Ethics Watchdog Calls for Investigation into Pennsylvania’s Democrat Senate Candidate John Fetterman

A non-partisan ethics watchdog organization demanded an investigation into Pennsylvania’s Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, who is running for the open U.S. Senate seat, for allegedly failing to properly disclose all of his assets, which he is legally required to do.

The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) filed a complaint with the Senate Select Committee on Ethics on Tuesday to request an investigation into Fetterman as he allegedly failed to disclose numerous assets on his personal financial disclosure in violation of federal law and Senate rules.

As FACT’s complaint noted, federal law and Senate ethics rules require lawmakers and candidates for office to disclose a “full and complete” statement of their assets, debts, and income, as well as any financial positions held to the public in an “accurate and timely” manner so citizens can determine if lawmakers and candidates have any conflicts of interest — which is an “integral part of an ethical and transparent government.”

Regarding assets, lawmakers and candidates must “report the complete identity and category of value of any interest in property … with a fair market value exceeding $1,000 as of the close of the reporting period.” The disclosure instructions specifically state that an “asset” includes “real estate.”

FACT noted that he currently owns eight real estate properties, according to county records:

  • 505 Stokes Ave, Braddock, Pennsylvania, with an assessed value of $41,500
  • 1233 Braddock Ave, Braddock, Pennsylvania, with an assessed value of $22,100
  • Parcel 302-K-192, Braddock, Pennsylvania, with an assessed value of $14,100
  • 1223 Braddock Ave, Braddock, Pennsylvania, with an assessed value of $10,500
  • 1227 Braddock Ave, Braddock, Pennsylvania, with an assessed value of $9,600
  • Parcel 302-K-188, Braddock, Pennsylvania, with an assessed value of $9,300
  • Parcel 302-K-199, Braddock, Pennsylvania, with an assessed value of $1,000, purchased for $1,100 on August 8, 2014
  • Parcel 302-K-193, Braddock, Pennsylvania, with an assessed value of $700

Fetterman filed a personal financial disclosure on July 29 and did not report the real estate that he owns.

In the ethics complaint, FACT acknowledged:

While the precise fair market value of the properties are unknown, it is likely they are all above $1,000 because the assessed value of properties are generally less than their fair market value. In fact, seven of the eight properties have an assessed value of $1,000 or greater and the eighth property would also likely have a fair market value more than $1,000. Thus, all of these properties should have been disclosed on Fetterman’s personal financial disclosure.

This is a clear violation of federal law and Senate ethics rules. Candidates are well aware of their duty to comply with the law and have an affirmative duty to do so. Moreover, when a Senate candidate fails to comply with the disclosure laws it is instructive of whether they will comply with the law if elected—and it is especially concerning when they don’t.

Regarding the complaint, FACT’s executive director Kendra Arnold said, “It appears all of these properties should have been disclosed on Mr. Fetterman’s personal financial disclosure.”

“Candidates are well aware of their obligation to comply with the law and have an affirmative duty to do so,” Arnold added. “When a Senate candidate fails to comply with the disclosure laws, it is indicative as to whether they will comply with the law if elected—and it is especially concerning when they don’t.”

Ad Hammers Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman over Emptying Prisons Rhetoric

A pair of advertisements are hammering Pennsylvania’s radical Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate, John Fetterman, on law and order.

On Tuesday, the Republican National Committee (RNC) released a video ad entitled “John Fetterman Isn’t One of Us.” It blasts Fetterman for reportedly living off of his parents’ money for much of his adult life and highlighted his comments that emptying prisons by one-third would “not make anyone less safe in Pennsylvania.”

“John Fetterman isn’t one of us. Fetterman’s a trust fund baby and hasn’t worked a day in his life,” a woman narrator states at the beginning of the ad.

“For 49 years, Mom and Dad gave him an allowance, and his sister gave him a home for just a dollar. Fetterman’s parents stopped giving him an allowance when Pennsylvania taxpayers started footing the bill for a job he doesn’t even show up for,” the narrator continues.

“He isn’t like us, and it’s no wonder he supports banning fracking, releasing one-third of prisoners from jail, and raising taxes during a recession,” the video concludes.

“Fetterman is a phony. And rather than be honest with voters and answer questions at a debate, he hides behind glossy TV ads to make him into something he isn’t,” said RNC Spokesman Nathan Brand in a press release associated with the ad. “His get-ups and lies about his record on crime won’t cover for him being an out-of-touch radical.”

Another group called Citizens for Sanity ran an advertisement in the Philadelphia Tribune on Tuesday, as GOP strategist Arthur Schwartz noted. The group targets Fetterman’s character and his criminal-friendly rhetoric, sarcastically calling him “a man of courage.”

The ad reads:

John Fetterman is a man of courage. The courage to wear a hoodie in even the most formal settings. The courage to grow a ratty goatee and wear it proudly. The courage to demand cold-blooded killers – murderers – be freed from prison. Police and firemen move aside, because John Fetterman is the real hero.

Citizens for Sanity’s website states that its mission “is to return common sense to America, to highlight the importance of logic and reason, and to defeat “wokeism” and anti-critical thinking ideologies.”

Last week, the group released an ad in the Union Leader, a New Hampshire newspaper. It slammed Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH), who is up for reelection this year, on border security.

“Thank you Senator Hassan for keeping the border open,” the ad reads in print. “Sex traffickers could never succeed without friends like you.”

Ann Coulter: Fetterman’s Murderous Campaign Aides: How It Really Happened

Dr. Mehmet Oz, Republican Senate candidate in Pennsylvania, recently attacked his opponent, the ridiculous Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, for a pro-criminal record that would embarrass George Soros. Specifically, he criticized Fetterman for employing as aides on his campaign Dennis and Lee Horton, who spent 27 years in prison for a horrific armed robbery murder.

Drunk on his own self-righteousness, Fetterman sanctimoniously responded: “Does Dr. Oz believe that the wrongfully convicted should die in prison?” He added that the brothers “spent 27 years in prison for a crime they didn’t commit.”

Members of the media, who fervently believe our prisons are just bursting at the seams with completely innocent men, didn’t need to hear more. Suddenly, the entire media-big tech-entertainment conglomerate was screaming at Oz: HOW DARE YOU, YOU MORALLY BANKRUPT DOUCHEBAG! THESE TWO MEN WERE PROVED INNOCENT!

Were they now?

Horton and his brother Dennis, right, had their life sentences in prison commuted by Gov. Tom Wolfe (D), after a recommendation from the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons, led by Fetterman. (Tom Williams/CQ-Roll Call, Inc via Getty Images)

Here’s how the media tells “the actual story,” as somberly delivered by MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, who majored in “Easily Fooled” studies at Brown University:

“According to brothers Dennis and Lee Horton [and who would know better?], on Memorial Day 1993, they were out for a joyride when they picked up their friend, a guy named Robert Leaf.

“What they did not know was that Leaf had just murdered Samuel Alemo and was currently being pursued by the police [sketch that scene for me, Chris]. They were pulled over and all three men were arrested.

“The police involved with the case were accused of using a whole host of problematic tactics during the investigation [yes, they were “accused” — accusations laughed out of court by Democratic judges]; eyewitnesses changed their story [they did not] after prosecutors tried to pin the crime on all three of them — the Hortons as well.

“And the district attorney’s case file, which was not made available till 2018 [I think we know why, Larry Krasner!], included a note stating Leaf is the shooter and a police note indicating Leaf acknowledged his role — all seeming to clear the Hortons. [total B.S.]

The Horton brothers, who are black, refused a plea agreement because they said they didn’t want to plead guilty to a crime they did not commit.”

Below, I have edited Hayes’ description to include only those parts that are relevant and actually true:

“on Memorial Day 1993 …

“a guy named Robert Leaf

“They were … pulled over and all three men were arrested.

“The Horton brothers … are black.”

Luckily for people interested in knowing the truth — a group that decidedly does not include Chris Hayes — the Horton brothers spent their years in prison clogging up the courts with frivolous appeals, so it’s possible to find out how these innocent lambs were somehow convicted of A CRIME THEY DIDN’T COMMIT!

In dismissing their most recent appeal, here’s how the Pennsylvania Superior Court summarized the “evidence adduced at trial” — that is, evidence presented in open court, supported by physical evidence and eyewitness testimony, subjected to cross-examination, and believed by 12 members of a jury:

“On May 31, 1993, [Dennis Horton], his brother Lee Horton (‘Lee’), and a co-conspirator Robert Leaf (‘Leaf’) robbed Filito’s Bar located at 5th Street and Hunting Park Avenue.

“During the course of the robbery, [Dennis Horton], who was carrying a rifle, shot Samuel Alemo multiple times. Alemo later died from his gunshot wounds. [Dennis Horton] also shot Luz Archella and her daughter Luz Martinez, injuring both. Leaf brandished what appeared to be a black pistol while Lee took money from bar patrons. After leaving the bar, the three men fled in a blue automobile.

“A passerby was able to supply police with a description of the vehicle and a partial license plate number. A radio call was sent out, which included a description of the three assailants, their vehicle, and the last four digits of the license plate. A police officer observed the vehicle a short time later only a mile from the crime scene, and placed [Dennis Horton] and his companions under arrest.

“Police recovered a .22-caliber semiautomatic rifle from the backseat of the car, as well as a black pellet gun under the front passenger seat. Ballistics testing identified the rifle as the same weapon used during the robbery at Filito’s. [Horton], Lee, and Leaf … were taken to the hospital where Martinez and her daughter, as well as another bar patron, Miguel DeJesus, identified them as the robbers.”

(The judges, incidentally, were all Democrats, including the only black woman on the 38-member appellate court, who subscribes to the theory that prison is “The New Jim Crow.”)

As you can see right away, one problem with the media’s version of events is: What the hell happened to the other two guys?

This was a daytime robbery of a bar, where two of the perpetrators walked around, taking the patrons’ wallets at gunpoint — not a nighttime mugging witnessed from 20 yards away. The victims had plenty of time to observe the perps. However much criminal defense lawyers attack eyewitness testimony, the patrons certainly knew it was three guys, not one; that they were black, not white; and they were male, not female.

But more important, right after the murdering thieves sped off, a passerby called the police with a description of the car, including four of six numbers from the license plate. Within minutes, that very car was stopped by the police a mile from the bar. And you’ll never guess what they found in that car … three black guys and a recently fired rifle!

Explain, again, how the Horton brothers happened to be in that car?

Right after their arrest, all three men were positively identified at the hospital by the people they’d shot at earlier that day. But even without that identification, again: They were caught in the getaway car, mere minutes after the crime.

So if I understand it correctly, the media’s theory of the crime is as follows:

Immediately after the robbery — and I mean immediately! — Leaf told his REAL accomplices: I’ve got a fantastic idea! You guys get out of the car. I know these two brothers — the Hortons — who look exactly like you and I’m pretty sure are wearing the exact same clothes. Also, their car is identical to yours and — you’ll never believe this — their license plate number is only off by two digits. I’ll just call them to come pick me up and wait here by the side of the road with the long-barreled — and easy to conceal! — rifle we just fired — OH CRAP! IT’S THE POLICE!

Look, it would be one thing if Fetterman defended his years-long PR campaign on behalf of the murdering Horton brothers by saying, They’ve served long enough! Everybody deserves a second chance. I would disagree, especially because the brothers continue to deny their guilt — but in that case, at least Fetterman would only be a gullible fool, and not a despicable, bald-faced liar.

The John Fetterman Nazi Scandal No One’s Talking About

Hiding in plain sight: Tattooed skinhead and prolific internet troll with ties to anti-Semites shows true colors at eugenics rally

John Fetterman's candidacy for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania has been plagued by a multitude of scandals. On Monday the Washington Post editorial board slammed the Democrat for his reluctance to debate his GOP opponent, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and for concealing details about the near-fatal stroke he suffered in May. Many voters continue to express concern about the judgment of a "male Karen" who once held an innocent black jogger at gunpoint and willingly exposed his children to an Anime character best known for grooming an enslaved child.

Because mainstream media outlets have generally gone out of their way to shield Fetterman from criticism, the Washington Free Beacon has been forced to act unilaterally when it comes to exposing the truth about the Democratic candidate. Most journalists feel morally obligated to help Democrats win elections, which is why they have refused to cover what is perhaps the most shocking development of the 2022 election: Fetterman giving what appeared to be a Nazi salute at a campaign event earlier this week.

Fetterman made the offensive gesture at a pro-abortion rally in Blue Bell. It's worth noting that early abortion advocates such as Margaret Sanger, who founded the organization that would eventually become the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, was a prominent supporter of the eugenics movement, which aimed to improve the gene pool of the human race by eliminating individuals deemed to be inferior. The Nazis also loved eugenics.

Some anti-bigotry experts have pointed out that Fetterman fits the profile of a modern day Nazi. Like Fetterman, they typically have shaved heads and multiple tattoos. Like Fetterman, they tend to be very active online and frequently engage in obnoxious behavior sometimes referred to as "trolling." Like Fetterman, neo-Nazis tend to associate themselves with individuals who hate Jews. The Free Beacon reported on Tuesday that one of the non-profits Fetterman started (with help from his rich dad) hosted an anti-Israel art exhibit that promoted egregious falsehoods about the Jewish State.

Mainstream journalists claim to oppose fascism, yet have thus far declined to investigate Fetterman's affection for the Nazi regime. Given how they reacted—hysterically—when Fox News host Laura Ingraham appeared to give a Nazi salute at the Republican National Convention in 2016, the media's silence on this matter is tantamount to an explicit endorsement of racial hatred.

Fetterman To Hold Pro-Abortion Rally on 9/11 With Anti-Cop Activist

Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman is holding a campaign event on Sunday, September 11, though not to commemorate the anniversary of the terrorist attacks. Instead, the Senate hopeful is holding a pro-abortion rally alongside an activist who supports the movement to defund police.

The "Women for Fetterman" event is aimed at showcasing the candidate's support for "reproductive freedom" in the wake of the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. Fetterman, who has said he does not support any limits on abortion, will appear with female lawmakers and Planned Parenthood president Alexis McGill Johnson. The pro-abortion group has said it "supports efforts to defund and divest from the police" because of their "continued militarization and brutal treatment of Black people." McGill Johnson said in September 2020 that "we must keep demanding change, including the call to defund the police."

Police officers and firefighters are widely considered the heroes of the 9/11 attacks, in which 2,977 people were killed when Islamic terrorists flew airplanes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Seventy-one law enforcement officers died in the line of duty, mostly while responding to the collapse of the Twin Towers in New York City. Nearly 350 firefighters and paramedics also perished.

Fetterman's coordination with an organization that supports the defund movement comes as he faces intense scrutiny over his progressive criminal justice reform policies. Republican candidate Mehmet Oz has hammered Fetterman over his call to release up to one-third of inmates from Pennsylvania jails. As head of Pennsylvania's Board of Pardons, Fetterman has voted to free killers convicted of first-degree murder, often over the wishes of victims' families.

One of Fetterman's appointees to the Board of Pardons has called to "disarm the police" and supports Mumia Abu-Jamal, the ex-Black Panther who killed a Philadelphia police officer in the 1980s.

The rally is one of Fetterman's few public appearances since he suffered a near-fatal stroke in May. He attended a fundraiser in the Hamptons earlier this month, drawing criticism for rubbing shoulders with wealthy donors while campaigning as a blue-collar champion. Appearing alongside Fetterman on Sunday is Val Arkoosh, a physician who has said that gender transition surgeries for children are a matter of "human rights."

The campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

WaPo Says Fetterman Has ‘Squandered Credibility’ Over Health, Urges Democrat To Release Medical Records

The Washington Post on Monday called on John Fetterman to release his medical records, saying the Senate hopeful has "squandered" his credibility by concealing details of his near-fatal stroke earlier this year.

The Post editorial board said the lingering questions surrounding Fetterman’s health and his reluctance to debate Republican challenger Mehmet Oz are "troubling" and raise questions about whether the progressive Democrat is "fit to serve in the Senate." The board also called on Fetterman to debate Oz at least twice, before Pennsylvania starts early voting on Sept. 19. Fetterman has said he will debate Oz just one time, in mid- to late-October.

"The lingering, unanswered questions about his health, underscored by his hesitation to debate, are unsettling," the editorial board said.

The scathing critique from a reliably liberal newspaper highlights the rising concern that Democrats have over Fetterman’s recovery. According to Reuters, several Pennsylvania Democratic officials privately expressed concern about Fetterman’s fitness for office. Last week, Fetterman’s hometown newspaper, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, questioned his "ability to serve."

The Post reported in June that Fetterman’s condition was much more serious than he initially let on. Fetterman’s campaign waited nearly three weeks after his May 13 stroke to disclose that Fetterman was diagnosed with a heart condition in 2017. Fetterman’s recovery has also been slower than expected. Fetterman’s wife, who is often at his side during campaign events and interviews, said after the stroke that he would "be back on his feet in no time."

But as the Post editorial board noted, Fetterman "appears confused" at campaign events and often "stammers" during his brief stump speeches. Fetterman has appeared at only a few public events since his stroke in May. He appeared at a rally on Sunday, the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, to promote abortion rights with an activist who supports the movement to defund police.

"Mr. Fetterman is asking voters for a six-year contract without giving them enough information to make sound judgments about whether he’s up for such a demanding job," the editorial board said.

Fetterman Taps Cop Killer Ally For Board of Pardons

Celeste Trusty boasts soft-on-crime views and ties to Mumia Abu-Jamal

Senate hopeful John Fetterman appointed a self-described "friend" of cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal to serve on the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons, placing a supporter of the former Black Panther at an office Fetterman has called his "bully pulpit for criminal justice reform."

Fetterman in January tapped Celeste Trusty to serve as secretary of the board, which Fetterman oversees as Pennsylvania lieutenant governor. Trusty, who served as Fetterman’s campaign political director, is a longtime prison reform activist who has called to "disarm the police." She is also an avowed supporter of Abu-Jamal, who is serving a life sentence for the 1981 murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner. Trusty referred to Abu-Jamal as a "friend" and "my buddy," and has said she frequently corresponds with him. Abu-Jamal’s case has become a cause celebre for left-wing activists who want him released from prison for what they claim is a wrongful conviction.

Fetterman has put his Board of Pardons tenure front-and-center in his campaign against Republican Mehmet Oz, bragging that he "transformed" the lieutenant governor position by leading "the fight to free the wrongfully convicted and give second chances to deserving longtime inmates." But Fetterman has also faced scrutiny for his board record. He voted to free numerous murderers, often over the wishes of families of victims. He was the only member of the five-person board to vote last year to pardon Wayne Covington, who was convicted of first-degree murder after killing a man to steal money to buy heroin. Covington struck a plea deal in his case in order to avoid the death penalty, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Fetterman, who has said his main reason for running for lieutenant governor was to oversee the Board of Pardons, has worked closely with Trusty over the years. Both have pushed for an end to mandatory life sentences for people convicted of second-degree murder. They took part in a "Power of a Pardon" event last year, when Trusty served on Fetterman’s campaign. Trusty worked on the campaign from March 2021 until January 2022, according to Federal Election Commission records.

While Trusty does not vote on individual pardon applications, she oversees the board’s daily operations, moderates its hearings and advises board members. Fetterman’s office has declined the Free Beacon’s requests for video or transcripts of board hearings.

It is unclear whether Fetterman shares Trusty’s views of Abu-Jamal, who had his death penalty sentence overturned in 2011. Fetterman’s campaign and the lieutenant governor’s office did not respond to requests for comment.
