We just got more evidence that the middle class is being systematically destroyed in America. At this point, millions of people out there have already grown accustomed to barely scraping by from month to month. But that is not what being “middle class” is supposed to be about. Middle-class families should be able to make more money than they have to spend on everyday necessities because is only by doing so that they can build long-term wealth. Unfortunately, income growth has not kept up with the pace of the rising cost of living, and millions of households have taken massive amounts of debt. At the same time, the labor market doesn't offer good-paying jobs that support middle-class life, and the lack of these positions has been contributing to the decline of this income group all across the country. In the early 1970s, the middle class accounted for around 60 percent of the population, but now middle-income households are rapidly becoming a minority in the United States. And as economic conditions continue to deteriorate, millions of hard-working families all over America are being stretched financially like never before. “In America, the middle class can no longer afford retirement. Middle-class Americans face sharp economic inequality, with ownership of financial assets highly concentrated among the wealthy,” explained Tyler Bond, NIRS research manager. “Now that we have a retirement system largely built around the individual ownership of financial assets in 401(k) accounts, middle-class Americans are struggling to accumulate sufficient financial assets during their working years. This means the retirement outlook for many in the middle class is bleak at best.” Since the onset of the health crisis, the U.S. economy has been decaying at an alarming pace. Over the past two years, the middle class has gotten smaller and smaller in this country, and now it seems that another economic downturn is upon us once again. So many families are already living on the edge right now. Recent surveys have exposed that well over 50% of the population is living paycheck to paycheck and that most Americans don't have emergency savings or a financial cushion to fall back on. When you are living on the edge, there is always a danger that you could fall over. Since 2020, we have never seen so many middle-class Americans falling straight into poverty. In other words, unless dramatic changes happen in America, the middle class is going to be absolutely eviscerated in the next decade. We must wake up now. The middle class is dying right before our eyes, and if we want to save it, we must take action now. Today, we compiled a series of new numbers that expose the rapid downfall of the U.S. middle-class.
Economic Gloom Hits Worst Level in 50 Years
A severe pessimism grips the U.S. economy and Americans report the highest level of dissatisfaction with their financial situation in at least half a century, poll results released Monday show.
Eighty-three percent of Americans describe the state of the economy as poor or not so good, according to a Wall Street Journal-NORC Poll. Only one percent describe the economy as “excellent.”
The poll results show just how much inflation has damaged the U.S. economy and the perceptions of Americans about their own financial well-being. The Consumer Price Index in March was up the most in 40 years and the April inflation rate was close behind it. The government will release figures for May’s price level on Friday.
Thirty-five percent said they are not at all satisfied with their financial condition, the highest level of dissatisfaction since NORC began asking the question every few years starting in 1972.
Sixty-three percent of Americans say they are extremely or very concerned about the price of gas. Fifty-four percent say they are extremely or very concerned about the impact of high grocery prices on their household’s financial situation. Just 13 percent say they not very or not at all concerned about gas prices and 19 percent about grocery prices.
The share of Americans who think they can improve their standard of living has plunged. Just 27 percent now say they have a good chance of improving, down from 47 percent a year ago. Forty-six percent say they don’t have a good chance of improving their standard of living.
Only 38 percent of Americans say they are generally optimistic about the opportunity for most people to achieve the American dream. Sixty-eight percent say they are generally pessimistic.
President Joe Biden is reportedly “seething” over his failing presidency as his approval numbers have tanked due to the overwhelming pessimism over the economy. A separate poll by ABC/ISPOS showed that 61 percent of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy, 71 percent disapprove of his handling of inflation, and 72 percent disapprove of his handling of gas prices. Sixty-one percent also disapprove of Biden’s tax policies. Twenty-one percent say inflation will be their single most important issue when they vote in the midterms.

Second mass shooting in a week in Chattanooga is one of nine such incidents in the US last weekend
Three people were left dead and 14 injured in the second mass shooting in Chattanooga, Tennessee within a week. Police suspect multiple shooters opened fire outside of a downtown bar in the early hours of Sunday morning. Two victims died of gunshot wounds while a third person was killed by a vehicle fleeing the scene.
Only a week earlier, six young people were shot when two groups of juveniles exchanged gunfire in the tourism district of downtown Chattanooga where the Tennessee Aquarium, as well as restaurants and other attractions, are located. The victims of the gunfight were bystanders ranging in age from 13 to 15 years old. Two of the six injured in the gunfire are hospitalized in critical condition after patrol officers reported hearing gunfire at around 11 p.m. on May 28.
Sunday’s mass shooting in Chattanooga occurred mere hours after gunfire erupted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s busy entertainment district killing three people and wounding 14 others enjoying themselves on Saturday night.
According to a CNN report Monday, nine mass shootings had taken place since Friday, June 3. These followed two successive weeks during which 10 people were gunned down by a fascist gunman in a grocery store in Buffalo, New York on May 14 and 19 elementary school children and two teachers were murdered by a high school student in Uvalde, Texas on May 24. Three hospital staff and a patient died when a disgruntled patient opened fire in a Tulsa, Oklahoma medical facility on June 1.
In an interview with Fox News following Sunday’s shooting, Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly blamed the rise in violent crime in the city on the impact of COVID-19 on impoverished communities and the sale of “tens of millions” of guns since the beginning of the pandemic.
Mayor Kelly based his speculations on reports of the alarming increase in gun sales since the beginning of the pandemic. According to a CNN report from March 2021, gun sales rose 65 percent in 2020 from 2019. This translates to 23 million gun purchases. Sales rose another 23 percent in the first three months of 2021, adding another 13 million guns to the number of firearms purchased in America during the pandemic. According to the report, the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Check System (NICS) conducted just under 12 million background checks for new gun purchases between March and November 2020.
NICS background checks are one of the only ways to track gun purchases but are only required when buying a gun from federally licensed firearm dealers. According to a 2017 study from Northeastern and Harvard universities, an estimated 22 percent of gun sales occur between private individuals and therefore do not require a background check. According to gun sales in 2020-2021, this adds 8 million guns more to the number of firearms purchased during the first year of the pandemic, bringing the total to 44 million.
Surges in NICS requests during 2020-2021 came at moments of acute political and social unrest in the country, starting with the initial impact of anti-COVID public health measures in March 2020, which saw 3.7 million background checks. During the George Floyd protests against police violence, 3.9 million background checks were performed. After the tumultuous 2020 presidential election, background checks totaled 7.5 million in November and December. Finally, background checks soared to 4.3 million after the January 6, 2021 coup attempt by Trump and his fascist supporters, the third-highest one-month spike on record.
Rather than address the fundamental social tensions that have spurred Americans to arm themselves by the tens of millions in the last year and a half, the response of the Democrats to the recent and horrific escalation of gun violence, in particular the massacre at Uvalde, the second vicious attack on elementary school children in 10 years, has been the usual abortive calls for gun reform, which will soon dissipate as they have so many times already.
The Republicans, meanwhile, have feigned concern for mental health while calling for increased funding for the police and the transformation of schools into facilities more akin to prisons, where teachers are armed to shoot “bad guys.”
In Chattanooga, Mayor Kelly offered a slightly different spin to the accepted nostrums that reduce the current onslaught of mass shootings across the country to individual responsibility when he noted the violence is coming from “a small group of individuals.” He explained: “The fact of the matter is, you know, we’ve got communities in Chattanooga that have been, you know, grindingly poor for generations and generations. And that’s the root cause of the problem.”
The Mayor’s solution to pervasive social inequality? He will “combat” the problem by promising to fund “anything and everything” the Chattanooga Police Department declares that it needs, thereby abandoning the complex task of social reform to the criminal justice system.
The ruling elites have made it absolutely clear that nothing will hamper wringing every last bit of profit from the working class. Over 1 million Americans and counting have been allowed to die during the pandemic, and the Biden administration continues to calculate how many deaths from COVID-19 will remain palatable to voters as the midterm elections loom this fall, all the while insisting the pandemic is over. Meanwhile, corporations continue to tally up record profits every quarter since the beginning of the pandemic.
The ruling class has provoked a war with Russia in Ukraine and are shoveling hundreds of billions of dollars into the coffers of the war profiteers even as historic levels of inflation drive workers further into poverty. The normalization of mass death is hourly splayed across the headlines of newspapers and runs along the bottom of television news shows, all of it blamed on this or that unsavory, power-mad individual who threatens the interests of capitalism.
In the face of the innumerable atrocities wrought by the cataclysmic contradictions of capitalism, the working class is mobilizing in its struggle for social equality and an end to the exploitation of mankind and the environment. Workers forced the initial lockdowns as COVID-19 began its deadly course. Since then, strikes have occurred across the United States and throughout the world. Workers are voting down meager, union endorsed contracts after years of accepting concessions and cutbacks more favorable to management than workers and their families.
The only way to break the cycle of social and political violence is the mobilization of the working class on the basis of a principled socialist program. Workers across the globe have begun to realize that their power can only be liberated by breaking down the barriers erected by the capitalist political parties and their henchmen, the pro-corporate trade unions, and forming independent political rank-and-file committees in their workplaces. Only then will we end mass murder, imperialist war, social inequality and fascism.

Face it, Joe, You Were Never Supposed to Be President
You were just supposed to play him on TV.
A famous drama coach said, “When the actor you hired begins to believe he’s the character he plays, fire him.” That’s the trouble with Joe Biden. He believes he really is the president of the United States.
Biden was elected to the Senate in 1972, at the ripe old age of 29, four years after he graduated from law school -- lots of real-life experience there. Once he had the Democratic nomination in True-Blue Delaware, he was set for life. In Joe’s case, life was 36 utterly undistinguished years. No one can remember a major bill he sponsored that became law.
The first time he ran for his party’s presidential nomination in 1988, he was forced to quit after it was learned that he’d plagiarized a speech by British Labor Leader Neil Kinnock. Someone smarter would have changed a word here and there, to make it seem original. Someone smarter ain’t Joe Biden, who used it word for word.
Just when it seemed like the rest of his career was destined to be a footnote in history, Barack Obama plucked him out of obscurity to be his running-mate in 2008.
Obama was then untested, having served less than four years in the Senate. He needed to reassure insiders, and who better than good, old reliable Joseph – a Democrat lackey through and through.
His eight years as vice president were marked by a string of successful banquets and funerals. Obama’s assessment of his vice president can be summed up in a remark often attributed to him, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to fu-k things up.”
In 2020, the future president ran a lackluster campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. Then Bernie Sanders began moving up in the field.
Terrified that they’d have to run with an avowed socialist at the head of the ticket, the party elite settled on Biden the Bland to stop Bernie the Bolshie. The other candidates were bribed or pressured into dropping out and throwing their support to the Anointed One, including Kamala, who practically accused him of being a racist in one debate.
Once he had the nomination, instead of the proverbial back-porch campaign, with COVID as the excuse, Biden hid in his basement to minimize voters’ exposure to his wit and wisdom.
The party sold him as the adult in the room -- a seasoned statesman who would spare us those embarrassing Tweets. “Senior” turned out to be a euphemism for senile. Instead of a statesman, we got a hack who outsourced his ideas to the DNC.
Still, he did manage to give us a hint of what his presidency would be like, when he punched down at a Detroit factory worker who prophetically proclaimed that the candidate wanted to “take away guns.” To this, the future president replied that his questioner was “full of sh-t,” and told him, “Don’t be such a horse’s ass.” With Churchill, Biden will never be confused. Our 46th president mobilized the English language and sent it marching off a cliff.
The lapdog media ran interference for the Democratic nominee, like burying the Hunter laptop scandal and pushing the Steele Dossier, cooked up by Crooked Hillary.
Now we have a president who trips as he tries to walk up the steps of Air Force One, can’t quote created-equal part of the Declaration of Independence (you know, “the thing”) gets lost on the White House lawn, stares vacantly into space, and had to be led away from a crowd by the Easter Bunny, when it looked like he’s going to gaffe again.
There should be a Secretary of Walking Back.
In March, Biden declared that Putin “cannot remain in power.” While the Russian ruler is indeed a wicked man, and we should help Ukraine to defend itself, there’s nothing like poking a bear with a nuclear arsenal.
In March, Pretend President said we would intervene militarily to defend Taiwan from Chinese aggression. (So much for strategic ambiguity.) Beijing can’t be allowed to take Taiwan, but why telegraph your punches?
Of late, the leader of the Free World has fussed and fumed about the tendency of his aides to contradict his offhand comments by explaining what he really meant to say and how it dovetails administration policy.
It makes him look weak, indecisive and not in control, the president grumbles. But the president is weak, indecisive and totally not in control. Since Woodrow Wilson had a stroke in 1919, and his wife became the de facto chief of state, never has a president been less in charge of his administration.
So, who’s driving White House policy – Bernie Sanders and the Squad, Pelosi and Schumer, the Easter Bunny or (my personal choice) Barack Obama?
Never in our history has a president managed to screw things up this badly (the withdrawal from Afghanistan, shutting down domestic energy production, inflation, border security and law enforcement) in so short a period of time. If you listen to conservative media, you get the impression that the Biden administration is "hands down" the worst since our first, and perhaps greatest, president, George Washington, was inaugurated in 1789. Biden's gaffes, creepy whispering, rest home shuffling, and empty gazes make many of us wonder how we got to this sorry state. Many of us wonder why this man is not confined to an elder care facility.
It is not fair, however, to claim he has no accomplishments. While we scream and shout about the demise of the country we love, he is busy accomplishing the bidding of the Democrat party and his patrons in Communist China.
Joe Biden collects $400,000 a year in salary as president. According to the New York Post, Biden and his family have collected $31 million from China. Jesus said we cannot serve two masters. If Biden has collected $31 million from China, that raises the question: what do the Chinese want in return? Does that $31 million make China his biggest concern? Could it be that his primary job is serving the interests of China, while his role as president is a moonlighting gig?
As president, Joe Biden is doing his worst to make sure that America is ruled by his party far into the future. His open border policy is allowing millions of illegals to invade this country. At an opportune moment, his party, with the help of RINOs, will grant amnesty to these lawbreakers, including a path to citizenship. This was Ted Kennedy's demographic dream, and no one in Washington is giving Biden any grief about his part in making Democrats the ruling party in America.

‘A Win for the CCP’: Biden Waives Tariffs on Suspected Chinese Solar Panels
President Joe Biden on Monday announced a 24-month exemption of tariffs on solar panels from four southeast Asian nations that the Commerce Department suspects are actually made in China.
Solar panel imports from Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia were frozen after the Commerce Department opened an investigation in March on whether Chinese solar producers were illegally circumventing tariffs by routing their operations through those countries.
Reuters first reported that Biden has decided to exempt those solar panel imports from tariffs in order to get stalled solar-power projects back on track. The move will benefit U.S. solar developers and utilities that rely on imported solar panels, but hurt American solar panel manufacturers.
Auxin, a California-based solar panel manufacturer that prompted the Commerce Department’s probe through a complaint, slammed Biden’s decision.
“President Biden is significantly interfering in Commerce’s quasi-judicial process,” Auxin Chief Executive Officer Mamun Rashid said in a statement, according to Bloomberg. “By taking this unprecedented — and potentially illegal — action, he has opened the door wide for Chinese-funded special interests to defeat the fair application of US trade law.”

Biden also on Monday invoked the Defense Production Act to expand U.S. manufacturing of solar panels and other clean energy technologies, with a goal of tripling domestic solar manufacturing capacity to 22.5 gigawatts by 2024.
The tariffs on imported solar cells and modules made in China were first imposed by the Obama administration in 2012, according to Reuters.
Last year, Republicans pushed to ban all Chinese imports suspected of being made with Uyghur slave labor, to include solar panels.
Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) tweeted Monday, “@JoeBiden bows to Communist China & ignores human rights AGAIN.”
He added, “This will likely increase U.S. imports of solar panels made through Uyghur forced labor in Xinjiang. The Biden admin must stand against forced labor & prevent tax dollars from funding this horrific abuse.”
Republican Study Committee Chairman Jim Banks (R-IN) tweeted, “By lifting tariffs on solar energy imports from China, Biden is endorsing the industry’s heavy reliance on Uyghur slave labor.”

The investigation will continue, and depending on the outcome of the probe tariffs could be levied, but not for at least 24 months, according to the report.
The freeze on imports had prompted concern by both Democrats and Republicans, who urged Biden to act.
Sens. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) and Thom Tillis (R-NC) said the investigation was “causing massive disruption in the solar industry,” and would “severely harm American solar businesses and workers and increase costs for American families as long as it continues.”
The solar industry cheered Biden’s tariff exemption.
President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association Abigail Ross Hopper said in a statement to Reuters, “The president’s action is a much-needed reprieve from this industry-crushing probe.”
The U.S. International Trade Commission in December recommended a four-year extension of the solar tariff. The recommendation followed a determination that solar imports remain a threat to U.S. manufacturers.

In an interview on Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) reacted to a report that President Joe Biden’s son Hunter utilized burner phone applications to conduct his business and personal affairs.
Issa argued that although there was a “false narrative” pushed about former President Donald Trump being “too cozy with Russia,” Hunter Biden raked in “millions from the mayor of Moscow.” The California Republican suggested the younger Biden profiting from the mayor “can’t be explained in any way except a payoff to him.”

Report: Hunter Biden Utilized Burner Phone Apps from 2014 to 2018
Hunter Biden reportedly utilized burner phone apps from 2014 to 2018 to conduct personal and business affairs.
Hunter’s utilization of the secretive forms of communication occurred during the same years he conducted many business transactions while Joe Biden was in top U.S. government positions. From 2013 through 2018, Hunter earned $11 million from Burisma Holdings and from his partnership with a Chinese energy company.
The burner phone apps were discovered on Hunter’s laptop, Konstantinos “Gus” Dimitrelos, a former Secret Service agent and cyber forensics expert, told the Washington Examiner after examining Hunter’s “laptop from hell.”
Breitbart News’s Emma-Jo Morris initially authenticated Hunter’s laptop in the fall of 2020 while she was working with the New York Post. In March of 2021, the establishment media finally authenticated the laptop.
“The file contained over 2,000 purchases by Robert Hunter Biden and dozens of purchases of burner phone apps, which are used to generate alternate phone numbers capable of making calls and texting from a primary mobile device such as an iPhone or iPad,” Dimitrelos said.
Dimitrelos assembled a report detailing Hunter’s careful use of the secretive forms of communication. Dimitrelos said Hunter’s laptop showed 39 purchase transactions of burner phone apps between 2015 and 2018.
“In addition to buying burner phone apps, there is evidence on the MacBook Pro hard drive that Phoner was used to record a call and save the audio file titled Recording.mp3,” the report continued.
It is unknown the extent to which Hunter used the secretive forms of communication or whether it will lead investigators to charge the president’s son with tax fraud, money laundering, and violation of lobbying laws. Hunter and his attorney are reportedly trying to settle the case out of court with the Justice Department.
However, Hunter’s burner phone apps were reportedly used for Hunter’s personal communication, along with texts to Joe Biden about his financial situation.
According to text messages from 2019, Hunter revealed the corrupt Biden family payout mechanism. The mechanism indicates a collection of 50 percent of familial salaries for 30 years.
“I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years,” Hunter texted to his daughter. “It’s really hard. But don’t worry, unlike Pop [Joe], I won’t make you give me half your salary.”
The Biden family’s payment mechanism of collecting 50 percent of family salaries for 30 years could be legal “predicates” for racketeering charges, former Utah U.S. attorney Brett Tolman believes.
Most Americans believe the Bidens’ corrupt business practices are worrisome, an April Harris poll revealed. Fifty-eight percent believe Joe Biden has indeed played a role in his family’s business. Sixty percent say Hunter has sold “influence and access” to Joe Biden. The poll also showed that 67 percent believe Joe Biden should be impeached if he “secretly participated [in] and facilitated” the family’s business.

Eight Things to Know About the Biden Family’s Culture of Corruption
The family of former Vice President Joe Biden has earned millions of dollars since the start of his political career, often from dealings with heavy political overtones.
Biden, the frontrunner among 2020 Democrats, often touts his middle-class bonafides on the campaign trail. Although Biden did not become a multi-millionaire until he left the White House in 2017, the same cannot be said of his family. In fact, several members of the Biden clan became immensely wealthy over the span of the former vice president’s 40-year political career.
Breitbart News is providing an in-depth breakdown of a few instances in which Joe Biden’s political career and his family’s financial interests seemed to intersect.
1. Joe Biden’s younger brother, James Biden, secured generous bank loans.
In the wake of Joe Biden’s upset election to the U.S. Senate in 1972, his younger brother James was able to secure a series of generous bank loans to start a Delaware night club.
Although James Biden had no business experience and a net worth of less than $10,000 at the time, he was able to arrange more than $160,000 in start-up capital for the venture. When the nightclub proved to be unsuccessful, generating more than $500,000 of debt by 1975, James Biden and his business partners were thrown a life-line by a Pennsylvania bank that loaned him a further $300,000.
During the same time period James Biden was receiving the extensive lines of credit, Joe Biden was sitting on the Senate Banking Committee, which had purview over the financial sector. A specific jurisdiction of the committee was the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which provides bailouts to banks if they should become over-leveraged.
2. Joe Biden’s top campaign contributor hired his youngest son Hunter right out of law school.
Shortly after Joe Biden was reelected to the U.S. Senate in 1996, his largest campaign contributor, the credit card issuer MBNA Corp., hired his son for an undisclosed role. The job raised eyebrows from good government groups because MBNA employees had just donated $63,000 to Joe Biden’s reelection campaign in what appeared to be a coordinatedmanner to sidestep federal campaign finance regulations.
Clouding the picture even further was that, at the time, Hunter Biden was a 26-year-old recent graduate of Yale Law School with no prior banking or business experience. Both father and son defended the job offer, claiming nothing improper had or would result because of the arrangement.
“Unfortunately, no matter where I went to work, some people would make an issue of it,” the younger Biden told the Delaware News Journal in November 1996 when the job was announced.
Despite his role being unknown at the time of his hiring, when Hunter Biden left the company in 1998 to join the Clinton-era Commerce Department it was as a senior vice president.
Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Joe Biden was championing bankruptcy reform legislation endorsed by financial interests and credit card companies like MBNA.
3. An MBNA executive purchased Biden’s house for the full asking price in a deal that appeared facilitated by the company.
A senior MBNA executive purchased Biden’s 10,000 square foot colonial mansion in the Wilmington, Delaware, suburbs for the asking price of $1.2 million in February 1996. The sale garnered notice because larger and newer homes in the vicinity sold for less. The issue became a minor campaign problem for Biden’s reelection but was quickly dismissed when the senator provided local media appraisal forms showing his home was worth the value for what it was sold.
Byron York, however, investigated the matter in an exposé for the American Spectator and found that properties appraised around the same value in the vicinity had “sold for a good deal less” than at what they were valued on paper.
“In comparison, it appears [the MBNA executive] simply paid Biden’s full asking price,” York wrote. “And, according to people familiar with the situation, the house needed quite a bit of work; contractors and their trucks descended on the house for months after the purchase.”
As York also noted, it appeared that MBNA may have played a role in facilitating the purchase. Documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission show that “in 1996 MBNA reimbursed [the executive] $330,115 for expenses arising from the move.” Of that total, $210,000 “was to make up for a loss [the executive] suffered on the sale of his Maryland home.”
4. Hunter Biden remained on MBNA’s payroll while Joe Biden was writing bankruptcy reform legislation.
Throughout the early 2000s, Hunter Biden remained on MBNA’s payroll as a consultant while his father was writing and pushing the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005. The arrangement, which did not become public until after the law was passed, started in 2001 after Hunter Biden had left his position in the Commerce Dept. MBNA was paid monthly consulting fees, with some claiming they ranged upwards of $100,000, to advise the company on online banking issues.
The 2005 bankruptcy tightened regulations to make it extremely more difficult to declare bankruptcy. It was heavily favored by MBNA and other giants in the banking and finance sectors. Many consumer protection advocates, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), have claimed the bill benefited special interests at the expense of consumers. Some have even suggested the law only served to hasten and aggravate the recession of the late 2000s.
As previously reported by the New York Times, Biden worked against many of his own fellow Democrats in Congress to ensure the final version of the bill was free of provisions opposed by companies like MBNA.
Biden “was one of five Democrats in March 2005 who voted against a proposal to require credit card companies to provide more effective warnings to consumers about the consequences of paying only the minimum amount due each month,” the Times noted.
5. Joe Biden paid his family members with campaign cash.
During his failed 2008 presidential campaign, Joe Biden paid more than $2 million to his family members and their business. According to the Washington Times, the money went to a company that was a long-time employer of Biden’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens. Biden also directed funds to a law firm started by his old campaign treasurer, which at the time also employed his youngest son Hunter.
6. James and Hunter Biden sought to monetize off Joe Biden’s political standing.
In 2006, close to when Joe Biden assumed the chairmanship of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and launched his second presidential campaign, James and Hunter Biden purchased a hedge fund called Paradigm Global Advisors. Although neither man had a strong background in finance, James and Hunter Biden reportedly believed they could leverage Joe Biden’s political connections to their benefits.
“Don’t worry about investors,” James Biden purportedly told Paradigm’s senior leadership upon taking over the fund, as reported by Politico. “We’ve got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.”
Paradigm’s executives claim that James and Hunter Biden saw the hedge fund as a way to “take money from rich foreigners who could not legally give money” to Joe Biden’s campaign account.
“We’ve got investors lined up in a line of 747s filled with cash ready to invest in this company,” James Biden allegedly told Paradigm’s staff.
Hunter and James also tried to solicit labor unions to invest their pension funds in Paradigm by relying on Joe Biden’s long record of advocating in favor of collective bargaining.
The efforts proved to unsuccessful, though, with James and Hunter Biden choosing to strip and sell the company off by 2010 after a number of bad decisions, including partnering with a Ponzi scheme.
7. James Biden’s received a $1.5 billion contract to build houses in Iraq while Joe Biden was overseeing the region.
After his foray into the world of high finance ended disastrously, James Biden joinedHillstone International LLC as a vice president in 2010. The company, a subsidiary of Hill International, at the time, was pursuing technology and construction projects around the globe.
Although the company had been losing money for some time, James Biden’s arrival resulted in something of a reversal in fortune. Within six months of James Biden joining the firm, Hillstone was the recipient of $1.5 billion dollar contract to build 100,000 houses in war-torn Iraq. The deal, which was never finalized because outside funding failed to materialize, quickly caught attention as Joe Biden was overseeing the Obama administration’s policy in the region.
Both the Obama White House and Hillstone denied Joe Biden had anything to do with the deal, pointing to the fact the contract was awarded through a South Korean group working to build homes in Iraq. Despite the denials, Irvin Richter, the founder of Hill International, did admit James Biden may have had something to do with the deal.
“Listen, his name helps him get in the door, but it doesn’t help him get business,” Richter told Fox Business in 2012 when discussing James Biden. “People who have important names tend to get in the door easier but it doesn’t mean success. If he had the name Obama he would get in the door easier.”
Complicating matters was the fact James Biden was likely to get rich if the deal went through. Fox Business reported that a group of minority partners, which included James Biden, owned 49 percent of Hillstone. The other 51 percent was owned by the company’s parent group, Hill International. Given Hillstone’s profit breakdown structure, James Biden and the other minority partners would have been eligible to split more than $735 million after the deal was completed
8. Hunter Biden’s firm scored a $1.5 billion deal with the Bank of China only days after Joe Biden and his youngest son visited the country.
Peter Schweizer, a senior contributor at Breitbart News, revealed in his bestselling book Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends that Hunter Biden’s firm signed a multi-billion dollar with a subsidiary of the state-owned Bank of China only ten days after he visited the country with his father aboard Air Force Two.

“In December of 2013, Vice President Joe Biden flies to Asia for a trip, and the centerpiece for that trip is a visit to Beijing, China,” said Schweizer. “To put this into context, in 2013, the Chinese have just exerted air rights over the South Pacific, the South China Sea. He got in a car, drove to a computer service shop, and dropped off his laptop for repair. The next day, he returned to give the clerk an external hard drive so that the contents could be extracted. Then he never came back.
Why Hunter decided to take his computer to a repairman (and ultimately abandon it) two weeks before his father's presidential announcement, rather than just buy a new one, could be an interesting puzzle for Freudian theorists. Report: Hunter Biden Utilized Burner Phone Apps from 2014 to 2018
Hunter Biden reportedly utilized burner phone apps from 2014 to 2018 to conduct personal and business affairs.
Hunter’s utilization of the secretive forms of communication occurred during the same years he conducted many business transactions while Joe Biden was in top U.S. government positions. From 2013 through 2018, Hunter earned $11 million from Burisma Holdings and from his partnership with a Chinese energy company.
The burner phone apps were discovered on Hunter’s laptop, Konstantinos “Gus” Dimitrelos, a former Secret Service agent and cyber forensics expert, told the Washington Examiner after examining Hunter’s “laptop from hell.”
Breitbart News’s Emma-Jo Morris initially authenticated Hunter’s laptop in the fall of 2020 while she was working with the New York Post. In March of 2021, the establishment media finally authenticated the laptop.
“The file contained over 2,000 purchases by Robert Hunter Biden and dozens of purchases of burner phone apps, which are used to generate alternate phone numbers capable of making calls and texting from a primary mobile device such as an iPhone or iPad,” Dimitrelos said.
Dimitrelos assembled a report detailing Hunter’s careful use of the secretive forms of communication. Dimitrelos said Hunter’s laptop showed 39 purchase transactions of burner phone apps between 2015 and 2018.
“In addition to buying burner phone apps, there is evidence on the MacBook Pro hard drive that Phoner was used to record a call and save the audio file titled Recording.mp3,” the report continued.
It is unknown the extent to which Hunter used the secretive forms of communication or whether it will lead investigators to charge the president’s son with tax fraud, money laundering, and violation of lobbying laws. Hunter and his attorney are reportedly trying to settle the case out of court with the Justice Department.
However, Hunter’s burner phone apps were reportedly used for Hunter’s personal communication, along with texts to Joe Biden about his financial situation.
According to text messages from 2019, Hunter revealed the corrupt Biden family payout mechanism. The mechanism indicates a collection of 50 percent of familial salaries for 30 years.
“I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years,” Hunter texted to his daughter. “It’s really hard. But don’t worry, unlike Pop [Joe], I won’t make you give me half your salary.”
The Biden family’s payment mechanism of collecting 50 percent of family salaries for 30 years could be legal “predicates” for racketeering charges, former Utah U.S. attorney Brett Tolman believes.
Most Americans believe the Bidens’ corrupt business practices are worrisome, an April Harris poll revealed. Fifty-eight percent believe Joe Biden has indeed played a role in his family’s business. Sixty percent say Hunter has sold “influence and access” to Joe Biden. The poll also showed that 67 percent believe Joe Biden should be impeached if he “secretly participated [in] and facilitated” the family’s business.

Eight Things to Know About the Biden Family’s Culture of Corruption
The family of former Vice President Joe Biden has earned millions of dollars since the start of his political career, often from dealings with heavy political overtones.
Biden, the frontrunner among 2020 Democrats, often touts his middle-class bonafides on the campaign trail. Although Biden did not become a multi-millionaire until he left the White House in 2017, the same cannot be said of his family. In fact, several members of the Biden clan became immensely wealthy over the span of the former vice president’s 40-year political career.
Breitbart News is providing an in-depth breakdown of a few instances in which Joe Biden’s political career and his family’s financial interests seemed to intersect.
1. Joe Biden’s younger brother, James Biden, secured generous bank loans.
In the wake of Joe Biden’s upset election to the U.S. Senate in 1972, his younger brother James was able to secure a series of generous bank loans to start a Delaware night club.
Although James Biden had no business experience and a net worth of less than $10,000 at the time, he was able to arrange more than $160,000 in start-up capital for the venture. When the nightclub proved to be unsuccessful, generating more than $500,000 of debt by 1975, James Biden and his business partners were thrown a life-line by a Pennsylvania bank that loaned him a further $300,000.
During the same time period James Biden was receiving the extensive lines of credit, Joe Biden was sitting on the Senate Banking Committee, which had purview over the financial sector. A specific jurisdiction of the committee was the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which provides bailouts to banks if they should become over-leveraged.
2. Joe Biden’s top campaign contributor hired his youngest son Hunter right out of law school.
Shortly after Joe Biden was reelected to the U.S. Senate in 1996, his largest campaign contributor, the credit card issuer MBNA Corp., hired his son for an undisclosed role. The job raised eyebrows from good government groups because MBNA employees had just donated $63,000 to Joe Biden’s reelection campaign in what appeared to be a coordinatedmanner to sidestep federal campaign finance regulations.
Clouding the picture even further was that, at the time, Hunter Biden was a 26-year-old recent graduate of Yale Law School with no prior banking or business experience. Both father and son defended the job offer, claiming nothing improper had or would result because of the arrangement.
“Unfortunately, no matter where I went to work, some people would make an issue of it,” the younger Biden told the Delaware News Journal in November 1996 when the job was announced.
Despite his role being unknown at the time of his hiring, when Hunter Biden left the company in 1998 to join the Clinton-era Commerce Department it was as a senior vice president.
Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Joe Biden was championing bankruptcy reform legislation endorsed by financial interests and credit card companies like MBNA.
3. An MBNA executive purchased Biden’s house for the full asking price in a deal that appeared facilitated by the company.
A senior MBNA executive purchased Biden’s 10,000 square foot colonial mansion in the Wilmington, Delaware, suburbs for the asking price of $1.2 million in February 1996. The sale garnered notice because larger and newer homes in the vicinity sold for less. The issue became a minor campaign problem for Biden’s reelection but was quickly dismissed when the senator provided local media appraisal forms showing his home was worth the value for what it was sold.
Byron York, however, investigated the matter in an exposé for the American Spectator and found that properties appraised around the same value in the vicinity had “sold for a good deal less” than at what they were valued on paper.
“In comparison, it appears [the MBNA executive] simply paid Biden’s full asking price,” York wrote. “And, according to people familiar with the situation, the house needed quite a bit of work; contractors and their trucks descended on the house for months after the purchase.”
As York also noted, it appeared that MBNA may have played a role in facilitating the purchase. Documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission show that “in 1996 MBNA reimbursed [the executive] $330,115 for expenses arising from the move.” Of that total, $210,000 “was to make up for a loss [the executive] suffered on the sale of his Maryland home.”
4. Hunter Biden remained on MBNA’s payroll while Joe Biden was writing bankruptcy reform legislation.
Throughout the early 2000s, Hunter Biden remained on MBNA’s payroll as a consultant while his father was writing and pushing the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005. The arrangement, which did not become public until after the law was passed, started in 2001 after Hunter Biden had left his position in the Commerce Dept. MBNA was paid monthly consulting fees, with some claiming they ranged upwards of $100,000, to advise the company on online banking issues.
The 2005 bankruptcy tightened regulations to make it extremely more difficult to declare bankruptcy. It was heavily favored by MBNA and other giants in the banking and finance sectors. Many consumer protection advocates, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), have claimed the bill benefited special interests at the expense of consumers. Some have even suggested the law only served to hasten and aggravate the recession of the late 2000s.
As previously reported by the New York Times, Biden worked against many of his own fellow Democrats in Congress to ensure the final version of the bill was free of provisions opposed by companies like MBNA.
Biden “was one of five Democrats in March 2005 who voted against a proposal to require credit card companies to provide more effective warnings to consumers about the consequences of paying only the minimum amount due each month,” the Times noted.
5. Joe Biden paid his family members with campaign cash.
During his failed 2008 presidential campaign, Joe Biden paid more than $2 million to his family members and their business. According to the Washington Times, the money went to a company that was a long-time employer of Biden’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens. Biden also directed funds to a law firm started by his old campaign treasurer, which at the time also employed his youngest son Hunter.
6. James and Hunter Biden sought to monetize off Joe Biden’s political standing.
In 2006, close to when Joe Biden assumed the chairmanship of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and launched his second presidential campaign, James and Hunter Biden purchased a hedge fund called Paradigm Global Advisors. Although neither man had a strong background in finance, James and Hunter Biden reportedly believed they could leverage Joe Biden’s political connections to their benefits.
“Don’t worry about investors,” James Biden purportedly told Paradigm’s senior leadership upon taking over the fund, as reported by Politico. “We’ve got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.”
Paradigm’s executives claim that James and Hunter Biden saw the hedge fund as a way to “take money from rich foreigners who could not legally give money” to Joe Biden’s campaign account.
“We’ve got investors lined up in a line of 747s filled with cash ready to invest in this company,” James Biden allegedly told Paradigm’s staff.
Hunter and James also tried to solicit labor unions to invest their pension funds in Paradigm by relying on Joe Biden’s long record of advocating in favor of collective bargaining.
The efforts proved to unsuccessful, though, with James and Hunter Biden choosing to strip and sell the company off by 2010 after a number of bad decisions, including partnering with a Ponzi scheme.
7. James Biden’s received a $1.5 billion contract to build houses in Iraq while Joe Biden was overseeing the region.
After his foray into the world of high finance ended disastrously, James Biden joinedHillstone International LLC as a vice president in 2010. The company, a subsidiary of Hill International, at the time, was pursuing technology and construction projects around the globe.
Although the company had been losing money for some time, James Biden’s arrival resulted in something of a reversal in fortune. Within six months of James Biden joining the firm, Hillstone was the recipient of $1.5 billion dollar contract to build 100,000 houses in war-torn Iraq. The deal, which was never finalized because outside funding failed to materialize, quickly caught attention as Joe Biden was overseeing the Obama administration’s policy in the region.
Both the Obama White House and Hillstone denied Joe Biden had anything to do with the deal, pointing to the fact the contract was awarded through a South Korean group working to build homes in Iraq. Despite the denials, Irvin Richter, the founder of Hill International, did admit James Biden may have had something to do with the deal.
“Listen, his name helps him get in the door, but it doesn’t help him get business,” Richter told Fox Business in 2012 when discussing James Biden. “People who have important names tend to get in the door easier but it doesn’t mean success. If he had the name Obama he would get in the door easier.”
Complicating matters was the fact James Biden was likely to get rich if the deal went through. Fox Business reported that a group of minority partners, which included James Biden, owned 49 percent of Hillstone. The other 51 percent was owned by the company’s parent group, Hill International. Given Hillstone’s profit breakdown structure, James Biden and the other minority partners would have been eligible to split more than $735 million after the deal was completed
8. Hunter Biden’s firm scored a $1.5 billion deal with the Bank of China only days after Joe Biden and his youngest son visited the country.
Peter Schweizer, a senior contributor at Breitbart News, revealed in his bestselling book Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends that Hunter Biden’s firm signed a multi-billion dollar with a subsidiary of the state-owned Bank of China only ten days after he visited the country with his father aboard Air Force Two.
In a SiriusXM Breitbart News Tonight radio interview from last year, Schweizer explained how the Biden-China deal unfolded:
“In December of 2013, Vice President Joe Biden flies to Asia for a trip, and the centerpiece for that trip is a visit to Beijing, China,” said Schweizer. “To put this into context, in 2013, the Chinese have just exerted air rights over the South Pacific, the South China Sea. They basically have said, ‘If you want to fly in this area, you have to get Chinese approval. We are claiming sovereignty over this territory.’ Highly controversial in Japan, in the Philippines, and in other countries. Joe Biden is supposed to be going there to confront the Chinese. Well, he gets widely criticized on that trip for going soft on China. So basically, no challenging them, and Japan and other countries are quite upset about this.”

He got in a car, drove to a computer service shop, and dropped off his laptop for repair. The next day, he returned to give the clerk an external hard drive so that the contents could be extracted. Then he never came back.
Why Hunter decided to take his computer to a repairman (and ultimately abandon it) two weeks before his father's presidential announcement, rather than just buy a new one, could be an interesting puzzle for Freudian theorists. "Your vision of me being a hapless degenerate drunken crackhead is so unbelievably hurtful," Hunter lashed out at Joe in a series of texts in July 2019. "For twenty years [it] has felt like you just needed me to go to my bedroom and be quiet while the grownups talk."

In one-party states such as the old PRI-ruled Mexico, the stealing tended to start late. Before a Mexican president was escorted out for the next, he and his would sweep the presidential palace for everything not nailed down -- the lightbulbs, the toilet seats, the doorknobs and more. There were exceptions, but it was generally the known narrative. In more than one Latin American country, the last-minute asset grab on the way out actually had a name -- "La Pinata." After all, as former PRI mayor of Mexico City, Carlos Hank Gonzalez, used to say: "A politician who's poor is a poor politician."
Which brings us to Joe Biden, and his family's unusually fast scramble to profit from his public office right out the gate.
Son Hunter still has his 10% China equity fund stake, contrary to what had been reported, and a new art gig just perfect for bringing in money from non-transparent sources, as the New York Post, in this excellent report notes, all because his blow-pipe 'art' done as his personal art therapy is somehow so very valuable.
Brother Frank, meanwhile, is advertising his connections to old Joe for Florida law firm he's connected with, using Joe's name in a bid to drum up business. As New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin reported:
The latest sordid example involves one of Joe’s younger brothers, Frank Biden, appearing in a Florida law firm’s ad — on Inauguration Day no less. The ad used the president’s name to draw attention to the Berman Law Group’s class-action suit against sugar cane growers.
“The two Biden brothers have long held a commitment to pushing environmental issues to the forefront,” says the ad. “The president-elect has vowed to rejoin the Paris Agreement and wants to set ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets.”
The ad, first reported by CNBC, appeared in the Daily Business Review and carried a picture of Frank Biden and quotes him saying, “My brother is a model for how to go about doing this work.”
How touching. And shameless.

And it seems to be having a knock-on effect as Vice President Kamala Harris's stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, an art student (which generally isn't the most employable of professions), has suddenly gotten a fancy modeling contract, to be a 'style icon,' which hadn't been her forte until the establishment noticed she was close to power. Now they're gushing about her, selling her as stylish as emperor's new clothes. Kamala Harris, meanwhile, might just owe someone a favor.
It's happening, Goodwin observes, because the Bidens have been doing it for decades, and never with any consequences. Now that Joe's 'the big guy' and not a mere vice president, for them it's all the better.
Which is true enough as far as it goes, but still doesn't entirely explain the speed of the influence-peddling and pocket-lining -- why, contrary to the Mexican and Latin American model -- did the rush to grab money start on day one?
With these questionable acts starting early -- despite Joe's call to brother Frank to 'watch yourself,' what seems a distinct possibility is that the family members think the gig is not going to last so the time to act is now.
Maybe they're betting Joe isn't going to last for one reason or another. That might explain why they are rushing to scarf up all they can without covering their tracks. They're like fund managers divesting a stock --- quickly, and all at once. Fund managers buy stocks quietly and gradually on expectations the price will go up, but when they think it's heading down, they don't play around, they dump it all at once and don't care who's watching.
That kind of desperation seems to be evident in House Biden's quick bid to cash in all at once, too. Do they know something we don't? Do they expect their window of opportunity will be short? How is it they can jump up so fast to cash in, even against warnings from Joe, who after all, assured the voters last fall with this malarkey:
“My son, my family will not be involved in any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict, with inappropriate distance from the presidency and government,” he said.
Even with the spotlight on, for them, it's as if the walls are closing in and Gotterdammerung is beckoning. If that's not a vote of low confidence in the durability of Joe and his presidency, what really is?

Report– Joe Biden Warned Brother Frank: ‘For Christ’s Sake, Watch Yourself’
President Joe Biden cautioned his brother Frank about potential business dealings during his campaign for president, according to a report.
“For Christ’s sake, watch yourself,” Biden said according to a report in Politico. “Don’t get sucked into something that would, first of all, hurt you.”
Politico cited a “person with knowledge of the conversation” in its report and said that Biden was “jocular and serious” in his comment to his brother.
Biden’s intention, Politico reports, was to protect his brother from “being hurt and vilified” because of his connections to the president.
Since Biden’s inauguration, questions about members of his family have been raised regarding their business dealings, especially after Republicans questioned his son Hunter Biden’s business deals with foreign countries during the campaign.
Frank Biden’s law firm, The Berman Law Group, promoted his relationship to President Biden in an advertisement on Inauguration Day.
“The two Biden brothers have long held a commitment to pushing environmental issues to the forefront; the president-elect has vowed to rejoin the Paris Agreement and wants to set ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets, for example,” the ad read.
A White House official responded to the story by warning that Joe Biden’s name should not be used in any commercial advertisement.
“It is this White House’s policy that the President’s name should not be used in connection with any commercial activities to suggest, or in any way that could reasonably understood to imply, his endorsement or support,” the official told CNBC in January.

Try to imagine a President doing a worse job than Joe Biden. Think about how that would even be possible. Would they have to set the White House on fire while vomiting on Boris Johnson? Maybe a President in a Nyquil-induced stupor trying to start a nuclear war with Canada? Jimmy Carter on his worst day couldn’t hold a candle Joe Biden on his best, provided Biden ends up having a best day.
Remember this one: “I’m gonna ask the public for 100 days to mask, just 100 days to mask. Not forever, 100 days. And I think we’ll see a significant reduction if we occur that, if, if, if, if that occurs with vaccinations and masking to drive down the numbers considerably, considerably”? That was Joe Biden 1 year ago Friday, part of his “plan” he swore he had to “shutdown the virus.” How’d that work out again?
Has there ever been a bigger disconnect between what a candidate for President promised and what they delivered? It’s not even that Biden tried and failed, it’s that the entire premise of his campaign was a lie. He had no plan, he had no clue. All he had was an objective and handlers determined to get him there, for their own reasons.
It’s unclear to me that Joe Biden ever wanted anything more than the trappings that go with being President of the United States – the house, the being waited on hand and foot, and most importantly to a career politician with wild insecurity and unrivaled narcissism like Joe, the guarantee of being remembered. Senators are forgotten, quickly, Presidents are remembered forever. Someone who loves themselves as much as Joe does, who desperately needs others to love him just as much, that matters.
There’s also the added bonus that former Democratic Party Presidents are showered with money after their term, often times by the industries they pretended to “fight” when they were running. And Joe Biden loves money. He made a bunch after his stint as Vice President on the prospect that he would run in 2020 (leftists hedge their bets and spread their money around). That’s, of course, in addition to the millions his family raked in through Hunter’s string of jobs and contracts for which he was wildly unqualified. Joe pretends he isn’t, but he’s all about the money.
But to get to the rewards of being a former Democrat President, those Presidents tend to want to accomplish some things; they usually believe in things. Joe Biden believes in nothing. His biggest, and really only accomplishment in the Senate was the 1994 crime bill and he had to denounce it because Democrats had gone from being against crime and supporting police to supporting criminals and wanting to defund police.
On abortion, Biden changed his tune completely as well. There isn’t a person serving his administration, either in the White House or the media, who won’t insist Joe labored between running for President or becoming Pope, such a devout Catholic is he. And in his time in the Senate he used to pretend to be personally against abortion, but refused to allow his religious beliefs to dictate his policy positions. It was and is BS, but many politicians play this game (looking at you, Nancy Pelosi).
Now, he’s no longer pretending. The party of “safe, legal, and rare” abortions is now the party of abortions for everyone, on demand, with no restrictions on when. It won’t be long, maybe 5 years, before they start advocating post-birth abortions, taxpayer funded, of course. That’s where Democrats are now, so that’s where Joe Biden is now. Biden is such a weathervane on everything, and always has been, that he’d perform abortions in the White House if that’s what the fringe of his party demanded.

That Joe Biden hasn’t come close to fulfilling any campaign promises, or even that those promises were made, is a testament to what he was willing to do to get the job. Just imagine what he’s willing to do to keep it. Even scarier, just imagine how much worse things have the potential of getting as he works to do just that.
