What the Classified Scandal Shows About Biden’s Foreign Connections
Is it a coincidence that Biden profited and kept classified documents from Ukraine and Iran?
Biden’s misappropriated classified documents problem keeps getting worse with a second tranche of documents being discovered at another location. It is now clear that the first set of classified documents found at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement was not an isolated incident. Despite that, the FBI and National Archives are continuing to take a casual approach to the case. There have been no raids of Biden facilities. And won’t be.
But beyond the misappropriation of classified documents, a violation of the Espionage Act, the discovery renews old questions about the foreign connections of Joe Biden and his family.
While details about the classified documents remain scant, we know that they included briefing materials related to three countries: Ukraine, Iran and the United Kingdom.
It may be a coincidence that Biden has corrupt ties to two of the countries on the list, but it’s more likely that there was something in these briefing materials that specifically interested him.
The most prominent of the Trump documents at the heart of the illegal Mar-a-Lago raid by the Biden administration focused on his peace efforts with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un. Trump personally staked a great deal on trying to forge a personal connection with Kim and it is not surprising that he would have wanted to retain access to some of the correspondence.
There’s no apparent reason why Biden, on leaving office as vice president, should have kept memos and intelligence materials about Iran, the UK and Ukraine. And yet he had strong official and unofficial relationships with Iran and Ukraine that crossed the streams of government policy and personal gain.
That may explain why Biden, as a private citizen, felt the need to retain classified documents.
The Penn Biden Center, the location where the first set of documents was found, was not just an academic project, it was a humbler version of the Clinton Foundation. Like it, the Penn Biden Center was a prepping stage for the Biden administration financed by foreign donors. Such organizations often focus on ‘global engagement’ or ‘international humanitarian projects’, but, as a practical matter, provide jobs for past and future administration officials using foreign money.
Foreign donors get access to future administration officials who will be in a position to set foreign policy. Ten Biden administration officials were employed at the Penn Biden Center. Secretary of State Blinken served as a managing director of a center that at various points took in $30 million from Chinese donors. Most of that money was provided “anonymously”.
Beyond Biden’s known ties to China, he had deep ties to Ukraine and Iran.
Biden’s level of involvement in Ukraine during the Obama administration was strange because it was an unlikely backwater for an ambitious veep who dreamed of replacing his boss to focus on. Few Americans paid attention to it, even during the original Russian invasion, unlike Trump’s focus on North Korea, and Ukraine could not be expected to pay political dividends.
However, while Biden became Obama’s point man on Ukraine, his son, Hunter Biden, was serving as a director on the board of the Ukrainian energy company, Burisma. In the process, the ‘Big Guy’ appears to have met with a Burisma adviser. While Hunter sat on the board, his father was pressuring the government to “reform” its energy industry.
While the nature of the classified documents on Ukraine are unknown, such materials would be potentially very valuable to investors looking to gauge where they should put their money. Briefing materials could indicate anything from information about Ukraine’s industry, behind-the-scenes dealings and the foreign policy of other countries toward it.
Even if Penn Biden Center officials did not provide direct access to such documents, having them would be a significant asset and a reference point for outside donors or for themselves.
Iran, the other country at the center of the classified documents scandal, is also an energy state and one that has extensive connections to Joe Biden.
Biden’s relationship with the Islamic terror state began early on when he had celebrated the Islamic takeover of Iran and opposed the rescue of American hostages.
After 9/11, Biden proposed, “this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran.”
In 2002, he addressed the American Iranian Council whose founder had run for the presidency of Iran. Later that year, Biden was raising big money from Iran supporters and urging that Iran be allowed to join the WTO. In 2007, Biden warned that if Bush bombed Iran, he would impeach him. A year later, he told Israelis that they would have to accept Iran’s nuclear program.
A spokesman for the Student Movement Coordination Committee for Democracy in Iran warned that Biden’s campaigns “have been financed by Islamic charities of the Iranian regime based in California.”
“Biden’s political games have made him Tehran’s favorite senator,” an opinion piece in the Washington Post noted.
The Biden-Iran relationship appears to have continued not only during the Obama administration, when the terror state’s nuclear weapons program was legalized, but now.
As the Freedom Center revealed last year, one of Biden’s bundlers during his presidential campaign was the executive director of NIAC Action and the former policy director of the National Iranian American Council: often referred to as the Iran Lobby.
We also exposed the fact that the Iranian hackers who appear to have run a false flag operation for Biden in the 2020 election were linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. In 2007, Biden was one of only 22 senators to vote against designating the IRGC as a terror group.
Once in office, Biden has offered Iran covert sanctions relief and attempted to restart the legitimation of Iran’s nuclear weapons program that had begun under his former boss.

Biden’s ties to Ukraine and Iran have previously spurred suspicions of corruption and calls for investigations. The revelation that his people had taken and kept classified documents involving both countries should be a significant red flag. And another example of Biden mixing the personal and the political, national policy and economic interest in these two major flashpoints.
There are still many unanswered questions about the classified documents.
Why would the Penn Biden Center have needed classified briefing materials? And why did it take so long to disclose their presence? The timing of the discovery in November, right before the midterm elections, is interesting. Until the midterms, it appeared unlikely that Biden would be able to run for another term. The Democrat showing in the midterms however has all but locked in the nomination for Biden. At least the way things stand now. Had Biden been forced to step down after one term, it’s likely that the Penn Biden Center might have been a hub for him again.
The lawyers who found the documents were possibly exploring the possibility or closing the door on it depending on which way Biden’s people thought the midterms would shake out.
Disclosing the classified materials suggested that no one expects Biden to return to Penn Biden. Instead a ‘house cleaning operation’ was underway with the aim of defusing scandals and minimizing legal risks ahead of the 2024 election.
Whatever damage was done with these classified documents has been done. Much as with the Clinton Foundation, all that remains is the cover-up.

Focus Moves to Office Joe Biden Shared With Chinese as Search for Classified Docs Intensifies
Hunter Biden email shows Chinese businessmen had access to Biden Foundation office in 2017
The discovery of two batches of classified documents from Joe Biden’s time as vice president could bring renewed attention to an office the president shared with his scandal-plagued son Hunter and a Chinese energy conglomerate linked to Chinese military intelligence.
Joe and Hunter Biden were "office mates" with executives from CEFC China Energy in 2017, according to emails from Hunter’s abandoned laptop. In an email to the general manager for the K Street office building, Hunter Biden said the office would be shared by his consulting firm Hudson West, CEFC China Energy, and the Biden Foundation, his family charity.
"[P]lease have keys made available for new office mates," Hunter Biden wrote in a Sept. 21, 2017 email, listing Joe Biden, his stepmother Jill Biden, his uncle Jim Biden, and Gongwen Dong, whom he identified as the "emissary" for the chairman of the now-bankrupt Chinese energy conglomerate CEFC.
While the Bidens left the office in 2018, their cohabitation with CEFC executives could raise national security concerns in light of the revelation that Joe Biden kept classified documents related to Ukraine, Iran, and the United Kingdom in another Washington, D.C., office. Biden aides have also discovered classified records in Biden’s garage at his home in Wilmington, Del. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday appointed a special counsel to investigate how the documents, some of which are marked "top secret," ended up at the Biden properties.
Rep. Darrell Issa (R., Calif.), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, said the discoveries should prompt the Justice Department to conduct an exhaustive search of all of Joe and Hunter Biden’s current and former properties.
"If the DOJ and specifically the FBI haven’t conducted the widest possible search of every known location where Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and their associates may have kept classified documents—this is in no way a complete or legitimate investigation," Issa told the Washington Free Beacon.
It is unclear whether any classified materials were stored at the Bidens’ K Street office. But CEFC employees’ access to the office could be of particular concern given the energy conglomerate’s ties to Chinese military intelligence. Hunter Biden worked closely with the firm’s former chairman, Ye Jianming. According to a Senate Republican report, Ye served from 2003 to 2005 as deputy secretary general of the China Association for International Friendly Contacts, a front group for the People’s Liberation Army that "performs dual roles of intelligence collection and conducting propaganda and perception management campaigns."
Hunter Biden also forged close ties to CEFC employee JiaQi Bao, whom House Republicans suspect of working for Chinese intelligence. House Oversight Committee Republicans last year provided FBI director Christopher Wray with "evidence of Bao’s close relationship to Hunter Biden and her attempts to ingratiate herself with his father." Republicans said Bao received a degree from Tsinghua University, a recruiting hub for China’s intelligence services. Before joining CEFC, she worked for China’s National Development and Reform Commission.
Bao appears to have worked in the Bidens’ K Street office, located in the heart of Washington’s lobbying district.
In a March 25, 2018, email, Bao asked Hunter if there was "anything in the office that you would like me to pick up/organize for you." Bao also urged Hunter to take as much money as he could from his partnership with CEFC. "Figure out a way to have the money transferred to the right U.S. account before any restriction levied by Chinese regulators," she wrote.
"After infiltrating the Biden family, Bao urged Hunter to encourage Joe Biden to run for president months before he announced and then supplied the Biden family campaign advice related to China," said Rep. James Comer (R., Ky.), the chairman of the House Oversight panel.
In 2017 and 2018, CEFC paid Hunter Biden $5 million to scout out energy deals in the United States and Europe. CEFC paid Biden another $1 million to serve as a legal adviser for Patrick Ho, a CEFC executive who was indicted for trying to bribe two African officials for oil rights. Biden referred to Ho as "the fucking spy chief of China," in a May 2018 voice mail, according to Senate Republicans.
The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

A stash of classified and top-secret documents, some with the “sensitive compartmented information” designation, has just been found at Joe Biden’s private office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement at the University of Pennsylvania and, just breaking, at least one additional batch has been found at other locations.
Unfortunately, the administration that boasts “Highest Standards of Transparency” has not condescended to say where the new stash has been found, the peasants having no right to know. Quite surprisingly (or maybe not), the reaction to this from just about everybody in what passes for our “news” media was completely different from the reaction to Trump’s classified and top-secret documents at his guarded compound in Mar-a-Lago, which was raided last August. In Trump’s case no distinctions, no qualifications, no nuance needed to be considered. Trump was guilty of putting our national security at risk. He’s going to get us all killed!
Michael Beschloss, a “presidential historian” with no history degree and a dependable virtue-signaling Democrat party groupie, suggested that Trump deserved the death penalty for retaining classified documents. Former CIA Director Michael Hayden, who has been accused of lying to Congress, agreed, saying, “sounds about right.” CNN’s Laura Coates, atypically at a loss for words, said she simply does not know what to say about “the seriousness of [Trump’s] threats to national security.” Carl Bernstein, who was fortunate to be standing beside Bob Woodward when the latter brought down Nixon, said that Trump “has played fast and loose with American national security." Nicole Wallace, who used to pretend to be a Republican until MSNBC made her an offer she couldn’t refuse, described the situation as a national security crisis. Joy Reid of MSNBC was deeply upset with the “extreme risk Trump was willing to take with our national security” and so on. Biden himself, prompted by Pelly’s invitation to trash Trump, was very clear that there could be no excuse whatsoever for a president’s taking classified documents when they left office.
Quite surprisingly, once Biden was found in possession of classified and top-secret documents, all sorts of excuses have suddenly materialized.
- There were not as many classified documents found in Biden’s possession.
- Biden’s lawyers voluntarily disclosed the existence of the documents after they found them rummaging through his closets at the University of Pennsylvania, in an amazing coincidence, just before the Republicans were predicted to take over the House and just after the November 2022 election had been concluded.
- Biden did not know anything about the documents and is, therefore, as innocent as a new born babe (or a senile octogenarian).
- Biden has been instructed by his lawyers not even to ask what is in the documents so he can maintain his blissful ignorance, for which he seems to have a peculiar knack, and what passes for our “news” media readily agreed to that request (almost as if they are “an arm of the Democrat Party”).
Unfortunately, none of these arguments are convincing.
In response to the first argument, the number of classified documents is not the issue. The issue is what is in the documents. One extremely sensitive classified or top-secret document could do far more damage if it falls into the hands of our enemies than a plethora of classified or top-secret documents that deal with outdated matters.
In response to the second argument, the fact that Biden’s lawyers voluntarily disclosed the existence of the documents (at a politically convenient time) does not negate the fact that national security secrets could already have been compromised. Indeed, Biden himself, to Pelly, stated that there was no excuse for a president having such documents in his possession after he left office.
In response to the third argument, it may be true that Biden does not seem to know much about what is going on about anything, a fact that is evident to many of us, but that does not absolve him of the fact that it is his responsibility to know what classified and top-secret documents are in his possession.
In response the fourth (bizarre) argument, that Biden has been instructed by his lawyers not even to ask what is in the documents, Biden and what passes for our “news” media appear to have forgotten that the present imperative is not to keep the man who had promised to be the most transparent president ever in a state of blissful ignorance but to explain to the American people what damage may have been done to their national security.
Further, there are numerous reasons why the Biden classified documents story is, arguably, considerably worse than the corresponding Trump story.
First, since Trump left office in early 2021 the classified documents were in his possession only about two years before the FBI raided his Mar-a-Lago compound with guns drawn, whereas since Biden left office in 2016, his classified documents were in that “think tank” at the University of Pennsylvania for about six years before they were “found” at a politically convenient time, giving malicious actors much more time to access them and damage the nation.
Second, since the ultimate right to declassify documents belongs to the president, not the vice president, Trump has the right to declassify virtually any documents he pleased while he was in office whereas Biden, as a mere vice president, had no authority to declassify them.
Third, since all presidents are protected by the Secret Service for the remainder of their lives after they leave office, and since the documents in Trump’s possession were at his Mar-a-Lago compound, Trump’s walled compound with locked gates and rooms in the presence of the Secret Service, those documents were extremely well protected.
By contrast, since Biden’s classified and top-secret documents were kept at think tank at the University of Pennsylvania funded by $22 million from anonymous sources in China, there is plenty of reason to worry that the Biden document’s may have been accessed by China, the greatest threat to the U.S., according to FBI Director Christopher Wray. One would have thought that anyone with a modicum of common sense would not have kept the documents in such a compromised location in the first place. One can only wonder why this never occurred to Biden, specifically, whether the fact that his son Hunter has pocketed $31 million from Chinese elites had anything to do with his memory lapse.

Although the continuing refrain from the Democrat-Media Collusion Team has been that Trump has put the national security at risk, the real threat to our national security is a “news” media that shamelessly protects Biden and Democrat incompetence and malfeasance.

Rep. Tenney: 'We Know There's More Coming Out on Joe Biden'
(CNSNews.com) - This week's announcement that classified documents were discovered on Nov. 2 in at least one of Joe Biden's offices, including a Washington office that was funded by the University of Pennsylvania, is "just the beginning of what we need to investigate," Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) told "Mornings With Maria" on Thursday.
"But look, we know there's more coming out on Joe Biden," Tenney said:
"The laptop revealed so much that that's just the beginning, that's just the -- as I say, the tip of the iceberg, it's the bread crumb trail to what we could see. Where are the documents we don't know about around the world -- with China, with Ukraine and Burisma, and all these others? This is just the beginning of what we need to investigate.
"And it's curious that Joe Biden, you know, is the one that everybody jumped out of the race -- you know, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar all, like, tearfully backed out of the presidential race, all to back Joe Biden because they have this false narrative that Joe Biden was a regular guy that rode Amtrak, living in $10 million homes, having the lifestyle -- not just Joe, but his family.
"So I think if there's a lot the Democrats had to cover up...I have to wonder if the Democrats are like, let him go now. Tenney did defend Biden's Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, albeit with faint praise: "Well, look, I give her credit, because to be the press secretary and have to lie for the biggest liar in modern politics is quite an extraordinary obligation and job. I mean, what's she going to say? He (Biden) may not even know where they (classified documents) are."
Asked if House Republicans will investigate Chinese ties to the University of Pennsylvania, which provided Biden with an office in Washington, Tenney said yes: "I think that should be right where we start," Tenney said:
"And look at the universities across the nation who are involved with these Confucius Institutes. Some of them have backed away from them, but the Chinese influence across this country in so many ways, whether it's corporate interest and especially intervening in these universities, you know, disinformation campaigns, foreign influence, money is the big thing, and the Bidens are at the center of it.
"And just think, why aren't we seeing all those documents that are under seal at the university of Delaware for Joe Biden? I'd love to go and get an expert on analysis to go through and just -- what's in there? I'm not sure he even knows.
"This is information about a real scandal with a really corrupt president who is a true pathological liar, always has been, and now the Democrats have to own him. And I think the Republicans have to be strong in this. We have to fight just like the Democrats did. And we have the truth behind us, and we know there's more there.
"It's just a matter of getting to that, and a rigorous investigation -- good people on our committees is going to make that happen -- and I think one thing that we can all agree on --as you've seen, there's a little bit of disagreement among the Republicans -- we all agree that this is a problem.
“And I think, even among Independents and some Democrats, they think it's a problem, too, which is is why I think this is going to be an interesting year and to see how much Merrick Garland tries to scramble as we try to get the information that we need."
65 House Democrats Voted Against Creating Committee to Investigate China
Sixty-five Democrats in the House of Representatives voted on Tuesday against creating a committee to investigate China and find ways to counter the communist country’s growing international influence.
The House overwhelmingly voted to create the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party on a 365 to 65 margin, in one of the first votes since the Republicans took control of the chamber.
However, even though some members did not vote, all 65 lawmakers who voted against the committee’s creation were Democrats.
The new committee will be chaired by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), a foreign policy hawk, and is set to hold public hearings to ultimately “investigate and submit policy recommendations” on China’s economic, technological, and security progress in addition to its competition with the United States.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), during his remarks, urged members to vote to approve the creation of the committee and insisted that it would not be partisan. He said the committee would address bipartisan issues, such as the Chinese coronavirus, the economy, securing intellectual property, and bringing jobs back from China.
“You have my word and my commitment. This is not a partisan committee. This will be a bipartisan committee that is my hope, my desire, to speak with one voice on the challenges that we have,” McCarthy said. “It would look at all aspects, from economics to COVID, and when we fell into COVID, not knowing whether we could have medical supplies because China controlled so much.”

Biden Center at UPenn Received $54.6M from Anonymous Chinese Donations
At least $54 million has been donated by Chinese Communist Party-linked individuals or entities between 2014 and 2019 to the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington at the University of Pennsylvania, according to public records reported by the New York Post, where it was revealed this week that Biden had stashed a trove of classified documents.
The University of Pennsylvania announced it would create the Biden Center in 2017, the same year then-Vice President Biden left the White House. Most of the anonymous donations were given to the Biden Center after the university announced the Penn Biden Center, the Post reported.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, some of the funds were given by Shanghai real estate developer Xu Xeuqing, who reportedly has no immediate connection to the university. In 2011, Xu faced corruption allegations in China but was never charged with a crime. An expert on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) at the American Foreign Policy Council, Michael Sobolik, told the Beacon that Xu’s non-prosecution suggests he has a close relationship to the CCP.
In April, a government watchdog, NLPC’s Government Integrity Project, asked the U.S. prosecutor David Weiss to look into the anonymous donations as a part of the DOJ’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged tax and gun violations.

“We’ve asked … Weiss to pursue the larger network of individuals and institutions who benefited from millions doled out by foreign interests connected to Hunter Biden’s work in China and Ukraine,” said director of the NLPC’s Government Integrity Project Tom Anderson.
NLPC stated in its 12-page complaint that Hunter’s laptop reveals a 2017 text linking CEFC China Energy with the Penn Biden Center. CEFC apparently tried to lobby American politicians without registering as a foreign lobbyist. At the same time, Hunter had been trying to work a deal with the CEFC in which Joe Biden would receive a ten percent equity stake in the deal, according to whistleblower Tony Bobulinski, who was Hunter’s business partner.
“We don’t want to have to register as foreign agents under the FCPA [sic] which … is much more expansive than people who should know choose not to know,” Hunter texted Bobulinski on May 1, 2017.
The University of Pennsylvania has denied that the Penn Biden Center received any money from anonymous Chinese donations.
The Penn Biden Center’s source of funding is relevant because CNN reported on Tuesday that Biden’s stashed classified documents at Penn Biden Center pertain to Ukraine, Iran, and the United Kingdom.
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), the third highest ranking Republican House member, told Breitbart News that Biden’s classified stash at Penn Biden Center raises national security questions:
The fact that former Vice President Joe Biden inappropriately maintained and kept classified materials at his unsecured think tank raises serious questions about national security, particularly when the documents were related to Ukraine when Biden family members were on a Ukrainian oligarch’s payroll. The President has declassification authority, not the then Vice President. It is troubling that these documents were turned over to the National Archives on November 2nd, right before the midterm elections, and the corrupt Biden DOJ covered it up for two months.
The Biden family business has conducted many deals in Ukraine. In 2017, Hunter Biden was paid $83,000 per month to be on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company. Hunter was appointed to the board of Burisma in 2014. He had no previous experience in the energy sector or in Ukraine.

That same year, Hunter’s salary was cut in half when then-Vice President Joe Biden left the White House. Joe Biden visited Ukraine six times in seven years.
In 2015, Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion from Ukraine if the Ukrainian government did not fire the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma.
According to Breitbart News’s senior contributor Peter Schweizer, Hunter made massive sums of money from Ukraine for which he “offered no real work.”
In 2018 and 2020, Schweizer published Secret Empires and Profiles in Corruption. Each book hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and exposed how Hunter and his father flew to China aboard Air Force Two in 2013 before Hunter’s firm inked a $1.5 billion deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China, which transpired less than two weeks after the trip. Schweizer’s work also uncovered the Biden family’s other vast and lucrative foreign deals and cronyism.

1) U.S. Banks Flagged Over 150 Suspicious Financial Transactions from Biden Family
In April, U.S. banks flagged over 150 suspicious financial transactions from Hunter and James Biden, according to CBS News. The wire transfers included “large” amounts of money tripped for further review by American banks.
Wire transfers have been the tool of choice for money launderers. To mitigate the risks to the financial institutions, suspicious wire transfers over $10,000 are flagged for review. Wire transactions involving more than $10,000 are also to be reported to the Internal Revenue Service.
“The focus is on day one are those bank violations and those bank records,” Rep. James Comer (R-KY) told Breitbart News. “We are pretty confident in what we’re going to find in those. We have two bank violations. We have some bank statements in hand, and we believe that suspicious activity reports, which are bank violations when the bank notifies the federal government that we’re pretty confident that our client has committed a crime, Hunter Biden and Jim Biden have at least 150 of those. And I’ve said this before, and I come from a strong banking background, I don’t think there’s anyone in the history of the United States that’s had that many suspicious activity reports.”
Oversight Committee Asks Janet Yellen for Biden Family’s Suspicious Bank Reports
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) on Wednesday demanded Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen convey bank records from the Biden family business that were flagged by U.S. banks as suspicious.
As Breitbart News reported in April, more than 150 of the Biden family business bank transactions were flagged by U.S. banks as suspicious. Those flagged reports were sent over to Yellen for further review to ascertain if the Biden family was engaged in wrongdoing.
The Treasury Department has a longstanding practice of disclosing the reports to Congress, but the Biden administration has prevented transparency, which raises “questions about a possible effort to hide the Biden network’s suspicious business dealings,” according to the Oversight Committee.
For years, wire transfers have been the tool of choice for money launderers. To mitigate the risks to the financial institutions, suspicious wire transfers over $10,000 are flagged for review. Wire transactions involving more than $10,000 are also to be reported to the Internal Revenue Service.
International wire payments, such as those to James and Hunter, are monitored by the Office of Foreign Assets Control to ensure the money is not a part of corrupt business schemes.
On Wednesday, Comer wrote Yellen asking for the relevant flagged reports.
“We will also examine and make recommendations regarding federal laws and regulations to ensure that financial institutions have the proper internal controls and compliance programs to alert federal agencies of potential money laundering activity,” Comer wrote. “Accordingly, we make this renewed request for certain records and information in Treasury’s custody.”
Comer told Breitbart News in November the bank reports suggest Hunter and James Biden likely committed financial crimes.
“We believe that suspicious activity reports, which are bank violations when the bank notifies the federal government that we’re pretty confident that our client has committed a crime, Hunter Biden and Jim Biden have at least 150 of those,” Comer said. “And I’ve said this before, and I come from a strong banking background, I don’t think there’s anyone in the history of the United States that’s had that many suspicious activity reports.”
Comer is currently investigating the Biden family business for nine potential violations, including money laundering, wire fraud, and tax evasion. The probes are separate from the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation into Hunter Biden for tax and gun-related violations.
Recent polling shows a majority of independents want congressional investigations into the Biden family business prioritized.

Report: Janet Yellen to Remain Treasury Head at Biden’s Request as Fight over Debt Ceiling Nears
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is to remain as head of the department, which she reportedly agreed to do at the request of President Joe Biden, according to a report from Bloomberg.
White House officials familiar with the details told Bloomberg that Biden asked for her to stay in the role in mid-December, according to one official, as the president is preparing to have turnovers throughout his Cabinet.
This comes as questions arose about how long Yellen would stay in the Biden administration and a potential fight is brewing in the Republican-controlled U.S. House over the looming debt ceiling and the threat of a possible recession, Bloomberg noted. Ultimately, Yellen staying means she will be in the administration when there likely will be a fight over the debt ceiling.
A previous Bloomberg report from September stated that the treasury secretary was planning to stay in the position “well after” the midterms, even though the White House was preparing for there to be potential Cabinet-level departure, as well as of senior personnel. Then, in November, after the midterms, Yellen told NBC News’s Peter Alexander that she was expecting to stay “the duration” of the Biden presidential term.
Treasury officials declined to give Bloomberg a comment on the matter.
Bloomberg added:
The move also gives Yellen more time to see through some of her key priorities, including a revamp of the Internal Revenue Service, reforms at the World Bank and adding pressure on Russia over its Ukraine war via sanctions and the oil price cap.

Biden’s request that she stay also puts to rest chatter that the White House had been seeking to appoint Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo to lead the Treasury Department, which was seen as a move to elevate a Democratic rising star to a top-tier cabinet post.
Last year, Yellen faced criticism for downplaying the skyrocketing inflation. In fact, during an interview on CNN in May, she admitted that she “was wrong” about inflation. She also added that “unanticipated and large shocks to the economy” had “boosted energy and food prices” and that she “didn’t fully understand” supply bottlenecks that have hurt the economy.

Left-Wing Journalists Are Truly Some of the Worst People on the Planet

There is a great line in the great movie “Chasing Amy,” where one character tells another (who happens to be gay), “I feel a hate crime coming on” after they have an amusing back and forth. While writer/director Kevin Smith would likely hate my use of that line and everything about my politics, I don’t really give a damn because it’s funny and it fits how I feel when I watch leftist journalists operate in a post-Trump world (and I’m still a fan of Smith’s work anyway).
Think what you will of Donald Trump – personally, I could use a break from hearing about and from him – no one did more to expose the hypocrisy of the left than he did, and he didn’t actually do anything to cause it except to exist. Hillary Clinton was supposed to win in 2016, breaking the “glass ceiling” and ushering in an era of GOP destruction. Instead, she lost to this “monster,” setting off Democrats, both with and without press passes, into a rage-spiral that not only hasn’t stopped, but has only sped up. That included “conservatives” who seem to resent political victories they claimed they always wanted simply because they were done on his watch.
Donald Trump didn’t make them insane, his existence simply sped up the process – pulling back the curtain, or actually pulling the curtain and the rod off the wall completely. I truly despise them.
The reason for the title is watching these people “cover” the revelations of Twitter’s internal deliberations and actions on the Hunter Biden story before the 2020 election is something to behold that should make everyone sick, I know it does me. I won’t go so far as to say it would have changed the outcome of the election, but to pretend it couldn’t have is asinine. And the people pretending otherwise deserve a swift smack across the face with the cold, dead fish of reality, if only metaphorically.
But viewers and readers of the leftist media wouldn’t have any idea of the story at all. CBS News didn’t bother covering it at all. The Washington Post and New York Times burned their calories downplaying collusion between government and soon to be government officials and the silencing of a media outlet’s major story because they’re on the other team.
The Times downplayed the whole affair, writing, “Mr. Musk and Mr. Taibbi framed the exchanges as evidence of rank censorship and pernicious influence by liberals. Many others — even some ardent Twitter critics — were less impressed, saying the exchanges merely showed a group of executives earnestly debating how to deal with an unconfirmed news report that was based on information from a stolen laptop.” (Emphasis added)
This is telling that it’s a rehash of an old line of attack on the story – that it’s “hacked” info from a “stolen laptop.” When not pretending it was the most elaborate Russian spy game ever, leftists insisted the material was “stolen” and, therefore, shouldn’t be reported on because “standards of professionalism” or something. This is an industry that dines out on leaked information, classified/personal/whatever. If it’s useful to the left’s narrative they are all over it like a rash.
Speaking of rashes, the Hunter Biden story was of no interest, so it was dismissed as “stolen,” even though the chain of custody of the laptop was never in doubt or the legality of the repair shop’s ownership after it was abandoned was irrefutable. Hunter was a junkie/drunk/prostitute frequenter, the only people who didn’t know this were people who didn’t want to know it. That a junkie wouldn’t be mindful of where their stuff is or concerned with forfeiting ownership of that property, especially when they have plenty of money and don’t need that property to sell to buy more drugs, surprises no one. Still, leftists pretended the idea that it was abandoned was insane.
The evidence of the Biden family’s involvement and benefitting from Hunter’s businesses was unhelpful and needed to be buried. When CBS News finally got around to “verifying” the laptop was real, their 5-minute story explaining how they contacted computer experts who (pretty easily) verified it’s real involved no mentions of any of the content on the laptop and no follow up reporting on it either. It’s gross.
Worse was the way MSNBC treated it. Watch this segment on the Symone Sanders show (I don’t know what it’s called, nor do I care) with Michael Steele, MSNBC’s token “Republican” (challenge: find one issue on which Steele is still conservative on. I’ll wait.) It is clear from watching it that neither host nor guest know anything about the story as neither remotely address details. What they do have is talking points, likely fed to them by producers via the DNC. I’m embarrassed for them.
If NBC News had standards everyone involved in this segment would be fired. It is in no way designed to inform an audience, it is designed to discourage the audience from consuming anything related to the story – meant to prevent curiosity or investigation and perpetuate ignorance. You can disagree with the conclusions of what the story means, but to be as stupid and lazy as Steele is (to say nothing of his wholesale sell-out of everything he once professed to believe) would embarrass a kindergartener. But Mike is just happy to hammer his easy money checks. Gross.
There isn’t a single left-wing outlet that did any honest reporting on the story. Armies of flying monkeys – Ben Collins, Brandy Zadrozny, etc. – were dispatched to make sure their audiences stayed, unquestioningly, on the Democrat thought plantation. Like the entirely to of the Biden family business scandals (how did a family with no skills or abilities make so many millions in industries they had no knowledge of, but political influence over?), no efforts were spent trying to refute the facts, only to discourage anyone from learning about them. It’s not “I read these documents so you don’t have to,” it’s “You don’t need to read these documents at all, nor do you need to investigate anything related to this story. Trust me, there’s nothing there.” If journalism had an opposite, that would be it.
If “journalism” were a protected class (not just a favored one by the left), the thoughts I have toward the people earning large sums of money allegedly practicing it would be a hate crime, were they acted on. As it stands, they aren’t practicing journalism, they engage in protection. They are engaged in actively keeping their audiences ignorant out of fear they might, with access to unapproved information, draw conclusions inconvenient to the power establishment. They’ve gone from “We speak truth to power” to “We protect the powerful from the truth.” It’s a hell of thing to watch and absolutely justifies my contempt for all of them.
