Does the United Nations know no shame? As an organization created to implement and uphold the highest ideals of peace, justice, and human rights, how is it possible that an ambassador from Iran’s theocratic fascist regime will be appointed as chair of the UN Human Rights Council Social Forum in November? The appointment of Ambassador Ali Bahreini will make a mockery of the universal declaration of human rights and international conventions, given that Iran is the leading violator of these principles. The UNHRC Social Forum is expected to “focus on the contribution of science, technology, and innovation to the promotion of human rights, including in the context of post-pandemic recovery”.
How can an agent of the mullahs’ regime, that has executed at least 92 prisoners in the past 3 weeks in a killing spree designed to terrorize the population and quell political unrest, take on this role? Moreover, dozens of prisoners on death row are currently being transferred to solitary cells to await execution. Indeed, Sadegh Rahimi, a deputy in the regime’s Judiciary department, has called for the speeding up of executions, stating that “the time interval between the occurrence of a crime and the issuance and execution of the sentence should be reduced. ”How can Iran be invited to chair this UN body during this killing frenzy, when it has overseen the slaying of 750 innocent civilian protesters and the arrest of a further 30,000, during the current nationwide uprising? How can the UN contemplate this appointment when it has itself launched an international fact-finding commission to investigate the crimes of the regime during the uprising?
The UN’s special rapporteur on Iran – Javaid Rehman, told the UNHRC that he was alarmed by the scale and gravity of the reported cases of murder, imprisonment, enforced disappearance, torture, rape and persecution in the Islamic Republic. He has called for an international fact-finding mission to investigate them. On December 15, 2022, the United Nations General Assembly denounced the brutal and systematic violation of human rights in Iran, yet it now seeks to reward the tyrannical regime with a key human rights appointment! It is shameful and exposes the degeneracy at the heart of the UN that enables pariah nations and human rights violators like Russia, China, Belarus, North Korea, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Iran to hold the civilized world to ransom. Bahreini’s appointment will be interpreted by the regime as a green light for more torture and killing. The mullahs will reassure their brutal Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) thugs that such international endorsement of their regime validifies their use of torture and execution as a means of repression.
The UN should perhaps take note of the mass of information that has recently been successfully hacked from the internal and top security files of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). Members of Resistance Units of the main democratic opposition movement, the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK), have gained access to an avalanche of top-secret documents including 210 websites, software applications, servers, data banks, and other elements of the regime’s MFA. The stash of records reveal how the MFA and the Ministry of Internal Security (MOIS) have used their embassies as terror cells and deployed their ambassadors as terrorists.
One of the clearest examples of this activity was the arrest in Europe of the registered Iranian diplomat Assadollah Assadi in 2018. He was caught red-handed, passing a bomb, professionally prepared in Tehran and flown to Europe in his diplomatic pouch, to three co-conspirators and instructing them to detonate it a major Iranian opposition rally in Paris. Assadi and his co-conspirators were sentenced to long jail terms in Belgium on terror charges. The leaked Iranian foreign ministry files show how the regime has gone into overdrive to secure Assadi’s release, claiming diplomatic immunity and when that failed, taking a Belgian charity worker hostage in Iran, accusing him of spying and sentencing him to 40 years imprisonment and 74 lashes. The documents illuminate how Tehran has used this tactic to try to negotiate a prisoner exchange with Belgium.
As the clerical regime enters its final phase, it is high time for the world to take concrete measures to hold it accountable for its egregious human rights violations. Iranians must be allowed to exercise their fundamental human rights without fear of reprisal. Justice and freedom are contagious, and the world must support the Iranian people in taking down their tyrants. The clearest possible indication of this support would be for the UN Human Rights Council to rescind the nomination of Ali Bahreini for the role of chair of the Social Forum. The Social Forum’s president, Ambassador Václav Bálek, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations Office at Geneva, must cancel Bahreini’s nomination and by so doing, attempt to restore some semblance of integrity to his organization.

The Fisher Mayor and the ‘ISIS Imam’
Broward County Mayor Lamar Fisher gives speech at radical mosque.
What a difference a day makes! One day, you could have the Mayor of Florida’s second most populous county address your mosque and, the next, you could have an imam who is notorious for his overt bigotry and suspected by the FBI of ISIS involvement. And that is exactly what happened, as one day, last month, Broward County Mayor Lamar Fisher spoke at the Islamic Center of South Florida (ICOSF) and, the next, radical imam Fadi Kablawi did as well. While the Mayor’s appearance at such a controversial place as this raises ‘red flags,’ in truth, Mayor Fisher has a suspect history with ICOSF, dating back to well over a decade.
ICOSF is a Pompano Beach-based radical mosque that features sermons performed by extremist imams. The mosque is owned by the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), a group that – for two federal trials held in 2007 and 2008 – was named by the US government a party to the financing of Hamas.
On April 17th, Broward County Mayor Lamar Fisher addressed the congregation at ICOSF. The event was an iftar, a break-the-fast meal offered during Ramadan. Photos from the event, including a full color pic of Mayor Fisher’s official county business card, were posted on ICOSF’s Facebook page.
Standing by the Mayor’s side, as he spoke, was ICOSF Imam Al Muthanna. Days after the Mayor’s speech, Muthanna would be photographed at the mosque with another imam, Ibrahim Dremali, both with big smiles on their faces. In May 2021, during a live interview, Dremali told others to donate to Hamas and stated, “If the Arab leaders open the borders for Palestine… the Jews they’ll be inside that ocean.”
Seated at the table next to Mayor Fisher, during the iftar meal, was ICOSF’s Dawah Director and security guard, Rasheed Mahamad. Apart from his involvement with the mosque, Mahamad is the Assistant Secretary of the American Muslim Association of North America (AMANA), a group that has been condemned by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for posting “venomous” anti-Semitic material on its website and whose President, Sofian Zakkout, was removed from two prominent anti-crime boards for his support of Hamas and Holocaust denial.
On April 18th, just one day following the Mayor’s speech, ICOSF Imam Fadi Kablawi – also with Muthanna by his side – spoke to the congregation from the same exact area as Mayor Fisher stood, when he spoke. In December 2020, Kablawi called Jews “the lowest of the lowest.” In August 2021, he blamed women victims of rape for the violence committed against them. And he has preached his own violence. In July 2020, he stated, “Real jihad is not climbing walls. Real jihad is climbing over people’s necks and heads and skulls.” Not surprisingly, Kablawi has come under the radar of the FBI, which, according to him, believes he is involved with ISIS.
The main mosque that Kablawi operates out of is the North Miami Islamic Center (NMIC), a.k.a. Masjid As Sunnah An Nabawiyyah. That is where he made all of his alarming declarations. On April 14th, ICOSF allowed Kablawi to use its facilities to raise funds for NMIC, so that Kablawi could continue to have the means to spread his bigoted vitriol. And once again, it took place from the same exact location Mayor Fisher stood.
Other imams who recently spoke in front of ICOSF include Monzer Taleb and Izhar Khan. Taleb is a self-professed member of Hamas, who posted on Facebook, in June 2019, that Jews in Israel “should be relocated to Germany.” Khan, in May 2011, was accused by the FBI of participating in a scheme to ship $50,000 to the Taliban. After spending 20 months in federal prison, Khan’s case was dismissed by a sympathetic judge. Khan’s mosque, Masjid Jamaat Al-Mu’mineen (MJAM), promotes material on its website calling Jews and Christians “enemies,” endorsing domestic violence against women, and sanctioning death punishments for gays.
In October 2022, ICOSF held a service in honor of Qais Imad Shejaiya, a dead member of Hamas’ militant wing Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), prior to his being neutralized by the IDF, Shejaiya was functioning as a Hamas gunman who had just opened fire on the Beit El Israeli settlement of Judea and Samaria, a.k.a. the West Bank. ICOSF stated on Facebook, “We pray Allah to accept “brother Qais Shejaeya” and to grant him highest place in Paradise (Jannat Al firdacus)… ‘Condolences’ will be offered… tomorrow Sunday at the Islamic Center of South Florida… 7pm to 8:15pm.”
Why would the mayor of such a large place as Broward County risk his and his elected office’s reputations to participate with an institution that has so much extremist baggage? The fact is that the Mayor has a history with ICOSF.
In February 2010, Mayor Fisher brought ICOSF then and current senior Imam Hasan Sabri to give the invocation at the Pompano Beach City Commission, where Fisher was then Mayor of Pompano. He stated to the crowd: “I ask you now to stand for the invocation, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Invocation tonight is given by Imam Hasan Sabri from our Islamic center.” Mayor Fisher, who had just taken ownership of the mosque for himself, his colleagues and the audience, rose from his seat, clasped his hands, and bowed his head in prayer, as Sabri stood directly in front of him and commenced in the honor bestowed upon him.
As a result of the imam’s invocation, which, according to one city official, Sabri had performed a number of times previously, there was a public outcry from citizens who were angered that the Mayor and Commission would invite such an individual as Sabri. The outrage was warranted. Years before the invocation, during a 2000 sermon to his congregation, Sabri denounced the United States as an “enemy” and threatened Muslims who accept America’s assistance.
Sabri stated, “Allah tells us, in the Quran, that the kuffar will continue to fight Muslims… until Muslims are either liquidated or they have joined the Christian or the Jewish faith… [I]t is imperative upon us… to understand exactly what’s happening to our brothers… so that we will know what the enemies of Islam are planning, and so that we will plan ourselves… [The US] is calling its people and its army and its nation to rush to the help of Muslims, but in reality… they want to mobilize Muslims… to use their money… and to use their lives, so that they will further [America’s] plans… [D]o not rely on the kuffar, because if you do so, you will suffer.”
Mayor Fisher, in visiting ICOSF, may have thought that his involvement with the mosque was innocuous, or maybe he believed that, by ignoring the radical and bigoted nature of the mosque, he could garner votes by speaking there. In reality, though, his pandering and participation at ICOSF gave an air of legitimacy to this extremist institution – a legitimacy that was not there prior to his talk. Instead of shunning ICOSF for its many links to hatred and terror, the Mayor provided assistance to the center’s fanatical Islamist agenda.

Erdoğan's daughter boasts: Islam will 'break the Western cross'
Resorting to jihadist rhetoric, Esra, the daughter of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, recently attacked the West and Christianity.
In a tweet written, not in her native Turkish, but in Islam's tongue, Arabic, she declared that "There is little left for the Islamic crescent to break the Western cross."
This phrase is as universally understood by Muslims as it is universally misunderstood by Westerners and is, therefore, emblematic of Muslim continuity and Western confusion.
It has both a literal and figurative meaning.
Concerning the former, Muslims have been, quite literally, "breaking the cross" in keeping with their prophet's commandment. Past and present, Muslims have destroyed and continue to destroy the crucifix — in cemeteries, on churches, on Christians — as a reflection of their animosity to the Gospel, specifically, that Christ was crucified, killed, and resurrected, three doctrines central to Christianity that Islam rejects.
Indeed, the June 2015 cover of the Islamic State's magazine, Dabiq, featured a Muslim breaking a cross off a church steeple, with the words "Break the Cross" underneath.
Less literally, "break the cross" has meant "defeat Christianity" — another thing that Muslims, past and present, have been fervently striving for — including, apparently, the ostensibly "secularized" daughter of Turkey's president.
In the past, Muslims managed, through violent jihad, to swallow up three quarters of the original Christian world — including the Middle East, North Africa, and "Turkey" (Anatolia). They also temporarily conquered several other Christian territories (Spain, the Mediterranean, the Balkans) and continuously harried the rest (eventually reaching even Iceland for slaves and provoking a newborn American into its first war as a nation).
Back then, when Islam was a formidable force, Europeans fought tooth and nail to repulse the terrorists and safeguard their homeland's faith and heritage.
Today, however, when Islam is weak and easily confined, the West finds itself bending over backwards to accommodate and take in more and more Muslim migrants — many of whom, rather than show gratitude, display Islam's traditional contempt for and prey on "infidels."
In short, whereas Muslims — including Erdoğan's daughter, a "sociologist" by profession — know well and strive to achieve the meaning of "break the cross," Westerners, who for over a millennium had been on the receiving end of such animosity, until they managed to reverse the tide in the eighteenth century, are today not only not doing anything about it, but facilitating it.
In this sense, the assertion that "there is little left for the Islamic crescent to break the Western cross" is more reflective of the state of Christianity in the West than of Islam.
President Joe Biden’s new “antisemitism strategy” has been criticized for excluding extreme criticism of Israel, in deference to radical left-wing groups that are a core part of the Democratic Party coalition. The strategy has also been attacked for potentially targeting conservatives.
But the biggest problem with the strategy is that it will not work, because it leaves out the most powerful tools for empowering Jewish communities to discourage hate.
Israel. The strategy fails to recognize that a strong U.S.-Israel relationship and a positive image of Israel are crucial to the security and well-being of Jews in America, both communally and individually. The strategy not only excludes the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, which says that singling out Israel is potentially discriminatory, but also fails to say anything positive about Israel.
The fact is that Israel’s success has, over several decades, given American Jews greater pride and confidence. Not one of the strategy’s vaunted “100 new actions” does anything to strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship. Instead the document merely claims that the Biden administration “has an unshakable commitment to the State of Israel’s right to exist,” while tactitly accepting that denying Israel’s right to exist is not antisemitic.
Guns. The single most important policy intervention that would make Jewish institutions safer from physical attack would be to arm and train more Jews to exercise their Second Amendment rights. Synagogues and Jewish schools need to become harder targets — an approach that is being taken seriously by Orthodox Jews, many of whom are obtaining firearms and creating armed community security organizations for self-protection.
The Biden strategy treats guns like they are the problem: one of its so-called “new actions” to protect Jews is actually an old executive action on “Reducing Gun Violence and Making Our Communities Safer.” Moreover, that action addresses what to do after a mass shooting, rather than how to defend communities — or how to improve criminal justice in the big, Democrat-run cities where Jews live so that violent felons are off the street.
Judaism. By far, the most significant form of antisemitism experienced by Jews on an everyday level is the embarrassment of being seen as different, or strange, by the non-Jewish society that surrounds us, no matter how tolerant it has become over the decades. This is a deeply engrained sense of inferiority that almost every Jew has felt at some point. It is the cultural baggage of centuries of discrimination, abuse, and persecution.
The way to fight this form of antisemitism is to encourage the public practice of the Jewish faith. There are vague hints in the strategy at encouraging employers to “acknowledge Jewish holidays” and other important days, but the Biden plan includes the new “International Holocaust Remembrance Day,” not the Jewish day of mourning for the Holocaust, Yom HaShoah. There is nothing in the plan about broader expressions of faith.
And there, really, is the core weakness of the strategy. The U.S. has been one of the most tolerant societies toward Jews partly because it has also been so religious, despite — or, as Alexis de Tocqueville noted, because — it does not have a state religion. But religious observance has fallen in the U.S. in recent years, as antisemitism has risen. The Biden strategy fails to address that crisis of faith, of which antisemitism is just one symptom.

A Thursday evening event held at Washburn High School in Minneapolis, located in an upscale neighborhood, was planned as a “Minnesota nice” event, celebrating diversity and the arrival over the last 3 decades of a Somali immigrant community that now comprises almost one-fifth of the city’s population. A video on the school’s website offered free admission and free food.
But as the event unfolded in the school’s auditorium, it turned into a nightmare. Alpha News reports:
Mayhem erupted at a south Minneapolis high school Thursday evening during a planned Somali cultural event and performance that resulted in fights, a stabbing, and shots fired.
According to dispatch audio at the time, one person was reportedly stabbed around 7:45 p.m. during a fight involving about 50 people at Washburn High School located at 201 West 49th Street.
As police arrived to respond to the fight, an officer called out over the air that shots had been fired, and a city-wide officer help call was toned by the dispatcher. Several squads responded from across the city as well as state troopers, Hennepin County deputies, and officers from Edina and Richfield police departments.
Two videos of the stabbing, taken from different angles, were posted to Twitter:
I grew up in the same area of the city more than half a century ago, and Washburn High was known for high academic and athletic standards. I never heard of anything remotely resembling this incident. But that was a different era, and ethnically a different city.
Washburn High School posted a statement on their website on Friday addressing the incident in which they confirmed that one person was stabbed in the auditorium after a fight broke out, and another person was injured when the fight continued outside.
They also said that both the stabbing suspect and the shots fired suspect had been arrested. Information was not able to be immediately obtained to confirm whether one of the two suspects initially detained turned out to be the stabbing suspect.
The school’s principal vows that another Somali Culture Night will held next year/.
City Council bedlam: Somali 'culture' takes Minneapolis by storm
In a May 11, 2023 article, we explored the axiom that all cultures are created equal — or, in Pope Francis's words, "never again can the Christian community allow itself to be infected by the idea that one culture is superior to others."
Two days later, that claim was put to the test right here in the USA, when bedlam broke loose in Minneapolis. On May 13, 2023:
A riot erupted in Minnesota during Democrat nominations for Minneapolis City Council on Saturday, which led to no candidate being chosen in Ward 10 after officials were forced to shut down the event over safety concerns.
Somalian supporters of city council candidate Nasri Warsame turned to political violence and reportedly assaulted Minneapolis city council member Aisha Chughtai and her supporters when she took the stage to speak at the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party's endorsing convention, the Star Tribune reports.
Video [here] shows Warsame supporters forcefully jumping on stage, banging on tables, waving signs, and shouting over both Chughtai and her supporters.
Unable to contain the disruption, convention chairman Sam Doten was forced to adjourn the meeting without a candidate being chosen citing safety reasons, and called the situation a great "embarrassment", the outlet reports.
Such a scene may be "embarrassing" for the American landscape, but it is also part and parcel of Somali culture. Violence and chaos are precisely how "politics" is done in Somalia, one of the most lawless, war-torn, and tribal nations in the world.
That Somalis felt comfortable enough to enact their culture here in America is connected to the unwavering Rule of Numbers: the more non-Westerners, especially Muslims, grow in the West, the more phenomena endemic to their nations — in this case, a breakdown of law and a rise in thuggery — grow with them.
As such and considering that Somalis make up nearly 20% of the population of Minneapolis, the deplorable display at that recent city council, while embarrassing, should certainly not be surprising.
Somalia, incidentally, is also one of the world's most radical Muslim nations. When it comes to the persecution of Christians — always a litmus test concerning the "extremism" of any given country — Somalia is considered the second-worst nation in the world (following North Korea), and the worst Muslim nation in the world (which is saying much, since 39 of the 50 worst persecuting nations are Islamic). According to Open Doors, in Somalia,
[i]mams in mosques and madrassas state publicly that there is no room for Christianity, Christians or churches. The violent insurgent group al-Shabaab has repeatedly expressed its desire to eradicate Christians from the country. Christians from Muslim backgrounds are regarded as high-value targets and may be killed on the spot if discovered.
Al Shabaab — "the youth" in Arabic, a vile organization pledged to the Islamic State — is very popular in Somalia. As such, one wonders how many Somalis living in America share in Al Shabaab's worldview — its culture.
By his very appearance — specifically his Salafi beard — the Somali behind all the recent political violence, "city council candidate" Nasri Warsame, certainly seems reminiscent of Somalia's radical "youths." While few Americans understand this, and likely "cringe" at the very suggestion that how one wears his hair or beard is suggestive of anything internal, every Muslim knows that Muslim men who wear mustacheless beards are signaling themselves as what are called "radical Muslims."
At any rate, here is what America is not only importing, but implicitly approving of in the name of "multiculturalism." After all, and despite the videotaped evidence of violence and the fact that some people were hurt and hospitalized, "no arrests were made."

Al Qaeda Lawyer Neal Katyal Blown Out in Supreme Court Ruling
Unanimous Court rejects Katyal's argument that county can seize old woman's home and take all the profits
The Supreme Court unanimously ruled Thursday against a left-wing lawyer after he tried to convince the justices that a Minnesota county was right to take all the profits from the sale of a home it confiscated from an elderly woman.
Supreme Court justices were unconvinced by arguments last month from lawyer Neal Katyal, who once defended Al Qaeda terrorists. Katyal defended Hennepin County, which contains Minneapolis, after it confiscated an elderly woman's condo and took all the profits from its sale over a small unpaid tax. The county received $40,000 from the sale of Geraldine Tyler's condo after the county seized the property in 2015 over $2,300 in unpaid taxes. Tyler, now 94, owed $15,000 in total with penalties and interest on the unpaid taxes.
The High Court ruled that states that seize and sell private property to make up for unpaid taxes cannot keep more from the sales than what a taxpayer owed.
Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the Court's opinion. "The county had the power to sell Tyler’s home to recover the unpaid property taxes," Roberts wrote, but added that the county "could not use the toehold of the tax debt to confiscate more property than was due."
The justices appeared unconvinced by Katyal's arguments in April. Justice Neil Gorsuch mocked the lawyer’s argument that expensive properties could be seized for minuscule missing payments. "So a $5 property tax, a million dollar property, good to go?" Gorsuch asked Katyal, who answered in the affirmative.
Katyal, who was acting solicitor general under former president Barack Obama, is no stranger to representing controversial defendants. He is known as a member of the "al Qaeda 7," a group of lawyers who represented al Qaeda terrorists against the Bush administration.
In 2020, Katyal appeared before the Supreme Court to defend Nestlé and Cargill, who faced charges of abetting child slavery at cocoa plantations in Africa.

“But Obama wasn’t done once he finally left the White House,” writes Joseph Klein in his essay about the Radical-in-Chief’s “Post-Presidential War on America.” Klein details how the ex-President went on to spread disinformation in an attempt to delegitimize his successor Trump, to foment generational war by nurturing “the next generation of community-organizing Obama mini-mes,” to discredit Fox News – the only mainstream cable outlet that leaned right – and to turn Netflix into his own private propaganda mill, all while hypocritically amassing a personal fortune that contradicted his socialist assertion, “At a certain point, you’ve made enough money.”
Obama’s corrosive impact wasn’t limited to our shores. On an international level, for example, Daniel Greenfield addresses, in “Obama’s Betrayal of Israel,” the breakdown in relations between the United States and our close ally in the Middle East. That alliance fractured thanks to a “total divergence of worldviews” – “moral, cultural, and strategic” – between Obama and Biden on the one hand, and Benjamin Netanyahu on the other. “Previous administrations had viewed Islamic terrorists and the Iranian regime as threats. The Obama administration, however, saw them as victims of American foreign policy… Obama believed that Israel, like America, and other allies in the region, was part of the problem.”
And our current administration, of course, shares and perpetuates that anti-Israel perspective. The result is that the entire volatile Middle East is once again a tinderbox, even as that administration exacerbates tensions in other parts of the world too, such as Ukraine, where we risk tumbling headlong into a world war that could have been averted had Donald Trump been elected in 2020.
But the chaos is all part of the plan. As Robert Spencer reminds us in his epilogue to Barack Obama’s True Legacy, Obama was photographed in 2008 clutching a copy of Fareed Zakaria’s book The Post-American World, a finger keeping his place in the pages. Spencer writes,
Zakaria’s book predicting America’s inevitable decline turned out to be a veritable blueprint for Obama’s presidency. Throughout his eight years in office, as this present book abundantly illustrates, Obama seemed determined to make Zakaria’s “post-American world” a self-fulfilling prophecy. Obama went to work from his first day in office to make Zakaria’s wishful thinking about America’s decline become a reality.
Now, in his de facto third term, the shadowy radical continues to exert his subversive influence on the Constitution, the citizens, and the country he is committed to destroying. Barack Obama’s True Legacy could not be a timelier and more important read. As Spencer concludes,
This book stands as a warning and as a primer on just how devastating Obamaism was for the United States and will be again unless vigilant, courageous, and patriotic American citizens stand, determined to employ all lawful means to defend freedom.

Obama torpedoed U.S. relations with Russia -- to perpetuate lies about Trump, Durham report found
Oh, not about the election of Donald Trump, of course, if his public statements were any indication.
He was supposedly angry, so angry, at Russia and its supposed interference in our 2016 election that he got out his pen and phone and expelled 35 Russian diplomats.
WASHINGTON — President Obama struck back at Russia on Thursday for its efforts to influence the 2016 election, ejecting 35 suspected Russian intelligence operatives from the United States and imposing sanctions on Russia’s two leading intelligence services.
The administration also penalized four top officers of one of those services, the powerful military intelligence unit known as the G.R.U.
Intelligence agencies have concluded that the G.R.U. ordered the attacks on the Democratic National Committee and other political organizations, with the approval of the Kremlin, and ultimately enabled the publication of the emails it harvested to benefit Donald J. Trump’s campaign.
The Hill reported that it was quite an array of sanctions at the time:
The measures include a slate of economic sanctions, diplomatic censure, and public “naming and shaming.” The president also hinted at possible covert cyber measures but did not provide details.
The president also announced that the State Department will expel 35 Russian intelligence operatives and shutter two Russian compounds, in Maryland and New York, used by Russia for intelligence purposes.
Taken together, the sweeping actions announced by the White House, the Treasury, the State Department and intelligence agencies on Thursday amount to the strongest American response yet to a state-sponsored cyberattack. They also appeared intended to box in President-elect Trump, who will now have to decide whether to lift the sanctions on Russian intelligence agencies when he takes office next month.
Obama even amended his own executive order to extend his powers to sanction, with travel bans and asset freezes on some Russian officials.
Just one problem: The Russians didn't do what the embittered Democrats claimed they were doing -- to Get Trump.
Nothing. They didn't hack the DNC and they didn't collude with Donald Trump to get him elected to the presidency. The charges, the expropriations, the sanctions -- were all for innocent people. Even the Russian state was innocent.
That was what Sundance at The Conservative Treehouse found buried at the bottom of the Durham report.
♦ First, John Durham clearly shows in his 306-page report with a 48-page classified appendix, that Russia did nothing to interfere in the 2016 election. The entire Russian Interference operation was a Clinton fabrication, later enhanced by a Federal Bureau of Investigation who used the fabrication as a cover-up justification to hide their surveillance of the Trump campaign.
♦ Second, accepting the empirical, factual, and inherently true reality of the first point – consider that President Barack Obama expelled 35 Russian diplomats to retain the Clinton fabrication and FBI lies. Think about this one carefully, the Obama administration expelled Russian diplomats in order to retain a domestic political ruse! President Obama did this *after* CIA Director John Brennan briefed him about the Clinton fabrication.
There were no Russian diplomats involved; there was no Russian election interference; there was no Russian hacking of the DNC; it was all a fraud created by the intelligence community (IC), FBI and Main Justice to support Hillary Clinton’s lies and then cover their own targeting tracks.
♦ Third, Robert Mueller, Andrew Weissmann, with the full support of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, indicted 14 Russian entities under completely bogus pretenses. All of that effort was done to assist the Clinton narrative, cover for Obama and then use the special counsel to cover up the Trump targeting operation. The totally bogus construct explains why the fabricated indictments were sealed in the DOJ National Security Division in perpetuity, thereby keeping the fraudulent construct hidden from public review forever.
So Obama's wrath was nothing but a fiction to protect the partisan Democrat narrative that they had been promoting about Trump and the Russians, which originated from the embittered political camp of losing Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton.
How would you feel about that if you were a Russian, especially now, reading that it was all a political hoax with you the one chosen to be the whipping boy? You got sanctioned, you got kicked out, you got travel bans, you incurred costs, and some "name and shame" all based on lies.
Might you start thinking of the U.S. as kind of a sleazy, dishonest player on the world scene? Would you have problems trusting them? Might you step up your activities against it? It would seem natural.
The Russians, remember, had already calculated by their own devices that Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 election and the Kremlin was planning for that, so they were as surprised as anyone that the American voters thought otherwise when the election results came in in November 2016.
That they were blamed for the result and sanctioned for hacking and colluding they didn't do, and knew they didn't do, and knew that Obama knew they didn't do, surely must have made them angry.
Russian President Vladimir Putin initially adopted a wait-and-see attitude to see if Trump would set things back to rights, but by March of 2017, three months into his term, Trump had appointed Democrat ally Fiona Hill to be his Russia advisor, and although she was smart enough to generally pooh-pooh the Russia collusion claims in her statements, apparently nothing was done to restore the Russia relations after Obama's partisan fit of pique at Russia's expense.
Net result: By May, Putin expelled 755 American diplomats and staff and expropriated two American properties in retaliation. That was to get the numbers of embassy personnel even, as the U.S had a much bigger official diplomatic presence in Russia than the Russians had in the U.S. That certainly didn't serve U.S. interests to say the least, given that the U.S. must have had a much bigger spy operation going on against Russia than Russia did against the U.S., or, at the least official one which seems most likely.
In other words, how did it serve U.S. interests to falsely accuse and sanction Russia for something it didn't do?
Stuff like that makes countries mad, and fosters considerable distrust. Was that in the U.S. interest? Did that raise our standing and reputation in the world or did it contribute to emerging problems? The Russians were remarkably patient for a while as the accusations were leveled but the lies kept coming and then things got ugly.
It's horrible stuff when we consider the bigger picture, and the picture we see today. Right now, the U.S. and Russia are in a proxy war against one another over Ukraine, with several hideous sideshows involving cowardly and let-the-Americans-do-it allies, as well as huge amounts of money spent at a time of high inflation with little accountability. Our military readiness has been affected just on the supply front. There are odd fires at U.S. food factories over here even as we read reports of strikes at strategic assets inside Russia. The Nordstream II gas pipeline somehow got blown up and somehow nobody knows who did it.
And as this unwelcome, unpopular, and costly entanglement with Russia goes on, China is on the rise, with increasingly aggressive actions amid reports out there that they could beat us in a shooting war. Another inconvenient development: Russia has allied with China.
The worst of this is that it need never have happened. Foreign policy should always be off limits to partisan disputes, but apparently not by Obama. Relations with Russia could have been good and ties friendly. Russia could have advanced economically and moved closer to the West had these sleazy Obama fictions never happened.
Russia has always been torn between leaning east or leaning west, and for most of the 21st century has leaned westward. Keeping Russia friendly to the U.S. would have been a boon for keeping China in check and Russia peaceable. Instead, the Russians were a convenient target for abuse by Democrats and were thrown to the wolves, all to promote the lie that Democrats were "victims" of Russian machinations instead of simply rejected by U.S. voters for their utterly repellent agenda.
That's been an expensive lie for us in the aftermath because any smart superpower should go out of its way to keep as many friends as it can, especially among the those with nuclear weapons. Making Russia an enemy for nothing more than partisan political purposes is not the act of someone who represents America. It's the act of a community organizer, a partisan political hack, a creep who shouldn't be anywhere near the levers of power, owing to an inability to distinguish the national interest from the partisan interest.
That's the old Obama we know however, and now he's disgraced us on the world stage as a dishonest sleazeball country, not a nation founded on fairness and democracy. His act and the acts of the Deep State were not only detrimental to democracy here, they were very detrimental to foreign policy abroad. False charges open the door to harsher spying, retaliation, and belligerent actions. It was yellow journalism and other schemings on the American side that got us into the Spanish-American war of 1898 when Spain was baselessly blamed for blowing up an American ship in the Caribbean. Any questions as to why Brittney Griner got such a harsh sentence for such a piddly crime in Russia? Or why a young Wall Street Journal reporter sits in some Russian prison on phony espionage charges? What on earth do the Russians think? And how can anyone fail to understand them at least for whatever they are doing with this blotch on our nation's record? Who started this garbage? How do the decent among us make it right?

James Comer Believes Barack Obama Knew of Biden Family’s Foreign Deals
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) suggested Friday that former President Barack Obama knew of the Biden family’s foreign deals with adversaries of the United States.
Speaking with Lou Dobbs on the Great America Show, Comer said Obama must have known about the Biden family business.
“I believe, Lou, that it’s because he knew what Joe Biden was doing the last year of his vice presidency,” Comer said in reference to payments worth millions the family’s business collected.
Comer revealed Wednesday that over the course of several years the family business received over $10 million from schemes in Romania and China in return for what appears to be influence peddling.
“He knew his son [Hunter Biden] was no good, and he knew this was nothing but a political liability not just for our country, not just for the democrat party, but for Obama’s legacy,” Comer added. “Because a lot of this happened during the Obama administration.”

Comer also believes Obama’s knowledge of the family’s business informed his opposition to Joe Biden’s 2020 candidacy.
“So, I think that’s why Obama didn’t want Joe Biden to run for president. I think they knew about this,” Comer said about the business. “And remember, a lot of these coverups would have happened during the Obama administration with Obama appointees in these deep state bureaucracies.”
Comer said an establishment media journalist should ask Obama if Comer’s hunch is true: “This would be a great question for Obama: Were you aware of what was going on with Joe Biden with respect to foreign policy and some of these ragtag countries around the world?”
Friday on FNC’s “Hannity,” Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) blasted the FBI and the Department of Justice for how it has handled the investigation into possible wrongdoing of the Biden family while attempting to indict former President Donald Trump for misdemeanors.
The South Carolina lawmaker said her track record showed she wasn’t in the tank for Trump and asserted the amount of evidence against first son Hunter Biden was “ridiculous.”
“I will tell you, this is, as you say, Sean — everything you said was a hundred percent true, and this is just the tip of the iceberg,” she said. “And here we have a DOJ and FBI, who are who are indicting Trump on misdemeanors and then will not investigate Biden for betraying his country. And I have to tell you, absolutely, no one can accuse me of being hyper-partisan or being in the tank for Donald Trump. But good lord, the amount of evidence, in this case, is ridiculous. They weren’t hiring Hunter Biden for his brains. They weren’t hiring certainly Hunter Biden for his brawn. They were hiring him to pay for access to the White House, and we see this pattern repeat itself over and over and over again.”
“The reports that we saw at the Treasury would appear to be racketeering,” Mace added. “That comes to mind money laundering, wire fraud. Why were they able to enrich themselves with tens of millions of dollars, including as you say, a grandchild, nieces and nephews, current wives, ex-wives, a brother, a son, you name it, and the list goes on? That family tree is very, very big, and they made a lot of money off of Joe Biden.”
PARASITE GAMER LAWYER OR JUST A TRAITOR WHO SHOULD BE TRIED AND EXECUTED?
Instead, the Biden family name has really stood for only two things: buffoonery and corruption. For fifty years, Joe Biden has managed to hold onto some slice of power in D.C. as a senator, vice president, and Oval Office stooge not because he is renowned for his erudition or virtue but rather because his doltish behavior and venal character make him ideal for others to control. Perhaps no other Washington relic has accomplished so little for the American people over such a prolonged government career or managed to harness those defects for lucrative advancement more successfully than China Joe.

American people deserve to know what China was up to with Joe Biden, especially when Beijing had already shelled out millions of dollars to Biden family members — including millions in set-asides for “the big guy.” What else is on that infamous Hunter Biden laptop? The conflicted Biden Justice Department cannot be trusted to engage in any meaningful oversight on this issue. We need a special counsel now.
Susie Gelman is absolutely the wrong candidate for US Ambassador to Israel. Ambassador to the Palestinian Authority maybe, but not to Israel.
In her role as chair of the Israel Policy Forum (someone will have to explain to me how she ever got that position), Gelman professed to love Israel as she works tirelessly against the best interests of Israel. Gelman has called Israel’s Independence Day as “Nakba Day.”
How can someone who wrote in 2018 that the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem was “the highest level of brazen partisanship in U.S.-Israel relations since Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech to a joint session of Congress in 2015 in which he expressed his opposition to the Iran nuclear deal," even agree to accept the position to sit in that embassy as the US Ambassador to Israel? That would be the height of personal and political hypocrisy by Susie Gelman.
It would also indicate to Israel that we have an American enemy sitting in our capital.
In her role as Ambassador to Israel she would be likely to implement the Biden administration’s intention behind a grant to “provide 5,000 Palestinians with commando training in Jordan and then deploy them to northern Samaria, and perhaps the South Hebron Hills." I live in Netanya, very close to the Mediterranean Sea and I look at those South Hebron Hills from my living room and from my study where I wrote this report. If I can see them, American-trained Palestinian gunmen can see me and my hometown.
Netanya is a town that has a tragic history of foolish American policies imposed on Israel and, as one of the founders of the Netanya Terror Victims organization, I say never again.

As David Greenfield, researcher, and respected journalist, summarized, Gelman, sitting in her role in Jerusalem, would be in a position to wage diplomatic war against Israel.
If Biden or Blinken pick Gelman to this role it will be perceived in Israel as an unfriendly act.
