Nancy Pelosi, a horrid woman equally as without heart and soul, on Tuesday refused to have the names of the thirteen soldiers killed in Kabul read out on the floor of the House.  That should permanently indict her for being the wicked witch she is.  She is more devious, more calculating than the irresponsible Biden but every bit as beyond redemption as he is.  She will do anything to try to convince the American people, for whom she has only contempt, that whatever she and her party do is righteous no matter how loathsome and totalitarian.  PATRICIA McCARTHY

Stench of corruption: Nancy Pelosi buys Big Tech call options

By Monica Showalter

Nancy Pelosi has grown very rich while in public office. She's amassed a reported $120 million fortune on a $223,500 annual congressional salary.

And like Hillary Clinton, she's an expert stock picker. In her case, she trades a lot on stocks of companies she writes the laws for, and somehow, it always seems to go her way.

Last year, her pick was Tesla. This year? All about Big Tech.

She's laying the money down. According to Mediaite:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) placed up to $3 million in bets this month on a handful of companies to succeed in 2022 — including Google, SalesForce, and Disney.

Pelosi and her husband, Paul Pelosi, put the money on call options in the four-day period from Dec. 17-21, according to disclosures made public on Thursday by the House Clerk. Their largest investment was for call options for SalesForce, valued at $500,000 to $1.250 million. The  options came with a strike price of $210 on Jan. 20, 2023, compared to $65 as of Dec. 29. Google ranked as their second-highest investment, with $500,000-$1 million for calls at a strike price of $2,000 on Sept. 16, 2022, compared to $109 on Thursday.

Other investments included $250,000-$500,000 on call options for Micron Technology, at a strike price of $50 on Sept. 16, 2022; the same amount for calls on Roblox, at a price of $100 on Jan. 20, 2023; and $100,000-$250,000 for calls on Disney at $130 on Sept. 16, 2022.

The disclosures, which members of Congress are required to file, reveal monetary ranges for their investments, but not exact figures.

The Pelosis, both 81, have developed a reputation for prophetic ability when it comes to picking stocks. Their trades last made headlines in January, when they purchased between $500,000 and $1 million in call options in Tesla at a strike price of $500. That stock hit a new historical high last month in excess of $1,200.

To explain those options -- what she's betting is that a company like Google's stock price is going to rise and be at a certain level. When she buys an option, she's buying a derivative that gives her the right, but not obligation, to purchase that stock at a certain "strike price," meaning, she thinks everyone else is going to have to buy it at a higher price. That's where the money is to be made. In the case of Google, she's betting the price of a share of that company will be well above what it is now (currently at around $2,900 today) by the strike price date of Sept. 16, 2022. But she will have the right to buy it cheaper, which should be very profitable should she decide to sell it afterwards. For instance, and to take a hypothetical example, if the share price of Google goes up to $3,000, and she exercises her call option to buy her share at $2,000, well, she can then sell the share at a $1,000 profit, which is a nice piece of cake. The price of the call option is not the same as the price of the stock since it's a derivative of the stock. According to Investopedia:

The price difference between the underlying stock price and the strike price determines an option's value. For buyers of a call option, if the strike price is above the underlying stock price, the option is out of the money (OTM). In this case, the option doesn't have intrinsic value, but it may still have value based on volatility and time until expiration as either of these two factors could put the option in the money in the future. Conversely, If the underlying stock price is above the strike price, the option will have intrinsic value and be in the money.

And according to Mediaite:

Pelosi and her husband, Paul Pelosi, put the money on call options in the four-day period from Dec. 17-21, according to disclosures made public on Thursday by the House Clerk. Their largest investment was for call options for SalesForce, valued at $500,000 to $1.250 million. The  options came with a strike price of $210 on Jan. 20, 2023, compared to $65 as of Dec. 29. Google ranked as their second-highest investment, with $500,000-$1 million for calls at a strike price of $2,000 on Sept. 16, 2022, compared to $109 on Thursday.

A $2,000 call, versus a previous $109 call price? She obviously thinks Google is in for some good times.

According to Mediaite, she's really good at this:

By some estimate, Pelosi and her husband made a 45.59 percent return on stocks last year, along with a 66.7 percent return on options trading.

Most fund managers would kill to make those kinds of returns. These are comparable the kinds of profits only art geniuses such as Hunter Biden can make on their 'output,' while real artists make quite a bit less.

See the problem?

And sure enough, the New York Post has reported that Pelosi herself is blocking legislation that would force Google and some of the other tech baronies to level their playing fields on commercial search results. The Post ran this on Nov. 4:

As a bipartisan group of Washington lawmakers mounts a battle to rein in Big Tech, some insiders say it faces a formidable and possibly surprising obstacle: Nancy Pelosi.

The 81-year-old Democratic House majority leader has made symbolic gestures to defy Silicon Valley such as refusing to take calls from Mark Zuckerberg and declaring 2019 that “the era of self-regulation is over.”

Nevertheless, insiders say she’s slow-walking legislation, including a so-called “non-discrimination bill” that would put a major dent in tech firms including Google and Amazon. The proposal would prohibit the practice of the companies giving their own products favorable treatment in search results.

The bill — sponsored by Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) and Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) — was one of six that passed the House Judiciary Committee in June. A nearly-identical companion bill sponsored by Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) was introduced last month in the Senate and is gaining steam.

Which sounds a little funny, now that Pelosi is laying money down on where she thinks the price of Google's stock is going to be.

Pelosi herself has defended these smelly moves, the idea of congress members trading on stocks in industries they make laws for as the work of "free-market economy" (free for whom?) while the tech barons at Twitter have banned a popular Twitter page called Nancy Pelosi Portfolio Tracker, or @NancyTracker which must have bothered Pelosi mightily.

Now we see one last galloping call in favor of Big Tech, which she is all to willing to go to bat for in Congress, and given Big Tech's heavy-handed censorship and other manipulations of the 2020 U.S. election, she obviously owes political favors to.

See how this works? She ought to be forced by a bipartisan group of Squadsters and Republicans to hold a vote on the measure she's blocking this year. And come November, Republicans at the helm should put a stop to this kind of activity, and send in the special counsels to investigate these curious investing activities of Pelosi's. It ought to be Item A on the agenda.

GOP Rep. Moore: Biden Impeachment, Investigating Pelosi’s Role in 1/6 Riot Possible for GOP-led House After Midterms

1:45

While Democrats are attempting to make the most of their congressional majorities, it is widely anticipated Republicans will have a strong showing in November and win back control of the U.S. House of Representatives.

According to Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL), Republicans should consider using their leadership powers, including potential House Judiciary chairmanship for Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), to possibly impeach President Joe Biden and investigate if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) played any role in the lax security at the U.S. Capitol in the lead-up to the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot.

“You know, both parties play politics sometimes, but I think at this point with a constitutional republic, it is going to benefit us to look into some of these issues that undermined our Constitution or tried to undermine our Constitution,” he said. “And I look forward to Jim Jordan heading Judiciary Committee. I think there’s a lot of opportunities for him to get to the bottom of some of this, to open some of these hearings.”

“Impeaching Biden may be part of that,” Moore continued. “It may be on the table. Certainly, what role did Pelosi play in January 6? That’s the reason [Jordan] and Banks are not on [the January 6] committee right now. They would have some pretty tough questions for her — how we managed to have such lax security knowing there was probably going to be some people in D.C. that day. There are a lot of unanswered questions.”

It's your message, Democrats

By Silvio Canto, Jr.

Yesterday, House speaker Nancy Pelosi said she does not understand where the lawlessness is coming from.  She was talking about all of those attack on shops in San Francisco.

Maybe Mrs. Pelosi finally noticed when the mob attacked her favorite places!

The mayor of San Francisco noticed the looting, too.  This is the story:

The mayor's plan includes a series of initiatives to implement a 180-degree reversal from blind compassion to "tough love." Outlined in a Medium post, Breed's proposals take aim at illegal drug sales and restore funding for police with targeted resources dedicated to the low-income Tenderloin neighborhood. The mayor calls for:

Executing an Emergency Intervention Plan in the Tenderloin neighborhood

Securing emergency police funding to ensure we have the resources to combat major safety problems over the next several

Amending our surveillance ordinance so law enforcement can prevent and interrupt crime in real time — something they're effectively barred from doing now — to better protect our homes and businesses

Disrupting the illegal street sales of stolen goods that have become a clear public safety issue and are contributing to retail theft

Well, at least the strategy is changing.  Let's hope it goes beyond talking points.

Why are Democrats suddenly talking about crime?

The answer is twofold:

First, this level of "lawlessness," as the speaker would say, is driving taxpayers away.  My guess is that it keeps a lot of people from driving downtown for dinner on a Saturday.  I was in a city in Maryland last summer and asked about Little Italy, a once-charming neighborhood for eating Italian food.  My friend said it was still there, but many people were afraid of going down in this atmosphere.

Second, the violence must be hurting Democrats with African-Americans and Hispanics, or the people who live in those areas, which may be both.  Check out Chicago and the weekend shootings.  It's hard to blame Trump when everyone running the city is a liberal Democrat.

Memo to Democrats: Let the police do their job, and you will see how quickly the "lawlessness" will disappear.

Check out Chicago and the weekend shootings.

Over 800 Homicides Year-to-Date in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago

There have been over 800 homicides at this point in 2021 in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the city hit the figure of 800 homicides on Tuesday, when 23-year-old Sheridan Freeman was shot dead inside a home in West Pullman.

By Thursday, WBEZ Chicago noted the number of homicides in the city was at 812 for the year.

Chicago has long had a problem with gun crime and the vast majority of this year’s homicide victims were killed with guns.

For example, HeyJackass.com lists 776 people shot and killed in Chicago this year and another 4,403 shot and wounded.

At least 11 people have been shot and killed this week alone in the troubled city.

FOX32 tracked this year’s surging Chicago homicides and noted in November that the city’s death numbers were well-ahead of those posted during recent years.

They contrasted the number of homicides recorded January 1 through October 31 during the past three years and found 432 homicides during that time-frame in 2019, 661 homicides during that time in 2020, and 678 during that same time in 2021.

Police Defunding Pol Sued For Not Funding Own Credit Card Debt

Only a completely dysfunctional political movement would elevate someone like Jo Ann Hardesty to anything. Here's a brief reminder of Portland's greatest civic figure really is.

Hardesty is famous for three things: her calls for defunding the police, her calls to be made police commissioner, and her call to the police when she got into an argument with her Lyft driver because he wanted to keep the window open.

And then there was this.

“I believe Portland Police [Bureau] is lying about the damage—or starting the fires themselves—so that they have justification for attacking community members,” Hardesty said.

In a letter sent to City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty late Thursday afternoon, Mayor Ted Wheeler chided her for incendiary claims she made yesterday that Portland police embedded themselves among protesters and set fire to public property, effectively framing protesters for arson.

Last week, Hardesty took to Twitter demanding action regarding the police bureau and included a message for Mayor Ted Wheeler, who also serves as police commissioner.

“Mayor Wheeler, if you can't control the police, give me the Portland Police Bureau," she said.

When asked whether she thinks Mayor Ted Wheeler is qualified to lead Portland through this historic moment, the commissioner said, "You know, he is who he is. He is a privileged white man who grew up among wealth and privilege, and so I don't know if he has what we need at this time. I can tell you I have what we need to fundamentally change how policing happens in Portland and would be fearless about changing it."

While Hardesty advocates defunding the police, she hasn't been funding her own credit card debt.

Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty is facing two lawsuits from Bank of America for not paying credit card debt totaling more than $16,000.

The lawsuits, which were filed in late November 2021, are for $4,707.18 and $11,344.36 in alleged nonpayment.

“When I ran for city council in 2018, like many working people I was reliant on a credit card and built-up debt,” Hardesty said in a statement on Tuesday. “I live alone, without help, and put all of myself into my work at the city. Sometimes that means I neglect to take care of personal matters. I tried to work out a payment plan before with this debt that didn’t work out and intend to pay this off.”

As commissioner, Hardesty approves the city’s budget, along with the rest of the council.

If only she had some highly paid government position that would enable her to cover her credit card bills.

WHAT IS MORE LAWLESS THAN THE

LAWYER INFESTED DEMOCRAT PARTY?

What do migrant surges and smash-and-grab lootings have in common?

By Monica Showalter

The sudden appearance of smash-and-grab mass lootings has left a lot of people perplexed. After all, who the hell would do that sort of thing? We know that such people are aware that they won't be punished, but that isn't the full story. Most of us wouldn't do that kind of thing no matter what the incentives. We're the kind of people who return an extra dollar to a store clerk because honesty is natural and compassion is our way of life -- we don't want the clerk's drawer to come up short at the end of the day. We live our social capital.

The people who engage in organized smash-and-grab lootings have an entirely unrecognizable mentality. Sure, they're likely fatherless. And sure, they're likely religion-less, with zero exposure to morality. It's natural to wonder if these people were raised by wolves and kept in some sort of den to come out like vampires now that Chesa Boudin is running the district attorney's shop in San Francisco. The phenomenon doesn't add up.

Actually, between basic absence of morality brought on by social chaos, and the knowledge that one will never be punished for one's crime, there's an intermediary cause, an activator of this these mobby crimes.

According to The Hill, citing the Wall Street Journal:

Police say that some of the smash-and-grab robberies that recently took place in California and Minnesota were organized on social media and were carried out by people who did not know each other.

Local law enforcement said robberies at a Bay Area Nordstrom, a San Francisco Louis Vuitton and at a Minneapolis Best Buy were all organized on social media, according to The Wall Street Journal.

For the people who took part in some of the incidents in California, Snapchat was used to organize the crimes as thieves were possibly attracted to the app’s ability to make messages disappear. Once law enforcement arrested some suspects, they at times did not know the names or have any information about the people with whom they were working, the Journal reported.

And yes indeed, these people are out there and they are activated by social media -- Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, and others -- openly slavering to be included in these loot fests, all made possible by social media.

In an earlier blog post, I ran across this pair:

The posts are still up, with Twitter continuing to focus on right-wingers to censor, not the brays of the wannabe looters asking for someone to put them on a list to call so they can go smash and grab a fancy retailer for "free" designer goods.

Facebook and Snapchat have been named in the reports, too, and apparently, it's the new "in" thing. Not too long ago, another social media outfit, TikTok, was the vehicle of choice for random attacks on educators called the "Slap a Teacher Challenge." Overseas this year, Palestinian terrorists initiated a comparable "Slap a Jew" TikTok challenge, copycatting the revolting 2015 "Knockout Game" targeting Jews in New York, with attacks from behind which also emerged from the social media swamp. And though I have not found the entire trail of evidence yet, I'd bet money that the violent random attacks on Asians going on in deep-blue cities are also social-media (as well as YouTube) generated. It fits the sick pattern.

Mass lootings are social media's new achievement this day, and nobody in that wealthy tech industry ever pays for it. The looters get off, the retailers eat the loss, and the shops close up, leaving beautiful American cities all duplicates of Detroit during its bad years. Worse still, ravaged cities can take decades to recover. Just ask South Central Los Angeles or Detroit itself in the wake of its mass riots.

It's far from the only negative act coming out of social media with zero accountability.

Do you wonder why the border surges are so intense and huge, and include nationals now of more than a hundred countries? How did they get there? Why do so many third-worlders in actual rising economies suddenly want to move here? This didn't used to be the case in years past when these countries were poorer, but now these surges are a way of life with Joe Biden in the saddle, inviting them in. And why have the cartels themselves grown so powerful, now taking over ports and threatening our neighbor to the South?

Thank your local social media for all of that illegal activity, too, which makes it possible. I wrote about those issues here and here. And here.

So now we have social media at the nexus of mass lootings, and social media at the center of migrant surges and cartel empowerment. What kind of operation is this? Social media seems obsessed with censoring conservatives in the name of 'fake news' or fact-checking, which it turns out is all opinion, as Facebook has admitted. Meanwhile, America's cities are on fire, its shops are trashed, no one feels safe, the quality of life is going down, and illegal aliens are surging on in. It's all got the same root and the same irresponsible enablers. The elites running these outfits claim that they are as upset as anyone else about the illegal activity their sites are promoting, but they never seem to do anything about it. Meanwhile, they take refuge in Article 230 which protects them from liability from the kind of things that occur on their sites, and vigorously protest and lobby and hand cash to politicians to keep it that way.

It's a pretty obvious pattern of illegality and irresponsibility. Anyone else who'd let a criminal group use a safehouse or enable them to organize would be jail-bound, but not these guys. Now it's getting obvious that social media is enabling this kind of new criminality. Come 2022, Congress needs to take action to drop that outrageous protection and force these people to own their activity. And any retailer who has been devastated by one of these looter mobs should be free to sue these social media barons who make this activity possible.

A mother and daughter were among those arrested for allegedly looting a San Francisco Louis Vuitton store prior to Thanksgiving, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday.

“Grabbing grandmother Francill White, 53, and daughter Kimberly Cherry, 28, were two of five looters nabbed by police over the November 19 incident that saw thieves make off with more than $1million-worth of designer goods,” the outlet said.

Beside the also accused Tameko Miller, 23, and Ivan Speed, 34, the two were charged with four felony counts of looting amid a state of emergency, second degree commercial burglary, grand theft, and receiving stolen property.

In addition, Miller’s cousin, 23-year-old Jamisi Calloway, was charged in the incident and faces five felony counts including possession of a firearm with a prior felony, concealing a firearm, and resisting arrest.

“Despite being slapped with serious charges – and a combined 14 previous convictions ranging from shoplifting to attempted murder – all five are now back on the street on bond,” the Mail article continued:

Convicted drug dealer Speed has even taken to social media while on house arrest: launching a range of hoodies with the slogan ‘No Face No Case’ – an apparent reference to his masked appearance during the looting spree. Cops told DailyMail.com the raid was put together by organized crime gangs with the stolen goods earmarked for resale overseas and said they have had to step up patrols in the upscale shopping area in a bid to beat the criminals.

San Francisco’s Union Square has since boarded up amid the Christmas shopping season after the “mass looting” incidents began, Breitbart News reported December 1.

“The spate of lootings has been blamed on ‘woke’ San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin and a 2014 California law that made theft under $950 a misdemeanor,” the Mail article read.

The outlet pieced together the alleged looting gang’s rap sheet through information obtained from nearby counties, news reports, and an overview on the San Francisco Superior Court’s website.

Court documents reportedly said White’s life of crime went back 30 years with her initial conviction for stealing from a woman in 1989.

“Despite her crimes, in 2011 she was awarded a $30,000 payout by San Francisco School District which she sued after claiming a teacher had stolen her younger daughter Haniyah’s Twinkie snacks,” according to the Mail article.

SF Mayor: It's Time to Be 'Less Tolerant of All the Bull S*** That Is Destroying Our City'

By Susan Jones | December 15, 2021 | 11:07am EST

(CNSNews.com) - We've all heard about and occasionally seen on television the wave of crime, drug abuse, homelessness and lawlessness that has turned parts of San Francisco into a no-go zone for residents and tourists alike.

Enough is enough, San Francisco's Democrat Mayor London Breed told a news conference on Tuesday:

"It is time that the reign of criminals who are destroying our city -- it's time for it to come to an end. And it comes to an end when we take the steps to be more aggressive with law enforcement; more aggressive in our policies and less tolerant of all the bullshit that is destroying our city.

"We are going to turn this around," she said.

To make that happen, Breed announced the following steps in a post on Medium.com:

-- Executing an emergency intervention plan in the Tenderloin neighborhood;

-- Securing emergency police funding to combat major safety problems over the next several months;

-- Amending our city's surveillance ordinance so law enforcement can prevent and interrupt crime in real time — something they’re effectively barred from doing now — to better protect our homes and businesses;

-- Disrupting the illegal street sales of stolen goods that have become a clear public safety issue and are contributing to retail theft.

"We will do all of this while continuing our long-term work to establish innovative mental health interventions, like our Street Crisis Response Teams and the major expansion of mental health beds. We will also continue to expand access to housing and shelter...and to invest in anti-poverty programs that are working," she wrote.

Breed, in her news conference, noted that in recent months:

We've not only seen a number of high-profile incidents of brazen robberies and car break-ins, but also street behavior and criminal activity, especially in the Tenderloin, that has become far too normal and cannot continue to be tolerated.

All of our residents, our workers and everyone who visits our city should feel safe, no matter what part of town they're in.
