Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 100 migrants locked in a human smuggling stash house near the Texas border with Mexico. The arrests occurred on the same day Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced plans to secure the state’s border and arrest migrants violating state laws.

Laredo Station Border Patrol agents teamed up with the Laredo Police Department and ICE Homeland Security Investigations on June 10 to investigate a suspected human smuggling stash house, according to information obtained from Laredo Sector officials.

Agents and other law enforcement officials entered the suspected stash house and found more than 100 migrants from Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua, officials reported.  None of the migrants wore any type of personal protection equipment despite more than 100 people being packed inside the single-family home.

A few days earlier, Laredo Sector Chief Patrol Agent Matthew Hudak reported the apprehension of 182 migrants in three stash houses in a two-hour period.

The June 10 stash house raid came on the same day Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced plans to begin the immediate building of border barriers and “mass arrests” of migrants illegally entering Texas and violating state laws, Breitbart Texas reported.

“The influx across the border is out of control, and the Biden Administration has shown that is not going to step up and do its job,” Governor Abbott told Breitbart Texas in a one-on-one interview shortly before the public announcement at his Border Security Summit in Del Rio, Texas, on Thursday. “And amidst reports of even more people coming in across the border, we know we have to step up and do more.”

The governor stated, “If you come to Texas, you’re subject to being arrested. You’re not going to have a pathway to roam the country. You’re going to have a pathway directly into a jail cell.”

Texas, Arizona Governors Call on Peers to Send Resources for Border Surge

DEL RIO, Texas — Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey called on peers to provide assistance in the ongoing migration crisis. The governors called on counterparts to provide law enforcement assistance to help with securing the border and arresting migrants making illegal crossings.

Governors Abbott and Ducey previously declared states of emergency in the border regions. Thursday’s letter calls on fellow governors to help protect the private property and personal safety of those who live along the Texas and Arizona borders with Mexico.

“When it comes to the Biden Administration’s open-border disaster, our greatest need is for additional law enforcement personnel and equipment,” the two border-state governors wrote. The governors said that under the emergency declaration and governors’ compact, these law enforcement officers will have the full legal authority to arrest migrants for illegally entering the United States.

“With your help, we can apprehend more of these perpetrators of state and federal crimes before they can cause problems in your state,” the two governors advised. “Texas and Arizona have stepped up to secure the border in the federal government’s absence, and now, the Emergency Management Assistance Compact gives your State a chance to stand strong with us.”

During a one-on-one interview with Breitbart Texas, Governor Abbott said he anticipates a “high level of participation.”

“I’ll tell you why,” the Texas governor explained. “The immigration issue and the border issue is not just the number one issue of Texas, it’s the number one issue in America. And so all of these other governors, they hear the same concerns that we hear about in Texas.”

During a border summit held on Thursday in Del Rio, Texas, Governor Abbott also announced the creation of the Governor’s Task Force on Border and Homeland Security.

Members of the task force will include the:

  • Office of the Governor
  • Office of the Attorney General of Texas
  • Texas Department of Public Safety
  • Texas Division of Emergency Management
  • Texas Military Department
  • Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
  • Texas Commission on Law Enforcement
  • Texas Commission on Jail Standards

The reason why we are here (Del Rio) is because of the massive increase,” the governor told Breitbart. Border crossings used to be highly “concentrated in the Rio Grande Valley,” he explained. “Now, you know we’re upstream from the Rio Grande Valley in the Del Rio Sector and the Del Rio sector is suffering from some of the largest increases.”

The task force will begin their work by meeting with the Texas Border Sheriffs’ Coalition, county judges, mayors, property rights organizations, concerned citizens, and border-area prosecutors, Governor Abbott announced on Thursday. Those meetings began on Thursday afternoon in multiple breakout sessions during the summit.

The governor pledged the full resources of the State of Texas to stop the lawlessness along the southern border. He said they will use existing state laws along with the authority of the State of Emergency declaration made earlier this month to crack down on those illegally crossing the border can creating havoc along the way.

“What people have seen in videos across the country seems to be the Biden administration welcoming these people to the United States,” Abbott stated. “We won’t be sending that message.”

Instead, the governor said, “If you come to Texas, you’re subject to being arrested. You’re not going to have a pathway to roam the country. You’re going to have a pathway directly into a jail cell.”

Abbott said more details about the State’s plans to secure the Texas border will be announced in the coming days and weeks.

THEY HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA HOW MANY ILLEGALS HAVE CLIMBED THE BORDER TO VOTE DEMOCRAT FOR MORE AND THAT IS PART OF THE BIDEN PLAN

CBP encountered 180,034 illegal immigrants during May compared to 178,854 in April and 173,337 in March. CBP expelled 112,302 individuals under Title 42. May's apprehension numbers bring the total number of those caught this fiscal year to 929,868, with four months left to go, meaning Biden's first months in office is on track to oversee a new record of total apprehensions from the previous recent high of 977,509 apprehensions in fiscal year 2019.

This is bound to get worse. The backlog is going to continue to be logjammed because of Biden’s border crisis. Julio is down there reporting on the chaos right now. Over 180,000 illegals were detained last month that we know about. The total number of detentions since Biden took office has soared to 1 million. The kids are back in the cages Obama built. The concentration camps are back. Families are being separated. And Donald Trump can no longer be blamed, liberal media. This is Joe’s mess, which Kamala Harris made worse. The border is out of control and Democrats are just offering a buffet of issues for Republicans to weaponize against them next year.

While illegal immigrants crossing into the United States reaching historic highs have been the easiest example to see regarding the ongoing border crisis, there is a much darker aspect to the floodgates that were opened in part due to the Biden administration's open-border rhetoric and policies.

Troy Miller, the Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, tweeted his agency has seized more cocaine and fentanyl shipments in eight months for fiscal year 2021 than all of fiscal year 2020.

It is a common tactic for the Mexican cartels to send out family units and unaccompanied minors first so Border Patrol gets bogged down with processing the illegal immigrants who willingly turn themselves in so then the cartels can send those who do not want to be caught, including drug smugglers. That is in addition to smuggling attempts at the various ports of entry along the southwest border.

CBS News reported last week how Border Patrol agents are having a hard time devoting attention to drug interceptions with the large flow of people illegally entering the U.S. on a daily basis.

Do Liberals Know That Biden Is Keeping Illegals Separated from Their Families?

I thought this was evil. I thought only Trump did this, despite being an Obama-era immigration policy. Families detained at the border are separated. This isn’t new. When Trump did it, it was draconian in the extreme. When Democrats do it, it’s ignored. The Guatemalan president said that the surge of migrants at the border is due to Biden’s family reunification promise, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Thousands of kids are still waiting to be reunified with their families (via NY Post):

Only seven migrant kids separated from their families by the Trump Administration’s “zero tolerance program” have been reunited with their relatives since President Joe Biden took office, the task force in charge of reunifications said.

The task force released a 22-page progress report Tuesday during Vice President Kamala Harris’s trip to Central America that shows 2,127 kids are still waiting to be reunified with their families.

The progress report was submitted to Biden last week.

In a call with reporters, a senior DHS official said the Trump administration was to blame for the sluggish process because there’s “numerous errors and misinformation” in data kept by the former POTUS’s staff, NBC News reported.

“No comprehensive interagency system was in place to separate parents and their migrant children,” the official said on the call.

This is bound to get worse. The backlog is going to continue to be logjammed because of Biden’s border crisis. Julio is down there reporting on the chaos right now. Over 180,000 illegals were detained last month that we know about. Texas plans $1bn Trump-style border wall to tackle record migrant surge

Texas has allocated $1 billion in funding for a new border wall amid a surge in illegal migrant crossings, as its governor says the state “will not sit idly by as this crisis grows.”

More than 180,000 people were apprehended by US Customs and Border Protection in May - the most since April 2000.

Governor Greg Abbott blamed Joe Biden for the record crossings, saying: "It is out of control and a change is needed.”

A clearer plan will be revealed next week, but vowing to continue a signature Donald Trump policy, Mr Abbott said: “Some of these border barriers will be built immediately.

“While securing the border is the federal government’s responsibility, Texas will not sit idly by as this crisis grows,” he added.

“Our efforts will only be effective if we work together to secure the border, make criminal arrests, protect landowners, rid our communities of dangerous drugs and provide Texans with the support they need and deserve.”

The move is likely to face legal challenges.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Texas tweeted: “To be clear, this is an attempt to distract from his governing failures while targeting vulnerable immigrants.”

Under Mr Trump, the United States spent around $15 billion on 450 miles of new border wall. The entire border is 1,933 miles long.

However, Mr Biden halted construction, cut off funding and promised "there will not be another foot of wall constructed in my administration.”

The president has been struggling to get a grip on the growing crisis engulfing Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.

In April 2020, just 16,000 people were arrested after crossing the border. In April 2021 it was 178,622.

Vice President Kamala Harris has been charged with addressing the multitude of issues, but has been criticised for her slow response by both Republicans and Democrats.

She has still not visited the southern border.

Instead, Ms Harris flew to Guatemala on Sunday and made a direct appeal to migrants thinking of travelling north, saying: “Do not come. Do not come.”

She then headed to Mexico, where she met with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to work on security collaboration.

"Everything Joe and Kamala have done has sent exactly the opposite message" from Harris's "do not come" remark, Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz told Fox News on Tuesday.

"We've seen in the five months they've been in office, an absolute disaster unfolding at the border with no willingness to fix the problem," Mr Cruz added.

Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn described her trip as a "missed opportunity."

Ms Harris "is avoiding the point of failure in our immigration system, which is at the border," Mr Cornyn told AFP.
