegal aliens arriving.

“He needs to lock down that border,” Dunn told Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-NY). “Everyone keeps saying, ‘Give them more money.’ Those poor Border Patrol agents are now the welcoming committee. They are ordered to be the welcoming committee. They don’t want to be the welcoming committee. They’re told to do that by Mayorkas and this administration.”

“Somebody is telling the poor Border Patrol to not do their job. No matter how much money you give them, they’re still not going to be allowed to do their job,” Dunn said.

Even illegals from countries hostile to U.S. interests get help from Biden’s people.  For example, the administration lowered the vetting process for illegal Chinese aliens, resulting in an explosion of wealthy Chinese men invading our border.  Additionally, under the Biden administration, illegals are allowed to board U.S. aircraft without proper identification, something denied to everyone else.  Now we learn that DHS will give illegals U.S.-issued IDs even though many have no official documentation.  Despite confirmation from the government that terrorists are among these illegals, the administration continues to stonewall efforts to stop the invasion.  Giving aid to America’s enemies is considered treason under Article III, sec. 3 of the U.S. Constitution.

‘Their’ Democracy: Tyranny Comes to the US

Spanning across generations, Americans have done extraordinary things during uncertain times.  My father’s genealogy is rich with such memoirs.  My great (x6) grandfather was a colonel in the Berkshire Milita during the Revolutionary War.  My great (x5) grandmother was part of the runaway scrape when the Alamo fell.  During the Civil War, my great, great grandfather fought for the Union in the Ohio Infantry, 81st Regiment.  My grandfather’s long service in the Army included WWII, and my father completed over 20 years in the Army.  Perhaps the remnants of their DNA combined with growing up on military bases contributed to my deep commitment to our Constitution, our heritage, and the people who sacrificed so much.

Consequently, I am angered that Americans are being conditioned to loathe our shared history and the very people who made our modern country possible.  Even our founding documents have been labeled potentially harmful.  Make no mistake: these actions are happening because of unscrupulous politicians, bureaucrats, and others who are intentionally destroying our nation’s heritage to obtain greater power, control, and wealth.

In place of the  constitutional republic gifted to us by our founders, these charlatans promote “their” democracy.  Even though our founders rejected direct democracy because it leads to tyranny through mob rule, our elites have managed to convince Americans otherwise.  As a result, in pursuit of their democracy, our political class has amassed unsustainable national debt and created an enormous welfare state.  While declaring unity, our democracy cheerleaders encourage racial animosity.  One way is by falsely claiming white supremacy as our country’s greatest threat.  To combat their perceived scourge of heritage America, they forced DIE and other race-based initiatives.  They supported violent aggression by BLM and ANTIFA while vigorously  pursuing and prosecuting Trump-supporters.  At the same time, they hid evidence of J6 defendants’ innocence and conspired to persecute their political rivals.  They improperly used government agencies to monitor Catholic churches and parental groups.  They  used federal money to coerce social media to inhibit free speech and abused their government positions to intimidate much of the public into taking an experimental injection.  They justified their unconstitutional actions under the banner of promoting their democracy.  Furthermore, in defending their democracy, they weaponized government by asserting national security.

Their democracy has also advanced the invasion taking place at our southern border.  In F.Y. 2023, an astonishing 2.5 million illegals, that we know about, illegally gained entry to the U.S.  Using various means, the Biden administration enabled the assault.  One way was refusing to uphold its constitutional duty to protect states from invasion as required by Article IV, section 4 of the U.S. Constitution and U.S. immigration laws.  For example, at Eagle Pass, Texas, the Biden administration directed the U.S. Border Patrol to cut razor wire so that illegals could enter.  Absent help from the federal government, and because Article 1, section 10 of the Constitution gives states power to protect themselves if invaded, Texas gave its police authority to arrest illegals.  In response, the Biden administration sued Texas for doing the job Biden refuses to do.

Additionally, the Biden administration made illegal immigration an economic boom for the invaders while shifting costs onto U.S. taxpayers.  Unlike previous generations of legal immigrants required to be financially independent, current illegals get massive state and federal aid.  The Biden administration even diverted Department of Veterans Affairs heath care resources to aid illegals.  Moreover, through various federal departments, the Biden administration gave  billions in taxpayer funds to non-government organizations (NGOs) to provide illegals “free” housing, food, medical care, hotels, and airfare.

Furthermore, in violation of the 13th Amendment, the Biden administration’s open border policies have facilitated modern-day slavery, where approximately 60% of unaccompanied children crossing our border are exploited by cartels and used in child pornography, drug-trafficking, and worse.  Moreover, complex international syndicates use these children to get single adult males through Border Patrol thanks to a Biden policy that puts pressure on border agents to release, within 72 hours of apprehension, “families,” including adult males with young children.  Once released into the U.S., these children are smuggled back across the border to be repurposed for further trafficking.  Despite these known problems, the Biden administration ended a Trump-era pilot program that did DNA testing of children with adults crossing the border illegally.  It was reported that approximately 30 percent of these children were not related to the adults accompanying them.

Angel Mom Josephine Dunn ripped into Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Thursday, saying he is “partially responsible” for her 26-year-old daughter, Ashley Marie, being poisoned by fentanyl.

During Thursday’s House Homeland Security Committee hearing, Dunn testified to lawmakers about her daughter, Ashley, who died from fentanyl poisoning in May 2021, the day after her son’s fifth birthday.

Mayorkas was invited to testify at the hearing and meet with Dunn as well as Angel Mom Tammy Nobles. On behalf of her 20-year-old daughter Kayla Hamilton, Nobles is suing President Joe Biden’s administration for releasing an illegal alien MS-13 Gang member into the United States, who is charged with murdering and raping Hamilton.

Mayorkas declined to attend the hearing and speak with the Angel Moms, telling Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) in a letter that he would not be in attendance.

“In my humble opinion, Mr. Mayorkas’s border policy is partially responsible for my daughter’s death,” Dunn said:

His wide-open border policy allows massive quantities of poisonous fentanyl into our country. Arizona is the fentanyl superhighway into the United States. I personally feel Mr. Mayorkas is responsible for opening that border to allow more than ten million border crossings since February of 2021, which supports most of the illegal fentanyl into this country. This weapon of mass destruction has killed over 100,000 Americans on our soil for two years in a row. Under Secretary Mayorkas’s leadership, or lack thereof, fentanyl is an invasion. The weapon of mass destruction has caused unimaginable numbers of deaths, unmeasurable damage to our country’s families, including my own. [Emphasis added]

Dunn said Americans deserve to live in a nation “free of fentanyl,” which starts with Mayorkas closing the southern border through fierce enforcement of federal law to prevent drug trafficking as well as illegal immigration.

“My family is broken. My heart is broken, and [Mayorkas] couldn’t even be here to listen to me today,” Dunn said. “Whatever he is doing that is more important than facing me today, I don’t know what that could be. Our country deserves a secure border. Our country deserves to feel safe.”

“We need to close the fentanyl superhighway. We need to close the border,” Dunn said.

Dunn revealed that she was testifying on behalf of her daughter on what would have been her 29th birthday, slamming Mayorkas for not having the decency to face her.

“Today is my daughter’s 29th birthday. I would have rather been home with my poor husband grieving her today,” Dunn said. “I didn’t need to be here today. So whatever he’s doing, I hope it’s more important than that.”

In Biden’s first two years in office, more than 200,000 Americans died from drug overdoses and poisonings — the overwhelming majority of which involved fentanyl. Put another way, drugs and fentanyl have killed 70 times as many Americans in 2021 and 2022 than those who died in the September 11, 2001, Islamic terrorist attacks.

On Thursday’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “The Hill,” House Homeland Security Committee member Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA) stated that while there are problems on the border and with fentanyl, “Alejandro Mayorkas is not the reason” and is “doing a good job” because we haven’t had any terrorist attacks on U.S. soil and we’ve “essentially minimized” cyberattacks on the U.S.

Correa said, “Well, think about what’s going on around the world right now. We have two wars. We have fentanyl [on] our doorstep everywhere on Main Street across the country. We have challenges of fentanyl, sad, tragic deaths, parents mourning. And then, of course, we have a worldwide refugee challenge. So, naturally, we want to find out why this is happening. But Alejandro Mayorkas is not the reason. Alejandro’s doing his job. If you think about those two world wars going on in the Middle East and in Europe…what you’re not talking about is the fact that we haven’t had a terrorist attack, thank God, on our soil, the fact that we’ve essentially minimized any attack — cyberattacks on our society. So, Mayorkas is doing a good job. But we still have a lot more to do in this country. And, in my opinion, instead of spending our time going through these hearings to impeach the guy, he hasn’t committed any crimes. Let’s focus on working together. Senate Republicans, Senate Democrats, the president, we’re all working together. I ask my Republicans in Congress, work with us come up with solutions.”

Former Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Thomas Homan says Democrats’ support for open borders is driven by their “political future” — viewing illegal aliens as potential voters.

During a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing this week, Homan was asked by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) what the motivations are behind President Joe Biden’s driving up the nation’s foreign-born population to nearly 50 million, partially by releasing millions of illegal aliens into the United States interior.

Homan, who is also a visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation, suggested that Democrats’ political willpower drives their open borders agenda.

“President Biden voted for border barriers. He voted for the Secure Fence Act. Why’d he stop building them then? This is political. There’s no other reason,” Homan said, adding:

I’ll ask anybody, what is the downside of less illegal immigration? What is the downside in having a secure border? What’s the downside in less women being sexually assaulted? What’s the downside in less children drowning in rivers? What’s the downside in less fentanyl coming to this country and killing thousands of Americans? What’s the downside in less trafficking, sex trafficking women and children? What’s the downside in millions of dollars not being made by the cartels? [Emphasis added]

[Democrats] obviously see some sort of political future, some political thing that’s going to benefit them in the future. People say, ‘Well maybe they’re Democrat voters.’ I know one thing, President Biden also overturned the Trump census rule which means millions of these people will be counted in sanctuary cities in the census. What does that mean? It means more seats in the House … so I don’t know [emphasis added].

Indeed, as Homan noted, former President Donald Trump had sought to exclude illegal aliens from the Census Bureau’s count solely for congressional apportionment to ensure that left-wing, major cities were not given more House districts simply because of their sanctuary policies that attract illegal immigration.

At the start of 2021, Biden announced that he was overturning that rule and would subsequently include illegal aliens in the count that allots congressional districts to the states.

Democrats are “for noncitizens being able to vote. … That’s just where the left is. … I get it all the time: ‘Why would they allow this situation to happen?'” Jordan said:

The way I look at it, we’re on pace to hit 12 million migrants coming into the country under the Biden administration. That’s the magnitude of this phenomenon. That’s equivalent to the entire population of our state, the state of Ohio — the seventh largest state … that’s an unbelievable number. … I think it’s being done intentionally, and I think the American people would like to know, and I think, more importantly, they’d like it to stop [emphasis added].

According to the latest estimates by Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has welcomed nearly five million border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities in just three years.

“Hundreds of criminal illegal aliens are being released into our communities, and cities and states are spending billions of dollars — not on their own citizens — but on illegal aliens arriving every day,” Homan wrote in his written testimony.

Report: Open Borders Bill May Be Voted on ‘Next Week’

Democrats may schedule a vote “next week” on the still-secret plan to manage President Joe Biden’s profound illegal immigration, according to reports.

“[From] Inside the Senate GOP lunch — McConnell told Republican senators the Senate could vote on the border/Ukraine supplemental NEXT WEEK per three attendees,” said a Wednesday afternoon post on X from Andrew Desiderio at Punchbowl News.

GOP senators usually hold a weekly lunch on Wednesdays and discuss conflicting strategies and priorities. These are where the leadership sets the direction. Reporters wait outside the lunchroom to quiz the senators as they leave and to get authorized leaks from senators’ staffers.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) says he supports the draft border deal, in part because he wants the administration to fund Ukraine’s war against Russia with another $60 billion in weaponry and funds.

But the draft deal is not completed. “There are boundaries to the conversation around gun laws. There are almost no boundaries to the conversation around immigration & border law,” said Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), one of the three primary negotiators. The GOP negotiator is Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), who is praised and reviled by rival groups.

So far, Biden’s deputies have welcomed at least five million illegal migrants over the southern border, in addition to the annual inflow of roughly 1.5 million legal immigrants and visa workers. Overall, Biden’s inflow has delivered roughly three migrants for every two American births

Lankford is denouncing early leaks of the draft deal that Breitbart News published.

“There’s always rumors about what’s actually out there,” Lankford told a CNN producer on January 16.

No one’s seen the text. [House] Speaker [Mike] Johnson has been very clear that if this is the whole agreement, this is a major problem. And it’s clearly not. And there’s all kinds of things that are flying around the internet right now. And I just smile to people and say, there’s a basic principle of life that you don’t believe everything you read on the internet and get the facts.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is touting the draft deal — if the White House is willing to make unclear concessions on the so-called “parole pathway.”

Industry lobbyists are successfully pushing establishment media outlets to portray the dispute as a disagreement about how best to manage and employ the millions of economic migrants who show up at the border. For example, the pending deal would offer workers permits to migrants under the novel claim that they should work instead of getting taxpayer funds while they are waiting years for their legal claims to be decided by the courts.

In contrast, pro-American groups are emphasizing the enforcement of the nation’s existing border laws, such as the law requiring that migrants be detained until their legal claims are decided. The laws are designed to protect American families from unscrupulous investors who hire and rent homes to desperate illegal migrants instead of negotiating on fair terms with American families.

GOP leaders in the House oppose any deal that does not enact the H.R. 2 border stabilization bill.

Cygnal Poll: Republicans Should ‘Tap into’ Voter Anger over Illegal Migration

Republican candidates should recognize that 70 percent of swing-voting independents “strongly” or “somewhat” favor the deportation of illegal migrants, according to a poll by Cygnal released Tuesday.

“This new national data shows just how voters view an unsecure border and the subsequent illegal immigration as a crisis, one that they believe is not being addressed by the Biden Administration,” said Brent Buchanan, president of the Cygnal polling firm. He continued:

Republican candidates at all levels would be wise to tap into this sentiment and contrast themselves with a sheepish bench of Democrats who have largely let the issue fester to a boiling point no locality can afford to further ignore because it’s impacting voters day-to-day lives.

The detailed results from the January 11-12 poll of 2,000 likely voters show that 61 percent of Republican supporters “strongly” support deportations.

Forty percent of independents, and 21 percent of Democrats, blacks, and Biden’s 2020 voters “strongly” favor deportations.

The “strongly” opinions are more important than “somewhat” opinions because they are the most likely to determine how a person votes.

The survey showed that 50 percent of all Democrats favor deportations of illegals — 21 percent “strongly,” and 29 percent “somewhat.”

Many other polls show rising public opposition to legal and illegal migration amid President Joe Biden’s business-backed, easy-migration border policy.

The poll comes as Republican leaders in the Senate intensify their push to reach a border deal with Democrats, despite Democrats’ record of using legal and illegal methods to extract millions of poor and desperate migrants from poor countries. Many Democrats — and some Republicans — want the draft deal so they can minimize the visibility of Biden’s aggressive migration policy during the 2024 presidential campaign.

Support for deportations is weaker among some groups: Roughly 33 percent among women, 5 percent among women younger than 55, 34 percent among voters who vote in presidential elections, and 28 percent among “swing voters.” An additional 32 percent of “swing voters” say they “somewhat” support deportation.
