JOE BIDEN - I WILL NEVER ASK MY MINISTER OF PROPAGANDA AND OPEN BORDERS MARK ZUCKERBERG HIRE AN AMERICAN

David Moore to run as the Socialist Equality Party candidate in the California gubernatorial recall election

David Moore will be running as the Socialist Equality Party candidate in the September 14 California gubernatorial recall election. Moore will advance a socialist program to fight against the pandemic, inequality, war and dictatorship through the independent political mobilization of the working class against both the Democrats and Republicans.

David Moore

Moore is a special education teacher in the Oakland Unified School District and has seen firsthand the impact of the pandemic on chronically underfunded schools. He grew up in a farming family in Ventura County and has firsthand knowledge of the harsh conditions facing workers in fields and packing houses across the state forced to work in dangerous conditions confronting mass infections and heat waves.

As a member of the SEP and writer for the World Socialist Web Site, Moore has written on and directly fought in the strikes of teachers, BART workers, nurses, and oil refinery workers. He previously ran as the SEP candidate for Senate in California in 2018.

The recall campaign has been overwhelmingly funded and driven by far-right forces seeking to overturn all public health measures that have not yet been scrapped by the Democratic administration of Governor Gavin Newsom.

For this reason, the SEP calls on California’s voters to vote no on the recall.

At the same time, Newsom and the Democratic Party bear direct responsibility for the catastrophic impact of the pandemic in California and throughout the US. The Democrats are a party of the ruling class, military and intelligence agencies. To fight against the far right and the growth of fascism, workers must organize independently of both big-business parties on the basis of a revolutionary, internationalist and socialist program.

Central components of Moore’s campaign will include:

1. For an internationalist and socialist strategy to eradicate COVID-19!

The election is being held as COVID-19 infections are once again surging in California and across the globe due to the disastrous policies of local, state, and federal governments. The official global death toll is over four million, but a recent report estimates that at least four million people have died in India alone. The real global death toll is likely well over 10 million.

This is a monumental catastrophe for which the ruling classes of all the major countries are responsible, but particularly the United States, long the epicenter of the pandemic. As COVID-19 spread in the first months of 2020, Democrats and Republicans rapidly passed $2.5 trillion in bank bailouts to boost stock prices and support the rich through the CARES Act, while leaving workers and small businesses to suffer under a patchwork of haphazard, local, and utterly insufficient public health and social support measures.

Newsom’s decision to end state requirements to contain the pandemic on June 15 and tie school funding to reopening in person was a reckless effort to try to appease the far-right forces seeking his recall.

COVID-19 can only be eradicated as part of a global strategy, but California’s workers can play a major role by forcing the closure of nonessential businesses and in-person schooling, with compensation to workers and small business owners until the pandemic is contained.

2. For social equality and a massive redistribution of wealth!

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the stock market has reached new record highs despite the massive growth in unemployment and dire conditions facing the working class. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 16 percent from before the pandemic began and is nearly three times higher than before the 2008 economic crisis.

California’s billionaires have made out like bandits, primarily through government handouts and bleeding their workers dry. To name just a few of the state’s richest:

  • Elon Musk, who flouted county health regulations by keeping his Fremont Tesla factory running despite a COVID outbreak, saw his wealth grow from a mere $25 billion to $162 billion since the pandemic began.
  • Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook CEO, has seen his wealth more than double from $55 billion in March 2020 to $125 billion now.
  • Larry Ellison, the Oracle CEO, also saw his wealth double from $59 billion to $114 billion over the same time period.

The wealth of the ruling elite must be seized and utilized to meet the urgent social needs of the working class, including a massive investment in education, health care and social services.

3. Oppose fascism and dictatorship!

The recall campaign in California is part of a broader strategy of the far right to oppose all necessary restrictions on the pandemic. This has been accompanied by the ever more open transformation of the Republican Party into a fascistic organization under the leadership of Donald Trump.

The fascistic insurrection on January 6 was part of a broader conspiracy led by Trump to overturn the results of the election and establish a dictatorship. The operation was carried out with the complicity of top Republicans, including the current House minority leader and representative from California, Kevin McCarthy.

While Trump did not succeed with his immediate aims, the threat continues. In response to the growth of social anger and opposition in the working class, a faction of the corporate and financial elite is turning toward fascism. The Democrats, a party of Wall Street and the military, have worked throughout to cover up the extreme danger and block any popular mobilization against the far right.

4. Defend the rights of immigrants!

Perhaps the cruelest aspect of the policies of the Trump administration, which aroused mass hostility in California, was its persecution and abuse of immigrants. Trump took the internment camps already built under Obama—who deported more immigrants than any previous president—and added the wall, deliberately separated children from their parents, and encouraged brutality on the part of ICE and the Border Patrol.

Rather than reverse these policies, Biden has built on them, summarily expelling all arriving adult immigrants and many children, using the pretext of the health risk due to the coronavirus. Administration representatives, with Vice President Kamala Harris, the daughter of immigrants, at the forefront, have warned refugees against coming to America. The administration’s anti-China campaign has helped fuel anti-Asian attacks.

The SEP fights to unify the working class. We oppose all efforts to divide workers along the lines of gender, ethnicity, skin color or national origin. The multinational, multiracial protests against the police murder of George Floyd showed the instinctive striving of working people to wage a common struggle, across all such lines of division. We uphold the right of working people to live and work in the country of their choice.

5. No to imperialist war!

The Biden administration seeks to outdo Trump in its militaristic threats war against Russia and China. Biden’s military budget is even larger than Trump’s, and he embraces the strategy of preparing for “great power conflict,” which threatens nuclear war.

The Biden administration has rehabilitated the racist conspiracy theory pushed by Trump that China is responsible for COVID-19. Both presidents have tried to deflect blame for their own disastrous handling of the pandemic by blaming a foreign “enemy.”

There is no difference between the Democrats and Republicans when it comes to waging war in the Middle East, including drone missile assassinations; targeting governments in Latin America and the Caribbean for subversion and overthrow; and upholding the “right” of American imperialism to dictate to every country in the world.

The SEP calls for the trillions squandered on war and militarism to be redirected to addressing basic social needs.

6. For the political independence of the working class! Fight for socialism!

None of the problems confronting workers in California, across the US and throughout the world can be resolved within the framework of capitalism. Whether it is the pandemic, the spread of wildfires, climate change, poverty, homelessness, and unemployment—a rational and scientific response based on the interests of the working class requires an end to the capitalist system.

The gigantic corporations and banks must be turned into public utilities, run on the basis of social need, not private profit.

The objective basis for a socialist movement is the growth of working-class struggle. The pandemic has enormously intensified class conflict in the US and internationally. Workers are beginning to fight back, from Volvo autoworkers in Virginia, Frito-Lay workers in Kansas, mine workers in Alabama, and teachers and health care workers throughout the country. These struggles are part of a growing movement of workers throughout the world.

The SEP campaign of David Moore will fight to unify these struggles through the development of a coordinated network of rank-and-file committees, independent of the corporatist unions, which have collaborated at every point with the corporations and the state in enforcing the demands of the ruling class.

Above all, this movement must be armed with a socialist program, perspective and leadership. We call on all our supporters and readers in California to sign up to support the campaign of David Moore for governor. If you are a US citizen or permanent legal resident, you can donate to the campaign, even if you don’t live in California.

20K Migrants Apprehended in One Week in Single Texas Border Sector

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 20,000 migrants in one week, officials say. The number of migrants illegally crossing the border continues to escalate even as the hottest part of the Texas summer approaches.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Patrol Agent Brian Hastings tweeted that his agents apprehended more than 20,000 migrants in just the past week. “It’s the hottest part of the summer and apprehensions are skyrocketing!” the chief wrote.

Hastings’ announcement follows reports from U.S. Customs and Border Protection showing the apprehension of more than 1 million migrants in the first nine months of this fiscal year. The report reveals that 331,661 of the 1,076,242 migrant apprehensions occurred in the Rio Grande Valley Sector.

Migrant apprehensions in the Rio Grande Valley Sector, the nation’s busiest sector, jumped more than 460 percent over the previous year’s report of 59,083. The largest percentage of apprehensions were of citizens of Honduras (128,675), Guatemala (72,736), Mexico (62,682), and Honduras (43,350) the report states.

Nearly half of the apprehended migrants were classified as single adults (154,602), the report continues. This was followed by 131,380 family units and 45,679 unaccompanied minors.

The apprehension of more than 20,000 migrants in a single week provides a glimpse into the ever-increasing number of migrants crossing the border following the changes in border and immigration policies under the Biden administration. This week’s apprehension of 20,000 migrants compares to just under 60,000 for the entire month of June.

"This is country belongs to Mexico" is said by the Mexican Militant. This is a common teaching that the U.S. is really AZTLAN, belonging to Mexicans, which is taught to Mexican kids in Arizona and California through a LA Raza educational program funded by American Tax Payers via President Obama, when he gave LA RAZA $800,000.00 in March of 2009!

dullards, blacks are ugly and inferior, and those “Mongols” with the

“One of the most disgusting things to come out of the Obama administration was "Operation Fast and Furious," where members of the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) allowed illegal gun sales to go through – commonly referred to as "gun walking" – in order to track buyers and sellers they believed were connected to the Mexican drug cartels. Nearly 2,000 firearms were sold and were eventually found throughout the United States and Mexico. Two of them were used to k ill Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.”   BETH BAUMANN

The “zero tolerance” program was dismantled by Attorney General Erc Holder once it had successfully cut the transit of migrants by roughly 95 percent. Initially, officials made 140,000 arrests per year in the mid-2000s, but the northward flow dropped so much that officials only had to make 6,000 arrests in 2013, according to a 2014 letter by two pro-migration Senators, Sen. Jeff Flake and John McCain.

Meet the 'American Students Last' Lobby

Michelle Malkin

Who is funding the militant illegal immigrant youth army of thousands of entitled "Dreamers" that marched to Washington, D.C., for the Supreme Court hearing this week on President Barack Obama's unconstitutional amnesty program?

Follow the money; find the truth. I've got the "Open Borders Inc." breakdown for you of so-called DACA financiers and enablers on both sides of the political spectrum. Call them what they are: the "American Students Last" lobby.

Let's start with Charles Koch. The libertarian billionaire has thrown his weight and fortune behind an amnesty brigade called the LIBRE Initiative. While the establishment right purports to oppose identity politics, LIBRE wraps itself in the mantle of "empowering Hispanics" to "advance liberty" and "prosperity." Koch has poured more than $10 million into the ethnocentric group since 2011 under the slogan "Limited Government. Unlimited Opportunity."

Translation: driver's licenses for illegal immigrants, in-state tuition discounts for illegal immigrant students and securing a Congressional deal to codify the Obama administration's blanket deportation shields and work permits for 800,000 illegal immigrant students if the Supreme Court strikes the deal down.

Koch operatives send out weekly press releases urging Congress to "Protect Dreamers Now," "Achieve a permanent solution for Dreamers" (hint: It's not deportation), and "act promptly on relief for Dreamers." Along with the Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity, LIBRE sponsored a "pop-up art exhibit" propagandizing the benefits of illegal immigrant Dreamers to coincide with their march on Washington on Tuesday.

Next up: the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Big Business lobbyists for cheap labor have prioritized illegal immigrant amnesty legislation since 2014, when the Chamber dumped $50 million to protect border-jumpers from deportation and win them employment authorization documents. "Stripping DACA recipients of their ability to legally live and work in the country will harm them," the D.C. fat cats lamented this week.

Then there's Facebook. All week long, young users of the Silicon Valley giant's Instagram app have been fed heart-tugging ads highlighting Dreamer families and their activist sisters and brothers, including the George Soros-funded street demonstrators of United We Dream, Make the Road New York and CASA de Maryland. Facebook's lobbying arm, FWD.us, disseminated a letter from 10 of its illegal immigrant Dreamer employees "in solidarity with" all immigrants living and working here in violation of our laws. FWD.us has shelled out $430,000 on immigration lobbying this year alone.

Open borders Catholic Church elites have had a busy "illegal immigrants first" month so far. The Vatican and bishops' conference spend hundreds of millions of donations on illegal immigrant shelters, legal teams for dubious asylum claimants, and community organizing activities promoting sanctuary policies and profiting off the backs of border-trespassers, who in turn enrich smuggling rings and drug cartels. The NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice marched from New York City to D.C. with DACA recipients, according to the group's press secretary Lee Morrow (who makes sure to let Catholic colleagues and journalists know that his pronouns are "he/him"). Leaders of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops convened masses at the border to condemn patriots who use the accurate term "invasion" to describe the violent siege in the Southwest. Archbishop Jose Gomez of Los Angeles pledged that "we will never abandon you" and enlisted American churchgoers to pray for illegal immigrant families.

Such virtue-signaling gestures have never been extended to American families permanently separated from their children and grandchildren because of criminal-coddling sanctuary policies and porous fences, of course.

Microsoft and Princeton University jointly filed the Supreme Court briefs on behalf of Dreamers suing for the right to stay here illegally. Princeton also lobbied on Capitol Hill to extend the endless "temporary protected status" and work permits of 300,000 low-wage workers from Central America. Microsoft has punched American students twice in the gut, leading the charge not only for a massive pipeline of illegal immigrant youths but also for millions of H-1B and F-1 foreign student visa holders.

Even The New York Times now acknowledges the obvious reason Democrats are throwing American youth under the bus: mass uncontrolled immigration both legal and illegal is turning America radically blue. But what about Beltway Republicans and establishment Swamp conservative think tanks and college groups? Where is the defense of American students fighting to make a decent living while competing with unrelenting floods of foreign workers at both ends of the wage scale?

Turning Point USA's Charlie Kirk blithely advocates stapling green cards to foreign student diplomas and his speakers have shouted down America First students as racists and losers for challenging the donor class on demographic realities. (Who needs SPLC smear merchants with "friends" like these?) Shamefully, no right-leaning groups bothered to muster up their own army of American students to counter the Koch-Soros-Silicon Valley-Vatican-backed hordes on the Mexifornicated steps of the U.S. Supreme Court. The job of combating the American Students Last lobby has been left to anti-establishment outsiders -- Proud Boys, Groypers, displaced U.S. tech workers and other dissidents unmasking Open Borders Inc.'s controlled opposition. On Tuesday, I was called a "Nazi" by a young GOP operative for supporting American students first.

Keep shooting the messengers, civilizational suicide squad clowns. If the goal is to make America disappear, you're winning.
