(CNSNews.com) - President Biden announced Wednesday that his administration is expanding a program requiring Venezuelans to apply for asylum through a cell phone app without crossing the border to migrants from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Haiti.

Biden said that there are a number of legal pathways for migrants to come to the United States “under our existing laws.”

For example, an American citizen can sponsor an immediate family member from another country. An American company can sponsor an employee from another country. There are visas for students to study in our colleges and other special categories, and regardless of the legal pathway they process, they process them to require everyone be involved in following the law.

That’s the notion. There are laws to get here legally. That includes another legal way for someone to come to America by seeking asylum because they’re fleeing persecution like a lot of our ancestors did as well, and for many people, that’s what’s happening on our southwest border now.

Over the past several years, thousands of people have been fleeing from Central and South America and the Caribbean countries ruled by oppressive dictators, including Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and escaping gang violence which has the same impact in Haiti.

Currently, these four countries account for most of the people traveling into Mexico to start a new life by getting to the American border and trying to cross, but instead of a safe and orderly process at the border, the patchwork system simply doesn’t work as it should. We don’t have enough asylum officers or personnel to determine whether people qualify for asylum. There’s a standard you have to meet.

However, there aren’t enough immigration judges to adjudicate their claims, the president said, and his administration is taking “several steps to stiffen enforcement for those who try to come without a legal right to stay and to put in place a faster process to decide a claim of asylum.”

“Someone says I’m coming because I’m escaping oppression. Well there’s got to be a way to determine that much quicker for people who are credibly seeking protection from persecution,” he said.

The president explained that over the summer there was “a huge spike in Venezuelans traveling through Mexico and attempting to enter the United States without going through our legal processes.”

“We responded by using and ensuring that there are two safe and lawful ways for someone leaving the country to come to America,” he said.

First, if they’re seeking asylum, they can use an app on their cell phone called CBP One to schedule an appointment at a point of entry and make their asylum claim there without crossing the border unlawfully, and have a decision determined by an asylum officer. Do they qualify?

Second, in October, we worked with the Mexican government to launch a new parole program. There’s another program … called the parole program that immediately showed results by reducing the number of people crossing the border unlawfully. The way this program works, one must have a lawful sponsor here in the United States who agrees to sponsor you to get here.

Then, that person has to undergo rigorous background checks and apply from outside the United States and not cross the border illegally. In the meantime, if they apply and their application is approved they can use the same app, the CBP One app, to present at a port of entry and be able to work in the United States legally for two years.

That’s the process, but if their application is denied, but they attempt to cross into the United States unlawfully, they will be returned back to Mexico and will not be eligible for this program after that.

Biden said that the new process has resulted in a dramatic decrease in Venezuelans entering the country illegally.

This new process is orderly. It’s safe, and it’s humane, and it works. Since we created the new program, the number of Venezuelans trying to enter America without going through a legal process has dropped dramatically from about 1,100 per day to less than 250 per day on average. That’s 700 people on average every single day who are not crossing into America illegally.

Today I’m announcing the administration’s going to expand the parole program for people not only from Venezuela, but from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Haiti. Again, these four countries - Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Haiti - these four countries account for most of the people now traveling into Mexico to try to start a new life by trying to cross the border into the United States of America on the southwest border.

We anticipate this action’s going to substantially reduce the number of people attempting to cross the southwest border without going through a legal process. In fact, today I’m announcing that Mexico has agreed to allow the return of up to 30,000 persons per month who try, get caught and get sent back from those four countries or apprehended while attempting to get unlawfully across the border, the southwest border.

My message is this. If you’re trying to leave Cuba, Nicaragua, or Haiti, or have agreed to begin a journey to America, do not, do not just show up at the border. Stay where you are and apply legally from there. Starting today, if you don’t apply through the process, you will not be eligible for this new parole program.

Let me reiterate. You need a lawful sponsor in the United States of America, number one, and you need to undergo a rigorous background check, number two. If your application is approved and you show up at a U.S. airport or when and where directed, you have access, but if your application is denied, and you’re attempting to cross into the United States unlawfully, you will not be allowed to enter.

Biden said that despite these new requirements, Congress still needs to pass a comprehensive immigration law.

Biden Creates a “Shadow” Immigration System
Washington, D.C. (January 5, 2023) - After ignoring the border crisis for two years, today the Biden administration announced new border policies which includes minor changes to tactics, but no change to long-term strategy.

The administration is expanding its unlawful use of immigration “parole” to admit and give work permits to 30,000 people a month (360,000 a year) from Venezuela, Haiti, Cuba, and Nicaragua. At the same time, people from these countries who enter between ports of entry will be returned to Mexico, which has agreed to take back up to 30,000 illegal border-crossers a month from those countries. There is no mention of what will happen if the number exceeds 30,000. The Center exposed the development of this program back in November.

CIS Executive Director Mark Krikorian said, “This is merely political damage control. The Biden administration continues to push ‘safe, orderly, and humane processing’ of migrants with no right to enter the U.S., instead of deterring them from trying to come in the first place.”

George Fishman, a Senior Legal Fellow at the Center, said, “President Biden is taking his perversion of the immigration ‘parole’ power to a new low. He is literally pushing the Constitution's separation of powers into the gutter by creating a shadow immigration system totally divorced from the will of Congress and the American people. He plans to proudly parole into the U.S. up to 360,000 otherwise illegal aliens a year with no basis in law, and we know that they will never leave.”

Elizabeth Jacobs, the Center’s director of regulatory affairs and policy, comments, “The Biden administration must close loopholes in the asylum system in order to properly address the border crisis. As long as the administration continues to skirt mandatory detention laws and abuse its parole authority, not much will change.”

Mayorkas: Border 'Encounters' Are 'Straining Our System,' But 'We Are Managing the Number of Encounters'

(CNSNews.com) - In a video interview with The Washington Post on Wednesday, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas acknowledged that the unprecedented surge of undocumented migrants crossing the Southwest border is "straining the system."

But in the next breath, Mayorkas also said the Biden administration is "managing" those encounters.

Mayorkas spoke on the same day President Biden said he intends to (finally) visit the overrun border next week, when he goes to Mexico for a meeting with other North American leaders.

“That’s my intention,” Biden said about going to the border. “We’re working out the details now.”

Mayorkas told the Washington Post on Wednesday:

"There's no question that the number of encounters that we are experiencing at the border is straining our system. and this hearkens back to the question you previously posed, which is, we're operating within a system that is fundamentally broken.

“No one disagrees with that. We just can’t seem to agree upon the solution, and a solution is long, long overdue.

“Within the broken immigration system that we are operating, we are managing the number of encounters, and we are prepared to address the end of Title 42. We’ve been preparing for this since well beyond last year.”

Responding to Mayorkas on Thursday morning, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said the Biden administration has "sabotaged" border security:

"They talk about it being broken," Paxton said about the border:

"Yeah, it's never been perfect. But we can see under the Trump administration, the numbers of illegal immigrants coming across the border and the amount of crime involved with that, whether it was drugs or human trafficking other things, was at a much lower level than it is now. It's significantly worse.

"They've created this -- they've done it on purpose. And the fact they want more money -- until they can figure out how to do it the right way, I wouldn't give them another dime until we know how they're going to use that that money.

“Because for all we know, they're just going to use this money to encourage more illegal immigration and more drug trafficking."

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said it encountered 233,740 people crossing into the U.S. in November, the third highest monthly number on record, behind the 241,136 in May 2022 and the 235,785 in April 2022.

The chart below shows the steady increase in border-crossers, many of them asylum-seekers, since Biden took office in January 2021.

(Source: U.S. Customs and Border Protection)
(Source: U.S. Customs and Border Protection)

Those who request asylum -- hundreds of thousands of them in the past two years -- are fanned out into border communities and the U.S. interior, pending immigration hearings – if they show up for those eventual hearings.

The Biden Homeland Security Department has issued a "six-pillar plan" to prepare for the lifting of Title 42, the public health order, which is expected to result in even more migrants crossing daily into the United States.

But the plan, summarized below, does not appear to do much of anything to discourage mass arrivals:

-- Pillar 1: Surging resources, including personnel, transportation, medical support, and facilities to support border operations.

-- Pillar 2: Increasing CBP processing efficiency and moving with deliberate speed to mitigate potential overcrowding at Border Patrol stations and alleviate the burden on the

surrounding border communities.

-- Pillar 3: Administering consequences for unlawful entry [those not claiming asylum], including removal, detention, and prosecution.

-- Pillar 4: Bolstering the capacity of NGOs to receive noncitizens after they have been processed by CBP and are awaiting the results of their immigration removal proceedings.

-- Pillar 5: Targeting and disrupting the transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) and smugglers...

-- Pillar 6: Collaborating with international and federal partners to deter irregular migration...

Democrats Push for Pro-Amnesty ‘Moderate’ GOP Speaker

Democrats are trying to sneak a pro-amnesty GOP legislator into the House Speaker’s seat.

“I would consider the right Republican, someone I could trust,” said Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Ca), a pro-migration Democrat close to California’s Silicon Valley. Khanna continued:

Brian Fitzpatrick, Mike Gallagher, who actually spoke eloquently on the floor. David Joyce. But there need to be two conditions. One, you can’t have debt ceiling — the debt ceiling debate or shutdown as something that takes the country hostage, and two, there would have to be some agreement on subpoena power. But I’m open to a Republican who could work to put the interests of the American people first.

Joyce (R-OH) and Fitzpatrick (R-PA) are members of the GOP’s business-backed, pro-amnesty wing, despite GOP voters’ deep opposition to labor migration.

In March 2021, Fitzpatrick and Joyce backed a deal that would amnesty farmworkers — and then allow farm companies to import endless labor instead of investing in productivity-boosting machinery. The companies’ imported labor would be rewarded with citizenship, not with the fair-market wages that keep rural towns and communities prosperous.

Khana wants to dramatically increase legal migration. “We’re trying to become the first multiracial, multi-ethnic superpower in the world,” Khanna told the New York Times in March 2022. “It will be an extraordinary achievement … we will ultimately triumph,” he boasted.

Other Democrats have hinted they would support just-retired Michigan Rep. Fred Upton, who also voted for the farm amnesty, and touted a business-backed amnesty in 2021.

n contrast, the GOP’s leader and primary candidate for the post, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Ca), has promised to block any vote for an amnesty bill.

“You can’t tie the two [amnesty and border security] — you’ve got to just go fix the border to start out before you can deal with immigration,” McCarthy said in October.

In May 2022, McCarthy also endorsed an immigration strategy pushed by a wide range of reform groups. “I saw more support for taking some actions than I’ve ever seen,” Tom Homan, the former director of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, told Alex Marlow on Thursday’s edition of Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Daily.

In recent weeks, McCarthy has made concessions to GOP immigration reformers.

The choice of Speaker is critical for pro-American reforms. The Speaker has complete control over what legislation is brought to the floor for a vote. So a pro-amnesty Speaker would have the power to let the Democrats — with a few Republican legislators — push a wealth-shifting amnesty through the House and into the Senate.

Any amnesty would shift more wealth from heartland states to the coasts, and from young wage-earners to older investors.

The federal government has long operated an economic policy of “Extraction Migration” which pulls human resources from poor countries and use the imported people to grow Wall Street and the economy. The colonization-like policy has extracted vast amounts of human resources from needy countries and has killed thousands. of unrecognized migrants.

The inflow of workers, renters, and consumers has successfully forced down Americans’ wages and boosted rents and housing prices. The inflow has also pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors, and reduced native-born Americans’ clout in local and national elections.

For years, establishment media outlets have hidden this damage from Americans.

"Many Americans forget is that our country is located against a socialist failed state that is promising to descend even further into chaos – not California, the other one. And the Mexicans, having reached the bottom of the hole they have dug for themselves, just chose to keep digging by electing a new leftist presidente who wants to surrender to the cartels and who thinks that Mexicans have some sort of “human right” to sneak into the U.S. and demographically reconquer it." KURT SCHLICHTER

"The newly elected president, Andrés López-Obrador, was gleeful during the election when he told his compadres they should all move to America, illegally.  His encouragement along with his pro-poverty policies will set the stage for another tsunami of illegal immigration."

                                                                           COLIN FLAHERTY

What we are seeing here is plain old garden variety Mexican meddling in our internal affairs, this time rooted in some icky festering wounded national pride, some bid from Mexico to assert itself over U.S. laws in the wake of Trump's muscle on Mexico over the illegal migrant surge, using the U.S. courts with their continuous anti-Trump rulings to make itself the sovereign here. Mexico has already sent their illegals and now they want to take over gubernatorially through the courts, which puts this act on a continuum. Migration 2022: Republicans Step Towards the Center as Democrats Open Borders

Republican legislators successfully killed multiple amnesties and job-outsourcing bills in Congress during 2021 and 2022, but Democrats used their power in federal agencies to maximize the inflow of legal, illegal, and quasi-legal migrants.

“All efforts in Congress to push past immigration limits failed [because of Republican legislators, and that] reinforced the administration’s commitment to creating their own immigration system through executive fiat,” without regard to Congress’s annual caps on immigration, said Mark Krikorian, the director of the Center for Immigration Studies.

Through the year, Democrats increasingly favored migrants above Americans — even though roughly six million working-age American men have fallen out of the workforce since 2000.

So Democrats in Congress helped Democrats in the White House smuggle roughly 2.2 million southern migrants over the southern border, and also to supercharge the transfer of legal migrants and visa workers into U.S. jobs. “The issue of immigration is how do we make sure that companies and businesses have the opportunity to employ people,” labor secretary Marty Walsh said in December.

That partnership allowed at least 3.3 million legal, illegal, and quasi-legal migrants into the jobs, schools, careers, and housing that are needed by the 60 million adults and parents who earn less than $1,000 a week. The inflow is so huge that it added roughly one migrant for every American birth during the year.

This elite-created migration also helped to spike inflation — especially for housing. The result is that migration-spiked inflation outpaced wage growth, and median wages fell by 1.4 percent for 150 million Americans in President Joe Biden’s cheap-labor economy.

The establishment media — such as the TV networks and the New York Times — hide the scale and economic impact of Biden’s migration from most Americans.

But the migration inflow is shifting national opinion against migration, according to YouGov polls that ask Americans if the migration makes America “worse off” or “better off.”

In September 2019, the “worse off” number was just 19 percent, and the “better off” number was 43 percent. In July 2022, a 35 percent plurality in a YouGov poll said immigration makes the United States “worse off,” while 31 percent said immigration makes the U.S. “better off.”

That result is matched in polls funded by business groups and by progressives, such as an August poll by NPR, which showed that most Americans describe Biden’s migration as an invasion.

CNN’s 2022 exit poll showed a 53 percent to 39 percent “help” vs “hurt” result.

The public reaction is even more hostile when Americans are offered an excuse to reject Democrat party demands or the establishment’s 1950s fake narrative that America is “a Nation of Immigrants.” In December, for example, four out of five Americans said they wanted to keep the Title 42 anti-migration barrier.

The rising opposition to migration is especially high among Republicans. In November, one in six Republicans — 16 percent — said their top priority is immigration policy.

Four weeks later, the House GOP caucus joined with some Democrats to reject the EAGLE Act.

The EAGLE Act was a migration giveaway to coastal investors and Fortune 500 companies. It would have spiked the inflow of low-wage, no-rights foreign workers into the white-collar careers sought by many skilled Americans. The bill passed the House easily in 2019 and everyone expected it to pass because the GOP is normally favorable to the business and investor groups that have been pushing the bill for several years.

The EAGLE Act was blocked in December because the Republican legislators increasingly distrust the coastal investors that fund the Democrat party — and that also fund myriad progressive groups that demand more migration, mandatory diversity, transgender claims, radical schooling, extreme environmentalism, and much else that damages the civic rules which ordinary Americans need to manage their communities.

Republican legislators also blocked a huge amnesty that was touted as decent aid for a few million younger migrants, and they blocked a farmworker amnesty that would have devastated rural towns by allowing agriculture employers to hire unlimited foreign workers in exchange for tickets to citizenship. Midwestern GOP Senators also recognized how migration hurts their heartland communities — and so they blocked a bill that would have allowed Fortune 500 companies to hire myriad foreign workers for a vast range of midwestern jobs sought by U.S. graduates.

GOP leaders shut down a plan to expand the inflow of Afghans into American society.

Republican legislators also shut down Biden’s major amnesty bill that would have created a national amnesty for at least 12 million illegal immigrants. That bill would have also accelerated the inflow of chain-migration migrants, so shrinking wages and spiking inflation.

The amnesties failed partly because impatient agency officials opened the border to a rising flood of migrants, said Krikorian. “The border is such a disaster that it is made the kind of measures that business wants radioactive to not just among Republicans,” said Krikorian. “Even a lot of Democrats probably don’t see any need to take more chances politically,” he added.

GOP leaders are also more skeptical of the business donors that provide vast funding to Democrats and their networks of progressive groups, he added. “If they called for something 15 years ago, maybe Republicans would have jumped and helped them out,” said Krikorian, adding:

But nowadays, they’re not likely to get a warmer reception from a lot of Republican offices than they get from Planned Parenthood or the AFL CIO … Big corporations, but not only in tech, are now part of the left’s coalition. So do you so why would Republicans cater to them?

The Democrats were bound to make gains in 2021 and 2022 — they controlled the Senate, the House, and the White House.

This allowed congressional Democrats to block spending curbs on Biden’s off-the-books immigration system. So Biden’s deputies admitted roughly 2 million southern migrants, plus 250,000 Afghans and Ukrainians, plus 25,000 refugees. This huge inflow pushed the foreign-born population up to one in six of the population — and is effectively replacing the millions of American children not born because of economic pressure on American families.

Democrats also converted more migrants into legal residents and citizens. For example, they converted 1.5 million migrants into Democratic-leaning citizens before the 2022 mid-term election — so helping to defeat numerous Republican candidates in the 2022 elections. In January 2021, all 50 Republican senators lost their jobs as members of the majority when immigrant voters helped elect two Democrat senators in Georgia.

Democrats are backed by major investors and donors who want to expand the inflow of migrant workers, consumers, and renters.

In turn, the investors’ deputies in the TV and newspaper industry ensure that corporate-employed reporters can only produce very favorable coverage of migrants’ concerns. The result is that establishment media push the “Nation of Immigrants” narrative to hide the elite-backed policy of “Extraction Migration” which pulls poor people from poor nations into the U.S. so they can spike corporate revenues and Wall Street stock values.

The investors also fund a huge network of astroturf groups that are filled with ideologically and emotionally motivated advocates that are eager to help the elites divorce themselves from ordinary Americans. “It’s been a tumultuous year for immigration but I want to close it out by expressing my gratitude to everyone who’s helped move forward the cause of immigrants’ rights,” said a December 31 tweet by Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, the policy director at the American Immigration Council.  “In a world that can often be harsh to the stranger, embracing those who are different than us is a noble goal,” he tweeted, without regard to the impact on his fellow Americans — or the massive death toll of migrants.

Republicans stopped the multiple amnesties — but it did not stop the Democrats’ extraction of roughly 3.5 million legal, quasi-legal, illegal, and temporary migrants for jobs, apartments, homes, and careers throughout the United States.

But the Democrats and their business allies have triggered a multi-national rush of wage-cutting, rent-spiking migrants, into American society — and there is little sign they can control the rush in 2023 and 2024.

Biden and his deputies claim they are managing the migration, Krikorian said, but “its all [political] damage control.”

The question now is whether Republicans can be pressured by voters and led by reform politicians to side with votes and develop a coherent plan to stop the mass migration that divides and impoverishes America outside the elite enclaves along the coast.

That plan would try to win over the increasingly skeptical swing voters with arguments about pocketbook damage, investment, jobs, and wages — as well as drug crimes and chaos. A March 2021 report by a business-backed group urged progressives to make emotional arguments and to downplay economic claims for more migration:

It is better to focus on all of the aforementioned sympathetic details of those affected [by an amnesty] than to make economic arguments, including arguments about wages or demand for labor. As we have seen in the past, talking about immigrants doing jobs Americans won’t do is not a helpful frame, and other economic arguments are less effective than what is recommended above.

But any GOP focus on pocketbook aspects of migration would anger the investors who want more migrants to fill jobs and housing that would otherwise go to young Americans. The donors are eager to slam illegal migration during political campaigns — Chaos! Crime! Illegal! Drugs! — but oppose any policy promise that would help Americans by reducing immigration.

The result is Republican rhetoric that is intended to not appeal to many swing voters — but just to boost turnout by GOP loyalists and to show support for local business elites.

“The thing I am most concerned with is a terrorist possibility of folks coming over,” Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) said at a July 25 press event at the border. “I’ve met with my farmers and ranchers two days ago, and they’re going ‘Tony, there’s thousands of [illegal migrant] people coming through our sector, but yet I can’t find [immigrant] workers to help in the fields.’”

“The Republicans have yet to make a case why they’d make any difference,” Mike McKenna, a political consultant in Virginia, told Breitbart News in July:

I don’t think [congressional Republicans and Democrats] are all the same, but if they’re going to vote the same, and if they’re going to talk the same, then yeah, normal people are going to conclude they’re the same and ask, “What’s the point of voting?”

“I’m not holding my breath [waiting for a GOP] pro-employee argument against immigration,” said Krikorian, adding:

More people are making that argument. So that is a positive sign, and the new Congress is going to have some high-profile members like [Sen.] JD Vance (R-OH) and others who will bring a pro-worker element to their critique of Biden’s immigration policy. That’s at least a move in the right direction. But I don’t expect [GOP leader Rep.] Kevin McCarthy [R-CA] or [Rep. Elise] Stefanik [R-NY] to be making that kind of argument.

Still, McCarthy has declared his opposition to a “comprehensive” amnesty deal migration and is touting a bill that would tie the hands of Biden’s pro-migration homeland secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas.

“Maybe I’ll be surprised — I hope I’m surprised,” Krikorian added.

Sanctuary State Colorado Begins Busing Border Crossers to Sanctuary City New York

Officials in the sanctuary state of Colorado, with an influx of border crossers and illegal aliens arriving, are sending migrant buses to New York City, also a sanctuary jurisdiction.

For nearly a year, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has sent busloads of border crossers and illegal aliens to sanctuary cities like New York City, Chicago, and Washington, DC in the hopes of offloading the costs associated with illegal immigration to regions that purport to support the migrant arrivals.

New Yorkers are expected to foot a bill that totals “at least” $600 million to provide public services, housing, and education for the thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens. The majority of those arriving are so poor that they are remaining in the city’s overloaded homeless shelter system.

Now, New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) says the sanctuary state of Colorado is sending border crossers and illegal aliens to the city, according to Politico:

“We were notified yesterday that the governor of Colorado is now stating that they are going to be sending migrants to places like New York and Chicago,” Adams said during a radio appearance. “This is just unfair for local governments to have to take on this national obligation.” [Emphasis added]

Last month, when border crossers and illegal aliens began arriving in Denver, Colorado, Mayor Michael Hancock (D) declared a state of emergency. The arrivals accounted for just 0.01 percent of the nation’s illegal immigration crisis at the southern border.

Hancock and Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) suggest they are simply helping, with millions in state taxpayer money, border crossers and illegal aliens reach their final destination which so happens to be New York City, among other places.

The move is seemingly the first time a sanctuary jurisdiction has sought to offload the burden of illegal immigration to another sanctuary jurisdiction.

Despite their policies to protect illegal aliens from arrest and deportation, sanctuary politicians have denounced Abbott’s migrant buses as inhumane.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), a fierce proponent of the state’s sanctuary state policy, said last month that the constant flow of illegal immigration to the United States is particularly a “burden” to his state and causing “budgetary pressures.”

Cornyn: Mexico Becoming a ‘Failed State’ on Our Southern Border

1:21

Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) said Tuesday on FNC’s “America’s Newsroom” that Mexico is becoming a “failed state” on our southern border.

Anchor Dana Perino asked, “What can our president do to put pressure on the Mexican president to do his job?”

Cornyn said, “We’ve talked a lot about failed states like Afghanistan overseas. We have a failed state, I believe, on our southern border. President López Obrador, there has waved a white flag when it comes to the cartels. As you pointed out, they continue to get rich, smuggling people and drugs into the United States, drugs that took the lives of 108,000 Americans last year alone. I don’t think they’ve been a responsible partner. Basically, President López Obrador said our American agents who were there to try to help them control the flow of people and drugs are no longer welcome in that country. So I’m increasingly concerned is becoming essentially a failed state on our southern border.”

He added, “We need to stop with the current crisis at the border, and then maybe we can have a more rational conversation what comes next. This has been the stumbling point with our Democratic colleagues and White House.”

THE NEXT MEXICAN INVASION IS AT HAND:

"Mexican president candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador called for mass immigration to the United States, declaring it a "human right". Mexico: Where Is Your Shame?

At a demonstration Wednesday in Mexico City against Arizona's law.

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Immigration: Mexico's government gloated triumphantly after a federal judge's injunction blocked Arizona's immigration law. But it's no victory for Mexico. In fact, Mexico's leaders ought to be mortified.

As radical immigration activists crowed with glee and the Obama administration claimed victory, Mexico's government joined the applause.

Calling Judge Susan Bolton's injunction Wednesday "a step in the right direction," Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa declared: "The government of Mexico would like to express its recognition for the determination demonstrated by the federal government of the United States and the actions of the civil organizations that organized lawsuits against the SB 1070 law."

In reality, it ought to be ashamed. Supposedly framed as an issue of federal power pre-empting state power, it's hardly Mexico's business. But Mexico made a big show of saying its interest was in protecting its nationals from the dreadful racism of Arizona that its own citizens, curiously enough, keep fleeing to.

Espinosa said her government was busy collecting data on civil rights violations and her department had issued an all-out travel warning to Mexican nationals about Arizona.

That's where Mexico's hypocrisy is just too much.

First, Mexico encourages illegal immigration to the U.S. Oh, it says it doesn't, but it prints comic book guides for would-be illegal immigrants and provides ID cards for illegals once they get here. In Arizona alone, Mexico keeps five consulates busy.

That's not out of love for its own citizens, but because Mexicans send cash back to Mexico that helps finance the government.

Instead of selling its wasteful state-owned oil company or getting rid of red tape to create jobs in Mexico, Mexico spends the hard currency from remittances. It fails to look at why its citizens leave.

According to the Heritage Foundation-Wall Street Journal 2010 Index of Economic Freedom, Mexico's big problem is — no shock — government corruption, where it ranks below the world average.

That's where Mexico's cartels come in.

Mexico's encouragement of illegal immigration undercuts its valiant war against its smuggling cartels. The cartels' prowess and firepower have made them the only ones who can smuggle effectively across the border. U.S. law enforcers say they now control human-smuggling on our southern border.

Feed them immigrants and they grow more cash-rich — and right now, immigrant smuggling is about a third of the cartels' income.

Mass graves and car bombings are signs of criminal organizations getting bigger, and more powerful. Juarez, which has lost 5,000 people this year, bleeds because cartels fight over not just who gets the drug routes, but who gets the illegal-immigrant smuggling routes, too.

Aside from the cartel mayhem in Mexico, the bodies are piling up in the Arizona desert and U.S. Border Patrol rescues of abandoned illegals left to die have risen.

It's not the desert's fault, and it's certainly not Uncle Sam's fault, as activists claim. No, it's the fact that Mexicans are encouraged to emigrate. Criminal cartels don't fear abandoning their human cargo in the desert, as long as Mexico does nothing and blames Uncle Sam.

Hearing Mexico's government now cheer the Arizona ruling, which will only encourage more illegal immigration, gives the country's regime a pretty inhuman face.

If Mexico had any decency, it would do all it could to discourage illegal immigration and keep a respectful silence about Arizona.

It needs U.S. support for its war on cartels. Instead of insulting American citizens, Mexico should confront directly the reasons why its people are so desperate to leave, and do all in its power to destroy the cartels that are slowly killing the nation. That includes defunding the murderous gangs by halting illegal immigration.

Mexico’s President Says Biden Responsible for Migrant Surge at Border

ILDEFONSO ORTIZ and BRANDON DARBY

Expectations created by President Joe Biden about better treatment for migrants led to the current border surge, said Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO).

During his daily news conference, AMLO spoke about the ongoing border crisis and said the increase in migrants entering Mexico and heading to the U.S. is partly due to the expectations created by President Biden.

AMLO: “Expectations were created that with the Government of President Biden there would be a better treatment of migrants. And this has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, wanting to cross the border thinking that it is easier to do so” pic.twitter.com/TNrZQamuWK

— José Díaz-Briseño (@diazbriseno) March 23, 2021

“Expectations were created that with the Government of President Biden there would be a better treatment of migrants. And this has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, wanting to cross the border thinking that it is easier to do so,” AMLO said.

The statements come one day after Mexico’s military confirmed the deployment of 8,700 soldiers to curb the growing number of migrants traveling through the country.

Mexico’s president says he will share with President Joe Biden his willingness to find a way to legalize the flow of migrants from Central America and Mexico as a way to meet American labor needs.

“I have a teleconference with Biden on Monday and we are going to talk about that topic,” President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) said this weekend during one of his news conferences. “Let’s fix the migratory flow, legalizing it, to give guarantees to the workers so they don’t risk their lives, and that their human rights are protected.”

During the conference, AMLO said the U.S. would need about 600,000 to 800,000 laborers per year for economic growth. The Mexican politician brought up the Bracero program when the U.S. provided migrant farmworkers with permits during World War II.

The topic of the migrant workflow had not been previously discussed publicly by the Foreign Relations Ministry or the Interior Secretariat ahead of the virtual meeting between Lopez Obrador and Biden.

The issue comes as Mexican authorities see a dramatic rise in human smuggling activities as thousands of Central American migrants continue to make their way north. Mexican officials predicted a dramatic rise in migratory flows at the start of 2021 due to work shortages from the pandemic and recent natural disasters that shook Central America. Officials in Mexico did not publicly discuss the political effect that a Biden Administration would have on the matter.

Mexican authorities have found several large groups of migrants at hotels or being moved in tractor-trailers in recent weeks. Officials are also seeing a spike in ransom kidnappings where cartel-connected human smugglers hold migrants to further extort their families.

WHAT DOES MEXICO DO WITH THEIR OWN ILLEGALS???

THEY DEPORT THEM ON THE SPOT!!!

https://mexicanoccupation.blogspot.com/2018/11/as-mexico-invades-and-loots-america.html

Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:

1.) in the country legally;

2.)  have the means to sustain themselves economically;

3.) not destined to be burdens on society;

4.)  of economic and social benefit to society;

5.)  of good character and have no criminal records; and

6.)  contributors to the general well-being of the nation.

The law also ensures that:

7.)  immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;

8.)  foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;

9.)  foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;

10.)  foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;

11.)  foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;

12.)  those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison!!!!!!!!!

There are many reasons why, for the first time, the government of Mexico would agree to work cooperatively with the United States over an extremely serious immigration-related issue. It is likely, of course that President Trump was not just posturing when he said he would cut off aid to Mexico and other countries who permit the United States to be invaded by illegal aliens.

Under Guzman’s leadership, the Sinaloa Cartel became the largest drug trafficking organization in the world with influence in every major U.S. city.

The allegations against Pena Nieto are not new. The investigation was carried out by Mexican award-winning Journalist Carmen Aristegui and her team….The subsequent scandal became known as “Monexgate” for the cash cards that were given out during Peña Nieto’s campaign. The allegations against Pena Nieto went largely unreported by U.S. news outlets.

Mexico cynically wades into El Paso shooting debacle, brimming with hypocrisy

By Monica Showalter

As if the El Paso mass murder couldn't be a more noxious showcase for political bad behavior, in wades the Mexican government, launching lawsuits against the U.S. for supposedly failing to protect its citizens, which is something they've never bothered about before. According to NBC News:

Mexico on Sunday threatened to take legal action against the United States for failing to protect its citizens after this weekend's mass shooting in the border city of El Paso.

Of the 20 people gunned down at a Walmart at the Cielo Vista Mall, at least seven were Mexican citizens, and Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard promised Mexico City will act.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry called the attack in El Paso a "terrorist act against innocent Mexicans."

Apparently, they've seen how their individual illegals can exploit loopholes in U.S. law to their advantage, and now that bastion of peace and tranquility to our south would like a serving of the same. Instead of warning Mexican potential illegals to stay out of the U.S. the way a normal country would do, they want to muscle the U.S. legal system to their benefit, creating a sort of right to protection in the U.S. which is something Mexicans certainly don't have back home.

And more to the point, the Mexican state would like to blame the U.S. for the action of the lone freak who shot up the Wal-Mart in El Paso, same as the average Democratic politician. The fact that the freak is going to the executioner's table is irrelevant, because what they're really after is putting the U.S. and President Trump in particular on trial.

According to a summary of their doings from Axios:

Mexico threatened legal action Sunday against the U.S. for failing to protect its citizens after a shooting in the border city of El Paso, Texas, killed 20 people, including 6 Mexican nationals, the New York Times reports.

Details: Mexico's Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said the Mexican government was looking into extraditing the suspect to Mexico on a terrorism charge over Saturday's shooting, per CNN. Mexico also plans legal action against the seller who provided the weapon used in the attack, according to the NYT.

What they're saying: Ebrard said in a Twitter video, translated by NBC News, that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador wants to "ensure that Mexico’s indignation translates" into "expeditious and forceful" legal action for the country to take a role and demand that conditions are established that protect Mexicans in the U.S.

The big picture: Many Mexicans are aware of an anti-immigrant screed apparently posted online by the suspect just before the shooting and they see the attack as an expression of tensions between the U.S. and Mexico over immigration, guns and violence, often fueled by President Trump's policies and rhetoric, the Times notes.

On those grounds, any American who's attacked, assaulted, drinks poisoned liquor, or is killed in Mexico, should have grounds to do the same. Failure to protect, don't you know. Such irony. Turns out more Americans (75 of them) have been killed in Mexico than all the remaining countries of the worldcombined. Here's what Forbes reported last year:

In 2016, according to my analysis of the data, more Americans were reported killed by homicide in Mexico than the combined total of Americans killed by homicide in every other country abroad.

More than 31 million Americans visited Mexico in 2016, the National Travel & Tourism Office says, and State Department data shows there were reports of 75 American homicide victims there. In comparison, 49 million Americans traveled to all other foreign countries, and 69 were reported killed by homicide.

That's quite some hypocrisy they've got, given the number of American dead bodies they've got on their record. Think they'll go along with reciprocity? Not the Mexican government we know. The double standard stands.

But that's hardly their only hypocrisy. Here's another logic joke from them:

They encourage their nationals to emigrate illegally (remember the Mexican government comic books? Apparently, they're still distributing them) to get rid of potential discontents, and now they complain when the place, loaded as it is with unvetted migrants they don't want around, is somehow not safe? Any city loaded with illegals is a den of crime -- just look at the crime in Chicago, Baltimore or any sanctuary city. Apparently, those killings are O.K. by the Mexicans so long as they are done by other Mexicans or maybe Central Americans. But this Dallas-area white interloper doing the killing is something different, something sue-worthy? They've tolerated crime for years on both sides of the border, not doing a thing so long as the distilled remittances keep coming. Now at this late date, with this lone freak, they are suddenly upset.

Now for a third hypocrisy: They say they want to extradite the maggot? What the heck would that be for? Like El Chapo Guzman, he'd be in a fine position to continue his Internet postings in a Mexican prison because all kinds of contraband is tolerated in Mexican prisons, particularly cell phones, and anything can be bribed for. For that matter, he'd be in a great position to escape, much as Guzman did from Mexican prisons, more than once. The creep, under Mexican law, would also be spared the death penalty, something he's not going to be spared if he stays in Texas. It looks like this extradition move is some sort of revolting bid to save him and allow him to flourish. You can bet he'd be a happy camper if somehow he got extradited to Mexico. Sorry amigos: The maggot is going to pay.

This garbage should be smacked down for the hypocrisy it is and as fast as possible. We don't need their government ruling over here and we sure as heck shouldn't be paying them.

EXCLUSIVE: 209K Migrants Apprehended over 4 Months in El Paso Border Sector

Border Patrol agents in El Paso apprehended nearly 7,400 migrants over the weekend. (U.S. Border Patrol/El Paso Sector)

El Paso Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 209,000 migrants over the last four months. This compares to almost 67,000 one year earlier.

Border Patrol agents in the El Paso Sector experienced a massive surge in migrant border crossings in the last four months of 2022. During this time, agents apprehended nearly 209,000 migrants — an increase of nearly 213 percent.

The surge vaulted the El Paso Sector into the number one spot for border apprehensions leading to a disaster declaration by El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser in December. The disaster declaration came after the Biden Administration dumped more than 10,000 migrants into El Paso during the week leading up to the arrival of a life-threatening polar vortex.

Actions by the Biden Administration left migrants waking up on the streets of El Paso during the Christmas weekend in freezing conditions, Breitbart Texas reported.

“We were able to get 238 people off the streets last night,” Mayor Oscar Leeser said during a city council meeting where they extended the disaster declaration for an additional 30 days.

Biden Administration policies prohibit migrants who crossed the border and were not apprehended and processed by Border Patrol agents from being admitted to federally funded shelters, Breitbart Texas reported. Most of the migrants in this category are Venezuelans still subject to expulsion from the U.S. under Title 42.

The apprehension of nearly 209,000 migrants during the last four months stands in stark contrast to the sector’s record in FY2020, President Donald Trump’s last full fiscal year in office. During FY2020, El Paso Sector agents apprehended a total of 54,396 migrants, according to the CBP Nationwide Encounters Report.
