DEBACLE MAN JOJO BIDEN - GLOBAL BRIBES SUCKER AND DOMESTIC FUKUP - Breitbart Business Digest: Biden Is the Chaos Candidate

Here is the problem in a nutshell.  Most Democrat voters don't realize that leftist idealogues have hijacked the Democrat party, actively pushing traditional Democrat politicians out.  They don't yet understand that the Democrat party they knew doesn't exist anymore.  Almost all of the major news organizations work together to lie to Democrat voters and feed them misinformation constantly.  Corrupted government entities like the FBI and the DOJ, and the leftists running all social media, have worked together to censor and silence any dissenting voices.  The goal is to create a false reality in the eyes of Democrat voters and shield them from the truth.  This is vital to ensure their continued support on Election Day.         IAN MacCONNELL

Never Murder a Man Committing Suicide

Republicans looking out across the chaos that has engulfed American campuses should take Richard Nixon’s advice: “Never murder a man who’s committing suicide.”

The promise of Biden’s 2020 candidacy was a return to normalcy. After the strife of the Trump years and the pandemic, Joe Biden’s most persuasive pitch was that his presidency would bring about a return to a more ordered Republic.

That has not worked out. Instead of economic prosperity, we got massive inflation. Instead of peaceful relations with the world, we have wars in Ukraine and Gaza. A crime wave grips our cities. And our colleges and universities are besieged by antisemitic protests and battling occupations by masked students and “outside agitators” (as the mayor of New York City describes them) falsely accusing Israel of genocide against the Palestinians.

Columbia was the first elite college to erect an encampment in support of Palestine, with students demanding that the school divest from Israel amid the Israel-Hamas war, in which more than 34,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip. The establishment media weirdly used to insist on describing the Trump presidency as “dark” or “troubled times.” That’s far more fitting to America in 2024.

This has been a wake-up call for many on Wall Street. Although America’s financiers once leaned Republican, they had moved to the left in recent decades, not least because President Barack Obama presided over a revival of Wall Street’s fortunes in the aftermath of the financial crisis. What momentarily looked like an existential crisis for the financial sector proved to be merely a period of consolidation, in no small part because of Obama’s policies.

Protest—recall Occupy Wall Street—was just a bubble in the molten mass, to paraphrase Robinson Jeffer’s prophetic poem “Shine Perishing Republic. It popped and sighed out, and the mass hardened. By 2016, nearly all the Wall Street money was flowing into the campaign coffers of Hillary Clinton.

The ugly turn of American progressives against Israel and the uncovering of deeply held antisemitic convictions in our institutions of higher education has been jolting. The Biden administration’s timid responses and complacent acceptance of this—highlighted by Biden’s recent “both sides” comments—is triggering a realignment.

The Ackman Moment

Nowhere can this shift be seen more clearly than in the person of billionaire fund manager Bill Ackman, long considered a progressive Democrat. (He probably considers himself a centrist, but that’s just the way liberal Democrats with money tend to describe themselves.) His social media posts on Elon Musk’s X now read like he’s a loyal reader of Breitbart.

He reposted this from a pseudonymous account:

And wrote this:

He reposted this from Mike Pompeo:

Ackman has always been particularly outspoken. He’s an activist investor, and now he is applying his approach to underperforming companies to American public life. What’s perhaps less visible is that many on Wall Street quietly agree. What’s more, Ackman’s example is giving permission for financial sector folks to do the once unthinkable: openly proclaim their opposition to Biden and support for the once-and-probably-future President Donald Trump.

The Lesson of Chicago 1968

History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does earn compound interest.

The Democratic Party is once again having its national political convention in Chicago. There are very good odds that the world will witness a reprisal of the events of 1968, when leftwing protesters battled police in the parks and streets of the Democrat-controlled city while Hubert Humphrey attempted to make his case that the American people should elect another Democrat into the White House.

Humphrey found the attempt to stand against the anti-American protests without alienating his own party a Gordian knot impossible to untie. He even had his own “both sides” moment when he proclaimed that “Neither mob violence nor police brutality have any place in America.”

The odds are looking very good that Biden will find himself standing in Humphrey’s shoes come the DNC convention. Will he be able to make a pitch that he represents order and peace while his erstwhile political allies accuse Israel of genocide and “occupy” the public square with their hateful sloganeering and venomous encampments?

And what should Republicans and conservatives do as leftwing chaos surges?

Nearly thirty years ago, one of the authors of this newsletter was a young staffer on the campaign for the Republican presidential nomination of Pat Buchanan. It was a brilliant campaign waged against the Republican establishment on behalf of America First economic and foreign policies and conservative approaches to domestic politics that—sadly—America was not yet ready to hear. Twenty years later, Trump would win the White House on a very similar platform in large part because the very catastrophes Buchanan was warning against had actually come to pass.

One day toward the end of the campaign, Buchanan told us the story of his experience at the 1968 Democratic convention.

Buchanan had asked Nixon to send him to Chicago to be part of a GOP rapid response and observation team. The idea was to put a team on the ground to hear what the Democrats were saying and to be where all the national press would be to deliver Republican rebuttals to the claims of Democrats at their convention.

Nixon agreed to the idea and sent Buchanan, then not even 30 years old, as well as William Safire and a young GOP Congressman from Illinois named Donald Rumsfeld. They set up shop in the Conrad Hilton Hotel, across the street from Grant Park, where the worst rioting took place.

On the first night that protesters clashed with Mayor Daley’s police, Buchanan and Safire went down to Grant Park. “We probably should not have gone in coats and ties,” Buchanan told us. “That was provocative to the long-haired and bearded kids.”

Buchanan said they wound up being tear-gassed down on the street when the cops moved in and nearly got their own heads bashed in by the cops, even in their square-peg suit and ties. They retreated back to the hotel and watched the action through the window of their hotel room. It was not a bad place to be. Apparently, the boxer Jose Torres and writer Norman Mailer also decamped to the Nixon-operative suite to watch from the windows.

The team of Buchanan, Safire, and Rumsfeld debated how the Nixon campaign should respond to what later became known as a “police riot.” Coming down too much on the side of “law and order” risked seeming unsympathetic to what many Americans saw as “kids” being battered by police. On the other hand, the worst of the protesters epitomized exactly the sort of anti-American attitudes that Nixon was campaigning against.

Buchanan realized that the right approach was to do nothing. He phoned Nixon, who was down in Florida, and advised him that the best thing they could do was sit back and allow the media to focus on the unruly protesters and their battles with police. No visible GOP presence was necessary at all. Indeed, it would be counter-productive. Better to issue no statements at all and just serve drinks to members of the press watching the action from the 19th floor hotel room where the Nixon operatives were staying.

Nixon agreed. Safire, Buchanan, and Rumsfeld stood down. It was then that Nixon recalled the maxim that Buchanan said originated with Woodrow Wilson: “Never murder a man who’s attempting to commit suicide.”

The progressive coalition that elected Biden in 2020 is committing suicide. Republicans should probably take the Buchanan-Nixon response to heart. It may pay off with interest this time.

Poll: Nearly Seven in Ten Think Joe Biden’s America Is ‘Out of Control’

The vast majority of respondents in a YouGov/Economist poll believe that President Joe Biden’s America is “out of control.”

The poll, published on Wednesday, asked 1,755 Americans whether they felt “things in this country these days are” “under control” or “out of control.” An overwhelming majority of 68 percent believe things are “out of control,” while a mere 16 percent think things are “under control.”

It comes as widespread anti-Israel protests consume college campuses, as the economy is still reeling from 40-year-high inflation, and as an illegal immigration crisis persists at the U.S. southern border.

The survey found that more Democrats believe “things” are out of control (48 percent) than under control (31 percent) in the United States. Just five percent did not have an opinion.

Seventy percent of independents believe the country is out of control, as do nearly 90 percent of Republicans. Just 11 percent of independents say the country is under control. Majorities across all sub-demographics of race, gender, age, and income think it is out of control.

Similarly, the poll finds that 66 percent of Americans say the country is “off on the wrong track,” while 21 percent say it is “generally headed in the right direction.” Twelve percent did not have opinions one way or another.

Those who believe the country is headed in the wrong direction include 72 percent of independents, 87 percent of Republicans, 42 percent of Democrats, and majorities in all age, gender, and income demographics.

Biden’s approval rating in this poll is 37 percent, while 58 percent give his presidential performance negative marks.

The top issue for voters in this poll was inflation and prices, with 23 percent of respondents selecting it as the most important issue. Though they may not have selected it as their top issue personally, nearly all respondents (96 percent) said inflation and prices were important issues to them. This included 77 percent of all respondents who said the issue is “very important.”

Biden has an abysmal approval rating of just 29 percent regarding his handling of inflation, while 61 percent are dissatisfied with how he has approached the problem.

The poll was conducted from April 28-30, 2024, and has a margin of error of ± 2.9 percentage points.

THERE WILL NEVER BE AN END TO JOE BIDEN'S MASS ASSAULT ON THE AMERICAN WORKER!

THE PIGS WHO RUN THE COUNTRY IN TO THE GROUND COULD GIVE A FUK ABOUT THE AMERICAN DREAM. THEY SERVE THE BILLIONAIRE CLASS FOR OPEN BORDERS, WHICH IS ALL TECH COMPANIES!

The cause of mass immigration, bolstered by legal and illegal aliens alike, is championed by homegrown proponents who turn a blind eye to its deleterious effects. They perpetuate a cycle of decline that erodes the very foundations of the American dream.

The House delivered articles of impeachment and announced in the well of the Senate two articles, charging Mayorkas with “willfully subverting immigration laws by refusing to carry out enforcement laws,” while “breaching the public trust by lying to and obstructing Congress.”

America's immigration nightmare: The economic and social fallout

The April pronouncements of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell at Stanford University have sparked a crucial discourse about the ramifications of mass immigration on the American economy. Powell's observations emphasized the significant role of immigrants, particularly within lower-paying sectors of the labor market, prompting economists to hastily reconsider their projections.

The forecasts presented by the Congressional Budget Office (C.B.O.) paint a stark panorama: an astounding 3.3 million individuals entered the United States in 2023 alone, with similar figures anticipated for 2024.

While some champion these statistics as heralds of economic expansion, the underlying reality is bleak. The majority of this influx comprises individuals entering the country unlawfully, imposing an undue strain on local communities and stretching public services to their limits.

What is particularly disconcerting is that much of this purported economic growth stems from illicit employment practices, perpetuating an underground economy riddled with exploitation and criminality.

Instead of acknowledging the harm wrought by unchecked immigration, policymakers and commentators persist in extolling its alleged benefits while turning a blind eye to its adverse impacts on American workers and communities.

Consider the predicament of New York City, where Mayor Eric Adams has beseeched for federal aid to manage the surge of illegal aliens. Such pleas merely skim the surface of the deeper issues arising from misguided immigration policies and porosity at the borders.

Furthermore, the discourse on mass immigration conveniently sidesteps the crucial question of assimilation and self-sufficiency. How swiftly can these newcomers integrate into American society and become productive contributors to the economy? The answer remains elusive, shrouded in wishful thinking and baseless optimism.

While proponents of mass immigration laud its role in propelling economic expansion, they ignore its stifling effect on innovation and sustained productivity. Enterprises drawn to low-cost labor are disinclined to invest in technology and automation, perpetuating a cycle of stagnation and dependence.

Policies aimed at artificially boosting wages, such as California's $20 minimum wage mandate, exacerbate the issue by curtailing working hours and eliminating jobs. The influx of immigrant workers, concentrated in low-skilled sectors, further undermines the prospects of American workers striving to make ends meet.

Yet, perhaps the most damning indictment of mass immigration lies in its unintended repercussions, transcending the economic domain. The reliance on immigrant labor fosters social maladies ranging from criminality and social alienation to drug overdoses and economic despondency.

Contrary to grand assertions, the data paints a stark picture of native-born Americans being marginalized in their own nation's labor market. While immigrants secure a disproportionate share of employment opportunities, native employment continues to dwindle, imperiling the economic prospects of millions of hardworking Americans.

As America confronts the aftermath of misguided immigration policies, it is imperative to confront reality. Denial of the adverse effects of mass immigration only perpetuates the cycle of decline, relegating the American dream to a remote ideal for those who merit better.

Looking away from the mainstream media's rabid rantings, one finds sobering insights into the multifaceted impact of immigration on the American economy and society, challenging prevalent narratives and advocating for a reevaluation of immigration policies.

This paves the way for a broader examination of America's societal challenges, offering avenues towards a more harmonious and prosperous future.

The alternative borders on the unthinkable. My latest book, 'What Happened to America?: How—and Why—the American Dream Became a Nightmare,' deals with the social, economic, political, and cultural ravages of bad immigration policy. Needless to say, America is the victim of this policy, as has been the case for some time.

Indeed, the country's litany of pressing problems, which grow more severe without hesitation, can be traced back to immigration blunders. America itself stands, a house divided, as a cautionary tale about what happens when immigrants do not leave a land better than when they found it. After all, a nation is only as promising as its people.

If America is truly to be made great again, then bold actions, not idle words, are required to produce something in the way of a national turnaround. This cannot happen, under any circumstances, if the grim reality of Uncle Sam's immigration policy goes ignored.

Short of coming to terms with America's immigration madness, plans for a countrywide renewal are nothing short of conversations with imaginary friends.

One day, all of America might become something like New York City, which grapples with the influx of illegal aliens, while pathetically pleading for federal assistance. Of course, these humiliating stretches of the hand outward merely scratch the surface of the deeper issues—each stemming from porous borders and misguided immigration policies.

The failure to address the fundamental questions of assimilation and self-sufficiency further compounds the immigration problem. American workers grow sidelined in their own country's labor market, simultaneously finding themselves strangers in an ever-stranger land.

The cause of mass immigration, bolstered by legal and illegal aliens alike, is championed by homegrown proponents who turn a blind eye to its deleterious effects. They perpetuate a cycle of decline that erodes the very foundations of the American dream.

When that dream is completely dead, desperation sets in, and the consequences of that are certain to be horrifying.

J.D. Vance Probes DOJ for Favoring Foreigners over Americans in Job Discrimination Cases

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) is leading a probe into President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) for what he alleges is favoritism to foreign workers over American citizens in employment discrimination cases.

In a letter to DOJ officials, Vance, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), and Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) suggest that the department has become increasingly laser-focused on employment discrimination cases where foreign workers are the alleged victims.

Meanwhile, cases where Americans are the alleged victims of employment discrimination have dwindled to a small fraction since Biden took office in late January 2021.

“We write to ensure that the DOJ is faithfully carrying out its statutory duty to protect American workers from employment practices that privilege asylum seekers, parolees, and other aliens over American citizens. Recent reports suggest that these practices are growing in prevalence, but the Civil Rights Division is nowhere to be found,” the senators wrote:

As you know, U.S. citizens are “protected individuals” against whom employers cannot discriminate under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). In fact, they are more than protected—they are preferred. The INA provides that “it is not an unfair immigration-related employment practice for a person or other entity to prefer to hire, recruit, or refer an individual who is a citizen or national of the United States over another individual who is an alien” if both are fully qualified for the position. Federal law thus instructs employers to put a thumb on the scale in favor of U.S. workers: as one federal appellate court put it, “if you have a U.S. citizen and a foreigner with exactly the same qualification, you take the U.S. citizen.” [Emphasis added]

One would thus expect the officials tasked with enforcing the INA’s prohibition on citizenship discrimination to be at least as concerned about U.S. citizen victims as they are about aliens. But if that is true, then its truth has been obscured by recent events. [Emphasis added]

In particular, the senators noted that the DOJ’s Immigrant and Employee Rights Section (IER) published 46 press releases in the last two years regarding enforcement of the INA’s anti-discrimination provisions.

Of those press releases, fewer than 2 in 10 involved any employment discrimination against American citizens, and just two involved discrimination exclusively against American citizens.

“It would seem, then, that a disproportionate share of IER’s resources have been deployed to protect precisely those workers that federal law disfavors, all else being equal,” the senators wrote.

While former President Donald Trump’s DOJ opened the Protecting U.S. Workers Initiative to specifically target employers favoring foreign workers over Americans, Biden ended the project when he terminated the “Buy American, Hire American” executive order in 2021.

The senators alleged that employers are taking advantage as a result.

“Employers have taken advantage of IER’s leniency,” the senators wrote:

Collaborating with advocacy organizations like the Tent Partnership for Refugees, a long list of American employers have begun to blatantly discriminate on the basis of citizenship and immigration status, even committing themselves to numerical hiring quotas. Starbucks has committed to hiring 10,000 refugees across all its markets (including the U.S. market), Amazon has committed to hiring 5,000 refugees in the United States alone, and numerous others—including Hyatt Hotels, PepsiCo, and Pfizer—have committed to hiring 500 refugees or more. The INA prohibits hiring decisions that are made “because of” an American job seeker’s U.S. citizenship. Can employers’ numerical hiring quotas coexist with that mandate? [Emphasis added]

Some companies, like Tyson Foods, even provide employment benefits exclusively to noncitizens. Tyson has spent significant sums “reimburs[ing] team members for citizenship application fees” and retaining organizations that “provide immigrants with legal services, such as employment authorization renewals and petitions for citizenship.” In theory, these benefits may be open to all-comers. But how many U.S. citizens need their employers to pay citizenship application fees? [Emphasis added]

By May 31, the senators are asking the DOJ for records on whether or not the department is currently investigating any employers for hiring refugees over Americans.

The senators also want answers on the percentage of employment discrimination investigations, settlements, and litigation matters over the last two years that involved only American citizens, as well as if the department believes it is legal to provide employment benefits solely to foreign workers.

Vance has long sounded the alarm on the Biden administration’s perceived favoritism to foreign workers over American citizens.

In August of last year, Breitbart News exclusively detailed Vance’s efforts to bring transparency regarding the DOJ’s lawsuit against SpaceX — which accuses Elon Musk’s rocket company of failing to “fairly consider or hire asylees and refugees.”

The following month, SpaceX countersued the DOJ to throw out the lawsuit.

Garland also claimed falsely that the new law ensures “the protection of Americans’ privacy and civil liberties,” and the intelligence agencies and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will “continue to uphold our commitment to protect the rights of all Americans.”

Biden signs expanded warrantless surveillance law hours after Senate reauthorization of Section 702

On Saturday, President Biden signed into law a two-year extension of warrantless electronic spying on everyone by intelligence agencies, known as Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

The reauthorization bill, called Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act, both extends and expands the surveillance powers used by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Security Agency (NSA) that violate the Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution.

Biden signed the legislation following its passage by the US Senate early Saturday morning in a bipartisan 64 to 34 vote. The Senate approval took place shortly after the recent temporary extension of Section 702 authorization had expired at midnight on Friday. The US House passed the bill a week earlier in a similar bipartisan majority vote of 273 to 147.

The White House released a statement by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan after the Senate vote saying Biden would sign the bill “swiftly.” Sullivan repeated the claims made throughout the reauthorization process—and supported enthusiastically by substantial majorities in both houses of Congress—that basic democratic rights need to be violated to “protect against a wide range of dangerous threats to Americans,” and “to detect grave national security threats.”

Sullivan also fraudulently claimed the warrantless surveillance legislation contained, “safeguards for privacy and civil liberties through the most robust set of reforms ever included in legislation to reauthorize Section 702.”

Attorney General Merrick Garland also issued a statement on behalf of the US Justice Department that said the spying authority is “indispensable to the Justice Department’s work to protect the American people from terrorist, nation-state, cyber, and other threats.” Garland referenced the “global threat environment” as justification for the illegal surveillance by US intelligence.

Garland also claimed falsely that the new law ensures “the protection of Americans’ privacy and civil liberties,” and the intelligence agencies and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will “continue to uphold our commitment to protect the rights of all Americans.”

Section 702 of the FISA law is based on the false premise that the warrantless surveillance authorized by it can be only directed at the electronic communications of “foreigners” and cannot be used to collect the internet activity, text messages, email and phone calls of US citizens. The provisions of the law require internet service providers and telecommunications companies such as Google and Verizon to cooperate with intelligence agencies and provide, on a moments notice, unimpeded access to the transmission of data and electronic communications across their networks and the platforms of the targeted individuals.

However, fully aware that the communications of Americans are being gathered and searched along with everyone else in the world, the US political establishment is continuing to hide behind a lie to support blatant violations of fundamental rights.

This fact was proven in the proceedings of both the House and Senate leading up to the final votes approving the new legislation. When amendments were put forward that would have mandated court-issued warrants before intelligence and police agencies could view the contents of US citizens’ communications that had been gathered up in the surveillance dragnet, both chambers voted them down.

In the Senate, the warrant requirement amendment was defeated 50 to 42. In the House, the amendment was defeated after the intervention of President Biden, who made phone calls demanding a no vote, and the support of Republican Speaker Mike Johnson who cast the deciding vote. In a memo circulated to House members, the White House denounced the warrants amendment and said it would “eviscerate the value of Section 702.”

Meanwhile, one of the means used to win backing for the reactionary bill is the inclusion of a provision that senators and congressional representatives will be notified if they themselves are the target of the illegal searches of their communications. This exception, providing a heads-up not afforded to the rest of the public, is buried in the language of the legislation.

What neither NSA’s Sullivan nor AG Garland addressed in their comments are provisions in the new law that substantially expand the electronic surveillance authority.

An aspect of the rush to push through the reauthorization is expansion of the definition of the types of service providers that can be compelled to cooperate with the surveillance operation. The new bill adds the phrase “and any other service provider” to the types of companies that must cooperate under the terms of Section 702.

As pointed out by advocates of the Fourth Amendment’s prohibition against unreasonable searches and seizures, this description means that anyone with access to a Wi-Fi router, server or phone equipment can be required to assist US government spying. While the amendment excludes from the requirement dwellings and restaurants, it is likely that a wide range of entities that provide wireless services or have access to the data being transmitted from mobile devices across networks will be compelled to cooperate with the dragnet.

The inclusion of the broader definition of service providers into the Section 702 legislation is no doubt a response to a 2014 challenge by an anonymous American tech company that challenged demands by the US government that it hand over records under the terms of the previous law. In court documents released to the ACLU and the Electronic Freedom Foundation in 2017, a judge ruled in favor of the company when it argued in court that it did not qualify as an “internet service provider” and need not comply with the Section 702 order.

In a statement at the time, the ACLU said the anonymous tech company that made the challenge “should be commended for defending its users’ privacy, and other companies must do the same by fighting for critical reforms to Section 702 in the courts and in Congress.” In his decision, the judge did not rule on the constitutionality of warrantless surveillance but said that the matter of what kind of firms must comply with it is a matter for Congress to resolve. This has now been done.

Section 702 was originally passed in 2008 and was, from the beginning, a fig leaf created for the purpose of covering up an important aspect of the apparatus of undemocratic state repression utilized by the Bush administration after the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. Seven years later, when the public became aware of the secret spying, the US government passed a law that justified the assault on democratic rights by the intelligence agencies in the context of aggressive imperialist wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

It is a measure of the further collapse of democratic forms of rule in the US, under conditions of expanding militarism raising the threat of a third world war, that representatives of both parties in Congress and President Biden now openly argue that the guarantees enshrined in the Bill of Rights cannot get in the way of the requirements of the military-intelligence state.

A Political Impeachment?

“To a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail,” goes the old adage.  For Senator Chuck Schumer, the Democrat Senate majority leader, the nation’s issues brought before the Senate are first and foremost political “nails” rather than weighty ones demanding considered actions in the national interest — especially in this election year.

Among Senator Schumer’s recent “nails” to hammer was making the impeachment of Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas disappear.  The House delivered articles of impeachment and announced in the well of the Senate two articles, charging Mayorkas with “willfully subverting immigration laws by refusing to carry out enforcement laws,” while “breaching the public trust by lying to and obstructing Congress.”  The House was right to expect that the Senate would carry out its moral and constitutional duty to convene a trial to, at minimum, deliberate over the issues brought before it.

Instead, Schumer and fellow Democrats moved quickly to dismiss the charges.  Democrats — who control the Senate — exonerated a public official without holding a trial or even reviewing evidence.  On a party-line vote, Democrat senators voted without dissent to dismiss the two counts, inexplicably arguing that they were “unconstitutional” to thereby deprive House impeachment managers from airing their case.

Democrats’ response to a Mayorkas impeachment trial was predictably political, rather than treated as a significant issue for the American public deserving attention and action.  Why?  The House impeachment of Secretary Mayorkas marked only the second time in U.S. history a seated Cabinet secretary (and Democrat) would be tarred with that ignominy.  Senator Schumer further did not want the disastrous border policies, or a Cabinet secretary of the Biden Democrat White House, so visibly exposed in a very public trial.  Nor did he want Senate Democrats campaigning for election this fall having to explain why they voted against impeachment while the border situation simmers as voters’ most important national issue.

But for a moment, ignore the controversial issue of immigration; forget the politics of the Senate.  Instead, consider that Secretary Mayorkas heads the Department of Homeland Security — with emphasis on “security.”

Under what circumstances are upwards of ten million migrants illegally crossing our borders, mostly unimpeded and unvetted (with many single males of military age from countries with interests inimical to ours), considered acceptable for “homeland security” and not an acute security threat?  As Americans, wouldn’t even Democrat senators want an honest answer to that question?

A Senate impeachment trial would have shed further light on what the Biden administration has allowed to occur at our nation’s southern border.  As many as 10 million people have been reported illegally entering the U.S. since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, with nearly 1.6 million known “gotaways“ and hundreds of thousands of inadmissible aliens now granted parole into the country every month.  In fiscal 2023 alone, there were more than 3.2 million illegal border crossings nationwide, a total that approximates the annual number of U.S. births.  December 2023 alone saw more than 300,000 migrant border “encounters — an average of 10,000 per day, the highest monthly total ever recorded.  Most enter believing U.S. borders are “open” and remain with scant fear of deportation.

We’re told that those entering illegally are “vetted” before being released into communities.  But they are, in fact, released after minimal “processing.”  This means taking photos and fingerprints, entering unverifiable names and birth dates, running these data through U.S. law enforcement and immigration databases, and creating an immigration file if none exists.  It should further entail ensuring that each unknown migrant isn’t a known terrorist and doesn’t have a criminal record, contagious disease, or prior immigration violation.  But often, the sheer numbers overwhelming border authorities make all this impossible.  For release into the country, all that many get is a token “notice to appear” at an immigration court hearing — often years in the future — to argue why they shouldn’t be deported for being here illegally.

Maybe more importantly, it is military-aged single males who have crossed U.S. borders in alarming numbers over the past years.  In one example, nationwide encounters with Chinese migrants — again, most of whom are young, single males of military age — experienced a remarkable surge, reaching 52,700 in 2023, almost twice the previous year’s count.  The Senate was already briefed by no less than FBI director Christopher Wray “that dangerous individuals have entered the United States illegally at the southern border.”

Also of concern is the issue of fentanyl, along with other illicit drugs and substances, entering the country through porous borders in large quantities.  Investigators for a U.S. House committee recently released a report detailing what they describe as new evidence the Chinese government continues to “directly” subsidize “the manufacturing and export of illicit fentanyl.”  Street fentanyl has driven a devastating surge in fatal overdoses, killing tens of thousands of people in the U.S every year.  FBI director Wray also had earlier briefed the Senate that “the FBI alone seized enough fentanyl in the last two years to kill 270 million people.”

To put a figure on the national security implications, costs to the American taxpayer for the influx of migrants, taking into account factors like emergency medical care, incarcerating illegal aliens in local jails, and federal budgets that dole out billions in welfare every year, a FAIR study estimated the net annual amount at $150.7 billion.

Given the extraordinary consequences of unsecured borders, remarkably, on more than one occasion in oath-sworn testimony before Congress, secretary of Homeland “Security” Mayorkas vocally testified that the “borders are secure.”  As Americans, why was all this not enough to prompt even one Democrat senator to break ranks and demand that an impeachment trial of Secretary Mayorkas proceed?

Secretary Mayorkas’s trial needed to go forward, if for no other reason than to get an under-oath answer to the lead question that begs for an answer: “Secretary Mayorkas, what orders did you receive from President Biden regarding border security and immigration?”  The duty and responsibility of the Senate to conduct an impeachment trial was not about politics, but is — and very much should be — a bipartisan issue of valid and grave national security concern for all American citizens.

Secretary Mayorkas was willfully and purposefully shielded by Senate Democrats from having to answer to the American people with straight, under-oath answers about the open-borders policies of the Biden administration and their consequences, as well as his actions as head of “Homeland Security.”  Given what transpired, it is now essential for Republican senators and candidates to take the issue on the November campaign trail committed and equipped with fresh ammunition against incumbent and prospective Democrat candidates in every election race — not just the Senate — not to let voters forget who kept Homeland Security secretary Mayorkas in office.  There, now it is political.

JOE BIDEN IS A NEO-FASCIST. HE IS THE GREATEST DANGER AMERICA HAS EVER FACED.

Garland also claimed falsely that the new law ensures “the protection of Americans’ privacy and civil liberties,” and the intelligence agencies and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will “continue to uphold our commitment to protect the rights of all Americans.”

Joe Biden Welcomes 110,000 H-1B ‘Fly-in Migrants’ for 2024 College Grad Jobs

President Joe Biden is opening the nation’s airports to hundreds of thousands of white collar migrants who want the jobs and careers needed by hard pressed and indebted U.S. graduates.

On April 30, for example, Biden’s pro-migration border chief announced the selection of 120,603 requests by companies, universities, and research centers to import roughly 110,000 white-collar H-1B workers for jobs that would otherwise go to American graduates.

“The H-1B program is an essential part of our nation’s immigration system and our economy, and we are committed to implementing the law and helping meet the ever-changing needs of the U.S. labor market,” said a statement from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency within the Department of Homeland Security.

The agency is headed by Alejandro Mayorkas, a Cuban-born, pro-migration zealot who has cut open new regulatory pathways for foreign graduates to get jobs in the United States via the J-1, TN, O-1, B-1/B-2, OPT, CPT, and other visa programs.

Many of the programs are riddled with fraud, partly because they allow foreigners to move out of their poor home countries and into the United States. For example, roughly half of the 780,000 applications for the H-1B visas in 2024 were deemed fraudulent.

This 2024 rush of fly-in migrants is pushing many American graduates out of white-collar jobs, professional careers, good homes, marriages, and families, said Kevin Lynn, founder of the U.S. Tech Workers advocacy group.

“The door is wide open to the [presidential] candidate that can articulate that message effectively to the college-graduate voters,” he said, adding:

They’re the ones that are being injured by high levels of immigration … they’re fighting a serious headwind [of peer pressure] that is slowing their recognition that they’re being injured by immigration.

For example, Trump’s poll support among white college graduates lags behind President Joe Biden’s support, according to an April poll by NBC.

In 2020, “Trump did connect the dots with the Tennessee Valley Authority” when it tried to boost executives’ pay by replacing Americans with foreign white-collar contractors, Lynn said. “He saved 200 [technology] jobs that would have been outsourced and then eventually offshored.”

Any pushback is also good for the nation, he said, because imported workers are less innovative and productive than American professionals, despite complaints by stock-funded investors, said:

One of the reasons we’re seeing lags in innovation and productivity is that we’ve thrown overboard the skilled American professionals who are capable of making those leaps … We threw overboard the professionals who would push back against management — that would strive for excellence — when the plans pushed by executives were flawed.

This fly-in white-collar inflow is in addition to the huge inflow of illegal southern migrants across the southern border, and the annual arrival of roughly 1 million legal immigrants.

The vast inflow is also backed by the Department of State, which uses its embassies to encourage many Indian graduates to enroll in U.S. colleges where they can get jobs via the huge, lobbyist-created “Optional Practical Training” and Curricular Practical Training” programs.

U.S. employers keep a white-collar workforce of roughly 1.5 million foreign contract workers in jobs and careers needed by American graduates. That foreign population is roughly twice the annual output of skilled technology graduates from the nation’s science, business, engineering, and healthcare universities.

This army of cheap contract workers provides investors with a submissive and disposable workforce, and it also minimizes the number of American professionals who might disagree with C-Suite decisions or convert their experience into new companies. Many of these workers are unskilled but get their jobs via bribes and ethnic favoritism that leave American professions without opportunities and protections from federal civil rights legislation.

Overall, Mayorkas is welcoming more migrants each year than the number of Americans who are graduating from K-12 schools.

“Here is a brutal fact for the college class of 2024: There aren’t enough college-level jobs out there for all of you,” New York Times columnist Peter Coy wrote April 29:

Fifty-two percent of college grads are underemployed a year after graduation, meaning they are working in jobs that don’t require the degrees they earned, according to a February report by the Burning Glass Institute, which analyzes the job market, and the Strada Institute for the Future of Work.

Five years out from school, about 88 percent of those who are underemployed are “severely” underemployed, the report said. These are the top five jobs they’re doing: information and record clerk, supervisor of sales, retail sales worker, sales representative in services, and secretary and administrative assistant.

“Even a decade after graduation, 45 percent of graduates are underemployed,” the report said.

Government data shows the underemployment problem is especially true for U.S. graduates who earn technology degrees — and is even worse among older tech-trained grads.

On APril 21, Aol.com reported the case of a discarded — almost penniless — biology PhD:

One hundred and twenty-three days. That’s how long 30-year-old Geena Ildefonso says it took her to find a new job, despite having a doctorate in biology and nine years of work experience.

She had spent months chronicling her job hunting experience on TikTok, often sharing her most frustrated moments.

“This feeling of being unemployed and applying to a job and retailing your resume, getting rejected and then seeing the job reposted literally two weeks later is demoralizing,” she said in a clip posted Feb. 28. In the same video, she revealed her savings account had a negative balance.

“Underemployed graduates are the inconvenient truth of globalization,” Lynn said. “They can’t get married — they don’t have enough money even with two incomes.”

Federal data shows that white-collar salaries are slipping amid Biden’s inflation, even as state regulations help the least-paid workers keep pace with inflation.

However, business leaders and Democrats show little concern about Americans’ inability to get married and have children. The missing American children can be replaced by more migrants, according to Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

Extraction Migration

Since at least 1990, the federal government has relied on Extraction Migration to grow the consumer economy after it helped investors move the high-wage manufacturing sector to lower-wage countries.

The migration policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries. The additional workers, consumers, and renters push up stock values by shrinking Americans’ wages, subsidizing low-productivity companies, boosting rents, and spiking real estate prices.

The economic policy has pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors, reduced Americans’ productivity and political clout, slowed high-tech innovation, shrunk trade, crippled civic solidarity, and incentivized government officials and progressives to ignore the rising death rate of discarded,low-status Americans.

The policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors and government agencies with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers. Similar migration policies have damaged citizens and economics in Canada and the United Kingdom.

The colonialism-like policy has damaged small countries and has killed hundreds of Americans and thousands of migrants, including many on the taxpayer-funded jungle trail through the Darien Gap in Panama.

Big Tech Writes Its Ticket to the White House

Silicon Valley's allies are filling up the Biden administration. A big payoff is sure to follow.

Washington Free Beacon Editors - DECEMBER 23, 2020 6:10 PM

Silicon Valley played an integral role in propelling Joe Biden to the White House. He raked in uncounted millions from liberal tech billionaires such as Netflix's Reed Hastings, LinkedIn's Reid Hoffman, and Apple heiress Laurene Powell Jobs; their employees shelled out $5 million more.

As Biden takes office, the techies want what they paid for. Reuters reports that executives at top firms like Amazon, Google, Facebook, and Microsoft are gunning for jobs at the Departments of Defense, State, Justice, and Commerce and also eyeing influential posts at the Federal Trade Commission and beyond.

They want two things: lucrative federal contracts and less scrutiny than they’ve gotten over the past four years, as President Donald Trump has made their bias against conservatives front-page news. The Department of Justice's antitrust inquiry into big tech has already garnered bipartisan backing, including from a group of state attorneys general who have filed their own suit.

A Biden administration could make all of that go away. And it could ignore altogether these firms' obsequious dealings with Communist China.

That explains the rush to fill seats: It’s unlikely that the techies moving into the Biden administration will check their business relationships at the door. Each hire is another pressure point for Silicon Valley’s most powerful to exploit.

This is hardly a problem unique to Democrats—you just hear about it less when they’re in the White House. This sort of revolving door was considered outrageous in the George W. Bush administration, when Democrats and the media harped relentlessly on Dick Cheney’s ties to Halliburton and charged that he was in the pocket of Big Oil. They raised the same ruckus when Trump appointed Exxon chief Rex Tillerson as his first secretary of state.

These unseemly connections aren’t new for Democrats. Google employees averaged a meeting a week with that Obama White House, influencing a president who "routinely pushed policy that pleased the tech-savvy."

Now think what happens with those same lobbyists running the show. After rolling out transition teams free of connections to big tech, Team Biden added several Facebook executives over the Thanksgiving holiday. The transition team "has already stacked its agency review teams with more tech executives than tech critics," Reuters notes, including "several officials from Big Tech companies, which emerged as top donors to the campaign."

Their influence doesn’t stop there. Biden on Tuesday named as an economic adviser Joelle Gamble, who last worked as an investor under eBay founder Pierre Omidyar, funneling funding to outfits run by other Biden appointees. Others may soon follow, like Mark Zuckerberg’s philanthropy chief and former Kamala Harris aide Mike Troncoso.

For just one example of how a problematic connection, consider WestExec, the consultancy cofounded by secretary of state nominee Tony Blinken. The firm helped Google win contracts from the Defense Department and advised Google cofounder Eric Schmidt's philanthropy. Now, Reuters says, Schmidt is making recommendations for personnel in the Biden Defense Department, a textbook example of business relationships shaping government policy.

That’s just the start of the coming horse trading, hidden behind the Obama-era pretext that the White House is merely cultivating a relationship with the smartest people. But if personnel is policy, the Biden White House will be doing everything it can to comfort Silicon Valley’s most comfortable.

Joe Biden’s Parole Pipeline Imports Over 950,000 Foreign Nationals to U.S., Exceeding Population of South Dakota

President Joe Biden’s parole pipeline has released more than 950,000 foreign nationals into the United States since its inception in January 2023 — exceeding the entire population of South Dakota.

Late last week, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released figures for March, showing Biden’s parole pipeline is continuing to release tens of thousands of foreign nationals into the United States interior via the southern border and commercial flights.

From January 2023 through March 2024, more than 950,000 foreign nationals have been released into American communities thanks to Biden’s parole pipeline. The pipeline brings foreign nationals to the U.S. through the administration’s “CBP One” mobile app and “humanitarian parole.”

For perspective, more foreign nationals have arrived in the United States on parole under Biden than there are people living in the state of South Dakota.

The CBP One app, whereby those in northern Mexico schedule appointments at the border for release into the United States interior, has brought more than 547,000 foreign nationals into the country. Those arriving via CBP One are primarily from Venezuela, Haiti, and Mexico.

Likewise, about 404,000 nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela have arrived in the United States on humanitarian parole during the same 15-month period. Those securing humanitarian parole fly into the United States via commercial flights after getting approval from DHS to enter the country.

Specifically, DHS has allowed about 84,000 Cubans, 154,000 Haitians, 69,000 Nicaraguans, and 95,000 Venezuelans to fly to the United States and secure humanitarian parole.

Those getting parole under Biden have a massively high success rate if they apply for the immigration benefit. Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL), during a hearing last week, said DHS is approving parole for more than 97 percent of applicants.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas argued that despite the high approval rate, “those [parole] cases are received on an individualized basis.”

Biden Taps Liberal Billionaire’s Acolyte for Top Econ. Job

Incoming Biden adviser's last project said capitalism 'fundamentally broken'

Charles Fain Lehman - DECEMBER 21, 2020 4:40 PM

President-elect Joe Biden announced Monday that he will appoint Joelle Gamble, who previously worked as a principal at the social-change investment firm funded by liberal billionaire Pierre Omidyar, as a top economic adviser.

Gamble, who left her role at the Omidyar Network (ON) to work on domestic economic policy for the Biden-Harris transition team, will serve as special assistant to the president for economic policy, a job on the National Economic Council.

That role may be informed by her previous work as a principal at the network's "reimagining capitalism" project, an Elizabeth Warren-esque endeavor that maintains that "capitalism can still be a powerful force for good" but that "the current form of capitalism is fundamentally broken."

Gamble's appointment means that an economic progressive will have the president's ear as he seeks to revitalize the post-COVID economy. It also forges a connection between the Biden administration and Omidyar, who has funneled millions to left-leaning activist groups, including those run by other Biden appointees, and is a major funder of groups opposed to President Donald Trump.

Neither the Biden Transition Team nor the Omidyar Network responded to requests for comment.

Gamble joined the Omidyar Network last June, following her graduation from Princeton's graduate program in economics. In that role, she was a frequent public commentator on what she saw as the injustices and inequities of capitalism, writing in the left-wing magazine Dissent, for example, that "our measure of economic security is based on white economic security." Reporting her involvement with the Biden transition in October, the Washington Examiner described her as "represent[ing] the left wing of the Democratic Party within Biden's economic team."

She honed those positions at ON, a social-change investor that operates as both an LLC and a 501(c)3 nonprofit, allowing it to invest in both for-profit and non-profit ventures.

ON operates several major projects across its portfolio of over $100 million in outstanding grants. That includes Gamble's "reimagining capitalism," which aims to restructure capitalist society around principles that include "an explicitly anti-racist and inclusive economy" and "rebalanc[ing] the relationship between markets, governments, and communities."

Under that aegis, "reimagining capitalism" has given grants to a number of influential left-leaning groups, including those with connections to the incoming administration. Contributions include $500,000 to the Roosevelt Institute, where Gamble worked for five years before matriculating at Princeton, as well as $700,000 to the Center for American Progress, run by Biden OMB nominee Neera Tanden, and $1.5 million to the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, led by Heather Boushey, a Biden nominee to serve on the Council of Economic Advisers.

The whole affair is funded by eBay cofounder Pierre Omidyar, whose net worth Forbes estimates to be in excess of $20 billion. Omidyar is one of a group of Silicon Valley billionaires who have increasingly flexed their financial muscle in the political arena since Donald Trump's ascent to the presidency.

ON is not Omidyar's only charitable venture. Through Democracy Fund Voice, he has given extensively to activist groups including the Proteus Action League, Sixteen Thirty Fund, and the Tides Foundation, the primary sponsor of Black Lives Matter. He also has a history of financial support for Democrats, including generous donations to the DSCC and DCCC in the early 2000s and contributions to both Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) and then-senator Harry Reid (D., Nev.) in 2008. His media company, First Look Media, is the primary backer of the left-wing investigative outlet The Intercept.

Omidyar has also been a generous backer specifically of opponents of Trump. He was the primary funder of NeverTrump PAC, later Never Means Never PAC, dropping $250,000 over the 2016 cycle. He also backed the anti-Trump "Not Who We Are" PAC, alongside fellow Silicon Valley billionaires Dustin Moskovitz, Cari Tuna, and Christopher Hughes. Through Democracy Fund Voice, he has given over half-a-million dollars to support Stand Up Republic, a group that organizes Republicans critical of the president.

Techies like Omidyar have flocked to Biden, with a Wired investigation finding that 95 percent of contributions from tech employees went to the Democratic nominee. They are in turn already enjoying outsized influence in the transition, which has drawn on Silicon Valley to staff its teams. Gamble's appointment extends these connections from the office to the network of charitable groups funded by top tech execs, further entwining the Biden administration with their wealth.

Democrats Have Deliberately Shattered The Ties Binding America

There has never been a more dangerous time in the world than right now. Moreover, great empires can end quickly, as the Soviet Union’s abrupt collapse showed. The lesson we should take away from this monumental historical moment is that nothing is assured and countries must be held together by more than the brute force of government power. In America, under Democrat leadership, we are intentionally splinter ourselves along artificially created fault lines, whether cultural or financial. That must change if we are to survive.

We Americans require leaders who can communicate a simple, understandable, and compelling message that strikes at the heart of our primary divisions and challenges us, much as President Kennedy did in his famous “Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You “speech. Our leaders must stop pandering to the partisan interests that are so prevalent today.

Our country is shot through with millions of people who do not wish our nation well or, even worse, do not understand what is in their best interest or that of the country. With shouts of “Death to America“ echoing on American campuses, we can no longer be patient with those elements that seek to destroy us and show no loyalty to their mother country.

Rampant illegal immigration also destroys American cohesion. A gold rush is going on, with illegal immigrants rushing to stake a claim before the border closes. Many, if not most, of the people coming here, have no interest or understanding of what it means to be an American and the responsibilities that go with it. They come here for the freebies. Dedication to the rule of law is an afterthought or goes out the window entirely when they storm our borders with no thought of doing it the right way. It is all downhill from there.

America is imperfect, but that’s not expected of any human institution. Still, America has done so much good in this world, especially because of its extraordinary contributions to winning WWII and preventing the spread of communism in the decades after. Those accomplishments saved the world and led to the most extraordinary drop in world poverty in history. We can’t continue helping the world prosper if we are overrun!

To continue the good we’ve done to date, America must return to its creative roots in engineering, computer science, infrastructure, medicine, agriculture, manufacturing, and most importantly, financial discipline. Consumerism, by itself, does not make an economy. One also needs a government with fiscal discipline, which America completely lacks.

Did you know that America creates a trillion dollars in debt every 100 days? It’s not that we don’t pay enough taxes; our country collects more taxes than any other nation. It’s how we spend it that is broken and must be reformed.

You must now ask yourself what allowed this disconnect between expectations and available resources. The Founders understood that there would be a day when the electorate would figure out they could vote themselves other peoples’ money. That day has arrived and expanded to include border crossers.

The current path is not sustainable and ends badly. Good leadership lays out essential priorities, making decisions less politically and more pragmatically.

To start America’s recovery, here’s an excellent first step: Have the President regularly talk to the American people about the realities of unlimited wants versus limited resources. It may take a while, but eventually, the argument’s logic can convince enough people that the nation’s living within its means is in everyone’s best interest. It is only through enlarging the pie that great accomplishments (now scarce) will once again become common.

The Democrats, with their hard left base, see squeezing the rich as the appropriate and/or populist path. However, if you confiscated the wealth of the top 1%, you would be back to where we are today in about ten years, and then what? Remember that a substantial portion of the wealth of the top 1% is invested. Spend it, and there would be little investment, leading to a likely even shorter period before we are broke again!

Two generations of leftist media, a broken education system, and a corrupt government that protects itself at all costs have brought us to this day. By and large, our youth have lost their ability to look rationally at what is required of them to shape their own future. They feel simultaneously entitled and angry.

Ask them, and they’ll tell you that the Baby Boomers were the last generation to make it. They feel justified to malinger and complain about the remaining scraps. Biden told them they were entitled to abandon their student debt obligations.

15% of Americans want to leave our country. Never before have so many been so disenchanted that they effectively see the American Dream as dead.

The clock is ticking down our remaining time, however much that is. There is time left to make a difference. How many of my readers and millions more understand that their future is tied to a thriving America?

The time to dither is over. There are too many ways to step wrong and fail or wind up in a defensive war we are unprepared to fight. We must have better leaders. We must stop destroying the best of us and promote them to leadership positions instead. Everyone is legally equal, but those who wage war on us using Equity as their weapon will only succeed in destroying everything and everybody.

Who will fight for the values that our forefathers fought so valiantly for, risking everything in the process? If not you, then who? The blood of an untold number of patriots waits for your answer.

God Bless America.

Breitbart Business Digest: Biden’s Noncompete Ban Is a Gift to Silicon Valley

JOHN CARNEY

Biden’s FTC Moves to Protect Apple, Google, Meta, and Microsoft with a Ban on Noncompetes

The Biden administration’s declaration that it will treat almost all noncompete provisions in employment agreements as illegal should be seen for what it is: sectional warfare and a giveaway to his wealthy supporters in Silicon Valley.

The Biden appointees Federal Trade Commission voted Tuesday to ban noncompete agreements for virtually all employees, from the hourly wage workers to the most senior company executives. The vote was strictly partisan, with the commission’s three Democrats favoring the ban and the two Republicans opposing it.

When the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) first began mulling a rule against noncompetes, many expected that it would be structured to cover only lower paid workers or at least stop at the c-suite.

Most of the political rhetoric against the provisions has been directed at the fact that in recent years they’ve been sometimes applied to some people who work as custodial staff, or sandwich shop workers, or security guards. For these workers, noncompetes are basically irrational products of over-lawyering—even if they are rarely enforced and possibly unenforceable in most circumstances. If the FTC banned only these noncompetes, there would likely be few objections and no negative economic impact.

But Biden’s FTC decided to adopt a maximalist stance on noncompetes, barring them even for senior executives. You might not think that Tim Cook needs protection from the FTC against Apple unfairly asking him to wait several months before leaving to run a different tech giant, but the FTC does.

Actually, Cook was already protected from the burden of a noncompete provision in his employment agreement by a law that has been on the books in California for 150 years. The Golden State has long had one of the strictest rules against the provisions, and last year Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a pair of additional laws further cracking down on noncompetes.

This is one reason that Silicon Valley is not up in arms about the FTC rule. It has been operating under a bar on noncompete agreements from the start. Microsoft, although based in Washington, said last year that it would voluntarily stop enforcing noncompete agreements. Which means that by adopting the rule, the FTC was not risking politically alienating the big Biden tech sector donors.

Californication of Noncompetes Is a War on Texas, Michigan, and Pennsylvania

To the contrary, the FTC is delivering a huge gift to Silicon Valley and Microsoft because the rule amounts to a Californication of the rest of the country. States hoping to attract innovative companies with laws that are more permissive when it comes to contractual noncompetes will now be barred from doing so by the power of the federal government.

Texas is probably the most prominent victim of the FTC’s Californication rule. Noncompetes are generally enforceable under Texas law, so companies that consider the provisions important had reason to locate there instead of neighboring California. The same is true for Pennsylvania and Michigan, states that also would very much like to break California’s hold on tech start-ups and have the higher education firepower to make that a realistic goal. Wisconsin is slightly stricter about noncompetes, but it too is far more permissive than California—or it was until the FTC declared this week that this is now illegal.

In other words, the FTC’s new rule against noncompetes is itself anticompetitive. Its effect—a cynic could even say its goal—is to make it harder for the 47 states that allow contractual noncompetes to compete with California for jobs, investment, and innovation. It also makes it harder for smaller tech companies to protect themselves and their intellectual property from predation by Apple, Meta, Google, and Microsoft.

The Vaporware of a Noncompete Ban

The fact that California has long banned noncompetes is also a reason why the alleged benefits—thousands of more patents, an explosion of innovation, lots and lots of jobs—of a nationwide ban touted by the FTC are likely to turn out to be vaporware. Employees seeking to escape the grip of a noncompete to found their own companies already had the option of moving to a state that would not enforce the provision. And states that believed they were losing out on innovative companies could change their laws.

The nationwide ban is more likely to stymie innovation and investment by preventing states from experimenting with different legal treatments of noncompetes and banning companies from seeking the right legal regime for their business. We’ve had terrific success in developing technology in this country with a federalist approach to contractual noncompetes. Adopting a one-size-fits all model is a risky experiment, at best.

The silver lining here is that the FTC’s rule is held up by the slimmest legal thread. It’s very likely that the federal courts will put the rule on hold and eventually strike it down as overreaching the commission’s statutory authority. If the federal government is going to ban noncompetes, it likely requires actual legislation rather than agency fiat.

That likely does not matter to Biden and his apparatchiks in the federal regulatory bureaucracy. The goal of keeping Donald Trump out of the White House overrides any concerns about the long-term economic effects of their policies or their legality. They think the noncompete ban is a political winner—and that’s all that counts for this administration.

Conclusion

There you have it – the Democratic Party in all its totalitarian glory. Whatever obstacles its members may face, their instinctive response is always the same: iron-fisted thuggery. (BELOW)

Has Our Government Erased the First Amendment?

By Clarice Feldman

The most important thing you will see this week is this interview of Mike Benz by Tucker Carlson: Benz is with the Foundation for Freedom, which tracks government censorship. In this interview he explains how our government rigged elections abroad and has now, through DHS (Department of Homeland Security) and CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency), censored online communications, noting that its most substantial censorship involved blocking and limiting any critiques online respecting the government’s responses to COVID-19 and the security of the 2020 election.

Rep. Andy Ogles Introduces Articles of Impeachment Against Biden, Harris: ‘They Have Mired Office in Criminal Activity, Political Weaponization’

AMY FURR

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) introduced articles of impeachment Monday against President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing them of poorly handling their leadership roles.

The articles accuse Biden of “weaponizing” the presidency in an effort to “shield the business and influence peddling schemes of his family from congressional oversight and public accountability,” Fox News reported Monday.

In a social media post on Monday, Ogles said Biden and Harris have “refused to protect and defend the Constitution.”

“They have mired their office in criminal activity and political weaponization. It is time their corruption be brought to task with the full force of the law,” he added:

IMG_267

The documents also claim the president has acted in a “manner contrary to the public trust and subversive of constitutional government, to the great prejudice of the cause of law and justice and to the manifest injury of the people of the United States” in regard to how he has dealt with the crisis at the southern border.

In February, Ogles yelled, “It’s your fault,” at Biden during the State of the Union Address when he was speaking about fentanyl deaths, according to Breitbart News.

IMG_268

Ogles later said he was one of those who shouted at Biden regarding the issue.

“He has left our border wide open and allowed our streets to be flooded with drugs; meanwhile, 60% of women and children are raped trying to cross. Yes, it’s his fault,” he stated.

According to WKRN, Ogles said in a statement Monday, “Joe Biden hasn’t just failed the American people with his abysmal excuse for ‘leadership,’ he’s violated his sworn oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

“Joe Biden has repeatedly abused his position of power, both as vice president and president, to cover up his illicit family business dealings and exploitation of taxpayer resources,” he concluded:

IMG_269

Punishments attached to an official impeachment are removal from office and a possible ban from serving in the government, the WKRN report said.

The impeachment articles regarding Harris target her performance as vice president and how she has dealt with issues at the nation’s southern border, per the Fox report.

The documents accuse her of exhibiting “extraordinary incompetence” regarding her responsibilities at the border.

After Biden named Harris the “Border Czar” in 2021, she faced mounting criticism from Republicans due to her lack of effort and hesitancy in visiting the border to assess the situation, Breitbart News reported in May.

Elon Musk’s Twitter Censors ALIPAC Ad on Documentation of Noncitizen Voters Citing ‘Hate Speech’

Americans For Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) has withdrawn support for Elon Musk’s X/Twitter after the platform censored its ad promoting a new website and forum section aimed at documenting noncitizen and illegal migrant voters.

On April 17, ALIPAC launched a press release announcing the creation of NonCitizenVoters.com, a website dedicated to collecting documentation of noncitizen and illegal migrant voters. The purpose of the site is to assist media, lawmakers, candidates, and voters in addressing this acknowledged national issue. However, the X/Twitter ad promoting the press release and information, which quickly gained 44,000 views, was censored and halted by Elon Musk’s company.

William Gheen, spokesman for ALIPAC, said in a post: “Today we are releasing Twitter’s emails to us declaring that felony-committing noncitizen and illegal migrant voters are a ‘protected group’ on X and promoting documentation and sources proving we have a system-wide problem with this form of election fraud is considered ‘hate speech / hateful content’ which they will block!”

The release and post was flooded by comments on both X/Twitter and Facebook, claiming that anyone concerned about the issue of illegal migrant voters was lying and a racist. ALIPAC notified a national network of activists and encouraged them to respond to the trolls with links and source citations.

ALIPAC believes that many of the commenters are online trolls, referring to them as “China Trolls” or “Laughing Trolls.” According to ALIPAC, these trolls are hired by unknown paymasters and attack people in groups, use the same language, and target accounts that have low visibility and are shadowbanned, such as @ALIPAC. These trolls also appear to have a poor understanding of basic English and the issues at hand, according to ALIPAC. They respond very quickly to certain content, which suggests that they are searching platforms to find targeted content about immigration, Ukraine, and other related topics.

When ALIPAC contested the censorship of their ad by X/Twitter and inquired why it was censored, Twitter initially stated: “Our team manually reviewed your content and confirmed that it violates our Hateful Content policy…Hate speech or advocacy against a protected group, individual, or organization.” However, when asked where it was written that people of many races violating American election laws and committing felonies by voting as noncitizens are a protected group, Twitter changed its stance and claimed that the ad was targeting countries not permitted for advertising Political Content.

ALIPAC, a registered Political Action Committee, responded by citing a recent article in the Guardian stating that Twitter allows U.S. political candidates and parties to advertise. They asked for clarification on whether the current Twitter / X Political Content Policy prohibits their political advertising in the United States or if a change needs to be made to allow their ads to run only in the United States.

Twitter did not respond and instead reiterated their claim that the ad violates their “Hate Speech” rules.

DEMOCRAT PARTY NEO-FASCISM: FIRST BLOCK FREE SPEECH UNDER THE GUISE OF 'MISINFORMATION'

The city's Measure A, which passed with 53% support, mandates voter ID for local elections, but state officials claim it disenfranchises vulnerable groups and contradicts California's election laws. Huntington Beach argues the measure is legal under its charter city status and aligns with the will of its voters. The state is also considering a bill that would prevent cities from creating local voter ID laws Huntington Beach Mayor Gracey Van Der Mar defended the city's decision to implement voter identification requirements for local elections during a recent interview. Van Der Mar cited concerns from constituents about election integrity and unverified reports of some voters being told they had already voted. While a majority of Huntington Beach voters approved a ballot measure requiring photo IDs to vote in person, the state of California is suing to block the measure. Mrs. Van Der Mar questioned why the state is fighting so aggressively against a policy supported by residents. She argued that IDs are required for many other activities and questioned if opposing voter ID implies a lack of respect for voters. Supporters argue voter ID increases security and participation by instilling faith in the election process. However, others argue such policies can disproportionately impact certain groups' ability to vote. As a former resident of a low-income minority community, Mrs. Van Der Mar found suggestions that such communities cannot obtain IDs to be offensive. Going forward, Mrs. Van Der Mar pledged to honor voters' wishes while continuing to advocate for election security and integrity. However, the legal battle highlights ongoing debates around balancing access, security and citizens' confidence in the democratic process. Insights to Consider Before November

Description automatically generated

Here are some interesting points to think about prior to the November election, especially for my friends on the fence, like moderate Democrats, Libertarians and Independents, Never-Trump Republicans, and those thinking of "walking away" from the Democrat party.

Women are upset at Trump’s naughty words. They also bought 80 million copies of 50 Shades of Gray.

Not one feminist has defended Sarah Sanders. It seems women’s rights only matter if those women are liberal.

No border wall. No voter ID laws. Did you figure it out yet? But wait... there's more.

Chelsea Clinton got out of college and got a job at NBC that paid $900,000 per year. Her mom flies around the country speaking out about white privilege.

And just like that, they went from being against foreign interference in our elections to allowing non-citizens to vote in our elections.

President Trump’s wall costs less than the Obamacare website. Let that sink in, America.

We are one election away from open borders, socialism, gun confiscation, and full-term abortion nationally. We are fighting evil.

They sent more troops and armament to arrest Roger Stone than they sent to defend Benghazi.

Sixty years ago, Venezuela was 4th on the world economic freedom index. Today, they are 179th and their citizens are dying of starvation. In only 10 years, Venezuela was destroyed by "democratic socialism".

Russia donated $0.00 to the Trump campaign. Russia donated $145,600,000 to the Clinton Foundation. But Trump was the one investigated.

Nancy Pelosi invited illegal aliens to the State of the Union. President Trump invited victims of illegal aliens to the State of the Union. Let that sink in.

A socialist is basically a communist who doesn’t have the power to take everything from their citizens at gunpoint... yet.

How do you walk 3000 miles across Mexico without food or support and show up at our border 100 pounds overweight and with a cellphone?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to ban cars, ban planes, give out universal income and she thinks socialism works. She calls Donald Trump crazy.

Bill Clinton paid $850,000 to Paula Jones to get her to go away. I don’t remember the FBI raiding his lawyer’s office.

I wake up every day and I am grateful that Hillary Clinton is not the president of the United States of America.

The same media that told me Hillary Clinton had a 95% chance of winning now tells me Trump’s approval ratings are low.

“The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money”— Margaret Thatcher

Maxine Waters opposes voter ID laws; she thinks that they are racist. You need to have a photo ID to attend her town hall meetings.

President Trump said, "They’re not after me. They’re after you. I’m just in their way."

Now, go back and read this again like your future depends upon it. Because it does.

Perhaps even more, it matters because Mexico's politics seems to be the model for Democratic Party politics these days as rage over Trump dominates.  In California, ballot-harvesting has been adopted as a legal practice, in what's a straight-out cultural appropriation of Mexican politics.  If the Democrats are planning to make themselves the "perfect dictatorship" along the PRI model of one-party rule, starting in California and taking that style national, well, the unhappy question is, what else are they borrowing from Mexican politics as they (without saying so, of course) borrow from the Mexican Model?  Yes, it sounds far-fetched.  But we also know how implacably angry the Democrats still are at the election of Donald Trump and how they like to get away with things.

As in 2016, Democrats advance a corrupt ruling-class candidate. Like the dead man Gary Ernst, Democrats want people to vote for Joe Biden so they can swap him out for Kamala Harris, already a beneficiary of voter fraud and with the exception of Xavier Becerra possibly the worst attorney general in California history.

Kamala Harris Urges Illegal Migrants to Help Elect Joe Biden

NEIL MUNRO

Sen. Kamala Harris promised Sunday to reduce detention space for migrants as she asked an illegal immigrant activist to help Joe Biden win the election.

BLOG EDITOR: WHY DIDN’T LAWYER KAMALA HARRIS TELL THE ILLEGAL TO GO HOME??? SHE’S THE ONE WHO AS ATTORNEY GENERAL OF CA DECLARED THAT NEARLY HALF THE MURDERS IN MEXIFORNIA ARE BY MEX GANGS!

“I’m undocumented … I can’t vote …What can we do during this election to help make sure that we get you elected?” asked Astrid Silva, who was brought into the United States as a child by her illegal migrant parents.

“You can tell people who can vote what life is like for you now, and what life can be like,” Vice President nominee Harris told the Nevada-based political organizer who runs the pro-amnesty Dream Big Nevada group, adding that:

We are committed to shutting down private detention centers and ending policies that have been about separating children from their parents at the border.

Harris’s comments may be a coded message to would-be illegal migrants and their supportive legal-immigrant relatives.

For example, if implemented, Harris’s promise to start “shutting down private detention centers” could cripple border enforcement. If the enforcement agency does not have commercial prisons to hold detainees prior to their asylum hearings, the agency would be forced to release waves of job-seeking migrants into the U.S. labor market.

Similarly, Harris’s promise to end “policies … about separating children” echoes the media-magnified demand by pro-migration activists that officials release migrant mothers and children when they cross the border. That demand would let migrant families freely travel to relatives — including their illegal migrant husbands and fathers — who are working illegally in the United States.

Last week in Nevada, I caught up with my friend @Astrid_NV, to discuss the Biden-Harris plan for immigration reform and how Dreamers can make a difference in this election.

If you're eligible to vote, show up at the ballot box for those who can't: https://t.co/VbrfuqVy9Ppic.twitter.com/knU2qFSYmn

— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) November 1, 2020

Like Biden, Harris pushed the Cold War “Nation of Immigrants” claim, even though only about 10 percent of people in the United States are legal immigrants:

We want to have a president who understands we are a nation of immigrants. This is a country that was built and that has derived its strength from immigrants coming here over the generations.

Harris also tried to blur the legal and civic differences between illegal migrants, legal immigrants, and American citizens. For example, she told Silva:

Define who you are, and you tell the world who you are. Don’t let anybody ever put you in a box because they have a limited perspective on who can do what and who can be one.

[…]

We are all in this together. And so, chin up, shoulders back, right? We speak our truth and know that there will always be people applauding and supporting that even if you can’t see them at that one moment, know that there are so many of us who are supporting your leadership and the power of your voice. It’s really important.

Harris also claimed President Donald Trump vilified immigrants: “We’ve seen under the current president the kind of vitriol, the kind of hate, the vilification of immigrants in such a horrible way.”

But a Washington Post poll showed in April that Latinos are the strongest advocates for a near-total halt to legal immigration during the coronavirus epidemic and economic crash.

Biden’s 2020 plan promises to “reassert America’s commitment to asylum-seekers and refugees,” wipe out Trump’s asylum reforms, bar any deportations for 100 days, and end migration enforcement against illegal aliens unless they commit a felony.

Joe Biden’s asylum and open-border policies will destroy the American middle class by releasing millions of foreign migrants into the United States, Stephen Miller told reporters October 28. https://t.co/BaeLSIud7y

— Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) October 28, 2020

Biden also wants to let companies import more visa workers, let mayors import temporary workers, and allow an unlimited flow of foreign graduates through U.S. universities into white-collar jobs. Biden would “exempt from any cap [the] recent graduates of Ph.D. programs in STEM fields.”

Biden also wants to accelerate the inflow of chain migration migrants and dramatically accelerate the inflow of poor refugees to at least 125,000 per year.

“The influx of low wage workers from all across the world will drive down incomes, drive down wages, deplete the middle class, bankrupt Social Security, bankrupt Medicare, bankrupt Medicaid, bankrupt federal entitlements, overcrowd schools, and overcrowd every hospital in the middle of a pandemic,” White House aide Stephen Miller told reporters on October 28.

“It is an assault on reason, it is an assault on law enforcement, and it’s an assault on the very idea of having a country, having a Republic,” Miller added. “This is not about left or right or Center. This is about between having a country, or not even having a country.”

ZUCKERBERG IS A MAJOR FUNDER OF LA RAZA, AND AN ADVOCATE FOR OPEN BORDERS.

Most of Biden’s 221,000 Vote Margin Gain in Georgia in 3 Counties that Received $15 Million from Zuckerberg-Funded ‘Safe Elections’ Project

MICHAEL PATRICK LEAHY

Most of Joe Biden’s 221,751 vote margin gain in Georgia, compared to Hillary Clinton’s performance in 2016, came from three metropolitan Atlanta counties that received more than $15 million from the Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL) “safe elections” project.

Those three counties — Cobb, Fulton, and Gwinnett–accounted for 168,703 of Biden’s 221,751 vote margin gain, or 76 percent.

In 2016, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in Georgia by 211,141 votes, 2,089,104 to 1,877,963, according to the Georgia Secretary of State’s election website.

With 99 percent of precincts reporting as of 2:00 p.m. Eastern time on Monday, November 9, Democratic nominee Joe Biden was leading Donald Trump by 10,610 votes, 2,466,540 to 2,455,930, according to Real Clear Politics.

This currently represents a 221,751 vote gain in margin of votes cast for Joe Biden over Donald Trump in 2020 compared to the margin of votes cast for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton in 2016.

The $15.8 million in “safe elections” grants these three counties in the Metropolitan Atlanta area–Fulton, Cobb, and Gwinnett- received from CTCL are a little more than four percent of the funding provided by Zuckerberg through CTCL to county and city election departments around the country in 2020.

“Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Tuesday that he and his wife have donated an additional $100 million to a “safe elections” project run by the non-profit Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL), bringing their total contributions to that project to $350 million since September 1,” Breitbart News reported in October.

“Critics say the CTCL project’s grants look a lot more like Democratic “Get-out-the-Vote” (GOTV) efforts in major cities around the country than good government efforts to protect the integrity of the electoral process of all Americans, regardless of their party affiliation,” Breitbart News reported:

An analysis by the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society suggests a [partisan element to the CTCL project]. Since September 1, 2020, the CTCL has made at least $63.7 million in grants to election commissions in 18 counties and two cities for what the CTCL calls the coronavirus “safe elections” project.

More than 99.5 percent of this funding — $63.4 million — went to election commissions in 17 counties and two cities won by Hillary Clinton in 2016. Less than one half of one percent of the funding — a mere $289,000 — went to a county Donald Trump won in 2016, Hays County, Texas, which the president barely won by a margin of 50.4 percent to 49.6 percent.

A significant portion of these grants — more than $13.9 million — went to election commissions in areas Hillary Clinton won with more than 80 percent of the vote. Ten million dollars went to the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, which Clinton won with 84 percent of the vote, $3.5 million went to Wayne County, Michigan, which Clinton won with 96 percent of the vote, and $467,000 went to the election commission in the city of Flint, Michigan, which Clinton won with 84 percent of the vote.

In September, the Rome News-Tribune reported that Cobb County’s Election Department  “was recently awarded a $5.6 million grant from a national nonprofit, the Center for Tech and Civic Life.”

The Center for Tech and Civic Life grant will help pay for:

♦ Almost 700 partitioned, secure voting system carriers to house the 2,258 ballot marking devices and optical scanners at all polling locations

♦ Hazard pay for roughly 2,300 workers at a rate of $100 per worker, per election.

♦ Additional temporary employees who will help prepare, process and tabulate absentee-by-mail ballots.

♦ Ballot mailing

♦ Advertising to promote absentee and early voting. (emphasis added)

Also in September, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported Fulton County’s Election Department received “$6 million in a grant from the Center for Tech and Civic Life.”

In October, the Journal Constitution reported that Gwinnett County commissioners accepted a $4.1 million grant from CTCL “intended to be used for elections security.”

The grant is intended to be used for elections security and also allows the county to use some of the funds to cover costs from the June primary, county spokesman Joe Sorenson said.

“We are currently evaluating where the funds will be sourced to,” Sorenson said.

In the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton received 297,051 votes in Fulton County, compared to 117,783 for Donald Trump, a net vote margin of 179, 268 for Hillary Clinton.

In Cobb County, Hillary Clinton received 160,121 votes compared to 152, 912 for Donald Trump, a net vote margin of 7,209 for Hillary Clinton.

In Gwinnett County, Hillary Clinton received 166,153 votes compared to 146, 989 for Donald Trump, a net vote margin of 19,164 for Hillary Clinton.

In those three counties combined, Hillary Clinton’s net vote margin over Donald Trump was 205,641. (Notably, in the rest of the state of Georgia, Donald Trump’s net vote margin over Hillary Clinton was 416,782.)

In the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden received 379,095 votes in Fulton County, compared to 136,716 for Donald Trump, a net vote margin of 242,379 votes for Joe Biden.

In Cobb County, Biden received 221,746 votes, compared to 165,195 for Donald Trump, a net vote margin of 56,551 votes for Biden.

In Gwinnett County, Biden received 241,827 votes, compared to 166,413 votes for Donald Trump, a net vote margin of 75,414 votes for Biden.

In those three counties combined, Joe Biden’s net vote margin in 2020 over Donald Trump was 374,344, an increase of 168,703 over Hillary Clinton’s net vote margin of 205,641.

That 168,703 vote net margin increase for Biden in 2020 in the three counties that received $15.8 million in grants from the Zuckerberg-funded CTCL was 76 percent of the 221,751 net vote margin improvement for Biden that powered him to a 10,610 vote lead in Georgia with 99 percent of precincts reporting.

Between September 1, 2020 and October 30, 2020, the CTCL contributed more than $16.6 million for “safe elections” in six Georgia counties, as Ballotpedia reported.

All six counties voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. Based on currently available public reports, it appears that no Georgia county that voted for Donald Trump in 2106 received a CTCL grant in 2020.

Breitbart News contacted CTCL and requested a list of all the counties in Georgia that received grants from CTCL in 2020, and specifically asked if CTCL provided grants to any county in the state that Donald Trump won in 2016, but has not yet received a response from CTCL.

In addition to the three metropolitan Atlanta counties of Cobb, Gwinnett, and Fulton, three counties outside of metropolitan Atlanta received CTCL grants in 2020.

Dougherty County, which received a $300,000 grant from CTCL, went overwhelmingly for Joe Biden over Donald Trump in 2020, 69.6 percent to 29.6 percent. Biden’s net margin in the county was 24,579 votes, compared to Trump’s 10,449. a differential of 14,130 votes in favor of Biden.

The Macon-Bibb County Board of Elections, which administers elections for Macon County and Bibb County, received a $557,000 grant from CTCL. Both counties went overwhelmingly for Biden over Trump in 2020.

In Bibb County, Joe Biden received 61.4 percent of the vote to Donald Trump’s 37.6 percent. In terms of vote total, Biden received 43,460 votes while Trump received 26,583 votes, a margin of 16,887 for Biden. In the less populous Macon County, Biden received 2,857 votes compared to Trump’s 1,783, a net vote margin of 1,070 in favor of Biden.
