Congress is sending another $12 billion in military gear and other aid to Ukraine, pushing the total transfer up to $65 billion in 2022.

The $65 billion is roughly equivalent to Russia’s entire military budget for 2021, including Russian soldiers’ pay and housing, according to an estimate from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).

The spending is more than all military-related spending by the United Kingdom and is almost twice as much as France spends each year. The spending is twice as large as the U.S. Army’s underfunded annual spending on the development and purchase of new weaponry.

The spending is about $200 per American. In 2020, four out of ten households earned less than $40,000 per year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau

The gusher of aid to Ukraine is more than four times as much as the $15 billion that Democrats agreed to spend on the protective border wall sought by President Donald Trump.

Congress’s flood of military gear and aid is 300 times as much as the $197 million spent by Congress in 2021 to buy new “multi-energy” drug-detection devices for border agents to find drugs smuggled within trucks and cars. Many routes into the U.S. lack the scanners, even as more than 100,000 Americans die of drug deaths each year.

Congress’s spending for Ukraine is eight times the $8 billion annual budget for the Immigration Customs Enforcement agency. The agency has been put on a budget diet and a forced stand down by President Joe Biden’s pro-migration border chief because he does not want the agents to deport more than a few thousand of the roughly 13 million illegal migrants in the United States.

The aid approved by Congress also understates the true cost of the military support provided to Ukraine.

For example, much U.S.-developed weaponry — such as Javelin missiles and satellite-guided artillery shells — is being delivered from U.S. army warehouses. This direct transfer spares Ukraine from having to pay a share of the weaponry’s development costs.

Similarly, Ukraine is getting the value of U.S. spy aircraft and spy satellites without having to help build those networks. That surveillance technology is being integrated with U.S.-built, long-range, satellite-guided rockets to hit Russian ammunition dumps, headquarters, and high-tech surveillance gear.

The U.S. weaponry was developed to counter the Soviet army in the Cold War. and is extremely effective. So far, it has wrecked the Russians’ advantages in tanks, aircraft, artillery, and surveillance gear, often with sniper-style strikes at distances of 2o miles.
The three or four undersea Nord Stream pipeline explosions have now wrecked Russia’s strategic advantage in Europe’s energy market.

The aid for Ukraine, however, is a small slice of the enormous economic and political stakes in the war.

Vladimir Putin’s Russia invaded Ukraine in February after 20 years of post-Cold War diplomatic struggles and standoffs with the United States over Ukraine’s Russian-populated eastern regions and proposed membership in NATO. The dispute turned hot in 2014 when Russia reclaimed Crimea and helped ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine — the Donbas region — to break away from Ukraine’s control.

Russia’s February offensive failed because of Russian errors, U.S. weapons, and Ukrainian bravery.

Russia is now trying to keep control of Russian-populated provinces in eastern Ukraine and Crimea as the U.S.-armed Ukraine army reclaims ground. Ukraine’s advance may create an internal political crisis that could fracture Russia’s vast, multi-ethnic, nuclear-armed country. So far, tens of thousands of Russian soldiers have reportedly been killed, alongside a large number of Ukrainian soldiers.

On September 28, a U.S. official threatened Russia with “catastrophic” retaliation should Russia use even the smallest of its many nuclear weapons to hold back the Ukrainian army:

When it comes to the contingency planning that we’ve engaged in for the potential use of a nuclear weapon by Russia in Ukraine, we have spoken very clearly of the implications for Russia were that to happen. We’ve used a number of adjectives. We have said there would be catastrophic, severe, strong, profound implications for Russia. All of those are accurate. We are – we stand by all of those descriptors. The point that we have made both publicly and privately to the Russians is that the consequences would be real, and they would be extraordinary.

The threat was made shortly after State Department spokesman Ned Price dismissed as “preposterous” any suggestion that the U.S. covertly destroyed Russia’s gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea. Such claims are “Russian disinformation and should be treated as such,” Price said.

Ukrainian officials have given no sign they want to drop their demand for control of Crimea. The peninsula has been held by Russia since 1783 when Catherine the Great captured it from the Turkish empire.

Even as Congress spends more money on Ukraine, it skimps on vital needs for Americans.

The spending is 240 times the $260 million spent by Congress training nurses in 2022. The spending is too little to train all of the Americans who want to become nurses, so helping hospital chains argue that they need to import cheaper, compliant foreign nurses. Similarly, Congress each year refuses to provide additional funds to train more Americans to work as doctors.

Ukraine’s spending exceeds the much-delayed $53 billion “CHIPS” act intended to reestablish U.S. production of computer chips. Congress spent just $10 billion to help develop technology centers outside Silicon Valley, Virginia, Texas, and New York. The $10 billion for Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska Iowa, Tennessee, and many other states is just one-sixth of the fast-track aid to Ukraine.

The spending on Ukraine is 3,000 times the $20 million needed to fix the failed water supply in Jackson, Mississippi.

The spending is 200 times as large as the Democrats’ $300 million package to boost policing nationwide. That election-eve bill was hobbled by far-left opposition and has yet to be approved by the Senate.

The Ukraine funding is more than the zero dollars being spent to help Americans who lose jobs because of free trade via the lapsed Trade Adjustment Assistance program. That long-standing program has been operational since 1974, but it stopped accepting new people in July.

Congress’s rush to supply Ukraine is also a notable contrast with spending cuts urged by GOP congressional budget hawks in 2017. Back then, the GOP proposal called for $500 billion in cuts from Medicare and $150 billion from Medicaid and Obamacare.

Democrats Seek 600X as Much Taxpayer Money for Ukraine than to Fix Jackson, Mississippi, Water Crisis

UNITED STATES - AUGUST 9: President Joe Biden, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., right, Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, arrive for The CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 bill signing on the South Lawn of the White House, which provides funding …

House and Senate Democrats are looking to send 600 times as much American taxpayer money to Ukraine than funds that would go to help fix the water crisis in Jackson, Mississippi, where some residents continue to have contaminated drinking water.

In May, Biden signed a $40 billion military aid package for Ukraine. House Republican leadership — including Reps. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Steve Scalise (R-LA), and Elise Stefanik (R-NY) — voted with Democrats to approve the $40 billion while only 57 House Republicans voted against the spending boondoggle along with 11 Senate Republicans.

Now, in a short-term spending bill, Democrats are hoping to send another $12.3 billion to Ukraine — 600 times the $20 million that lawmakers are seeking to help fix Jackson’s water crisis where residents are being warned of lead contamination.

The funding for foreign countries over United States’ cities highlights an issue brought by the Republican populist wing: American taxpayer money ought to be focused on the infrastructure at home rather than overseas.

Jackson’s water crisis has persisted for some time but came to a head this month after the system failed and left thousands without clean water to use, as the Washington Post noted:

The entire city of more than 150,000 was without safe drinking water, with no end in sight. Many residents here say they adapted long ago to catastrophic government failure. [Emphasis added]

“Jackson’s water’s been messed up; I don’t even feel like they should be issuing people bills,” said Roshonda Snell, 32, who works at a local hotel. “It’s infected, and you can’t even do nothing with it.” [Emphasis added]

The water system in Jackson, the Mississippi capital, has been failing for years. In 2021, a harsh winter storm knocked the system out for a month. Even when water is flowing from the taps, residents struggle with intermittent boil-water advisories and high bills for water that is not always safe to drink. This week, in part because of severe floods, the treatment plant failed completely, leaving the city’s residents without water to drink, bathe or even flush toilets.
[Emphasis added]

Jackson residents are now second-guessing if medical issues, ailments, and skin problems that have popped up are tied to lead contamination, CNN reports:

Today, she and Andrew suspect another culprit: Lead in their hometown’s water. It’s a suspicion shared by parents of about 2,000 kids – and quite likely, many more – now suing the city and state. Compounding matters in the capital city of roughly 150,000, residents are accustomed to boiling water, so they can bathe or cook with it, but with lead, boiling water increases the concentration of the known neurotoxin and probable carcinogen. [Emphasis added]

“It’s not the kind of brain damage where if you walk down the street and you saw them, you’d say to yourself, ‘That kid is really damaged.’ It’s the kind of brain damage that you can’t see, you can’t touch,” the attorney said. “But it’s real. It’s there, and it happens to children because their brains are still being formed, unlike us.” [Emphasis added]

While Jackson’s tap water is back, residents have been warned that they must be cautious to use it while brushing their teeth, showering, and cooking — instead being forced to use often expensive bottled water that has been scarce in the area.

Report: Soros-Linked Group Wins $41M Contract from Biden to Help Illegal Aliens Evade Deportation

A non-governmental organization (NGO), with financial links to billionaire George Soros, has won a $41 million federal contract from President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) to help illegal aliens evade deportation from the United States.

The Acacia Center for Justice, an NGO with financial ties to the Soros-linked Vera Institute of Justice, scored a contract from Biden’s DOJ to provide “legal services” to border crossers and illegal aliens after they are released into the U.S. interior in the hopes of staying permanently.

Fox News’s Joe Schoffstall reports:

The Biden administration awarded $41 million in taxpayer-backed government contracts to a new liberal nonprofit working to help illegal immigrants fight deportation amid the escalating border crisis, Fox News Digital has discovered. [Emphasis added]

The Acacia Center for Justice, a Washington, D.C.,-based nonprofit born from a partnership between the Vera Institute of Justice and Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR), has received six “legal services” contracts from the Department of Justice that carried start dates of Sept. 1, according to records. [Emphasis added]

The multimillion-dollar contracts began just months after the under-the-radar nonprofit received a July 29 determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service, which stated the group’s effective date of tax exemption was Dec. 29, 2021. [Emphasis added]

The Soros-linked Vera Institute of Justice, as Breitbart News previously reported, was recently awarded a $172 million contract from Biden’s DOJ to do the same work — help illegal aliens evade deportation from the U.S.

In 2018, the Vera Institute of Justice was previously awarded $310 million by the Obama administration to help Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) avoid deportation.

The latest estimates reveal that the Biden administration, from February 2021 to August 2022, has released at least 1.35 million border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities — a foreign population larger than the resident populations of Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Rhode Island, and Montana.

A previously deported felon from Mexico is under arrest in South Texas after he allegedly attempted to wrestle a National Guard soldier’s rifle away. The soldier managed to maintain custody of the rifle.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers arrested Ricardo Jaime-Ruiz, 45, a Mexican national, after he allegedly resisted apprehension by a member of the Texas National Guard. The soldier is assigned to the border under Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star.

Jaime-Ruiz illegally crossed the border near Mission, Texas, with a large group of migrants before sunrise on September 26. National Guard soldiers worked with the Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents to try and detain the group.

A soldier attempted to apprehend one migrant by issuing verbal commands. The migrant allegedly failed to comply and attempted to take control of the soldier’s M-4 rifle. The soldier maintained control of his weapon as other soldiers rushed in to help take Jaime-Ruiz into custody.

Texas DPS troopers arrested Jaime-Ruiz and transported him to the Hidalgo County jail. He now faces a Texas felony charge of attempting to take a weapon away from a public servant.

Texas DPS spokesman Lt. Christopher Olivarez told Breitbart Texas that Jaime-Ruiz has a previous felony conviction for illegal re-entry after removal. The incident remains under investigation by Texas Rangers.

For more than a year, Texas National Guardsmen and DPS troopers have assisted the U.S. Border Patrol with the massive increase in illegal migration across the Texas-Mexico border.

So far this fiscal year, which began on October 1, 2021, nearly 1.26 million migrants illegally crossed the border from Mexico into the five Texas-based Border Patrol sectors, Breitbart Texas reported. One month remains in what is already a record-shattering year.

Democrats are ‘sick and tired’ of Biden’s border policy: Former CA state Senator

Illegal aliens continue overwhelming the state, draining California’s already depleted public services while endangering our lives, the rule of law, and public safety for all citizens. Arthur Schaper

As in 2016, Democrats advance a corrupt ruling-class candidate. Like the dead man Gary Ernst, Democrats want people to vote for Joe Biden so they can swap him out for Kamala Harris, already a beneficiary of voter fraud and with the exception of Xavier Becerra possibly the worst attorney general in California history.

The state of California is home to more illegal aliens than any other state in the country. Approximately one in five illegal aliens lives in California, Pew reported.

Want to Visit America? Forget Getting a Visa. Just Walk Across the Border.

The United States is one of the most popular tourist destinations worldwide. In 2019, only Spain and France had more visiting tourists, likely due to the rich history, architecture, cuisine and culture that these European countries provide.

The U.S. offers iconic cities such as New York, New Orleans, and San Francisco, as well as abundant national parks, and entertainment meccas like Las Vegas and Nashville. The visitors they draw bring a huge bump to the U.S. economy.

According to Statista:

In 2019, the number of international tourist arrivals to the U.S. stood at almost 80 million after being on the rise for over a decade. Thanks to this influx of visitors and a boost in U.S. travel spending, the travel and tourism industry contributed over 1.1 trillion U.S. dollars to the country's GDP and supported millions of jobs in 2019.

COVID, of course, put a temporary halt to tourism worldwide, with many countries closed to visitors during much of the pandemic. Those that remained open had ever-changing rules and requirements, not only to enter these countries, but other rules for those attempting to return to their home countries.

Tourist visas are technically called B1 or B2 visas and are used for non-U.S. residents desiring to travel to the U.S. to conduct business, attend a professional conference, visit family, or simply take a vacation. Residents of 39 specific countries are eligible for a visa waiver, allowing a 90-day stay in the U.S. for business or tourism without having to apply for a visa.

These countries are mainly first-world countries as in most of Europe and a few in Asia and Oceania. Notably absent are countries in the Middle East, Africa, or South America. One might consider this racist or xenophobic but there are also practical concerns over potential terrorism or visitors wanting to travel to the U.S. and never return to their home countries.

Interestingly there are no such concerns over those entering the U.S. through our porous southern border.

Missing from the visa waiver program are the 155 remaining countries where most residents want to simply visit family, take in the Grand Canyon, or enjoy a few shows in Vegas. How can they get to the U.S.?

An interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate is required to obtain a travel visa. This should be easy and straightforward, but it is anything but, a nightmare for those applying for a visa. The average wait time for an appointment is 344 days, almost a year. And that’s only the average.

YouTube screen grab

If a Nigerian woman wants to visit her boyfriend in Atlanta, or Denver, for example, she will have to wait 760 days just for an embassy appointment. A family from Colombia hoping to visit Disney World will wait 696 days for their visa appointment. A physician in Mexico wanting to attend an American medical conference won’t get an appointment for 570 days, long after the medical meeting is over.

Yet the irony is that if that same physician, family, or woman made their way to the U.S. southern border, they could sashay across, and if even apprehended crossing, they could claim persecution, ask for asylum, and be granted entry into the U.S. They would also receive a welcome basket of goodies including food stamps, Medicaid health insurance, Social Security income, and other forms of assistance, including free education for their children.

A real-life example of how these delays affect visitors is a semi-retired Australian international businessman invited to a friend’s wedding in Seattle with 160 days' advanced notice.

He was told he would have to wait anywhere from 216 to 300 days for a visa interview, meaning, he could not attend his friend’s wedding despite having spent a decade traveling around the world, including the U.S., on business.

Why is there such a long wait for a visa interview appointment? Of course, COVID is blamed, staffing issues, lockdowns, and so on, despite COVID mostly being over. Will monkeypox be the next excuse? Why is the U.S. having such problems? What about someone from the U.S. wanting to travel to Australia?

An Australian visa can be obtained online. Per their visa website, “It is not necessary to make an appointment with an Australian embassy/consulate.”

Why can’t the U.S. follow a similar process? Or hold interviews virtually via Zoom or another similar platform, clearing the backlog, allowing foreigners to travel to America to visit, celebrate, holiday, and spend their money on American goods and services?

Is the U.S. economy doing so well that American businesses are turning away customers? “American consumers are already cutting back on spending”, according to a new CNBC survey. So why are we making it so difficult for foreigners to visit America and spend their money here?

Illegal immigration costs U.S. taxpayers over $100 billion a year, yet tourism nets the U.S. more than $1 trillion a year, a ten-fold plus to the U.S. economy. Why are we making it so difficult to visit and stimulate our economy?

We have foreigners from who-knows-where streaming across our southern border. NBC News reports, “More than 234,000 migrants tried to cross southern U.S. border in April, a new high.” That’s only those who were apprehended and counted. How many more crossed undetected? Twice as many? Three times as many?

Currently 450,000 individuals are waiting, some for years, for a visa interview to travel legally to the U.S. That’s the equivalent of two months' of illegal border crossers. Only 28,000 of those waiting for their interview will have an interview in May 2022, a tenth of those attempting to cross illegally. Is anything wrong with this scenario?

For an interview lasting 3 to 5 minutes, an embassy could perform 10 interviews per hour, 80 per day, 400 per week. More than 100 embassies, or 40,000 interviews, could be conducted each week, clearing and eliminating any backlog. The U.S. actually has more than 250 embassies and consulates around the world.

Individuals from foreign countries, seeking to visit the U.S. legally, playing by the rules, spending their own money while in the U.S. are told to wait on a multi-year line. At the same time, those entering the country illegally, not playing by the rules, not stimulating the U.S. economy, are enjoying the largess of U.S. taxpayers, and are shuttled to the front of the line.

Is this incompetence? Or a planned and coordinated Cloward-Piven strategy to undermine and eventually destroy America? Draw your own conclusions.

The language may be guarded but the meaning is clear. Central banks must be prepared to lift interest rates to such a level that they bring about a recession if that is what it takes to suppress wage demands.

There is a direct parallel with the COVID pandemic. Capitalist governments around the world refused to implement basic public health measures to eliminate the virus because they feared this would cause a crisis in the stock markets, inflated to record heights by the injection of virtually free money by the central banks.

California—not Mississippi, New Mexico, or West Virginia—has the highest poverty rate in the United States. According to the Census Bureau’s Supplemental Poverty Measure—which accounts for the cost of housing, food, utilities, and clothing, and which includes noncash government assistance as a form of income—nearly one out of four Californians is poor.

                  Kerry Jackson

California’s de facto status as a one-party state lies at the heart of its poverty problem. With a permanent majority in the state senate and the assembly, a prolonged dominance in the executive branch, and a weak opposition, California Democrats have long been free to indulge blue-state ideology while paying little or no political price. The state’s poverty problem is unlikely to improve while policymakers remain unwilling to unleash the engines of economic prosperity that drove California to its golden years. Kerry Jackson

As Breitbart News reported, if chain migration is not ended — as President Donald Trump has demanded — the U.S. electorate will forever be changed, with between seven to eight million new foreign-born individuals being eligible to vote because of chain migration, and overall, an additional 15 million new foreign-born voters.

Missouri Senator Claire McCaskillhas identified California Senator Kamala Harris as the party leader on issues of immigration and race. Harris wants a moratorium on construction of new immigration-detention facilities in favor of the old “catch and release” policy for illegal aliens, and has urged a shutdown of the government rather than compromise on mass amnesty.
