JOE BIDEN'S AMERICA: ILLEGALS FIRST! HOUSING FOR ILLEGALS FIRST BECAUSE THEY WILL WORK 'CHEAP' AND VOTE DEM FOR MORE! - WATCH: Georgia Democrat Slams Party for Favoring Migrants over Americans

A flooded labor market from mass immigration has had a devastating impact on working- and middle-class Americans, while redistributing billions in wealth to the top one percent of earners and big business. The Democratic Party’s enthusiasm for new immigrants is pushing their African-American supporters out the back door, according to a Democratic African-American legislator in the Georgia House of Representatives.

“Every election year I hear ‘Black Lives Matter!” State Rep. Mesha Mainor (D-56) said in a tweet outlining her displeasure:

But do they? I see every other minority being prioritized except black children living in poverty that can’t read. We’ll send a million dollars to the border for immigrant services. But black communities? Not even a shout-out. I’m sorry, I don’t agree with this. I’m not backing down. I’m actually just getting started.

Mainor’s comments echo a growing concern among black citizens their interests are being subordinated to the establishment’s preference for migrants.

In Chicago, for example, blacks have organized to oppose their loss of power to immigrant voters, and to the placement of migrants in their neighborhood south of central Chicago. In Washington D.C., where blacks comprise 50 percent of the population, council members are complaining about the growing cost of aiding poor migrants.

Many comments and polls show that many blacks oppose large-scale migration — even as they also support government aid to migrants and Latinos.

Mainor’s comments got a friendly response from Americans worried about the establishment’s stealthy inflow of millions of poor migrants.

“I’m surprised to hear any state-level politician speaking up for Americans over illegal aliens, especially so if it’s coming from a Democrat,”  D.A. King, a pro-American activist told Breitbart News. King founded the Dustin Inman Society to oppose illegal migration into the state.

He continued:

I hope there are a lot of Republican legislators looking at that part of her statement because they need to speak up as well.

Here in Georgia, most of the state level politicians, including the governor, don’t speak up against illegal immigration because they’re afraid of the retribution from the special interests led by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.

The retribution for any politician under the Gold Dome here in Georgia is delivered in the form of “We will find someone to run against you in the next primary if you don’t do what we have ordered.

Among Democrats, “the secret’s kind of been out for a long time that the illegal aliens are here because they are [seen by Democrats as] potential Democrat voters, and we have only to look to California and Gwinnett County, Georgia, to see the outcome” he added.

More than 10 percent of residents in Georgia are international migrants. More than half of the migrants are illegals — and they are helping to grow the Democratic Party, flatten wages, and spike housing prices. For example, housing prices in Georgia are up 50 percent since 2020, according to real-estate firm RedFin.

Some Republicans — such as Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) — are connecting the dots between migration and housing:

Democrats’ anger at Mainor comes after she pushed for a GOP-led school choice bill that could help the children in her district.

Newsweek reported on May 21:

State Sen. Josh McLaurin, a [Georgia] Democrat, offered to donate $1,000 to a possible primary opponent. He told Axios last month that there are “many members who know Rep. Mainor is more a Republican than a Democrat, not just on [school] vouchers but on a range of issues.”

Mainor responded:

The Democrats at the Capitol took a hard position and demanded every Democrat vote against children and for the teachers union. I voted Yes for parents and yes for children, not [for] failing schools. Some of the schools I represent have a 3 percent reading proficiency and children can’t do simple math …

Well, my community loves the fact that someone is finally sticking up for them and holding the system accountable. Let’s be real: Parents do not want their child trapped in a failing school. And they aren’t frustrated with teachers. They’re upset with the elected leaders that put the teachers union and donors ahead of their constituents.

Half of the voters in Mainor’s district are black. Just one in twenty are Hispanic. Half the households in her district have an income of just $53,000. That is well below the national median income of $62,000.

“I’m not apologizing because my colleagues don’t like how I vote — when my community loves the fact that someone is finally sticking up for them,” Mainor said.

Jean-Pierre: Joe Biden Would Veto Border Security Bill

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reiterated Monday that President Joe Biden would veto House bill H.R.2 if given the chance.

House Republicans will vote Thursday on H.R.2, a bill to codify some of former President Trump’s strictest border actions.

If the Senate approves the measure, Biden would have an opportunity to secure the southern border, where millions of migrants are expected to invade upon the lifting of Title 42.

But Jean-Pierre said the measure would be dead on arrival. “If the president were presented with H.R. 2 he would veto it,” she stated.

The White House had previously announced the veto threat Monday.

“While we welcome Congress’ engagement on meaningful steps to address immigration and the challenges at the border, this bill would make things worse, not better,” a statement from the White House Office of Management and Budget said. “Because this bill does very little to actually increase border security while doing a great deal to trample on the nation’s core values and international obligations, it should be rejected.”

H.R. 2 is scheduled for a House vote on the same day that Title 42 — a Trump-era policy to be terminated under Biden. Title 42 has ensured that federal immigration officials have been able to quickly return millions of illegal migrants to Mexico over the last three years.

As Title 42 expires, H.R.2 would codify many border security initiatives, including the “Remain in Mexico” program that mandates migrants seek asylum in Mexico until a U.S. immigration court date.

The bill would also resume border wall construction, designate money to improve border security, and block taxpayer funds from being given to NGOs that work to help migrants become legal aliens.

Exclusive — AZ GOP Chair Jeff DeWit: Gov. Hobbs Rolling Out ‘Red Carpet’ for Illegal Immigrants

Gov. Katie Hobbs Welcoming Illegal Immigrants

Arizona Republican Party Chairman Jeff DeWit spoke with Breitbart News about the nation’s border crisis after Title 42 ended and criticized Arizona Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs for rolling out the “red carpet” for illegal immigrants as an estimated 700,000 migrants prepare to flood the border.

Breitbart News Saturday Host Matthew Boyle asked DeWit to speak about the conditions at the Southern border in light of Title 42’s end this week.

LISTEN:

DeWit explained that after Title 42’s end, roughly 700,000 “military-aged men,” were waiting to come into the country from Mexico, roughly estimating “one out of six adults” in Arizona.

“And when you figure we have what, seven million people in the state of Arizona? But if you figure maybe four million people are adult age, something like that. I mean, right now, it’s 700,000 people are coming across, that’s one out of six people. Theoretically, one out of six adults you see running around are illegal immigrants,” he said.

DeWit faulted President Joe Biden’s administration for incentivizing border crossers through taxpayer-funded benefits. He also explained that those entering the country are being given court dates as late as four years from today.

“And so it’s a big problem. The fact that our government brings them across and hands them a taxpayer=funded cell phone and taxpayer-funded benefits. And they’re being being given court dates,” he said.

“They’re basically running into the Border Patrol’s arms and saying, ‘Hey, I’d like my phone and all this.’ The court dates they’re giving them are saying, ‘Show up for court in 2027’ — and letting them loose in your communities with this promise to return, as you know. I don’t think this has actually happened. 2027! So it’s absurd. We’ve we’ve lost control of our southern border,” DeWit told Boyle.

DeWit said Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs is rolling out the “red carpet” for these illegal immigrants when Boyle asked whether Hobbs is trying to address the migrant crisis.

“Her plan is to basically roll out the red carpet and give them bus passes with our taxpayer money to wherever they want to go. And so no, it’s a shame. You know, if we had a Republican governor, obviously, things would be different. But no, she had a press conference the other day that was described as very awkward and basically, we’re being very welcoming is what our state is doing to this, which is what you’d expect with a liberal governor. And it’s, it’s absolutely terrible,” DeWit explained.

He then said the difference between Biden’s and former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies results in a “massive implication” for Arizona and the southern border.

Under Biden’s watch, 42 out of 46 border patrol agents at one of the sectors on the border are in the office processing paperwork instead of being out in the field catching people, according to DeWit.

He accused Biden of becoming the “puppet” of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Democrat Senate Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

“Only four of them are even out in the field to catch people. And so how many people are just getting through? It’s a free-for-all down there. Yeah, the Biden administration wants illegal immigration. I mean, that’s the bottom line with the policies they’ve done and what they’ve stated. And if you look at it, basically Biden has become the puppet of AOC and Chuck Schumer,” DeWit told Boyle.

However, he believes the Biden Administration’s promotion of unfettered immigration will ultimately help the GOP’s chances of securing the White House in 2024.

“Now I think this will help us take back the White House,” DeWit said.

“I think what they’re not calculating is that one of the reasons that Trump did so well in 2016, was, you know, building the wall and his push to stop illegal immigration, because there are a lot of even Democrats that don’t like what’s going on,” DeWit said. “And so they will flip over and vote Republican to get a strong border. So that helped us a lot in 2016. And I think that’s going to help us a lot in 2024. The problem is, how much damage will be done by the time we get to 2024?”

DeWit confirmed to Boyle that he and the Arizona Republican Party are working on securing resources to build the “ground game” for an operation that could match the Democrat’s “ballot harvesting,” or “ballot chasing,” efforts.

Report: 20 Homeless Veterans Booted from NY Hotels, Likely to Make Room for Migrants: ‘We Just Lost That Trust’

Twenty homeless veterans from the Vietnam and Afghanistan wars have reportedly been booted out of hotels in upstate New York before their expected stays were over, likely to make room for incoming migrants.

UPDATE May 19, 2023: report from the Mid Hudson News indicates the story of veterans being displaced from hotels in favor of migrants is a hoax.  Breitbart News is investigating and will report further updates as we learn more.

Original story continues:

The veterans, awaiting permanent housing, were just two weeks into their four-week stay when Sharon Toney-Finch, founder of YIT Foundation, which assists homeless and low-income veterans, received a call Sunday that they were being asked to leave, as reported by the New York Post

She told the Post that some were removed from the Crossroads Hotel in Newburgh, Orange County, and others from the Super 8 and Hampton Inn & Suites in Middletown. The veterans are now staying at a Hudson Valley hotel.

“Now we have to work from ground zero,” Toney-Finch told the outlet. “We just lost that trust [with the vets].”

The veterans’ early checkout came just days before the expiration of former President Donald Trump’s pandemic-era Title 42. To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, this allowed U.S. officials to turn away migrants who crossed the border illegally seeking asylum. While the hotels did not explicitly say the veterans had to move to make room for the migrants, Toney-Finch said the timing leads her to believe this is the case.

Since spring 2022, more than 60,000 migrants have arrived in New York City, and Mayor Eric Adams has been busing the migrants to cities such as Rockland, where the hotels have been offering housing, as reported by the Post

The Middletown hotels are reportedly on the city’s shortlist to receive migrants. Toney-Finch said her nonprofit cannot compete with taxpayer-funded dollars used to house the immigrants.

“That’s so unfair, because at the end of the day, we are a small nonprofit, and we do pay $88 a day for a veteran to be there,” she added.

“Three separate lawsuits were filed on Friday by the Town of Newburgh and Orange County seeking a court to intervene and prevent New York City from sending migrants to the area,” the Mid Hudson News reported.

REPORT: NY Hotels Boot Homeless Veterans to Shelter Released Migrants

Upstate New York hotels reportedly kicked homeless veterans from their properties to make room for migrants being bused to the region from New York City. The homeless veterans, many Vietnam-era veterans, were receiving temporary shelter in the hotels through the efforts of a nonprofit agency.

UPDATE May 19, 2023: report from the Mid Hudson News indicates the story of veterans being displaced from hotels in favor of migrants is a hoax.  Breitbart News is investigating and will report further updates as we learn more.

Original story continues:

The New York Post reports that nearly two dozen homeless veterans “have been booted from the upstate hotels to make room for migrants.” One of the hotels told a 24-year-old Afghanistan war veteran their temporary housing was being pulled out from under them and they would have to move somewhere else.

Sharon Toney-Finch, CEO of the Yerik Israel Toney Foundation, told the New York Post, “Our veterans have been placed in another hotel due to what’s going on with the immigrants.”

Toney-Finch said they moved the veterans from the Crossroads Hotel in Newburgh, New York, to other nearby motels and hotels. The properties were located about 20 minutes from where they were displaced.

Orange County, New York, is now the target of a migrant busing campaign by New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The mayor is moving the migrants out of his sanctuary city to Upstate New York to relieve migrant overcrowding in his city.

The veterans had been placed in the first hotel under a four-week temporary housing program while the nonprofit agency attempted to find another solution for their housing needs. The veterans were about two weeks into the program “when they got the boot,” Toony-Finch stated.

“A lot of them are Vietnam veterans. We do help them on a constant basis to get them benefits and help them find a place in society,” she explained, adding, “Now we have to work from ground zero. We just lost that trust [with the vets].”

Republican New York State Assemblyman Brian Maher told the Post, “Shining a light on this is important because we need to make sure these hotels know how important it is to respect the service of our veterans before they kick [them] out of hotels to make room.”

New York Democrat Congressman Pat Ryan, whose 18th congressional district covers the northern suburbs and exurbs of New York City, took to social media to condemn the “incompetence” of city officials in displacing the homeless veterans.

New York Republican Congressman Marc Molinaro also took to social media to denounce the “absolutely inexcusable” treatment of the homeless veterans, which he described as “the result of incompetence and lack of compassion.”

Tooney-Finch said the hotel made the move to expel the veterans based on money. “They get paid more [for the migrants],” she stated. “That’s so unfair, because at the end of the day, we are a small nonprofit, and we do pay $88 a day for a veteran to be there.”

It is not clear what the city is paying for the housing of the bused migrants from New York City.

Democrats Pitch Plan to Turn NYC University Dorms into Migrant Shelters

WASHINGTON DC - NOVEMBER 4 A cleaning crew waits to start work in front of the Howard Plaza Towers at Howard University on November 4, 2021 in Washington DC. A pair of Democrats are urging New York universities and colleges to transform their student dorms into migrant shelters as border crossers and illegal aliens continue arriving daily.

Since the spring of 2022, more than 60,000 border crossers and illegal aliens have arrived in the sanctuary city of New York City. In response, Mayor Eric Adams (D) has turned to housing most migrants in hotels, a lucrative policy for the city’s powerful real estate lobby.

Reps. Dan Goldman (D-NY) and Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) are now asking officials at New York universities and colleges to turn their student dorms into migrant shelters.

“During the summer, many of your institutions have empty dorm rooms, student apartments, and other potentially appropriate places for shelter that can serve as much-needed temporary housing for migrants. We also ask for your help as we work with local leaders to provide food assistance and other necessities as well as pro bono legal assistance to migrant families arriving in New York,” the Democrat congressmen write:

As more families continue to arrive in New York, it is critical that all sectors of our society, including the private sector and institutions of higher education, also support the City’s commitment to providing these basic necessities to migrant families. Reports indicate that New York State is considering SUNY campuses as a place to temporarily house families. Many of your institutions also have prestigious law schools, medical facilities, and admit students who are committed to public service. We encourage you to develop programs that incentivize and support faculty and students to volunteer their time and talent to serve asylum seekers and their children. [Emphasis added]

State governors such as Florida’s Ron DeSantis and Texas’ Greg Abbott would like us to turn against each other and embrace anti-immigrant sentiments. We must show the rest of the country that when all sectors of our society come together, we can live up to our highest values and ideals as we welcome new immigrants to our community. [Emphasis added]

Like Adams, Democrats representing New York in Congress have not sought to pressure President Joe Biden’s administration to eliminate its Catch and Release network. Instead, they are looking to turn waves of illegal immigration into a boon for employers by more quickly giving work permits to border crossers and illegal aliens.

In addition to potentially putting border crossers and illegal aliens in student dorms, New Yorkers are set to foot an annual $75 million bill to put up border crossers and illegal aliens in Manhattan’s iconic Roosevelt Hotel.

Adams has noted that the cost of illegal immigration to New Yorkers, who are paying about $5 million every day to deal with the issue, will far exceed $4.3 billion when lost tourism money is factored in.

Moody’s Analytics: Skyrocketing Rents Across U.S. Far Outpace Income Growth

Gabby Jones/Bloomberg

Skyrocketing rents across the United States are far outpacing income growth, making housing for working- and lower-middle-class Americans even more unaffordable, an economic report published by Moody’s Analytics details.

The report shows that while U.S. rents since 1999 have jumped almost 135 percent, incomes have only climbed about 77 percent.

“Last year, the share of American household income needed to rent an average-priced apartment crossed the rent-burdening 30 percent threshold for the first time in Moody’s nearly 25 years of tracking the U.S. average rent-to-income ratio,” the report states:

Rising mortgage rates caused many households to be priced out from buying a home, and kept would-be buyers in their apartments. Rental demand surged as a result and drove rates sky high. [Emphasis added]

In 1999, New York was the only U.S. metro area where rent consumed more than 30 percent of a household’s monthly income. A median-income household renting there would have spent nearly 54 percent of their income for an average-priced apartment. [Emphasis added]

By the end of 2022, seven metros had rent burdens greater than 30 percent — six are located on the East Coast. [Emphasis added]

As the report details, “increased demand has put pressure on rental rates and made it harder for renters to find affordable housing.”

A portion of that increased demand is driven by the nation’s decades-long mass immigration policy which admits more than a million legal immigrants annually plus a million foreign visa workers — in addition to hundreds of thousands of new illegal aliens who are added to the United States population every year — all of whom need places to live.

As Breitbart News reported, the U.S. population hit 333.3 million residents in 2022. More than 80 percent of that population growth is due to legal immigration, which was raised to sky-high levels in the early 1990s by then-President George H.W. Bush and has not been reduced since.

Since 1999, nearly 16 million immigrants have been added to the U.S. population.

“Letting in too many people drives up housing costs for normal Americans,” Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) wrote in a Twitter post. “Stop Biden’s border crisis, and stop his war on home affordability.”

Even advocates for mass immigration have admitted that the policy increases rents and home prices for mainly working- and lower-middle-class Americans.

Last week, New York Magazine wrote that mass immigration is “bad for housing prices,” joining other establishment media outlets — including the New York Times and Wall Street Journal — which have made such an admission.

Likewise, a study by the Michael Bloomberg-funded New American Economy group explained how the importing of tens of millions of immigrants over decades helped raise housing prices by $3.7 trillion for the next generation of homebuyers, but spun the figure as the creation of “housing wealth.”
