TIME FOR REPARATIONS TO VICTIMS OF BLACK CRIMES AND MORE PRISONS TO PUT AWAY BLACK MEN

MUSLIM LOUIS FARRAKHAN IS A RACIST, HATE MONGERING, HOMOPHOBIC PIG!

Davis has faced criticism for praising controversial figures before. In 2018, a pro-Israel group reconsidered its endorsement of Davis after the congressman said anti-Semitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan was an "outstanding human being."

Rep. Danny Davis (D., Ill.) said on Tuesday that disgraced R&B artist R. Kelly, who faces 10 years to life in prison for federal sex crimes, deserves a "second chance" after serving his prison sentence.

"I think he'll be welcomed back into Chicago as a person who can be redeemed," Davis told TMZ. "I'm a big believer in what is called second chances." Kelly was convicted on nine counts of federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges for recruiting women and underage girls for sex.

A Democratic primary challenger to Davis, Kina Collins, accused Davis of "undermining the broader fight for justice" by advocating for Kelly. She called the Illinois Democrat's words "thoughtless, distasteful, and incredibly disappointing for a man charged with representing thousands of black women and girls in our district."

Davis later clarified his comments to the Hill and said "Kelly has been accused of criminal acts, gone through a court of law, been convicted, and must serve whatever time the court decides."

Davis has faced criticism for praising controversial figures before. In 2018, a pro-Israel group reconsidered its endorsement of Davis after the congressman said anti-Semitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan was an "outstanding human being."

The congressman also urged Kelly to "find peace with his Maker and peace with himself" in prison and to "reconcile with the universe for the acts that he may have committed."

An Ulta Beauty shop in Chicago, Illinois, was apparently robbed during store hours over the weekend, and a customer recorded the incident.

The clip appeared to show three individuals wearing masks shoving products into bags, and the man filming was clearly shocked at what was happening, Fox News reported Monday.

The 16th & 17th District Chicago Police Scanner shared the footage and the caption said the incident took place “at the Ulta in Norridge at 4115 N Harlem near the 16th district in #Chicago”:

In the video, a high-pitch alarm is heard and the man behind the camera states, “Oh, look at this, wow,” while the individuals appear to shove products into bags.

“Insane, insane, y’all. Y’all, this is the middle of the Ulta right now,” he said moments before the individuals exited the store.

A store manager would not comment to Fox News regarding the incident but referred inquiries to the store’s media spokesperson.

“At Ulta Beauty, the safety of our associates and guests is our highest priority,” Eileen Ziesemer, vice president of public relations for Ulta, said. “We are aware of the criminal activity at our Norridge store over the weekend and are fully cooperating with local police as they conduct the investigation.”

In August, Chicago Police issued an alert when a 73-year-old security guard was injured during one of a string of store robberies on the city’s Magnificent Mile, ABC 7 reported.

Authorities said they were looking for a group of thieves hitting high-end retail stores along the Magnificent Mile, the outlet continued:

“We put out a business alert on this for other locations and incidents that fit this same MO,” Chicago Police Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan said. At least four different stores were targeted within the last week in the 900-block of N. Rush Street, the 1000-block of N. Michigan Avenue, the 600-block of North Michigan Avenue and the 0-100-block of E. Huron Street.

“Offenders got out of the car, went into a high-end store, stole several purses totaling $43,000,” Deenihan said. Each time, investigators said a group of men wearing medical masks and hoodies enter the store, grab the purses on the display tables, then run out. The crimes were caught on surveillance cameras, police said.

Meanwhile, 62 people were reportedly shot, eight fatally, over the weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.

The taxpayer-funded Corporation for Public Broadcasting and several progressive billionaires have partnered with a digital media company now under FBI investigation for attempting to defraud investors.

Ozy Media is accused of trying to defraud executives from Goldman Sachs earlier this year, the New York Times reported this week. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting in 2018 gave the media company a $500,000 grant to produce a documentary series featuring interviews with liberal celebrities. Ozy has lured in other wealthy investors, including Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs. Marc Lasry, the hedge fund billionaire whose son is running for Senate in Wisconsin, is Ozy's board chairman. Lasry organized a $35 million investment round for Ozy in 2019.

Founded in 2013, Ozy bills itself as a "modern media company" with a knack for spotting rising stars in entertainment and politics. According to the Times, Ozy cofounder Samir Rao represented himself as a YouTube executive and touted Ozy's viewership statistics on the video platform. Rao also hyped the leadership of Ozy's president Carlos Watson. According to the Times, Ozy has vastly overstated its traffic numbers for years. Google, which owns YouTube, contacted the FBI about Rao's scheme. Federal agents have contacted Goldman Sachs, the newspaper reported.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting partnered with PBS and the left-leaning Ford Foundation on Ozy's 12-part documentary series, according to a press release of the partnership. Watson interviewed a number of liberal public figures for the series, including Comedy Central host Trevor Noah, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.), and Carmen Yulin Cruz, the mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Congressional Republicans have for years called for cutting funds for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, citing a perceived liberal bias in the organization's programming.

The Ford Foundation gave Ozy $1.95 million in grants in 2016 and 2017, according to its grants database. The foundation supports a number of left-wing causes, including a journalism center at Howard University that will be led by Nikole Hannah-Jones, the creator of the 1619 Project. The foundation also awarded a $50,000 grant to Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, a controversial proponent of critical race theory.

The Ford Foundation has received effusive praise from Ozy in the wake of its contributions to the media startup. Earlier this year, Ozy's Watson hyped Ford Foundation president Darren Walker during an interview for the Carlos Watson Show, which aired on Ozy's YouTube channel. Watson called Walker "one of the biggest, boldest thinkers in the world." The Ford Foundation's earlier funding for Ozy was not disclosed in the 23-minute program.

The Charles Koch Institute, the think tank funded by billionaire libertarian Charles Koch, paid $500,000 to Ozy in 2018 as an independent contractor for media services, according to tax filings.
